I have always wondered why JM Stans hates JK. I have seen posts about how JK is being the Company's favorite and that Scooter is trying to use JK to out sell JM. I don't believe it but I do want your opinions on this. I know you will probably say that's a very stupid thing to ask for but I see it a lot and I wonder why they keep saying that JK and V are the companies favorites. And also do you think the company didn't actively promote JM? This Fandom has finally twisted things around. I just need to know your thoughts on this matter. Thanks

Ok, where do we start?

Maybe from the end.

It being that it does feel at times that JM gets the raw deal from the company. If it's intentional or just because he's too nice and doesn't speak up enough I don't know. But this has been going on for years. The way the promotions for Face were handled, the way his name or photo somehow seem to disappear at times from official sites. For example the official BTS US store had all the members apart from JM in the index.

The issue has been since fixed, but it took angry JM stans posting and sending messages and emails to the company to notice it and make it happen.

Or, another example is JM's Like crazy Korean and English version streams being counted separately by Spotify.

Little things that make you ask "why him?" or more so "why is it always happening with him?"

Now, it's not that Jin has been forgotten at times as well (being cropped out of group photos at times). Somehow it's always those two, but with JM it's way more frequent and feels off.

Saying that, I do feel that some JM solos tend to make JM out as a constant victim (perhaps part of allowing them to be his saviors). While doing that they are constantly making comparisons with the others and while doing so also try to tear the others down.

I think this is part of the issue with solos. Forgetting that these 7 men are part of one band. A band they ALL want to be part of. Something they have said multiple times in the past and recently as well. 7 men that love each other (not to mention the elephant - cough couple cough - in the room).

It's more than ok to have a preference. A member you feel you like more or feel more connected to. It's a different matter to call yourself a fan of a single member elevating him by tearing down the others and constantly calling for said member to ditch the others and go solo. Spewing hate at the other members in that person's name, supposedly for him. Obviously you are not a fan of BTS when you do that, but more so you are not a true fan of said member who loves the others you constantly attack and wants to stay with them as a group, as he constantly and repeatedly tells us all.

Like the whole comparison made between JM's promotions and JK's (two totally different stories, different artists' objectives, different markets). And let me be clear here. I am not saying it felt like JM's success, which was, I feel, unexpected, was downplayed or not properly formally and publicly recognized. At the time it certainly felt that way. What we don't know is what JM's feelings were on the matter. Did he want it that way or was it a company decision? I know how it looks, but at times we need to understand that there are so many undercurrents and we don't get to see most of what's under the water. We only see what's shared or not shared with us, by the powers at be's decision. For example: Later on, in his documentary we saw that JM did get a cake for the #1 billboard achievement. So was it his choice not to post a pic? At the same time we saw his success, again, kind of being downplayed in articles, in BPD's interview, so this is one of those things I am leaving with a big question mark. Was he given the well deserved acknowledgement (even if not publicly)? Was it downplayed from the start, even towards him? And if so, why?

That being said, attacking JK, writing hateful posts about him, his looks, his artistry, his character not only would not make a damn difference as to how JM is being treated by the company but goes against everything that JM is and everything that JM feels towards JK.

Same issue, btw, with all solos. JK solos and the hate towards JM, the person JK loves the most in this world.

So, I do take issue with the need to cut down at another members success only to lift JM's up (he don't need no lifting, he's bloody amazing). I can assure you that is something he personally would not want, being the beautiful soul that he is, he wants the others to succeed and is not in competition with them.

I also hated this need to cut down JK even before his music came out, during JK's promotions, when he was choosing to mirror JM, a clear friggin calculated choice with a clear friggin purpose, by calling him lazy and a copy cat.

First of all you could see, if only you had eyes and kept them open, how throughout ALL of his promotions JK was mirroring JM. It was with similar outfits (even using the same exact black leather pants). It was with wearing the top part of an outfit to which JM wore the bottom part in his promotions. It was with his hair style and colour choices and references to JM's album. Anyway, point being once again that attacking another member does nothing to help lift JM up.

I always find it funny that JM solos hate JK so much.

The person that JM loves more than anyone else, and who loves JM more than they could ever.

The person who knows JM more than they could ever.

The person that JM chose to spend the 18 months of his army service with together, 24/7!! This was not forced on either of them. This was their choice.

Could it be jealousy perhaps? You know, JK gets to get JM and they don't.

Or perhaps this need to be the savior - poor JM needs them to save him from the big bad JK and the big bad company.

p.s. - maybe, just maybe, if indeed JM is being targeted by someone in the company, that's the issue that someone has with him. The fact that he will always come first for JK. The fact that because of him they can't control JK. Well, JK is not someone easy to control, but a. with JM in the picture some of his priorities are different (like wanting to spend time with him, like wanting to go public with their relationship) or perhaps the effect JM has had on JK, being his catalyst (JK's words) and all; and b. Outright homophobia. JK is the golden goose and he is in a long term relationship with a man, a bandmate. It makes life much harder for those that would rather milk the badboy hetero fuckboy image to the limit when said person wants to be accepted for his true self...

Well, that was definitely me digressing from your questions. Oopsy.

Bottom line:

Something kind of feels off with how things seem to go with JM and official content at times over the years (that includes photos, sites, spotify etc.) including his solo promotions.

That said, the comparison with other members, in my opinion, is unjustifiable. Because first and utmost they wouldn't want their fans to be comparing them. They all put themselves out there for their fans and all heartedly supported each other on that journey. Every single one of them had a different kind of solo debut. This is about different music genres, collabs or not, writing their own music or not, promoting out side of Korea or not, even down to the language of the songs. And with this also comes the different kind of promotions. Music shows or live/recorded performances for army, in bigger or smaller venues or even a tour, like Yoongi did.

The comparison with JK is just unfair to both of them. Especially given the very special relationship those two have. Both being the other's biggest fan and supporter.

That aside, the two went on two very different journeys. JM went on a personal journey releasing his first album taking part fully in it's creation, it being a very personal story he was telling us. JK, on the other hand, for whatever reasons (some of which he told us some of which he most likely didn't) decided to go with songs written by others, choosing to challenge himself with singing in English, and new genres and vocals. The choice for an album in English could very much have been pushed by the powers of be, and I do not want to go into the discussion of just how much influence SB has or not, other than say that Bang PD, a very smart and savvy man, knows his way around the music industry and business worlds and has much more influence on JK than anyone else, and that JK is a grown ass man and has told us on more than one occasion that he tends to make decisions for himself, even if at times they might not be the right ones, he goes with his gut. JK also told us he wants to be a huge superstar and singing in English, what can you do, opens up the US and other markets for him in a way that singing in Korean wouldn't.

But even putting that aside people seem to forget that from the get go JK was always the Golden maknae, the one that not only the company saw as their golden goose, but also all other members put on a pedestal. Not saying that's right. Not saying that's fair. But it is what it is. The company is a money making business. And now that BH are under Hybe, although they have autonomy (mostly) on the music, the costs and promotions, they don't have free reign over. And if it's about money making and profits, at times these will be the guidelines as to into what and where the money goes as far as promoting an artist. Let me be clear here. I'm talking here about costs and profits as in how much hard cash was put into a member's promotion over another's. This here isn't about other shit that's happened, such as no public acknowledgement or counting streams of different versions of the same song together or separately. That is another issue. What I'm trying to say here is that the starting point was and never will be the same also due to financial decision making.

Ok, so I think that maybe I've made more of a mess here than anything else, lol.

My bottom line is that even if I feel that JM is being wronged by the company in one way or another (and this goes for any member that might be wronged as well), I would never turn on another member and blame them for it nor would I compare between them. You can like or dislike the music each and every one of them released. That's fair enough and makes sense too. But belittling a member just to try and lift up the other one, that is just wrong in my books.

chung myung, holding the little energetic bundle in his arms, looked down when the said girl tapped him on the chin. his daughter (oh my god) babbles at him. quite the talker, she is. he then turns to look at her other father, who's in his own world and looks back at his babbling daughter.

chung myung huffs. definitely her father's daughter.

the little girl, currently being held by tang bo, stares at her father blankly. “You don't like that either? Alright.. how about Ha-eun?”, tang bo says, to the baby. said baby just drifts her attention off to some butterfly that passed by, reaching for it.

tang bo whines helplessly. “Hyung-niiiim! she's not liking anything!”, he complains. chung myung, training nearby, walks back to where tang bo and their daughter (the thought makes him feel warm? hm.) are staying, shielding themselves from the heat.

