Peanut Butter Spread: A Nutrient-Packed Powerhouse by Ketones Nutrition
This is drooling to be spread upon your diet, and the Peanut Butter Spread of Ketones Nutrition is the harmonious blend of taste and health, perfect for all fitness enthusiasts, weight-watchers, or those who would just love something wholesome to enjoy.
Near Shikrapur Chowk, Nagar Road, Pune, Maharashtra. 412208

This one contains amazing proteins that will help in rebuilding your muscles. At the serving, it will provide approximately 8 grams of protein; therefore, it is perfect as a post-workout snack. Full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that help bring about cholesterol balance besides helping to reduce inflammation and contribute generally to cardiovascular health.
It contains energy-building abilities
Whether it is an early morning product to be used for that day’s energizing input or a mid-afternoon enhancer to get one through the rest of the day, it’s got the fuel one will need. This slow-burning formula, as presented by natural fats and proteins, will stay a little longer and keep one fuller and more energetic. Excellent for individuals busy students who look for the healthiest fast snack and athletes who need the energy to help their performance.
Rich in Vitamins and Minerals
This healthy consumption is the powerhouse of vital vitamins and minerals. It consists of Vitamin E, magnesium, and potassium that help in developing healthy skin, reduce cases of muscle cramps, and also help improve the functioning of the brain. Then there is fiber, supporting smooth digestion and regulation of blood sugar.
Helps the system maintain its weight End
The peanut butter does not gain weight but rather maintains weight due to moderation. This proves wrong the common belief that taking this product results in gaining weight, which as stated above proves wrong with the case of the richness in the level of protein and fat in it, keeping one full and thus less craving for unwarranted snack-taking. All this results in no overeating and aids in maintaining an appropriate diet.
Multifunctionality in the kitchen
Another great benefit that can be bestowed for the Peanut Butter Spread by Ketones Nutrition is that you can put it anywhere. Some users place them as toppings on their toast, other users include them in their smoothies, while some put them as a dip for fruits and vegetables. But no matter how one may apply it, it comes with a gooey-like nature and excellent flavors in foods for otherwise healthy snacking.
But Ketones Nutrition Peanut Butter Spread is just so dandy with its score of protein-rich nutrients, healthy fats, and everything else that matters. And of course, this should be kept in every pantry as one of those things that would be there when the need arises to fuel workout sessions, to maintain weight management, or even just to tackle snack attacks.

