You and Charles were back at the cabin you were staying at for the weekend. Charles was talking on the phone with his brothers and his mom getting their congratulations even though you made sure your immediate family members knew before you both decided to post on social media. 

You were sitting by the fireplace, curled up with a hot cocoa wearing one of Charles’ sweatshirts, admiring the ring on your finger, you still couldn’t believe you were marrying the love of your life. It felt like a dream, one you never wanted to wake up from. 

“What are you thinking about mon amour?” Charles asked coming into the living area off of the phone. He sat beside you, wrapping an arm around you, pulling you closer to him 

“Just this” you told him referring to the ring he gave you a few hours prior “Cant believe I’m going to be your wife” you smiled, looking at him 

“I’d marry you right now if it was an option” He told you returning the same, lovesick smile you were giving him.

“I think our mothers would have heart attacks if we eloped” You joked, knowing your mother was already in wedding mode even if it had only been a few hours “I know” he chuckled, agreeing with you 

“Seriously though I’m so lucky” You said giving him a kiss on the cheek 

“I’m the lucky one” Charles told you, kissing your head as you laid it on his shoulder “You’re my everything”.

You couldn’t see him but you could hear his smile and you wore a very similar one on your own face.

This was your forever and you couldn’t be happier.

„Come ooooon, we gonna be late,“ you heard from downstairs. 

Sighing you looked at yourself in the mirror. You still did not understand how you let yourself talk into going to this halloween costume party. 

You… weren’t a fan of parties.

Being the introvert of your friend group, you were happy just staying home and watching a movie. Or… binge a whole series on Netflix. 

You had a busy job, so you were glad when you were home and got to relax. Of course being home nowadays came also to be a little bittersweet. 

Frankie had been gone for almost nine months and you missed him every single day.

Thankfully this would be his last time on deployment and you were counting the days until he would be home just in time for Thanksgiving. But Thanksgiving still was weeks away and you hadn’t been able to talk to him in the last three weeks with him being on a mission. 

So maybe the reason why you agreed to go to this party was to get you to think about anything else than your husband being away for one evening.

Taking one last look at the mirror to check your outfit, the stewardess costume being a little tighter than it had been the night you had met Frankie almost six years ago, you gave yourself a small smile. 

He had been dressed as a pilot, and you had been a stewardess. Your friends were teasing the two of you to this day that you ending up together had been written in the stars from the moment you met.

Just a couple more weeks until he would be home.

It was a friend of your friends friend that was hosting this party. 

You had gotten here almost an hour ago and were on your second drink. The music was blasting and you were talking to a woman in a very impressive Mandalorian costume when you felt like someone was watching you. 

Looking over your shoulder you couldn’t pinpoint If someone was actually watching you, with the amount of people in the room. Letting your gaze wander through the room your eyes lingered on a tall person wearing a ghostface mask leaning against the wall on the other side of the room, a beer in their hands. 

Your lips twitched into a small smile when you saw someone dressed in a full Luigi costume fist bump into their shoulder before you turned back to the Mandalorian in front of you.

„This might be super forward but… do you think we could go out for dinner sometime?“ The Mandalorian lady, Tess, asked you. You couldn’t hide the surprise at hearing this question, giving her a small smile.

„I’m sorry. I’m already taken. I feel very flattered though. Never had a Mandalorian hit on me,“ you smiled at her and she sighed with a wistful smile. 

„Should have known. Where is your….?“ 

„Husband. My husband. He’s currently on deployment. I am counting the days until he gets back,“ you said, taking a sip from your drink.

„Let’s just say I am glad when he’s back for good. The last six years were a challenge with him being away so often. But he’s… he’s the love of my life,“ you shrugged with a dreamy smile.

„Oh ugh are you talking about Frankie again?“ Your friend teased you while she put an arm around your waist. 

„Stop bullying me,“ you playfully slapped her arm, making her laugh. 

„Nah. Frankie is okay. I’m fully prepared to not see you for weeks once he’s back,“ she wiggled her eyebrows and you rolled your eyes. 

She wasn’t wrong though. The last time Frankie had been on leave you barely had left the house for the first two weeks.

„Anyway. Let’s stop moping about my husband and maybe…. Dance?“ You looked at your friend whose eyes lit up. 

„Yes please. The guy I just flirted with was gay. I was blinded by the firemen costume. I need to dance these awkward feelings away,“ she awkwardly laughed, before she pulled you to the dance floor. 

