spent my whole shower trying to sort out my feelings about ootd lol.

relistening to the ep rn and feeling very reassured that even if ootd isn’t my fav title track they still know how to make bangers—shatter and rising are the typical high quality bsides that i am very into

#might make another post for my thoughts on ootd #rest assured i do like it just not as much as usual title tracks #i think what bothers me at an essential level is that it doesn’t have the element that other title tracks have:#that being the ‘who else could pull this off?’ factor #and while the members add their own flair to it #it is worth acknowledging that this song sounds like something other groups could and would do #this might just be bc i’m a dami bias but she is doing some heavy lifting in that regard #idk if there are other rappers in currently active girl groups who could have pulled off her verse this time around #so that makes me happy lol #like maybe ryujin (MAYBE) could get some relaxed deep voice charisma on it but idk dami delivered #and then again itzy would not release ootd i don’t think it’s too dark sounding for them #like literally dim not enough pops of color for itzy #gonna stop here before i write that whole other post in the tags #dreamcatcher #o
