Started reading “hey now, you're an all star (get your game on, go play)” by @buckyismybicycle while it was ongoing because even though I was 1) completely uninterested in hockey and 2) also uninterested in Stucky as a ship, this specific author’s works have always been phenomenal and with each new chapter email I started getting more and more intrigued until I eventually gave in and started reading it (literally so worth it everyone should read it). In the end notes of each chapter, HR (the author) would add some fun facts and extra context for the hockey related stuff (considering it’s a whole hockey AU) that made me go “huh that sounds fun” more than once but I was still not super into the hockey thing.

Until. 

I reached the chapter with a beautifully written match and I was like???? Is hockey like this irl?????????? This sounds so good?????????? Cue YouTube hacking into my brain and suggesting me hockey compilations which included the infamous Lick. I saw this random man just being a menace to everyone and decided he is now the love of my life.  (i usually omit the stucky fic part bc ppl have opinions about marvel that i do not want to hear lol. so if i told you abt this before without the full context i'm sorry!!)

How I would change the final season.

These are my own personal opinions on how season four of hsmtmts should’ve played out. Some will be big. Some will be small. But most will probably be extraordinarily petty. As such. I am much more than aware that some of you may disagree with me. So if you do. Please, for your sake and mine, keep it to yourself. Now. Let’s begin.

No Quinn. I’d have brought Kenny Ortega back. Because at least Kenny Ortega would’ve understood that he was making a Disney movie and not whatever the fuck that Quinn thought that she was making. And seriously? High school musical without Kenny Ortega? What was Ferdele thinking?!?!

NO GODDAMN CHEATING PLOT POINT!!!! At best. I’d have had Big Red and Seb having a bit of a wobble, but NOT kiss, while watching Brokeback Mountain. Seb would still probably call it cheating because, well, he’s like Gil Legume, sweet and innocent. Big Red can still have his realisation. Just without doing two of the best characters a massive disservice.

Keep redlyn canon endgame. I have never liked this weird thing shows have going on where a couple that works HAS to break up when one or both of them realise that they’re bisexual. I’d keep Ashlyn’s crush on Val and Maddox. But I’d keep it as a crush. No break up. No cheating. Keep my favourite season one ships endgame.

Rina being public throughout. Like yeah, I get that it was necessary because Terri said “no boys” etc etc. BUT. Terri was quick to change her tune when she thought Gina still had a crush on Mack. And I didn’t like that about her. So I’d have made rina public throughout the season. Maybe then Terri would change her tune earlier than she did.

More Mr Mazzara. He balances out Jenn’s insanity. Sometimes yin and yang are needed. And this is definitely one of those cases.

I may hate Danforth with all the power of the sun. But I would’ve included the boys are back in full because Jet has a good singing voice

I would’ve had Emmy interact with people more. Sometimes the creepiness is fun.

More Lucas Grabeel. Even if only to reference Jenn’s season one fantasy sequence.

Hi uhm sorry like I just needed to ask this, and I'm trying to phrase this in the most respectful way possible and I'm ok if you don't answer this I understand that everyone has different beliefs.

Why do you support pro-shippers/ping when Erik already said not to?

I get if you don't want to answer this and it sounds really rude but I tried asking this in the least rude way I can because I really want to hear someone's opinion about this that isn't from the anti side of the community.

You know, I can respect you for actually asking why I have my stance on this and it's really just simple:

I just wanna let people do what they want.

That's all I really stand for under most of this. The right to creating the content you want without being metaphorically hung for it. Frankly, I don't actually care about shipping Caelum with anyone because like a lot of people, I don't want to, but that ties back to my intrinsic choice to not want to create something, which is a choice that shouldn't be restricted.

Let's also not forget that Erik has also created darker content and pumped fuel into themes that most people wouldn't consider appropriate, however that was his right to do so and he didn't hurt anyone in doing that so I believe everyone should have this right so long as it's not outwardly doing any harm to another person to do that (I also remind people that you have the choice to simply avoid content you don't want to see and you looking at content after knowing you may not like it is on you rather than the person who made it).

It's kinda like the arguement of videogames making kids violent/disturbed. We all know that's not truly the truth of the matter as videogames can be used as conduits to channel aggression or competitiveness and tackle darker themes in fiction to allow the player to truly understand the depth of the game's main idea/story. Would you then go to the lengths of saying all videogames containing fictional violence/disturbing content should be removed?

If so then you can kiss a lot of good games goodbye with strong message, incredible storytelling and lovely gameplay goodbye.

You could argue to completely remove only videogames with dark themes in fiction, but then where does that end? A fictional character hits another in a game, does that get removed? If you keep that around, by that logic, are you not supporting violence? Did seeing that fictional violence make you wanna hit someone too?

Between you and me–and well anyone who sees this, I know of some people who's made particularly dark Quinn/Darlin content or Ivan content, but you don't see me calling for their heads. I don't care, you do you boo because it's fiction.

I completely respect anyone who doesn't like the idea of it and that's cool but to me, really this "pro-shipping" and "anti" stuff is inconsequential to me because at the end of the day, I'm going to get up, go to work, come home and listen to the newest redacted vid that comes out as I pay for his patreon.

In the end, sort and filter as well as the block button are your best friends and unless something is actually hurting someone then why should I care about it? I understand that other people are acting out of the need to create a safe space or to keep others safe but we can do that without acting like puritanical zealots.

The world isn't black and white and you can choose to how to navigate it, if another real person isn't hurting someone then so can they.

Hehehe I won't lie I like writing NSFW, especially romantic ones. However I also have fun with slices of life, especially to make characters bond, and it is fun to have them change opinion as much good as bad gradually, it can be either tragical or wholesome I love it and developping it especially since it allows me to describe dilemmas and everything going through the characters' head.

Twilight Purple: Your least favourite kind of scene to write

So I don't have a least favorite kind of scene in particular, but I get VERY impatient when I have to write details, scenes, dialogues etc between 2 main events I was really looking for. I hate when things go too fast and I don't want to use time gaps all the time, so I have to write the transition with as much care as I would for the scenes I want to write, but boy don't I want to ! Also because I am obsessed with coherence, whenever I have to write how a job or studies consist of, how long it takes, how it repeats, what time a day it is and why, notably like I did in that Boggy Heather fanfic I wrote one year ago since it's a relationship evolution through student years degrading because of too much working at the job for promotion and training classes... Boy was it hell, I am a maso lmao

Ice Blue: Ship trope you think is overused in writing

Hmmm... A tough one. There are not bad or good tropes, just good or bad ways to use them and good or bad characters to associate them with. However maybe, just maybe... overly mushiness and adoration that arrive RIGHT after the 2 got together as if they somehow already know what they want and what each other like as a lover ? Usually at the beginning of a relationship, as happy as you are, you also are shy, still can't believe this is happening and test waters little by little. So when canon media and fics have them immediately act like an old married couple constantly making out and using pet names and cuddling and giggling without addressing "oh what do you say if... I kiss you ?" or "do you like if I touch you there ?" or them taking a mushy habit a realistic way, uugh does it make my eye rolls (yes Harley Quinn comics that are the sequels to the latest season, in which you and Ivy only recently got together but speak like you always loved each other and are sure to be each other's love of their lives already, I am talking about you. It makes me sick with cavities from all this sweetness ugh)

Hi! I would love to hear your thoughts on Clay and Quinn's individual personalities and their relationship if you want to!

