Warning: Spoilers below for those who play Ikemen Vampire, esp. Napoleon’s route. Isaac looks good with the background colours. This guy actually reminds me of Ieyasu. He’s a bit aloof towards the MC yet he’s gentle with her. So this scene, Isaac was going somewhere and he took MC with him. They went to a not so popular street in France where Napoleon was teaching kids how to use a sword. When MC voiced out her concern on how the kids were using a real sword, Isaac replied that it wasn’t a real one. He then proceeded to explain that in 19th century France, education is not compulsory so Napoleon teaches the kids how to survive. Even Isaac was roped into teaching them. He teaches them Physics, his specialty (of course). They were then interrupted when Napoleon finally noticed them. The kids immediately gathered around Isaac, who looked a bit lost on what to do with them, which made the MC (and me lol) smile. Napoleon then asked MC what she was doing there and MC told him that Isaac invited her along to see Napoleon. Napoleon could only say, “That guy” before one kid approached them and asked if MC was Napoleon’s girlfriend. It was a pretty cliche scene, but I am a big fan of cliche so no harm done. Lol. MC was surprised, as expected. She began to stutter a response but Napoleon beat her to it by saying, “This girl is my lover.” AHHHHHHH FUCKR. Y U NO WARN ME. Σ(///□///) P.S. I was so eager to find out the next scene I didn’t realise I ran out of tickets and used up ¾ of my diamonds. Fuuuuuuuー diamonds equal to coins (or so I think) in the game. You can buy premium attire and gacha special events stuff with diamonds. The nice thing tho is that they give you diamonds randomly in the daily login bonus. I just received 100 diamonds today (w/c I unknowingly used up immediately tsk). Sorry if this isn’t Midnight Cinderella. I just like this game so much I need somewhere to rant. My main blog is concentrated on Haikyuu!! and its stage play as of the moment so all otome-related stuff goes here. (*´▽`*) I can’t place this under cut as well since I’m always on mobile. _(:3 」∠)_

Hi! I wanted to ask if you could do ikevamp characters story on Latina F!Mc dancing that dance 💃 you know with that toght red dresses loose on the end and dancing flamenco? And maybe Sebas joins? Dosent need to be a big story just like they are on a little dinner and Mc decides to spice things up? Now i pray to gods that you didnt close yet. Byeee
Your prayers are answered, anon. This should be fun~👀
IkeVamp: Flamenco Dancer!Reader
How do they react to a latina Flamenco dancer reader?
Suitors: Napoleon, Arthur, Theo, Isaac, Dazai
Tumblr media
It had all started one evening as two particular humans planned to entertain the residents of the mansion. They themselves had no idea what they planned to do until Y/N practically floated into the room in a flowing red dress. She was even more breathtaking than any rose, more so than the ones dotting her hair, the same enticing ruby glossing her soft lips. Every eye was on her, all in awe of her beauty, not daring to say a word, Arthur doesn't even dare to whistle. By her side, their butler was seated with a guitar(that nobody knew he could play but Sebas was full of surprises) as the beauty in red took her first position. Then, as the strumming began, so did she.
Napoleon
Wow...he didn't expect that from her at all.
Not only was she heart-stoppingly gorgeous, she was quite the dancer as well.
Though...how many times has she spun now? Wasn't she dizzy? He was just a bit concerned that she would lose her balance...
Only to be impressed when she never did. The way she stayed precise, her powerful, expressive movements conveying whatever tale she wove using her body being the sole focus of his viridian eyes.
He could feel his heart being stolen as he watches how the dress wraps her seductive figure in tempting red, flaring around her at her calves, like she was a blooming flower.
The unexpected opening in the back of her dress, displaying her shoulder blades and the curve of her spine did catch him off guard a bit, that was very daring, nunuche...
He will very much compliment said dancing flower and her instrumental partner once this very fun performance was over.
Arthur
Well, well little dove~
He didn't imagine she could be anymore beguiling than usual, but she has surpassed his expectations by far.
The way the sexy red accentuated her body, yet made her look deceptively modest in front, only to be met with a cheeky surprise when she spun...
She was quite the sight for sore eyes.
His sapphire orbs follow her as she twirls and slides across the floor, the clicking of her shoes creating a beat as her body moved expertly, yet seemingly spontaneously to the tune Sebastian played.
She was very talented indeed. She's been holding out, naughty girl!
He will applaud her without hesitation, teasing her for an encore, of course.
Theo
So Hondje can dance, huh?
When he could focus on something other than her frustrating beauty, he at first, kind of just brushed her dancing off as...just stomping her feet.
But when he actually took the time to pay attention, he realized there was much more to it than that.
She was actually really entertaining to watch in that eye-catching red dress, hugging her curves, flowers sprinkled into her silky hair...she is impossible to ignore, even if he doesn't admit that aloud.
She was alluring, charming, tantalizing in every way.
The rhythm was catchy and Sebastian was pretty impressive on that guitar, it was hard to not get sucked into the performance.
He may act like he isn't all that impressed, but he would certainly not object to seeing her do that again.
Isaac
G...goodness...she's incredible...
He'd never seen anything quite like it. She was so fast, yet do coordinated, so sure of her movements.
He could almost be envious of her graceful, yet powerful movements, her silky hair flowing behind her as she twirls and clicks her heels to the rhythm Sebastian plays.
W...wait a moment...why is her entire back exposed?!
She was so beautiful, mesmerizing to watch, yet he still felt shy watching her...but he can't look away!
He did wonder how she didn't fall or get dizzy after so many sudden spins and sharp turns, but the way she stayed so focused, yet so natural, she seemed immaculately effortless. A true master of her craft.
He would very timidly applaud her, having very thoroughly enjoyed the show indeed.
Dazai
How talented Y/N-chan is~
He isn't exactly well versed in flamenco or even in Latino culture, but he was very much entertained.
She was such a marvel. Just look at how she moved. So fast, so nimble, so light on her feet as she spun round and round. She reminded him of a fluttering red fairy.
With clicking shoes, haha.
And what a beauty she was in that dress. It was so extravagant, yet not too over the top, as the skirt swished to and fro at her whims, and the dip revealing her slender back, teasing at the base of her tailbone, her dimples of venus exposed for viewing...my my, how very bold, Y/N-chan...
He wondered what she'd do if he just ran his finger up her bare skin...
He very much enjoys the performance and will just as much playfully tease her from about dancing just for him some time.

Sharing [Ikemen Vampire][Leonardo Da Vinci x GN Reader x Comte de Saint-Germain][SMUT]
A/N: Requested by the lil’ bb angel @kleeps, hope you enjoy this ;). Good choice of Ikevamp men. I’m sorry if they’re slightly OOC; all I know about these two is Leonardo is MYSTERIOUS AND HOT, and Comte is a RICH ZADDY.
Description: Leonardo and Comte both have their sights set on you. It starts with little competitions, Leonardo gives you a gift, Comte then gives you two, and so on. However, it all comes to a head one night when you make Comte dinner to repay him for his generosity, and Leo invites himself on your date.
Word Count: 3.4k
Tags: SMUT (Minors, DNI), Threesome, Jealousy, BJ, just... explicit overall
Tumblr media
“Leo, I’m just trying to repay him for his hospitality! I’ll cook dinner for you next week. Stop pouting!” Arms crossed over your chest, you rolled your eyes at the man in front of you and prayed he would be understanding. Although Leonardo Da Vinci wasn’t exactly one you would peg as the jealous type, especially compared to some of Comte’s other residents, he seemed to be precisely that right now. The beautiful, wolfish man’s pale pink lips were turned slightly downward, and his eyes gazed at you in a reprimanding manner.
‘Cara Mia, you don’t understand. I have the utmost respect for Comte, but this is not just dinner!” Leonardo responded, mirroring the exasperated look on your face with one of his own. “Men do not just think about having innocent dinners with women. You should know this – how many innocent dinners have I invited you on?”
“Well, even if he does want something more, so what? It’s not like I’m in a relationship or anything. I’m only here for a month anyway,” you snapped, immediately regretting it once you saw the expression on Leo’s face.
A look of pure dejection flashed across Leonardo’s beautiful features for a split second, pulling on your heartstrings and causing you to regret everything that spilled out from your lips half a second ago.
“W—wait, Leo, I mean….” You stammered out, wishing that you could turn back time and continue reassuring the man.
“No, you’re right, cara mia. You are not in a relationship….” Leo begins, letting out a sigh that seemed to reflect the pain he felt throughout his entire soul. “But, I will not give up. I hope you have a great dinner with Comte.” Though his words were kind enough, the tone in which he said them seemed eerily suspicious. However, you didn’t have time to ponder his true meaning as the pasta was beginning to boil over. If there was one thing you knew Comte de Saint-Germain liked, it was perfection.
***
“Ah, my dear, you cooked all of this for me?” Comte de Saint-Germain asked, amber eyes twinkling with excitement as he scanned the dining table laden with handmade dishes and desserts. It was one thing for him to receive an invitation to dine with you, the lady that had stolen his heart in a matter of a couple weeks. Still, it was another thing seeing just how much effort you’d poured into this.
“Of course! I honestly can’t repay you enough for everything you’ve done for me this past month,” you replied, feeling that familiar fluttery sensation in your stomach at Comte’s child-like joy. “Well, why are we just standing around? I had to beg all of the other residents to have an early dinner so we could have some time to ourselves!”
The amount of effort that you put into arranging this special dinner for Comte de Saint-Germain was truly an Everest of a feat. It was easy convincing Napoleon, Vincent, Isaac, and Jean. However, the remaining residents proved to be more of a challenge. First, you had to bribe Theo with the promise of a quadruple-stack of fluffy buttermilk pancakes doused in maple syrup, to which the brunette immediately agreed despite not having heard your request yet. Then, you were led on a wild goose chase with Arthur to help inspire him to complete his latest installment of the Holmes series, which ended in him waving over a carriage for you in town at 9PM after having spotted a pretty skirt walking by. After that, you whipped up an entire batch of delicious, dark-roast coffee for Mozart and Dazai. The only resident that you weren’t able to convince was Leonardo. Still, you were hoping that your earlier conversation would tide him over until after your dinner with Comte, at least.
“Oh, my word, this Pavlova is absolutely delicious!” Comte exclaims, the delicious sugary treat melting in his mouth in a whirl of delectable flavours. “How is it possible that you are such a talented chef?”
