you set the timer on your phone and placed it on top of the tv table, ensuring it was in the perfect position to capture your tiktok dance. taking a few steps back, you found yourself positioned perfectly in the center of the frame,

kenji was lounging on the couch, sitting cross-legged with a bag of popcorn perched on his lap.

he was engrossed in the process of stuffing his face with the salty snack, his fingers delving into the bag again and again to grab another handful of kernels.

kenji knew that when you positioned yourself with your back towards him, it was a cue that you were about to perform another tiktok dance.

however, he had no way of knowing what specific dance routine you had in mind this time.

he blinked at your back cluelessly, eyes darting from you to your phone, and back to you.

the music began and you performed the steps of the 'tyla dance challenge' arching your back graciously, your hair flipping to the side as the beat dropped.

you circled your hips, moving in precision and flawlessly. the crop top you were wearing flaunted your curves.

you raised your hands at your sides and kicked up your feet, turning around and rolling your hips in an alluring manner.

kenji froze, his mouth still open in the process of shoveling another handful of popcorn into his mouth, as his eyes caught sight of your ass.

as the popcorn bag slipped from his grip and spilled all over his lap, kenji's mind was filled with nothing but the sight of your ass.

every other thought faded away as his attention completely fixated on your curves, leaving him momentarily stunned and forgetful of the popcorn that had just been in his mouth, now tumbling onto his lap and littering his sweatpants.

but without a moment's thought, kenji pounced, darting into the scene like a hungry bird of prey. with a swift and playful move, he swept you up into his arms, causing a shriek of laughter to escape your lips.

his arms wrapped tightly around you, holding you close as he spun you around in a playful embrace. one of his palms crept down to give your ass an possessive squeeze, "mine,"

More DSB headcanons (because I wanna)

- Cardinal is either surprisingly docile or incredibly violent with criminals/rogues/villains. No in between

- Tim will just mail random shit to people he doesn't like (rats to Ra's, roaches to Lex, a card that tells the Joker to "fuck off and die in an alley")

- He has run into Lady Shiva at some point and has surprised her with the fact that he knows some of her moves (idk if you know but he trained with Lady Shiva for a little bit in canon)

- His accent switches on occasion to something totally random

True! Though Cardinal doesn't actually deal with rouges as often (the bats are always quick to cover that front and they try not to cross work paths unless nessicary, aka why the riddler fight was so far "from the usual") They are the silent hand behind the scene, and the ocassional "ghost of christmas future" like with Arthur.

The most "docile" Cardinal is, is towards Catwoman where they will pop in on her mid robbery, just stare for a sec- and then dip. And the most agressive probably with Black Mask/Joker (which yall will see eventually :) ______________________

1- When did you start playing Choices? What was the first book you played? 

I started playing in 2016, I can't remember if I read Endless Summer or Rules of Engagement first, but I ended up deleting the app after like 2 weeks cause I couldn't stop buying diamonds 😅🤦

I re-downloaded it about, ohh idk 2 years ago?

2- When and why did you join Choices fandom?

I joined the Fandom specifically on Tumblr and specifically for It Lives Within, which happened to come out right after I read the first two books 

3- How did you pick your blog name? 

I always try to seem cool and mysterious when I meet people irl, and then as soon as I open my mouth, I ruin it with some niche trivia or something, and they say,  “Oh, so you're a nerd.” 😂 Can't tell you how many times this exact phrase has been uttered to me. 

4- Pull up the first post in your archive, and tell us about it!  

This is the first Choices related post I made 😂 I was just thinking about the concept of what if characters make terrible decisions cause they're controlled by a player who is out of diamonds lol I was going to do a whole series of them (next was going to be lotr “fly on eagles to mordor?” *30 diamonds* or “simply walk”) but got lazy lol

5- Do you write fanfiction, create fan art, or are you one of those really gifted people who do both? 

Only art. God, I  WISH  I wrote too. I've thought about trying cause I have so many ideas floating around in my head, but at the end of the day, I'd rather spend my free time drawing. 

6- How long have you been creating for Choices and for any other fandoms?

For Choices, since early 2022

For other fandoms, since well, forever, but I only started posting around 2017/18

7- What is your favorite Choices book, and what is your favorite Choices book to create for?

Favorite Choices book is probably It Lives in the Woods. All of the characters were so interesting, I never got bored reading it, and it had an incredible twist that made sense but I still didn't see coming. 

