Trauma culture is constantly doing those "Do you have trauma" quizes online and whenever the quiz concludes "Yeah ur probably traumatized pls get therapy" that other little voice in ur head says "No, the quiz got it wrong, do another one" so you just keep doing this over and over and over till you run out of online trauma quizzes to use
Can I say something about this actually?
I’m going to be blunt, but keep in mind that this is (experienced) opinion only—no online quiz can properly gauge whether someone has trauma or not. Trauma is entirely too complex for that, and frankly, and I personally worry about them floating around because people may take them too seriously, regardless of what results they get.
But that’s out of my hands. The thing I want to impress upon you, anon, and anyone else reading this, is that if you feel like you need or want to talk to someone, in a professional capacity or otherwise, then do so. Because you’re feeling that way for a reason and there is no rule that says that only people with trauma benefit from counseling or therapy. Moreover, talking to a real person can really help you work through your thoughts and feelings, and maybe you’ll figure out more about yourself or anything you might be concerned about.
I’m not trying to admonish anyone for engaging with those quizzes, don’t worry. Sometimes that helps make you feel better, sometimes it’s the validation you need to not feel like you’re being dramatic, and that’s good. I just wanted to put that out there since it came up.

taught my best friend how to commute going to her new rotation hospital, ran lots of errands and waited for her until the end of her shift (1pm to 9pm) at starbucks, catching up on a very needed and overdue study session for the national quiz bee on the 20th.
had a very sore back and it was my first time ordering drinks twice at starbucks ?? usually my quota would be: 1 drink (usually cold foam iced shaken espresso) and 1 food (usually a flatbread) but since I had to stay there for 7hrs, I ordered drinks twice 😬
It was a very, very productive day. I was able to go though a lot of topics, especially with airway management and neonatal diseases !!
++ my friend's dad picked us up and for the first time, I didn't feel guilty since I literally just live around the corner from them now, haha

you swallow pain & fold around it
you have always hurt. you hold it carefully, and twisted in such a way that other people don't have to see it. you don't choke on it. you don't drown. you just have it, the way some people have freckles, this is a thing that lives in your bones. you fold instead of fighting because you know how to make yourself small, tuck away the places where they have clawed at, swallow the bruises so you seem clean. nobody needs to see it. you will live through this on your own. you know what you need, and relief isn't it. this doesn't mean you cannot reach out - it means it is not in your nature to do so. you should. hiding does not mean you won't be seen. I stole this from a friend because quizzes are fun, but... wheezes. Yeah that’s about right honestly. Hide the hurt under layers of bluster and bullshit until no one notices anything but that.  QUIZ - Free tag to anyone who wants to do it!