You felt like someone was watching you again. I mean there were a couple people watching you probably. You were trying your best impression of the Wednesday dance from the Netflix series, you and your friend laughing almost maniacally while doing it. 

„I’m gonna get another drink, you want one?“ Your friend yelled and you nodded. The song changed to a Prince song and you continued to dance, enjoying yourself. It took you a moment to realise there was someone behind you. Slowly turning around there they were. Mysterious ghostface mask, dancing with someone dressed as Mario and you wondered if Luigi, Mario and ghostface knew each other. You gave them a smile before you turned away, continuing to dance.

Once your friend got there to get you your drink, she said that she’ll go to the bathroom. Nodding you told her you’d wait outside for her, needing a bit of fresh air. 

This was how you found yourself sitting outside, the music still blasting. 

You had a drink and a hot dog.

And you were a little tipsy. 

Smiling to yourself you bit into your food when you heard the door open. Looking over your shoulder you saw ghostface mask stepping on the porch. 

„You know I never saw Scream?,“ you said before you turned away from them, continuing to eat. 

„I actually don’t like horror movies at all. I’m getting scared way to easily, my husband thinks it’s hilarious,“ you hummed. When the person didn’t say anything you turned around again, your eyes widening when the familiar brown eyes of your husband were staring back at you. He was smiling sheepishly at you, the ghostface mask still in one of his hands. 

The hotdog fell to the ground as you jumped up from were you were sitting. 

„Frankie?“ You whispered with wide eyes. 

„Hi baby,“ he grinned.

„Am I hallucinating?“ You asked and he chuckled, shaking his head. 

„I’m back baby. For good,“ he said and before you could stop yourself you were walking over to him, falling into his arms that wrapped around you, pulling you closer. You took a deep breath, just inhaling his scent that you missed so much.

„Have you been watching me?“ You asked, resting your chin against his chest, looking up at him. He leaned down, kissing your nose.

„Since you got here. Will and Ben are here too. They’re in the Mario and Luigi costumes,“ he grinned and you chuckled. 

„I missed you,“ you whispered and he finally leaned down to kiss you softly. You brushed one of your hands through his hair, deepening the kiss. He hummed against your lips, one of his hands on the back of your neck to get you even closer. 

„Woah,“ you heard behind you and you parted from Frankie’s lips, looking behind him to find your friend grinning at you. 

„You’re welcome,“ they winked. 

„You knew?“ You asked surprised. 

„Of course I knew. Now you can stop mopping about him coming home,“ they winked. 

„You really missed me, huh?“ Frankie teased and you hid against his chest.

„We had six days after we got married before you had to leave. Of course I missed you,“ you said and he kissed your forehead. 

„You wanna stay or you wanna get home?“ He asked, voice low. 

„Home. Definitely home,“ you said quickly and he winked.

„Uhm we are going home. Is that okay? I feel bad because we got here together and…“ your friend stopped you. 

„Please. I’ll get Mario or Luigi to take me home, don’t worry,“ they grinned and you laughed. 

„Okay,“ you reluctantly got out of Frankie’s arms to go over and hug them. 

„Thank you,“ you whispered and they just squeezed your tighter.

„Get out of here,“ they chuckled and you walked back to Frankie, taking his hand. 

You were waiting for an uber outside when you noticed him still holding the ghost face mask, about to throw it in the trash. 

„Uh…. You should keep that,“ you said quickly and he turned to you, narrowing his eyes. You sucked your bottom lip between your teeth as you looked up at him and his eyes darkened. 

He put the mask into the back of his jeans before he pulled you back into his arms. 

„Kinky,“ he whispered against your lips before he kissed you again. 

„You love it,“ you mumbled. 

„I really fucking do,“ he grinned and kissed you again.

I don’t think that these are all, but I’m gonna make a second post about any further headcanons I have. Also, i apologize for not including everyone here, ill make sure to include them next time. I hope you enjoy, and if you do, please tell me about it! Don’t be afraid to send me requests either, I’d love to write most anything (I’m uncreative sometimes)! Kokonoi who is genuinely so bothered by bugs you won’t believe it. He has to leave the room as soon as he sees the „threat“, and fast.

Izana who curses loudly on Filipino whenever he accidentally hurts himself. You can hear him shout from across the whole house when he bumps himself on a corner.

Chifiyu who has a passion for graffiti. He loves tagging and wild styling and spraying elaborate throwup-styles on walls on Toman turf.