“She's a year old, Bo” chung myung made it a habit of not swearing or calling tang bo names whenever he's around with the baby. so he resorted to calling the other by his name often.

(the first time it happened, tang bo slipped. luckily he wasn't holding the baby at the time or chung myung would've beaten him to a pulp)

“She's a very picky one-year old.. she probably got that from hyung-nim”

chung myung huffs an amused breath. he is by no means picky but it's amusing how tang bo recently picked up a habit of relating the little girl's quirks to both their mannerisms.

chung myung sat beside tang bo once he's near. “What names did you come up with?”

tang bo watches, mesmerized, as his hyung-nim that's known to be all things brash and rough being so gentle towards a little girl that's not his own until just recently. his hyung-nim wears a smile so soft and rare, so unlike his usual mischievous ones that tang bo's mouth remains slightly open until chung myung notices his prolonged silence.

clearing his throat and backing away for some space, chung myung turns to look at the suddenly interesting floor of the training grounds.

tang bo, silent for a few more seconds until he lets out a soft chuckle. “Auspicious omen.. Tang Seo-ah...”, he says, turning to look at the sleeping girl— Seo-ah— in his arms.

For the sake of a child.

This is a mdzs plot idea based on the idea that aYuan get sick the day of Jin Ling 100 day celebration and thus stops Wei Wuxian from leaving. Instead he send Wen Ning with his gift and a handful of letters one for his shijie, one for Jiang Cheng, and one for Lan Wangji. Wen Ning still runs into the Jins at qilong (did I spell that right) pass, but no one dies. Instead he passes the letters and gift on to Jin Zuxuan? And rushes back to the burial mounds to warn the others. As soon as Lan Wangji gets from Jin Zuxuan who also tells him what happened at the pass and reads his letter which tells him aYuan is sick, he also rushes there where he catches Wei Wuxian arguing with Wen Qing. She's trying to stop him from doing something stupid and not knowing Lan Wangji is there ends up mentioning his lack of a golden core. After that Lan Wangji makes his presence know and after a bit of drama they end up coming up with a plan that will both strengthen the barrier around the mountain and potentially purify the tainted yin (resentment ). This plan basically ends with some of the most powerful and aware spirits in the mounds, ones that have been watching Wei Wuxian since the first time he entered the mounds chosing him as something of a successer because of his actions. Plus he ends up with a silver core, which is based in Yin energy. As for the barrier it works on the 8 symbol concept in Buddhism with there being six post on the edge of the mounds one in the center and Wei Wuxian as the control piece hence the new core. The barrier itself uses the resentment and and wills of the spirits around, it doesn't actually control them more gives them a job the can do to Chanel their resentment until they're able to move on. Because of this it's semi sentient and extremely sensitive to negative emotions or dangers and no one who is either can enter, unless otherwise instructed by Wei Wuxian. So people like Jiang Cheng (because he envys Wei Wuxian) and Lan Xichen (because by this point he thought Wei Wuxian was evil and couldn't trust hid brother) even if they don't mean to cause harm can't. semi sentient burial mounds in a multiple powerful creatures and cultivators died there and their resentful souls made a half conscious team, my theory on the mounds (based on the novel and comic) is that it was an extremely powerful and pure spiritual vein and there was a war over it, all the death and greed turn the blank or pure energy into resentment.

JK ranking looks has always been a sour topic for me lol. I know he ranked him first once but it came off as damage control and not real. Like he realized at some point that jm was actually hurt by this so he decided to make it up for him. I talk about JK rating Jimin first here which is when anon sent this ask. So let's talk about it.

First of all, let's establish something. JK calls V and Jin handsome yes. He said V was the most handsome man he has ever seen. And that's fine. I believe the same. V is really good looking. Back on topic anon, if u watch the timeline links I shared this also contributed to Jimin pulling away. Off camera JK was treating Jimin very well, doting on him, loving on him, cuddling him in his sleep, maybe they were already exchanging kisses at that point. But then on camera JK would do things like rate Jimin last. So yeah, Jimin said fuck it and started pulling away. So much like u, he didn't like it either. Here is a painful analysis of zoomed in reactions on how much Jimin hated this. It really wasn't nice and I get why some people like u feel some type of way about it.

But this post is about why JK did what he did at that time. It's the factors mentioned above and let's not forget immaturity. And yet when Jimin started pulling away, around May 2015 we had JK changing his behaviour. He started telling Jimin he was handsome all the time.

That Thailand run BTS live where Armys asked if he liked Jimin, suddenly he was going "Jimin hyung's eyes are so pretty."

When the push and pull started JK was singing a whole different tune. He saw he was losing Jimin and decided to get his shit together and he hasn't looked back since.

I love Jimin, I love him sm. But this topic is not a sore one for me at all. Because if u really pay attention u will notice how attached JK was to Jimin since the beginning. He liked Jimin way before it became about sexual attraction. Jimin quickly became his favourite hyung and it's honestly quite clear. Let's never forget about satellite Jeon. Why would JK follow Jimin if he hated him??? Makes 0 sense.

Till this day whenever looks is brought up JK will mention Jin and Tae and not Jimin

I find it a bit odd that people are asking me to defend myself. It actually takes little time to go through my blog and find the posts on this topic yourself. But let me explain, so people can stop asking me about this 🙄.

I mentioned a lack of reading skills for a reason, because I did not say he was more upset, I said he was upset when Jin left too. This is the first post I made about it.

What happened after is that a Jkkr took my post and sent it to some blog (might be the one that's takling about it now.. no clue actually) and started to craft my words into something they were not. Another anon got a bit upset and sent me this:

They later came back and explained that they saw that Jkkr make fun of my ask on another blog and got annoyed by that. I accidentally deleted that ask 🙈, but this was my response to it:

Me talking about Jk's bond and emotions with the other members does not take away from the bond I think he has with Tae. To me that only shows how much stronger Tae and Jk's bond is. I'm not going to downplay Jk's bond with Jin, Jimin, Hobi, Namjoon and Yoongi.. I mean, that's what makes Jkkrs look stupid to me. All of BTS are close, Jk and Tae's bond is just something that exceeds that imo.

@amynchan here is the ficlet based off the idea you gave me on my post asking for ideas to write. I've been struggling with it for a while now, but I think this came out okay-ish.

Prompt: AU in which Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng go to family therapy

Disclaimers:

1. I've never been to therapy (and it shows, I know), so what I'm saying here may not be reflective of how therapy actually works.

2. My opinions on JC might be considered controversial, in that I am critical of his actions and his approach on a lot of things. This is my view on him as a character, you don't have to agree or to like it, I don't claim I'm right or that my opinion is the only valid one. This is my personal interpretation and you are free to have your own, similar or opposing. I won't entertain discourse, if you're unhappy with my ideas/points, feel free to block me!

The car drive home is silent, only the hum of the engine and the sounds of traffic filling the silence between Jiang Cheng and his nephew. It's awkward and uncomfortable, so Jin Ling tries to play on his phone to distract himself from the tension, but he can't focus on any game or social media or even the stupid memes Lan Jingyi sent in the group chat.

He sighs and closes his eyes, thinking over what just happened.

His therapist had suggested he bring his uncle in for a session or two, claiming it would help Jin Ling manage his anger issues and his trauma if his uncle talked to her as well and she tried gauging what their dynamic is.

In reality, all that seemed to do was make his uncle even angrier than usual and so defensive that he even cried at some point from the frustration of it all.