You felt your face heat up at the handsome blonde man’s words. It was clear that whatever life Comte had lived before this, he had been a charmer. That was one of the things that drew you to him so closely. No matter how stressful your day was, Comte was always there for you with a gentle smile, reassuring words, and a comforting hug. With that being said, it had definitely been a stressful couple of weeks for you, having to get used to living in a house of vampires – even coming to terms with the existence of vampires was an ugly truth you hadn’t stomached very well. No matter how apprehensive you were about the situation, Comte had always treated you as an equal and respected your every decision. In fact, he had been so kind that in the past couple of weeks, you felt yourself looking forward to the brief moments of the day when you would see him.
“No, no, I had a lot of help from Seb. I don’t deserve all of the credit,” you responded, shyly focusing on the Beef Bourguignon in front of you, so you didn’t have to meet Comte’s gaze. Your hand gently dropped the fork you had previously grasped, lying awkwardly on the table. Typically, the long, wooden dining table was occupied by the rowdy residents in Comte’s mansion. The two of you usually sat on opposite ends of the table, only sharing a secret smile once every couple of moments, but Comte had insisted on sitting right in front of you tonight.
The sensation of Comte’s smooth, large hand resting on top of yours caused you to gasp quietly. Your head whipped up, and you met Comte’s warm gaze. The heat shared in both of your gazes was piercing, and you secretly patted yourself on the back for getting rid of all the other residents so that you could have a private moment with the nobleman.
“You are truly so special to me,” Comte murmured, watching as you broke into a radiant smile. The nobleman began to caress the back of your hand with his thumb, rubbing small circles into your skin.
Right as you were about to respond, the door to the dining room burst open, revealing the only resident in the house that hadn’t agreed to leave you and Comte alone.
“Cara Mia! Scusa, signore, I seem to be late to dinner,” Leonardo stated, eyebrow cocked as he looked at the spread of food before him. His rich golden eyes landed on your hand, enveloped in Comte’s bigger one, and you immediately retract your hand and place it awkwardly in your lap. “Well, it is dinner time, no? Where are all of the other residents?”
“Leo… I told you I was going to have dinner with Comte tonight… everyone already ate,” you said slowly, in complete shock at the scene unfolding before your very eyes.
“If you’ve already been informed of the change, Leo, perhaps you should heed our dearest’s words and return later,” Comte said, his usual smile plastered on his lips but a much more sinister gaze in his eye.
The two men stared each other down from across the room, and just when you thought you were in the clear, Leonardo pulled out the chair beside you and sat down.
“Cara mia, I have been starving all day. You wouldn’t let me starve, would you? Especially not when you’ve done such a fantastic job cooking all of these amazing dishes,” Leo says, knowing exactly how to pull on your heartstrings. The Italian man shoots you a pitiful look, brows furrowing together and lower-lip protruding into the most adorable pout.
“You’re right. Seb and I made all this for us to eat anyways. Unfortunately, I doubt that Comte and I would’ve been able to finish it, so please feel free to dig in, Leo,” you finally say, still feeling guilty about the way the handsome man’s face had fallen earlier at your thoughtless words. “You’re fine with it, right, Comte?”
“Yes, I am sure Leo can grab whatever he wants and give us some time to converse, just the two of us, as soon as possible,” Comte says, his smile not quite reaching his eyes as he continued staring at the other man.
Despite Comte’s thinly veiled threat to get Leonardo to leave as soon as possible, the other man seemed to be intent on staying. So the rest of the dinner went by in a near-catastrophic scene that you didn’t even know how you’d begin explaining to the rest of the residents. Though typically very cordial with one another, the two gentlemen seemed to take it upon themselves to one-up the other at every opportunity.
“Why don’t we go into town again, cara mia? There are a couple new places I’d like to show you – I am sure you will absolutely love them.”
“Leo, unfortunately, we will be busy that day as I will be taking them on a horse ride along the perimeter of the property. That’s something you said you always wanted to do with me, right, my angel?”
“I didn’t even say what day I wanted to take cara mia, Comte.”
“No matter, their time will be preoccupied for the rest of the month. I have a very detailed schedule of activities I’d like for us to do.”
“Signore, you cannot hog all of cara mia’s time.”
“Who would you rather spend the rest of your time here with, my angel? Me, or Leonardo?”
In your stupor, you had stammered out a string of words attempting to appease both men.
“I… I like spending time with both of you! Stop this, Leo, you know you’re incredibly special to me, and Comte, you know I hold you dear in my heart as well! Both of you have made my stay here amazing. If you’re asking me to choose right now, well, then, I just can’t choose!” You exclaim, eyes glossing over at how overwhelming the whole situation was. A tear threatened to spill across the side of your cheek and you clenched your fists, willing your heart to stop racing. This was not how the evening was supposed to go at all. Not only had you angered Comte and ruined the dinner you prepared, but you were sure you’d have to apologize to Leonardo now too.
The two men immediately quieted down, seeing the tear spill down your cheek. Leonardo was the first to act, given that he had opportunistically seated himself down right next to you. He reached his arms out and enveloped you in a soothing hug. His golden eyes stared into your own, concern flashing across his beautiful, roguish features. The sensation of his large, calloused hand provided you an infinite amount of comfort as he gently rubbed your back. “I am so sorry, cara mia. Please forgive us both. We have been stupid to make this about our silly rivalry when you are the one thing that matters to both of us, right, signore?”
Comte quickly approached the two of you, pulling up a chair on the other side of you. His smooth, large hands, so different from Leonardo’s, gently stroked your cheek and wiped away the tears that had spilled from your eyes. “He’s right, my angel. We are so terribly sorry for being such ignorant and brutish men. Will you ever forgive us?”
You nodded, not trusting yourself to speak in that moment. After a couple moments of silence between the three of you, as well as Leonardo and Comte’s continued comforting actions, you felt yourself come down from your emotions. “I forgive the both of you… But I was being serious. I do care about both of you a lot, and if you’re honestly asking me to choose who I want to spend the rest of my time here with, then I simply cannot choose.”
A moment of silence passed, and then another, and another, until you felt your heart begin to race again. The two men exchanged a knowing look, and then a second later, Comte spoke, proposing something that you never thought you’d hear in a thousand lifetimes.
“You know, my angel, perhaps it is time Leonardo and I learned how to share…” Comte began, leaning in closer to your face. The nobleman’s stunning amber eyes darkened with a hunger that you’d never seen before. “Leonardo, would you agree that we need to make our dearest angel feel better to make it up to them?”
“Signore, I think you’re right. But, Cara mia, forget about your worries. Leave everything to Comte and me.”
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you looked back and forth from the Comte to Leonardo. “I—I—I don’t know what you mean,” you stammered out, watching in awe as the smirk on Leonardo’s face grew even larger. However, despite your feigned ignorance, even you couldn’t ignore the yearning in Leonardo’s eyes, nor the tent in his slacks.
Suddenly, Leonardo captured you in a lustful kiss, drawing out a soft moan from you as your felt his lips press against yours. The kiss was hungry, devouring, all-consuming, lips pressing against yours so hard that you were sure bruises would be left. His large hand slid down your upper back to grasp you around the small of your waist. He pulled you in closer to him, seeming as though he wanted to erase any of the distance between the two of you. The gentle prod of his tongue against your lips could be felt, and you eagerly opened up, allowing his tongue to swirl against yours in pure need. As the kiss continued getting deeper, you began to feel a familiar heat pool in your lower belly.
Right as you were going to stop the kiss to look to Comte for his reaction, you felt Comte’s hand slowly creep around your back and press against your waist. A pair of lips began needily pressing hot kisses onto your neck, the pleasure becoming nearly overwhelming with the two men’s actions. Comte’s hand began to sensually rub higher and higher until he reached your chest, eliciting a loud gasp from you as his fingers toyed with your sensitive nipples. At the sound of your gasp, you felt both Comte and Leonardo’s lips curve into a sensuous smirk.
Moments later, Leonardo pulled away from the heated kiss and made quick work of removing your shirt and pants. The cold air of the dining room brought a chill that ran straight down your back and gooseflesh rising on your skin.
“Sorry, cara mia, we’ll warm you up again in a second,” Leonardo murmurs, pressing a quick kiss against your forehead. You watch in awe as both men remove their clothes, revealing their chiseled torsos. Leonardo’s body was every bit as manly and suave as his personality. You wondered how it was possible the man’s body looked as though it was carved by the most skilled of sculptors, every muscle on his ab clearly defined. Yet, Comte’s nude form did not lose out to the talented Italian inventor. The nobleman, though slighter in build than Leonardo, was all lean muscles and unmarred skin. In fact, Comte’s skin was so flawless it looked as though it were carved out of porcelain.
“Oh… wow…” You murmured under your breath, drawing out a low chuckle from Comte. “You two are so beautiful.”
“Have you seen yourself, my angel?” Comte responded, switching places with Leo so that he was now the one that captured your lips in a needy kiss. The pace of the kiss was much sweeter and gentler, similar to Comte himself. The man gently pressed kisses against your lips, again and again, until a smile formed on your lips. Then, he threaded his fingers into your hair and pulled back, exposing your neck to him once again.
“You can… you can bite me, I don’t mind,” you say breathlessly as Leonardo begins to work his magic on your lower half.
“Are you sure? I need to know that you want this, my angel.”
“Yes, I want you both to do whatever you want to me.”
At your words, Leonardo lifted your lower half off the chair and slid off your pants. He pressed hot, open-mouthed kisses on your inner thighs, smirking at the lewd sounds coming from your mouth.
“A—ah, Leo!” You moaned, gripping the arms of the chair tightly at the sheer pleasure. Then, Leonardo began to lavish you with his tongue, making sure to hit all of the spots that had you gasping for breath and begging for more.
Not to be outdone by his counterpart, Comte smirked against your neck and gently sank his fangs into your throat. Immediately, you were thrown into white, hot pleasure as your release overcame you. The feeling of suckling coming from Comte and the sensual licks from Leo’s tongue had you reeling from the pleasure. The ministrations of Leonardo’s tongue didn’t stop as you continued riding out your climax. Your body began trembling with the overstimulation, nonsensical babbles coming out of your mouth as you futilely tried to get Leonardo to stop.
“L—Leo, C—Comte, please, it’s t—too much,” you stammered, breathing in a sigh of relief as both men drew back to allow you to come down from your high. Finally, you opened your eyes, finding both men staring at you with unbridled lust and passion evident in their gaze.
