so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

You know what I think is really fucked up is that this Ben obviously misses his siblings, his academy, soooo much and the narrative just..... doesn't care.

Whatever their problems were they were his siblings, his family and he watched them all die terrible tragic deaths before they ever got a chance to escape the clutches of their abusive father. And now he's stuck with this group who is insistent on seeing him as an asshole version of their ben that they and the narrative kinda act like his family never existed and that is so fucked up and such a missed opportunity.

sam is like his father. was innocent to the reality of what was going on until something bad happened and he was forced to become a monster he shouldn’t have been, all for the greater good.

dean is like his mother. cursed with the knowledge of their reality, forced to grow up in it and ready to do anything to save their counterpart from anything that tries to kill them, even at the expense of the greater good.

alex rider is kind of the best tv adaption ever made, not bc its incredibly faithful but bc it has the strength of conviction to look at the books and say "actually half this shit kinda sucks lmao." it doesnt mock the books, but it also doesnt waste time with references to appease fans. it just confidently tells its own story, and is therefore 1000x better than any strict 1:1 adaption could be

Watching the final season of Fairy Tail in English this time and I gotta say. Zeref really does just say shit like “my dearest little brother” and “my darling little brother” all the time, doesn’t he? Completely unironically! Swear to god without his curse he’d be the most annoyingly affectionate sibling. Brocon material at LEAST. I wonder if he was already like that before the curse, actually….