It all started from the moment the therapist asked Jiang Cheng why he felt the need to make (albeit empty) threats towards Jin Ling. Uncle took offense to that, saying it was just part of tough love - to which the therapist said what makes him think love should be tough instead of soft, why he used violent language when he didn't need to. Uncle said he didn't want to raise a weak man - and the therapist asked him why he thought violence equated strength. He said nothing to that.

Then, the therapist asked uncle about his parents. Instead of talking about them, though, all Jiang Cheng did was talk about how his father favored Wei Wuxian, and how unfair it had been for him. When the therapist asked him how he knew it was favoritism and uncle said "it was obvious! My mother even told everyone, my father included!", she asked him whether he was the one seeing the favoritism, or he was seeing it because his mother was, because he wanted her approval and validation. Uncle, once again, said nothing, but he clenched his fists so hard his knuckles turned white.

The therapist asked uncle about Jin Ling's parents after that. How they were like, what relationship he had with them. But uncle yet again talked about how they died because of Wei Wuxian, and the therapist asked him if that was all that mattered to him in regards to them. Uncle yet again didn't respond, but Jin Ling could see frustrated tears form in his eyes.

The therapist told Jiang Cheng to think about whether his anger is his own or his mother's.

To think about whether it is fair of him to blame all his life circumstances on one person, as if that person's life purpose had been to ruin his own from the start.

To think about whether he was so quick to hate Wei Wuxian because it was easier to do that than to see the bigger picture.

To think about whether he had adopted so many of his mother's mannerisms because he missed her and grieved her and inevitably tried to feel closer to her.

To think about whether this is the kind of man he wishes Jin Ling to grow into.

The session ended and uncle said nothing at all anymore after that. Jin Ling sneaks a look at him, and sees his expression darker and cloudier than ever before.

He wonders if he should say something, but ultimately decides against it.

The drive keeps silent all the way home.

--- SPOILER ALERT OF THE FIRST RESPONDERS SEASON 2 EPISODE 3 ---

I want to be diligent and put screencaps in this post but when I think about it again, I don't think I can so here we go.

Dojin's sudden death is such a big plot twist that I never think will happen-- now I'm kind of mad, I will prefer the cheesy and useless love triangle rather than his tragic death.

But at the same time, I'm kind of impressed.

I do think the script writer has planned it from the first season. It isn't the big plot twist just for the sake of it, but Dojin is destinied to die (for the sake of the plot). It left a big impact, it made me love and hate the script writer for doing it to me.

What you can say? I love angst. It hurts so good. It destroyed me in the worst way possible, I hate it but I love it.

I do love how the director directed this drama. The episode 3 is so... darn painful but very beautiful done, even though I'm reluctant to admit it.

Dojin's death is tragic, but at least, not stupid.

It is very Dojin like.

I cried my eyes off for the entire episode. It was unfolded in a neat way. In a memorable way.

And here, in the first season, I thought Doujin will get into the trope of nice guy second male lead who will get a heartbreak but find a new love in the second season. I thought for sure Sol will choose Detective Jin, because his trope as the loner and suicidal bad boy MC is too fatal. But, I never thought their love triangle will end in this way.

Not with how Dojin confessed his love in the 'afterlife'. Not with how Detective Jin, secretly, took away the ring from Dojin's finger and put it on Sol, because he just knows.

Not with how after Sol woke up from her comatose state, the first thing Detective Jin did was telling her about Dojin's death. Not with how Detective Jin accompanied her to Dojin's grave because she missed the funeral.

It is like how Dojin knows how Sol has a soft spot for Detective Jin, but Dojin never acted childish about it. Instead, he respects her feeling, and focusing at how he can win her heart without slandering Detective Jin. Detective Jin also knows how Dojin loves her and how Sol regards Dojin as an important person.

The triangle love turned tragic but wholesome, it was so far away from a cliche and toxic triangle love story in most kdrama.

Heck, in alternate story, I won't mind for them to be in a polyamory relationship because those three are wholesome together.

And beside the tragic love triangle.

I'm saddened of how Detective Jin missed his chance to have a good friendship with Dojin. Well, their friendship has improved a lot, but not enough, for me. Detective Jin is so broken and he functions solely on negative feelings, it was almost hard to see. The ones who noticed it the most are Sol and Dojin.

Sol is healing him with her kindness and love,

And Dojin is giving him a strange but understanding friendship, where Dojin can perfectly follow Detective Jin's crazy thought.

For someone as broken as Detective Jin, I can tell how Dojin's death broke something inside Detective Jin more. He didn't show it because he can't show it unless the case is solved. But Detective Jin was very shaken up.

And it was sad.

He is an inch away to have a better friendship with Dojin, in the first and second episodes, they become quite close.

The episode 3 is such a wild ride because it is shown how everyone suffered with Dojin's death. He is an amazing person and he left a big impact for so many people.

The coroner who has a crush to Dojin.

I cried so hard when she cried.

I felt her. She maintained her professionalism to the end and finally shed tears when no one watching. Similar with the comannder of the fire fighter.

The episode 2 is about how people are worrying about Sol, so Dojin's death flew under their radar, well, our radar. It was beautifully planned by the director and the script writer. I'm upset but impressed.

Still, now that Dojin isn't there with them, this drama won't ever be the same. Now instead of trio, it only become duo... and more romantic (but also very painful)? I don't know honestly.

And here I hope the drama will end with Detective Jin healing with Sol's help and Dojin become his best friend that he doesn't know he needed.

I don't think I can ever rewatch this drama again because then I will cry everytime I see Dojin on screen.

He is one of the best second male lead I have ever seen. His death broke my heart to pieces.

And even though it will be hard to watch this drama to the end, probably I will still will. Because I know Dojin will still appear in flash back or hallucination later. But only for this second season.

If this drama continues into more seasons like the rumors said, I don't think I can watch more of this. Especially if Dojin's role is replaced by someone else, I can't bear to see it.

This is such an underrated drama, but I think not everyone can stomach how the second male lead died before the season 2 reach the climax so yeah...

Maybe I will write a fanfic about this drama, about Dojin, later. But now, I need to heal because Dojin's death give me such a trauma now.

idk if i ever posted when i did but i actually finished lost recently after forcing myself to sit down and do so (bc otherwise for the rest of my life i'd have I Never Finished Lost thoughts looming over me forever). it sure was a show

irt the post my queue reblogged that's daniel, his gf i don't remember the name of, and juliet who i still don't know how i feel about as a character. they coulda done more with her they killed her a really stupid way near the end but it didn't actually matter. i digress. so daniel accidentally killed his gf (a different one, not the one in the picture) or like fried her brain at least by doing time travel science and then years and years into the future weird shit was happening on the island because of his time travel stuff? i was on my phone a lot during this part idk but she died. i don't remember a lot of the specifics from that part bc in the end it was a blip nothing matters in this show. daniel at some point gets shot by a woman he recognizes is his mother in the past and he tells her this and then u find out his mother knew this was going to happen and sent him back in time in order to make sure this happened because it needed to bc fate or some shit. remember how this was a show about a plane crash

what i DO remember most clearly since it's freshest in my mind is they did this weird backstory for the smoke monster (there's a smoke monster on the island) where u find out he was originally just a guy and he had this brother jacob (jacob is a super important character from like some later season onward he's supposed to protect the island but no one has ever actually seen him. who cares). but u find out that their mom like crashed on a ship on the island while she was super pregnant and everyone else with her died and some lady on the island finds her and helps her out and then after she has her kids the lady kills her? and pretends to be the kids' mom instead??? and is like one day one of u is going to have to take over protecting the island, leaning heavily towards it's going to be the one that becomes the smoke monster (idk if he had a name i don't even remember) but one day he saw the ghost of his real mom and learned the truth and went uhhh fuck this i wanna leave the island LMAO. so fake mom goes okay jacob um actually ur gonna be the new protector and we are killing ur fail brother. i don't remember what all happens after that specifically i was super out of it but the smoke monster present day is pretending to be john locke after he died and everyone eventually realizes That Is Not John Locke and he's trying to leave the island and Go Home. at the end of lost he was the only one i was still rooting for genuinely i was so fed up with everything else. also they killed the like top 3 characters that were left (sun, jin, and sayid) back to back to back out of nowhere. the only other one besides the smoke monster i was rooting for was hugo who won the lottery and was like a millionaire and he hated it and everyone thought he was fucking with them when he told them this (which he didn't usually bc he didn't want people to hang out with him just for his money)

lost ended with everyone realizing they died in the plane crash and they all meet up with each other and help the others remember that they were on an island and died in a plane crash (bc they're like living lives in modern day but Wrong it was weirdddd) and then they all get together in a church and go to heaven. i'm not even kidding. also the more i think about this the madder i get bc michael an earlier character wasn't even there and there was no mention of him whatsoever, but he DID show up as a ghost before that so i can't even pass it off with Oh the actor was like fuck no i'm not coming back to lost. juliet WAS there? but she was not on the plane with them at any point. she was already on the island for years prior to the plane crash that's an entirely separate story i'm NOT going into. nothing made sense. very christian. every time i saw benjamin do anything i'd go that's sooo zep saw of him at one point he went "u broke the rules" or something along those lines and i was like THAT'S THE LINE! HE SAID THAT IN Saw.