“That was amazing, but I think I owe both of you some pleasure now, too,” you said, reaching to free Comte’s manhood from the confines of his briefs. If there was one word to describe Comte’s body now that you had seen it in full glory, it would be beautiful. His length was no exception. Yet, in the midst of the moment, you wondered if there was any part of Comte that wasn’t inhumanly beautiful. Making sure that Leonardo was part of it as well, you turned to the other man. You pulled down his briefs, watching as his impressively girthy manhood sprung out from beneath the fabric. “Leo… I want you in me.”
With a deep breath, you began to place soft licks all along Comte’s manhood, watching in awe as the man came undone before you.
“My angel, that feels absolutely divine,” Comte groaned, his fingers weaved in through your hair.
You opened your mouth as wide as you could and slid it down Comte’s length, stopping only once it hit the back of your throat. Suddenly, you felt a blooming sensation coming from your entrance as Leo began to slowly press his manhood into you. A moan threatened to escape from your lips but was stopped by the impressive size of Comte. The vibrations from your throat caused Comte to stutter his hips into you, eager to chase more of the heavenly pleasures your mouth was bringing him.
“Ah, cara mia, it is almost impossible that you are this tight,” Leonardo groaned, gently rocking his hips into you in an attempt to further stretch out your entrance. With a gasp, pleasure overtook your body once again as Leonardo became fully hilted inside you, his impressive girth causing your walls to stretch deliciously around him. It was only a couple of seconds of reprieve for you until the man behind you began to rhythmically thrust, pressing your mouth deeper against Comte’s length.
“A—ah, angel, I’m going to cum,” Comte gasped out, shooting hot, thick liquid into the back of your throat. While Comte was pulling his spent manhood out of your mouth, Leonardo leaned down and attached his fangs into the other side of your neck. The white, hot sensation once again filled your core, and you quickly reached your release, passage clenching around Leo’s manhood as you rode out the overwhelming pleasure.
“Oh my god, Leo!” You cried out, throwing your head back as the vampire continued to thrust into you. Leonardo reached his climax with a groan, and his manhood throbbed in you, painting your walls with hot, liquid ropes.
The sound of panting and gasping was the only thing that could be heard as the three of you attempted to regain your senses. Finally, Comte’s melodic voice broke through the silence.
“If you agree, angel, Leo and I will be sure to make your remaining time here as special as you are to us.”
“Yes, cara mia, we would love nothing more than for you to spend time with us, both of us.”
With a grin, you nodded and pressed a kiss against both men’s cheeks, eagerly looking forward to whatever they had in mind for you.

What Goes Up, Must Come Down (IkeVamp)
a/n:  In which MC continues her reign of mildly infuriating terror upon the Greatest Men in History. No one is safe. A continuation of “Piano Heist” and “Sorry, Not Sorry”.  Happy reading <3
[Main Characters]: MC, Mozart, Dazai (with minor appearances of everyone else)
[Series]: MC Pranks the Ikeboys
[Genre]: Comedy, slight (?) crack
~*~
On her way to the last task of the day, MC passed by Mozart’s piano room, where she could hear him experimenting with different melodies. She stopped to enjoy the music, leaning closer to the door with each second. She closed her eyes, and her mind wandered to the time when her fingers danced across those keys freely. She leaned forward against the door, except her head did not land on a door. It landed on something much... softer and fleshier.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
MC instantly recoiled her head back, meeting Mozart’s glare.
“Nothing! I was just on my way to clean the—”
“I never did punish you for your little theft, did I?” He narrowed his eyes.
“Uhhh… what theft?” She feigned ignorance.
“Don’t play dumb with me,” Mozart scowled.
He narrowed his eyes down on her, elevating his intimidation threefold. If looks could kill, she’d have lasers shooting through her skull right now.
“Ok, Ok, I’m sorry! I won’t do it again, I just wanted to play on the piano once!”
“That’s no excuse for damaging my prized piano.”
MC closed her eyes, shielding herself with defensive hands.
“The scratch was taken care of, wasn’t it?! No harm, no foul…?”
She lowered her hands slightly and peeked one eye at him. He continued to glare at her for another minute. Then he sighed tiredly and stepped away, allowing her some breathing room. He turned to face his neglected piano inside the room.
“I heard you playing in Arthur’s room. At the time, I couldn’t confirm if it really was you or not.”
“And… what did you think?” She treaded carefully into this conversation.
His murderous intent had somehow subdued. Silence settled between them while his eyes seemed to stare off beyond the piano.
Suddenly, he turned back to her with a huff, fixing his icy lavender gaze on her once more.
“Surely nothing that could compare to my music,” he scoffed.
He was about to turn away and shut the door behind him, but MC called out to him.
“Wait! Herr Mozart!”
She grabbed him by the shoulder, to which he clutched and twisted her arm off of him.
“Don’t touch me,” he seethed. She nursed her assaulted wrist and took a deep breath.
“Listen, I’m really sorry about what I did. To be honest, I’ve always loved the piano, and so when I saw yours, I couldn’t help it.”
“You… couldn’t help dragging it across the hallway and wasting all of our time?”
“…That was more of a heat-of-the-moment kind of plan,” she laughed sheepishly.
She took a deep breath and started again, “If I may be so bold, can I… ask you to teach me to play the piano... the way you do?”
The hallway fell silent again. A silence so heavy, it felt like it lasted an eternity.
“Can you sight read?”
“Yes.”
“Know your scales?”
“Yes.”
He narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
MC spoke with a renewed confidence, “I can prove it if you’ll let me.”
She tipped her head in the direction of Mozart’s prized possession. He shook his head, already walking back inside, but his gaze remained fixated.
“Meet me here tomorrow after breakfast. Be late and the deal is off. You’ve been warned. I don’t take kindly to tardiness.”
He turned on his heel, punctuating his declaration with a door slam.
...
...Did that really just happen?
‘I don’t know if I should feel honored or threatened? ...or BOTH??’
After a few seconds, the sound of the piano returned at full force, breaking MC out of her reverie. Whatever she was feeling was replaced with a sense of pride in getting herself out of his anger’s reach. Her worries slowly melted into excitement for tomorrow.
Feeling absolutely giddy, she almost forgot her last task of the day. ‘Dining room!’ She picked up her cleaning supplies and made her way to the kitchen, where a row of windows were waiting.
Just as she was done wiping the last one, a hand popped up on the windowsill, followed by another. MC jumped from the suddenness of it, taking a step back as she anticipated the intruder’s next moves. She replaced the towel in her hand with the sturdy mop as her weapon of retaliation. Holding the back end to the window, she prepared herself to attack.
“Oh, hello, Toshiko-san! The weather is lovely today,” he greeted cordially.
Eh?
“Dazai?!”
With a huff, he gracefully hoisted himself up and into the dining room.
“Thank you for opening the window for me, it can be such a troublesome thing sometimes,” he shot her a serene smile, one that she couldn’t trust whatsoever.
“You scared the crap out of me! Why did you just climb through the window??”
“Hmmm… Simply put, it’s fun!” He stated with his unwavering smile.
“W-well, don’t do that. I won’t hesitate to fight you, next time.”
“Ah~ Yoshie-san. You’re so cute when you’re commanding. And what if I do it again, hm?” He challenged with a carefree smile.
Before she could respond, he walked away with a casual wave behind him, like he didn’t just crawl through the window and scare the soup out of her.
After he turned the corner, MC stared long and hard at the window. Her gaze shifted between the windowsill where Dazai’s hands were once perched, and the archway to the kitchen, where a stick of butter on the counter caught her attention.
“I guess I just have to show you then...” she mumbled with a wicked cheshire grin etched on her face.
~*~
MC washed her hands of the evidence of her latest scheme, whistling a cheerful tune as one does after applying copious amounts of slippery butter a set of dining room windows.
She was tidying up the kitchen when Sebastian walked in, ready to make dinner preparations.
“You’re here early, excellent! You’ve been doing well to keep up lately.”
“Why, thank you. I learned from the best,” she mused with a wink.
“Everyone is coming to tonight’s dinner, so we better get started right away.”
Oh, perfect.
And so MC busied herself with dinner preparations, anticipating Dazai’s next unsuspecting climb.
Le Comte de Saint-Germain was happy to see the dining room full of his dear residents. Even Jean was dragged behind Napoleon, who had insisted on the former soldier’s attendance. Le Comte wondered if there was any special occasion that gathered them all, and he voiced his question to his old friend. The polymath shrugged, letting out a puff of smoke from his cigarillo.
Chatter was scattered in the room, Isaac and Napoleon were conversing with Jean. Mozart sat next to Jean with arms crossed, tapping a rhythm with his fingers. Arthur and Theo were bickering about their latest bet with Vincent appointed the mediator of their quarrel.
Le Comte looked on fondly at his residents before his eyebrows knit together in concern. He glanced at his pocket watch while MC and Sebastian made their rounds to serve everyone.
“Where’s Dazai?” Asked a concerned Momte.
Everyone glanced at the window of the dining hall, waiting for his entrance.
“Do you guys smell… butter?” Isaac asked, face scrunched up and confused.
As if on cue, long slender fingers appeared from the darkness onto the windowsill, but they failed to maintain a firm grip.
“He’s not gunna make it!”
Try as he might, the window fought back.
Dazai’s life flashed before his eyes as time seemed to slow down.
Is it my time, already? Betrayed by my own window-chan.
Well played... Toshiko-san.
 [Bonus scene]
Back in the dining room, Vincent and Theo, who were nearest to the window,  stood and peered over the edge to search for the eccentric novelist through the darkness.
MC had to excuse herself to avoid laughing out loud in front of them all.
“Not so fast, MC,” Sebastian blocked her escape.
A thousand flicks were her punishment that evening, on top of a lecture about harming the esteemed residents of the mansion.
“But he’s a vampire! He’ll be fine~.”
Try as he might, Comte could not bring himself to punish MC.
Arthur had his head thrown back in laugther, enjoying the unexpectedly eventful dinner. Once his laughter died down, he wiped the tears from his eyes, trying to catch his breath.
He glanced Isaac, who looked far from pleased, “Hey, Newt, do you reckon Dazai’s fall carried enough force to leave a hole where he landed?”
“Is this really the time to inquire about a hole in the ground when Dazai MIGHT HAVE JUST DIED- well, maybe not died,” Isaac’s hand latched onto a lock of his hair twirling it as he continued, “based on the height of the fall and his weight, the gravitational force may not end up large enough to cause fatal damage, but he could still end up with a concussion or what if he landed on a sharp end—that is, unless—"
Frantic rustling leaves could be heard from the garden below.
