I mean it's 11:30pm. It's still Wednesday. Uuuuhh, this is a 5+1 I'm working on. I live in El Paso so Eddie being from El Paso means a lot to me, so this is a bit that includes a little saying that my grandparents always said to me when I got a minor boo boo.

This is my first Buddie fic, despite being a fan of the show for a few years now. Alas, here we go....

“Ow!” she says. “It’s hot!” Eddie laughs and takes her hand in his. In the light, he can see it wasn’t even a burn. Still he held her hand and starts to sing. “Sana sana, colita de rana,” he rubs the tip of her finger with his. “Si no sanas hoy, sarañas mañana.” He brings up her finger and pecks a soft kiss onto it.  When he looks up, Shannon is blushing.  He drops her hand, “sorry.” “No, that was… sweet,” She takes her hand back and holds it close to her chest. Eddie back away and moves to lean on one of the poles that’s holding the lights up. “What does it mean?” She asks as she takes the spot on the other side of the pole.  “Um, it’s a nursery rhyme. It’s like umm, kiss kiss make it better. It’s just something you say when someone gets hurt.” “Okay, but what does it mean?” “It’s silly,” Eddie says, looking away. “It doesn’t really translate well.” “Oh,” Shannon says, “Is it like… bad?” “No! It’s just—” he pauses, “it means you’re healthy, you’re healthy, little frog butt. If you’re not healthy today, you’ll be healthy tomorrow.” “Little frog butt?!” Shannon says with a laugh.  “It rhymes in spanish!” Eddie says, her laugh infecting him.

- As someone with new access to psychiatrists and medications, I am still trying to figure out just what exactly affects us. It is important to note that the i take BPD and Depression meds and as well am on a list for possible ADHD and Autism. Mood outbursts and unintentional blindness to how I speak is bound to happen and not intentional. Please, let me know if I accidentally say something hurtful.

A fanfic of SSKK high-school AU. English isnt my mother tounge nor I'm good at it so I'm sorry if there's any mistake and as I post this I just realised there are so many unnecessary words here but I hope someone will enjoy it regardless.

Chapther one

I hate the sun.

Akutagawa thought to himself as his sister,Gin pushes the curtains aside. She opened the window letting air inside of the room. Akutagawa sighs to himself as the sun shines on his pale skin,he kicks the blanket aside then sits up. "Good morning" akutagawa spoke up his tired gaze averted to his sister who was already dressed up in her school uniform, she gave him a nod of acknowledgement "good morning, brother. I'll get going first I've already made breakfast it's on the kitchen counter. Akutagawa nods taking that information in "thank you and be careful while you're on your way to school" Gin nods then head out. Akutagawa sighs again then lay down on the bed, his head hits the pillow wanting to linger on his bed just for a few more moments before getting up to head to school. Akutagawa then suddenly groans "this is pathetic, I should head to school now..I don't want to be late anyways.." Akutagawa thought to himself as he got out of bed.

Akutagawa was leaning on the kitchen counter as he ate the breakfast made by his dear sister which is a peanut butter sandwich, it was better than nothing. As akutagawa ate in the kitchen he noticed a book resting on the desk. "Ah..right..I forgot I have to return the book today" he swallowed the last bite of the sandwich, he turns on the sink beside him and washes his hands then closes it off he wipes his hands on a towel making sure his hands were dry. He walked over to the desk then picked up the book he glanced at not too long ago, he enjoyed the book sometimes he'll even borrow the book again from the school's library just to read it again since he didn't want to waste his money purchasing it. The book called "the setting sun" by Osamu Dazai, coincidentally Dazai went to the same school as him and he's older than him by a few years. They were detention buddies for a year before the senior stopped being a ruckus. He thought about the interactions they shared, Dazai was really just criticising his writings whenever he wrote, saying "the format is weird, the starting is too exaggerated" and many more criticisms. Akutagawa didn't understand what was wrong with it, he couldn't figure it out, he thought Dazai was just being unreasonable with his insults.Even though he felt that way, he still misses having conversation with the brown haired senior. He wanted to be noticed by him, he wanted his approval for his writings.

