• aren has tried to convince kusuo to start doing art or writing as a way to get his feelings out (since hes so bad at communicating lmfao) but it always goes wrong.

• aren is very into scrapbooking, and scrapbooks every one of their dates. its often just a page about their time together that week, since theyre together a lot and its not always clear whats a "date" and what isnt.

• it doesnt matter how they fall asleep, aren almost always ends up on top of kusuo by the time they wake up (kusuo complains but he obviously loves feeling his weight on him).

• whenever its cold, kusuo warms himself up and gets close to aren just so he'll notice how warm he is and pull him closer. he denies that its intentional.

• aren always gives kusuo a bite of his food. ALWAYS.

• kusuo bakes for aren, but aren always insists on helping and sharing the food with him.

yea for sure!! honestly it's a big factor of how i personally interpret their relationship. i don't have the vods on hand so this is gonna need an element of "trust me bro" but it's there

i think wilbur and niki were very good friends, but there were fundamental things to how they each operate that the other never really... grasped? it's something that isn't always explicitly said in canon, but always stands out to me. some parts aren't exclusive to just them, but it forms this broader pattern that spans them from day 1 to the end of the server.

the starting key to all this is the manberg-pogtopia era - wilbur is exiled, niki offers help, and he asks her to stay. there's a really telling interaction imo when wilbur and tommy are scampering around manberg (i think they were stealing supplies iirc?) and wilbur and niki have a conversation over in-game chat. wilbur asks niki to stay in manberg, and niki responds in-chat that she will, but she's visibly upset by the response and mumbles as such to herself afterwards. and after that, wilbur kind of falls into a mental pit, and he stops considering niki's safety in manberg until she is literally about to die right in front of him. and then he doesn't explain the "let's blow up manberg" plan at all, so niki is left with the realisation that wilbur tried to blow up manberg, presumably with her in it, without knowing just how quickly he sabotaged his own plan to save one of her lives...

and on niki's side, she's in the same box as everyone else when it comes to not understanding wilbur's issues in pogtopia. she agrees with fundy on nov 16 that wilbur has changed, and he's not the same wilbur from l'manberg anymore - she's still loyal to him, but she (like everyone else) doesn't really piece together that wilbur is suffering from mental problems that have spanned back to the presidency. he's just changed. he's not the same wilbur who was her friend (even if she still looks out for him the same way).

then when niki unearths the TNT underneath the presidential podium, she doesn't say anything or actively try to seek wilbur out (although they were all pretty quickly distracted by techno) - she trusts him, but she doesn't understand that wilbur has been giving off suicidal red flags all day (two of them explicitly onscreen, towards her - leading her to mushroom and giving her the blue, and arguably whatever happened with that coat offscreen) and that wilbur going missing right as she discovers the TNT is there and ready to blow is a massive, massive danger sign. and i mean, why would she. like everyone else, she thought that they won and that there was no reason why wilbur would want to destroy the place anymore. she didn't get quite how far he had spiraled.

it's that seed of misunderstanding that lets niki's feelings fester from doomsday onward. wilbur didn't kill himself, he abandoned her. it wasn't because he was dealing with suicidality, paranoia, delusions and pretty steep mood changes, it was because he actually never cared about her or anyone and all he cares about is chaos and destruction and he always thought she was a stupid, foolish dog at his heel. ghostbur's existence is an offence that tips her entire perception of what is real and what isn't. and when the target of niki's anger - tommy - is killed and revived, she has to shift all that unresolved grief and anger and misunderstanding onto the specter of wilbur.

starting to get into more fanon territory, i think wilbur puts niki on a bit of a pedestal. pre-death, even pre-spiral, the thought that she may struggle in manberg - that she's physically safe (which let's be honest, she was not) and that she will be fine - doesn't even cross his mind. despite being good friends, he never goes to her with his stress and worries as president. post-revival, he hems and haws over his apology to her for weeks before he makes it, and ironically he's been out of her life for so long that he doesn't even know she tried to murder his little brother. niki is a bit more proactive, but she doesn't understand wilbur's nature - largely, she doesn't understand his struggles with mental health (and he never shared them before pogtopia, and in pogtopia he was a whole other kettle of fish, so why would she?) and how it influences his behaviour. wilbur does a lot of shitty things, he does a lot of scheming, but he's never directly trying to fuck her over in the way she comes to believe he did. she was collateral. and that is it's own kind of pain, but it's not the mustache-twirling kind of disdain that she seems to think he had for her at doomsday and when she responds to news of his revival.

anyway. i think that wilbur's apology to her stripped back some of those misunderstandings between them (esp because niki had gone through her own mental health gauntlet by then, and come out with a stronger support network for it), but it was moreso about re-establishing that despite everything else, they still care for one another and that's what important.

please consider Ratchet thinking that the tiny person he helped out when he was still in medical school was a fever dream (too much coffee, not enough sleep). Only to get blindsided when a different tiny person shows up one day, loud and obnoxious but clearly worried about his friend who is injured, begging for Ratchet's help. And well, Ratchet doesn't know what to with the fact that Drift is REAL, but he DOES know what to do if someones bleeding out.

Or the flipside of that, Drift returning to his old house that he nearly died in, and finding out that the tiny man who helped him during that time is REAL and not a drug induced hallucination. If you want to get extra tasty with it, Drift almost stabs Ratchet, the blade THUNKING down in front of the borrower as Drift glares down at him. He wasn't even been looking, he just knew Ratchet was there. But as soon as Drift sees him his eyes widen and soften, as recognition finds him and he whispers... "Ratch?"

