"Pull up a seat, Gabito, let me tell you a little story. It'll be fun!" She sits at a table in the mess hall and there's a bag of Takis in her hand that she's eating as if they have not even the barest hint of capsaicin - but having been a child in Mexico of all places, to her, it really didn't feel like much.

"Chido. Okay, so, back in Los Muertos, I was like 16 or something and I was trying to impress this girl that went to one of the local schools. She was so cool. She was so cool that I thought she was cool and I had been in a gang for like four years at that point." The hacker snorts as she chews, rolling her eyes at herself. "But hey, in my defense, she was very pretty."

She shrugs and continues. "So she asked me if I wanted to go out with her and her friends that night, they were trying to drink and all that. Mind you, I'm 16, she's 17, neither of us are drinking age even pero I was a street kid and she was bad as hell so neither of us were that concerned about it. And she gets these older guys to buy us alcohol. College guys maybe? Definitely not age appropriate. Either way, they get us tequila and shit and then we - including the certainly not age appropriate gentlemen - all head out to the beach to have a whole drinking at the beach moment."

The hacker pinches the bridge of her nose at the memory of herself. How foolish she had been - oh God, the shit she had done in her youth for women. "I just wanna stress, again, that I was there because she was really hot. But instead of anything gay happening, I'm trying to get a 22 year old straight man the fuck away from me for like 40 minutes. And then I drank so much Corona and Patron that I threw up. Anyway. Moral of the story is. Women are the devil Don't do it. Don't do shit for 'em. Stay away from them. Pure evil."

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

There’s that post that’s like ‘everyone should get into a tiny niche fandom at least once’ fully agree, that was really fun -- but I would like to add that everyone should get into a fandom where their opinions run counter to major fanon because it really teaches you about sticking to your guns and trusting your interpretation of the text without having to rely on peer validation