Favorite to create for is probably Blades of Light and Shadow though because I am such a sucker for the fantasy aesthetic.

8- Share your first Choices fanfic or fan art that you posted with us. Do you still like it, or would you change it if you were creating it today?.

This isn't the first Choices art I made, but it IS the first I actually shared

And honestly, I DO still like it because I still remember the way I felt absolutely POSSESSED while drawing it (I hadn't drawn anything for *months*). I would definitely change the background, though. Those trees look like shit, and they're not even the correct type for the kind of forest they're in. 

9- What is your favorite piece of fiction or art that you created? 

My favorite Choices art I've done is probably this piece. 

10- Do you have a fic/art that you didn’t expect to be well received, but it was? What about one you expected to do well but found it could use a little more love?

I definitely didn't expect this one to do well at all as it was so hastily drawn

And I was sad this piece didn't get more love, it was such a dope scene and I was so excited about how the sword turned out

11- If you could only draw one style or type of art for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? 

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the question right, but if I had to pick like a specific type of art, it would be digital, and I would want to do fan art. I have a hard time painting anything that I don't already have a deep connection with (so original art with no story behind it is usually a chore for me), and digital art is just so incredibly convenient and not messy and so so versatile. 

12 - Do you ever recognize yourself in any of your MCs or in your writing?

Because I use fiction as a way to safely process trauma/ grief/ other big emotions, each MC I make has a small part of me, whichever part I feel the need to explore at the time.

There's an amazing quote by Patrick Rothfuss that I feel explains it perfectly. 

It's from Wise Man's Fear

13 - What element of writing/art do you struggle with most?

I have a very difficult time making the poses seem natural and flowing. My all time favorite art is Baroque/Renaissance style and how fluid the poses are, how soft the skin looks, how delicately it's all done. Obviously, I will always have my own style, but those are things that I so want to incorporate but never seem to get quite right, and it drives me crazy 😂

14 - Do you have any neglected work you really want to finish?

Not really. I mean, I have a ton of unfinished work, but as soon as the window of inspiration passes, I just can't get myself to care enough about it to finish it (insert Jake the Dog, “now it's gone, and I don't care about it anymore!” )

15 - If someone you know in real life (who isn’t involved in fandoms) asked to see your work, would you let them? If yes, what would you show them first? 

I would, and have.  I typically show them whatever most rendered recent picture from my Instagram because I don't post any nsfw there and usually try to post only my prettier work for this specific reason haha. (As opposed to here, I post everything here, ain't NO ONE from real life invited to see my tumblr 😂)

16 - Are there any writers (published authors and/or fanfic writers) who influenced your writing or art? Are there any artists that influence you?

Writers: Brandon Sanderson, for sure. He's the reason I got back into art back in 2017 ish. His stories are just so emotional they push me to create. Same with @saibug1022, there is always at least one scene from every story he shares that I desperately want to draw to try to capture the emotions. 

Artists: God, sooo many, here are just like my top 3 favorites and their instagrams.

Obsessed with her unique style, and specifically the way she draws eyelids and noses

JC, this is the shit I DREAM of.

Very rarely, but I do, every so often. This is my favorite original piece.

I really wanted to say that I don't believe in “good” art and “bad” art (just ethical vs non-ethical). That being said, I know what it's like to hate your art, like soooo intimately. Top 5 voices/accents by each of them? :3

ohh YES voices/accents are a huge thing for me in terms of how much I enjoy a character! Again, in no particular order:

REECE

Henry (Zanzibar). I'm a sucker for a cockney accent and he's just SO nasally, it suits his treacherous, slimy character so well. I have to wonder exactly how much Shakespeare Reece has done/studied, because the iambic pentameter flows so beautifully from him and he's able to include the almost sing-song, peak-and-trough quality of it without making it sound too structured or unnatural.

Judee Levinson. an underrated bit of vocal acting, I feel; she's breathy and feminine and fairly posh, and then occasionally you get these great vocal slips where her voice deepens and roughens and suddenly you can see through that fake exterior, just for a second (I'm specifically thinking about "it'd look like a white filling in a mouth full of rotten teeth.")

Damon (Mulberry Close). right. I've seen multiple people saying he has a west country accent, a couple saying he sounds scouse or brummie... I'll be honest, I've watched and rewatched this ep trying to figure it out and I hear summat different every time. He's in this ranking because I love an ambiguous accent, a deepened pitch, and that scene where he's kicking off at the neighbours ("she's up my arse, second shelf on the right!")