You Have Pretty Hair [Legolas X Reader]
Tumblr media
A.N: so this one shot has some pieces from my fanfic (link in description) but I altered it for a legolas x reader formate cuz I figured you all would be interested because on wattpad so many users said they loved it! So if you recognize it....that’s why!!!
Request: none
Pairing: Legolas X Reader
Summary: (Y/N) is traveling with the fellowship and they end up drinking one night and Legolas has to take care of (Y/N)
Word Count: 2,270
Warnings: none
(gif not mine)
MASTERLIST
(Y/N), a young female ranger of the Dunedain and close friend of Aragorn’s, grinned when she saw a worn down sign that read: The White Lion Inn. She had chosen to accompany the fellowship on the quest to destroy the one ring, for her sword skills and healing abilities would provide useful. She had trained under Isildur’s heir for many years and was well aquatinted with the lays of the lands.
The weary members of the fellowship trudged through the door hoping for a comfortable bed, hot meal, and some quality ale. When they entered, the diverse group was immediately greeted by the sound of drunk humans and off-pitch tavern songs. Many uncertain eyes wandered across them for they had just demolished a pack of orcs so they were quite a sight to see. (Y/N) had a bloody head wound and was splashed with dark orc blood; Boromir, Aragorn, and Gimli had a handful of superficial cuts whereas Legolas was completely unscathed. Not to mention they were accompanied by a wizard and four hobbits. An interesting group indeed.
The wooden walls of the tavern were dimly lit by candles and lanterns while the room was filled with intoxicated, dirt covered travelers—not the most appealing of types. Furthermore, the stale air smelled of ale and three days old piss. But alas, it was better than the bone chilling coldness of outside and the threat of Sauron’s spies.
Gandalf suggested they get cleaned up before diving into drinking, but (Y/N) had other ideas.
She smirked at the sight before her. She loved taverns and she loved drinking. She hadn't had any alcohol since her arrival at Rivendell so she was quite deprived from the ensnaring numb sensation it provided.
The female Ranger immediately walked up to the barkeep and tossed a coin onto the counter, "One pint of the good stuff."
The bar tender glanced at the blood covered woman and raised his eyebrows, but he did not question anything for he often saw strange folk with strange business in this part of town. He plucked a glass from the shelves behind him and generously poured a tall tankard with bitter ale. He slid it across the counter towards her and she offered a quick thanks.
......
It was not long until most of the fellowship had started drinking. Gandalf, Sam, and Frodo had retired early for they were exhausted and had no interest in getting drunk. Merry, Pippin, and Gimli however had started a drinking contest while the two human men observed with laughter. Legolas only had two pints, which did absolutely nothing for him. (Y/N) on the other hand was on her 6th? 7th? She had lost track a long time ago and was completely utterly waisted.
Currently, the female ranger was on the top of the table dancing and laughing with the two hobbits (who were slightly less drunk). The three beings’ arms were locked and they were swinging around and around giggling uncontrollably. Merry and Pippin sung tavern songs terribly while accidentally kicking the bowls of peanuts to the floor with their large hairy feet. It was quite a sight, amusing to all onlookers.
Pippin nodded in Legolas's direction. The elf was sitting at the bar talking to the barkeep for he was the quiet type and preferred calm company.
"(Y/N), what do you think of Legolas?"
She stumbled and let out a loud belch before slurring out, "He's ssuper talll."
Pippin grinned, "I agree with you there as I am quite short as well! But he’s considered average if you compare him to Strider and Boromir.”
A confused look crossed the ranger's face for a moment before she giggled again.
“Oh....right....”
She then called out to Boromir sitting below her, “PASS ME ANOTHER PINT!"
The Gondorian immediately handed her another and she took a big swig from it.
With his elf hearing, Legolas listened in on the conversion. He couldn't help but smirk at the drunken stupidity of (Y/N). He observed that she had always been a carefree spirit and it seemed that alcohol brought that aspect out further. However, as soon as he heard her call for another pint he knew he needed to interfear. She was incredibly intoxicated and adding another drink to that would not be smart. Legolas left his stool and briskly walked towards the table of his friends.
(Y/N)’s grin widened when she saw the elven prince, "Legolas!"
Merry then insisted that he join their dancing and (Y/N) released another giggle, but the moment was interrupted as the female Ranger lost her footing and fell forward—off the table. She felt her body smack against something firm that smelled of pine and honey. Quite strange for something that smelled so good to be in this less than tasteful place. She squinted in puzzlement as the world around her distorted; it was upsidedown, twisted, warped.
What was going on?
Her gaze landed on bright blue eyes that stared down at her with uncertainty. That’s when the realization hit her. She was in Legolas’s arms. She frowned.....and her tunic was soaked wet? The alcohol must have spilled out of the tankard that she had been holding. She lazily examined Legolas and a giggle escaped her lips when she realized he was also covered in the ale.
(Y/N) continued to marveled at the blonde elf who was evaluated her drunken state. She laughed again. "You have muscly arms," she said with a slur.
Legolas sighed and made eye contact with Aragorn. The uncrowned king nodded, knowing exactly what Legolas was asking. They both silently agreed that (Y/N) had had enough.
“All right," the elf said as he put her down, "You're done." The last part of his sentence sounded stern, commanding, and showed that he was slightly pissed off—not that the drunk ranger could pick up on that.
Legolas didn't understand how she got so careless to drink this much while they were on a very important mission. Quite frankly, he was surprised Aragon had let it get this far as he had assumed the figure of older brother long ago; but alas, (Y/N) was a grown woman who was perfectly capable of making her own decisions.
The Elven Prince took the half filled pint from her hand and passed it to Boromir. Legolas then grabbed her arm and slightly tugged her in the opposite direction, but she reached out and snatched the unfinished pint from the Gondorian. She quickly took another big gulp before Legolas pulled the tankard from her hand once again. He firmly set it down on the table and shot Borimir a look.
The elf then pulled the grumbling ranger by her arm, more forcefully this time. He lead her to the barkeep and held her upright, "One room key please,"
The man looked at the state of the drunk woman and chuckled, "Good luck with that one."
He passed the elven prince the key and Legolas tugged (Y/N) to the crooked wooden stairs. He motioned for her to go up. She glanced at the step and let out another giddy laugh before lifting her leg. She was able to climb up a couple steps before falling back against Legolas chest. He easily caught her and held her waist until she regained some balance. She again lifted her foot but immediately stumbled. Legolas shook his head in frustration, bent down slightly, and scooped her up bridal style. He began to assend the stairs as she whined to go back for another pint. The elf’s ears turned light pink as he heard his friends snickering at the current situation he was in. He chose to ignore it; someone had to take care of her.
Legolas opened the door to the small room and sat (Y/N) down on the bed, her legs dangling off the side. He poured some water from a pitcher onto a towel and turned back to the drunk woman. He gently wiped her face with it, making sure to erase the dirt and dried blood from the outdoor adventure.
Legolas carefully began to clean the small wound on her head. He wished she would have done so earlier for an injury was not to be left untended; but alas, when she made a decision she stuck by it.
He watched as (Y/N)’s eyebrows furrowed and she tried to pull away from the cloth. "Cold, cold, cold," she grumbled like a child.
Legolas sighed, "(Y/N), don't make this difficult."
She groaned once more before letting out another giggle. The blonde elf raised his eyebrows in question.
"You," She slurred, "have prettyyy hair.”
She reached her hand out and grasped a handful of his blonde locks, “Can youu braid mine like that some day!?”
He chuckled, “Maybe.”
Legolas reached upward and carefully untangled her fingers from his hair for he was fearful that, in her drunk state, she would end up getting them stuck in it.
The Prince had dealt with a lot of intoxicated elves in his lifetime, but (Y/N)’s behavior was so innocent and seemed to be even more amusing. Humans—always an interesting species. He still was angry at her lack of self control when it came to drinking, but it was hard not to smile at her intoxicated actions and words.
The blue eyed elf's hands made their way to her hair. He gently pulled out the tie from the messily twisted bun, allowing her locks to cascade down her shoulders.
"(Y/N)," Legolas started.
She let out another giddy laugh.
Legolas sighed, "What is it now?"
"I thinks I had too many alcohols."
Legolas smirked at her improper grammar, "Yes, indeed you did."
She let out yet another giggle.
"(Y/N), your tunic is wet with ale and orc blood. Do you wish me to find a servant to assist you?"
She closed her eyes and shook her head while grasping onto his sleeve, "Youu just help me."
Legolas lips parted as he felt a blush creep up his neck and upon his ears. He cleared his throat, "(Y/N), I'm not su—"
The woman interrupted him, "You." She paused in attempt to gather her drunk words together, "I trustt you over some random strangeeer."
Legolas let out a nervous exhale but nodded.
He ruffled through her bag until he came across an extra black tunic. He grasped the soft fabric in his calloused hands and stood in front of her.
"Are you wearing anything under this?"
She nodded. Her words slurring as she spoke, "MHhmm, uunderrrgarments to coverr my brea—"
He interrupted her awkwardly, "(Y/N), I know how basic anatomy and clothing work."
Legolas gently took hold of the bottom of her dirty tunic and begun to pull it up and over her head, careful not to get any orc blood on her skin. He could feel his cheeks heating even more as her shirt rose; he was just grateful she was too intoxicated to notice. He gently untangled her arms from the disgusting fabric and removed it completely.
She sat on the bed with eyes closed as she begun to sway slightly. The blonde elf's gaze trailed down her body cautiously, taking in her appearance. Her undergarment encased her chest, covering what needed to be. However, it clearly accentuated the curves of her breasts and the shape of her torso. He watched as her skin and toned muscles rippled ever so slightly with small movements. She was utterly beautiful, despite her terribly drunken state. Legolas swallowed dryly. He felt the desire to touch her soft skin and inch his hands over her form crept into his mind; but he did not want that while she was intoxicated. Her well-being was his top priority. Besides, they were not courting. He doubted she even knew of his affections.
Legolas pulled the new, clean tunic over her head and assisted her in getting her arms through. He felt slightly relieved that it was over for the situation had been quite compromising.
If anyone had walked in......
If Aragorn had walked in.....
The elf’s mind wandered slightly at the thought of his friend. Strider made no move to assist Legolas with the intoxicated young woman that he had trained. It was almost as if he had let the elf take care of her on purpose.
Legolas blushed.
That cheeky bastard.
Aragorn had to have done that on purpose. Legolas remembered all the times Strider had paired him and the female Ranger to collect firewood and watch for Sauron’s enemies. The man’s twinkling eyes and mischievous looks......he definitely did this on purpose.
Legolas sighed once again before tuning back the (Y/N). He quickly pulled off her boots and then pulled back her covers. He then helped her climb into the soft comfort of the feathery bed. The Elven Prince sat on the edge of the mattress and gently ran his hand through her hair to coax her to sleep; and there he stayed watching over her.
.......
The female ranger walked down the stairs to the tavern. She was rubbing her temples and groaning with every step. Her head pounded like drums, the light blinded like white fire, and everything was just too damn loud.
She saw that most of the fellowship was all sitting around a table across the room, many of them with the same problem as her.
Legolas unexpectantly appearing near her and chuckled when she walked past him, "feeling better?"
She sent him a death glare and grumbled in response. She plopped down on the bench across from Merry and Pippin and next to Boromir.
The Gondorian nudged the female ranger, "Do you have any memory of last night?"
She groaned, "Why? What happened?"
At that moment Aragorn slid onto the bench next to (Y/N) with a big grin on his face. He spoke with a tone filled of taunting amusement, "Legolas took care of your drunk ass!”
(Y/N) groaned at that statement and put her head on the table.
Of fucking course.