To be honest, I never think about Clay and Quinn. They aren't bad characters. I'd say overall, I like both. More Clay than Quinn, but whatever. It's just that they're part of an era that I don't love to revisit? Haley, Nathan and Brooke spent six years developing and becoming a core part of the show. Clay and Quinn were kind of thrown into the deep end, forced to quickly establish themselves as being just as significant as Lucas and Peyton were. It was never going to be fully effective. I'm rambling but basically, this is why I struggle to break down both their relationship and their individual personalities. In my opinion, their relationship was nice for what it was. Both were goofy people who dealt with the losses of their first loves. We're meant to view them as a couple that's meant to be from the start, but I feel like they're just another ship that we're told is perfect rather than them just showing that. At least once they were together, they stuck it out. I don't know what I would have done if I had to watch them literally be Lucas and Peyton 2.0, constantly involving innocent people in their toxic cycle. For whatever reason, I was a lot more moved by Clay's tragic love story with Sara than his three seasons long relationship with Quinn.

I guess Clay is pretty ambitious? Or at least he's meant to be. He's introduced as basically a hot shot sports' agent who we're led to believe is this womanizer who never gets attached. That assumption is turned on its head when we find out Clay's behavior is in large part due to him grieving for Sara. After this, he's a goofy nice guy who is Nathan's best friend. Occasionally, twisted things will happen to him. For instance, he ends up with a stalker who just happens to be the doppelganger of his dead wife. Then, it's revealed he managed to block out the existence of his son because of his intense grief. What am I supposed to do with that? Clay clearly had a lot of problems, but he never felt like someone carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Like, Lucas and Peyton were always far more mopey.

Quinn's clearly a free-spirited type. Much like every member of the James family besides Haley, she enjoys living her life and finding the fun in everything she does, which is probably why she's a photographer. She ends up divorced, but I've never fully understood why. It appears her ex started to become more conventional, and so she fell out of love because he was no longer the man she married. I don't even know. Then, she ends up being extremely silly and is overtly sexualized because Mark Schwahn. I don't feel like she ever stands on her own as a character without Clay. She had the arc where she was trying to kill Katie and literally went to Dan as if he's a serial killer who is an expert at disposing the bodies instead of a guy who was practically handed the gun that murdered Keith by Jimmy himself it was so spur of the moment. She was never believable as a badass, dangerous type. Honestly, the character mostly only worked for me around Haley and Alex. Seriously, Quinn and Alex should have ditched Clay and Chase and ended up with each other.

Glee unpopular opinions that probably would get me hated

I prefer faberry over brittana

I think that the quinntana hook up didn't make sense at all and they just threw it in there to make ppl who wanted quinn to be a lesbian/wanted faberry canon shut up, i would have liked quinn exploring her sexuality but sadly this storyline was never realized and they brushed the whole thing off by making quinn say "i think its just one time thing for me" or something like that. It could have been a great chance to have another lgbt character on the show and they wasted it.

Klaine was really annoying as a couple, i really couldn't stand them half of the time, but the characters taken individually are not bad. I think they brought the worst out of each other.

Finn was one of the worst characters on the show, i really dislike him, probably one of the characters i hate the most on glee. Personally i don't see this big character development most of you say he has, he kept being an immature manchild who treated rachel like shit (violently beating up brody???? Wtf was that crazy act of jeaulousy/possessiveness) and made ableist comments. And don't even let me start about what he did to santana HE LITERALLY OUTED SOMEONE and called kurt a slur, as a lesbian i can't forgive something like that, there's a limit to everything bro. Everyone makes mistakes, but he fucked up too many times.

Fabrevans is a super bland ship

Rachel was a better performer than kurt, im sorry but i just hate the way he sings (nothing against chris, i just don't appreciate his unique voice)

S4 is not bad at all, it has really great songs and the storyline if fun and interesting, its nice that they did something new by describing the gleeks life in college. Maybe i like it bc im attending university, so i find it relatable. S5 and s6 suck ass and are terrible.

I don't think glee should have ended in s3, but it should have ended with a fourth season. They should have made a whole season dedicated to show how the gleeks life was after high school WITHOUT introducing new shallow characters that no one cared about

Rachel had more chemistry with santana, quinn, hell even with cassandra july than with finn or any other man.

Brittany is a pretty flat and uninteresting character, they should have given her more development, i never really cared much about her bc they wrote her off as a comic relief with no other personality trait besides saying random shit to make ppl laugh.

I don't care about tina, mike, artie, puck and mercedes

Marley was the only newbie i liked, both jake and rider were annoying, the love triangles get really tiring at some point

Mercedes is a great perfomer and i love when she sings, but her character doesn't make me feel anything, im not attached to her and i find her a little annoying sometimes, stan twt made me dislike her

Santana and Quinn were never friends, they literally spended the whole time destroying each other and putting each other down, i never felt love/affection between them, their friendship was terrible. I hc as friends in my mind but they have a whole different relationship than what its portrayed in the show. I don't like their canon friendship

I like pezberry a lot, they're a good enemies to lovers/ enemies with benefits ship

Santana had more chemisty with quinn and rachel than with brittany, i respect brittana's impact on sapphic rep and they were a beautiful couple, but i could never feel the sparkle/the passion between them.

so i think what really kind of draws me in, initially, is that i think, aesthetically speaking, they're attractive people. i like to put attractive people together. I'm a shallow bisexual, what can i say? but i also believe that there was a bit of chemistry there because i think joe quinn had pretty much chemistry with everyone. there was a moment, very briefly and i did yell at myself for it, with robin but i think it was less robin and more maya for me. the problem i have is that i roleplayed online for fucking ten years so i think in terms of face claims, yk? i like to put pretty people together. so it wasn't really eddie x robin bc what the fuck, she's a lesbian. the thought was kicked out as fast as i could i am so fucking sorry it came to my mind.

another thing is that, i know this is widely disputed and I'm sorry for bringing it up again, their sexualities aren't necessarily defined per se and i am always pushing my bisexuality onto my characters. so i like eddie and nancy as bisexual. if you don't, that's fucking fantastic and i love that. i am not here to sway anyone's opinions.

anyway edancy as characters. they would be utterly chaotic together. even in a friend aspect. in one of my fics i think i referred to eddie, in a certain mood, as robin turned to 11. which, could be wrong of course, but since it's nancy's point of view i think that's how she'll take it. so it would require a lot of patience to be each other's friend which neither of them really are so it's not like the best friendship. in one of my fics she's very guilt driven and also realizes she's been lonely without a friend like barb and now she's collecting them like robin and eddie. and steve kinda. eventually argyle and Jonathan. i just like the platonic love i am creating in my fic let me tell you. one day i'll post it i promise.

i also like that they have this like potential bc they do know each other, maybe not well or anything, but they've gone to the same high school together for four years. you tend to learn people after a while, especially in a small town. i mean all she said in the walkie was it's nancy and he instantly said wheeler! no one previously stated if nancy was a part of it or not because i don't think they went and saw eddie after getting nancy involved due to needing to figure out how to help max.