Bernice Woodall. Another accent I couldn't figure out for a while; I thought she was Welsh lmao. I know its mainly to do with the fake teeth but the hissing lisp she has is so perfect, and her voice is so versatile. With just a slight change in tone and emphasis it goes from approachable maternal woman of God to evil sadistic bitch, and I loveee it.

Brian Macmillan (Psychoville). Brian's on most of these rankings because he's really something special. His accent.... I know it's supposed to be Scottish (when I told my Scottish partner this she was uh. Confused) but its like he's forcing a transatlantic accent AND RP at the same time alongside it - I don't know if it's intentional on reece's part but its bloody good. he's a thespian, of course he has to sound refined and above his station (in a very transparent way), and the clutter of accents and dialects reflects his maximalist personality.

STEVE

David Sowerbutts (Psychoville) EDIT because I forgot to add analysis here. I don't have much, I'll be honest; I just love David and his voice is so fitting. Quietly threatening and ominous but childlike and innocent at the same time. I also want to mention Death Be Not Proud and how Steve matured his voice and speech patterns slightly to show David's age and life experience post-Maureen.

Pop (TLoG). There's something to be said for a voice that gave me nightmares as a child and elicited the flight response whenever my dad imitated it. Watching now though, rather than just being blind terrified, I can appreciate how fucking funny Steve's vocals are in their intensity. It's like he said, paraphrased - Pop is brute violence combined with sappy sentimentality, and his voice reflects that.

Pauline. How could I rank voices and not mention Pauline. She's iconic. He embodies the bleach-harsh voice of a restart officer in such a way that she can sound almost reasonable - though maybe a bit authoritarian - and switch in seconds to snarling and screaming and unnecessary cruelty. The growl in her voice when she gets angry!! And then the lightening, pitching up and trembly quality to make her sound instantly more vulnerable... god. Fuck off

Ally Welles. I don't have much to say here but Henry and Ally (though to me, specifically Ally) have some of the most distinct, effective voices of any Pembersmith character. I think we've all met someone like them before, and they likely sounded the same too. The phrase "How many killingth" will echo through the annals of time lmao.

Squires (Riddle of the Sphinx). Again, a really versatile voice. He starts off sounding so intelligent and cultured, but still approachable, kind, gentlemanly - and then when the first twist hits, without changing a thing he suddenly starts to sound very, very sinister and sleazy ("I always found it quite sexy..." ugh. *shudders*)

Swap AU:

Val wasn't too slow, he didn't come at all to Vox's distress call. He thought Vox could handle it. He spends the first 4 years as Alastor's thrall dead, as do most of the soul that Val owns. (Angel included.) Killing Valentino and the souls he owns gets old, however and sinners are getting tired of the same old pornos, so Valentino gets to go back to work, but thanks to their multiple horrible deaths, Valentino and his contracted souls are alot closer. They even have a discord server dedicated to bitching about Alastor. Now that Vox is back, they've added a sever dedicated to getting pictures of Vox for Valentino so they all don't die horrible deaths--and also, Valentino rewards everyone with every new picture with a raise of 50 dollars, so it's nice incentive.

Alastor on the other hand beside killing Valentino and his contracted souls for the first 4 years, made a shrine with Vox's heads--except for the very first one. That one he slept with. That one remain's in his (formerly Vox's) bed everyday, waiting for Alastor's return everynight so he can curl around it and murmur the words he never got to say to his beloved Vox one last time.

When Vox returns, Sir Pentious joins the hotel because Vox has always been his favorite of his favorite of the Vees, and if he's joined another Overlord and started something else, the Sir Pentious will try it out!

Angel Dust is there because he doesn't want to go through the absolute HELL the first 4 years under Alastor was, he wants no repeats. No one Valentino included DOES!

Husker actually loves working with Vox, and loves sending smirks at the very pissed off shadow Alastor (not knowing Alastor is watching from the Shadow's eyes.) and the side hugs, the cuddles, Yeah, they might piss off the Shadow and Alastor even even more but he deserves it--Vox still has nightmares about his near death.