(I imagine he IMMEDIATELY panics and pulls the blade out because OH GOD HE NEARLY KILLED RATCHET) and can you tell i really want to draw this but also i really dont want to draw People.

And of course you can't forget tired veteran OP who has been passing messages with a mysterious stranger in the library who writes the most beautiful poetry and has a fresh new perspective on life, albeit one that is jaded, hardened by a life of being underfoot, downtrodden and struggling to survive day to do,,,,, like. Also if you go borrower!Soundwave and Prowl (Human Constructicons+Jazz) then you get the two of them working together somewhat begrudgingly at first- they have a working respect for each other that gives way to mutual appreciation for each other's logical prowess and intelligence, things that are required when trying to navigate a house filled w/ 5 rowdy guys. In that same version you have Rumble, Frenzy and their like. 8 dads. Since they're human, it's easier for the other humans to wrangle them but Soundwave and Prowl are the real powerhouses there who keep everyone in line.

In the one where the Constructicons are menacing J/P, they all slowly befriend Jazz first, who stays well out of the way of Prowl's investigations- he could tell him, but... this is the most fun he's seen Prowl have in a long time and it looks good on him. Also getting doted on by the pack of borrowers is a nice perk.

i literally cannot create fast enough to keep up w this. Also logically if I did anything I'd. probably cut down the amt of characters so I don't have to deak w/ as many interconnecting pieces but IN MY HEART OF HEARTS THIS IS THE DREAM

beach day i think would be fun with keigo! i grew up at the beach so i’m more used to it, but it’s always fun seeing people who Aren’t used to it have fun and want to do things (and also i definitely think he’s picking me up and dropping me into the ocean for funsies). it’d be best in the evening though, because we could watch the sun set and have a little bonfire, i’m a big fan of roasting the marshmallows but less of a fan of eating them but i feel as if kei has that covered (and i can show him how to hunt for ghost crabs! i love ghost crab hunting it’s so fun)

i’ve seen some talk lately about how superhero civilian outfits have become boring and uninspired, and that their outfits in the 70s/80s showcased a lot more individual personality. which kara outfits from back then would you say suited her the most?

thank u so much for this question i love thinking about kara's civilian outfits <3 here are some of my favorites from the 70s/80s:

(my favs from this are the green pants/black top and the pink skirt outfits from the top row <3) they're all very cute and fun. there was obviously effort put into designing something she would genuinely wear, and i think everything that they put her in does a good job at getting across what her personality was at the time. she was very confident and actually really enjoyed fashion, which you could chalk up to male writers thinking "what do women find interesting? clothing, obviously." BUT i do view kara as a very artistic person (in every field—acting, painting, music etc etc) so it definitely ties into that for me!

and because i spent a good half hour collecting panels of kara's more modern outfit choices, here's my thoughts on her fashion from other eras:

when kara was first reintroduced in 2004 it was clear that the outfits she was put in were chosen to maximize her sexual appeal:

to me this just reads as what the artists (ian churchill and michael turner in this case) found attractive. there's no real character reason for why she chooses to dress this way, which i guess is fitting considering how she was characterized during this time. imo she really didn't have a discernible personality beyond "oversexualized 2000s teenage girl". later on (when loeb and kelly stopped writing her) her clothing choices get more personality and it seems like there's genuine thought put into what she's wearing:

i'm generally not a fan of 2000s/2010s fashion (i do think a lot of these outfits are cute though!), but it's clear to me that the artists thought "what would kara—someone who's in her late teens and had been on earth for a couple years at this point—choose to wear?" instead of "what is the sexiest thing that i, a grown man, can think to put this teenager in?"

now for rebirth—i don't like how she dresses (i think it's boring and uninspired), BUT i do think it's fitting for her personality at this time. early on in rebirth kara was characterized as being pretty reserved and unsure of herself. all her clothes are fairly plain and she also worked at catco (cw supergirl my enemy) so she pretty much just wore business casual outfits all the time:

and i don't love it! it's just shirt-jacket-pants over and over again (with some exceptions). and it makes sense! she's trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep her identity hidden, so i get that she'd wear some plainer clothing that contrasts with what she wears as supergirl. and obviously it's important to keep in mind that she's like 16 at this point, so it's not like i expect her to have a super intricate wardrobe, but again it's just boring to me. it's somewhat fitting! but it stinks.

So many. Since nothing actually happens with Solas' blood magic besides hallucinating Varric (weak), the fade prison is the main event of Elio's character arc during the events of veilguard. I also think the regret prison should've been more about accepting and realizing the things you regret, learning that even though you may want to change the past and make better choices you can't and decide to move forward despite it all, trying to not commit the same mistakes.

So with in that in mind for Elio the people from his past he sees in there (from least impactful to most) would be his ex boyfriend who he regrets not giving a real chance when it came to their relationship and compromising on certain issues, his parents (who he actually only just met recently but. they're figures who've haunted his past so i'm counting them here <3) and he regrets searching for them and holding out hope that once they finally met they could become a family and that they would want him/love him and Viago, who Elio regrets trying to get a brother-like connection out of and also regrets (what he believes is) destroying the tenuous relationship they did have with his blunder with the antaam and at the same time undermining Viago's position as talon with both the other houses and within house de Riva.