he knew his trailer was seven fucking miles from her house. i don't think he liked mike THAT much to know that by giving him rides home. that has literally been in my brain since you brought it up. i like to think that he could have had a crush on her, yk? the idea of eddie biking to her house or maybe driving if it happened later but i don't i picture like middle school for some reason. actually it really depends on the au ig bc i have like fucking 3 of them in my mind at once. in the canon divergence au, it was middle school bc I'm using the talent show angle bc of a specific scene and ship from skins gen 3. if you know arnold x violet pls pls get that i think nancy was a ballet dancer growing up and she would have done that at the talent show. and focused on her mistakes while eddie was like nah i thought it was beautiful. bc the scene from skins was this metal head, who had temporarily gone deaf, went and saw a ballet dancer dance and it was so fucking beautiful he fell in love with her. (this is by memory i haven't watched skins in like ten years)

in the rockstar au it was his senior year bc he graduated on time bc it was the only way to make it work where she didn't really know the guy. and i haven't made it up yet for the 10 things au but that will come. i promise. it's never going away.

eddie and nancy just kinda went into my ear, invaded my brain and never left. don't get me wrong, i still ship other ships with them, i appreciate a lot of them. and don't appreciate all of them. bc there are some that i can't get behind. but I've always been the type to be a multi shipper, a crack shipper, whatever. I've been on this website long enough to have seen the oddest pairings and go "yeah, that's fucking cool". does it usually have to do with putting two hot people together? yes. yes it does. do i care? no. no i do not.

What’s your opinion on the Pezberry relationship - as rivals/friendship/frenemies/romance or whatever?

Okay I gotta be careful here bc I'm close to one of the biggest Pezberry shippers ever haha.

Okay first off, romantically, absolutely NOT. Santana belongs to one Miss Brittany Pierce, and that is final. And removing my ship bias I also just don't think these two work well as lovers, I'm sorry. They're both too similar. IMO Santana needs someone who will balance her out, someone the opposite to her. Someone who will calm her, not fuel her fire.

My general Pezberry thoughts, I'm not a lover tbh, but only because of the way the writers handled them in canon. I think it's such a shame because Naya and Lea did have great chemistry, their voices blend so well together and they're both hugely talented. But I just personally didn't like the way their friendship was handled on the show. For me it just came a bit out of nowhere and seemed a little contrived. They kind of went from hating each other to living together and being bffl all too quickly. I wish they had developed their friendship more organically in S3, and I would have believed in it more. Instead we had Rachel randomly join in IKAG to "show support" when that should have been Santana's moment. This was apparently meant to reference the start of their friendship but it just made it look like Rachel wanted to share the stage and take some of the limelight. It would have made so much more sense to have Rachel pull Santana aside and talk to her. I would have rooted for that. Then we don't really get much else from them until the end of the season when Rachel gives Santana a picture for her locker, which I always found odd. Idk if it's the choice of photo that Rachel uses, but idk, I didn't get it? So Emotional was amazing and one of the best duets in the show, but yeah the origins of their friendship just wasn't very well developed to me. Then it pretty much goes from that to living together and I'm like...wait what?

If you ask me, it's because they didn't really "plan" for Pezberry to be the whole enemies to friends arc. That was always meant to go to Faberry. And I actually adore the S3 development of Faberry becoming friends, like if Pezberry had that, I'd be on board. But they didn't because that was never the plot line the writers intended to follow. We all know Santana was meant to be a background character and Quinn and Rachel were meant to be arch-rivals, but then Santana grew into a main character and as part of that she became less bitchy sidekick more Rachel's main nemesis, but after high school these two characters wouldn't necessarily have to cross paths again. Those two making up before they all leave school seems a fitting enough ending for the arc originally planned for them, because the writers didn't know what direction they were going to take Santana in. Then they decided to have her in New York which was great, but they pushed this super close sudden friendship on us out of nowhere to make it work. It almost felt to me like Santana's role in Rachel's life was what they would have had Quinn do, had Dianna been apart of Glee more in the later seasons. Basically Faberry had the development, and Pezberry almost finished off what Faberry could have been. It's entirely a writer issue and I just wish they had given more time to organically build Santana and Rachel transforming from enemies to friends.

They had so much potential though and some really cute moments. I loved the dynamic of Kurt, Rachel and Santana as a trio. I loved Rachel being a wingwoman for Santana with Dani and when she got her involved in her photoshoot. I loved Santana comforting Rachel during her pregnancy scare (that's probably my fav Pezberry moment) but then sigh...the feud.

Once again the writers ruined it with the feud. I think without it I could let it slide how out of nowhere the friendship felt and just admire their cute transition into friendship, however quick it may seem, but the feud kind of ruins all that. I'm Team Santana in the fact I don't think she deliberately wanted to hurt Rachel and I think she was well within her rights to audition. I genuinely don't think she thought Rachel would be mad going off her earlier words where Rachel had said she wanted to see her do something. I think her song choice was literally her indirectly honouring Rachel because she had probably seen how well Rachel performed it and thought that would be a good choice to audition with. Since she didn't have much musical theatre knowledge herself, she probably thought best to imitate Rachel, but put her own spin on it. That highlights the fact she appreciates Rachel's talent. I'll die on this hill to say that she never meant to spite Rachel and that she genuinely wanted the opportunity, but I also understand where Rachel's hurt and lack of trust stems from. Neither of them come out good in the feud. Rachel comes across way too immature to be in the industry and Santana oversteps the line with how mean she is. I hate when she insults Rachel the way she does in the choir room and Rachel goes off in tears, and I hate the part when Rachel tries to make amends by giving her ten shows and Santana is being too stubborn. I understand both of their pain and why they act the way they do, but I just hate that the writers did this and ruined what could have been a genuine f/f friendship on the show. I also think there's very little resolve to the feud. Sure they make up and there are nice scenes afterwards like when Santana gives Rachel the pep talk on opening night, but they never go back to what they were, and that's sad.

So yeah I guess my overall take is that I can't really get fully on board because they didn't have much development, and what little cute moments they do have seem tainted by the feud. But it's purely a writers problem, not a problem with them as characters meshing together, because they had so much potential. Like I love Pezberry in fics (friends only ofc), but that's because people actually develop them properly.

I mean, it's Glee. There's so many plot holes, and so much that they don't bother to flesh out, and it's up to us as individuals to head canon and fill in the gaps. I mean Brittana is a prime example of it, because I know many people argue they can't ship them because they weren't fleshed out enough, and like I agree, there's so many gaps. But because I've always been invested in Brittana, I'll happily head canon so it makes sense, but I don't have that investment in Pezberry to want to do the same. But some people love their dynamic so they do, and that's fine.