What if, somewhere after Guanyin temple (maybe a couple of years) shits settles down a bit, but of course, tension is still here. one night hunt, where an area has had many problematic spirits, both ymj and gsl disciples are here, including jl who joined to give a hand (and to meet his friend after so long).

Things are still tense between shuangjie (and don't even mention hgj), but they talk a bit through the years and can now stay in the same area (even room!) without being at each other's throats.

But at some point, an argument started (wwx should probably have kept his mouth shut when jc brought up jzx). the argument escalates to a point where wwx gets on the defensive and says things he might not think, only making jl more upset than he already was, making everything worst.

Jl in sick of hearing wwx badmouth his dad (though he /did/ see a change in recent years), and only remembering the thing he heard about wwx past relationship with his dad and what he did and years of frustration have build-up and he just blows up, he needs to get it all out.

"How can you tell he wouldn't be great today? *you* are the reason my father is *dead*, and don't even mention how my mother would think, you weren't with her when she married him, how would you know what their relationship was like? You couldn't know today either because you are also the reason she *died*, if it wasn't for you and your stupid choice both my parent would be alive. The one who should be dead is /you/, not her! You should just have stayed dead!"

after this jl is a bit out of breath, years of resentment out and after jc scolds him for his last statement.

(when he cools down he does wince at the implication of his word. in the past he might have wanted wwx dead, but today it wasn't really to that point. he was by no means close to him, but still).

but for now, jl looks back towards wwx as he's about to argue against what jc said.

but he stops in his attempt. Something seems wrong, wwx body language seems off, lwj looking carefully at his husband while lsz looks uneasy at his own words.

Something is wrong and he can't put his finger on it.

"You're right" wwx finally says, a smile that seems a bit too stiff on his lips, "I caused that didn't I? I truly have no say in this, my apologies sl jin".

and this seems even more off, even jc frowns at it because something seems wrong with his shixiong.

then wwx tries to laugh off being scolded like this by his shijie's son "Don't look like this lz, jl is right" and instead grabs his arm, trying to pull him away as he says they'll just go see in another part of the forest if they could be needed.

jl stops lzs before he could go, trying to ask what was wrong, only to see more uneasiness on his friend's face, "I don't think it would be appropriate to talk about this here" he says looking around, eyes also avoiding jc staring, "But you don't need to worry, senior wei is... alright".

jl isn't convinced, but he doesn't want to force his friend to tell him. On the other side, a queasy feeling settles in jc, because this doesn't feel right, even less if it something that shouldn't talk about anywhere that is private.

Something happened for sure.

for the rest of the night, wwx acts a bit weird, but he does settle closer to what he usually is like. yet, anytime someone crosses their path, hgj is uneasily keeping his eyes on him, scanning his every move and expression.

some even find it odd how hgj actually seems to not let wwx approach anything that could actually be dangerous. Isn't senior wei a good cultivator? Can't he deal with these rather small fries himself? why stop him from doing so?

Everything goes alright until everything is over and wwx is left alone with himself and his thoughts (lwj forced to go to paperwork and wwx saying he needs some alone time).

and the spiral back into guilt and self-loathing comes back. wwx had managed to push them far to the back of his mind, but jl words had triggered it.

Why was he here? He should be dead. He was good dead and apparently, everyone was doing better when he was dead, so why was he still here? Causing problems for everyone around him?

being a reminder of what people had lost because of /him/? Being the worse shixiong ever? Reminding jl of why and how exactly his parent died? being the creator of something that was now eating at many young cultivators who were trying to follow his old path?

He should have stayed dead and everyone seemed to agree with him.

He did try to find a way to bring back mxy, in the hope his soul hadn't completely shattered. He knows how it would have affected lwj, but this time he could have given a proper goodbye to the man. he felt really lucky that he could actually be happy when the sole purpose to his revival was to /kill people/. another thing to the list, apparently he was only good to kill people...

He had been happy like he should not be allowed, he could have said goodbye to lz and given mxy a chance to have a better life, maybe lwj would have accepted his last wish of making sure mxy would be alright.

But his research was fruitless and it seemed rather impossible for him to bring back mxy (this is also probably what ticked lwj suspicion.) but if he couldn't at least give mxy a second chance, he could give everyone else what they wanted and simply die. His reason to be alive was only to serve a purpose in the first place and it had already been done years ago, so truly he had no reason to be here.

So he tried to die again, which failed by very little because lwj found him before he could succeed in that.

With that, he had disappeared from "the public eyes", kept under close watch as to not have him tried something like this again. They tried working through the issue They have sessions where lwj plays him song of clarity when his suicidal thoughts come back stronger. It took months before he was able get back on his feet, although he is still under close watch from lsz and lwj after all these years.

this was the first time in a very long time since wwx had such a violent surge of these thoughts, even if he tried to hide it (they had already helped him so much, he cannot depend on them forever, right?).

he was surprised when lsz came to him to play soc, it did help him calm down from his sudden attack and it took a very long time for both lan to bring him back to a more stable state of mind, lwj joining as quickly as he could (paperwork were not as well done, as usual, that is for sure). They didn't sleep that night, but making sure that wwx wouldn't do something to harm himself and make him understand that no, he didn't just do bad things in his life, even in this second one he has helped many people.

It did take a while for wwx to do better again (lwj and lsz never leaving his side).

lsz would probably eventually tell jc if the man were to come back to him about it. there was still tension between the two, but clearly, slj couldn't just drop all his worries for wwx even after everything (talking through some stuff also did help). Maybe jl would also be told.

The number of people knowing about wwx attempt is very low, kept to the bare minimum. Of course, he and lwj know, and so do lqr and lxc since they are lwj family. The healers who saved wwx know (although they do not have the full situation about wwx mental state at the time).

the only "outsider" who know is ljy, since lsz did need someone to talk about it that wasn't as affected by it as lwj was.

so adding two people that were related to jc in a way wouldn't be bad either.

lsz really felt like jc could know (which could be helpful if anything were to happen in the future and only jc was around, at least he would know about wwx struggles).

He would probably be a bit hesitant to tell jl at the same time, despite not wanting to hide it from it either lsz wouldn't want his friend to possibly think what happened was entirely his fault (wwx had some low time over the years after all), he could see where the frustration come from and he hadn't watched his words (but it could help in the future.