OHH okay okay i see. that clarification. Actually made things 1000x worse for me actually im gonna throw up. this val trusting in voxs abilities to the point where it made him lose one of his best friends for years vs show val jumping to vox the moment that it became clear the other couldnt hold his own..... so sickening what the hell. the guilt that val must feel in specific for voxs disappearance and presumed death- honestly hes probably glad for dying so much those first four years because it took his mind off the fact that it was HIS fault all this happened to vox and him and vel. i just want an oddly tear filled reunion scene with the two vees where vox is like "i thought you guys just didnt think i was important enough to come help" and voxvel start actually bawling bc theyve missed him so much and theyre so glad he's back and *safe*. also the discord server inclusion is hilarious as hell thank you for that mental image nonny

oh my GODD thats actually so sweet im gonna be sick. i just know those former heads are kept clean and swept everyday both by niffty and alastor himself, and the one in his bed is probably propped up by all the most comfortable pillows while alastor himself just goes without a pillow.... I read your answer about 07 Mikey and it also kinda gives the vibes of Bayverse Mikey, specifically the version of him from the second movie. His main thing is that he wants to be out in the world and meeting new people, and he actually cries when the police turn on them and call them monsters. Im genuinely so obsessed with that scene.

I'm kinda new to the fandom and as I understand the bayverse movies are so-so in most people's opinion. But those were my initial entry point into the franchise back in like 2015/2017, so they do hold a special place in my experience.

For the actual ask: thoughts on Bayverse Mikey?

OHH OHHHH BAYVERSE MIKEY!! i do actually very much like those movies. like yourself, a big part of it is just nostalgia because i got into tmnt like as they were coming out but. they aren’t like the WORST movies ever. they have their flaws and there’s definitely a lot of things i do not like about them but.. im one of the few that will hype this movie up so. thank you for enabling me.

off the bat i wanna say everything about bayverse mikey is special to me. completely ignoring and erasing the whole. awkward weird april crush he had going on. bayverse mikey is actually so enjoyable. he’s funny he’s just Typical little brother but oh my god is he so sad :( again he’s just the perfect culmination of that whole “sociable extrovert forced to be introvert” type that most of his iterations are but this one.. this version just hits different.

one of my favourite plot points ever is that when it’s revealed that there is a very real chance that they could become human and live normal lives, the first thing leo does upon discovering this is make it VERY clear that mikey is not to find out. of course, it takes all but 10 seconds for him to find out because raph has overhears and gets SUPER offended on his brothers behalf (again. something they do SO WELL is the mikey and raph duo in this movie vs leo and a begrudging donnie, something not often done!) and of course, mikey is just so conflicted the entire movie and it’s wonderful.

he’s so tortured in that sequel. he’s SO desperate for a normal life. he has the chance, right there and leo basically snatches it out of his grasp and he kinda just rolls with it because it’s his brothers or nothing at the end of the day, and that’s SO SAD!! but going back to the whole point of leo being up in donnie’s grill like “yeah ok whatever there’s a retromutgen keep that under wraps, mikey is to NOT find out about this” just proves that each of his brothers understand how much their brother is hurting for a life of normality. i think i made a list once regarding which turtles would be most likely to want to be human/live amongst the humans and mikey almost always came up on top.

he’s always the “cool party fun dude” which is often code for comic relief character but when you look into it. these are characters that are forced into a hard, cruel life away from society. characters that for a good 15ish years, only know each other and their father. imagine mikey spending all that time, desperate for normality and for friends… like yeah he has his bros but he knows there’s more out there in the world and he wants it so much more than the others do.. and that’s why leo gets hot on donnie about keeping the retromutagen a secret. he knows what mikey will be thinking. he’s watched him play it out a million times over as kids, and leo is just so afraid that in giving him a choice, he’ll lose his brother because of it…

and when mikey does get to experience the world for the first time, he’s called a monster and almost killed. leo warned him of it and yet he still had faith that he had a place in the world only to be proven wrong almost instantly.. that’s so devastating. i remember sobbing in the theatres during that scene and i still do shed a tear when i rewatch because damn!!! mikey being sad is so gutwrenching:(((

Ok so… That lake thing was wild. Or so i thought, before Chu Wanning TURNED INTO A FUCKING KID. Like what the hell? He is either adorable or absurdly scary, no in between. I'm loving this so far.

I looked at that illustration in the book when I first got it  and I was more than confused because I couldn’t tell who was who. And for a moment I legit was like Is Chu Wanning a child? But then I was like NAAAAH CAN’T BE. Welp. Here we are :)))))) 

1. TL;DR: Chu Wanning is a horny lonely loser (affectionate)

Chu Wanning and his dreams. I have a hunch it's somehow a glimpse into their previous life. No idea how it would occur but that scene seems like something that might have happened?