🌷🍋🧃 my april faves 🧃🍋🌷
you thought that post about bringing monthly faves onto kinblr was a joke? you thought wrong <3 putting this under a readmore because it’s going to be long lol
>> animanga
🔅 netflix’s aggretsuko! i binge watched it this month and it was really good. wasn’t crazy about season 3 but i loved the first 2 :) i love retsuko and her horrible taste in men like i’ve never felt more seen. mental. i wasn’t too much of a fan of director ton’s redemption arc because like... i don’t know, like he starts off super misogynistic and horrible and it’s framed as something where he’s trying to push retsuko to do better? overall it’s super cute, though.
🔅 jujutsu kaisen! no big surprises here from tumblr user antigojos, but i’m enjoying it a lot. i love gojo but being in a room with him for over 5 minutes would make me go literally insane.
🔅 mob psycho 100! well, you know ;)
>> video games
🔅 love nikki. my ultimate guilty pleasure game. anime dress up with Plot. not super dependent on microtransactions for a free mobile game, i’ve spent 0$ on it and i love it! i contribute to the wiki every so often :)
🔅 spider solitaire. fun but it makes me feel like an old man. reigen arataka simulator 2021
🔅 skribbl.io. it’s a great place to practice my digital art. love the language learner/artist solidarity there. mostly a really sweet community <3
>> food & drink
🔅 nature valley’s peanut butter dark chocolate granola bar. it’s excellent like i’m literally obsessed. i don’t like most granola bars because i’m not a huge fan of dried fruit plus i don’t like super sweet granola bars because at that point i might as well eat a brownie for breakfast but it’s so good.
🔅 extra refreshers mint mix. ok it’s gum not food but you get the point. i still can’t really tell the difference between spearmint, peppermint, sweet mint and wintergreen but it has a pretty combination of green colors and that’s enough for me.
🔅 dole frozen mango chunks. ohhh my god so fucking good. the dole kind is better than the cub generic brand because the cub generic is rock hard but the dole kind has like, a softness to it that makes it so delicious.
🔅 starbucks espresso frap. so good it’s like a coffee slurpee. that’s it that’s the review.
🔅 hello kitty water bottle. ok so last year i impulse bought a hello kitty water bottle from target because i was depressed and it was 8$. i fucking loved that water bottle and used it constantly and then it got gross and i was so so sad. it was kind of janky and the print had a visible seam on it but it was hello kitty and that’s what matters. i go to target for back to school shopping and what do i see? the same hello kitty water bottle with an improved print and a mint strap! i bought it ofc and its so cute :)
>> fashion
🔅 wrangler relaxed fit black cargo pants. the poor man’s tripp pants. i bought them for 20$ at target and they’re so comfy and the pockets are huge. all i can think about is “but i told him i was masc :(” when i wear them fhdsjfh
🔅 gold toe knee high black socks. we couldn’t find the cheaper kind of long black socks that i usually wear (that look dope with rolled up jeans) and so we got the pricier kind and theyre sooo fucking soft <333 like i hate to plug brands but like. omg
🔅 pack of like 20 pairs of earrings i got for 5$ at five below. i don’t even think it has a brand name but there’s a lot of cute pairs in ther ^_^ like there’s like, moons, safety pins, stars, little fake pearls. it’s super cute <333

Which is the best protein powder for women's weight loss?
Regular gym-goers have surely noticed that muscular men drink a protein shake immediately after their workout. Many bodybuilders indeed use whey protein that is purchased from nutrition stores Gold Coast to help build muscle. But don't be fooled by this stereotype. Whey protein can also be a helpful weight loss aid for both men and women. Whey protein is a convenient alternative to whole foods that can be used to supplement your diet. It is made as a byproduct of the cheese-making process. Milk separates into solids and liquids; the leftover liquid is serum. It is then processed into a powder, and the resulting whey protein is considered a complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids.
Whey protein is well-known for its ability to aid in muscle growth and recovery following strenuous exercises, However, did you know that whey protein powder contains distinct advantages for women of all ages?
Your protein consumption, as well as the types of protein you consume, are determined by a number of factors. Specifically, your physical and mental goals, whether you need to lose weight or simply want more energy at work, the gym, or while travelling. Maybe you want everything!
Whey protein is one of the most effective supplements. that can help with all three: muscle maintenance, fat loss, and energy.
Whether you've tried whey before but weren't sure if it was helping, or you're addicted to whey in your protein shakes, here's some reliable science behind this powerful nutritional supplement and how you can help you reach your goals.
Whey protein, when taken as a supplement, can help. Improve muscle protein synthesis and promote lean tissue mass growth, which can also aid in being the protein powder for womens weight loss. There is also some evidence showing that drinking whey protein can help women retain muscle mass and lose fat while trying to lose weight.
But, before you stock up on protein shakes and start drinking them in addition to your regular diet, you should learn how they can be used in a weight loss programme. The suggestions below are times of day that we have found to be beneficial when losing weight. I would not use whey protein at all of these times.
Our suggestions on how and when to use whey protein for weight loss:
As a meal replacement: add to a smoothie.
As a snack replacement: mix with water only or water with a splash of milk.
Before going out to eat, mix it with water (to help with satiety and avoid excesses)
After a workout - mix with water
Meal substitute
Many people are in a rush for breakfast and then struggle all day when they miss this important meal. A great option is to make a breakfast shake that you can consume on the go. Create a mix using the liquid, protein powder, fats like avocado, and fruits and vegetables to make it as well as fruits and vegetables to make it nutrient-dense and filling. This is a quick and nutrient-dense way to recharge.
When creating your mix, keep your overall macronutrient goals (protein/fat/carbohydrate) in mind. Here are a few ideas, but if you have the basic concept, you can get creative!
Nutrient-dense Breakfast Shake: In a blender, combine 1 cup of milk, one tablespoon of vanilla-flavored whey protein, a handful of baby spinach leaves, a third of a cup of frozen raspberries, and a handful of ice
Quick Breakfast Shake: In a protein shaker, mix 1 cup of water, a dash of milk, one tablespoon of chocolate-flavored whey protein, ½ teaspoon of peanut butter, one tablespoon of instant oatmeal (or leave out if following a low carb plan).
Snack replacement
Whey protein, purchase from the best online and vitamin supplement store, is indeed any protein that can help you feel full longer duration than other types of food, making you less likely to snack. For many, the afternoon is challenging to avoid high-sugar processed snacks, which is when a protein shake can be very convenient.
Search protein
Protein bars are good, but their powdered supplements that are best womens protein powder are even better. A delicious mix to add to smoothies or yoghurt bowls, this editor can't get enough of this brand's peanut butter flavor because it's not artificially flavored at all. Also available in Chocolate Shake, Banana Cream, Cookies & Cream, Salted Caramel, Vanilla & Strawberries & Cream, you get 23 grams of flavor-packed protein, just 110 calories per serving.
All-in-One Nutritional Shake
Best natural protein powder Australia is up in calories (160 per serving), but one scoop provides 50% of your daily vitamin and mineral intake and 25% of your daily fibre. We will consider it a fair trade. Made without dairy or soy, it is vegan-friendly and easy for all tastes.
Whey serum
The most popular Whey powder comes in this French vanilla flavors, but users love its taste as much as the benefits of the supplement. Exclusively formulated with L-Glutamine, B Vitamins, and Full Spectrum Whey Peptides, you'll get more out of your workout, and muscles will heal more efficiently.