“He’s fine! I spotted his head pop out of the bushes,” Vincent announced, and Theo tsked in disappointment.
“Oh, or… that is also… a possibility.”
“DAZAI-SENSEI, ARE YOU OK?” Sebastian rushed to the window next to Vincent, having finished lecturing MC. Dazai’s head was spinning, but he didn’t seem bothered by the fall at all.
 “I’M FINE, I’M—”
...and he fainted.
Everyone turned to MC, who was laughing despite the earlier scolding and the bright red mark on her forehead.
She simply shrugged, “I said I wouldn’t hesitate.”

Imagine if the suitors went to the beach for a whole day in the modern world...what crazy crap do you think will happen
Here are a handful of crazy and/or cute headcanons that came to mind! :D
-Mozart swatting away seagulls because HE IS TRYING TO EAT IN PEACE
-Jeanne watching him, MC offering him two water guns with a silent nod (sunglasses on, we’re going full meme)
-Jeanne then proceeds to shoot at them (no gulls were harmed in making of this promotional video) and his aim is impeccable it would be disturbing if the thwarted squawking wasn’t so funny
-Little kids start swarming around Jeanne asking how he’s so amazing and wanting to play team battles, inviting him to join
-Napoleon encourages him, and even Mozart joins in despite not liking getting wet very much (he wants Jeanne to have some positive fun times bc he BIIIIIIIG depressy)
-In the end they both admit to having fun, and one of the kids even teaches Jeanne a special ten step handshake (Jeanne has no idea what that was but the kiddo was smiling so he figured he’d go with it)
-HE AND MOZART STILL SECRETLY USE THE HANDSHAKE FOR FUNSIES BUT TELL NO ONE BECAUSE THEY DON’T LIKE F U N DON’T LOOK AT THEM
-Dazai, alternatively, gathers the fallen gull army and becomes their god with a singular cylinder of Pringles. No I will not elaborate--THE SEA GULLS GOT HER!!!!!!!!
-Spends most of the beach day wetting his feet in the tide pools and talking very earnestly to the gulls about this new thing he learned about called tax evasion while people pass by this fucker in full kimono at the beach and are convinced he’s lost it
-Dazai is very much not sane but we knew this already, offers sea shells to little kids that ask him what he’s doing and tells them to listen to the secrets bird friends can tell them
-If Dazai sounds like an Animal Crossing Villager, that was entirely by accident but remains no less true
-Surprising absolutely no one, Arthur suggests volley ball after watching people play and invites some pretty ladies to join him
-Arthur ends up needing two more people to play, so he invites Vincent and Theo (Vincent is so excited about trying something new that Theo can’t say no despite wanting to make a volleyball-shaped crater in Arthur’s face)
-The funniest part about the volleyball game is that not only is Arthur a shit player (CANON WEAK ARMS FOOL) Theo destroys with his spikes, and Vincent’s reach is insane--the two brothers end up becoming the talk of the beach
-I just laugh imagining Vincent sincerely complimenting people around him and the ladies swooning because he’s just so nice and pretty is he even real
-Men aren’t happy about that^TM but at the sight of Theo’s defensive glower they keep their malicious traps shut--which turn on whichever girls weren’t interested in Vincent jahkslgjh
-**Kaguyasama narrator voice** Today on Arthur Shenanigans: Arthur loses
-Poor Isaac is hiding under the umbrella clutching sunscreen bc HE IS A PASTY BOY HELP HIM
-MC brought a few of the newest Maths/Physics books in her time for him to read, and while he doesn’t enjoy the intensity of the sun--not like vamp weakness, it’s just the strain on his body (too many stimuli too many people too much noise) that makes him tired and ultimately thirsty bc aberrant. But the change of scenery's not so bad.......
-MC laughs when she gets out of the water and the salt dries visibly on her skin, Isaac’s eyes bug out and he asks if it hurts (startles when Leo flicks sea water at him and asks how on earth they got in the water when it’s so cold!!!)
-Leo chats with him and he likes being able to draw theorems and the like in the sand, it’s like one big chalkboard (until a kid tramples across them in the middle of writing, POPPYCOCK!). Isaac ultimately has fun but prefers to stay inside poor bub
-Leonardo, surprising no one, falls asleep in the sand the second he gets there HE IS HOME (Italian beaches, amirite)
-MC decides to, after a point, bury him fully in the sand for shits
-Comte notices and aids in her shenanigans from his beach chair, snickering the whole time
-When the two are satisfied they go for a swim together, trusting Leo to look after Isaac if need be (even if he’s a mummy rn)
-Comte is relieved to hear that she knows how to swim, but also watches carefully and doesn’t let her drift out too far by keeping closer to the shore himself (riptides!!!! can be!!!!!!! dangerous!!!!!!!!!!) if he had his way (he would never impose but he worries ;-;) she’d be wearing floaties SAFETY FIRST
-They splash at each other like maniacs and chat amiably until they start swimming away as fast as possible when Leo wakes up, laughing
-How do we know that Leo woke up?
-Because he sat up ramrod straight and a tower of sand fell. He then proceeded to jump up and sprint to the water despite Isaac’s startled cries about being careful, and swam after them like a shark to get his revenge (it was like something out of an anime s2g)
-Mostly just tugs on MC’s leg, picks her up in the water, and yeets her across in retaliation; really harmless, she’s cackling the whole time
-Dunks Comte’s head in the water while he’s being scolded, and MC has to de-escalate their increasingly dangerous shenanigans before the life guard comes after them LMFAO
-They concede only bc MC looks sad/worried abt being kicked out, and agree to keep things fun FIGHT TO THE DEATH LATER TONIGHT
-Napoleon goes for a nice long walk along the shoreline and climbs the rocks if he finds any til he gets to the top (he does not go to his happy place HE GOES TO HIS HIGH LONESOME PLACE) wishes that Jupiter could be here to enjoy the brine
-Our boy Napoleon is simply just vibin he loves the beach. A little further off the sound of people is p muted, it’s just the crashing waves and crisp smell of salt, the light breeze ruffling his hair
-Sebas is absolutely watching through binoculars and writing down how majestic Napoleon is while making sure no one gets lost/wrecked as he takes notes
Bonus: since volleyball games can often happen back to back on a sizable beach, the boys^TM were playing and Arthur called out “Theo duck!!!!” and just as Theo was saying “Are you fucking kidding me did you really think I’d--T H W A C K” Theo gets nailed in the back of the head (Arthur later died after being put in a headlock)
Shakespeare didn’t feel like playing volley ball and didn’t have much else to do (can’t swim and has no interest), so he just sat back and tried to throw Theo off his game as much as possible
Por ejemplo: Theo misses a serve and Shakespeare just “For never was there a story of more woe; O bard Alexa, verily, play us Despacito” “SHUT THE FUCK UP”
Jeanne also gets hit by a stray volley ball, but when Vincent said “Oh no, Jeanne, duck!” he has one of either two reactions: 1. Boulevard of Broken Dreams plays obnoxiously loud as he dodges inhumanly fast 2. he quacks, gets nailed, and doesn’t react because he doesn’t have any brain cells to damage

Arthur, Isaac & Mozart w/ a Chubby!Confident!Reader/MC
~
Arthur Conan Doyle
Now don’t get me wrong, Arthur loves all women no matter what they look like or their personality (unless they’re evil like that one Sister from his route - you know the one)
But when a women has the confidence level of a queen?? You’ve got him wrapped around your finger.
There’s just something about women who aren’t like all the others he’s been with that really gets him.
Even if you insulted everything that you could about him the first time you both met.
It was the boldness in your words and the way you carried yourself without a care what others said that has him infatuated and wanting to know more.
The first couple interactions with the other residents had him falling on his ass laughing.
Never has he seen someone make Theo and Wolfie shut up so fast.
After that he knows exactly when some kind of verbal brawl between her and another resident, most likely Theo, will occur and he kicks back for the show.
Kind of gets hurt when she says something particularly harsh but brushes it off like he does.
A week passes and Arthur has figured out that she’s a little like Theo in a sense, bitter on the outside but secretly soft on the inside.
How does he know? Well he’s experienced this secret side of her of course!
It was during one of his self-deprecating moods, his past coming to haunt his thoughts when (y/n) walked in with his dinner, seeing as he skipped out on it.
The writer was so deep in thought that he didn’t even hear her come in until the glass of Rouge was set down beside him, shocking him.
A flirty line was on the tip of his tongue when a quiet “Hey” came from her, in the softest voice he’s every heard from her, that one word silencing him.
“I don’t know what the hell is going on in that head of yours but... don’t let it consume you. It won’t be easy but you gotta push past it and not let it eat at you, that’s how it wins...”
Arthur’s breath hitched when the faintest of smiles appeared on her lips, he was sure that he was seeing an actual angel.
After that it was like clock work and the two were hanging out more and more, going out in town a lot (with Vic too).
Her advice hit him in a way and like she said, it wasn’t easy, but it was a start for him.
From the very start of their relationship as a couple (y/n) would constantly give Arthur praises anytime he moved forward to forgiving and just bettering himself in general.
Rewards usually involve kisses and cuddles
Maybe a little more ;)
Like I mentioned earlier he doesn’t care that you may be a little thicker than the other women in town, it’s more for him to love!
He’s honestly so happy that you love your body despite what others may say, he’s a very proud boyfriend.
But even if you do, that won't stop him from loving every inch of you and your body.
All in all, it’s a relationship that includes a lot of love and proud moments for one another :)
Isaac Newton
Poor Apple Boi is a little scared of you, don’t be mean to him please he’s shy and insecure T_T
Like don’t get him wrong confident women are great but... you might be a little too confident sometimes for his heart to keep up.
“(Y/N) yOU cAn’T sAY tHinGS LiKE tHAT!!” is something he thinks a lot when a particularly mean thing might exit your mouth.
Begs to any God that will listen that there’s some passive side to you that will help lower his blood pressure.
But if there isn’t that’s alright, he guess, cause most of the time you aren’t actually that bad.
That was before the both of you ran into the children he teaches at the fountain, his heart and mind doing literal summer salts cause what if you make one of them cry? What then!? He can't handle crying children!
Nevertheless Isaac still asks if you could help educate them and you agree without complaint - surprisingly
About half an hour later when his group of kids were working (you split them into two groups, one for him and another for you) he took a glance your way and - HOLY SHIT IS SHE SMILING!?
Takes a double take on that, splashes a little of the freezing fountain water in his face and when he still sees you smiling down at the young ones Isaac thinks he's done for.
