I got the Veilguard art book cause I was curious about the snippets I saw elsewhere, specifically that the art book talks about details as though they ended up in the final product.

Which it does and it's weird, haven't gone through the whole thing but like

LUCANIS HAD A ROOM??!??? THEY GAVE THAT BITCH A ROOM?!? WHY DOES HE SLEEP IN THE PANTRY?!? WHAT CUTS DID THAT TO THE MAN?!? DID THEY JUST WRITE HIS ASS AND GO LIKE "oh, no, he's too traumatized for a proper room, put him in the one place in the Lighthouse that most resembles his prison in the Ossuary besides Rook's literal fish tank having ass room. Totally not because his shit got lost in the shuffle between MMORPG->multiplayer->single player along with a few key areas and plot details"

I'm convinced his room is still in the Lighthouse but the Caretaker saw his traumatized ass walk in and was like "oh, he so won't be sleeping in his actual room. He still doesn't believe he's a real person or deserves nice things after 300+ days of torture and having a demon shoved into him". And now it's endlessly tumbling around the Lighthouse in the Fade like the debris until Lucanis goes to therapy enough to sleep or at least accept being comfortable.

I like how dramatic the Crows are, as like, a staple. I know they kinda watered them down a bit from whatever the FUCK they did to Zevran (I like to think in universe the house Zevran belonged to was particularly brutal and over the years they started phasing out the more horrific shit cause CLEARLY that training didn't hold well over time). It could also be that we only interact with the Big Houses, who probably have more stringent training. Like, they have Standards, and that sort of conditioning probably doesn't make very stable assassins long term.

Or maybe they just don't talk about that shit with Rook. Also possible.

Could be anything really, cause Bioware also tries to convince us that there aren't any brothels or shady shit in Treviso. As though I believe someone basically up for First Talon hasn't had seduction training, at the very least so HE doesn't fall for that shit on a contract. He may not use it on contracts but I ROMANCED THAT FUCKER AND THERE AINT NO WAY IN HELL HE DIDNT AT LEAST DABBLE.

He's absolutely a demiromantic/sexual icon tho, no doubt. "OI! GET BACK HERE!" the girl said, recklessly running through the halls trying to catchup. in the courtyard was Reese, a blonde haired boy who was just walking through until…

The same girl crashed into him, while the bean shaped creature ran into a tree. "ugh…" the both of them groaned in pain from the impact, two others ran beside them, one with an orange pompadour and one with wild strawberry blonde hair.

"Pft- hahaha! that was the funniest thing I've seen all day!" the one with wild hair exclaimed. "augh… buzz off Malady…" the black haired girl said. "Reese! Kiki! are you alright" Said the one with the pompadour. "oh yeah! we're fine Kingsley!" Reese said, smiling seemingly unaffected by the impact "speak for yourself" said Kiki, who was rubbing the back of her neck in pain. "hey, how come you were running through the halls?" Malady said, eyes wandering elsewhere as if he was bored. "yeah! you know thats not allowed, right??" Kingsley stated as he turned his head in confusion.

"well yeah, of course I do dummy" Kiki paused "the only reason why I was running was because of… THAT!" she pointed to the trees, everyone turned their heads to follow her finger, landing on small creature with an eerie resemblance to the girl, just as it threw an apple at Kingsley's head.

"EEP!" Kingsley dodged out of the way, the apple landing directly in Malady's face. "HA!!!!! THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR LAUGHING AT MY MISFOURTUNE!" Kiki yelled, almost triumphantly, as Reese started giggling, Kingsley looking at Malady with concern. "augh… NOT FUNNY!" Malady said while stomping his foot and crossing his arms, pouting.

"got stuck with tsum-sitting, did you?" Reese asked, Kiki nodded her head, standing up. "yeah, that things been giving me trouble all day, and now its stolen my phone! the little brat…" She said while checking her nails, making sure they didn't get scuffed. "heh, sounds pretty familiar…" Malady said looking over at her "Hey! that things nothing like me!" Stomping her own foot, in a similar way to Malady. "Ok princess, Keep tellin yourself that" Malady said with sarcasm.