Reinventing the wheel
Today we will observe three products and try to predict their adoption and diffusion rate. We will base this analysis on a few factors – first, the market size and their market share. We also evaluate according to Rogers' Five Factors, their relative advantage or innovation, their compatibility with the existing user’s values and experiences (useful), the complexity of the product (understandable) and the observability of the product usage.
Tumblr media
Inventing sliced peanut butter, the market size is pretty big, in 2022 in the US alone the production of peanut butter accumulated to ~$2bn. The relative advantage is obvious, its more convenient, no need to use knives, and its packed and ready to go as a snack. Users experiences, in terms of compatibility and complexity, are not that much different but it is improved. The observability is medium, parents usually talk about this thing, and if kids think its cool they will ask their parents for it. For this product I believe we can see it catching on, but it will depend on price and taste. If it is too pricey, people will stick with the regular peanut butter spread. This product also needs to win on taste and be comparable to the gold standard everyone knows and love.
The collapsible wheel product is of course entering a big market (~$63bn in the US) but the market share is not quite as big. It is a niche sector for people who would benefit from folding their bicycles for storage of mobility purposes. It is innovative and there is a clear advantage, but I would think of other applications as well, such us a spear tire for motorcycles. As said before, the compatibility and complexity of the product are only compatible to specific users who will derive value from folding their bike, and would be willing to endure its complexity. Observability gets a high score for this product. Overall, the adoption and diffusion for the targeted market would probably be high, but the targeted market might be too small.
A premium puzzle can be admitted as a work of art, a novelty or a collectable item. These types of products are even harder to predict for adoption or diffusion. There is no relative market or relative advantage. I believe these types of products’ marketing goes through word-to-mouth. The observability is high, because I’m sure people will show-off their new premium puzzle to their friends and family. But, compatibility and complexity are hard to assess.

Packaging And Product Design-
Tumblr media
Product design describes the process of imagining, creating, and iterating products that solve users' problems or address specific needs in a given market. The key to successful product design is an understanding of the end-user customer, the person for whom the product is being created.
So what is product packaging? Product packaging design is the creation of the exterior of a product. That includes choices in material and form as well as graphics, colors and fonts that are used on wrapping, a box, a can, a bottle or any kind of container.
Like any good design, packaging tells a story. Engaging us through sight, touch and sound (and possibly smell and taste, depending on the product/package). All of these details help us understand what the product is for, how it should be used, who should use it and, maybe most importantly, if we should buy a product or not.
Before you start your packaging design-
3 crucial questions:
There are three questions you must have the answer to before you start designing the packaging for a product:
1.What is the product?
2.Who’s buying the product?
3.How are people buying the product?
Tumblr media
City Harvest’s Shopping Bags
1. What is the product?
What are you selling? How big is it? What materials is it made of? Is it delicate?
This question is going to help you think if there are any logistical needs for your product packaging. For example, a delicate product will require more secure packaging. Something that is large or with odd dimensions, on the other hand, may require a custom packaging solution instead of an out-of-the-box box.
2. Who’s buying the product?
Is the product supposed to be for men, women or both? Is it for children or adults? Is it designed more towards people who are environmentally conscious? To those on a budget or with lots of disposable income?
A product’s packaging should appeal to its ideal consumer; it’s important to know who that consumer is before you start the design process. Products for older adults may need larger text. Alternatively, items designed more towards an affluent customer will need to consider materials that create a feeling of luxury.
3. How are people buying the product?
Are they purchasing it in a supermarket? Online?
You’re going to want to think about packaging differently if the product is going to be sold online and shipped than if it’s going to need to stand out from the competition on a big-box store shelf. Items that will be sold online probably shouldn’t have a lot of extra space that could cause the product to rattle around, or the package to bend.
Information you need to collect:
Brand requirements-
Sometimes a product is stand alone, and in other cases it’s representing an established brand. If your packaging needs to represent a certain brand style, it’s important you’ve gathered the following information before you start:
Colors-
If you already have the CMYK values or Pantone Matching Values (PMS) colors include those as they’re specifically for printing.
Fonts-
Make sure you have the proper fonts and any specific usage instructions for example kerning between letters.
Logo-
If you need to put a logo on the package,
Tumblr media
Context that needs to be on package design-
What this is is going to be pretty unique to your certain product, but you’ll want to make sure you have it all sorted out before you start design. Note that depending on your industry, there may be some things you’re required to put on your packaging for legal reasons.
You may need:
Written copy-
This can include anything from the name of your product to a description to words to make the audience want to purchase it.
Imagery-
Want to put photos on your packaging? You’ll need to have those ready to go before you start the design process.
Required marks-
Depending on your product / industry, you may be required to include a barcode, nutrition information, etc.
Know what temporary content you need-
Some products—like foods or cosmetics—have additional information that needs to be put on different batches of products (expiration dates or batch numbers). You probably don’t want to print this directly onto your packaging as it will be changing regularly, but you’ll want to make sure you save space for a sticker or stamp to be placed at a later date with that information.

Style likes and dislikes-
It’s a good idea to have done some style research before you start the design process. Start collecting packaging that you like.
Remember, style inspiration isn’t always a one-to-one transaction. Maybe you love the color of a specific shirt, or the font on a sandwich shop sign. One thing to remember, though, is that you’re not necessarily curating design ideas for yourself, but for that ideal customer. You may love shabby, vintage chic, but if you’re selling baby motorcycle jackets to badass biker moms, that’s probably not the best style for your packaging.
Another thing to start thinking about when you’re starting your style journey is materials. You don’t have to make any decisions right now, but you’ll want to start noticing the different options.
Budget-
Packaging design budgets break down into two categories:
-One-time costs
-Per-item costs
One-time costs include things like paying for the original design work, purchasing a stamp (if you’re going the DIY route), print plate setup (for large, offset print runs.) You pay for these up front, and usually only once (unless you change your design).
Per-item costs are generally for materials and labor. Each box will cost a certain amount, as will the tissue paper you stuff it with and the tape you use to seal it. And you either have to pay someone to put your product into the box, or do it yourself.
You’ll want to have a ballpark idea of how much you’d like to spend before you start the design process. Keep in mind that cheaper isn’t always better; paying a little bit more for your materials could up your presentation (and your selling price) by making you stand out from the competition.
The packaging design process in 6 steps-
Once you’ve gathered all of this information, it’s finally time for the creative part: the design process.Remember how you want your packaging design to tell a story? The choices you make in the design process are what’s going to help you tell that story.
1. Understand packaging layers
There are three “layers” of product packaging: outer packaging, inner packaging and product packaging. Your product may need one or all three of these.
Outer packaging is the first thing a customer is going to see. It’s what protects your product from the elements. This could include the box that the product is shipped in or the shopping bag the item is placed in at the store.
Inner packaging is what keeps your product nestled safely in the outer packaging. This might be packing peanuts or tissue paper that stops something from getting jostled or scuffed. Or it might be a sealed bag that acts to preserve freshness.

