lol lmao even. thinking about last year's resolution. i did spend over a week in a row doing drawings that i finished, but then i just... didn't post them? even though i planned on doing it? ah well. technically a fail, but i'm really not upset about it.

this year is the year of the gamer. i'm aiming to play at least one new game every month. maybe i'll post about it too, but idk.

in honor of my birthday on 3/02, i'm going to be hosting an endometriosis awareness month event all through march! most of my followers are aware of my chronic disease (formerly stage iv endo warrior, and as of feb 26 i officially have no new endo - 6 years and counting!) and i think it's so important to educate and normalize conversations about this debilitating disease that affects so many people.

this is a very personal event for me as i've been writing comfort 'fics' for myself to help me through flare-ups for years, but given i'm currently in post-op recovery, i wanted to expand on them and share with all of you! i hope you enjoy xoxo

It was a year of many farming sim games and many smoochies being drawn! :D July was dominated by Art Fight and I had a hard time picking one work cause I genuinely enjoyed so many of them! And October sure was a month of "I'm dying at work send help" Here is just a single sketch! xD;; December was more packed with arts... I wanted to fit the last piece I did but also I really loved the Fan Art of Fields of Mistria I did so...at the end I picked it.

Here is to 2025 ~ may the arts improve further and hopefully The Sneric Comic will be finished as well xD; I need more Sneric arts next year

Year in Review

It was nice to reflect on the year, I've been feeling shit lately and a bit like I didn't do anything for the past 12 months, but going back through my camera roll and stuff was a nice reminder that I actually did exist this year! yay

this post ended up being quite long so I'll put it under a cut

January: that all being said, January was pretty unremarkable lol

Febuary: this month is my gfs and my sister's birthdays :) I made the shirt for my sister and the Rauisuchus tiradentes for my girlfriend.

March: In March my girlfriend and I got two ferrets Dolchii (on the left) and Gluppii (on the right)!!!

My gf had been wanting more ferrets for a while (she already had one) so we got some! These guys are so sweet and silly and hyper. I love them so much. I also spend SO MUCH TIME playing Stardew Valley because of the update. (And not to brag, but on the new game file I started for the update, I completed the community center in the 1st year and unlocked ginger island in the 2nd year, and then essentially stopped playing for the rest of the year lol)

April: I wrote Stink Bug for the Carry On Sapphic Week. The rest of this month was sad, as my girlfriend's ferret Scooby passed. He was quite old for a ferret, and we kind of knew his time was coming, but my gf and Scooby had been best friends for eight years so it was a really hard time for her. He was such a good pet and friend and he's missed deeply

May: This month was not a whole lot better. Of course we were still mourning Scooby. And I spent most of May having the worst asthma attacks of my life. It was very stressful and added on top of all that, we had to move out of our apartment the next month, but because my lungs were so bad, I could barely pack anything.

June: Asthma was still doing its best to ruin my life, and we had to move!!! This move was genuinely so awful. So much went wrong, I spent like three days straight carrying boxes and furniture up 2 flights of stairs, I couldn't breathe, I was broke, and there are still some things I have not found since unpacking so I fear they are lost forever. on the upside, Dolchii and Gluppii very much enjoyed running around an empty apartment lol

July: July is usually busy but fun, it's my birthday, my nieces birthday, and my anniversary, but this year I got covid for the first time, so no birthday or anniversary celebration for me. Surprisingly and thankfully (with my lungs being as they are) I wasn't too affected by covid, it was just like a flu for me. So I made a lot of pixel art with nothing else to do while quarantining. I made this art of the main CO gang, the tiny mall wizard, the Smiling Friends gang that I never posted, and a rolly polly animation

August: this month was chill. The highlight was when I went camping at the coast and saw a weevil irl for the first time ever!!! I love bugs so much

September: My family and I went to an aquarium, a raptor center, and I found this really cool rock shop on the coast that I'd never been to before. I bought this tiny trilobite there. I also started playing Fields of Mistria which I quite enjoy.

October: HALLOWEEN!!!! my gf had the idea of us being like dnd characters for Halloween, so we got to work. My sister and I spend ages sewing a really sick cloak for my gf to be a wizard (and I'm realizing I have no picture of said cloak, but you have to believe me, it's cool lol) and i made some foam armor and painted myself green to be an orc. Unfortunately my girlfriend was sick on Halloween so we didn't get to wear our costumes together:( my sister got this lovely pic of me in mine tho. I also drew Egg Guy this month lol

November: I spent November prepping for the carry on countdown, posting Something Borrowed, Daydreaming, and If I were Him, if He were Me, and of course, being a mod for this event!!!

December: I managed to work on the coc and make people Christmas gifts this month! I made my sister a banana slug patch, and fixed the gar I gave her last year that she broke lol, I embroidered a little teacup for my mom, and made some felt casts and band aids for my niece to play doctor/vet with her stuffed animals. and I posted Lamb art, Are They Even?, Simon as a vessel, Teeth art, Brobelove Stardew au art, and a Carry On cross stitch. I think my favorite from the coc was my Lamb art, but the cross-stitch is a close second.

I feel like I spent a lot of this year just surviving, and I'm trying to remind myself that that is okay. and I am proud of myself for the art I did manage to make.

Going in to the new year, I want to be more consistent with journaling; I made 4 entries in my 2024 journal. I also want to continue working on pixel art and to get back in to embroidery more.

Here are some miscellaneous sketches that I drew last month. I hope you like them!

She is looking to the viewer with her left hand tucked a bit under head and a bit behind her short curly bob hairstyle with twin buns. Her other arm is leaning a bit forward to her. And she has a sweet smile on her face.