I just wish the writers had done better with them!

i was asked to delete my reblog by op i was answering to. but i still wanna people to see what i was saying, so here we are, my thoughts and deep analyse of the situation

what i like to do while explaining why "illegal" fictional relationships might be appealing and why it's not something you should be concerned really is to make analogies

i really wonder why people are so focused on relationships only. you can find so many illegal themes in fiction, and most of them would even be canon (while ships are mostly made up by fans). let's say murder. noone is against murder in fiction. noone would call you murder apologist if you write a fic where murder has a place. and i bet noone would say you're gonna murder someone even if you don't condemn the said murder in the said fic. people are pretty chill with fictional murders nomatter how horrifying they are and how much author is glorifying it in their work (we even have whole ass shows the only purpose of which is showing as much graphic violence as it can, sometimes in very playfull and not condemned at all way. like animated "harley quinn"). and i don't think anyone got accused of being a murderer or absolutely becoming a murderer some time soon only cause they find their pleasure in fictional murders

i imagine it's cause we all kinda know that killing people is bad, as a society we have somewhat strong opinion on that, so as individuals we don't find it hard to separate fictional murder and irl one. and as the result we don't find it hard other people can separate too. so we don't automatically assume that only people who find joy in fiction murder are irl murderers or murder sympathizers

with relationship on the other hand i imagine we as society only start to form strong opinion on what is bad and absolutely forbidden irl, so for some it's hard to fully separate fiction and irl, and as the result it's hard to inderstand that other people can do it just fine

but it's not really that hard. once again, romanticizing and glorifying something in fiction has absolutely nothing to do with irl. i adore thieves in fiction, and whenever i play rpg i make sure to play as a street orphan thief. it doesn't mean i'd really like to rob people irl (or lose my parent for that matter). it just mean i find this trop in fiction fascinating. i also love when my favourite characters get beaten up to nearly death in fiction. but i don't want my irl loved ones to even hit their pinkie toe. fiction and irl are two absolutely separate things, and mentally healthy person shouldn't have any troubles with distinguishing one from another and keeping fiction in fiction only spaces

as for "why"... like okay, it's different things, but still, why doing something in fiction you don't want to happened irl?

well. cause feelings. humans have feelings, it's kinda our standout trait. and we all love to feel feelings. and cause some things are bad irl (like murders), we potentually deprived of the opportunity to experience some feelings. and this is where fiction waltzes in like a savior in shining armor. so now we can feel the feelings that experiencing murder (as a murderer, as a victim, as a witness, as a relative of murderer/victim) could give us, without need of actually experiencing this thing. isn't it grate?

as for why even wanting to feel the feelings of murder... idk, humans are fucked up on their brains. it's kinda our thing too. but as for "engaging with it in fiction would normalize it for you and one day you'll condone it or even engage with it yourself irl". no. actually since video-games (including pretty violent ones) become a thing the irl crime rate has dropped quite a bit (not only cause of it, of course, but partly cause of it too). cause if you want to expirience murder so much, why go outside and risk being put in jail if you can just beat the driver of a car, take his car and drive over a couple of working girls in gta?

but... but "jaws" and society's fear of sharks! if inaccurate movie about sharks had this kind of effect on people, sure thing fics about siblings kissing would make irl siblings start to kiss left and right. well... yes and no. once again, numerous movies, books, games with murders didn'd turn everyone into murders. why is that? cause we are all told from childhood that murder is bad you souldn't do it. and mentally health people don't really have hard times with realizing that if you have irl rules and fiction rules, when it comes to irl, irl rules have much more weight. with sharks tho, we aren't really irl educated on them that much. so all we have on shark is fiction knowledge, and that is the reason why people believe sharks are evil. not cause some movie said so, but cause irl haven't said them otherwise

so, what is the conclusion? liking stuff in fiction that is pretty messed up irl isn't a bad thing and won't lead to bad things. to bad things would lead lack of education. so instead of saying "stop ship the ships that would be gross irl!" we really should say "okay but remember that these kind of things are bad irl, don't do it irl".

and i kinda went off the rails didn't i? anyway, back to your original questions. it's okay if you don't find these type of ships appealing. similarly to how not all people find fictional crimes appealing either and can't find joy in fictional murderers. it can just mean this people (and you) don't feel the need to feel the feelings this kind of content can give you. but other people have their own needs in feelings, and this is okay too. we all don't need to find joy in similar things. much like let's say taste in music. most of people around me like music that is slow, steady, melodious. and i can't listen to this shit. it's just not for me. cause these type of music don't make me feel things i want to feel. it's just that. no more, no less. and i get you. i can't understand either why someone would find appealing this slow ass songs. but they do. and i don't really have any rights to judge them for their likes and for how they interract with their feelings. i don't even need to understand them tbh. the only thing that's need to be understood: we are different people and have different tastes, that's it

Emile swallowed and shifted on his feet as his mom looked him over. He must have been quite the sight, covered head to toe in dirt and blood. To be fair, Sully had started the fight, but something told him that Mom wouldn’t want to hear that right now. Sully had started it, but Emile had finished it. By shoving Sully into the side of the building, which happened to be where the metal gutter was, landing Sully with a concussion.

Finally, his mom took a breath. Emile knew this lecture was going to be long, but he didn’t know exactly how long it might be, and that’s where the real fear kicked in. He hoped he’d have time for dinner before bed, but judging by the look Mom was giving him, his odds weren’t very high.

Emile finally left his room when his dad called up that it was time for lunch. He walked down the stairs to find Remy resolutely not looking at him as he sat at the table with a plate of meatballs with some sauce Emile couldn’t identify, and rice on the side. Emile sat down next to him tentatively, where another plate was waiting. Remy didn’t acknowledge him.

His mom and dad came in with plates of their own, his mom said grace, and they all started to eat. Remy went for the rice first, but Emile was curious and immediately halved a meatball, skewering it and humming in surprise. The olive oil brought a depth of flavor to the meatballs that he had never tasted before! “The olive oil was a good call, Rem,” Emile said. “I’m super impressed.”

Remy’s eyes flickered over to him for half a second. “You mean that?”

“Yeah! I’ve never had the meatballs taste like this before, and it’s absolutely delicious.”

Remy’s smile at that was small, and shy, but completely genuine. He wasn’t putting up a front, or playing up his emotions. He was genuinely pleased. And in Emile’s mind, he definitely should be. “It’s been forever since I’ve cooked,” Remy admitted. “I missed it.”

“Well, if this is what you can do with simple ingredients, we’ll have to invest in real food more often,” Emile said. “This is, without a doubt, the best meal I’ve had in months.”

“Emile!” Remy laughed, cheeks flaming red. “You’re gonna embarrass me!”

Emile shrugged and said, “Well, I’m just sharing my opinion,” before backing off and going back to eating.

The atmosphere in the room was slightly less tense after that, though no one really said much, aside from the occasional praise to Remy about improving the recipe. Remy ducked his head with a blush every time, but Emile could see that he really enjoyed the end result of his experiment. It got Emile thinking. Remy would make an excellent cook at a restaurant, or he could probably make new mixes for coffee at the smaller chain, if his managers let him. But food service seemed to be where Remy excelled. He knew a lot about business and math, but he enjoyed cooking. He tucked that thought away for later. He was sure he could make sense out of a half-baked idea at some point in the future.

“So, Remy, do you want to tell us a little about yourself?” Mom asked. “Obviously, you’re a wonderful cook, but outside that.”