Product packaging is what most people think of when they think of packaging: it’s the box the toy comes in, the bottle with a label, the tag on a garment, the wrapper of a candy bar.
Each one of these layers of packaging gives you a chance to tell a part of your story.
2. Choose the right type of packaging
There are many different types of packaging available for your product:
Choosing between a box and a bottle may sometimes be a no-brainer. But sometimes it’s not. Here are a couple of things you need to think about when selecting the right type of packaging for your product:
The product-
If you are selling something liquid, that’s going to limit your options. This shouldn’t limit your your creativity. For example Capri Sun: they turned the juice-box industry on its head by creating a juice-sachet.
Tumblr media
A custom-shaped bottle is going to be much more expensive than a standard bottle. By cabinet for Bryson Ishii.
The budget-
You may have an awesome idea on how you’re going to sell your astrology charms in a star-shaped box. But if your budget is £0.50 per piece, that’s probably not going to be possible. Remember to always keep the ideal customer in mind: if your charms are going to sell for £12 each, a simple, inexpensive box is probably your best bet. But if they’re hand-crafted, gold keepsakes that you are selling for £100, you may be better served to up your budget and go for that luxury star-shaped box.
3. Line up your printer
Printing is not something you’re going to do until after the design is complete. But you should think about it way before you get to that stage. Not only is connecting with a printer going to ensure you’re solid on the costs of printing, but they’ll be able to give you specific information that can help your designer prepare files.
A couple things you’ll want to ask about:
Dielines-
If you’re going with a standard-sized box or label, printers should be able to provide dieline templates that can be shared with a designer.
File-format requirements-
Your printer will need a vector file. Does it need to be a layered file? Should you include cut-lines or not? Your designer should supply a print-ready file (usually an Adobe Illustrator , Photoshop,(PDF or EPS). You may not be able to open these files if you don’t have the right software, but your printer will be able to. The designer will also supply visual mockups in a PNG or JPG format.Make sure you understand which file types are what so you can supply them to the right people.
Color options-
Some printers are going to be able to color-match to any Pantone color. Others (especially less-expensive options) are going to have a limited color palette for you to work with.
Digital vs. offset printing-
Which type does your printer use? If they do offset, what is the minimum order number? How do the costs scale?
4. Create your information architecture
Think back to those 3 questions, specifically who’s buying your product and where are they finding it. You’re going to use that to create the information architecture for your package.
You may have beautiful photos of your product in action, a brilliant testimonial from a customer, a tagline that explains how the product is so good, and a great graphic showing customers how to use your product ( can be seen at the back of the packaging). But when a shopper looks at your packaging they’re probably only going to remember one thing. What do you want that to be?
Pick the one absolute most important thing you want customers to know about your product. That should be the centerpiece of your design.
You can then add 2-3 things you want to show once they’ve picked up your product.
Tumblr media
As you can see the typeface is cleverly created and stands out from the other elements on the package design. Underneath this is the tagline which tells the audience what this product is. Use of words like ‘unique design’ captures the audience attention.
5. Evaluate a packaging design-
Now you’re got some good design ideas it’s time to give some feedback. Here are a some things you’re going to want to think about:
1.Is it clear what your product is?
When you look at the package, is it clear what the product does and who it’s for? Buyers are only going to spend money on things they understand.
Make sure your packaging doesn’t look like something else (unless it’s very intentional). You definitely don’t want to confuse your consumer.
2.Is the packaging an honest representation of your product?
One of the worst things you can do is misrepresent your product in your packaging. Make sure any photos on the packaging are actually photos of the product. Yes you can and should put your best face forward, but if you show a picture of muffins filled with raisins and there’s actually only 1 raisin in each of your muffins, a customer is going to feel cheated (and probably won’t buy from you again).
3.What will this package look like in 3D?
A good designer should provide a mockup of your design both print-ready (flat) and in 3-dimensions. You can also create your own mock-ups by printing something out on white paper and constructing it into a box or tube. This will help you notice things you wouldn’t otherwise. Sometimes an image will look great when flat, but terrible when constructed. Make sure you understand the difference.
4.What will this package look like in stores?
Shelf-impact is very important for products that are sold in-stores. You’ll want to think about :
How much of the packaging will be visible? When products are lined up next to each other, you can usually only see one-face. Make sure your most-important info is front and center.
What will it look like when these products are stacked next to and on top of each other? Is there a pattern that’s created? Do you want there to be?
What will this look like compared to the competition? Go to one or more stores where your product will be sold and figure out where your product would be placed. Are most products one color? How will you make yours stand out and get noticed?
5.Is this design versatile?
Is your design going to be easily modified to accommodate new variations of your product?
6-Is your packaging reusable?
This may not be important for every product, but you may want to think about if your packaging can be reused (and if you want it to be).For example, can your bag be repurposed into a grocery tote? Free marketing.
Tumblr media
6. Collect feedback
Before you 100% decide on your packaging design, make sure to run it by both key stakeholders and people who have never heard of or used your product.
Even if it’s just your neighbor across the street, people not closely associated with your product will notice things you never did. Think about asking them:
-What does this product do?
-Who is supposed to buy this product?
-What is the one key message you get when you look at this packaging?
Their answers to these questions will help you think if the packaging is communicating what you wanted it to. If it’s not, go back and figure out what you can change.
Packaging design glossary-
Here’s some common packaging design terms:
Adobe Illustrator (AI) file — Adobe Illustrator is a design program used to create vector images (which you will need for printing). Files created in this program have a .ai extension. You will need Adobe Illustrator to open these files.
Barcodes (UPC and EAN) — Barcodes are those groups of lines on any package. They have machine-readable data on them that stores information about the product, including price. There are several different types of barcodes, including UPC (Universal Product Code)—the predominant barcode in North America—and the EAN (International Article Number (it was originally “European,” hence the E)—a global barcode. You may wish to apply for these before you get your packaging designed.
Bleed — In printing, you use a bleed when your design goes to the edge of your paper (or box, or wrapper). In this case, designers will actually add a little extra design to the edges (the “bleed”) so that when the design is printed and cut to the right size there’s some room for error if the cuts are a few millimeters off.
Canister — A round or cylindrical container, typically made of metal, and used for storing things like food and chemicals.
CMYK — Stands for cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow and key (black). These are the four colors used in printing. Each color has a CYMK code that a printer will use to help color match between your design and the finished package.
Dielines —The flattened pattern of your product packaging. Designers and printers use them to create the proper layout for a package.
EPS — Stands for encapsulated postscript. This is a file extension for vector-based images. They can generally only be opened in specialized graphic design programs.
Digital printing — A modern printing method wherein information about the file is sent to a printer digitally and each piece of packaging is run individually through that printer. Digital printing is great for small-runs and short turn around times. Often times, the more traditional offset printing is more affordable for larger print runs.
Offset printing — A printing technique wherein plates of your design are created in four colors (CMYK). These plates are then run through a large, industrial printer. Offset printing has high setup costs (i.e. the plates need to be created), but in large volumes (usually over 1,000 or so pieces) it is more economical.
Pantone — Pantone is a company that created the Pantone Matching System (PMS). The PMS is a catalogue of standardized printing colors. Each color has an assigned number and can be reproduced nearly identically by any printer.
PDF — Stands for portable document format. It’s a versatile file format that be either a vector or raster (you want vector for packaging) and supports both images and text. PDFs can be opened on nearly any computer.
Raster file type — Raster images are made up of thousands of tiny dots (pixels). As such, they are difficult to resize.
RGB — Stands for red, green and blue, the three primary colors (that can be combined to create all other colors) in light, and therefore on digital screens. RGB or hex codes are used to identify colors in digital spaces; they can be converted into CMYK and Pantone color codes for printing.
Vector file type — Vector images are made up of lines. As such, they are easy to resize.