But then he hears what you’re telling the children
“If you’re willing to put the effort into it and continue to push forward then you can do and be anything you want...”
You hear that? It’s the sound of his poor heart malfunctioning
Isaac may have an extended life but even then he didn’t think he’d live to see the day that a genuine smile, with no snide present, wound grace your face and that such encouraging words would come from you.
You weren’t rocket science to him anymore, he saw that there was more to you and unconsciously he started to soften up around you.
When the two of you got into a relationship it was a lot of you taking the lead, trying to help the shy man out of his cocoon.
And when he did take those steps and started to speck more and say what was on his mind? He got smooches, loads of them.
You are very very proud that he’s growing into the man he wants to be.
One time when you guys were out and about some snob women were making some comments about your weight. Baby was furious and was ready to reassure you that you were beautiful no matter what you looked like, even if he isn’t the best at comforting people.
He shouldn’t have been as surprised as he was when all you did was say something equally bad (if not worse) to them, grabbed his hand and left.
When he asked if you were okay he was very happy to hear that their words didn’t hurt you because their opinion didn’t matter to you.
He did, however, turn a little red when you said that if anyone’s opinion mattered it was his because you love him and knows that he loves you <3
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Won’t lie, both of you got into the equivalent of a cat fight the first time you ran into each other.
It was so bad Jean and Napoleon had to step in before either of you said something that might actually hurt the other.
After that night it was like an unspoken rule between the two of you that under no circumstances should your paths cross.
Which was incredibly hard since Sebastian assigned you to bring him his meals.
Not one interaction went without some sort of mean jab being sent to the other.
One time you got some pink nail polish on Mozart’s white piano and he lost it
It seemed absolutely impossible for there to be any chance that the two could get along
All hope was nearly lost, but then came the day that (y/n) said something to him that just turned this mess of a relationship around.
The pianist was having a hard time composing a certain piece and nothing was coming to him no matter what he did.
About to give up for the day, in came the human with a bottle of Blanc for him. When her eyes spotted the disaster that was crumpled sheet music, many of the notes scratched out, she knew exactly what was going on.
“Put yourself back to a time that you were happy and full of joy... Or, think about what you feel when you eat something really good - like chocolate, I know you love it. If there were colours to accompany the feeling, what would they be? Would they be slow moving like a river or burst like fireworks? Use those as a pace and let your heart do the rest...”
Before the haughty musical genius could question a single word she just told him, (y/n) was already out of the room, off to finish the rest of her chores
Nevertheless Mozart tries it out and by the end of the night he’s got a masterpiece written out in front of him.
And you have an IOU with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart written on it - and he hates having to owe people.
So here he is, out in town for the first time in forever, showing you 19th century Paris since he remembered overhearing you say how you wanted to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Surprisingly, it went well. Every time you said something that would usually elicit a remark from him was met instead with him holding his tongue, your soft voice from the day before playing in his mind each time.
When you caught on that he was actually trying to be nice you too made the effort, thus resulting in the two of you growing just a little closer.
You also gave him some nail polish remover that you had to help clean his piano cause he was having trouble.
From then on the harsh words became playful more than anything.
Could care less what you look like, though is very happy that you're comfortable in your own skin.
During Mozart's performances (y/n) claps the loudest and he knows it, she's told him that it's because she's very proud that he's started to play his music for others and because he wants to, not because he's force to.
His lips always twitch up when he hears her cheer for him, it fills him with joy every time knowing the meaning behind the action and that it comes with love.
BONUS!
Vincent and her got along instantly when he spotted these beautiful designs that she painted on her nails. He wanted to know how she did it without smudging anything since nails are such a small canvas to work with.
Theo got confused and upset when he saw that she was nice to his brother and not him.
She's totally destroyed Shakespeare cause no one messes with her friends goddammit!
Requests are closed right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy my other works while you wait for them to open! You might find something you like, who knows :)

Pairing: Isaac x Reader (ft. Napoleon)
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: N/A
Word Count: 627
~~~~~
You hadn’t been living in the mansion for very long. A couple of months, at most, had passed since you decided to stay in the 19th century. Every day there was an adventure, which could not be said of the life you’d left behind.
Today, Napoleon invited you to go to town with him and Isaac to tutor the children. He made sure to add that Isaac would need someone to speak to while waiting for Napoleon to get done. You agreed, of course, since you didn’t want to disappoint either of them.
That’s how you ended up in your current position. You and Isaac were sitting on some crates, absentmindedly watching Napoleon and the kids as you were lost in thought. Seeing your breath only made you feel colder. You were already shivering. That started almost immediately after exiting the coach ten minutes ago. And Isaac… He seemed fine save for the redness of his nose and ears.
Instinct finally trumped your rational thoughts. You scooted closer to him and wrapped both your arms around one of his before pushing your face into the shoulder of his jacket. Oh god...he was so warm!
Your suddenness, however, caused Isaac to jump in surprise. He was looking down at you with wide eyes. “____..?!” You’d never done something like this before, and Isaac was used to having space.
“S-Sorry,” you finally got out through chattering teeth.
He stared at you for a moment longer before you felt his body relax. You certainly caught him off guard, but he didn’t want to push you off of him either. He didn’t want you to suffer from the cold. “It’s fine,” he muttered and looked away, swallowing hard. He really hoped you couldn’t see the blush that had formed on his cheeks.
A few minutes later, Isaac stole another glance at you. You’d been shivering significantly less, but he could tell that you were still really cold. You were going to get sick at this rate if he didn’t get you inside. But why were you trying so hard to bare it? Why did you insist on staying out here? You could’ve easily said that it was too cold for you and went back to the mansion. Both he and Napoleon would have understood. He sighed heavily. You really were so difficult to understand.
Isaac got to his feet, pulling you up with him. Thinking that he wanted to get some space, you reluctantly let go of him and took a step away. He pulled you right back.
“W-why..?”
“You’re cold, right? We can stay like this. I don’t mind.” He let you wrap your arms around him again then started walking.
Unbeknownst to either you or Isaac, Napoleon had been watching the two of you of out of the corner of his eye the whole time. He wore a knowing smile. It looked like his plan was working. “Isaac!” Napoleon called out to his friend who was walking away with the newest resident of the mansion clinging to him. The physicist paused in his strides and looked back at him. “Where are you going?”
“Oh…” Isaac suddenly realized how this must have looked, and his blush darkened. “We’ll just be a couple blocks over. I’m going to get ____ out of the cold.”
Napoleon looked over the two of them then nodded. “Good idea. I’ll come find you when we’re done then.”
Isaac returned the nod and led ____ away.
The children and Napoleon watched the two retreating figures. He looked down when he felt one of them pulling at his sleeve. “Hm? What is it?”
“Are they boyfriend and girlfriend?”
Napoleon couldn’t help letting a chuckle slip. “Not yet.” He turned back to the children and raised his rapier. “Who’s next?”
Ikemen Vampire: Language of Flowers - Vlad
Tumblr media
Flower: Peach/Peach Blossom
Meaning/Symbolism: Your qualities, like your charms, are unequalled (Peach) / I am your captive (Peach Blossom)
Word Count: 1108
Tumblr media
Vlad eyed you with curiosity as you peacefully slept on his lap. As per your request, he had taken you to the field of roses he often spoke fondly of, and your reaction upon taking in the iconic view made it worth his while.
After carefully removing the thorns from the rose he had been working on ever since you fell asleep, he leisurely tucked it behind your ear, a little smile forming on his lips as he did so.
How did things come to this, Vlad genuinely wondered. In all the centuries he’s lived, never once has he met a human who is resistant to a pureblood’s thrall, so having you around had been rather stimulating. It made him a little sad thinking that you would eventually return to your time, for he has grown to care about you as an object of his interest and would rather refrain from sabotaging your return once again, because he’d rather not lose you to the void of space-time.
What Vlad had not been expecting though, was that you would actually come to him. He didn’t knew when you started to develop feelings for him– and at first he simply accepted because he thought it would be a rather entertaining way to torment Comte who was evidently opposed to the idea of you staying with him.
Vlad welcomed you with open arms with the intention of establishing ownership over the object of his interest, but even after turning you into a vampire, you remained immune to his powers. Vlad also thought that turning you into a vampire may not be the wisest decision he’s made in centuries, for in the very instance he had known the taste of your blood, he felt himself spiraling into the depths of his greatest addiction. You had him addicted so bad to the point that it’s almost shameless for a pureblood vampire, who in the vampire society are supposed to be exemplars of restraint.
Indeed, in his needless attempts to control you, he had been the one who had fallen under you.
To begin with, it’s not like Vlad needed to bind you– you willingly belonged to him. It didn’t even matter if his feelings towards you weren’t that of love, just him allowing you to be there for him was enough for you. There’s simply no end to how much think the world of him, and you found perfection even in his imperfections-- you’re absolutely smitten. In your eyes, no one can possibly ever hope to compare to Vlad, and you are devoted to him in every sense you could think of, so his desperation to have you under his spell came off as particularly strange to you.
Unbeknownst to you, Vlad has indeed fallen for you not long ago, but the pureblood has yet to completely come into terms with the fact that he had actually fallen in love. So he masquerades it under the guise of wanting to subjugate you simply for his entertainment, when in reality he would probably end the world should he succeed… because then your love for him wouldn’t feel as genuine as it is now.
When your eyelids finally fluttered open, you found yourself under Vlad’s loving gaze– a look that honestly suited him better than the look of a fallen angel hell-bent on delivering his definition of a peaceful world, but you didn’t mind because that’s also one of his charms.
“Had a nice nap?”
“Yes, my lor-”
“I believe I have told you not to call me that when it’s just the two of us,” Vlad promptly reminded you, caressing your cheeks. Your skin flushed under his touch.
“Vlad…” His name escaped your lips in a soft whisper.
The pureblood smirked in approval, before pulling you up to straddle on his lap. You feel like you could lose yourself forever in the tenderness of his gaze that’s reserved for you alone. You dared cup his cheeks with your hands and press a kiss on his lips, which he returned just as gently, before pulling you down with him as he laid on the field of roses.
“I have a question for you,” Vlad spoke as he reached out beside him to take another rose, snapping the stem into a more manageable length before his fingers began their work on removing the thorns.
“What is it?”
Without meeting your curious gaze, the question came out of his lips. “Just why do you adore me so, dragă mea?”