Remy shrugged. “I mean, I kinda like sports. Not to the point where I’d be called a sports nut, but it passes the time, and it’s fun to play and to watch. I’ve read some...novels, and books, but uh...my biggest hobby by far has to be...uh...comics. Like, DC, Marvel, anything in between, indie companies, I love them all.”

“Oh, that’s nice!” Mom said. “Do you think you like comics as much as Emile likes cartoons?”

“I’m not sure if anyone could like anything as much as Emile likes cartoons,” Remy laughed. “But yeah, I’m pretty enthusiastic about them.”

“Who’s your favorite superhero? You can’t like comics without having some kind of favorite superhero. Or perhaps a supervillain?” Dad asked.

“How about an antihero?” Remy shot back. “Deadpool is by far my favorite comic series. Anything with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy comes in second, and first for everything DC, but Deadpool takes the cake.”

“He’s tried to explain the timelines to me, but I can’t keep up with them,” Emile said with a shake of his head. “It’s too confusing.”

“You just lack the ability to apply ret-conning,” Remy informed him. “That makes understanding timelines so much easier.”

Emile and Remy fell into banter about whether or not cartoons or comics were better that had them both laughing by the end of lunch. Everyone put their dishes in the kitchen to be washed later and Dad asked, “Do you boys want to do anything in particular? If you want, we can always go to the community center for a game of basketball or something similar.”

“Uh...if you don’t mind, Mister Thomas, I’d like to talk to Emile alone a minute, first,” Remy said.

Emile’s hair stood on end as his dad nodded. “If I hear shouting, I will come over to break it up,” he said. “You both are mature enough that I hope it won’t be a problem.”

That unspoken behave may as well have been written on a neon sign to Emile. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes as Remy led him upstairs, back to Emile’s room. Remy closed the door behind him softly and hissed, “How many times do I have to tell you, Emile, I don’t like you talking smack about my family!”

“It was a knee-jerk response,” Emile said, crossing his arms.

“The first sentence might have been. The rest certainly wasn’t,” Remy snarled.

“Well, what do you want me to do? Lie to your face and tell you I believe you when you say your parents will change?” Emile challenged. “Look, Rem, I don’t want to hurt you, but you’re setting yourself up to be hurt again putting that hope in your parents!”

“Yeah?” Remy asked. “You’re so certain they’re going to fail me, huh?”

“Every person I’ve ever met who has acted like your mother did never changed their tune. I’m speaking from experience, Remy! I don’t want you to get hurt anymore!”

“They can change!” Remy exclaimed. “They took Vanessa and Toby and I on trips when we were little, and they were doting and caring to all of us at one point or another. They have good in them, Emile! They have good days! They can get more good days if they only put in the effort!”

“Is it worth it, though?” Emile asked. “You’re ripping at the seams, a thread that’s slowly unravelling into insanity. You know your parents weren’t good to you, Rem. You’ve been over this with me and with Kim. But do you know what Kim might not have told you?”

“What?” Remy asked.

“Any good days that they had do not negate the bad days and the hell they put you through most of the time. If you believe they can be good? Then great. Let them prove it to you. Don’t force them to do anything, don’t be the one to reach out first. Make sure that they know you’re serious, you won’t back down, you’re your own person.” Emile shook his head. “You’re making excuses for them and putting all your eggs in one basket. What happens if they don’t come around?”

“They will,” Remy said with certainty.

“But what if they don’t? What happens if they only accept you to a point? They say that you can be who you want in terms of a job, but you can’t be gay, or you can’t have certain people as your friends? There’s always something with those types, Rem. Something will always keep them from being happy.”

Remy’s fists were shaking at his sides. He brought up a hand and Emile flinched, but Remy just pointed. “You know that you can act like a real ass, Emile? It’s not just me who has my moments, or my months!”

Emile took a deep breath, remembering his mother’s words about being gentle. “Remy, I don’t want to hurt you,” he said, holding his hands up. “I’m trying to be realistic, and I know you don’t like it when I sugarcoat things.”

“You talk about my family like they’re all scum,” Remy said. “Well not all of them are that bad, or bad at all! Toby’s the one who gave me ‘the talk’ when I told him I was gay! Vanessa always snuck me snacks if I was banished to my room for however long and I might have missed a meal! Nate and Magenta are angels! Not all my family is my parents, Emile, and even my parents have the potential to change!”

“But it’s only potential, Rem. I don’t want you taking all your hopes and putting it on potential. I don’t want your mom to keep stalking you. I don’t want your parents to ship you off to the military. I don’t want you getting hurt. I just...I can’t find the pretty words to explain why something won’t work!” Emile exclaimed. “I know it can’t work, but you disagree, and I can’t figure out how to get you to see it from my side!”

“I have seen it from your side!” Remy exclaimed. “I saw it from your side on Thanksgiving. When my mom came to me at work. When I put all my hopes on you and moved in with you. But you have extreme, visceral reactions whenever my family gets brought up that make me feel sick to my stomach. They’re not bad people, Emile!”

“They’re bad parents,” Emile insisted. “And bad grandparents. Your cousins and Vanessa are mostly off the hook for now, and Toby was never on it, but your parents? And grandparents? And the aunts and uncles who wouldn’t stand in your corner when you needed it? They’re hurting you, whether intentional or not, actively or passively. And I don’t want to see you hurt!” Emile’s eyes were clouding with tears. “I love you, you idiot! I don’t want to see you hurt!”

“But you hurt me too! When you say my family is evil and my parents are bad and toxic, that hurts me too! Because I want to believe that my family can be good! And you refuse to give them that chance!” Remy hugged own torso. “Maybe I give them too much of a chance, but you definitely give them too little. I could change, why couldn’t they?”

“Rem...” Emile trailed off. “You didn’t change. They tried to change you and you resisted, and you put up walls and fronts around yourself to get their approval, but you were always a kind, caring person at heart. That’s you. And they...they aren’t.”

Remy scowled at him.

Emile shook his head. “I’m sorry, Rem. But I can’t...this is one thing I can’t sugarcoat even if I wanted to. You deserve to know that your parents were hurting you. Are hurting you, even now.”

Remy crossed his arms. “So, what, I’m just supposed to go through life without parents? Without family? Without a safety net? Just free fall the second my mental health takes a dive and crash onto the pavement below?”

“No,” Emile said. “You can borrow my parents and family if you need. You have me, and Clara, and Theo, and Xavier, and all of our mutual friends as a safety net. The second your mental health takes a dive we’ll be there to support you in any way we’re able to.”

Remy kept his arms crossed, eyes growing glassy with tears. “But what if I don’t want you? What if I don’t want them? What if...what if all I really want is my parents there for me? My mother supporting my decisions, and my father praising my hard work?! What if I want that?!”