Homemade Dog Treats
Your pup will love these Homemade Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats! They are healthy and wholesome – the perfect reward for your favorite furry friend!
Tumblr media
This Easy Dog Treats Recipe is Pup Approved!
Our dogs, Polly (a pug mix) and Chewie (a Yorkie), love treats. And, I have to admit, I’m a total sucker for their begging. I think I might give in to my pups more than I do to my own kiddos! What Polly and Chewie want, Polly and Chewie get! My fellow dog owners, I know you feel me on this. I mean they don’t call it puppy dog eyes for nothing. These pups know how to get their way!
Since I love spoiling my pups, I also love making them homemade dog treats! Nothing but the best for my fur babies. I’ve tried out a few doggy treats so far and these have turned out the best and are 100% pup approved.
Are these Homemade Dog Treats Healthy?
Yes they are! If you didn’t know already, let me be the first to tell you – pumpkin is like a super food for dogs. Pumpkin aids in doggy digestion and promotes urinary health! It can even be used if your dog has been put on a diet and needs to lose a few pounds. The pumpkin fills them up and helps them feel fuller with less actual calories.
Additionally, the combo of whole wheat flour, quick oats, baking soda, and coconut oil is confirmed to be completely healthy for our fur friends. And don’t forget, peanut butter contains vitamins and healthy fats.

Recipe Ingredients
Here’s everything you need for these crunchy doggie treats:
pumpkin
peanut butter
coconut oil
whole wheat flour
quick oats
baking soda
Natural Peanut Butter is Best!
All of us dog owners know that dogs just loooooove that PB. But not all peanut butters are equal in quality, taste, or nutritional value. It is always best to use natural peanut butter in dog treats.
You also want to avoid any chemicals in the peanut butter, but especially  Xylitol, which can be harmful for our pups.

How to Make Dog Treats from Scratch
Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
Mix: In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment combine the pumpkin, peanut butter, coconut oil, flour, oats, and baking soda on medium-low speed, until a crumbly dough forms.
Knead: Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and knead it on a clean counter until the dough is combined and holds together
Roll out: Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it’s 1/4-inch thick. Using a small cookie cutter, cut the dough into shapes.
Bake: Place the shapes onto the prepared baking sheet 1- inch apart. The treats won’t spread much at all.
Bake for 17 – 20 minutes, depending on the size of the treat. You want them to be completely set and firm.
Cool and dry: Allow the treats to cool completely, and then let them sit out at room temperature overnight to dry out before storing in an airtight container.

Tips for the Best Dog Treats
Your dog will wag his or her tail like crazy for these yummy treats. Follow these tips to make sure your pup is pleased:
The dough will be crumbly but should hold together when kneaded. I have found that this texture of dough makes the crunchiest dog biscuits. If you’re having trouble rolling it out, knead in another tablespoon of pumpkin.
You’ll bake your dog treats for longer than you would a cookie of the same size. We like our cookies to be ooey-gooey, but we want our dog treats to be set and firm.
You can easily adjust the size of your treats based on the size of your dog. The bigger the dog, the bigger the treat.
How to Store Dog Treats
This recipe makes 60 perfect doggy biscuits so, unless you’re hosting all of the neighborhood dogs, you’ll be needing to store some of these treats.
You can store them in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze them. They will last in your freezer for up to 30 days.

Description:
Your pup will love these Homemade Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats! They are healthy and wholesome – the perfect reward for your favorite furry friend!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup pumpkin
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons coconut oil, measured in liquid state
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cups quick oats
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment combine the pumpkin, peanut butter, coconut oil, flour, oats, and baking soda on medium-low speed, until a crumbly dough forms. Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and knead on a clean counter until dough is combined and holds together*
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until 1/4-inch thick. Using a small cookie cutter, cut the dough into shapes.
Place the shapes onto the prepared baking sheet 1- inch apart. The treats won’t spread much at all.
Bake for 17 – 20 minutes, depending on the size of the treat. You want them to be completely set and firm.
Allow the treats to cool completely, and then let them sit out at room temperature overnight to dry out before storing in an airtight container.
Notes:
The dough will be crumbly but should hold together when kneaded. I have found that this texture of dough makes the crunchiest dog biscuits. If you’re having trouble rolling it out, knead in another tablespoon of pumpkin.
Store airtight for up to a week, or freeze for up to 30 days

BIRD Food FAQ
1. Why is it important to buy my BIRD different food according to her current life stage? Like humans, animals have different nutritional needs depending on their age. As an example, kittens need diets rich in protein and calories in order to support fast-paced growth and development. Older BIRDs may need low-calorie food or one with specific nutrients to minimize the risk of weight-gain and age-related issues. “All life stage” option is not advisable for certain animals and may have unintended adverse effects. Many dry BIRD foods are specifically made for the elder BIRDs, but…Your best bet is to consult with your veterinarian so he or she can help you make a more informed decision. 2. Should I use the feeding recommendations on the food label? While helpful as general guidelines, feeding recommendations on the bag labels may not be the right fit for your feline depending on her age, overall health status, and lifestyle, so consult with your vet. 3. Is my pet overweight? There are a few ways to tell: Run your hands along her flank—you should be able to easily feel but not see her ribs.Look down at your feline from above—there should be a clear narrowing at the waist.Look at your kitty from the side—you should see a narrowing from this angle, too. 4. Can my kitty have “people” food? Avoid the temptation to slip her scraps from your plate. Aside from the risk of accidentally giving her something toxic, giving your feline small treats can easily lead to weight gain and nutrient imbalances. 5. Can BIRD food go Bad? This depends on the food and the way it’s stored: All feline food should be used before the expiration date on the label. If your kitty is “free feed,” you can leave her dry granules out as long as it isn’t moist or exposed to high heat.Canned food should be thrown away after it’s been left out for 4+ hours, and opened cans can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.Wash and refill your pet’s food and water dishes at least weekly. 6. How much should I feed my BIRD? As mentioned, the amount you feed your pet depends on its age, health status, activity level, and a few other factors. Your vet can help you determine how much is right for your animal. A typical 10-lb kitty needs only around 250 calories per day to maintain an appropriate lean body mass. P S. These adult dry foods with real chicken meats (and other poultry) are great for your adult BIRD. You can serve her this popular chicken meal without the fear of gaining extra pounds. 7. How much water should I give her? Always have fresh water available for your animal! Proper hydration helps her digest her nutrients and avoid health problems like dehydration and urinary tract infections. Important to note that proper hydration is even more important when the BIRD is eating only dry BIRD food. 8. Why does my BIRD eat only from the middle of her bowl? If your BIRD’s dish is too deep and narrow, then she may struggle eating out of it because the sides of the dish can cause pain if her sensitive whiskers bump up against them. To compensate, she may try to eat out of the center only. 9. Should I change up my BIRD’s food from time to time, or keep it the same? This is highly individual and depends on the unique preferences and health needs of your furry friend. If you want to change your pet’s food, do it slowly and introduce new things to her diet in small amounts. 10. When should I transition my BIRD from kitten to adult BIRD food? Expect to change over your kitten’s food around age one. Transition slowly and be sure to monitor her response to ensure she’s adjusting well.