You weren’t expecting him to ask that of all questions he could’ve possibly asked that moment, so it took you a while to collect your thoughts. “There are a lot of reasons, Vlad. But if you’ll ask me how did I first come to admire you… maybe it’s because I wanted to see the future you want for this world.”
Your response caught him off guard, causing his fingers to slip, a fresh cut now running along its tip. Your pupils dilated as you were assaulted by the sweet, intoxicating scent of your beloved’s blood.
“You don’t think it’s a horrible thing to do?”
“N-no. Not at all. The future I c-came from was already heading t-towards the dystopia y-you spoke of.”
A devious smile graced Vlad’s handsome features as he listened to your voice falter, that he intentionally pricked another finger with the thorns. “But the other purebloods believe it’s best not to interfere.”
Your fangs started to ache for him. “I-I think… it’s a n-noble thing to w-want to take a-action on thi— n-no, y-you mustn’t!” You watched in horror as Vlad pricked a third finger, before letting go of the rose at your sudden interjection. He offered you his now bloodied fingers, a smug grin on his face.
“I mustn’t what? Tell me, dragă mea.” But it’s too late and the act has been done, and now you’re lustfully sucking on his fingers, eyes clouded with desire as the mischievous act fueled your arousal. With his free hand, he tugged on the collar of his shirt, exposing your favorite spot where his neck meets his shoulders.
You greedily accepted this invitation and in no time your fangs were embedded in that sweet spot, eliciting deep groans of pleasure from Vlad. In the frenzied evening that ensued, Vlad carved into your body the unparalleled zenith of what it meant to be his dearly beloved, and in those moments, you just knew.
No matter what comes out of the future Vlad had coveted for this world, you’ll never regret a single thing about captivating his heart, and you’ll gladly burn with him should the worst ever happens.
Tumblr media
“Dragă mea” means “my darling” in Romanian (yea that’s where the historical Vlad came from) and yea... I think it’s a pureblood thing to call their beloved “my darling” kek
In case you’re wondering why Vlad gets two flowers...I was actually bamboozled that they’d include Peach on that list when it’s not actually a flower wow such fake news bruh it says Language of Flowers not Language of Fruits... or maybe I’m just a dumdum and there’s actually a Peach flower and it ain’t the same thing as Peach Blossom... oh well but then it fits so yea might as well
This concludes the Ikemen Vampire - Language of Flowers series and if you’re wondering why there isn’t any for Charles and Faust, let’s just say that I wrote Vlad’s on the last minute because I love him and this one wasn’t actually planned... so yea think of it as a bonus. Even if I wanted to write one for the other two I just really don’t know them that much and my interest ain’t just there yet... but since both of them are February babies I may consider writing one for them next year for their birthdays :3
A Date With A Vampire- Arthur
Words- 2112
MC placed the last polished silver in the drawer, closing it and walking over to Sebastian.
“I finished with the silver. Anything else you would like me to do?” MC asked wiping their hands on their apron. Sebastian looked over at MC, continuing his task.
“Can you bring Master Arthur his bottle of rogue? And then you are free to go.”
MC nodded and walked off to get the bottle of blood to bring to the vampire. They placed it on a silver tray with a glass and walked out of the kitchen, towards the bedrooms. Their feet softly padded against the carpeted floor as they quickly walked to the writer’s bedroom.
Reaching the room, MC knocked on the wooden door. “Arthur, It’s me. I have a bottle of rogue.” There was no answer but the door creaked open slowly. MC pushed it a little farther open, peaking into the room. It was empty.
‘Might as well just leave it here for when he returns,’ MC thought, walking into the room to place the tray on the coffee table. A piece of paper on the desk caught their eye, They walked over and picked it up, looking back to make sure no one was watching.  It was a list of things. Some were crossed out.
DATE IDEAS-
Picnic
Cafe dinner
Rowboat
Star gazing
Bookstore shop
Was this for a new book? Or who was Arthur going on a date with? MC placed the piece of paper back down before stepping back and turning to leave. They froze in place as their eyes met with blue ones.
“Arthur...um...sorry. I brought you some rogue.” They gestured to the bottle. Arthur’s eyes flicked to the table before back to them.
“I see. Then you decided to snoop in my stuff? Curious about me, huh?”  Redness crawled up their neck and up their cheeks.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have looked. Uh...so are you writing a new book and need date ideas?” Arthur smiled cheekily.
“No. Actually I was planning on asking someone.” Dread and nerves filled MC’s chest and stomach.
“Oh.” They tried to hide the disappointment. “Who were you going to ask?”
Arthur walked over slowly, staring MC dead in the eye, a smirk on his face.
“A human...A gorgeous human.” MC looked away from him but their head was pulled back to look at the vampire again.
“That's...nice. I-I should get going.  You have fun on the date.” MC was stopped.
“MC, love...I was talking about you.”
MC’s heart skipped a beat. What? He was going to ask them? “W-What?”
Arthur chuckled and took MC’s hand in his. “MC, will you go on a date with me?”
Butterflies erupted in their stomach. He was asking them. A smile fought its way onto their lips. “Sure.
“Really?” Arthur sounded...surprised?
“Yeah, sounds fun. When were you thinking?” Arthur’s eyes rapidly blinked.
“Uh tonight?”
MC nodded. “Time?”
“five?”
“See you at five then. Meet you by the front door?” Arthur nodded and stepped to the side to let them pass.
“See you then.” He cleared his throat. MC smiled wide before walking out of the room. They smiled as the door shut behind them. Napoleon was walking back with Jean. MC stopped them.
“Do either of you know what time it is?” They asked. Napoleon shook his head as Issac walked out of his room, a couple doors ahead.
“Here.” He walked forward and stopped the physicist, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a pocket watch. Issac gasped and tried to pull away.
“It’s half past three.” Napoleon handed Isaac back his pocket watch and patted him on the shoulder. MC laughed at the two.
“Thank you, Napoleon. And thank you, Issac for the use of your pocket watch.” MC walked off to their room to get ready. They had an hour and a half to get ready. They started with heading off to the bath to wash their body, getting the day’s grime off. After getting clean they went back to their bedroom to brush their hair and get dressed.
Vicent had stopped them along the way. “MC! Arthur asked me to give you a message. He said to dress comfortably.”
“Thank you, Vic.” MC nodded at the man before continuing on. They got dressed in their most comfortable, nice clothing. Making sure their hair was in order, they put on their shoes and walked out of their room, heading to the front door.
Arthur was waiting by the front door. He wasn’t wearing all of his suit. He only wore a pair of nice trousers and a white button up, tucked into the waistband of his pants. The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to show his forearms. MC scanned his appearance as they approached. He looked absolutely scrumptious.
Arthur’s eyes made their way to MC, scanning them. The writer took in every inch of their body. He licked his lips and smiled.
“You look amazing. Shall we get going?” He held out his arm as MC got closer. MC smiled, taking his arm.
“We shall.” The two of them walked out of the manor and towards the awaiting carriage. The driver stood outside holding the door open for them. Arthur helped MC into the carriage, then hopping in himself.
“What's on the agenda?” MC asked adjusting their sitting position to be more comfortable.
Arthur smirked, sitting across from them. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
“Why? Just tell me!” MC stomped their foot in protest.
The writer laughed smugly. “It's a surprise.”
 The two arrived at their destination shortly. Arthur got out of the carriage and helped MC out, making sure they were steady on their feet before letting go. MC looked around. They were at a small cafe. It was a small building in between two large ones. You could almost look right past it. It looked cozy and inviting.
The two walked into the soft but still brightly lit room. There were chairs and tables evenly spaced throughout the place. The walls were painted a light brown with a few decorations along the expanse. Athur led them to a small two person table off to one side of the building.
“Is this alright or do you want to sit at a different table?”
MC smiled. “This is okay.”
Before Arthur could move, MC walked over and pulled out a chair, motioning for him to sit, smiling cheekily. Arthur laughed softly and sat down.
“Thank you, love.” MC pushed the chair in before going to sit down in their own chair. The two conversed while looking over the menu. MC spotted their favorite drink on the menu and gasped. Arthur looked up and raised a brow.
“Everything okay?”
“Gucci! They have my favorite drink.”
Arthur scrunched his eyebrows together.”Gucci? What is that?”
MC looked up, lips parted slightly in confusion. They laughed softly, realizing their mistake. “Sorry, it's a 21st century term. What I meant is that I'm great.”
“Ah, okay.”
A waiter approached and took their order. The two went back to talking and joking.
“Do we need to main line coffee into your bloodstream?” MC joked as Arthur had to hold back downing the coffee that was just placed in front of him. The writer glared as he set down the cup.
“Shh. Its what helps me write.” MC laughed.
“Still! We could hook an IV to you while you're writing so you don't have to stop and take a drink.”
Soon the food arrived and the two dived in. MC glanced up, watching Arthur stab some food with his fork as they took a drink. Their eyes raked the writer's features. The way his hair fell into his face. They studied creepily as his lips curled around his fork. MC couldn’t fight back the warmth that spread throughout  their body as his eyes lifted to meet theirs, looking at them curiously as he chewed his food.
“Everything alright? Do I have something on my face?”
MC smiled softly and shook their head. “No.” They went back to eating as Arthur stared at them confused.
When the two finished, Arthur paid the bill before the two exited the cafe.
“Whats next?” MC asked. Arthur grabbed their hand and started walking down the Paris sidewalk.
“We have to grab something before heading off to our final destination.”
The two walked in silence, swinging their connected hands. They reached a small bakery shop.
“You wait out here. I’ll be just a second.” He walked into the shop and emerged a few minutes later with a medium size paper bag. The two continued walking down the sidewalk.
“What's in the bag?” MC asked, trying to peek in the bag. Arthur moved it away from their prying eyes.
“You’ll see when we get there. Its going to be a bit of a walk. I can carry you if your feet get tired.”
“Don’t worry, I can carry you too, if needed.” Arthur chuckled, wrapping his arm around MC’s shoulders.
“Thank you, love.” They two walked in silence, enjoying the fresh air and each other’s presence. They walked out of the city and towards a small forest. MC took in their surroundings as the two walked father away from civilization.
Soon they reached a small meadow that led to a hill as the sun was setting.  MC could see a small item sitting on the hill as they approached. The two walked up the hill. The night sky got clearer the higher they went.
There was a small basket and two blankets. Arthur turned to look at MC as they reached the top.
“I thought we could look at the stars while enjoying some chocolate dipped strawberries.” He held up the bag towards the end. MC’s eyes flicked from the basket to the bag and then to Arthur.