"Guys!" Kingsley exclaimed "we're gonna have to get it down…" looking up at the tree again, as the tsum seemed to be taking selfies. "hmm…" the group wondered, trying to find a way to get her down.

"OH!" Reese exclaimed "Ive got just the thing!" he said as he ran off. " Hey! wait!" said Kingsley, extremely worried about what he was about to do. "ugh, guess we'll have to wait here…" Kiki said while sitting on the floor again. "yeah…" Malady said "… you guys wanna play block battle on my holowrist?" he said, sitting down next to Kiki, showing his wristband which played a hologram of a game. "hell yeah I do!" said Kiki. "uh, sure!" said Kingsley, who sat next to both of them.

A few minutes later, the blonde hair boy returned with a box…

"Hey your back!" said Kingsley, standing up with the rest of the group "whatdya get?" he asked. "the thing that will get that tsum down!" Reese said, walking over, opening the box, everyone peering inside to reveal…

"UGH!!" Kiki recoiled back "WHY'D YOU BRING YOUR GROSS BUG HERE!"

"hey! Billy's not gross!" Reese defended. "who cares whos what, lets just get that thing outta the tree" Malady said, clearly sick of this.

"alright, operation Billy is a go!" Reese said, as the bug flew into the tree, a tsum rushing out soon after.

"HA, GOTCHA!!!" Kiki said as she catched the tsum, the creature itself trying to run away but failing as Billy flew back into the box. "thank you Billy!" Reese said as he closed the box.

the group let out a collective sigh, finally done with this ordeal as the sun set over the school.

"woah, we must of taken longer than I thought, we already gotta go back to our dorms." Kingsley looked over into the corridor that would lead them into the mirror room "alright, betta get goin then" Malady said, placing his arms behind his head already walking away. "wait up!!" Kiki said as she ran after him, Kingsley and Reese following suit.

Wriothesley was not a man of superstition. He did not kneel at the altars until his knees bled, he did not pray until his voice gave out– he did not, contrary to popular belief, suffer divine punishment for his apparent lack of respect.

After all, what Divine would look so deep beneath the waves just for a glimpse of the sinners that inhabit it?

Not them, evidently.

He hadn't slept in the past four days, though. There was a heavy air of something where ever he walked– it followed him like a thick fog, lingering and choking him until it dragged him to his knees like a chain. His thoughts inevitably linger on the striking, extravagant letter so conveniently adorning his desk at the fortress– the broken wax seal, the letter tucked into his pocket.

He'd recognize the seal of the Iudex any day. Wasn't often he spoke to him– but the shaky, distorted words hastily etched into the paper made him pause. Neuvillette always had a steady hand– elegant, flowing script that him of flowing water.

It had kept him up for days.

The implications were..haunting. He'd poured over the letter for hours, illuminated only by faint light of his desk lamp. Yet no matter how many times he tries to see what must be hidden beneath the ink, the paper itself even, he finds nothing but the shaky script of a request that sends a bolt of pure frost through his veins.

He noticed, of course, the odd goings on of Fontaine. He'd heard vague whispers of the Divine's hunt for the imposter– he'd heard, too, of the ceaseless rain pelting Fontaine until even he wondered if the nation would finally sink beneath the waves.

It didn't, though. And that only made it all the more odd. Days of constant rain, just for it to stop suddenly..he tugged his coat tighter around him, throwing up the hood of the cloak clasped even tighter over it with a grunt as he leaned around the corner of the alleyway.

He didn't believe in superstition, but this was too hard to ignore as a simple weather anomaly.

Maybe that was why he ignored his gut– he knew that this was probably a trap, at the very least it was suspicious. But damn it, he couldn't ignore the instinct to follow the only lead he had.

His boots clicked against the rain stricken streets as he stalked through the shadows, mindful of the clinking of machine patrols just a few streets away. Yet every step felt heavier then the last as he took a long, good look at the Palais Mermonia. He almost considered bringing out his gauntlets, but he thought better of it– if it came down to it, he needed information. And he would need whoever was waiting for him alive for that– the dead don't speak and all that.