Later in school, Akutagawa headed to the library first he went to return the book then he walked to a specific section in the library then started to look around for a book to read, he grabbed a book with a yellow cover. "Huh?" He muttered ,Akutagawa pulled the book but it didn't budge he tugs on it again but it still didn't budge. "What the.." a voice came out from the other side, Akutagawa immediately realised who the timid voice belonged to, Weretiger...his expression changed to annoyance and jealousy then he let go of the book causing the other to fall on the floor. A thud from the other side could be heard then a painful groan. "are you alright, atsushi?" a feminine voice worriedly asked "i'm fine kyouka, no need to worry" Akutagawa could hear the other standing up and brushing his clothes, the black hair boy could already imagine the whole scenario without watching it happening Akutagawa expression darkened as he thought of the timid boy smiling and chuckling nervously with a blush of embarrassment to the young girl. Akutagawa tsked then walked to the other sections of the library to avoid contact with them.

the library tables were quite long and there was only 5 tables in the middle of the library but it could fit a whole classroom of students. Akutagawa sat at the fourth table which was near to the wall, he flipped to the first page of the book there weren't many students so it was quite comfortable until..the weretiger sat at the same table he was sitting at but just at the opposite direction and 5 chairs away from him. Akutagawa tried not to look irritated, he bit his tongue struggling to hold back a sigh or a groan. he looked up from the book that he was reading and secretly glanced at the other, the timid boy always had a smile on even when the petite girl Kyouka explained a book she had read not to long ago. Akutagawa felt suffocated just by the other presscene, the more he thought about how much he hated the timid boy the more he felt irritated by him.Akutagawa looked at the clock on the wall and decided to just head to class.

Akutagawa was the first one in class, he sat at his spot which was beside the window, he waited for the class to start as he stared out the window to observe the scenery outside. There were some students walking in the school and there were some which were hanging out by the gates of the school. Akutagawa looked around carefully and spotted Dazai with the four eyes which his expression brightened. Dazai was messing around with kunikida per usual and he had his signature smirk as always while the letter Kunikida was fuming in flames as he shouted at him while holding a green notebook with the word "ideals" on it. As he observed, one by one his classmates were already coming to class waiting for the class to start as well."Hey Akutagawa, what are you looking at?" a voice came from besides him, Akutagawa was surprised but he didn't show any indication of it. he knew who it was..weretiger, he frowned not even glancing at the letter "fine" bluntly said the boy. Atsushi sat down next to him, he felt the letter's gaze an him but when he glances at the timid boy he has already looked away. Atsushi nervously glances at the other for a couple of time then thought "have i done something wrong to him? why is he always upset whenever i talk with him.." the question has always appeared in his head but he can't seem to find the answer, it was rumored that Akutagawa has a bad attitude and he always starts fights with others, sure he might be intimidating but he can't be that bad right? "maybe he doesn't like talking to others?" Atsushi thought again but he decided to stop for now or else his brain will start to melt into puddles.

As the bell rang, A man with blond braided hair, grey-ish blue eyes, wearing all black except for the light brown jacket. walked in the classroom perfectly on time to start his history lesson, Mr Verlaine. He smiles as he walked in class elegantly. "good morning class" he spoke with a french accent in his voice. Every single student stood up and bowed as they spoke accordingly "good morning, teacher Verlaine". Verlaine gesture all of them to sit down then he started to teach the class, atsushi spaced out as mr Verlaine teaches when it was almost at the end of the class Verlaine abruptly mention something that caught my attention "there will be a project for this section i just taught, you guys have to choose a classmate to be partners with and i'll give you guys 2 minutes to choose your own partners." Verlaine said with a smile. Atsushi blinks twice and started to look around the room then thought "i could use this opportunity to get to know Akutagawa better" his expression brightened. Akutagawa noticed the other's expression and held back a sour expression, he would rather jump off the window besides him then have to see his face ever again. Akutagawa was just waiting until the teacher paired him up with another student that doesn't have a partner as well because he didn't want to put in the effort of looking for one ,besides why would anyone want to pair up with him anyways his pessimistic mindset thought, Akutagawa glances at the timid kid besides him noticing he was politely declining people's request to partner with him it caused him to raise one eyebrow "wow, that's the most emotion he has shown so far" Atsushi thought to himself as he looked at him with his peripheral vision.