The fourth image is of Fakir from Princess Tutu in his school uniform in a head to shoulders shot. He is facing our right in a side profile style to pair with the next piece of Duck from Princess Tutu. He has a soft expression on his face.

The fifth image is of Duck from Princess Tutu to go with the Fakir piece. She is facing to our left to look as if they’re facing each other. It is another side profile that is from head to shoulders in her normal duck like sweater she wears at times in the series. And she has a soft smile on her face.

The sixth image is the Desmond Sycamore drawing from Professor Layton I previously posted here on a different post. He is slightly leaning back to an implied table or desk. With his head facing in a 3/4 angle to our left slightly where his body is slightly leaning to the right. He has a light cheeky/teasing smile to the view where his eyes are looking. His right hand is holding his face up while the elbow rests on the edge of the table. While his left hand is resting face down on the table with his arm outstretch slightly on said table.

The seventh and final image is another one of Desmond Sycamore from head to shoulders facing in a 3/4 angle to the right. Looking over his shoulder which is slightly facing the other direction. He is wearing a dark turtleneck sweater. And his expression is a bemused but kind smile.

Bonus thoughts and facts:

I got interested in Fields of Mistria from seeing a few posts about it before release. Now after release I’ve been seeing a lot of artists and people who I watch videos of playing it. I really wish to play it as well but I don’t have a pc that can play it. Maybe in the future they might put it on a system I can play it on. But in the mean time it looks really fun and I really like the characters. I might draw sketches of more and maybe if I have time draw them in digital. I also might put up a poll in asking who to sketch next. Who knows?

I rewatched Princess Tutu again and was inspired to draw Duck and Fakir. It’s been about five to six years since I drew my last digital piece with them and let me say that I can see the age and mistakes. But that’s just part of the process of improvement. So I’m hoping to redraw them in my current style in digital sometime in the near future.

thanks to everyone who participated in my merch interest form! i've gotten plentiful feedback, which helped me narrow down my priorities. for those who sounded worried: yes i will have persona 3 (and possibly one p5) merch, they were just not included in my form because i already knew what i wanted to make lol for those who asked for fields of mistria and hades 2, i will copy-paste what i said on my twitter about it:

please understand that i'm not comfortable making merch of them at present time as they are early access indie games i would like to respect. fom especially as we don't know their stances on fanmerch. please keep this in mind!

MY FIELDS OF MISTRIA GAMEPLAY SO FAR...🧺

So I got Fields of Mistria on the 15th of this month of Feb. (a day after vday hah my special gift to myself~) and THIS GAME HAS HAD ME ON DEATHGRIP SINCE THEN!!!

So far already played 27.5 hours and that is insane. Like every free time I have all I do is play this game. No other game has done this to me, not even Stardew Valley and I LOVE that game to bits.

Anyhoo, meet Miss Roseali~! She's my cute lil adventurer/farmer and she's out here doing her best every day! At the start, I didn't know who to like since I went into this blind without looking at game playthroughs like I usually do with games. But I have heard that people love Olric and wish he was romanceable. I see what you did there developers, making the himbo unavailable ;)

The first person we meet is Balor and I instantly liked him. So kind, so helpful with a hint of charm. My first impression was he reminds me of Howl from Howl's moving castle. We later find out he's hiding underneath a hey-i'm-all-about-making-the-monies shell which I thought was interesting.

But then we met the grumpypants March and immediately became smitten. Even though we've seen comments of him being rude as heck and an overall bleh guy. Honestly, I think he's a porcupine. Tough on the outside but a soft marshmallow inside. And Miss Roseali has decided that's her future husband and has been bugging him ever since.

Now, allow me to share some images! Here are the first screenshots of how things looked at the start when I realised I wasn't screenshotting things. That's also her cute little spring outfit. Very cottagecoresque So this was on the 17th and I finally got a good grasp of the game finally.

But the house looks so different today! Shall update soon~

So I'm now in summer in-game, 1st year, and we decided to work on the farm. and oh goodness was it a headache clearing all that...

I heard about jump attack being to clear things faster but I didn't have it yet so I had to do it the old-fashioned way of sword thru all that yourself it took a while and eventually it was rather relaxing and not as much of a nuisance as I'd thought.

Suffice it to say, things ended up looking much better in the end, but I did not screenshot it, alas. Still, I shall be posting more updates since Miss Roseali's farm and farmhouse look so much different now.

I really really really REALLLYYYY want to play a game called fields of mistria (kinda like stardew valley) more but also i have a tendency to hyperfixate on games so hard that I play them nonstop for days then not play them for months or years- so i wanna wait till the game is out of early access!

But then i see my mooties playing and having a good time and get fomo </3 (good for yall i just have shit time management)

I actually have like. A mini concept of an au in my noggin for it. I just thought it would be rly funny to put an oc in the game that is SO out of their element but ends up vibing (imagine if like. A dark souls character was transported into animal crossing)

Idk if i'll ever actually do anything with the concept :P but it makes me laugh

Sorry for being so inactive w posting art. My mental health has been rlly bad for the past few months, and it's hard to have any energy or motivation after I come home from work. I'd love to start drawing again. I'm working on a fully rendered piece rn of Dustin and Dorian, it's just taking a while to finish.

I got rlly into Fields of Mistria, I'd love to draw my farmer and my favorite characters. (Ryis I luv u 😘) Actually I've been playing a lot of games that I may or may not draw fanart for. I'm not sure how much athf art I'll make going forward either, there's a lot of new things I'm into, but I do miss my girl Jersey and Avarice. I miss them a lot actually.

Anyways, hoping this year I can get my shit together and things get better!
