High School Revenge
High School Revenge is an interactive fiction game set in the scariest imaginable location: high school. In this game, you will get to play as a teenager that was betrayed by his best friends and classmates 7 years ago, and get to come back to their high school, with a completely different look, preparing your revenge on them, Count of Monte-Cristo style. You will get to live a full academic year alongside your 8 targets, as you befriend, betray, and even romance them to get what you want. Will you forgive them after learning of their reasons or will you go through with your sweet, sweet revenge? The current version of the demo is 102k words.
Demo
The game is still a work-in-progress, so any suggestions are appreciated! If you find any bugs or issues, make sure to mention them.
Other places where you can follow the project or support me:
X/Twitter COG Forum Patreon (+many words demo, I lost count)
Features:
Play as male, female, or nonbinary.
Romance your 6 childhood bullies, your 2 childhood friends, or hidden allies.
Live the tragic childhood events that lead to the worst day of your life and decide how everything went down.
Almost all targets will have deep secrets that you’ll have to discover throughout the story and use against them.
Pretend to be a charismatic popular kid, a likeable klutz, a rebel that goes against the norm, or the edgy, silent type.
Lie, charm, spy, blackmail, everything is on the table to get your revenge. There is no “good” way to learn the targets’ secrets and there’s no perfect way to get the job done.
Your stats will almost never affect your capability to get revenge. All that will make a real difference will be your relationship with all the characters.
Spend a full academic year getting to know your targets, interacting with them through random events, relationship events, or hobby events, similar to a Persona game.
Romance Options:
Targets
Dylan Evans
The first friend the MC ever made, Dylan was once just a nerdy Asian kid with big square glasses, playing video games with you every single day. However, as time passed, he turned into a social media influencer, garnering over tens of thousands of likes on every post.
With an incredibly fake smile, Dylan manages to turn most people into his followers, as his strategy to suck up to the rest of the students seems to work quite well.
Though he seems to be quite irredeemable, you do remember him being a selfless kid with a big heart. There are so many memories with him helping you out whenever he could, being the only person you could confide in. What could have made him turn against you when you needed him most?
Olivia Hartley
If your MC had to choose the most unlikely person to ever do them wrong, then Olivia would be their first choice. Strong willed and incredibly sarcastic, this raven-haired tall girl has remained exactly the same 7 years later.
And yet, she did betray you on the day of the Tragedy, giving secret information to your bullies and allowing you to fall victim to their prank… What could have been her reason?
Olivia is an incredibly intuitive person, with a quick mind and a powerful personality to boot. Someone like her will likely be a huge challenge in the upcoming revenge, but not even her can stop this mastermind.
Michael Knox
This tall, dark, and handsome captain of the Baseball team can be, depending on your choices, the person that tricked you into falling in love with him, only to publicly humiliate you in front of the whole school.
He is an incredibly talented athlete with a very arrogant attitude, assuming that the world belongs to him. With a very rich dad to support him, nothing has ever gone wrong in his life, if we were to ignore his mother’s death during his birth.
Can he be considered one of the main antagonists of this story or is he just a secret follower that only followed orders during the Tragedy?
Cecily Knight
Ah yes, Cecily Knight. Everyone, everywhere knows who Cecily Knight is. This petite blue-eyed blonde is the captain of the swimming team, and regularly publicly humiliates anyone that attempts to get to know her romantically.
With such a strong reputation, Cecily manages to order around anyone in the school with ease, as they all lower their heads when she passes them on the hallways.
However, observing her more closely can reveal that she is much more docile with her friends and loved ones. Is she actually an ice queen or is it all a facade to protect herself?
Connor Cobb
With his long blond hair and piercing smile, Connor tends to attract every girl that passes his way. However, he manages to make them all leave once he opens his mouth, as his desperation can be seen from miles away.
As the star guitarist of The Fighting Rooster, Connor is an incredibly talented individual that planned the whole part of the Tragedy where they befriended you first before destroying your life.
Though he seems like a total idiot, looking into his life seems to reveal that there is more to him than just this fake persona he shows everyone. With 3 younger siblings, Connor seems to have a lot on his shoulders as many in his family look up to him.
Isaac Freeman
With his curly red locks and emerald eyes, Isaac manages to trick many people into thinking he is someone they would like to get to know. As the mastermind behind the Tragedy, he is the worst out of all the people on this list.
It is quite common for him, even 7 years later, to bully students so badly that they decide to move schools. By observing his behavior, it seems that all he cares about is being thoroughly entertained.
Either make him laugh, do something outrageous, or get out of his way, as he will do his best to make every day more interesting than the last.
Vivian Porter
Vivian turned from Isaac’s best friend in her childhood to Dylan’s current confidant. With a seemingly perfect appearance and an endless wardrobe, Vivian manages to impress anyone that sees her pass by.
She is incredibly empathic, being able to tell what anyone is feeling at a glance, allowing her to use this skill to make anyone fall for her ambitious tricks.
Is she just someone that just made a mistake during childhood or are her intentions impure at this age as well?
Haley Freeman
As Isaac’s twin sister, nobody would expect her to be the biggest goody two shoes the world has ever seen. Seemingly stuttering her way through most conversations, people usually tend to forget she even exists.
This curvy redhead has a deep passion for painting, as she spends most of her time in the school gardens, capturing the view.
Is there more to Isaac’s sister than meets the eye or is she just another victim of Isaac’s abuse?
Allies
Angela Slone
A swimmer with long, brown hair, Angela is part of the team alongside Cecily. After being bullied into submission by the harpy, she reluctantly decides to help the MC carry out their revenge against their many targets.
With a bubbly personality and a merciful soul, Angela is possibly the worst ally for this revenge you could find. However, this doesn’t mean she can’t be tricked into giving you what you want.
Marcus Parmer
Marcus has led a horrible life during high school. Being diagnosed with a medical condition forcing him to go bald, he has been constantly bullied by Isaac ever since he joined the Baseball team.
He is much more serious than any of the allies you can find in the school, but he isn’t the most capable person for the job. He is, however, excited to help you get rid of the scum pretending to be students in his school.