The history and mystery of America’s long-lost pickle sandwich
In this Depression-era stalwart, soft, chewy white bread (homemade or store-bought) is an ideal canvas for butter and pickles. (Jennifer May/)
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why bread-and-butter pickles are called bread-and-butter pickles? “I thought they were called that because they’re sweeter and less vinegary,” a friend tells me. “You know, smooth as butter.”
I had never questioned their name either, but rather quietly, to myself, word-associated bread-and-butter with “reliable”—just like the idiom. What reliable pickles! Always perfect for snacking, on a burger, or chopped up in an egg salad. But no, that’s not quite right either.
After decades in the dark, a lightbulb went off when I read this passage in Amy Thielen’s The New Midwestern Table (Clarkson Potter, 2013), this month’s pick for the Saveur Cookbook Club:
I realized the answer may be in the name itself: bread-and-butter pickles. Sliced pickled cucumbers layered between two slices of buttered bread was, allegedly, a Depression-era staple, due to the low cost and high availability of those ingredients. I say allegedly because there aren’t many contemporary sources that can confirm this, and those that do mention the sandwich (the blog Cottage at the Crossroads, Chef John Mitzewich of Food Wishes, and Marisa McClellan in an old Serious Eats post) report it through hearsay: “Supposedly…”; “I’ve been told…”
Why is it so difficult to find a hard, veritable source for this theory that bread-and-butter pickles were named after a sandwich? Seems simple enough, if not glaringly obvious.
The Joy of Cooking does include a recipe for bread-and-butter pickles, but no bread-and-butter pickle sandwich. Tomato lovers can, however, find a peanut butter and tomato sandwich in Irma S. Rombauer’s tome of American cooking, as well as a peanut butter and bacon sandwich, which leads to another sandwich rabbithole one could go down: the peanut butter and pickle sandwich.
There are plenty of accounts of the PB&P. The Times wrote about it in 2012, and even provided a recipe. Later, a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich also circulated the Internet. When I asked Jed Portman, editor of Midwesterner, he said, “I wish I had something of value to share. I’ve heard of peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, but I’ve never had one—much less the butter variant, which is intriguing.”
When a quick Google search for “bread-and-butter pickle sandwich” led me to a recipe on Smitten Kitchen, my ears perked up. But alas, the matching keywords were in a comment by a user, not by Deb Perelman herself. “I LOVE B&Bs!” the reader writes. “I make sandwiches of them on buttered white bread.”
Perhaps this is the point: The story of the bread-and-butter pickle sandwich lives not on the page, but, as many of the best foods do, in orature (oral literature). Word of mouth. Comments sections. Message boards. Facebook groups. The only way to find its elusive history, then, is to ask around.
It seems so obvious, yet when I asked my friends and even threw out a call to Twitter and Instagram (“Do you know this sandwich?”—like a wanted ad), I got multiple responses from experienced food editors and writers who said, “No, and I feel robbed.” Many others exclaimed, “Yes! But peanut butter, not butter”; “Yes! But mayo, not butter”; “Yes! But cream cheese, not butter.” Not butter, not butter, not butter.
And then ... one of my readers, Jessica Wharton, showed up in my inbox like a unicorn: Yes, bread, butter, and pickles.
Though Wharton was raised on these sandwiches, even she doesn’t know where they come from. “It’s a recipe from my great-grandmother and her family,” she tells me in an email. “I grew up in a rural farm town in Connecticut, but Connecticut honestly doesn’t seem correct to me as an origin, especially since besides my family I don’t know anyone who eats these either. It’s a thing we’ve always had every July or August when the cucumbers in the garden are ready and there are tons, and you’re not really sure what to do with all of them.”
I imagine my search for the story behind bread-and-butter pickle sandwiches will continue after the publication of this piece, and in its comments section.
For now, eager to try one myself, I made a batch of Thielen’s refrigerator bread-and-butter pickles with curry powder. I cut up some mini cucumbers (often called pickling cucumbers) and salted them to draw out moisture and to preserve their crunch. To make the pickling brine, I combined white vinegar, sugar, ginger, garlic, chile, mustard seeds, and curry powder, and brought them to a boil in a saucepan. The spicy steam filled the kitchen, like aromatherapy. After rinsing the cucumbers and draining them thoroughly, I sliced up a red onion and added it to the bowl, followed by the hot, golden brine. I let my pickles cool slightly, then packed them in old kimchi jars that were lying around and put them in the fridge.
I could only wait a few hours before making myself The Sandwich. I popped a couple slices of brioche into the toaster for a few seconds, only to soften them up. Next, I spread unsalted, room-temperature butter on one side, then laid a single layer of pickles—“overlapping slices” as Thielen suggests—on the other slice, and joined them together. I took a bite...and promptly texted three of my closest friends.
“You have to try this.”
It’s such a rare pleasure, as an adult, to experience a new taste, especially one that changes your mind about food. Who knew that pickles, for instance, could taste so much fresher, crunchier, more nuanced—leagues above the neon-green store-bought ones? Even more so when you’ve added a hint of curry powder for savory warmth? Who knew that soft buttered bread, which is already sweet and comforting on its own, could partner so seamlessly with its exact opposite: sharp, crunchy pickles? Who knew that this was the food pairing I’ve been waiting for all along?
The two together—butter and pickles—remind me of a cucumber and mayo sandwich, sure, like the kind you’d eat at English tea. In fact, Wharton wrote me back days later, after confirming with her dad, that their family tradition did indeed come from a very old recipe for English tea sandwiches. It is an entirely different experience, though, when you pickle the cucumbers yourself and swap out the mayo for butter. Its taste is surprisingly multi-dimensional, yet balanced. Whether you’re having it for afternoon tea or for a grab-and-go farmhouse lunch, the bread-and-butter pickle sandwich is, truly, the food of royals.
Update: One of the first recorded uses of the phrase “bread-and-butter pickles” can be traced back to 1923, when Omar and Cora Fanning of Illinois registered for a trademark (since expired) on the logo for their family pickles. According to a 1996 issue of the Feingold News, “Mrs. Fanning worked out an agreement with a local grocer, who gave her groceries—including bread ‘n butter—in exchange for the pickles.” Other related trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office include “Betty Rae’s Bread & Butter Pickles” and “The Original Bread 'n Butter Pickles,” but no one owns just “bread and butter pickles.” Thank you to reader Nicolas Emerson for the tip.