For Birds of Prey I heard Margot decided she didn’t like Jarley and so w her new power and money she nixed them. Even though the last we saw of them he was breaking her out of the unbreakable prison and she learned he’s not dead crying?! Like what even?! She liked them when she was doing press. Maybe don’t play a character you don’t understand. Whether you like them or not. Harley and the Joker are a package deal. Your personal opinion doesn’t change a character older than your portrayal😡

You’re absolutely right.  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Margot Robbie is a chameleon.  The only reason she doesn’t like Jarley anymore is because of the backlash.  What she did with BOP has absolutely nothing to do with her love for the character, but rather her love for fame.  If you love a character, you want to tell her whole story and represent her as truly and faithfully as possible- her views, her struggles, her flaws, her journey.  However if you love fame, you take shortcuts and give in to the demands of whoever is yelling the loudest.  And that’s exactly what she did.  Forget what makes Harley, Harley.  We’ll just scrap it and cut to the very end of her story.  Yay, sparkles! *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

Jarley fans constantly get oversimplified and accused of wanting to see Harley be abused, and that’s just..... not even close.  As a result, we get blown off and denied a really good story.

First of all, the fans of Suicide Squad!Jarley love them precisely because there’s a LACK OF ABUSE.  

We all know there’s abuse in their relationship in the comics and animated series.  We KNOW that.  (Especially since antis won’t shut up about it.)  So it was an interesting and refreshing take when SS removed that element from their relationship, and just left the fun stuff.  Soft, but twisted people like me could enjoy seeing villains being villains, while at the same time being complete suckers for each other.  It’s a cool angle on traditional love, without the elements that made it toxic originally.  Even Margot said that:

And in other interviews she’s said that the scenes she and Jared shot together were “magic”, and that she hoped to explore the Joker/Harley relationship even further in future movies.  So with the direction they were taking it, the DCEU should have been a safe place for Jarley fans to enjoy their ship.  (Though any place should be safe for someone to enjoy a ship they like.)

Second of all, any Jarley fan who does want to see the darker side of their relationship portrayed on-screen, only want that so we can see her break. out. of. it.  You’ll never find someone who just wants to see Harley get smacked around; that would mean people hated her character.  But they don’t.  They LOVE her character.  It’s intoxicating to see a twisted female character choose to be bad and become partners in crime with the biggest DC villain there is.  But she’s not just the Joker’s girlfriend.  She’s the Joker’s FEMALE EQUIVALENT.  That’s AWESOME.  But rather than explore this amazing potential, they decide to water down the greatest female villain in all of fiction to appease raging SJWs.

I’ve also seen posts that claim “Margot couldn’t work with Jared anymore because of the ‘abuse’ she suffered at his hands in real life1!!1″

I’ll keep this part short and sweet because frankly, it’s not worth my time.  This is what Margot had to say on it:

The worst of the rumors of what he sent his co-stars weren’t true.  He never sent gross and inappropriate things like condoms or anal beads. He did send Margot a rat, and here’s how she responded:

It’s been four years and people still haven’t learned how to calm down and check facts.  At no point did Margot ever indicate (verbally or non-verbally) that she was uncomfortable with, or victimized by, Jared.  Her only explanation for ditching him in BOP was: “I wanted a girl-gang movie”.  That’s it.  Jared got the worst of the SS backlash- therefore, she and WB dropped him like a hot potato to save their own image.  It was an underhanded move.

I don’t hate Margot.  But I am really disappointed with how everything went down, and my interest in her portrayal of Harley Quinn is officially dead.

How I feel about this character

I looove Quinn. Glee was embarassingly enough my first tumblr fandom, I guess, and Quinn was the character I fell in love with right away. I have a thing for “the pretty blonde cheerleader who everyone writes off as a bitch but who really has plenty of layers and a good heart” trope. I can’t remember if this started with Quinn, or if she just fit right in. Yes, she sometimes had her own agenda or, at the very beginning of the series, spied for Sue, but most of the time she stood up for her fellow Glee members (ie first example I can think of might be demanding to Sue that the Glee club gets a whole page in the yearbook) and usually ended up doing the right thing. She proved to be a good friend, she was always hardworking, and she grew so much from everything that happened to her. 

All the people I ship romantically with this character

For me there is just the only and only: Faberry (Quinn/Rachel).  ❤︎ From how they look at each other (especially the looks Quinn sends Rachel), to their continuous support of and faith in one another, writing Get it Right (”You don’t belong here Rachel, and you can’t help me for helping send you on your way”), their fight their first Prom Episode ( “You’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever met, but you are so much more than that”), Pretty/Unpretty, Rahcel reaching out to Quinn when she was depressed and left the Glee club during their third year, Rachel convincing Quinn to do the right thing with Beth, Quinn trying to convince Rachel not to get married because she has her whole life ahead of her, Rachel refusing to actually get married without Quinn there, Quinn giving Rachel the prom queen title because she knows how much it would mean to her... I could go on and on, but even now years after the show ended, when I see gifs of Faberry, and their looks, their gentle touches, I just die of happiness. Well i could obviously be happier, if it was officially canon in the end, but oh well. For me there’s only Faberry. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Quinn/Mercedes:  I love their season 1 dynamic, like Quinn moving in with her after being kicked out from home, or her supporting her when Sue made her go on a diet when she was a Cheerio. Sadly we don’t get to see them that much after season 1, but they were pretty cute when together in the God squad and numbers such as “Edge of Glory” later. I wish the show hadn’t dropped the ball on this friendship si quickly. 

Quinn/Sam:  Their performance of “Lucky” was just adorable, and I always had a soft spot for the two, even though I was way too deep into Faberry to consider shipping them romantically. Instead I appreciate their friendship and support of each other. Quinn helping Sam out after his family loses their home just speaks volumes of her character. 

My unpopular opinion about this character

I guess just that I was on her side most of the time? I guess the exception was when she tried to “win her baby back” from Shelby, but even then, she was right that Shelby and Puck’s relationship was completely inappropriate. I couldn’t blame her much for being “mean” to Rachel at times, considering Rachel really was going after her boyfriend, despite being called out several times. I think even at her meanest she to the Glee club members she wasn’t THAT bad, and that her loyalty to them in the end makes up for it for sure. 

And I don’t know how unpopular this is, but Skank!Quinn is my favourite Quinn look for sure.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I mean, canon Faberry would be nice. I definetly didn’t like the fact that she ended up with Puck; the guy who “got her drunk on wine coolers” to sleep with her when she felt insecure. I think she should have been confirmed bisexual or lesbian too.

I obviously also wish she would have been more heavily featured in the later seasons, as she’s my favourite character. But I also am happy for Dianna for getting away, haha. I wish she would have at least been brought back for Finn’s funeral or for Brittana’s wedding, as she was a big part of these character’s lives for the first three seasons. 

We kind of don’t really get any “conclusion” for what happened to her, other than the fact that she ended up with Puck, and I would like to know more about her school/work and life after High School that doesn’t just include her love interest.

Character Dissection [Rachel Berry]: Episode by Episode - Season 3B

Hello and welcome the finale of my Rachel Berry Character Dissection. Wow it’s been a long time coming and I seriously have enjoyed going over the first three seasons. I know there are more seasons to go over but I wasn’t as invested in the later seasons so I don’t really remember everything. I’m excited to end this series and start again with another character. If you guys have any input of who it should be please let me know. I probably won’t do Quinn since I’ve already made a lot of post dissecting her actions but if there’s another subject you’d like me to cover about her, I’m open to it. Anyway, we will be dissecting Rachel in the second half of Season 3 which is from Yes/No to Goodbye. Once again these are my opinions. I’m not the biggest Rachel fan so reader be warned if you are.