Hello!! Do you mind doing Sanji with love language of quality time please? Have a lovely lovely day/night!!
(btw, I absolutely adore your blog, and I agree with so many things you’ve said about Sanji!!! Seriously I adore the way you think about Sanji <3 and actually, I’ve been holding this in since I first watched OP and I came across your post about your fav Sanji scenes, just never had the courage to tell you, not to mention I didn’t have tumblr account back then, but: I couldn’t have agreed more with you when you mentioned your feelings about Sanji and Pudding’s kiss. The only difference being that I knew I was already genuinely in love with him, so I felt it hit me quite strongly. And then I started making up all kinds of unrequited love angst scenarios in my head with him, where reader’s are unrequited. Though, I’m genuinely shocked by how similarly we think and simp for the man. I thought I was a crazy idiot until I saw your post. So thank you for sharing all your thoughts :))
Always a Priority
Hey love,
I am so so happy that you have read my favourite Sanji scenes work before and agree with that. I hope you have also read my fav Sanji outfits hehe. And yes, Sanji is someone who has captured my heat from a long while and I haven’t left him since. I am… a bit similar to Sanji when it comes to love. I adapt and make sure that my lover stays happy when they are with me. I… I haven’t been given a proper chance to make someone fall in love. It sucks that It’s always been me who falls in love fast, harder and deeper. So, maybe at some point I realised how Sanji would love his S/O and wondered how beautiful their life would be with him. He is Fictional. I know. I am aware of that. But, when real life just hurts continuously, I found a bit of relief in these fanfics. Getting way too personal here, aren’t I? Hehe, I hope you continue to read and enjoy my writings. Thanks for being here.
This is one of my pieces for the mini event. Please enjoy and let me know what you think about this. Please forgive any mistake, it isn't proofread.

Quality Time
After a long shift of work, you noticed him on his bike outside your work, waiting to pick you up. Even though he was tired, he was everyday waiting for you. As if it was a medicine, your fatigue was gone after seeing him.
As it has been only 3 months since you have been going out, so this was the only time of day you both could meet. Sure, you both went on dates on the weekends but, he wanted to see you everyday just like you did. You sat behind him and hugged him, that was the only thing he wanted from you. Just to feel you beside him. Comfortable. Is how he wanted to make you feel.
You were grateful for him being there to take you home. Especially during the times when you told him to go home as it was getting late. Which was more of the reason he stayed to drop you. The smooth ride with him was all you wanted. Valued. It was what you felt with Sanji.
Before you met Sanji, he would go straight home after a long shift to just crash for the day, sometimes dropping his female colleagues or friends. Too tired to even eat after the day. While you would also go home. Thinking about your life choices. The mistakes you made.
Now, it was different. You both had something to look forward to everyday. Meeting each other even though the time you meet was less, it was all you needed to boost up your oxytocin levels. Everyday, after he dropped you, you made sure that make him eat with you at your house. Then he could go and crash at his place. If you let him go, he would be too tired to make himself something and would not eat. Well, he wouldn’t say no to you, especially since all you wanted was to him to be healthy. Not only he dropped you, he would always eat if he was with you. Always a Priority. For each other.
While he ate with you, he would never look at his phone. Unless if it was urgent call. You were so shocked at how you were being treated by this man before you. Your house was small, but it never felt so warm, like a home until he arrived. You were desperate for love and now, he pulled you out of it. Providing you with the love you never received.
Sanji on the other hand felt his home to be where you were. 3 months. How was his life before he met you, he didn’t want to experience it again. Longing for someone to love him, like he does. He would love to move in with you but, it would be too soon.
You noticed that Sanji was far more patient than you were. He would think a lot. You don’t even know how many times you were impressed by how calm he behaves in the most hectic situations. While Sanji loved how you don’t filter your words with him. Always honest. Straight to point. No mind games. No need to worry, because you’d say what you felt. Making it very easy to understand you.

I want to echo all the nice things people have said about your work, and add one more: I appreciate that your blog offers space to mourn the Holocaust. Not the Holocaust as a metaphor, not the Holocaust as a rhetorical invocation, but the Holocaust in and of itself. It provides a sobering kind of relief. When I was a kid learning about the Holocaust, my classes always showed me Life is Beautiful and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (UGH) and one teacher insisted that she wanted me to understand "how the Jews kicked Hitler's ass!" Which... no. On so many levels. So I admire how your work holds the dialectical truths of mass tragedy and brave resistance. Your scholarship matters, your mental health matters, and I can't wait to read your book next year!
This message is so lovely I was too verklempt to even answer it last night. Thank you, so much, for taking the time to write and send this.
And yes I totally get what you mean. It's not some, as you put it, rhetorical invocation populated by faceless martyrs, but the very real murders of millions of real, flawed, living, breathing humans. I think the rhetorical version, with its ideologies and hagiographies, is easier to swallow.
I hate most Holocaust movies. At least, American ones. They just want so badly for there to be a happy ending and...the Holocaust doesn't have one. [Unnamed legendary Jewish director] optioned the rights to [book similar in scope to mine which came out in the last 4 years] and I'm not even upset, because I don't enjoy that director's gentile-focused quasi-uplifting attempts to depict said events. Hitler said he was going to destroy the majority of European Jewry, and he did. In the space of 12 years he destroyed civilizations, cultures, and languages spanning 1000+ years; more, if you hold him responsible for the ethnic cleansing of MENA Jewish communities post-1948. Nothing uplifting there.
That's why I think I like weird, post-modern, magical realist approaches to Holocaust fiction [see: my boyfriend recently convinced me to watch Jojo Rabbit and Inglorious Basterds]. Telling any of these stories doesn't fit into Western narrative conventions. So make it weird; have the characters dance to David Bowie; make it a Western with subtitles; make the audience wonder if magic or just mundane in the specific context of the story. That's, imo, the only way to capture the sheer unreality of these very real events in fiction. I would LOVE a work of magical realist Holocaust fiction that involves the golem of Prague (if it exists omg tell me!) or something similar. Keeping in mind, of course, that I'm neither a film not a literary scholar. Just, as a historian who took one cultural criticism course in undergrad, those feels the most...right.
And oy your teacher. I feel for her; this is a difficult subject to teach. But...the Jews didn't kick Hitler's ass. That's the opposite of what happened. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising is the most famous instance of organized Jewish resistance to the Holocaust, and those fighters only kicked ass until the Nazis (quickly) realized that they needed reinforcements and flamethrowers because oops these Jews came prepared. And even the fighters themselves knew that they weren't going to "win" anything. They were making a symbolic historical gesture/statement and fully expected to die. To the point that survivors almost uniformly express in their memoirs and testimonies that the ones who died fighting were the only real heroes and they rest of them are nbd, and this isn't something that should be talked about (which, is something that I'm trying to respect in my book! Like the fact that Zivia Lubetkin utterly rejected any attempt to describe her as a hero matters, even though that's how I personally view her).
Anyway I've rambled enough. Thank you again for the message!