Inui who is colorblind, which is really unfortunate because he has an interest in fashion and styles. He relies on Koko for the greater part, but has recently discovered apps that identify color, which has vastly improved his personal style and allowed him to take on more challenging shades.

The Katawa twins who have an honestly really impressive Pokémon card collection and often play against each other to pass time. The amount they have spent on it is sorta concerning and more often than not stop by the little magazine store to buy another pack to "improve their decks" before gang meetings.

Hakkai who has a distinct dislike for the color orange but keeps finding himself surrounded it. He hates it but the walls in his room are orange. He could puke because his favorite faux-fur-coat is a darker orange. There’s no reasoner doesn’t like the color but something about it makes his skin crawl.

Hanma who is German/Russian and makes sure everyone knows it. He is proud of his heritage and will often use German and Russian idioms when conversating. It’s all fun and games till he starts swearing in his mother tongues during fights, bashing in his opponent’s skulls whilst cursing in a foreign, very aggressive manner.

Nahoya and Souya who work like devils in the kitchen. It’s a perfect tandem in between them, they somehow always know what the other wants and needs. If Nahoya needs a hand in opening the oven, Souya’s doing a 360 no look opening. If Souya’s hands are messy from kneading the dough, Nahoya automatically turns on the tap for hand washing. Twin telepathy is real and they’re the number one proof.

Mucho who can’t do shit in terms of math. You need him busy? Ask him for 7x9 and he’ll be unresponsive for the next 3-5 minutes. It’s really frustrating to him because he genuinely puts in so much effort to understand the formulas, but the numbers simply don’t click in his brain.

Smiley who got the smiley piercing the moment he found out about it. It’s really impressively healed and works so well on his face. Some even say that his smile has gotten wider ever since he got it. He also has a poorly healed nose stud on the left side that he only keeps in for sentimental value. He got it in the seventh grade during school and he got his ass whooped when he came back home with it.

Kisaki who unintentionally practices calligraphy because he writes exclusively in cursive. All of his notebooks look fake because all the letters look identical and everything is evenly spaced. The highlighter girlies in his classes wish death upon him on a daily.

Rindou who’s cracked at Chemistry for no reason. He doesn’t even have to try, it’s like the formulas unfold in front of him and the laws and rules just make sense. He can’t even explain it but ask him anything, and I mean anything he can give you the right answer. Just don’t ask him to be your lab partner. He has a nasty history of breaking test tubes.

Kakucho who knows how to dress. Like really know how to dress. Anywhere, anytime he’s looking like a Pinterest board. He doesn’t really try or occupy himself with things fashion, but he just looks so good and coordinated all the time. He thought it was natural to know what looks good or not, so he’s sometimes a bit perplexed by the things that his peers wear. He tries to be nice when he tells them it doesn’t work, but comes across a little brash because it frustrates him.

Kazutora who has unnaturally sharp canines. Like, it’s kinda scary sometimes because they poke out of his mouth even when it’s closed. He’ll commonly run his tongue over them when he’s bored, poking and prodding at them to check if they’re still sharp. It’s one of the features of his face he really does like.

Mitsuya who gossips like a Girl. He lives for drama and tea (silently) and due to his club being occupied by mostly girls, he’s surrounded by it constantly. The girls talk and talk and talk and he eats it up. The scary part is that he remembers nearly every part of it, so he knows so much. He’ll never share it with anyone but likes to know what’s happening. Sometimes he even correctly predicts scandals due to background knowledge.

Leading from the last one, Mitsuya who has a deep voice. One that rumbles softly when he speaks and sounds like the ocean when he laughs. It’s a killer during after-noon classes when he has to present or read something cause it has such a calming effect. He’s put multiple of his classmates asleep accidentally.