Let’s start off with the midseason premiere of Yes/No. In this episode the Glee Club is looking for the perfect song for Will to propose to Emma with. Rachel is seen thinking about Finn when the girls perform their number of ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’. She also is unhappy during the episode because the finalists for NYADA have already been called back and she and Kurt have yet to have heard anything. She, Kurt, and Finn are comserating when Finn feels like he has nothing good going on in his life after finding out what really happened to his father. This is when Rachel sings ‘Without You’ to Finn reminding him of how much they love each other. The end of the episode is left off at cliffhanger of Finn proposing to Rachel, something no one expected, which is a storyline that pretty much drives this half of the season.

In the next episode of Michael, Finn’s upset because Rachel hasn’t given him an answer and she tells him she’s still thinking about it, especially since she hasn’t heard back from NYADA. She then confides in Quinn who tries to discourage her from getting engaged. Quinn believes it’s the wrong choice for Rachel who’s career is only just beginning and also believes Finn and Rachel are too young to make the commitment. I know many people speculate Quinn does this because she’s still in love with Rachel but honestly, I don’t think so. Quinn’s reasons are fairly rational and are something a FRIEND would advise another FRIEND on. Anyway after Quinn performs a puzzling song choice when she’s telling Rachel to let go and sings ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ which is mostly about not wanting to let someone go. Her speech is amazing and she directs it towards Rachel once again telling her to let go and start her future. Kurt soon gets his NYADA letter and Rachel breaks down since not receiving hers feeling like she has no idea what her future holds. After performing with Finn she accepts his proposal, thinking Finn is her only future but everything changes when she gets her NYADA letter and quickly regrets her decision.

 Up next is The Spanish Teacher which is quite possibly the worst episode of Season 3. Once again this episode doesn’t focus much on the students which is why it’s my least favorite. Rachel’s major storyline is how she reveals to Kurt and Mercedes the fact that she and Finn are engaged, something both of them are very against but Rachel is insistent that this is the right call.

Moving on to Heart which is the Valentine’s Day episode. Love is in the air as Rachel and Finn reveal their engagement to the Glee Club which is not met with as much love as they would’ve hoped. Quinn and Kurt both are against the wedding think they’re too young with Kurt being the one to tell their parents. Rachel’s dad has previously met them at the school to pretend to give them their blessing. Finn gives Rachel a singing telegram from the God Squad which Santana uses to voice her support that ANYONE should be able to be happy in their relationship and asks the God Squad to sing a song to Brittany. Meanwhile Rachel and Finn have dinner with both of their parents which seems to be going well until Finn is to stay overnight. Things start off okay but Finn wants to use Rachel’s bathroom which she’s disguisted by and the two have a huge fight with Rachel not really caring about Finn’s future. They soon make up and head to the party at Breadstix but decide to move up their wedding so they could get used to one another.

Up next is probably one of my least favorite episodes of Season 3, even though it’s written well, On My Way. It’s my least favorite for obvious reasons but let’s just talk about it regarding Rachel. The episode starts with Rachel being threatened by Sebastian not to perform at Regionals saying if she does he’d release a photoshopped racy photo of Finn. Rachel, not wanting to let threats get in the way of their performances at Regionals, refuses to sit out again. This leads Finn to get pissed off at her. But soon all is forgiven when Karofsky attempts to commit suicide. It leads Finn and Rachel to have a real talk about how neither of them would ever do that. It also gives them the message that life is too short and they decide to move up their wedding to after Regionals. Quinn, who was resistant to coming at first later asks Rachel if she can come if it’s not too late. Rachel tells her it’s not and the two hug. As it’s time for the wedding Rachel wants to delay it until Quinn gets there wanting the New Directions family to be complete. Sadly, Quinn wouldn’t get there in time but instead got into a horrible accident, hence why I don’t like this episode. 

Another thing I want to speak on is how many shippers take the Quinn and Rachel scene from this episode as well as the deleted Bridesmaids shop scene as a sign that Quinn was in love with Rachel. Honestly, I can see where they get it from especially the way Quinn looks as she hugs Rachel but from what I could tell that was not the way it was intended to be. I feel like the writers unfortunately were trying to queerbait Faberry and ride them out for as long as possible to keep the fans hopes up. I think it’s not right to do that to crack shippers (crack shippers isn’t a bad term so don’t come for me. It’s a term meaning a non canon ship that people want together) and I sincerely dislike the show for doing that.

Moving onto Big Brother, Rachel in this episode is constantly feeling guilty about Quinn’s accident, blaming herself that it happened. The one thing that kind of annoyed me about this is how Rachel made it constantly about herself rather then obeying Quinn’s wishes for them not to make a big deal about the accident. Anyway besides that she like everyone else seemed to fawn over Blaine’s brother being in town and was taking his advice seriously since he made it (somewhat) as an actor. The other major storyline about Rachel is that Finn gets fed up with her about only talking about her future and not caring about his which leaves them in a bad spot in their relationship.

Up next is Saturday Night Glee-ver. Rachel doesn’t have too big of a storyline in this episode other than making up with Finn. They get conseuled by Emma which works and leads Finn to agree to go to New York leaving Rachel incredibly happy that she got her way.

Moving on to Dance With Somebody. Rachel’s biggest storyline in this episode is when she finds out Kurt was texting another guy and she got very upset about it saying it was like cheating on Blaine. Rachel later performs with Santana, something no one saw coming and the girls talk to Quinn after noticing how she and Joe were together after performing their duet. Quinn thinks she doesn’t have much of a chance due to her current situation of being in a wheelchair. Rachel soon goes to talk to Santana and tells her that they did well on the duet together and how much she wishes they wouldn’t have been enemies for so long and wants to make the last 42 days together count. She soon gives Santana a photo of her to put in her locker which Santana does.

Up next is Choke, which is one of Rachel’s most promient episodes since the title comes from what happens at her NYADA audition. Rachel has been preparing incredibly hard all week for the audition and wanted to ace her performance. However, she becomes concerned when Kurt decides to change his song last minute and offers to be his Christine onstage. Kurt however, goes against Rachel’s advice and gives his best performance to date. When it’s Rachel’s turn to audition, however, things go ary. She performs her go to song ‘Don’t Rain on my Parade’ and flubs on the lyrics. When she asks for a second chance Miss Tibedeaux, the NYADA faculty member seeing the auditions lets her but when Rachel flubs again and tries to start over, she won’t let her. Rachel tears up onstage begging for another chance knowing that she truly blew her audition. Rachel is still upset and tramatized a few days later knowing her chances of getting in based on her limited performance are slim. She felt like she lost everything and performs a ballad expressing her feelings, clearly emotional. 