Hi!
I’m not sure of this is how to go about this correctly.
I’m not sure what your position is on others drawing inspiration/directly from your incredible fan fiction writing but, on Ao3 there is a fic called ❤️lestappen- One shorts💙 by lestapeeen. The most recent chapter (14) is very similar to the monza chapter of long live(twwct) specifically the piggy back and proposal promise. some of the dialogue is exactly the same.
I figured you should know. If it’s a cool with you or if you knew already, sorry to be a bother.
DISCLAIMER: This post, by no means, is asking for ANYBODY to send this author mentioned (and tagged) below hate. On anon or main. I have been pretty damn clear with my feelings on the matter below. They know what they've done, and I won't stand for it. Nobody needs to make this worse by sending them death threats. With that out of the way, let's deep dive, shall we?
YOU KNOW WHAT?
First off, god bless you, bestie. God BLESS you. I want to smooch you on your incredibly wonderful forehead. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I cannot be everywhere at once and cannot possibly read every fanfic posted to AO3, but it's not fucking cool for people to straight-up plagiarize my shit.
Secondly, I'd like to ask that if ANY of my followers come across something that looks very suspiciously similar to my fics, please let me know. You can for sure send it on anon, or send me a dm.
Now, with that being said, I clicked on this fucking fic not knowing what to think. I went into it with a pretty open mind, knowing that there are quite a few authors currently posting fics that are verrrrrrrrrrry similar to my writing style. I've gotten pretty close to calling a few of these authors out but haven't for a few reasons.
Fanfics based on the same ship, in the same canon setting, are always going to be... let's use the word "similar" here. The plot can only change so much when you're following canon events, you know? I don’t write AUs, so I’m only going off canon-inspired fics. My fics generally follow along with canon timelines and therefore, other author’s fics that follow the same timeline are going to be... similar. I get that and accept that.
Characterizations are bound to be... well, fuck it, let's use that word "similar" again. I'm gonna be pretty forgiving when someone's Max is damn near the same as my Max because one: I'm a good and forgiving person, and two: I think my characters (while totally fucking fictional) are very life-like to the real person. So, with that in mind, when I read a fic with characterizations similar to mine... I will usually give somebody grace... and accept that maybe, just possibly, they see Max Verstappen (the person) the same way I do (fictionally) and it’s a big old coincidence that our fics read so similar. You know? Does that make sense?
But with all that being said, I’m not a fucking idiot.
And honestly? I give more grace than I should on this goddamn website. (lmfao, respectfully.) This is sadly not the first time that somebody has very much written in my likeness, and I know it won't be the last. But this is definitely the boldest version of plagiarism I've seen. I haven’t clicked on any chapter except for 14, and I heavily skimmed the first part, but let’s take a little deep dive into some of the highlights. Because I will show the receipts, bestie.
from their story:

from long live:
Tumblr media
..... right, let's move on.
from their story:

okay................. sure

If you're going to plagiarize my shit... you could at least put it in a different font, so to speak. "Hey, can I copy your homework?” “Sure, but change it up a bit.”
Girlie pop, you stopped even trying to change it the fuck up.
Let me be clear: I do not authorize anybody to translate, re-post or distribute my work without my written consent. This is in a disclaimer (that I will post below) in every single one of my fics. Taking MY dialogue is NOT okay.
Direct quote from the beginning note of Long Live:  DISCLAIMER #4: This is 100% fictional, and I do not own any person, team, or sponsor referenced in this story. I mean no offense to any person(s) mentioned and characterized in this story. I am not affiliated with any part of Formula 1 or its subsections. Please do not translate, re-post, or distribute my work without my written consent. I will cry.
To sum up, writing is not easy, and it takes time and effort. Time away from my friends, my girlfriend, my family. Time away from my job and my other hobbies. Long Live is 76 thousand words and took me countless hours to write.
To have somebody so blatantly and disrespectfully post MY SHIT as their own and not even try to give me credit? To not write a note that said, “Heyyyyy go read long live, which I [clearly] really enjoyed!” or even a “Some of this dialogue was inspired by @fabbyf1” or even just a “lmfao some of this i didn’t write but the rest i did” really pisses me off.
Why did it ever have to come to this?
I am SO disappointed right now.
Happy fucking Friday, I guess.
For full transparency, here is the link to their fic: https://archiveofourown.org/works/55255699 and here is the link to their tumblr: @l-estappen
Here is the link to MY fic, which was posted on April 2nd, 2023, and written in Google Docs with revision history about a month before that. I have receipts out the fucking ass, my dear. https://archiveofourown.org/works/46190509/chapters/116284915
Be well.

Hello I'm coming in good faith to ask if you could explain your feelings about RPF and maybe why sports RPF is so popular. Mainly asking because I've been having some RPF thoughts about a couple of celebrities I enjoy and I'm pretty new to this stuff and need some guidance. I know about the basic dos and don'ts of RPF like avoiding defamation and harassing the people your write about, I just wanna get more into the details.
I'm gonna be honest with you, you might have chosen a wrong person to talk to. I am, what I unofficially called, a bitter RPF writer. As opposed to enthusiastic fans RPF writer, or neutal analysing RPF writers. If I didn't do RPF, my love for football would probably not prevail. I have so much anger inside me that such industry would be difficult to look at.
Why is RPF popular? I think it depends on a person. Some people are genuinely in love with the celebrities, or at least attracted to them. Some enjoy this "research" aspect of collecting various videos, articles, other sources. I don't think there is one "right" way to do RPF. Some people write basically OCs with faceclaims (I even saw the word "faceclaim" used in one older RPF community), some people get heavily inspired by actual events and rumours.
Why is sports RPF so popular in particular? Because sports provides for a lot of human interactions, and fanfic is mainly ship-driven. A lot of rather "extreme" or unusual interactions too. As someone who did a bit of theatre, I imagine the dynamics in a football team to be strangely similar. You get to know each other very quickly, but not like people do "on the outside". You learn about someone's stress reactions, someone's approach to victory or rivalry, about someone's sensitivity to certain things. And only later, if ever, you learn what they like to do in their free time, what is their favourite band or what are their goals for life. This kind of atmosphere is definitely inspiring for a lot of shippers.
And as for any ethics... Well, if you don't feel comfortable sharing your RPF creations, you can always make your account private, hide it from search engines or lock your works for logged users only (either of those will definitely be available on whatever site you are using). I'd personally wouldn't post on sites like Twitter or Instagram, where there is huge traffic or non-RPF fans and people from the industry too. But I know some people do, often using some kind of a privacy method.
I think the most important thing is to remember that whatever you do, it's fictional. It sounds so obvious, but it might not really be. Some people get attached a lot. Some people have actual theories about those people. We use real sources, a lot of them speculative or straight up fake. It's important to keep in mind that there is someone's persona, which exists up to public interpretation, there is your interpretation of it, and then there is an actual person behind it whom you will never truly know.
To be honest, for me, RPF is neither inherently good or bad in my opinion. It's just something that people do. I think RPF gets really stigmatised mostly because it deals with queerness and sexuality. What is "The Crown" is not published RPF? Or, in football community, The Champions? 😂