My thoughts

9/10, definitely much better than the second one. Too much abelistic pity, though, so a point removed. I don't have any complaints for this book aside from that, really. Spottedleaf was mildly less prevelant this time, which is good. Tigerclaw's evil reveal and exit were cool, and silverstream's death hurt me way more than i thought it would. Overall, good.

ok obligatory about me section time. i'm a trophy wife who has been doing creative writing since i learned the alphabet. my husband is navy and so its always an adventure. i have a bachelors degree in communications and have lots of experience with nonprofits and marketing! i have a doggo and 2 lovely sphynx cats and i am currently in a musical for the month of august! i am a huge nerd and although i have a lot of life changes coming up, i am hoping to balance out that stress with some awesome writing friends and stories! i'm mentally ill but who isnt and i'm an introverted extrovert, i would say.

what does writing with me look like?

first off, if you aren't open to OOC chatter then i'm probably not for you. i'm sure you're awesome but i am a very loving and excitable person who will want to fangirl and share inspo and get to you know as a buddy! the best part of writing collaboratively is the collaboration part for me so i love to plot, headcanon, and overall just go back and forth! 

reply speed: multiple a day/one a day/multiple a week (AKA it all depends)

average post length: semi-literate to novella, anywhere from 2-5+ paragraphs per post, scene-dependent but the more the better!

writing wise, i write third person, past tense and i'm mostly looking for m/m and m/f pairings. i love tropes and angst and drama. romance is a must but i also love adventure and building a fantastic story! i don't write characters that are labeled 'top/bottom' or anything like that, i much prefer to create charas for the story and explore all kinds of connections! i use realistic FCs or realistic art FCs in specific settings

genre-wise, i write slice of life/realistic, supernatural (vampires & werewolves), horror/thriller (think It or Stranger Things vibes), historical fiction, apocalypse/dystopia, sci-fi, and fantasy can be discussed as well but it's my least faves!

fandom-wise, i will write OCs in a fandom universe (unless its ron weasley, i will canon ron for you pshhhh). fandoms i know enough to write in would be harry potter, stranger things, it/stephen king, lord of the rings, maze runner, hunger games... yeah. that might be it? idk. you can always ask

triggers: i don't have many, but i try to avoid writing as/against furry, non-humanoid characters, ERP, non-cis characters (i don't have experience to respectfully write this), doubling, and poly relationships

kinks/limits: i prefer NSFW to only really take up 30% or less of a story, but i'm not against smut. i am fine to keep things vanilla or talk about preferences in DMs! i'm also fine to FTB. the most important thing is the story and characters to me

i want nutty's weapon to be a crook/cane that looks like a candy cane. its why hed be a white mage if he was in ffxiv au. one white mage eats the weapon the other forgets to heal and beats the shit outta the enemies with the weapon nutty will be the 6th magical warrior probably. favoritism.

ffxiv au shifty has a list of people he hates. starts with silvaire. zenos is crossed out when he dies. then he adds 'nvm hes back' and then crosses that out and adds 'nvm nvm hes dead again' after endwalker. emet-sekch and fandaniel are probably on it too. silvaire is the only one that remains uncrossed out. bakool ja ja gets crossed out with 'hes not dead we just kinda gave him a second chance ig'

would it be funny if in ffxiv someone said 'the twins' but did not specify lifty and shifty or alphinaud and alisae and no nvm its not funny

theres a lot like a Lot of instances where Kel is hinted at being the lesser sibling and just the least important out of his friend group and its only really stated in an obvious kinda way once n like. he seems totally fine most of the time and he doesnt seem down often or for long at all in unrelated moments but for these he doesnt seem to even acknowledge it. and of course the others dont seem to think of him as less important which is Good but does he like. have a problem with this. i wanna say hes hiding it but i dont Know bc hes fucking good at it. i might make a whole post on this later actually

seeing Hero cry hurt more than i thought it would and seeing him jump right back to smiling seconds later every time made it Worse. its the older sibling thing

one detail i really like is that while some of the scenes are meant to be funny to the audience, Hero's fear of spiders isnt usually made fun of (the only time i can remember is when Mari apparently snuck bugs into his desk to see his reaction lmao). otherwise hes taken seriously and the others try to push him to overcome it someday, not Now but its something he should work on himself. and the bit w Kel removing a spider from their room, all while saying what hes doing exactly and reassuring Hero that the spider was gone, was a sweet thing to see compared to all the other media where siblings would throw it at the other or something yknow its just nice