It seems rather interesting to me that THIS would be Chu Wanning's fantasy. I couldn’t help but wonder if it isn’t because that’s the only way he would allow himself the pleasure. Because ultimately he doesn’t get to have a choice in that scenario. It takes away the guilt of lusting over his disciple. So maybe that’s where it came from. And, moreover, this is Mo Ran who wants CWN. Wants him so badly he can’t contain himself. I just found it really interesting that of all scenarios, CWN dreams of that one. I don’t know why I kept thinking about it but here we are ig lol

Also, Mo Ran destroyed his golden core in his past life? Did I miss that in vol 1? Because ohh :c. Or it wasn't Mo Ran???  

2. TL;DR: I’m gonna get hurt so so so bad

Mo Ran smiled. “Yep. Cause I’m closest with you, and I know you’d never lie to me.” Shi Mei was still hesitant. “That’s true, but…”

Welp. Based on community’s reactions that’s gonna hurt like motherfucker. I fucking know that line is there for a reason. I fucking know it. The reason is to break my heart. And isn’t it like a second time Shi Mei says something about not lying to Mo Ran? I WONDER WHY. (i might have remembered it wrong tbh but this part is there and is tormenting me)

3. TL;DR: Mo Ran’s emotional intelligence is at most equal to emotional intelligence of a lettuce (one that’s been sitting in the back of your fridge for weeks because you forgot about it); Also, Shi Mei is sweet and kind and i don’t believe any of you anymore. He can’t hurt a soul. 

Mo Ran is very adamant on hating Chu Wanning. He wants to hate him. He needs to hate him. As if he was scared of the feelings that might be left if he does not hate him. That part is specifically in relation to his conversation with Shi Mei and how uncomfortable he’s gotten when Shi Mei started going on and on about how Chu Wanning isn’t really all that bad. 

And then that part with the umbrella happened and I really wish it was from Mo Ran’s perspective, because for the love of god I have no idea what his intentions are. It seemed like a really bad and failed flirting attempt. Like me when I asked this guy that was in a band in school to tune my guitar but it was in fact in tune and it was just embarrassing tbh But it could be just him trying to be nice for whatever reason  and CWN overreacting because he is strong and independent and he doesn't need (no man) anyone. 

I’m really puzzled at Mo Ran tho. And, like, that’s not a bad thing. There is this part of him that hates Chu Wanning with every fiber in his body. But he also admires him deeply as a teacher and maaaybe tiny bit as a person. There is both disdain and interest. Hatred and kindness. His whole (other) life it seems like he had this image of Chu Wanning that was coldblooded and ruthless. And i feel like it’s shattering now that he starts to notice how it wasn’t really the case. But still it’s hard for him to put those two pieces together so he really tries to choose one. It’s really telling when he can’t answer Shi Mei’s question ab if he dislikes Shizun.

ALSO SHI MEI IS SO SWEET AND KIND I DONT BELIEVE ANY OF YOU. HE CANT BE EVIL. He can't be evil... He can't...

4. I’m just wondering why the thing that happened at the lake (i don’t remember how it’s spelled so it’s going to be THE LAKE) was so different to how it went the first time MR was there. Basically the one major change he’s purposefully made was that he stole money from Rong Jiu and didn’t fall for his trap. Could it be somehow connected? Because otherwise the events should be the same unless something was changed. And the only thing i can think of right now that he influenced in major way, is that whole deal with Rong Jiu. The ghost marriage "arc" ended more or less the same, didn't it? I might be mixing shit up but oh well.

Also, I saw a post the other day in which op was talking how Mo Ran’s love for Chu Wanning was clear to them from the very beginning. Op said they don’t understand how others might not get it and since i’m the one that wasn’t that keen on the idea at first, i decided to elaborate a bit on points i made after first 20 chapters or so, this time trying not to be as much of a clown (hopefully).

Well, I’ve seen the title of the book and I know they're gonna end up together one way or another. But its complicated and messy and I would even go as far as to say that’s the point? And, ironically it's also in the title. A dog and a cat. At first glance they are so different it seems almost impossible for them to get along. At first glance Chu Wanning and Mo Ran felt too different to be able to get along as well. There was too much resentment and too much things left unsaid (and unnoticed). After reading only first 20 chapters i was told that 1. Chu Wanning is ruthless and cruel 2. Mo Ran hates him. 3. Mo Ran is horny for him. Only with time as I was reading further, it turned out that they both care for each other in ways they themselves have a hard time explaining. 