Draken who know just the tiniest bit about sowing from helping out in Mistuya’s workshop. He knows how to close a seam, he knows how to sew a button and he knows how to patch a hole and that’s it. He’s lowkey proud of it though.

and this fic was tagged 100% correctly like it was very explicitly tagged as smut n stuff yet there were still a bunch of comments being like “uhm what did i just read 🤨” and when i made a comment defending the authors right to yk, not be harassed for making not even rlly problematic content someone who clearly would suffer withdrawal symptoms if they turned twitter off for too long started arguing with me abt how “erm ackhtually we should be allowed to comment harassment under ppls harmless and explicitly tagged fics cause theres no smut in this fandom and it shocked us” and u could just rlly tell they felt they were more righteous than God in their opinions and yeah so cut to tonight when i’m scrolling through the tag and i see a post titled “i’m so sorry” in which the author made a post basically being like “i’m so sorry for posting that ik it was disgusting it has been permanently deleted” which in the comments a few ppl were telling them that what happened sucked n stuff (myself included // judging by their reply they only did this to stop the harassment which yk, completely fair) and i went back to scrolling since i wanted an actual fic not fandom drama but like 2 posts down there was another post titled “please stop” or smthn like that where someone else made a post basically being like “guyssss can we please not write smut of these characters this fandom is so wholesome i dont wanna ruin it 🥺 anyways sorry this isnt a fic this just needed to be said lol” and like dude, my guy, WHAT THE FUCK?!

They just stare at you in awe. One of them speaks up.

“S—so you’re telling me. We took you somewhere you hate and you bagged a baddie like her for being a complete pussy…?!?!” One of your friends said and the others just nodded in agreement.

“Well I mean— yeah I guess that’s what happened.” You then scratch the back of your neck and your friends just chuckle and giggle.

“Woah you’ve really outdone yourself this time…”

You and your friends continue talking about Ellie for a few moments until she texts you telling you she’s outside.

“Ah! She’s here, I’ll see you guys later. She told me she was gonna give me a tour of some of the stuff. Well, wish me luck, 'cause it’s basically a date..!”

Your friends wave goodbye and you head outside. You and Ellie had been friends for about 4 weeks before you two started dating and now it had been about 2 since you guys began dating. Everything has been good so far, and you two just clicked. Ellie was so passionate about everything she liked, just like you. She didn’t judge you either, not for music taste, fashion sense, or anything. You had decided to wear a cute outfit for her. Cute bottoms and a nice top.. you even picked out this shirt because it was her favorite color.

You step into her beaten-down truck. She told you that this truck used to be her old man’s and that he and her liked to fix it up together.

“Hey beautiful,” Ellie says as she kisses your cheek, she was always such a gentlewoman. “You look good… very cute.”

“You think? I wanted to look cute for you..” you said with a tiny smile appearing. Ellie always knew how to give you butterflies.

“I know so, nowwww… let’s get a move on hm?” Ellie then starts up her old rustic truck and you guys drive to her work.

“Sooo Ellie, how does this work? You just gonna sneak me in the back?” You chuckle and she rolls her eyes.

“No baby girl, I don’t have work till 6. I just have some employee bonuses, you know since I’m the manager.” Ellie laughs and you guys pull into a parking structure special to employees.

“Wow. I’ve never been over here!”

“Well of course you haven’t dumbass.” You scoff at Ellie and you guys get out of her truck.

Ellie takes you in and you guys scan the tickets she has from working here.

“Soooo where to first?” You ask her holding her hand.

“I’ll show you some cool stuff from my Job.”

Throughout the first few hours, Ellie takes you around through back ways and helps you understand ways to get to certain rides within good time. She then stops with the whole tour and wants you guys to enjoy the day.

“Okay, so what ride do you wanna ride?” Ellie says holding your hand as you guys walk on the upper lot.

“Well, I don’t think I’ll be able to ride this ride here..” you tell her with a sly grin and, Ellie turns to look at you looking confused.

“What is it, not a ride that’s from this amusement park?” She laughs and is still oblivious to the dirty joke you told her.

“Ellie I meant— never mind…” you roll your eyes and the joke finally clicks in her head.

“Oh— oh! You meant.. ah— good one…” Her face flushes and she feels the heat in her face rise.

You then begin laughing at her and she feels like an idiot. You couldn’t help but smile at her embarrassed look.. the way she laughs and her face brightens up… it just makes you want more and more of that look. You guys begin to walk over to the Harry Potter section. Ellie told you that was her favorite..

“Jeez, it’s cold…” you mutter out, arms wrapped around yourself to keep you warm.

“Oh, you’re cold? Here..” Ellie then begins removing her zip up revealing a cute sweater. “I don’t get cold easily, I just like wearing jackets.” She then puts the jacket on your shoulders and you slide into it.

“Thanks, elles… you’re so sweet…” you then lean over and kiss her cheek, having her face brighten up.

“Ah, it’s nothing— just taking care of my girl…!”