Moving on to Prom-asaurus, yet another episode that fully frustrates me and it’s thanks to Rachel that it’s like this. I do feel sorry for her with what happened at NYADA but she acts like a spoiled brat who didn’t get her way in this episode. She gets irrationally mad at Finn for running for Prom Court with Quinn claiming he will ruin her senior prom by doing so, saying it would be just like when high school began for her. This is what leads Rachel to do one of my least favorite storylines, the anti-prom. Santana rightfully calls her out on what the anti-prom is really about. It’s Rachel throwing herself a pity party because one thing didn’t go the way she wanted it to. The anti-prom storyline is anti-climatic with Rachel walking out in her prom dress as Finn gets there and they end up going to the actual prom anyway. Rachel does end up apologizing to Quinn for being irriationally angry at her and said that becoming Quinn’s friend meant a lot to her and that she voted for her for prom queen. When Santana goes to get Quinn to count the votes she makes a comment for the Faberry shippers telling Quinn to stop making out with Rachel because they needed to crown her prom Queen.

Now for the second part I truly hate about this episode. Santana and Quinn just giving Rachel Prom Queen. It was Quinn’s idea to give it to her but my main problem is that Quinn has wanted that so badly for so long and quite frankly, she had a lot worse of a year than Rachel. But would the writers ever give Quinn the happy ending she deserved? Nope. Everything had to be handed to Rachel. Also the lines the writers made Quinn say about how she and Santana had “the ideal high school careers” literally in what way did Quinn have the ideal high school career? She got pregnant from rape, her family disowned her until her mom came around, she lost 2 boyfriends she cared about due to her mistakes, and not to mention she was currently still recovering from the accident only from a few episodes ago. It always made me blood boil when they would give lines like that to Quinn, especially since she went through quite possibly the most stuff out of all of the characters (I can also make an argument for Kurt). So seriously? Taking something away from her that this character deserved for a happy ending pissed me off. This is in no way Rachel’s fault but I have my suspisicions that Lea may have had an influence on this and honestly I hate nothing good ever happening for anyone other than Rachel. 

Anyway, moving onto Props. This episode Rachel is once again being a selfish bitch appreacating nothing from ‘winning’ Prom Queen. She acts like Tina’s meltdown over being underappreaciated is unjust and that she works so hard for everything she does. While Rachel does work hard all she does is minimize how Tina feels. Tina soon has a fantasy and again the writers annoy me by trying to make it seem like Tina was wrong and Rachel deserves everything. Tina then goes to help Rachel convince Carmen to see them at Nationals. The episode ends with Tina and Rachel singing a duet together and getting onboard the bus to head to Nationals.

Up next was Nationals. In this episode Rachel runs into Jesse who is the coach of Vocal Adrenaline. Jesse tries to taunt her about looking for Carmen but Rachel knows Jesse himself is feeling insecure about Vocal Adrenaline’s fate which he admits to. As Rachel performs her solo Carmen gets there which gives Rachel the confidence to perform well. Jesse later talks to Carmen himself saying that Rachel would be a great addition to NYADA thus showing he still cares and is part of why I still love him and Rachel together. The New Directions win at Nationals and everything ends perfectly for them. The New Directions also honor Will at the Teacher of the Year event with Finn and Rachel speaking on his behalf.

Finally, we end with Goodbye. In this episode, the Senior New Directions prepare to say goodbye to high school. Rachel looks back on her time at McKinley thoughtfully and is actually looking forward to marrying Finn. She also finds out that she’s the only one accepted to her school, another thing that pissed me off, why the hell didn’t the writers let Kurt get in after his killer audition? They let him get in mid season 4 since they needed him in New York but come on! Anyway she decides to deffer her acceptance a year and stay behind with Finn. Finn, however has other plans and pretends to be driving Rachel to the church to get married when in reality he’s sending her to New York to fill her dreams, breaking up with her. He didn’t want to hold her back. Rachel relucktantly goes on the train to New York, wondering what her future will hold.

Let’s talk overview. Rachel in this half honestly was horrible. Was it the worst she’s ever been? No. But honestly she’s still way too selfish. She originally only accepted Finn’s proposal thinking she had no future and started to regret it once she did. What kind of person does that? Also she constantly put down how others were feeling if it got in her way like what she did with Tina and even not caring about Finn’s future. Honestly, I know Finn and Rachel were a popular ship but I think this half proved that they weren’t right for each other. I felt like they were the most toxic they’ve ever been in this half of the season and it was a relief when they broke up in the finale. Honestly the later seasons I liked Rachel so much more. She grew up a lot when she left Lima and also had people and events that put her in her place. I don’t hate her character but there are so many things about her that rub me the wrong way especially in the last two seasons I discussed. I hope you enjoyed this character analysis. First impressionThe first impression was very good; I was sooo excited to meet him in the first season in Arkham, I mean, Joker/John coming to Bruce’s defense?! Taking Bruce under his wing? Trying to befriend him for obscure motives? He seemed weird in a very Joker-way, keeping secrets and things, but at the same time, John seemed to be genuine in his keenness to help Bruce. The whole situation was so original I couldn’t refuse him anything.

Impression nowJohn Doe is one of the most disturbed persons in all Gotham, but also one of the sweetest. Having him as a friend must be so exhausting, as he’s really unstable, but I do believe he would mean no harm if surrounded by good people (and has the right medical treatment). Of course he steals, kills and doesn’t mind it at all, but as the same time, he would never steal or hurt from someone he loves.He’s literaly the Joker with feelings, a lot of feelings, a very twisted combination.I want to believe he’s good, just… a too much hot-tempered.

Favorite momentAt the Café Triste in season 2! I’m sad this is the only “quiet” moment for Bruce and John as friends, with nobody else, but there’s so more in one scene: I love how John asks for true advices to Bruce about women. Bruce Wayne is a playboy and some people, like Freeze, doubt the famous Wayne knows anything about love, yet, John asks advices to seduce someone he truly loves. If you give wrong advices, John looks puzzled, worst, you disappoint him.John trusts and admires Bruce, and if you play along, he starts to make his choice between Harley and Bruce.After all this, John saying to Harley “Bruce showed me how to be good, Harley. In a way you never could” was the best reward in this game.

Idea for a storyI’m fighting against the urge to write something about him, about his past since I’m pretty sure his green hair isn’t natural (whatever he says) and maybe he did fell into a tank of chemical waste. I’m already withink about who pushed him, but it’s too early to reveal it :’D

Unpopular opinionHmmm. I guess this unpopular opinion includes Harley Quinn as well, but I love their relationship. Not that I ship it, but I was surprised how Telltale reversed the roles: Joker being in love, Harley treating him like shit. It was surprising and it’s good to remind that women can be really toxic too, it shows another way of the same relationship.But maybe it’s not really an unpopular opinion?I don’t hate Harley at all for that, I like her representation in Telltale, because she really looks like a grown-up woman with a PhD, not some young girl going through her teenage angst… She’s a good character even if her past sounds like written in a hurry.

Favorite relationshipHehe. Bruce and John. Without any doubt.Joker and Batman have such an excellent chemistry (the madman and the man who is afraid to become mad), and knowing this, John and Bruce has such an awesome relationship, even if I’m not sure this friendship would be healthy for John: he admires Bruce and, as he said himself, he lost himself in all this love, but maybe they could work this out eventually?There is so much things to say about them… (ship or not, platonic or not, friends or enemies)