I do wonder how they would react

healers hate them. no, young madam jin, mild pollen allergy usually doesn’t kill-- i’m sorry, it simply does not kill. it is not possible. what about colds? a-yao said he would catch a cold often as a child, what if it’s-- the chief healer of the jin sect takes a calming breath. everyone gets sick sometimes. but jinlintai is properly isolated, so unless you’re dangling the baby out in the cold on purpose (i am only assuming you would not do that), with the proper care it will DEFINITELY receive, NOTHING WRONG SHOULD HAPPEN.

he’s a horrible thief and doesn’t even notice it. he just starts idly playing with an object, like his aunt’s bracelet, after a while says goodbye like a well-behaved boy and leaves, and then several hours later comes back, terrified out of his mind, apologizing, in tears. and oh, does his crying face make everyone’s hearts melt.

he’s sneaky and his steps are virtually inaudible, and upon finding out about this fact, several people in jinlintai suddenly flash back to their affairs and feel cold sweat on their back. some suspect he has developed the ability to turn invisible. his parents and teachers are out of ideas on how to keep him in his room, aside from “iron handcuffs and an iron pole with a stabilizing talisman on it” which seem a little bit too much. who teaches him all that? unclear.

he was supposed to copy a text and think about it; he is found three hours later, soaking wet and with a new friend (frog). he’s been hiding in the lotus pond, ducking underwater when there was someone passing by. he was supposed to practice sword forms with jin rulan and an older disciple; they are found gorging on steamed buns in the nearby market. jin rulan doesn’t know how it happened, and it infuriates him. the disciple knows, and the answer is “those damn dimples and sparkling eyes” but no one’s asking him, so.

by the time he’s nine, he limits the CONSUMPTION to the bare necessary minimum (food, his own fingernails, and the correct tip of the brush) but follows jin rulan like an enamoured puppy, thinking he is Literally The Coolest. jin rulan appreciates that very much, but sometimes... when he’s trying to be cool, you know? an annoying little cousin shouting at him to COME SEE I FOUND A REALLY COOL BUG? is kind of, ruining his vibe, okay.

you know what, actually i planned to end this post like 200 words earlier, with a vaguely ominous passage about how “sect leader jin and his wife are a perfect couple! usually there are rumors, even minor, about all sect marriages, but none about them! truly an example to be followed!” (meaning: they were MURDERED). 

then i was like oh! what if rusong was a mess, and there was no assassination attempt, or rather: there were, but through food, and rusong’s parents caught on quickly and started to train their child, who likes to CONSUME, to automatically neutralize various types of poisons with his core (once he ate something that would have killed a non-cultivating adult man and only mentioned it was ‘making his tongue all tingly’. that’s very funny, a-song, jin guangyao said, and then went to have a fucking drink)

Do you think something is going on with Jimin ? He looks so sad over all. And today he was literally hiding under his mask and hat, clinging to Tae and Jhope throughout. This is really worrying. I understand that we care about the members, that we want them to always be well and I understand that we care about Jimin because of the shit that stupid people say about him on social media but what we shouldn't do is assume that there is always something wrong with him based on one gesture or one action. You in this post have associated Jimin being down with things he has always done. He was hiding under his mask and hat: Are you serious? Jimin has ALWAYS done that when he wants to. In fact he, Yoongi and Jungkook are all experts at wearing masks and hats that practically cover their entire faces. That's not an indication that he's not feeling well or that something is wrong. Clinging to Tae and Jhope: You've never paid attention to Jimin's relationship with the two of them? That was the most normal thing in the world. Maybe it's not something we usually see in airports but it's normal. Many of you seem to forget important details when they don't fit into your narrative but BTS went to the airport in the morning and they've already said more than once that they're not used to that. Jimin has said more than once that he goes to bed super late so he was probably tired and didn't sleep much or at all. Jin said in one of his posts that he had played video games until 8am and was therefore going to sleep through the whole flight. You soaked all the warmth you could from him, as your arms wrapped tightly around his waist. You finally gave up, and you had prepared this huge monologue for him to tell 'why you didn't want to be with him in the first place and why you shattered his heart like it meant nothing' while you ran to see him.

But when he saw you cross the road, in a hurry, almost like you were suffocating. He could see how much you were struggling to get something off your chest.

It was all because of one simple message from Jin that made you finally confront with your feelings.

Jungkook got hurt, I think you should come and see him.

Jin purposely didn't tell much, and left you with a name of a hospital. And you didn't need much push to run to the hospital only to find Jungkook waiting outside the building.

You can't hold back the tears from seeing him in front of you. It was too much. It was one thing to ditch him the night when he was going to ask you out to be his girlfriend but knowing that he was in a danger gave you this sense of loss that you couldn't help but feel although you broke his heart two months ago.

Jin already texted Jungkook but he had little faith that you would actually show up after you didn't bother to see him once when he was out in the cold waiting for you.

He slowly touched your arms, waiting for any sign of you pushing him away, but instead was surprised when you wrapped your arms around him, and muttered, "I am so glad that nothing happened to you". He gently cupped your face, still afraid that you might wake him up from this dream.

You stared deeply in his eyes, as you said, "I am so sorry, I should have said it..."

You still found those words to be difficult, and out of your reach.

He wiped your tears and gave a warm smile to you.

"It's okay. You came, you are here... We are here."

You didn't get to finish, because a rich laughter erupted from Jungkook. He could not believe you rejected him because of this, and here he thought he wasn't enough. He never thought you would have this kind of insecurities because ever since he saw you, everything about you was so perfect and you always held yourself with so much confidence whenever you engaged in a conversation with him and the boys.

As if it wasn't already possible, but he decided at that moment that he loves you more than he did a moment ago. But just not to stress you more, he rephrased his words.

"I still like you, you know. And I am going to like you even if you don't like me. But I would prefer that you like me. " He said with his doe like eyes staring at you, as if he could see your soul.

You laughed and tighten the embrace, as you snuggle closer, you whispered, "I like you too."

He gave a bunny like smile to you, "I think we should go to some cafe or something, before people post stuff about us, that too before you officially do the honour to become my girlfriend?"

You blushed, and that made Jungkook more happy and you could picture yourself staring at his bunny smile for a long time, as he holds your hands and keeps them in his pocket, while securing his cap with the other hand as he leads you away.

I don't even want to try. Like yeah he didn't know about the golden core but OP has so many points which are not even canon. For all they think JC saw demonic cultivation affecting WWX and was concerned He didn't fucking do shit to stop him and encouraged WWX to use it to win the war. The Jiangs only got disciples equal to those all great sects did because they were attracted by WWX. (You even mentioned this canon line recently in your post)

For all OP says about JC connecting WWX's change with Demonic Cultivation, does OP realize this can very much be a direct effect of war? None of us have witnessed a war that degree so we cannot predict what effects those have but war is brutal and we all agree on that. If people can say that JC should get time to handle his parent's death and the effects of war and the burden of a sect THEN even WWX deserves to get time to handle his loss of golden core and figure something out and fully overcome the trauma the war had on him (before the surgery it was his thought that he would figure something out and he's a genius he would have, in canon he didn't really get time because he was thrown into the burial mounds and had to survive). Also WWX doesn't exactly have many people who weren't wary of him after the war. There is so much going on with tensions high and WWX and his skills are really put at the center of it all. He is considered a weapon by the other people, OP. He is talked like someone has the right to possess him, like he isn't a human and has his own choices and conscious.

OP talks about WN like he hadn't risked his life and his sister's to save JC and isn't the reason JC even got his parents ashes (and a golden core). MOREOVER JC isn't only talking about killing WN. He is talking about sending little A-Yuan, Granny Wen, Uncle four, Wen Qing and all those civilian refuges to their deaths and asking WWX to return to serve under him. It was never about brotherhood or doing things together. If OP read canon with even an ounce of sense then they should know what JC wanted from WWX was total loyalty and lifetime of servitude (look at his attitude when WWX made friends with other sect people, like LWJ and LQY) and WWX would never follow a person who tried to kill innocents and sacrifice his morals for JC.

Why is it so difficult to accept that in CQL, JC swore to kill WWX at the nightless city and in Book, JC lead the seize proper to kill him.

Hyun Ji looked around her class. YN was nowhere to be seen, this was weird. You weren’t known for being late and even if you were running late, the first person you’d tell is Hyun Ji. Before Hyun Ji could ask around to see if anyone knew where you were, Han Ssaem had entered the classroom.

All too soon, it was break time. As Hyun Ji stood up and stretched, Cho Rong and Si Woo entered the classroom. Both made their way to her desk, with Cho Rong lightly slamming his hands on her desk.