(i gave my generic sunshine lucia’s job too (art student) & gave darlin my ivy reintegrating into shaw security agenda. i’ve held off on the others but i’m sure it won’t be long lmao; emery was a barista/retail jack-of-all trades, olly was a bartender, hazel works at vesta, aster is a librarian, & the others have their canon jobs but i made clover Specifically a translator.)

anyway but. jessa. she’s not full certified, she doesn’t want to work for the gov’t, she wants to be a professor/researcher. she specializes in illusion magic & has a minor in healing because wouldnt it be Morally Correct to learn to heal if you have that capability, but it’s not her passion. her passion is in illusions used for non-ward purposes like glamours & theater backdrops & etc, and on multi-sense illusions (so like a dreamscape in real life, essentially, which is Hypothetically Possible). to what extent does an illusion you can feel differ from actual shapeshifting? this kind of thing etc.

like i said already jessa teaches; she teaches some beginner illusory magic classes as well as a section of the intro course like lasko. she is friends with lasko actually; she finds him to be intelligent and kind and generally endearing; she has a lot of patience with him that she wouldn’t necessarily afford others in his position and in turn he finds her super cool but she intimidates the fuck out of him lmao

of course it isnt like it’s too difficult to intimidate lasko, but he has reason here. jessa can be Intense. she is autistic & she has a usually flat affect that can come across a little angry & she talks very carefully and precisely (if she doesn’t it all comes out very fast and jumbled, so if she’s talking about something she loves without pre-planning like she would for a lecture she’ll get all mixed up, or if she’s having an argument or something) and asks a Lot Of Questions so it can be kind of A Lot (lovingly) to talk to her if you dont know her well. she’s also a very thorough listener & has like a metal trap brain. if you told someone else a year ago your favorite dessert was mint ice cream while she was in the room and listening, she still knows that and will (think to) buy you it on your birthday

jessa and emery know each other as well, through lasko. emery took the same healing classes with her and so when emery is doing that Inadvisable classload involving advanced healing immediately, lasko asks her to help him and she does her best, acting as a study buddy & interventionist from time to time. her help really helped em get through that nightmare semester and they keep in touch with her afterwards too. they get coffee together a lot and jessa complains to him about the administration while emery plots to introduce her to damien

jessa is a good teacher, and it’s something she likes to do; this is one of the primary bonding points between her and avior, talking about their various students and about the ways in which their two teaching jobs are wildly different. he wants to introduce her to the demons he shepherded when they get out since she’s heard so much about them, even though jessa & eridanus will be an chaotic disaster of a relationship being the 20 questions machines they are. they are going to infodump back and forth for hours and he is going to sit there and watch them with heart eyes

He was given a copy of the seating chart, along with everyone else. He gasped lightly when he saw where his name was. It was in the very very back, right next to the bathroom. That wasn't the worst part, though. The worst part is who his seatmate was.

Sitting with Logan Berry. On a bus. For two fucking hours. No way, he had to be having a nightmare. He could not sit with his long-time crush. Absolutely not.

"Mr. Thomas?" Virgil said, trying to hide the hint of nervousness in his voice. But.. what if.. What if he likes me too? "Virgil? You ok buddy?" Mr. Thomas said, looking up from his laptop. "Y-yeah, i just.. I just wanted to know i-if i could change m-my seatmate?" dont be silly. I'm sure he hates you. "Ah, sorry kiddo. The staff arranged this chart, i can't change it."

"Hello, Virgil. My name is Logan. Were you okay back there?"

The rest of the busride was spent in silence, except for the few times Virgil would giggle at hearing other people's conversations or when some of his classmates yelled something stupid.

Other than that, time had gone by slowly. He'd wished for something to distract him or something to pass the time. Or maybe something that would slow his heartbeat a bit and tell him that he didn't need to breathe perfectly to make Logan not hate him. And, yeah, he ended up getting what he wished for, but he would have rather gotten it in a more subtle way.