— I write for fun. Therefore, I do this on the side; just for fun. A lot of smut, and generally just thirst with the occasional (maybe) dark twist, or unconventional situation. I am an 18+ BLOG. Your viewing of my content is your choice, as is your use of social media. There are always warnings on my posts. Additionally, just because I write some things does NOT mean I advocate for or do and support whatever such things I may include in my indulgent fics in real life.
— All of my written works are works of FICTION. Any coincidental similarities with real-life people, situations, current events, and so on have no correlation with my views, or with the direction of the fic. Anything written in the fic, stays in the fic. So, chillax.
— As I am an 18+ Blog, naturally, I am also 18+. I also like using images that look close to the scene that I envision in my head, so take note! It might help you visualize better~

I read Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid last year and much like pretty much everyone else on the planet, I loved it. The concept really inspired me and I've had this piece saved to my laptop for months, so I got home today and thought, "why not post it, we'll see what people think."
This is a little taster for it, I'm not 100% on a name for the series, I just wanted to test the waters. Of course, this is a work of fiction, so it's not tied to real-life events and timelines. It's just a bit of fun.
Enjoy, like and reblog.

Interviewer: Veronica Styles… thanks so much for joining us.  I think I speak for everyone when I tell you how much of an honour it is for you to agree to a chat with us.
Veronica: The pleasure is all mine.  You have my rider… Styles gives me a wink from across the coffee table between us.
Interviewer: I’d love to go back to the beginning.  Your story is so fascinatingly illusive it seems almost a crime to not delve into the origins.  You’ve had an almost Priscilla Presley level of intrigue present in your life, tell me about how you dealt with that when you first met Harry.
Veronica: Well, it’s quite funny actually… to be here talking with you about this in this format.  It definitely makes me feel old.  Harry always used to say, ‘I’ll open up about our life when I’m old and grey and all this is a memory.’  She gestures to her white hair, as curly as it was when she was in her 20s.  Her husband famously said he would retire from the spotlight at 50 years old.  The musician has since recently released his 30th album at the age of 72.  It’s your lucky day, darling.  I suppose I can see how you would get to that comparison but it feels very strange to connect myself with Priscilla.  Elvis is an icon and was a real change of pace for pop culture in the 60s.  She pauses and then a cat-like smile slides itself across her face.  I suppose Harry was, is, very similar.  I know it’s reductive to think of him as simply a husband and a father but that is who he is to me, it’s difficult to see him as anything else.  To acknowledge your question, I simply didn’t deal with it.  It was very much a head stuck in the sand situation for me.  Harry was not an easy person to deal with in those days.  He’s mellowed out a lot now, granted he’s in his 70s and, if anything, more stubborn than ever.  But you see, Harry was a package deal.  To love him, was to love his lifestyle, his job, his fame, his manager, his publicist, and his fanbase.  She chuckles fondly, reminiscence present on her features.  We used to joke about how we were one step away from having his personal assistant in bed with us…  I dealt with that in my own way, and I suppose I have regrets when it comes to that.  I was very young… She answers coyly and open-ended; a Styles trademark.  I have a feeling I may have touched a slightly exposed nerve with my question.
Interviewer: You were 17 years old when you and Harry met.  Can you remember what your first thoughts were during that meeting?  People often talk about a shift when they meet significant people.
Veronica: I think I have a slightly tainted point of view on that sentiment.  It’s almost…  artificial.  Because, when we met it did feel very significant because everyone was telling me how significant it was.  So, while I absolutely agree that I knew I’d met someone special, it’s because I truly had.  I’d met someone that was incredibly famous, successful and who was culturally disruptive.  I suppose it wasn’t until later on that I realised it was a different kind of special.  A special that was going to have a personal effect on my life.
Interviewer: You couldn’t possibly have known at that time that you would marry this man and have children with him.  Did you have any inkling in yourself that you would even meet him again?
Veronica: I hoped that I would.  I used to always laugh when reading about people who fall in love with their future partners at the first meeting because I just didn’t think that was possible.  Harry and I were electric, we didn’t realise it at the time, but looking back it was truly a match of souls, as lovey-dovey as that sounds.  When you’re young, everything feels colossal in terms of importance.  Because as bad as it sounds, your world revolves around you.  And, I don’t know, hormones are raging and in abundance.  So, your reactions to things are super-powered.  I thought of nothing else after I’d met Harry.  He’s an old man now, but you have to understand the level of sexual magnetism he held, the charisma.  He was incredibly wanted and lusted after.  He was everything young girls wanted and dreamed of.  I was never immune to that, the usual trope is, ‘I liked her because she was different, she didn't fawn over me’.  I’m not admitting that I fawned, but I didn't have the cool girl demeanour people often attach to me.  I was very aware and receptive to his effect on me as a young woman.  So, yeah, I was desperate to meet him again once I had.  But more in the way of a teenager wanting to see her crush again; it was natural.
Interviewer: Can you remind us of that first meeting?
Veronica: Oh, gosh.  Okay, so Harry’s story is always different, to be honest, I don’t think he even remembers fully because parts of it change every time he tells it.  I laugh as she rolls her eyes.  All I know is he took a liking to me when we first met, but he didn't make much of an effort to follow up on that.  At that point, women were queuing up to offer him anything he wanted, and he didn't have time to pursue someone he didn't know or who wasn’t game for it, if you know what I mean.  His time was taken up, let's just say that.  So, anyway, we met at an arena; my friend and I had signed up for agency work at a hospitality company and we’d been sent out to Manchester International Arena, and they were hosting the Brits there.  So, we’d been put on VIP drinks service, Harry at that time, was not at VIP level, he’d get there eventually as we know.  But it was an odd time because he was very famous and beloved within his fanbase, but the general public were taking time to, kind of, catch up to that.  But his friend, Ed Sheeran, was enjoying the VIP experience and took Harry as a sort of unofficial plus one, I say unofficial but he was never kicked out so I don’t think anyone had a problem with him being there.  I was working the bar and I saw him standing around a tall table, chatting and laughing.  But he has this nervous tick, where he scratches the back of his neck and when he had long hair he’d toss it all forward, ruffle it up and then flick his head, kind of, off to the side and smooth it through his fingers.  He did that A LOT.  And I remember thinking, ‘this guy is gonna get a crick in his neck if he does that anymore tonight’.  But he did, and each time he did it he’d glance around him and then try to look interested in the conversation he was supposed to be having.  I only learned this was a nervous tick when I noticed his hands were shaking.  And I mean, shaking.  Anyway, I think I must have watched him do that about seven times before he looked around and caught my eyes.  I was very shy so I looked away immediately, I was so embarrassed but I couldn’t help but glance back and I saw him still looking with a smirk on his face.  But he also had this quizzical look in his eyes.  I always say to him, you looked at me like I was a crossword and you just couldn’t wait to get the last clue to complete it.  Very whimsical of me, I know.  She laughs again and fiddles with the ends of her hair, shaking her head thoughtfully.  She hasn’t made much eye contact with me by this time, choosing to glance just past me.   He didn't speak to me until the very end of the VIP service.  He came up and asked for my name.  I told him and he drew it out long in his accent, but not like my accent, I knew immediately he was from Cheshire.  It’s like a posh version of a proper northerner, he hates when I say that, so definitely put that in.  I bet you can’t believe how much I remember.  It’s sad, isn’t it?
Interviewer: Absolutely not, this is gold.  I don’t suppose you remember what he said to you?
Veronica: Not completely.  Probably something smug ‘cause he’s a cocky git when he wants to be.  She properly laughs.  I just know that I felt warmth when he was close.  He was very attentive and very easy to talk to… but very hard to actually draw anything significant from, you probably remember that from his interviews.  Before he left he decided to down his drink, not very impressively, and he stared at me while he did it.  He slammed his glass down on the bar, gave me a nod and then he was gone.
Interviewer: Okay, so you meet Harry at 17.  Then most people will be shocked to hear that you didn't meet him again until much later, is that accurate?
Veronica: Yes, a lot of people think that we are somewhat childhood sweethearts.  It was nice at the time for people to believe that.  Harry doesn’t like to talk about relationships at all in the public sphere, that’s why I’ve never actually spoken much to the media before now.  We didn't start actually seeing each other romantically until I was about… 23, I think?  So, he was 25, he’d left his band and gone out on his own.  Height of fame and success, he was seeing Camille Rowe, yeah… all that good stuff.  She seems uneasy again but shakes it off with a smile in my direction.  I’d just completed my degree and I was training as a nurse.  So… She pauses for a long time, almost a minute, staring and thinking.  This is a story that I don’t think anyone has heard before… it’s going to be odd telling it.  All I’ll say to preface it is that it is and was a real source of emotional turmoil for everyone involved.  I nod and try to ensure her that as a journalist, I personally cannot in good conscience take on a story that she doesn’t want to tell.  She reassures me.  I’m not getting any younger, it’ll be somewhat... freeing to finally open up about it.