“Yah Jung Hyun Ji, how could you not tell me that YN’s sister and her fiancé are the coolest people alive,” Cho Rong said excitedly to Hyun Ji. She looked confused and just shrugged her shoulders but smiled before gasping.

“Wait, fiancé?! Joon Oppa proposed?! Mi Soo Unnie is engaged now?!” Hyun Ji screamed. She had been so loud that everyone around her turned to look at her. She smiled sheepishly at Seo Jun and Soo Ah’s glare. She got her phone out and started video calling YN.

YN picked up the phone and smiled at Hyun Ji and laughed at Cho Rong and Si Woo who were trying to get into frame, waving at YN.

“Lemme guess Cho Rong told you about Unnie being engaged,” said YN calmly as Hyun Ji opened her mouth to speak but was beaten by YN. She glared at YN for not letting her speak first and the other girl just laughed and turned her camera to show where she was.

“Daebak, you’re at Joon Oppa’s house, no wonder you didn’t come to school today,” Hyun Ji said, the boys who were looking at the phone were in shock at the opulent house they were getting a peek into.

Suddenly Seo Jun shouted and before Hyun Ji even knew what was happening. Seo Jun was in front of her, glaring at YN who was just laughing her head off. Everyone looked confused at why Seo Jun was glaring at YN and her reaction of just laughing at his death glare. Soo Ah and the rest of her classmates had one thought, YLN YN was either really brave or stupid to be laughing in the face of Han Seo Jun’s death glare.

Ju Kyung on the other hand was watching Seo Jun closely. She saw that as YN carried on laughing then tried to get her breath back but looked at Seo Jun glaring and lost it again. Seo Jun’s glare softened, the more YN laughed loudly and openly, the less he looked like he wanted to murder YLN YN with his eyes. His eyes that had that murderous angry glint in them, were lost as he tried not to smile at YN essentially laughing at him. Ju Kyung smiled to herself, this was an interesting development.

Ju Kyung wondered if Seo Jun even knew about the feelings he was starting to exhibit for the class topper. Definitely, something she would bring up with Su Ho, who surprisingly had been good friends with YN YLN, well good friends by Su Ho’s standards. It was a regret Su Ho had that he wasn’t there in person to see the class wreak havoc and ruin Lee Hae Sung.

Ju Kyung was surprised that Su Ho even cared but according to Su Ho, after Kang Soo Jin, YLN YN was the only other person who would talk to him. They shared a quiet nature, with Su Ho being cold to keep them out and YN being socially awkward and so just kept to herself.

Cho Rong being the daredevil he was, when YN finally stopped laughing, he looked at her and asked her what had happened. As YN was waving her hand and panting, still trying to get her breath back, her phone was taken from her hands.

The class looked as they saw this handsome man on YN’s screen and this mysterious man just smiled at the class. Seo Jun coming out of the shock of seeing Young Joon Hyung decided to air his frustrations with him, hoping that the other man would take pity on him and get him out of tutoring.

“Hi, Young Joon Hyung, can you believe this girl you seem to think of as a little sister texted me saying that just because she isn’t here doesn’t mean we don’t have tutoring. She is demanding I meet her at the local library to study” complained Seo Jun. The rest of the class burst out laughing, hearing the reason why Seo Jun had been glaring at YN.

They had been worried that it was something serious. Something that might mean the end of the blossoming friendship that had been struck by the two, that everyone hoped would become something more.

Unbeknownst to YN and Seo Jun and their best friends in Class 2-5 aka Hyun Ji and Ju Kyung. The rest of the class wanted YN and Seo Jun to become a couple.

Young Joon laughed before turning his head to YN who just shrugged her shoulders and turned to look at Seo Jun and stuck her tongue out at him, before hiding her face in her hands embarrassed by what she had just done.

Seo Jun just looked at her annoyed before shaking his head at her immediate embarrassment just for being cheeky with him. Even though she was hiding her face, Seo Jun could still see her reddened ears.

While an embarrassed YN was cute. Seo Jun was waiting for the time when she wouldn’t be so embarrassed, about being a dork in front of him. Just be normal around him without getting so embarrassed.

Saying that Seo Jun did enjoy seeing her blushing and reddened ears due to her embarrassment.

“Well, Seo Jun this girl practically is my sister, especially since we’ve fixed a wedding date, so not too far from actually being family with this one,” Young Joon said as he ruffled YN’s hair with the hand that wasn’t holding the camera.

Making sure to have the camera facing her, to show her getting annoyed at him and glaring at her. The class laughed at seeing YN, so utterly annoyed and pouting at Young Joon.

“Also, why the library, I have a perfectly good library in this house for you to use. Just have the study session here YNie” Young Joon said calmly as Seo Jun just looked at him annoyed. Before the class could see YN reaction, however, YN cut off the video call. The whole class was left to look at each other confused.

A few minutes later Hyun Ji got a text from her that Hun Ji loudly read out to everyone.

“No matter what we are having a tutoring session today Han Seo Jun, I'll text you the location if it’s at Joon Oppa’s house or he might just come to pick you up,” Seo Jun just looked annoyed. His plan to get Young Joon Hyung on his side had failed miserably.

Cho Rong just laughed at his friend, he was the only one who had known the true extent of Seo Jun’s feelings for Ju Kyung.

Thankfully Seo Jun after seeing Su Ho and Ju Kyung happy together had realised. He wasn’t as in love with Lim Ju Kyung as he thought.

He was more so in love with the idea of her. With the way his friend was acting now over YLN YN, it was obvious that Seo Jun felt something for YN. However, knowing Han Seo Jun, he would deny it until he had no choice.

Hopefully this time around, in denying his feelings he wouldn’t end up losing the girl to someone else who wasn’t afraid to admit what they felt.

“Jung Hyun Ji wanna explain what the hell just happened and who was that guy with YN and why did she miss school today,” Soo Ah asked, she had been holding all her questions in for so long. She needed to know what was going on and she wanted answers now.

“Well, Cho Rong being the big mouth that he is, spilt the beans to me about YN’s sister Mi Soo Unnie and her boyfriend Young Joon Oppa are now engaged,"

"YN always said that she would miss school to go with her mum to Joon Oppa’s house after he proposed to sort out all the details with their wedding.”

“Joon Oppa has always seen YN as his little sister, his parents have always talked about how much they love Mi Soo Unnie for bringing YN into their lives, don’t get me wrong they love Mi Soo Unnie but YN is the little sister they could never give Joon Oppa, at least that’s what Joon Oppa says” Hyun Ji nodded her head at her classmates who were listening to every word she was saying. Before she could continue Cho Rong started to speak.

“That guy we saw, that is Min Young Joon. That man is quite literally the best man on the planet, he gave Seo Jun and me a ride home yesterday after book club and when Seo Jun told him that I was paying for food, he gave me money and said the treat was on him” Cho Rong told the class excitedly. After only one meeting, Min Young Joon was his role model. Just from that one meeting if there was a man to strive to be like it was Min Young Joon. Cho Rong turned to Seo Jun.

“Seo Jun Ah, I don’t care what you say, I am coming along with you for this tutoring session, no way Im missing an opportunity to see the Min Young Joon’s house plus I get to see YN so it's only positives,” Cho Rong told Seo Jun before closing Seo Jun’s mouth as it was hanging open in reaction to what he said.

“Why don’t we all go, we've been meaning to ask both you and YN to join our study group,” Ju Kyung said to Seo Jun. She wanted to see Seo Jun and YN together, see if there was something there. Or was it just her desire to see her best friend in a happy relationship with someone.

That was making her see imaginary signs of attraction between him and YN. She needed to make sure YN felt something for Seo Jun, to be able to fully support them and help them get together like the rest of the class was scheming.

“Oooh, I like that idea, wasn’t Min Young Joon voted one of the most innovative young businessmen last year,” Soo Ah said happily. Since Cho Rong had said that mysterious man’s full name, she had looked him up online.

From what she had read and the small glimpse of the house they got. This man was uber-rich, and Soo Ah just wanted to see it.