Homemade Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats
Your pup will love these Homemade Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats! They are healthy and wholesome – the perfect reward for your favorite furry friend!
This recipe makes 60 perfect (1.5- inch) doggy biscuits so, unless you’re hosting all of the neighborhood dogs, you’ll be needing to store some of these treats.
You can store them in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze them. They will last in your freezer for up to 30 days.
Make sure they are completely cooled before storing!
What Size Cutters Do You Use?
I like to use a 1.5- inch round cutter when making the treats. Mine comes from THIS set. But they make cute little dog bone shaped cutters that work great too!
You can really make these as large or as small as you would like depending on the size of your dog.
Will Bake Time Vary?
Certainly if you use a large cutter the bake time will be longer. The recipe is written using a 1.5- inch round cutter. You want the dog treats to be crunchy, so make sure to give them enough time in the oven!

Notes:
I used a 1.5- inch round cutter to produce 60 dog treats.
The dough will be crumbly but should hold together when kneaded. I have found that this texture of dough makes the crunchiest dog biscuits. If you’re having trouble rolling it out, knead in another tablespoon of pumpkin.
Store airtight for up to a week, or freeze for up to 30 days

Greg’s Gone Vegan? A Review of Veestro’s Subscription Meal Plan
Most nights (and more often days) I dread cooking for myself. I’ve heard that meal plans can reduce the urge to spend money going out to restaurants, so when I found the opportunity to check out Veestro, a Vegan meal subscription plan, I was eager to see how it would fare for a person who’s never been a Vegan.
A Subscription food delivery service that produces organic, non-GMO meals, Veestro gives users the ability to order “packages” of 10, 20 or 30 meals that arrive at your door in just a matter of days. Whether you are someone who enjoys breakfast or practicing intermittent fasting, there’s a little bit of something for you courtesy of Veestro. With a variety of breakfast, lunch, dinners, and desserts, there’s a multitude of options such as breakfast wraps, Pad Thai for lunch, and even a Baked Mac & Cheez dish for dinner. And don’t worry, if you are gluten-free, there are plenty of options available to you as well.
What Veestro prides itself on aside from the delicious foods they provide are the prices. Compared to the $10-12 bucks you spend going to the Salad bar around the corner from your office building, Veestro wants to save you the time and expense costing you roughly $8-10 per meal which is pretty remarkable.
Using completely organic ingredients, each dish is hand-crafted by a chef and packaged, causing you to only have to reheat it on your stovetop, oven or microwave. Now I have to be completely blunt here. The sodium for me was a huge deal for a lot of the meals, some being up to 35% of the daily value in salt. In hindsight, these are prepackaged meals so you’d expect salt to keep the meals preserved to an extent, but still, that is a large amount of salt for someone like myself who already is trying to get rid of water retention in my chubby cheeks.
Aside from this, however, the buildup is simple. You register for your account online, pick the meals (that are well described by both Veestro and the reviews that are left by current/previous customers) that you choose. To start off I went with the “Veestro’s Favorites” options. These were some of the most ordered products by customers, highly rated and assumingly had the most favorable. This is what I received in the box:
1x Red Curry with Tofu
1x Country Fried Chick’n
1x Enchilada Casserole
1x Thai Chick’n Stew
1x Soba Noodles in Peanut Sauce
1x Chick’n Quesadilla
1x Pasta Bolognese
1x Pad Thai
1x Breakfast Burrito
1x Baked Mac & Cheez Dinner
Now I just want to get this out of the way before I start: I’ve never had anyone’s Mac and Cheese (with an ‘S’, not a ‘Z’) better than my grandmothers. And I’ll put this in the most honest way I can possibly put it: I did NOT enjoy the Baked Mac and Cheez. With 33 years of life under my belt, eating like a carnivore, as well as indulging in all of the pasta glorious-ness, I started here. And man was I disappointed. Without harping on it too much, the consistency of the Baked Mac & Cheez gave me vibes of baby food (and taste too). I almost gave up here, but I told myself “Greg, you’re going to convince your body to do a thing its never done. And damn it, we’re sticking to it.
So Day 2, I set myself in motion knowing that sometimes two is better than one, so I opted for the Red Curry with Tofu. It seemed simple, and me being a POC, I figured “hell, if it didn’t have any flavor, I’ll add some seasoning to it, spruce it up and make it mine. And let. Me. Tell. You.
There’s no way in the world you could tell me I wasn’t a vegan that day, haha. Boy, the Tofu is something special. I had never had it before from recent memory, but it had a consistency I liked. The curry tasted delicious and made me want more. I got home that evening and had the second one. And it was JUST as good.
And..so on, and so on and so on.
But then after about week two, I got tired of the meals I ordered. So I attempted to switch things up using the easy online portal. They make everything pretty self-explanatory for you as I said before, with the ability to skip weeks if you want, (vital for me around CES week), and you can alternate and switch. So you know the first thing that was off my list when I changed things up right? That Mac And Cheez. Nonetheless, when the new week rolled around, the eco-friendly package came as it always did, complete in a large-sized box with dry ice to keep foods frozen for hours in case you get off work late and cannot immediately get to them. Now I’m not sure if it’s just my deliveries of if this is a Veestro thing, but they ALWAYS delivered by food between 4-6 pm which is on par with my wife and I’s home life, so someone can come and grab it.
Here’s a slight knock that’s more so my fault than Veestro’s. Since these meals are frozen, I hope you have the storage for them. I’ve never used Hello Fresh, although I did try (and hated) Blue Apron six years ago, but Veestro meals all require a heap of freezer space. For me, this meant some things needed to be cooked, and some things needed to be tossed. So if you’re like me who might skip a meal here or there, just know, that next week is rolling around and it’s on you to eat that food or ask a co-worker if they wanted to share a lunch with you that day so you can free up space in your freezer.
Now the big question is this: Greg, have you gone completely Vegan?
Absolutely not. At the time I’m writing this I’m craving pasta, and I will say we went out to celebrate my birthday, and ALL I craved was a Filet Mignon. No disrespect to the vegans out there, I LOVE, absolutely LOVE a lot of the meals, and I feel like I will certainly keep using Veestro as a means of trimming the literal fat off my body. I’m not a meal prep person, and Veestro is the best that I’ve seen at making hearty, healthy vegan meals that don’t have some complicated setup with exact measurements that eventually piss you off because they only included “two spoonfuls of glaze” for that delicious dish. Each meal literally has savory glazes, seasonings, sauces, that had me licking the spoon after (especially that dang Red Curry…. MAN).
If you have considered going vegan but don’t know where to start, or if you have thought about weight loss options of going vegan (I know I have) and you aren’t super imaginative in the kitchen, Veestro is probably the best affordable meal plan option I’ve seen. I’m hoping to set up a process for myself where I cook my own (healthy) dinners, and exclusively use Veestro over the coming months in my weight loss journey since I’ve severely broken my resolution on January 1st. But let’s be honest… Resolutions start in February.
You can do a la carte style, meal packs, or even juice cleanses as the celebs do (I’m going to try that one the week AFTER my birthday I promise… I’ll keep you up to date on that). With the auto shipment option, you’ll get a discount on the grand total depending on the package you choose.
You can find out more information about Veestro by heading over to their site.