Here's an interesting story I'd like to tell you guys.
I watched hbomberguy's video, Plagiarism and You(tube). Amongst the numerous creators he exposed, was one of my favourites, Internet Historian. It shattered my heart so much, and I hadn't even watched the plagiarised video, Man in Cave yet. I love Internet Historian for his wonderful comments about meme culture and moments in internet history, and it's pretty shocking to see an entire hour's length of lifted content that was posted and reuploaded subsequently. It's blatant plagiarism.
That made me so utterly confused. How many creators could I ever even trust after this whole exposé? That spiral sent me into an obsessive drive where I combed through entire sections of my work trying to find anything that might seem plagiarised, until I lifted one of the paragraphs from the first chapter of my work and pasted it in a plagiarism checker.
Result? 100% plagiarised.
WHEN DID I LIFT AN ENTIRE PARAGRAPH FOR MY FANFIC??
As with any person with anxiety, I blamed the AI, the website, the faults in the system, the coffee I had for yesterday that made me still have lingering jitters.
Until I saw the link to the original work.
It was MY FANFIC. No, not the one on ao3, MY FANFIC THAT I CROSSPOSTED ON WATTPAD.
I almost laughed out in shock.
To be honest, fanfiction is very derivative by nature, it's pretty understandable for it to have some semblance of original work in order for it to work in the first place. But the idea of it being completely copy pasted seemed so odd and unfair. It felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest for a moment, but who knows, it might be the coffee I had yesterday. Damn Starbucks, the cornerstone of modern capitalism.
For long, I was trying to search for the original work that inspired my fanfic Infernum in the first place. No, I'm not talking about Diabolik Lovers. There was an original work on ao3 that I had taken a reference from while creating the characters and backgrounds in Infernum, either because I hadn't really found a similar story or because one of my previous ideas didn't match with my plot. Or maybe the idea seemed so pretty that I wanted to expound upon it and spend 40 chapters over exploring that theme. Obviously that didn't work out, you'll see later.
In that search for years, I could never find the original fiction, alas. It was a burning curiousity where it felt like even getting inspiration in the form of ideas was immoral for me, even while doing a presumably derivative work: writing a fanfiction.
But the real motive of writing this is the fact that a lot of settings, characters and plot points that I gather become something entirely different from what I set out to make. A lot of those are inspired from other media, real life events, spirals of caffiene induced anxiety at 3 a.m. that provide more depth into my inner consciousness than an LSD trip. They should really classify coffee as a drug eh?
You remember I told you two paragraphs ago that my plan of exploring themes discussed in that original fiction didn't work out? A lot of the plot points and outlines I had set out to explore, I couldn't even string into the story. That's because stories are living, breathing beasts that keep evolving with time. I set out to write a simple story about this one scene I had in my mind but it takes 30 chapters to reach that scene, so I wrote the 30 chapters before realising that my original vision felt too small for the organism I had created. It's like the ship of Theseus, isn't it? When do you know the original ship stops existing, and the new one gains reality?
If someone does plagiarise, it's wrong, but when does it stop being inspired and get plagiarised instead?
Ideas can be plagiarised. So can words, characters and plots. When do you stop blaming plagiarism and start claiming inspiration?
It also raises the question towards what tools we use to examine the plagiarism. TwatGPT might not be the best thing in the world to examine the human creation of fiction. It's akin to running your work through a meatgrinder, and examining it under a lens. You know, maybe it's lifted from the fanfic you crossposted to the website that now feeds unsuspecting preteens ads every five minutes while they read another cookie cutter romance novel.
Maybe technology should be blamed as well. What about the aforementioned TwatGPT that collects datasets from the very site that gets shunned for being banal, that gets loads of crap for writers merely expressing themselves, for providing much needed media where queer people get accurate, realistic representation.
As I mentioned, after a while, fanfics take a soul of their own, so the data lifted by A.I. could easily be exploited into being incorporated within "original" works. This has led to many of my fellow fanfiction writers in locking their works to private and banning user access from unregistered accounts. It's especially disheartening, since I know that a lot of people are not accessing explicit content through their accounts. All of my work is NSFW, and most of my loyal readers are commenting anonymously using the guest feature. Hacking your readership into half for the sake of protecting your rights and intellectual property feels like true Orwellian horror.
Even if one makes the argument that it's a machine programme, it doesn't distiguish between data, how else will it learn? Well, if it's lifting up entire works and presenting you presumably "real" content while the said content is regurgitated, soulless strings of words, it's not even excusable. Where the intelligence in ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE when your machine doesn't even know how to develop a proper idea?
Human creation is and always will be unique. It's not second hand or uninspired if it was heavily influenced from outside environment or preexisting media. As I learned in an art lesson, no two artworks can ever be alike. Even if one manages to copy an entire painting, you can never mimic brushstrokes of an aged, shivering hand, or the personalised touch of the creator, or the fingerprints embedded in the titanium white oil paint over the canvas. Human creation is always meant to come off original, and it's not by design, it's by polymorphism.
How do you combat this apocalypse of original content?
Simply write. It's not the first time that technology has been used against creativity, and it certainly won't be the last. The concern for the current generation shouldn't be vested in protection of original content alone, but to produce numerous new works. It's not going to be perfect, but creation is the only answer. Human content is precious by nature of being unique everytime it is being produced, so produce your own.
Regardless of how bare bones it might be, it has character, it has depth, it challenges the norm by sheer existence, and that, is what matters the most.