There was a heavy weight on his right arm suddenly. Okay, not too weird. I'm sure this happens all the time. But no, it really didn't. There isn't normally an adorable nerd sleeping on you with his hair a little messy and his glasses crooked. No, not at all. But he was, in fact, adorable.

Virgil and Logan walked together in the line until they got inside, and everyone scattered in different directions, changing pairs and forming groups. Maybe I could try and do that?

"Where would you like to go first?" Logan said, looking towards Virgil. The sunlight from the windows shone his eyes perfectly, making his iris's appear a deep, dark blue.

"Virgil?"

"O-oh, yeah?"

"Where would you like to go first?"

"I heard there was a-a really g-good view on th-the third flo-or.. so we could start here and end there" while they were walking, Virgil couldn't stop thinking of the possibilities of what could happen while they were on the third floor. Was there even a third floor? He couldn't remember. The last time he was here, he was just 6 years old.

A sudden, loud noise made Virgil freak out, grabbing for the nearest thing to him, which happened to be Logan. After a second of processing recent events, he realized the loud noise was a boom of thunder, and that he was side-hugging Logan way too tightly. He immediately let go, feeling terrible.

"The lightning will not harm you. It was approximately over 30 miles away. You do not have anything to worry about." Logan said, looking at Virgil with an oddly vulnerable expression.

"Yeah.. yeah, you're right. I'm being ridiculous."

"You are not. It's okay to fear thunderstorms. Many people do. There is actually a phobia of it, called many things but the most common is astraphobia," Logan went on about phobias and how stupid the name of Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (the fear of long words) was. The way he'd ramble was especially adorable. How he got mad at some things, and excited at others. His eyes would shine and he'd have that soft smile an-

Virgil was pretty sure he screamed, but he wasn't really sure. He was also pretty sure he was hugging Logan again. But he still wasn't sure. He was pretty sure he was crying, too. But y'know. Not really. He was very sure that he felt secure arms wrap around him as he was being carried. He was sure he felt eyes staring at him like he was a train wreck, which, he probably was.

"Hey, hey, it's fine. You're okay" Logan said in a soft, echoing voice. He realized they were in the restrooms- probably to get away from everyone else. Virgil thanked him for that.

"Virgil? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm good..." Virgil breathed in, letting out a shakey breath. He took a few napkins and wiped his eyes. "I-I'm sorry"

"What for?"

"For overreacting. For causing a scene. For everything I guess"

"Virgil, there is nothing to be sorry for. I love y- you did nothing wrong."

"You.. you what?"

"Nothing."

"You love me?" Virgil asked, ignoring what Logan told him

"Yes. It is now 12pm, we mus- MPHH" Virgil couldn't believe himself. I did that. HolY FUCK I DID THAT. A pair of arms hugged Virgil's waist, making him silently freak out. He hugged back, trying to control his heartbeat and blush.

They pulled away, seeing Logan blush was probably the cutest thing Virgil has seen in his life. "I-it is.. th-that, that was.. anyway, w-we still have time left. What do you want to do?"

Virgil held Logan's hand, putting on a soft but smug smile. "Anything you want, my love"

sorry to bother you but uhh, i'm someone who regularly does bnha headcanons and i take requests, but recently i've gotten one for trans bakugo headcanons. i'm not trans, so i thought i should ask around and find out from a bunch of trans people whether or not to do the request, and things to avoid if i actually do them. you don't have to respond. i'm just trying to be cautious since i'm cis, but i really don't want to do something wrong without realizing it.