The letter's directions led him in a..rather roundabout entrance to a secluded room, evidently, as he lifted his hand and quietly knocked against the door. Two rapid knocks, pause, another knock, pause, four knocks. It doesn't take long until he hears the latch of the door unlock.

The leather of his gloves creaks as he clenches his fists, adjusting his stance. He's ready for a fight, if he must, but as the door quietly slides open he feel the weight on his shoulders relax slightly– the familiar, sharp features of Neuvillette meets him. He almost reflexively smiles at the way his pupils turn into thin slits, a momentary surprise that he quickly hides well behind a cough and the creak of the door as he pulls it open fully.

"Wriothesley. I see my letter has found you well. Please, come in." Polite as ever, Neuvillette steps aside to let him in, but he can see the exhaustion lining his features– the bags under his eyes aren't as well hidden as he thinks, at least to him. "Bit odd to be inviting me all the way out here in the middle of the night, don't you think?"

His tone is smooth as he steps into the room, brushing down his hood and glancing at Neuvillette over his shoulder, watching as he shuts and locks the door behind him.

"I apologize for the..less then ideal circumstances, but I'm certain you will understand when you see for yourself." He wants to retort, but the Iudex beats him to it, vaguely motioning to the room behind him. An invitation– but he wonders if it's worth taking.

His gut says no, but he's feeling a little risky today, he supposes.

He turns back slowly, barely able to make out the two figures he'd missed on the first glance on the other side of the room– though it's hard to mistake the flourish of the Hydro Archon, even in the dark. It's the other figure that makes the breath hitch in his throat, though.

Or maybe, more accurately, it freezes. So does his blood, his whole body even, locked in stasis for a long, tense moment– he can't see them clearly, but his instincts are going haywire. He can feel his vision almost rattle where it rests against his left shoulder, cold leaking through the layers of clothes and into his skin until he has to fight to suppress a shiver.

He'd always fancied himself the hunter– he was the one who dealt with unsavory folks, in the end. But he felt like a rabbit pinned beneath the crosshairs of a gun this time. He could almost feel the teeth of the bear trap snapping shut around him, crushing bone and flesh beneath cold metal.

For a long moment he thinks he feels fear.

And with a sharp click and a burst of light, it's gone and he takes a raspy, choked breath as he blinks away the blurriness in his vision, taking in the room illuminated by the lamp.

He's not sure what he sees is better, though.

Because his body knows that their Divinity is as real as the blood running through his veins.

So why do they remind him so much of himself? Why does he see the look of the boy who died in a pool of blood not his own in them?

It is a sick, cruel kind of familiar.

Wriothesley didn't believe in superstition– but that was born of the unknown. He knew, now. He could reach out and touch the truth with his own two hands.

The throne of the world was a lie.

The thing sitting on it bled red. And if it bled, it could die.

He clenched his fists tighter– and released, letting his shoulders slump with a huff and a half hearted chuckle. "I wasn't expecting you to be in possession of a wanted criminal when you sent me that letter." He could see the gears whirring in their heads, the subtle dampness in the air reminding him just how delicate a situation it truly was.

He wasn't particularly inclined to getting blasted by a jet of water today.

"Relax, I'm not going to spill to anyone else. Seriously– don't get my jacket wet. It's expensive and a nightmare to dry." His lips quirk into a half smile, but it twists into something almost genuine at the laugh covered up by a cough he hears from the Divine. Bingo.

"It's fine, Neuvillette. Let him go." Their voice is like honey dripping from their lips, and he has to close his jaw with his hand before they can see the way it dropped in his surprise. "Of course, most Divine. My apologies." He relaxes at the sharp click of his heels as he joins them on the bed, his posture far more relaxed then he's ever seen. The Hydro Archon, much to his confusion and amusement, is far too invested in playing with their hair to pay much attention to him now that things have calmed, evidently.

Huh.

They seemed pretty cozy about it, he noted. He guesses they three of them had some time to get acquainted.