um, so, first of all, I want to say that in general, I really really love reading your thoughts and essays on wildbow's writing, especially the parahumans series. It's genuinely enlightening and interesting a lot of the time.
However, I've noticed this kind of pattern where you see someone making a meta-textual argument ("doyalist" reasoning, commentary on the story in the context that it is a work of fiction), and you respond, or attempt to dispute the argument with a textual argument ("watsonian" explanation, talking about the story as events that happened, without the context that the story is fictional).... which ends up not actually addressing the metatextual point?
It's like, ok, one example would be something like magneto: there's an argument that the X-men stories are loosely inspired by the civil rights movement, with Professor X and Magneto being archetypically "moderate" and "extreme". This presents a significant issue when Magneto is depicted as unreasonable, needlessly violent, and antagonist, as, deliberate or not, this sends a negative message about figures perceived as more extreme (with Malcolm X being the most common example).
The is a meta-textual argument.
A meta-textual counter-argument might be "there are other characters in the X men universe who are 'extremists' but who are portrayed relatively positively, and additionally, the fact that (the hero) Prof X's name is similar to Malcolm X indicates the creators might have felt more generous to Malcolm X and similar people than the idea suggests".
However, a textual counter argument would be to ignore the real world connections and context of the original X-men context, and simply double down on talking about how much a villain Magneto is.... which is irrelevant. It doesn't actually address what the original argument is talking about.
melancholy-jouissance was talking about Tristan as an example. He acts in a shitty way towards Byron, crosses Byron's boundaries, and crimes are motivated by a desire for sex and romance.
What's worse is that there's a stereotype (both in fiction and in the public consciousness) of gay people being more sex-motivated and sexual than straight people are. Depicting Tristan as being more sexual, and more sexually motivated than his identical twin brother plays into this stereotype in an extremely damaging way.
Deliberately or not, it sends a bad message, and is a bad representation of gay men.
(on top of this, separate from the representation thing, it's just extremely unpleasant to read as a bisexual person)
However, instead of addressing any of this, your response was to point out, with a sequence of excerpts, what Tristan did wrong, as if he was a real person on trial?
Which, is like, those are well researched, well formatted points, but you aren't actually engaging with the argument being presented to you.
If anything, bringing up these other things that Tristan did wrong kind of proves melancholy's point... doesn't it?
I don't know. I do enjoy reading your ideas and analysis, and this ask isn't meant to be calling you out or anything like that, but I do think that there's a lot here (and in similar debates) that you're missing.
Let me counter argue this in your Magneto way:
Let’s say’s that there is a panel where Magneto is on trial for trying to murder a human. And the human is saying he needs to face justice for his attempted murder. A tumblr post says, “Wow, I can’t believe Marvel thinks that Magneto was wrong for fighting back against his oppressors!”
Now, let’s say that the panel was cut out of a larger strip* and we see that he was actually going to murder another mutant before the human pushed the both of them to safety (the mutant does not know he saved his life). And we learn that said mutant was and is prominent Mutant Rights activist, who was targeted by Magneto for associating with human allies pushing for their cause.
The panel is taken out of context of a particular scene so that Marvel is made to be promoting something that isn’t true. The reality is that Magneto is framed as wrong because he was being a murderous asshole, not for wanting mutant rights.
There is a BIG difference between “Hey, Wildbow is ignorant on tropes and needs to be more world weary before tackling such heavy topics” and “Wildbow is a massive homophobe and the text clearly points to him hating people who want gay sex!”
I agree with the former, but the latter is just dramatization and dishonest to be blunt.