I also don’t think sexual attraction equals everlasting love. And like, the fact that Mo Ran doesn’t get hard at the sight of Shi Mei isn’t telling me anything about his feelings. Does he really love him too much to have a single impure thought about him? Or does he not realize he doesn’t like him that way? Does he love him platonically? I don’t know. I’m for sure lacking context in this situation. That’s the point. I want to read it with my mouth open agape as I get to know those characters more and as slowly my first impression changes. Right now, based on what i’ve been presented by the book I adore Mo Ran’s puppy love for Shi Mei. But as i’m on chapter 50, I see it as just that, a puppy love.  

I don’t want to argue who to ship, because that’s not the point im trying to make xD I just think my hesitation to picture CWN and MR together after first 20 chapters was not that weird. I know it will happen and i’m curious to see how long it will take those idiots to realize their feelings for eachother and express them. I know they are meant to be. But they themselves don’t know that yet. And it feels like they try their best to ruin every chance they get lol I’m also curious where those feelings come from. Why Mo Ran became so obsessed with CWN.

There is foreshadowing, there are those little and not so little things scattered across that slowly become more meaningful the more context you add on top of them. But those alone, in my opinion aren’t enough to be convinced with utmost certainty from page one that the main characters are in fact in love. It’s more complicated than that and that’s why I enjoy it a lot and i enjoy when the books makes me believe one thing to then make me realize it wasn't ever that simple. Am I making sense? Will: Normal goes up to hermie, he says-

Normal: Hermie. We will come back for you. I pinky promise.

Anthony: He reaches out with his burned hand.

[Several gasp]

Anthony: And pinky promises you. And says--

Hermie: You know what happens if you break this promise? I don't think I have to tell you.

Hermie: Oh you will.

Normal: But that's not going to happen because we're going to come back! You know what? Because you're part of this team, Hermie. You came all the way to this realm to help us and you're a great actor and we believe in you and you're going to do a great job. And then we're going to come back and we're going to get you!

Normal: [quietly] Hermie, I'm like, pretty nervous about talking to my dad. Do you have any like, advice? Like, you seem really wise and like you know what you're doing and you're really confident. And like... I'm really nervous about talking to my dad about this stuff. And like, should should I not talk about it? Should I just pretend every, like- How do I pretend everything is fine? You're good at pretending stuff...

Normal: [in a poorly tuned cheer] Hermie, Hermie, he's our man! Just don't let... just get back out here, man!

Anthony: he's in- he's in darkness, he hars that. All he saw was taylor come in, and all of a sudden he feels better, and he's like-

Hermie: Thanks, Taylor!

Normal: [pained yelling] No!!!

Will: Okay, Hermie's in front of me, in front of the tree, in front of the exit?

Anthony: Yeah

Will: in just going to go run to Hermie and, uhh... [laughs] just like Hermie's really the actual football of this scene-

Matt: soccer ball, yeah

Will: Yeah. Once I get to him I will cast 'Cure Wounds' on Hermie to heal him

Anthony: Oh shit, okay

Will: [dice roll] he's got 8 hit points

Normal: Hermie! We gotta stop meetin' like this!

Will: And then Normal kind of shakes off Henry and cranks the thermostat up, back to season 2. And turns to Hermie and says-

Normal: Hermie, wha- how are you- what? ...what's going on? Are you? Did you? I don't even know, what did, you're like a- what?

Link: he just has two dads, man. Why are you weird about that?

[Group laughter]

Normal: one of the dads us really weird! He's got like a-

Anthony: No, hermie is actually looking at you --Even despite his joker makeup-- more pale than usual. And he goes-

Normal: So you've never seen that guy, the weird hell guy or the weird fedora guy in your whole life? You don't know who either of them are?

Hermie: No, I've met my grandparents and it's not... it's not these people. So I have no Idea...

Hermie: I was so ready to be all poison ivy sexy and stuff, and then this happened and I don't even know which-

Normal: Well, you can still be poison ivy sexy if you want to! You can be whoever you want!

Anthony: And he touches you on the nose and he goes-

Hermie: I know I can.