im gonna like, try to give the best answer i can with such a vague ask, but if you want more clarifications on things dming a trans boy whos up for it would be best, my mains dms are always open (i cant guarantee how fast ill respond though)

this ended up being longer then i intended cos i just kinda went off on things but, i hope its helpful

trans bakugou is my jam man, there are definitely ways to portray it wrong (such as the ppl who heavily fetishize/sexualize him) but the headcanon itself is fine. like while i definitely side eye cis ppl who jump to him for their trans headcanon (as hes violent and has a history of being a bully), its fine and basically all my other trans buddies love trans bakugou (well, trans boy bakugou, dont even dare do trans girl bakugou for the love of god. since youre asking abt transcanons, while youre here ill just say this: dont hc canon boys as trans girls and dont hc canon girls as trans boys, unless many trans girls or trans boys themselves have rallied around those respected hcs)

cis people making transcanons is fine- it helps in normalizing us, however when it comes to being cis and making trans headcanons, just know that your trans headcanons should not center around the character being constantly ashamed and in agony over things like their dysphoria (not all trans people have physical dysphoria) or their general transness; rather focus on their gender euphoria of how right it feels for them to be trans. it shouldnt all hinge and focus on their body. of course, hcing a character as trans and with dysphoria is fine, but dont make that the center of their trans experience. that seems to be what cis ppl take most from our lives when thats really only a section of it for those of us who have bodily dysphoria. but there are trans boys who dont bind- hell there are those you CANT bind, and if you want to discuss those kinda hcs, actually like dming a trans boy would be best. 

most likely youll say something that makes a trans person uncomfortable or something bad because you dont fully understand us and just learn from those experiences. really the most important thing is listen to trans people if theyre telling you youre doing or saying something transphobic. if a trans person is saying smth you did or said is transphobic, dont take it as an insult, rather a “oh shit, what did i do wrong and what can i do to be a better ally?”

just talking to trans ppl abt these things through dms would be fine, and i bet talking to them you would learn more than you thought. like- one of the ways i project my transness onto specifically bakugou is how he wears primarily black clothes like i do, and thats how i hide my curves. lots of cis people wouldnt even think of that but its just small things like that that can go into a persons or characters transness. our daily way of living and our relationship with gender is varied and complicated. some people know from when they are young they are trans, some people dont figure it out and begin transition until well into adulthood- ive heard of people above 50 coming out and beginning transition. some trans boys love embracing masculinity to the best of their ability, and some still like wearing skirts and dresses. there isnt one true trans experience and all of them deserved to be portrayed with the utmost respect.

but something basically we’re all sick of: the whole “looking into the mirror and seeing ourself with the WRONG BODY!” trope. lots of us dont identify with that for many reasons. some feel a total disconnect to their body, some embrace their body for what it is, some see the beauty in what they can change in it. just DONT do the thing where they look in the mirror and are like “im really a girl :(” cause really like, personally for example, yeah i get discouraged when i see myself but not because i “look like a girl” but because im PERCEIVED by society as a girl. i fully see myself as a dude with who i am and really most elements of my physical transition can be attributed to survival and passing. lots of the things we end up doing are just so we can survive. this trope really just shows how cis people see our experience, its dumbed down and way to simplified to the point where it loses most if not all connection to trans folk themselves.

this has kinda gone into a long tangent and idk where else to go but. yeah. you can make transcanons, thats completely fine. i think the most important question you could ask yourself is why you see certain characters as trans, such as if any stereotypes are effecting your headcanons. making trans headcanons themselves is fine, trans bakugou is fine.

honestly, i want to start roleplaying in the ff14 community but i have no idea where to start. my server isnt very active in terms of roleplay and i dont know where to start on tumblr. i also have no idea about roleplay servers on discord. im nervous as all hell to start but i WANT to im itching to throw myself into roleplay but i have no idea where to start.

Most of my advice will be kind of Balmung-centric simply because I’m on Balmung and don’t really know the specifics for other servers.

FFXIV Servers

I’m intensely biased in that I’d recommend either Balmung or Mateus as those are the two servers I know have the biggest RP communities around them.  While smaller RP communities can be nice in their own way, I feel like bigger ones give you more opportunities to explore and peek at different groups until you find the gang that is right for you.  With smaller ones it’s a lot easier to find yourself an outcast as with the smaller pool of RPers - the gang that’s right for you might not exist.

I used to be part of a much smaller server community in WoW and I didn’t really realise what I was missing until I went to other MMOs where I joined the ‘main’ RP server the most folks were clustering up in.  

Joining an FC or a Linkshell is usually my personal first step when I first join a server community.  Trying to tackle an entire massive community alone i daunting.  Focusing on a smaller piece of it first and having that ‘foundation’ of a group of RPers that will hopefully feel compelled to RP with me makes breaking into the rest of the community at large feel a lot easier and less scary.