"So..who's going to explain what the hell is going on?" He probed, crossing his arms over his chest and watching the three carefully– they all looked tired, but even through the exhaustion neither seemed inclined to stray too far from the Divine. "And what exactly your plan is? You can't keep hiding them here forever. Someone will sniff them out sooner or later."

"We are aware," Neuvillette interjects, lips pursed into a thin line and his thin brows furrowed. "But as I'm sure you've noticed, the hunt for the..forgive me, most Divine, but the hunt for the alleged imposter is still at it's peak."

He grumbles in acknowledgment, hanging up his cloak by the door and sliding out of his heavy coat, resting it over the back of a nearby chair. "Hm. Suppose that's why the patrols are so common now a days."

"I'm afraid so. As you can imagine, we cannot simply ask them to..stop the search. It would draw unwanted attention and suspicion. The Divine would be found immediately if we tried to bring them out of the city at the moment." Neuvillette added, looking proper and elegant, despite the circumstances– even in the face of the Divine and the Archon turning on him and tugging his hair into intricate braids. "So I hope you understand that it was a great risk to send you that letter."

He rubs his chin, huffing in amusement– a solid plan, maybe, but his power didn't extend too far out of the Fortress. He had his connections, sure, but what use were they when he had to get the, uh, "imposter" out of Fontaine? Smuggling them out wouldn't be easy, and then there's the point of where to take them they'd have to contend with.

"Yeah, yeah– I get it. But it's not like I can just smuggle them out or keep them in the fortress. Even if we got them out of the city, we'd have to find somewhere to bunker down, and if someone spots any of us lingering there.." Archons, what a mess he'd gotten himself into. He was really looking forward to the next time he could kick his feet up with a cup of tea.

"I understand. I have already made plans, in fact." Neuvillette hesitates, and he can feel the temperature drops a few degrees. "I..cannot share them in full at the moment, but it is not for a lack of trust." Neuvillette reasoned, hands folded neatly in his lap– not that it hid the way they shook slightly. He wanted to ask, but he thought better of it.

"Eh, I don't hold it against you. The walls have ears, even up here." He deflected, running a hand through his hair. He really hoped Sigewinne wouldn't ask too much when he gets back. "I trust your judgment." He hesitates for a long moment, pulling out a simple, neatly folded letter of his own.

"Memorize the code words, then burn it. I'll be waiting for your next letter." He murmurs, plucking his coat and cloak and tugging them back on one after another, shuffling back over to the latched door. He hesitates again, his hand lingering on the door.

"I just hope your plan is worth the risk, Neuvillette."

He leaves before he can respond, the harsh click of the door ringing in his ears even as he steps back into the shadows of the night.

Hades 1 vs Hades 2 Designs

● Hermes besides Hypnos was first character that made me think when i saw him oh some time has passed since Zag's escapes indeed, makes you feel that time skip. In this particular debate between those i'm really digging both but if needed to say which i prefer would go with second. I feel it should be said he sure rolls nicely with longer hair i would say darker outfit too but that's probably because pallet that's used for levels.

Ps. I saw post that mentioned how his ring is the same as ones Charon is wearing in first game and if it's a hint at something i'm here for it!

● Zeus for this god specifically there is discourse about how his pose is less dynamic and oh boy if i don't agree with that so much. In first game you see him and his look makes you think yeah this is the king of gods while in second game man is just there with posture i take often because i'm useless gay that don't know what to do with my hands and feels like they took all this might and put it into chiseling his nipples & abs into his golden chestplate. Not to mention the detail of missing the iconic bolt! Don't think it needs to be said but 100% would pick Hades 1 design out of those options.

● Poseidon the King of the Sea another example in my humble opinion where they went with flattening that dynamic looks exchanging it for man that just standing there chilling which is good for him but where first screams cool uncle second one goes uncle that wants retirement. I really like how we can see the trident now tho and need to point out his outfit sure got more print on it. When it comes down to pointing out which one is the winner in my eyes it would be 2020 one.