“Uh, sorry to burst your bubble Soo Ah but I texted YN to ask about you guys and well she doesn’t want everyone to just turn up at Joon Oppa’s house. She’s sorry Soo Ah” Hyun Ji told Soo Ah sadly, not looking up at Soo Ah because she didn’t want to see her disappointed face.

“That’s okay, we still aren’t that close to YN yet, we’ve still got to work on becoming closer to her as a class anyway, we need to have an outing and invite her, now that she’s not talking to Lee Hae Sung, she’ll be more likely to join in,” Soo Ah said smiling, turning to Ju Kyung to start planning a class outing.

Hyun Ji smiled at Soo Ah and went back to texting YN, laughing at her reaction when Hyun Ji told her that Soo Ah and Ju Kyung weren’t upset with her. This girl was so worried, about making Soo Ah and Ju Kyung upset, offending them by not letting them coming to Joon Oppa’s house. Hyun Ji felt someone’s hand on her shoulder. She looked up and saw Si Woo smiling at her.

“So, we're joining Cho Rong right,” Si Woo said tilting his head towards Seo Jun and Cho Rong who were whispering to each other, near Seo Jun’s desk at the back of the classroom. Hyun Ji just nodded her head. With how YN acted around Seo Jun and vice versa, Hyun Ji was going to do everything to get these two together.

The bell rang, Cho Rong and Si Woo said their goodbyes and made their way to their classroom. The rest of the day went by quickly, Hyun Ji was making sure that her notes were in good condition and not a mess. Considering that YN would be borrowing her notes for the day to catch up. It was the least Hyun Ji could do for her best friend.

At the end of the day, the class was all packing up, talking with each other when Lee Hae Sung burst into their classroom, going straight to Hyun Ji’s desk and slamming his hands on her desk angrily.

“Jung Hyun Ji, I’ve been asking nicely on social media and haven’t gotten a response, so I’m here in person to ask you to get YN to talk to me” Hae Sung demanded, maybe if he intimidated Hyun Ji enough. She would give in and just message YN on his behalf. This argument of theirs had gone on long enough. After the crap, YN had given him yesterday he was done being nice to get on her good side again.

Hyun Ji looked scared. She had heard of Hae Sung’s anger from YN, but she was always quick to say that he wouldn’t get violent with anyone. From the way he was acting now however, Hyun Ji wouldn’t put it past Hae Sung to hit her. Taking a deep breath, Hyun Ji looked Hae Sung straight in the eyes and replied.

“No, YN has blocked you for a reason and you know very well I don’t like you, Lee Hae Sung. So why would I help you with my best friend” Hyun Ji took a breath after saying that. She didn’t break eye contact with Hae Sung while she spoke. With every word she said, she saw the anger rising in Hae Sung’s eyes.

Before Hae Sung could lift a hand to hurt Hyun Ji. Another hand came and stopped his hand from slapping her. Looking up, Hyun Ji saw Si Woo holding Hae Sung’s hand, he pushed Hae Sung away and stood before Hyun Ji’s desk glaring at Hae Sung.

“Hitting a girl, that’s the level you at now Lee Hae Sung. I knew you were an annoying as hell classmate, but this just makes you a horrible person, like what do you think hitting Hyun Ji will change anything, rather than apologise you’re trying to intimidate and abuse her to get your way” Si Woo angrily said to Hae Sung, with each word, he pushed Hae Sung until his back hit the blackboard at the front of the class.

Before Si Woo could punch Hae Sung. Cho Rong came and stopped him. While he wanted to punch Hae Sung as well, starting a fight in school would not help any of them and knowing how sly Hae Sung was. He would manage to get off scot-free while Si Woo would suffer punishment.

While all this was going on, Seo Jun helped Hyun Ji get out of the classroom and from the outside, both of them watched as Cho Rong and Si Woo grabbed Hae Sung to take him back to their class. To tell their class president of what he had almost done. Getting in a fight at school would get them in trouble with the teachers. Their class president Park Eun Hoo would make sure Hae Sung was punished by their class standards for his attempted violence.

Seo Jun and Hyun Ji silently made their way outside of school, they walked slowly. Almost as if they were waiting for Si Woo and Cho Rong to join them. Yet those two were taking their time and were not coming.

“Thanks for getting me out of there Seo Jun,” Hyun Ji thanked Seo Jun as they walked, she still looked behind her, waiting for Si Woo to come.

“No problem, has Hae Sung ever been that violent with YN like she would’ve said something to you right?” Seo Jun was worried, after seeing that violent reaction from Hae Sung, this was one instance, what if through the years Hae Sung had been violent towards the one person he claimed to be his best friend.

“Don’t worry Seo Jun, the most Hae Sung did is dragging YN, she hated when he did that, but he never stopped doing it but no he was never violent like that with her” Hyun Ji reassured Seo Jun. Hyun Ji smiled when Seo Jun let out a breath of relief. This cemented the idea of making sure Seo Jun and YN got together.

As they got to the gates, Hyun Ji felt an arm around her shoulders and smiled when she saw that it was Si Woo. He smiled at her and they carried on walking. Turning back to laugh at Seo Jun getting annoyed with Cho Rong who was trying to put his arm around Seo Jun’s shoulders as well.

Seo Jun saw Young Joon Hyung’s car and went with Cho Rong still trying to put his arm around his shoulder and Seo Jun shrugging it off.

“Young Joon Hyung, you didn’t need to come to pick me up, I could’ve taken the bus,” Seo Jun said to Young Joon who just shook his head before opening the doors of the car, motioning for the rest of the group to get in.

“I won’t say this again Seo Jun ah, just call my Joon Hyung okay. Of course, I had to pick you all up, it would be rude to expect you kids to get the bus to my house” Joon said as he got into the car and started driving to his house.

“Fine, thank you for driving us to your house Joon Hyung,” Seo Jun said reluctantly. Joon laughed but nodded his head.

The car ride to the house was full of laughter as Cho Rong told stories of school and Young Joon talked about his childhood. They didn’t even realise when they reached Young Joon’s house.

What does he know?

You find yourself spacing out as you stand at the printer, waiting for Namjoon's schedule.

Just when you thought you had found some normalcy to your already chaotic life, you find yourself here. Biting your bottom lip, you groan, falling on top of the printer, the warmth as it sparks to life easing you even if it's for a little while.

"Why me?" you murmur, your brow furrowed and eyes glistening with helpless emotion. "Why now?"

What happened to the auditions you had sent before? In a time where you believed that you could achieve your dream without anything or anyone else holding you back. Were you not good enough then?

What makes you good enough now?

Groaning, you slide off the printer and run your hands through your hair. Your neat look has been thoroughly rumpled, just like your day, and you wonder if there will ever be a time where you're allowed to breathe.

Where you're welcome to let go.

With the small slip of paper sliding out of the printer, you grab it and turn swiftly around, ready to take it to Namjoon.

If only life were easier.

With a sharp cry, you bump into a couple of people walking by, and scalding hot liquid splatters between the two of you. A bitter, almost pitch black liquid soils your shirt and destroys the schedule you hold in your hands.

Coffee? Again?

Sighing, You wipe some of the drops off your face before glancing up to see if the pair is all right.

It's two girls and from the looks of it, they seem to be staff themselves, perhaps working on the publications team. You try to catch a glimpse of their badges, but they're moving too much and you can't get a good enough look.

However, you're able to catch a glimpse of their features perfectly fine. One of them is tall, with a soft tan to her smooth skin, and darker features. She has obsidian eyes that glitter when the light catches them and a square jawline that matches her demanding aura. Her hair is long and straight but looks soft to the touch. She doesn't wear many expressions on her face, however, and looks to be a bit standoffish. She would be hard to get close to.

The second one is the one who was carrying the coffee and though her face is pulled into one of disgust, you can tell that she's gorgeous. She has soft honeydew skin and almond butter eyes. Her face is perfectly symmetrical, and her lips full and glossy. Her eyes are large and wide, a deep brown color, with long dark eyelashes brushing against her cheek each time she blinks. They would otherwise be beautiful if they didn't sparkle with hatred and malice.