for the love of god its like every once in a while when e/riels can't find anything to prove that gwynriel won't happen they bring gwyn's SA like they're actually proving a good point.... SHUT THE F**K UP PLS
nothing makes me more mad than them talking about gwyn's SA like they know how she feels bc if they knew they wouldn't even dare to think about those disgusting things!!!
pls share these comments and ppl experiences so these supposed concern about gwyn's health can see how people of SA feels about sex and gwyn's character: https://www.instagram.com/p/CSh2iFnIbzO/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
they're so disgusting and this is only a fictional character but they forgot sarah also wrote these characters base on the real event. someone like gwyn exist in real life and something similar happened to them!!
and it's not just gwyn also rhysand and lucien!!! bc these two are 1. men 2. they threaten other ships (e/riel and fey/in). i haven't seen anyone saying nesta is lying about her SA bc she's not threatening any other ship or i don't see anyone fault her for drowning herself in sex and alcohol after her SA...
they also ignore what happened to feyre and what tamlin did to her bc they don't even see that as an assault and saying "feyre overreacted" and "tamlin pANiCkEd he didn't mean it" and let me tell you no feyre didn't overreacted and tamlin very much meant it, i've been in feyre's place...
honestly this fandom is degrading everyday and i'm so sorry for them.
TW: Sexual Assault I adore the link you shared, thank you so much. It was very empowering to read someone's experience and what they felt comfortable with. Not all SA survivors are going to be the same. Some may need a year before they're ready, some may need longer, some may need less than that and the link you shared is an example of what worked for them and something I hope we're all really happy to see. So any post where someone claims Gwyn MUST follow a specific timeframe because her SA assault happened over 2 1/2 years ago (by the end of SF), that because she did XYZ since then, it means she won't be ready for a physical relationship for a specific amount of time after, is a post that should not exist. I've noticed in this day and age, people like to toss around that all opinions are valid but that's a misnomer. Not all opinions are equal and valid and this one such example. If you claim you have a degree that makes you qualified to diagnose that Gwyn is not ready, you'd be wrong. A real therapist would understand that unless they had the chance to directly ask Gwyn questions related to her state of mind when it comes to relationships and her assault then no one should ever bring their degree into things. They should not be claiming they are an expert on her character based off the limited information we read about while she had a conversation with her friends under stressful circumstances. And no therapist would EVER place a time frame on when their client is ready to move forward, that is for the client to decide and the therapist to simply guide them to self awareness as to what's right for them. The only person who will be telling us if Gwyn is ready is SJM and if Gwyn is Azriel's love interest then guess what? There is a 99.9% chance that there will be intimacy as these are romance books and she has written sex into every single one of hers. Just as Rhys was ready, just as Lucien will be ready if he gets a book. And if Gwynriel is endgame, of which there are many possible hints for regardless of what some in the fandom claim, the author has said that Az is kinky which means anyone drawing fanart of Gwynriel bondage is completely justified in how they got from point A to point B. Maybe they'll have missed the mark and SJMs version of kink will deviate from that however it does not make those who commission or draw the art wrong for their current interpretation. It does not do a disservice to the character of Gwyn. Claiming it's a disservice is basically someone saying to a survivor "you were assaulted but I don't feel you should be alright with a consensual situation between two fictional people, a real possibility based on the authors writing style and previous works because I feel it's triggering for you and I think it's best if I decide when you're ready for that. You wouldn't be ready in real life therefore she's not ready either". This world seems to be full of people telling other people how they're allowed to feel about their own life experiences and it makes no sense to me. They think they're keeping it to the topic of the books and Gwyn's SA but it affects real survivors because when they claim that since Gwyn suffered SA 2.5 years ago and has trauma related agoraphobia she could not possibly be ready to overcome her trauma within a reasonable timeframe before the next book, they're saying that's the rulebook for all survivors. They're saying that there could never be a situation where someone could finally battle their demons and move forward. And no one, not Peggy from Utah or a therapist with multiple degrees should ever be telling a survivor what they can or cannot accomplish, real or fictional. Until we are in Gwyn's head and have her thoughts on what SHE thinks of Az and sex, no one should be boxing her into anything. At this point, anything is possible until we're told otherwise by the author herself.

Impact
It's still surprising to me how much one event or one person's behavior can impact me.
This week, I wrote again for the first time in months. New fiction. It was a shorter drought than the last one, and according to the beta readers I sent it to when it was in drafts, it's similar quality to my older stuff, but I was afraid before it came out a couple days ago that I'd never write again...again. Because of one person.
Last year, someone worked through nearly all of my old fictional long form work plus a couple of short stories. And they said they liked them. Lots of praise about them being emotionally evocative; about the characters feeling so real; about them fostering hope and a believe in real love; about me being a talented writer. The five years of writing leading up to that person reading the material during the worst bout of writer's block of my life had been spent letting people read my stuff with J's encouragement to get me over social anxiety and imposter syndrome that's really pretty raging. I was doing better. So much better that when this person gave me that praise, I believed them; I accepted it. It can't be overstated how rare that is. In fact, it may have been the second total time in my LIFE I accepted praise that didn't come from J without questioning it. And then I found out that a LOT of things this person told me over the past few years were lies. Or at least gross exaggerations. On top of them being mercilessly cruel to me at a very vulnerable time, these lies and/or exaggerations started feeding the Imposter Syndrome monster I'd starved for so long. Despite all the progress I'd made and support I have from J and beta readers who have become dear friends, it grew stronger and started telling me that since so much of what this person told me wasn't true, the praise about the writing wasn't either. And because the praise sounded like my actual friends' praise, then maybe that praise was dishonest too. Maybe I shouldn't write even when I can because I'm not any good at it. It's a waste of time. When I sent the drafts to the beta readers, as soon as I hit 'send', all I could think was that I'd just sent them a pile of flaming garbage; the worst thing I'd ever made; why was I letting them even look at it?
And then today, after hearing other people reassure me that my writing doesn't suck, I came here, and saw a friend's post that made me want to respond to it. But I'm afraid to respond to it. Because I don't want this person who lied and hurt me so much to know I'm here. I'm even afraid to privately reach out to the original post creator, because I don't already know them well. I'm afraid they could be connected to this person I don't want to find me.
So this one person has set my progress with Imposter Syndrome back about 5 years, and made me question my talent, and made me afraid to reach out to new people here on tumblr, something that used to be easier for me here than anywhere else. I'm doubting my skills and my safety. Because of this one person.
It's amazing the impact one person can have. I keep trying to tell myself that if one person can have this much negative impact, they can have this much positive impact too. Hopefully I've never made a negative impact like that on another person.