“Sounds amazing.” They smiled at Arthur. The writer’s eyes lit up.
“I thought you would think its too cliche.” MC shook their head.
“Its a nice gesture. Yeah, its cliche but maybe I like cliches.”
Arthur set down the bag and started laying out the blanket.  “There are drinks in the basket,” He gestured as he fixed one of the corners.
MC walked over and opened the basket, pulling out the alcoholic beverages. The two took off their shoes before sitting down on the blanket. Arthur opened the bag and took out the strawberries.
“Open.” Arthur held up a strawberry. MC parted their lips and Arthur put the fruit into their mouth. MC bit down and pulled away slightly, letting him know they took a bite. The chocolate flavor mixed beautifully with the strawberry as MC chewed. Arthur took a bite of the strawberry. Chocolate smeared across his lips.
“You got a little.” MC laughed as they leaned forward and wiped the chocolate from the corner of his mouth. They brought their thumb to their lips and licked it away, maintaining eye contact with Arthur.  The writer watched their every move.
“Can I have another bite?” MC asked. Arthur stared with wide eyes.  “Arthur? Hello…” They waved a hand in front of his face. He snapped out of his trance.
“Right sorry.” He lifted the last bite of the berry to their lips. MC bit the rest of the fruit off. Arhur pulled away and set the top on the cover of the strawberries. He turned to look back at MC as they finished chewing the strawberry.
Before they could lick the chocolate off their lips, Arthur shot forwards and pressed his lips against MC’s. MC squeaked slightly as the weight of the vampire suddenly on them tipped the two backwards. Arthur landed on top as MC started kissing him back, tangling their hands in his hair.
Arthur pulled away slightly before pecking their lips once and fully pulled back, not moving off of MC. “Sorry, you had chocolate on your lips.”
MC started laughing, licking their lips. “Do I need to have chocolate on my lips for you to kiss me?”
Arthur smiled, staring down at their smiling face. “Yes.”
MC sat up pushing him off, reaching to grab a strawberry. They tilted their head to the side and spread chocolate on their neck, putting the strawberry back on the container. Arthur watched with wide eyes.
“Oops. Looks like I got chocolate on my neck. Mind getting it off for me?” MC smirked as the writer made eye contact.
“It would be my pleasure.” He leaned forward, laying them back down again and started removing the chocolate.
By the end of night, they still have the same amount of strawberries but the chocolate had been removed.
How Humble Moss Healed the Wounds of Thousands in World War I
By Lorraine Boissoneault, Smithsonian.com, April 28, 2017
The First World War had just begun, and already the wounds were rotting on the battlefield. In the last months of 1914, doctors like Sir W. Watson Cheyne of the Royal College of Surgeons of England noted with horror the “great prevalence of sepsis,” the potentially life-threatening response triggered by a bad infection. And by December 1915, a British report warned that the thousands of wounded men were threatening to exhaust the material for bandages.
Desperate to get their hands on something sterile that would keep wounds clear of infection, doctors started getting creative. They tried everything from irrigating the wounds with chlorine solutions to creating bandages infused with carbolic acid, formaldehyde or mercury chloride, with varying degrees of success. But in the end, there simply wasn’t enough cotton--a substance that was already in high demand for uniforms and its recently discovered use as an explosive--to go around.
What were the Allied Powers to do? A Scottish surgeon-and-botanist duo had an idea: stuff the wounds full of moss.
Yes, moss, the plant. Also known as sphagnum, peat moss thrives in cold, damp climates like those of the British Isles and northern Germany. Today, this tiny, star-shaped plant is known for its use in horticulture and biofuel, not to mention its starring role in preserving thousands-year-old “bog bodies” like the Tollund Man. But humans have also used it for at least 1,000 years to help heal their injuries.
In ancient times, Gaelic-Irish sources wrote that warriors in the battle of Clontarf used moss to pack their wounds. Moss was also used by Native Americans, who lined their children’s cradles and carriers with it as a type of natural diaper. It continued to be used sporadically when battles erupted, including during the Napoleonic and Franco-Prussian wars. But it wasn’t until World War I that medical experts realized the plant’s full potential.
In the war’s early days, eminent botanist Isaac Bayley Balfour and military surgeon Charles Walker Cathcart identified two species in particular that worked best for staunching bleeding and helping wounds heal: S. papillosum and S. palustre, both of which grew in abundance across Scotland, Ireland and England. When the men wrote an article in the “Science and Nature” section of The Scotsman extolling the moss’s medicinal virtues, they noted that it was already widely used in Germany.
But desperate times called for desperate measures. Or, as they wrote: “Fas est et ab hoste doceri”--it is right to be taught even by the enemy.
Field surgeons seemed to agree. Lieutenant-Colonel E.P. Sewell of the General Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt wrote approvingly that, “It is very absorbent, far more than cotton wool, and has remarkable deodorizing power.” Lab experiments around the same time vindicated his observations: Sphagnum moss can hold up to 22 times its own weight in liquid, making it twice as absorptive as cotton.
This remarkable spongelike quality comes from Sphagnum’s cellular structure, says Robin Kimmerer, professor of ecology at SUNY-Environmental Science and Forestry and the author of Gathering Moss: A Natural and Cultural History of Mosses. “Ninety percent of the cells in a sphagnum plant are dead,” Kimmerer says. “And they’re supposed to be dead. They’re made to be empty so they can be filled with water.” In this case, humans took advantage of that liquid-absorbing capacity to soak up blood, pus and other bodily fluids.
Sphagnum moss also has antiseptic properties. The plant’s cell walls are composed of special sugar molecules that “create an electrochemical halo around all of the cells, and the cell walls end up being negatively charged,” Kimmerer says. “Those negative charges mean that positively charged nutrient ions [like potassium, sodium and calcium] are going to be attracted to the sphagnum.” As the moss soaks up all the negatively charged nutrients in the soil, it releases positively charged ions that make the environment around it acidic.
For bogs, the acidity has remarkable preservative effects--think bog bodies--and keeps the environment limited to highly specialized species that can tolerate such harsh environments. For wounded humans, the result is that sphagnum bandages produce sterile environments by keeping the pH level around the wound low, and inhibiting the growth of bacteria.
As the war raged on, the number of bandages needed skyrocketed, and sphagnum moss provided the raw material for more and more of them. In 1916, the Canadian Red Cross Society in Ontario provided over 1 million dressings, nearly 2 million compresses and 1 million pads for wounded soldiers in Europe, using moss collected from British Columbia, Nova Scotia and other swampy, coastal regions. By 1918, 1 million dressings per month were being sent out of Britain to hospitals on continental Europe, in Egypt and even Mesopotamia.
Communities around the United Kingdom and North America organized outings to collect moss so the demand for bandages could be met. “Moss drives” were announced in local papers, and volunteers included women of all ages and children. One organizer in the United Kingdom instructed volunteers to “fill the sacks only about three-quarter full, drag them to the nearest hard ground, and then dance on them to extract the larger percentage of water.”
And as botanist P.G. Ayres writes, sphagnum was just as popular on the other side of the battle lines. “Germany was more active than any of the Allies in utilizing Sphagnum … the bogs of north-eastern Germany and Bavaria provided seemingly inexhaustible supplies. Civilians and even Allied prisoners of war were conscripted to gather the moss.”
Each country had its own method for making the bandages, with the British stations filling bags loosely while the American Red Cross provided precise instructions for how to layer the moss with nonabsorbent cotton and gauze. “[The British style] seems to have been looked down upon by the American Red Cross,” says Rachel Anderson, a project assistant in the division of medicine and science at the National Museum of American History who studied the museum’s collection of sphagnum bandages. “The criticism was that you were getting redistribution of the moss during shipment and use.”
But everyone agreed on one thing: moss bandages worked. Their absorbency was remarkable. They didn’t mildew. And from the Allies’ perspective, they were a renewable resource that would grow back without much difficulty. “So long as the peat underneath [the living moss] was not disturbed, the peat is going to keep acting like a sponge, so it enables regrowth of Sphagnum,” says Kimmerer.
New Release Roundup, 17 November 2018: Science fiction
Video game mercenaries, sky race pilots, Martian private investigators, and an army of alien bears feature in this week’s roundup of the newest releases in science fiction.
Astounding: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science – Alec Nevala-Lee
Astounding is the landmark account of the extraordinary partnership between four controversial writers—John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, and L. Ron Hubbard—who set off a revolution in science fiction and forever changed our world.
Drawing on unexplored archives, thousands of unpublished letters, and dozens of interviews, Alec Nevala-Lee offers a riveting portrait of this circle of authors, their work, and their tumultuous private lives. With unprecedented scope, drama, and detail, Astounding describes how fan culture was born in the depths of the Great Depression; follows these four friends and rivals through World War II and the dawn of the atomic era; and honors such exceptional women as Doña Campbell and Leslyn Heinlein, whose pivotal roles in the history of the genre have gone largely unacknowledged. For the first time, it reveals the startling extent of Campbell’s influence on the ideas that evolved into Scientology, which prompted Asimov to observe: “I knew Campbell and I knew Hubbard, and no movement can have two Messiahs.” It looks unsparingly at the tragic final act that estranged the others from Campbell, bringing the golden age of science fiction to a close, and it illuminates how their complicated legacy continues to shape the imaginations of millions and our vision of the future itself.
Before the Shattered Gates of Heaven Part 1: Trickster’s Pit (Shattered Gates #1 Part 1) – Bryan S. Glosemeyer
Deep in the subterranean Labyrinth of a cruel, alien world, a nameless girl has one chance to choose her fate, earn a name, and join the conquest of the stars:
Nine victories in the bloody fighting pits of the Divine Masters.
With eight kills behind her, she is one fight away from realizing her dreams. But what must be sacrificed, and what must she become, in order to survive the Trickster’s Pit?
Part 1: Trickster’s Pit is an action-packed novelette that introduces an exciting, new science fiction adventure through outer and inner space.
Daisy’s Run (The Clockwork Chimera #1) – Scott Baron
Life in deep space could be a drag sometimes, but Daisy supposed things could have been worse. They were still alive, after all, which was always a plus in her book. Now if only she could figure out who, or what, was endangering her return home, things would be just peachy.
With the powerful AI supercomputer guiding the craft beginning to show some disconcerting quirks of its own, and its unsettling cyborg assistant nosing into her affairs, Daisy’s unease was rapidly growing. Add to the mix a crew of mechanically-enhanced humans, any one of whom she suspected might not be what they seemed, and Daisy found herself with a sense of pending dread tickling the periphery of her mind.