Normal: you know what we're gonna do, Hermie? We're gonna put this mystery? This adventure? This is going on the list too. This is going to be a side adventure that we try to solve while we're solving the main adventure, okay? So we're going to figure out what the deal is here.

Hermie: Okay... alright, I mean I'll deal with this mysel- I'm going to go internal now. I'm going to do the Stanislofsky method, I'm going to-

Normal: No! Hermie! You need to embrace this. You don't need to be the joker, or poison ivy or two-face. You don't need to be any of those characters! You can just be you, it's ok!

Hermie: I also got hit with a cone of cold, so I'm kind of Mr. Freeze.

Normal: Okay well, you don't need to be any- just like- you know...?

Anthony: And he looks down and keeps just muttering it to himself.

Normal: Yeah, Hermie, it seems like we learned a lot about you last week. Uh, how are you feeling about all this?

Hermie: I mean, in order to feel anything I'd have to be focusing on it which I can't because I'm too busy keeping [batman voice] Gotham safe from criminals!

Normal: [gasps] there he is!

Hermie: [deeper] I'm feeling- im feeling cold towards you as well.

Link: Oh! Towards me?

Taylor: is that Mr. Freeze?

Normal: Sh, he's going through a lot right-

Hermie: [deeper] yes, this is my Mr. Freeze voice. Yes.

Normal: he's going through a lot right now, he keeps disassociating. He's not ready to deal with his dad stuff.

Hermie: [deeper] you're disassociating!

Hermie: You know what we could do is two weeks is almost a perfect amount of time to rehearse and mount a little production. We could do a little play? Put Scary's mind off it, get her- get her head into character

Normal: we could do a play! What we could do also is [will laughing] play dungeons and dragons!

Hermie: That's great! But who's going to be the DM?

Normal: huh?

Hermie:...who's going to be the DM?

Link: so, Normal, they don't know what you saw. We just need to give them some sort of impossible puzzle that all them need to figure out, like some sort of equation or something you saw in the doodler, and be like "Hey, help us out with this!"

Normal: Oh, like a riddle!

Link: a riddle! And we slide it under the door!

Normal: Oh! Hermie!

Link: and that will stop them from killing each other because they're all going to need to work together

Hermie: did somebody say...

Anthony: And he turns around... and he's wearing a bowler hat with a question mark on it.

Hermie:...Riddle?

Normal: Yeah, Hermie! You're super smart at coming up with this sort of stuff!

Top 5 nightwing v2 moments and top 5 foods

ohh my godd nightwing 96 my beloved. truly some of the most INSANE character arcs and dialogues of all time. i still cant pick!

okay so i dont really remember which issues are V2 so if some of these are wrong just use your imagination, my fav moments from nightwing v2 in no specific order::

dick expressing his love and pride for tim. goshh that scene really was everything. dick watching and admiring tim just like people used to admire dick, feeling confident in his little brother and how much he's learning and how he's oh so better than him.

"God, I love that kid. I love him too much to let him see me like this."

especially with what comes after! tim actually taking the time to come to dick and ask him how he felt about the adoption. tim tells dick that bruce still needs him, needs to believe that dick is on his side, and by extension tim needs dick too. and dick's response! his justified anger bc he's in such a bad place rn and he does not wanna here about bruce's fake promises, especially coming from tim.

"Remember how I once told you that Batman needed a Robin? Well that's still true.

But even more than that, he... he needs you. You know, not like every second or whatever, but at the end of the day he needs to know that you're still on his side. It's...important."

and what does dick say?

YOU--! --You have no idea how much of my life I've wasted believing that was true.

3. the scene where roy comes to check up on dick?? hello??

AND THEN- THE PUNCH. OUGH.

he is trying to keep roy away, if he keeps him at arm's length, makes sure he doesn't come back, then he won't get hurt. this is dick's mess and dick needs to fix it. classic deflection trick from the bat-book. he also doesn't want roy to see him like this. dick envies roy's sense of self...his ability to stay even when things get tough.

4. the blockbuster monolgue scene... truly one of the best nightwing villains. feeding into dick's guilt complex... u can never go back and the way forward is washed with the consequences of your sins. it's an understatement when i say i lost my MIND reading this.

5. when dick goes to meet helena and she tells him

baby hi ^^ i had started vinland saga a few years ago but i dropped it after the second season because, hm, i feel like the anime made such an abrupt change, i thought i wanted to see more of the war and thorfinn's fight and revenge and in this s2 i meet a totally different thorfinn. someone passive, submissive, quiet.