Her girl? She’s such a dork… You guys walk over to one of the street sells men and get 2 butterbeers.

“Mmm, I love these! They were always my favorite as a kid…” You smile at Ellie and she chuckles.

“Yeah, you told me you used to come here often as a kid right? Well, I’m glad I can bring back the nostalgia for a good price! Gotta love employee perks huh?” She shoves you a little with her body and you roll your eyes.

Ellie and you go on with your date until it’s time for her to get ready. She takes you to the place in the back where she usually gets ready for horror nights.

“Sooooo, what look are you gonna do tonight?” You ask sitting on a chair near her.

“Uhh, probably just the normal one why?”

“I don’t know I wanted to see if you were gonna mix it up..” Ellie then turns to look at you and chuckles.

“Well we don’t usually mix it up, plus I’m not good at makeup so I usually just keep it plain Jane.”

You nod and watch Ellie get into her ‘costume’ which was really just pants, a tank top, messy hair, (which she didn’t need to do anyways…) blood, and fake cuts. While she was doing the makeup you just sat there on your phone. You don’t even realize that Ellie is picking out props and stuff. Once you look up you realize how.. how hot she looks like this?! I mean yeah you’ve seen her in ‘costume’ like 2 times, but never when she was your girlfriend. And damn were you glad this woman was.

“Uhh hey, you gotta a little drool there.” Ellie jokes as she realizes you’ve been staring at her maybe a bit too long.

“Oh uh heh— yeah…”

“Hey so I forgot to ask, what are you doing for Halloween?” Ellie asks as she continues looking through the props. The question almost goes completely over your head due to how you were eyeing her.

“Uhh I don’t know, usually ever since I started college I’d just go to my parents and pass candy with them.”

“…really..? God you’re a loser.” She laughs and shakes her head as she grabs a fake axe from her prop box. “Hmm yeah it feels like an axe night tonight—“

“I am not a loser! But why did you wanna know if I was free?” You then stand up and flick her forehead.

“Ow! Hey! Uh— I wanted to know cuz my friends are having a party that night.” Ellie rubs where you flicked and shoves you.

You end up shoving her back and she shoves you onto a couch in the corner of the room.

“Uh—“ you freeze looking at her. “Y—you said a party…” you try and distract her from the odd position you two are in.

“Y—yeah.. Dina and Jesse are gonna host it..” Ellie swallows and clears her throat.

“Y—yeah I’ll go… Well, what are you gonna wear?”

“Not sure… probably gonna be a werewolf.” She then adjusts herself on top of you.

Ellie was straddling your lap and you were sitting back on the couch, in the makeup room. You and Ellie haven’t been this close yet… it was new. You didn’t want her to get up though… she looked so pretty on you. Like a goddess that was made just for you.. how did you get this lucky?

“Maybe you should just go like this..” your hands travel up her sides, sending shivers down her body and the blood to her cheeks.

“You mean in my work attire? Yeah no thanks.”

“Aww, but you look so sexy…”

“Sexy?!? Do you have like weird attractions I should be worried about?” Ellie tries to hide her blush through a laugh.

“Oh haha. I’m sorry you just look good… your shift doesn’t start for another 20 minutes.. how about we have some fun?” You then lean closer to her lips and she leans down a little bit.

“Guess we do have time to kill..” Ellie replies as she leans down to your face kissing you passionately.

You groan into the kiss, your tongues dancing together. Ellie’s hips begin grinding into yours. Her hands grip your waist and travel under your shirt and they stop at your bra.

“Is this okay..?” She asks before her hands go under.

You nod as a reply, and she instantly moves her hands under groping your boobs and toying with your nipples. Pulling and pinching them between her thumb and index fingers.

“Fuck.” You moan out as you nibble her neck. Not caring if you leave hickeys for everyone to see.

A few more moments of this goes on until Ellie’s phone rings.

“Shit hold on babe.” She then removes her hands and picks up her phone as you pull your lips away from her, resting your hands on her hips. “Yeah? … ugh okay … be out in a sec, okay bye. It’s Jesse.”

“Let me guess gotta go?”

“Yeah, but hey. You can wait in here for me? Just don’t play without me.” She winks and you feel your face heat up.

“Whatever idiot.” You say with a laugh.

Ellie pulls herself off of you and she kisses your forehead. As she leaves the room your mind begins to wander. God you felt as if you were already falling in love with her. And damn were you looking forward to that Halloween party now.