@mooglemeet and @balmungrp (if you pick Balmung) are also great places to look for LFRP blogs of other folks and poke folks you find interesting.

@mateusrpcalendar and @balmungrpcalendar lists lots of RP events to attend for their respective servers.   Just be aware that events with MASSIVE chat scroll are usually some of the worst possible places to make new friends as everyone has an insanely hard time dealing with the sheer amount of text and might not always see someone is trying to interact with them.

Tumblr

My advice would be to make a character blog, clearly label it with your character name, server, and maybe even a quick blurb about your character to catch someone’s interest on what sort of character they might be. Find a theme that you like to slap on it and then just follow all the FFXIV RP blogs you like.  Interact with them, send them asks, comment on their posts.

I find that a lot of the time, the more I recognize a tumblr user from constant interaction, the more likely I am to get curious about them, buddy up with them, and say hello in game when I run into them.  You can also create a LFRP post and slap it up with tags so it might get picked up by the mooglemeet and balmungrp blogs.

The unfortunate, frustrating thing about Tumblr is that it’s social media, outside of just interacting with folks, you’re might to have to do the usual social media stuff just to get noticed by people.  Posts with eye-catching visuals or memes tend to get more notes then writing. It’s weird and unfortunate for a bunch of folks who write as a hobby, but good to keep in mind so you don’t associate a lack of notes or followers with whether or not your RP is of quality.

If you feel way more comfortable chatting on forums - https://ffxiv-roleplayers.com is a great option and a good alternative to just using Tumblr.  It also has a section for various FCs and Linkshells that might be of interest to you.  You can also create a character wiki which is nice for having a consolidated place to store all your character info (but can sort of be hard to keep up with :V)

Discord

To be honest, most of my discord servers are either FC related, linkshell related, or personal servers of friends.  It’s only been very recently that I’ve joined RP servers full of people with likeminded interests like the Ala Mhigans of Balmung server.

I’m honestly not always sure where to find them myself. I got told about them by friends who knew I would like it.  That said, if you pick Balmung here is a handy post of a lot of RP Discords, though I’m sure there are plenty of others that are floating around on Tumblr that I’m not aware of (I think I saw a Doman/Hingan one on a post somewhere?)

anyway i agree that ultimately what people are doing is making. headcanons. ive always agreed w this fact? this is a thing i continually say?? its why im not out there to Objectively Prove that jonghyun is gay or bi or whatever. the reason people respond to statements like ‘no jonghyun is not gay hes a straightie hetero’ with ‘no ur wrong’ bc the first statement is one that is Constantly enforced by society and it just functions as a way 2 shut down queer voices and reassert the heterosexual default present Everywhere. society treats straight as the absolute default. this is why straight “Headcanons” arent treated as well lmao... headcanons. theres rly no reason for anyone out there 2 headcanon something as straight?? when its the Assumed Sexuality in every situation?? tbh the only reason ppl are interested in doing that is Denying that idols might not be straight. doing this when ppl are Forced 2 be straight is gross. theres a difference between queer ppl saying Hey, remember not all idols are straight so lets talk about that and straight ppl being all No! ur wrong! he cant be anything but straight so shut up! these two things are coming from different perspectives. 

like. imagine a pie being sliced up. historically, a 100% of this pie has been given to straight people. when queer ppl speak up, theyre trying to take some of their fair share of this pie. saying Hey, queer ppl exist!! is trying to section urself out a piece of the pie when youve been given none. someone saying Nope!! theyre all definitely straight is stealing back the measly slices someone has Actively Fought to obtain and attempting to perpetuate this imbalance. 

im not rly here for ppl painting shinee as lgbt icons. ive expressed how annoying i find statements like ‘king of the gays’ or whatever to be. but also just. saying that anyone in shinee might be lgbtq is not painting them as an lgbtq icon?? its just stating a fact?? esp since a lot of the King of The Gays ! stuff seems to come from ppl who position him as a Amazing Cishet Ally so. idek buddy i feel like youve got to further think through some of your positions bc some seem to be in direct conflict with others.