After a moment, you recognize what you've done; panic rising in your throat, you scramble to do something. You quickly reach for your emergency towels, but you've left your satchel in your small office. Cursing silently underneath your breath, you reach down to pick up the discarded cup and help her as best as you can.

"I'm sorry I--"

"Watch out will you?!"

Stunned, you step back, not sure what to do. It's been a while since you've been yelled at like that. A while since you've felt that shock. Swallowing hard, you shake it off and proceed to pick up the cup, keeping your distance.

Maybe it's better to just leave her alone.

"Wait..." at the sound of her voice, you look up, rather disinterested. "Who are you?"

Rolling your eyes, you turn to the trash can. You can't believe you expected an apology. Her friend, the one who was helping her clean up, peers at you before nudging her.

"She's who we were talking about, remember? Jaejin's replacement."

At the mention of your friend's name, your ears perk, and you drop the coffee cup in the trash can. Just what have they been saying about you two? Biting the inside of your cheek in annoyance, you turn around, facing them head-on.

"Oh!" The coffee girl's eyes widen. She looks you up and down as though inspecting a piece of meat. Her lip curls as she turns to her friends, eyes darkening with disgust. "Why didn't they ask one of us? She's hardly experienced."

You raise an eyebrow. Do they think you can't hear them? The dark beauty shrugs, her black eyes dull with disinterest.

"I heard she knows Jaejin. He gave her the post."

You try to be angry, you try to deny the accusations...but they aren't wrong.

Somehow, that makes it worse.

"Who is she, a colonizer?!" Ms. Coffee scoffs, tossing her hair over her shoulder. You try not to flinch, but you can't control it. You swallow hard, curling your hands into fists at your sides.

"Besides, isn't Jaejin dating Mijeong?"

Your breath stops as you hear the words, the same words Sunoh said when you met him. The same words which remind you of everything you have lost.

If they continue to speak, you don't listen, you can't hear them. The roar starts in your ears as your blood rushes to your head, and spots cloud your vision. You can't see, you can't think, you can't function.

Why is it still so hard?

Why can't you let go?

You feel yourself begin to sway as the room swirls into fragments of time and space, and you lose sight of where and who you are.

The only thing left is pain.

Always pain.

"Who says he isn't?" The hand wrapping itself securely around your shoulder, the soft calming voice at your ear, brings you back to reality and you're able to breathe again.

"Jojo?" The tall dark beauty's eyes widen and she steps back a bit. It seems as though she's started a fight she won't be able to finish. Jojo narrows her eyes, her hand tightening around your shoulder as she pulls you behind her in a protective gesture.

"What's going on here?"

"Nothing." Miss Coffee quickly intervenes, sending a wide smile your way. One that somehow comes across as menacing, matching the anger in her eyes. "Just a careless newbie is all."

Her voice is dripping with sarcasm and her friend beside her pinches her in her side, whispering something incomprehensible in her ear. The Coffee Girl shakes her off, growing furious by the second. You narrow your eyes her way. This has to be more than a stupid coffee spill, but what could she possibly have against you?

"Come on, Jojo. She's the one in the wrong. If it were any one of us, you wouldn't give a second look." She snarls before turning to you and reaching around Jojo to push you backward.

"Ya!" Jojo cries out in surprise, stepping in front of you, but not before the damage is done. Caught off guard, you stumble back into the printer. Her friend gasps, and steps back. You wonder if she's considering removing herself from the equation. Pulling yourself up, you glare at her before stepping forward.

"What's your problem?" you hiss, your hands clenching at your side to try and contain your anger. Jojo steps in front of you once more, just in case you decide to start swinging some punches. Frustrated, you push her aside. It's not like you're going to do anything. Jojo sends you a sideways glance, but you ignore her, focusing on the target in front of you. “What are you, a child?”

"Did you hear something?" The girl smirks, nudging her friend beside her who swallows nervously. You don't know why, but that only makes you angrier, and you consider stepping across Jojo to smack some sense into her. Instead, you deepen your glare and roll your eyes.

"Pathetic..."

Are you wrong? She's acting like a child. So naturally, your snide comment doesn't sit well with her. Eyes widening in anger, she raises her hand to slap you across the cheek, and you flinch.

But the strike never comes.

Opening your eyes slowly, you turn to find someone has come in between the two of you, hand wrapped tightly around the girls. You look to Jojo, half expecting the source to be her...but it's not. Her eyes are wide and she seems to have frozen.

So then who?

"Now now." Your eyes widen at the voice and your heart starts pounding hard in your ears as he steps in front of you, shielding you. The girl stares up at him with shameful fear, as though her entire world has just been shattered. "You should really watch your temper."

He drops her hand and she steps back, her friend catching her from behind.

"You never know who might be watching."

He gestures to the room, at the groups of people watching, whispering to each other. They don't hide their interest, nor their disgust as they send looks towards the girl.

Satisfied, he turns to you, a reassuring smile breaking out on his face. The same face known and cherished worldwide. Up close, it's even more unreal.

Kim Seokjin.

"As you said, Yen is new, and when you were first starting out, you made way more mistakes believe me." Jojo snaps, her eyes glittering with anger as she turns to Coffee. She steps forward, leaning beside her ear.

"I would be careful who you make an enemy, sweetheart." She whispers harshly, loud enough for anyone close to the two of them to hear. "Namjoon quite likes his assistant, wonder what he'd do if something happened to her."

Though the threat wasn't directly said, it's clear what Jojo meant and as she pulls back, smiling sweetly; the girl's pale face tells you that she clearly understood.

"Is that all then?" Jin says from beside you, causing you to jump. When did he get so close? The girl glances at the two of you and seems to grow furious at the sight. Her pale face quickly flushes with anger and she scowls before storming away, ramming her shoulder violently into yours before she goes; her friend scuttling after her.

"Ya!" Jojo calls, but the girl is already gone, and you don't mind. Scoffing, she shakes her head before turning to you. "So immature...what are we kids?"

You don't respond, instead, you turn away from the pair of them, finding your printed schedule discarded and drenched on the ground. Sighing, you pick it up, holding it gingerly in your hands.

Everything soiled.

"Now I have to start all over."

Behind you, Jojo and Jin give each other a look before Jojo kneels beside you and places her hand on your shoulder. When you don't look at her right away, she peers into your face and you turn to her, your face blank.

"Yen, are you alright?" you nod before pulling away, throwing the schedule in the trash can.

"I'm fine."

Jojo sighs before standing as well.

"Why didn't you stop them?" you pause at the question.

Why didn't you stop them? You're not sure you know yourself. You wanted to, you wanted to fight back...

But you have no fight left.

Sighing, you shake off the feeling of despondency before turning to her and smiling weakly.

"Were they wrong?" Jin furrows his brow in concern at the phrase. He tries to read your expression, understand what's wrong but it's near impossible. You've closed yourself off to everyone around you, and while you try to act tough, you're afraid. Sighing you turn away from them, unable to handle the pitying looks. "Besides, I don't have to answer to them."

I don't have to answer to anybody.

After a moment, Jin walks to your side and places his hand gently on your shoulder. Surprised, you flinch away from his grasp, but it doesn't phase him. He looks down at you with a somber expression before noticing your drenched shirt. You follow his gaze and the heat of embarrassment floods your cheeks. You quickly fold your arms across the stain, acting as though it doesn't exist. He smirks a little at the attempt.

Now she...she's interesting.

"Jojo?" He calls, still staring at you, and you narrow your eyes.

What is he expecting, a cookie?

"Would you mind printing out the schedule for Ms..." His eyes search for your badge before he locates it and takes it, reading your name. "...Lin today?"

Jojo nods but looks towards him a bit perplexed.

"Sure...but what are you planning to do?"

Smiling he twirls your ID in his hand before you snatch it away from him which only makes his smile grow wider. Taking your hand, he turns and pulls you behind him, Jojo staring at the two of you in shock.

"I'm going to help her change."