What attracts you to Imotohan? Idk if I get it yet….

Today is not that day; instead, you get a collection of references to other posts that I found when I couldn't sleep last night.

Reason Number 1: I really like enemies to lovers as a trope.

I always have, ever since I started reading fanfic way back in the day with Kim/Shego lol. But I especially love when two characters allow me to totally buck the more traditional power dynamics of one party having all the power while the other has none, which I find boring and not at all fun to explore.

At first glance, Otohan does have the upper hand a lot of the time in their dynamic (I mean, hell, they start out by slaughtering half of Imogen's friends and the love of her life). But it’s pretty easy (and very fun) to give Imogen opportunities to be on equal footing with Otohan or even surpass them entirely. And the Tension that comes with exploring two characters who hate each other but can’t help but be attracted to each other is just what I find the most interesting and fun to explore in my own writing in particular.

Reason Number 2: They’re obsessed with each other.

To the point that the cast themself see it and take advantage of it in-game (see here, when Sam pulled 'the one you're so keen to meet with' out of his ass, assumedly failed a deception check, and yet Otohan still either humored them or just zeroed in on 'Imogen? Where's Imogen? Tell me where Imogen is' anyway like a fucking simp.)

Otohan in particular also displays a frankly terrifying amount of ‘care’ and effort in getting Imogen to exalt in the battle at Bassuras, which I talk more about here. It’s what kicked off my intrigue with this ship and got me to try my hand and writing them (and then never stopped, as you can see).

Imogen, for her part, is just understandably terrified of but also constantly infuriated with Otohan (shitpost that shows that well). She says Otohan’s name with such vitriol and I adore her for it. Very ‘I’m gonna punch you in the mouth with my own mouth’ energy.

Reason Number 3: They push each other’s buttons really damn well.

Arguably the most important thing in a ship for me after Tension.

We saw Otohan lose their patience exactly once, in my opinion, during the final battle when they called Imogen a ‘bitch,’ and as I said in this post, I think Imogen deserved so many more opportunities to rile Otohan up like that, especially in actual conversation as opposed to combat. She’s just so good at it, by golly, and if I can't see it in canon I can at least write about it.

And I mean, Otohan got Imogen to exalt (the only time she has done so, to my knowledge) and blow up a whole city block; I think it's safe to say they can get under her skin if they work at it, and I wish they had even more horrible opportunities to do so in canon before they kicked the bucket.

Anyways, that's the gist of what attracts me to Imotohan. If you don't get it, then the ship might just not be for you, which is totally fine—to each their own! Thanks for giving me an excuse to yap about themb~

Sinsmas theories part 3

yay writing this at 11pm is fun and was such a good and fun idea :)

anyway here are my stoliz theories and MnM (moxxie and millie) theories

starting off strong with MnM

a theory i saw from someone else idk who but basically it involves crimson (moxxie's dad). the whole theory is that crimson will find out about millie's pregnancy and want to bring her and moxxie back into the family. which would be a huge and annoying deal. and now thinking about it that could possibly be the way moxxie finds out. crimson wants moxxie dead based off of the end of season 2 episode 3 Exs and Ohs and has likely been using his goons to spy on IMP and MnM so he could find out and then ask MnM to rejoin the family bc of millie being with child and then moxxie could find out from that. if that doesnt happen moxxie could find out other ways and i see him reacting a few ways - A. he cant wait to be a father and is just so happy B. he's terrified of being a father cause he doesnt want to end up being the father his father was C. a mix of both, excited and terrified of messing up or D. something else. in some other post if i remember i'll talk about the reactions of blitz, loona, and stolas. (yay i have 15 mins to do everything else). since i have 15 mins im just going to redirect you guys to cartoon universe's video on what MnM having a baby may be like and how it'll effect/affect (idk which is right) the show and everything. and in the same post about the rest of IMP's reactions i'll talk about the possible struggles and all if i remember. thats all for MnM's section srry for cutting it short.

their dynamic and changed forever thanks to sinsmas and the fact season 2 was made to finish off basically all of the stoliz arch so that seasons 3 and 4 could focus on other things mostly. they obviously have some growing to do but they are at a healthy place - which their hug shows or blitz's hug shows. stolas doesnt hug him back bc he isnt ready to do that and blitz is ok with that. he's just glad to have stolas even thou he fucked up bc stolas had to give up everything for him. he sees that and he is ok bc he knows stolas needs time to process and get through things. (7 mins :) yay great) all i know for the future seasons is that we'll be seeing stoliz grow more slowly bc the focus will be on others and that they'll be very domestic. one final thing i wanted to point out is i saw someone else on here say that there may be a custody battle for octavia and that octavia wont want to be with either of her parents and blitz will step in instead i mean - he did adopt loona right before she turned 18 and that didnt stop him.