(survivor of genocide anon) yeah hi, i totally agree with what you said regarding focusing on real genocides. I'm somewhat new to the naruto fandom (i used to watch naruto as a kid before) so i wasnt aware people were being harassed in the name of the Uchiha genocide??? Which, what the fuck? I mostly said that because as a genocide survivor i really related to a lot of aspects of Sasuke's character and i find catharsis in like... exploring the massacare. and I thought you were anti that or +
— continuation (genocide anon) like anti reading the massacare as a genocide? or that it would have had similar effects to genocide survivors on the characters, basically.
Tumblr media
I didn't explain myself properly.
Ofc people can find catharsis in fiction, because fiction allows people to explore any kind of theme, including very traumatic ones. Actually one of the many uses of fiction is catharsis. Children's old fairytales are very creepy things because of this. Idk about the others but classic European literature explores all sort of themes as well, because authors explore the depth of human soul also through controversial themes or horrible events. So, despite fandoms' recent trend of judging a real person for the fiction they like, it's only natural for some individuals to explore one's own trauma through fiction, just like it's natural for some other individuals to avoid their own trauma surrounding themselves by only positive content.
Technically the Uchiha massacre is a genocide, but I don't like to use this word because I find the official definition fitting: Uchiha massacre is already a strong enough definition, echoing horror movies, suggesting a brutal killing of countless people.
Calling it genocide comes from the other fandom trend, of people wanting to appear "woke" social justice warriors, activists knowledgeable of real world social and political dynamics, so they use real life definitions and words they read in newspapers...nope, they learned in some other woke social justice warrior behind a keyboard, and they think they're cool. They probably are, in a circle of people who read and know less than them. To everyone else they are pathetic. For me their posts are a mix of annoying and second hand embarrassment, because the cool think about fiction is that it's fiction. The N*ruto universe is different. That's why it's interesting.
Also calling the Uchiha massacre a genocide is not only a little embarrassing for the aforementioned reasons, but also because like I said it belittles and ridicules real world genocides, the way the fandom is now, because it makes people get very hyped about 'protecting Sasuke and his clan's rights', which in their little brains means harassing those who, idk, like certain characters, like Itachi, Kakashi, Tobirama and those who sided with Konoha. This, in their poorly thinking brains, doesn't mean finding some characters interesting, hot, whatever, it means supporting genocide. The end result of this craziness is that some fans get crazily worked up about other fans' opinions and taste...cause I'm a 1000% Sasuke fan but what if someone is a, say, Shikamaru fan. There are ppl who are only into Konoha founders, or into Danzo even, should these ppl be considered fans or not? Do you see the stupidity of this argument? lol
Not just this, which is already crazy enough. It's dangerous, because it makes people forget reality and replace it with fiction, and not in a "I'm so into N*ruto that I think about it 24/7 and I daydream and make headcanons and scenarios in my head, also because I hated the way Sasuke was treated and I want to imagine him having justice" but in a "the Uchiha genocide is a war crime that must be punished. Sasuke and the others needs therapy. We must help them and give them justice, not by writing fix-it fics but by calling out all those who are ok with this systemic injustice and exploitation of underage characters"...see the difference? Imagine this crazy, mixed with "if other fans don't support my fight for the justice of fictional N*ruto characters, if they enjoy some controversial plot details that are not justice or wholesome, it means they're not real fans and they must be erased by all means"...it's harassment and it happens all the time.
So, to protect the rights of fictional characters some fans harass real people. For me it's madness, and I say it even if I get extremely pissed off for fiction related details, to the point of unfollowing/blocking ppl for the slight thing lol.
Lastly, another fandom trend is making everything about the individual, as if only those with a certain life experience are allowed to enjoy certain things, as if only those who come from an 'oppressed group' have the right to talk and, very often, insult others pulling the oppressed definition card and seeing who has more, because everyone wants to appear special so while 5 years ago everyone was INTJ/INFJ, lgbt+, black, 'aspie', now pretty much everyone is, idk, mentally ill, autistic spectrum, 'enby', trans, or a genocide survivor, if you get what I mean.
(for those who don't get sarcasm: I'm not saying all those definitions are not valid ffs! They're so valid that I think most ppl on tumblr use them to appear cooler, totally not realizing that irl not being in the majority group is f*cking hard)

Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd responds to lawsuit
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/baby-reindeers-richard-gadd-responds-to-lawsuit/
Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd responds to lawsuit
Tumblr media
The star and creator of Netflix smash Baby Reindeer Richard Gadd has responded to a defamation lawsuit by the alleged ‘real life’ Martha.
In a court document filed on July 29, Gadd said that Baby Reindeer was “not a documentary”, rather a “fictionalised retelling” of his experience.
In the 20-page declaration to support Netflix’s request to have Fiona Harvey’s defamation lawsuit thrown out, Gadd explained his experience with Harvey — as well as his motivation for writing the hit show.
“While the Series is my emotionally true story as I recall and recount, it is not intended to depict any real persons,” he wrote.
“Instead, I created fictionalised characters, including Martha and Donny, which were foils to aid my exploration of my own experiences and trauma. I intentionally used characters that did not share the actual names of any persons from my life and wrote fictionalized dialogue and scenes.”
Gadd continued, “Each of the characters from the Series has some imagined personality traits and events that I specifically selected to make them useful as dramatic devices.”
Gadd reflects on experience with stalking
In the declaration, Gadd also detailed his experience with Harvey, saying that he worked at a pub when he first met Harvey and offered her a cup of tea on the house, sparking up a conversation about their similar accents.
“Following that first meeting, Harvey subsequently stalked and harassed me throughout 2014–2017,” the documents read.
“She frequently appeared at the pub. It quickly became clear that she had memorised my shift pattern by hanging around the pub constantly. She would then arrive just before my shift started on most days I was working and sit at the end of the bar. She would also call the pub constantly on days when I was not working to check if I was in.”
Quickly, Gadd alleged that Harvey began to touch him “in inappropriate” and “sexual” ways that were unwanted, and others in the pub grew uncomfortable as well. She then obtained his personal contact information.
“Harvey sent me thousands of emails, hundreds of voicemails, and a number of handwritten letters,” he write.
“These communications often included sexually explicit, violent, and derogatory content, hateful speech, and threats.”
Gadd went on to state that Harvey was the one who “identified herself to the press as Martha”.
He added that since Harvey’s interview with Piers Morgan, other individuals had contacted him to share their experienced of being stalked and harassed by Harvey.