Something was very much not right––she could feel it in her bones. The tricky part now was going to be figuring out what the threat was, before it could manifest from a mere sinking feeling in her gut into a potentially deadly reality.
Deception (Forgotten Colony #2) – M.R. Forbes
Somewhere in deep space, Caleb wakes from stasis, unprepared for what he discovers.
The Marines he was supposed to relieve are missing, something monstrous is roaming the corridors, the dead are rising, and the starship is inexplicably low on fuel.
Now Caleb is fighting time, desperate to find some way, any way, to overcome an impossible situation and get the colonists to their new home.
He’s also about to come to the most frightening realization of all:
They may have already arrived…
Dirty Deeds (The Omega War #6) – Mark Wandrey
Abraham Murdock left his home of Sheridan Arkansas at seventeen to start a merc career that spanned almost 50 years, working for dozens of companies, killing aliens and getting paid across the galaxy.
Near the end of his career, he landed a gig with Cartwright’s Cavaliers. The storied Four Horsemen unit was just coming back from near catastrophe, and the battle-proven Murdock was an ideal choice for their top sergeant. It would have been a perfect last contract, but then his dropship was destroyed in the Chimsa system, killing the flight crew and him.
Or did it?
Nobody was more surprised than Murdock when he found himself alive. After weeks of surviving in a failing CASPer, floating in space amid the ruins of dead starships, he was rescued by an alien salvage crew.
Deciding retirement was the right call, he headed to Valais, a beautiful aquatic paradise not unlike the South Pacific on Earth. Warm sun, sandy beaches—peace and quiet. That is, until the alien mercs arrived, and he suddenly found himself back in his old trade, and up to his ass in the Omega War. What good is a 70 year old merc in a star-spanning war?
Never trust an old man in a career where most die young. Murdock isn’t quite done…yet.
Embark – Jon Justice
In the not so distant future, flight culture has replaced car culture. Two of Earth’s largest corporations now supply the planet with the technology and fuel to make air and space flight available to everyone.
Taft Gaurdia spends his weekends at an abandoned flying field, racing through the skies with his three best friends and the girl he longs to be with, Kaytha Morrow. After receiving a mysterious message from her deceased NASA-scientist father, Kaytha and Taft make a shocking discovery.
With Earth now suddenly facing a great disaster, a ruthless and power hungry enemy emerges. Unwittingly, Taft, Kaytha and their friends are thrust into the middle of humanity’s fight for survival and future among the stars.
Emergence (First Colony #6) – Ken Lozito
As the colony grapples with the realization that New Earth is not as uninhabited as they’d once thought, tensions between the colonial settlements rise to new heights, and the Colonial Defense Force finds itself caught in the middle.
When Connor uncovers evidence of a militant colonial faction secretly exploiting the NEIIS, he has to investigate. Connor learns that some of the colonial settlements have been holding back discoveries of their own. He’d thought the NEIIS were a threat to the colony, but he was wrong. They all were, and the truth is beyond anything Connor could have imagined.
Meanwhile, Colonel Sean Quinn’s latest mission brings him off-world to investigate a previously discovered NEIIS settlement. When all communications from home go silent, he must return to New Earth to investigate. Cut off from everything, Sean must lead the crew of a CDF warship against a mysterious foe. Sean must forge a path into the unknown if he’s to have any hope of unraveling the mystery.
Hokas Pokas – Poul Anderson and Gordon R. Dickson
When a human thinks he’s Napoleon Bonaparte, it’s time to get out a straightjacket. But when a Hoka thinks he’s Napoleon Bonaparte, you’d better believe it! Particularly since there’ll be hundreds of other Hokas around who know for a fact that they’re the French Army, mon amis, even if they’re on another planet lightyears away from Earth, and the forces they’re facing aren’t the British but very nasty warlike aliens who by all reason should be expected to make mincemeat out of the Hokas.
But when it comes to Hokas, reason does not compute. These friendly, fuzzy aliens who resemble large teddy bears have a very vivid imagination and have never quite grasped the difference between human fiction and reality, or (in the present case), between past history and the much later and rather different present. Always bet on the Hokas. Even when a young lad and his Hoka tutor find themselves stuck on a planet where they seem to be scheduled to fulfill and ancient (and lethal!) prophesy that neither of them had ever heard of until now. Hokas as usual find that reality is merely optional and the good guys—and bears—always win, quicker than you can say HOKAS POKAS!
Old Enemy (The Survivors #6) – Nathan Hystad
Dean Parker has brought his wife home, and he’s looking forward to relaxing and having a future with his family on New Spero. The Iskios vortex is gone, vanquished by the Hero of Earth, but unforeseen enemies linger in the universe.
The Bhlat send a warning to the humans, one that suggests the Kraski may not all be dead. All signs point to Lom of Pleva, a wealthy and very dangerous enemy to have.
Dean must unite with the Bhlat to fight against a common adversary, but when push comes to shove, can he trust them?
Join Dean and the others as they seek to save themselves from the race of beings that beamed them off Earth years ago, setting everything in motion.
Who do you turn to when everyone is trying to kill you?
Pop Kult Warlord (Soda Pop Soldier #2) – Nick Cole
It’s way more than just a game!
PerfectQuestion is back! He’s running and gunning his way across an incredible civilization-building game set on Mars. But this time he’s employed as an online ringer for a corrupt dictatorship and trying to avoid getting “disappeared” in a reckless world of intrigue, epic parties, sports cars, and women who are as dangerous as they are beautiful.
Five million in gold says he can do it and put the next Sultan on the throne by leading a rag-tag clan of gaming jihadis to victory, but revolution and revolt are afoot. The long knives are out in Calistan for the hero of Soda Pop Soldier and anyone else who gets in a murderous prince’s way.
Renegade Children (Renegade Star #8) – J.N. Chaney
People are dying.
Shortly after Captain Jace Hughes and his team recover hundreds of surviving Eternal refugees, disaster strikes. A recently unearthed fauna dome, one of many biological arks on Earth, is destroyed and several people are killed.
All proof points to the Eternals.
Meanwhile, shortly after the slip tunnel at the center of the planet is shut down for good, a strange distress signal is detected. It appears to be coming from somewhere on the planet, but the exact coordinates are unknown.
Two investigations are launched. One for the saboteur; the other for the source of the signal. With rising tensions between the colonists and the Eternals, Jace must do everything he can to prevent a bloody confrontation.
Spartan Valor (Spartan Company #2) – Toby Neighbors
Only the strong survive on the hostile planet of Apex Venandi. Space Marine Orion Porter is stranded with his Master Sergeant “Money” Eubanks and the injured Staff Sergeant Barnes. Surrounded by hostile natives, and running out of resources, their only hope is the return of the Fleet. Their call for help was beamed into space, but no reply has come. For the foreseeable future, the only help they can count on is themselves.
Apex Venandi holds an invaluable resource. Ignatius Xelum is an ultra rare element needed to power intergalactic star ships. Humanity’s fleet is dependent on IX gas, but mining it on a world filled with five intelligent species who are constantly at war with one another may be too a great a challenge, even for the vaunted Space Marines.
Thin Air – Richard K. Morgan
On a Mars where ruthless corporate interests violently collide with a homegrown independence movement as Earth-based overlords battle for profits and power, Hakan Veil is an ex–professional enforcer equipped with military-grade body tech that’s made him a human killing machine. But he’s had enough of the turbulent red planet, and all he wants is a ticket back home—which is just what he’s offered by the Earth Oversight organization, in exchange for being the bodyguard for an EO investigator. It’s a beyond-easy gig for a heavy hitter like Veil . . . until it isn’t.
When Veil’s charge, Madison Madekwe, starts looking into the mysterious disappearance of a lottery winner, she stirs up a hornet’s nest of intrigue and murder. And the deeper Veil is drawn into the dangerous game being played, the more long-buried secrets claw their way to the Martian surface. Now it’s the expert assassin on the wrong end of a lethal weapon—as Veil stands targeted by powerful enemies hellbent on taking him down, by any means necessary.
The Titan Probe (Ice Moon #2) – Brandon Q. Morris
In 2005, the robotic probe “Huygens” lands on Saturn’s moon Titan. 40 years later, a radio telescope receives signals from the far away moon that can only come from the long forgotten lander. At the same time, an expedition returns from neighbouring moon Enceladus. The crew lands on Titan and finds a dangerous secret that risks their return to Earth. Meanwhile, on Enceladus a deathly race has started that nobody thought was possible. And its outcome can only be decided by the astronauts that are stuck on Titan.
Warning: Spoilers below for those who play Ikemen Vampire, esp. Napoleon’s route. Isaac looks good with the background colours. This guy actually reminds me of Ieyasu. He’s a bit aloof towards the MC yet he’s gentle with her. So this scene, Isaac was going somewhere and he took MC with him. They went to a not so popular street in France where Napoleon was teaching kids how to use a sword. When MC voiced out her concern on how the kids were using a real sword, Isaac replied that it wasn’t a real one. He then proceeded to explain that in 19th century France, education is not compulsory so Napoleon teaches the kids how to survive. Even Isaac was roped into teaching them. He teaches them Physics, his specialty (of course). They were then interrupted when Napoleon finally noticed them. The kids immediately gathered around Isaac, who looked a bit lost on what to do with them, which made the MC (and me lol) smile. Napoleon then asked MC what she was doing there and MC told him that Isaac invited her along to see Napoleon. Napoleon could only say, “That guy” before one kid approached them and asked if MC was Napoleon’s girlfriend. It was a pretty cliche scene, but I am a big fan of cliche so no harm done. Lol. MC was surprised, as expected. She began to stutter a response but Napoleon beat her to it by saying, “This girl is my lover.” AHHHHHHH FUCKR. Y U NO WARN ME. Σ(///□///) P.S. I was so eager to find out the next scene I didn’t realise I ran out of tickets and used up ¾ of my diamonds. Fuuuuuuuー diamonds equal to coins (or so I think) in the game. You can buy premium attire and gacha special events stuff with diamonds. The nice thing tho is that they give you diamonds randomly in the daily login bonus. I just received 100 diamonds today (w/c I unknowingly used up immediately tsk). Sorry if this isn’t Midnight Cinderella. I just like this game so much I need somewhere to rant. My main blog is concentrated on Haikyuu!! and its stage play as of the moment so all otome-related stuff goes here. (*´▽`*) I can’t place this under cut as well since I’m always on mobile. _(:3 」∠)_