● Aphrodite if she wasn't the one that got thrown into drama because people double standards and hypocrisy. Design from first game and the pose straight up makes you think of love, lust, seduction all the things that are associated with said goddess. As for Hades 2 version i have no clue why it feels like this considering it's actually the opposite because we can see armor on her legs now but she feels less covered for me, do i find it negative or in any way problematic? Not one bit let the woman show off all her assets all day long! Really love the adds of her weapon and shield makes you immerse in the store of oh fights are happening around these parts. From seduction to i stand here at the ready kinda vibe and i'm really digging it.

Ps. Another post i read was about fact that her war paint i will call it (not 100% sure if that is it or just line for the giggles) is reference to Ares and considering her myth i really like that touch!

● Hypnos was the first OG i saw and was like man not only catching up on his sleep but also got such glow up i absolutely adore the design. Not to say he looked bad in Hades 1 but there it was like okay nice to Hades 2 like Damnnn and his lil helpers that keeps him up! Love the fact that of all things they made him be tucked into his cape like burrito.

Ps. I really do hope by the end of the game we get to wake him up so he can try out that nectar that we all leave there waiting.

● Chaos so many things to say and at the same time silence says it all. Seen people focusing on fact some out there call them he or how it's a downgrade from previous but don't even elaborate why they think that because everyone has right to have their own preference but at least put it into words instead of going trash next..there was also notion how they resemble Meg and while i see where people get that idea from for sure before reading that my mind didn't went there at all. I think both designs really work with someone who is primordial originator and how time goes so can their form. I find it very fascinating that they put old skeleton with new one and adore galaxy under suit makes me think of Nyx right away and how they're connected. Can totally see how between those two gamers got major stance that left reminds them more of male and right of female beings but at the end of the it chaos is chaos. Gotta take chair routine from Meg while they at it! The face on the shoulder surely throws me in loop tho fits? Sure. Does it disturb me in micro scale? Yes. About frames and poses don't have much to say cause both caption the essence of i mind my business everything unrelevant until i say so.

Ps. I know it's about physical aspect but let me say Chaos roasting Mel about how her brother is amusing one out of two Hades spawns is living rent free in my brain.

A lot of the twitter Sylus girlies are only mad about Caleb because Sylus isn't brand new anymore like there's legit criticism to be had about his lack of red and purple stellacrum cards but a lot of the comments just ain't it

I'm a Sylus girlie who's had a neutral option on Caleb since I started playing but I get second hand embarrassed by the shitstorm on twitter

Cause they childish Anon. Sylus doesn't just attract "the girls who want security" or "the girls who are deep and sensual" he attracts the girls who grew up crushing on Edgelords like Sasuke and Jeff the Killer, went through a "I'm not like other girls" phase and think they're so cool and edgy now because there's a man programmed to like their try hard vapid asses who would still be too insecure for him if he was real.

He attracts the girls who unironically read "After" or read "Slave y/n x Mafia" fanfics and think those are deep love stories.

They're like the Astarion girlies who ascend him for the "dark edgy fanfic-y" side of him- They don't actually like Sylus they like what he represents for their mundane asses and the dark Wattpad fanfics they're already writing in their heads.

Legit that's what it boils down to "My baby Sylus isn't getting attention anymore!!! 😭😿" <- That's them because they're so insecure they don't think their man will be just fine. AND they're likely the ones who are ungrateful as shit for new content because they never got told no in their life and probably also project that on Sylus because they want him for his money too (it's funny actually-)

I literally agree with you on the Stellacrum thing: Sylus has A LOT of pink green and blue cards that make him fit nowhere when working with him and frankly I think there's stuff to talk about with him but tearing down Caleb ain't it.

Like you said it makes the Sylus girlies group look cringey and like they're the problematic side which shouldn't be happening since the LnDS fandom should be a fun space for everyone.

So, the 'Semi' in her name basically is the nickname she goes by, and the tag I'll put for her =)

I've adapted the idea of a skeletons font defining their appearance, and since I just grabbed my fav font ever for her, I made her a bit shorter (condensed) and gave her a few wider bones (SemiBold).

The font (Bahnschrift) I'm using for her (and all my sonas, lol) is also used on German autobahn street signs, lol. So I guess she can speak German like my other sonas too.

She'd specialize in deflective magic, or shield magic in general