I guess back then I didn't have the maturity or state of mind to appreciate season 2, but now I think I have only five episodes left and I can't express how much the quietness of this season has touched my soul.

as for favorite characters, only askeladd and thorfinn. others that i like a lot are snake and canute, although they are not favorites. and about my favorite scenes… god. i don't feel it's a specific scene but certain key moments in the anime where thorfinn realizes he has no enemies. for example one scene i really loved is when those idiots destroy his wheat crop, and he and einar fight them and thorfinn ends up unconscious and dreaming of his father; the dialogue, the scene, thorfinn's guilt, the regret of his deeds, the cause of everything he's done now biting at his heels, it's beautiful as explained in the series, along with the message that violence is the last option

another favorite moment is when thorfinn calls himself "empty" for no longer feeling vengeance and not knowing what to fill himself with now that he no longer feels anything.

thorfinn saying he wants to have a world without slavery is so important to me too, these are key moments for the peak of his evolution as a character to me

ohh! askeladd dying in his arms is so important to his character development too, what a scene omg.

Ohh there's very little logic to who I follow back honestly, it depends more on what I'm doing when I open the notification than anything else. I'll nearly always follow back unless I miss the notification or the person obviously hates one of my ships, or posts only stuff I don't recognise. So I think the answer is. . . follow me. . . then if I don't follow you back, there's probably no reason for that so spam me with notifications or just ask and I'll follow back lol. Characterisation that feels too off to me. Honestly, too much swearing for some reason? (I swear all the time irl, and there will be some amount of somebody saying 'fuck' in every sex scene I write probably, but I find it really distracting when characters are very sweary in the sort of situation we see them not-sweary in canon.)

And then things that are like. . . trigger-y for me, which are just specific things that happen in smut that are very Not For Me and I need to nope out for my sanity.

14) favorite "controversial" horror film

Maniac. Yes yes, it's horribly violent and grimy and it makes you feel like you want to have a shower once it's done, that's the point and it makes it extremely well, but also it has a super incredible Tom Savini head explosion, and I'm such a slut for that. Kinda like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer without any wildly inaccurate "true story" claims, so it gets to go way way over the top with it!

63) favorite 70s horror film

Deep Red! It's a murder mystery, it's inexplicably supernatural, it's having an interesting conversation about gender with itself, it's full of creative kills and bright strawberry red fake blood, it's legitimately creepy, it's brilliantly shot... I could go on, I love that movie.

49) favorite horror film score/soundtrack

Candyman. That score gives me chills, and I think it perfectly highlights the dark romantic themes of the movie. Philip Glass really looked at this script and said "Ohh I get it, he's a Dracula" and he was SO RIGHT. Second place definitely goes to Suspiria though, that one also has an incredible score, and I will occasionally just sit and listen to it.

50) favorite horror film that takes place during your favorite season/time of year/holiday

Ginger Snaps! I don't know how it isn't more acknowledged as a halloween movie, that's the whole reason she gets away with being a wolf at the end! The climax happens at a halloween party! Also, unrelated, this movie has one of my favorite Horror Movie Moms I've ever seen, I think she's so funny and she steals every scene she's in.

43) favorite black and white horror film

Ok, I'm torn here between The Invisible Man, and The Bad Seed. On the one hand, The Invisible Man is a pre-code technical marvel with groundbreaking hand-done painstaking effects that still hold up to this day, and it's high-camp and hilarious. Jack Griffon is a chaotic bastardous gremlin of a man and I love him so much. On the other hand, The Bad Seed is a very fun example of an early stage-to-film adaptation in a post-code era that, upon conforming to film standards of the time, becomes even more high-camp and hilarious than the original production. Rhoda Penmark is a manipulative conniving murderous genius nine-year-old and I love her so much. Also. Oh my god. If you haven't seen The Bad Seed. The hays code dictated that you had to kill your villain in the end, no matter what, and you will never in a million years guess how they do it here.

38) favorite horror film that you physically own

Phone. It's a Korean film from 2002 and it freaks me oooooooout!! It's about a journalist who has to go into hiding after she writes a reputation-ruining piece about a sex scandal, and the guy involved starts sending threatening phonecalls. And she just. happens to hide out in the worst possible place for this. I saw it on xfinity's horror channel way back in the day, and once I started growing my dvd collection as an adult, I sought it out specifically.