With Blades 2 coming to an end, I just wanna get it off my chest that I'm really not a fan of how they wrote Nia for a great part of this one, particularly vis-à-vis the way they wrote MC. I know I've been saying some stuff along those lines for ages now, but it hasn't left my mind so now I'm gonna actually get into it.

For starters, I think a lot of the issue with Nia's writing was captured pretty well in the tags of this post, particularly on point 2. Like I've said, Nia unfortunately falls into the category of a Mary Sue in that every "flaw" she's given just serves to elevate her to perfection. Hell, even when corrupted—when a person is supposed to be in their most volatile state—the worst she does is be snarky that first chapter (she is aggressive toward MC at one point before this, but it's neither acknowledged nor repeated later). After that, she is entirely normal, just not as much of a pushover, and while I much preferred shadow!Nia, I do think that this really undermines the whole gravity of corruption and b2's emphasis on shadow-light balance, since shadow!Nia comes off as quite balanced already, especially compared to other corrupted characters we've seen.

But here's the thing, that post that got me thinking is months old, and we have gotten more story since then, and what I have noticed is that Nia does, in fact, have one real flaw in canon, but it's the one flaw she's absolutely not meant to have: Nia in canon can at times come off as self-absorbed. She either makes things about herself or doesn't stop people from doing this, and there are multiple examples of it. There is the instance in Riverbend when MC is taking a moment to finally try to process Kade's capture (which, following their own capture, they never got the chance to process) and Nia derails the conversation and makes it about her own grief and is comforted by MC and Mal. Another example is the moment on Gerhard's ship when she vents about the pressure she's been under and lets MC comfort her without at any point considering that MC might have been under similar pressure.

And don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a character putting themselves first. But when the book doesn't waste a single chance to tell us that Nia's character is the complete opposite and that she is chronically incapable of not being considerate 25/8, it's quite contradictory. I mean, you can even call out Ethan Ramsey, PB's golden boy, on making things about himself at some point in OH, but because, unlike Ethan, Nia is written for you to consider her super sweet and wholesome and perfect, the Blades MC actually contributes to this by performing mental gymnastics to turn something around to be about Nia.

Which brings me to my final point: Blades 2 pushed MC to the side to revolve around Nia, but MC is exactly the person they meant for Nia to be, by virtue of the dissonance between showing and telling. They tell you that Nia is selfless because she always puts everyone else first. Well, I can and did name examples showing the contrary, meanwhile, MC is the one who was been through the most traumatic ordeal and is constantly checking in on everyone else without expecting and without receiving much of the same courtesy in return, even apologizing to Nia because she was "carrying all that weight on her own", never mind that MC always has the weight of the world on their shoulders. They tell you that Nia is the heart of the party, but they both told and showed us that everything fell apart without MC.

Even some of Nia's most defining character traits, MC has in similar measure. Nia sees the best in everyone? MC can be the #1 believer in Aerin's redemption after all the shit he pulled. Nia is trusting to the point of naivete? MC literally trusted Valax while she outright told them at every turn she would turn on them at the first opportunity, and was genuinely hurt by the betrayal. Miss me with MC calling Nia "our better self".

Every trait that they've gone out of their way to tell you Nia has they've shown twofold in MC, which is why it's so exasperating to me that they reduced MC to the conduct through which other characters' (particularly Nia's) stories get told while their own is an afterthought. I am by no means saying that two people can't have similar traits or that two people can't be good people at the same time, but there is something about praising these traits in Nia when, based on these, MC should be held to a similar standard. Instead, they relegated MC (main. character.) to a supporting character in Nia's story, elevating every trait that MC possesses only in Nia while ignoring them in MC to the point that many scenes felt frustrating to play.

you felt used and broken. the guy you had been talking to for the last month, the one you felt attached to, had cheated on you and taken advantage of your kindness. you had agreed to go out on a date, but he never showed up, and then he texted you saying that he had dozens of people like you and that he didn't want to hang out with you.

you didn't go home, your feet led you to josh's house. you've known each other since you were kids, he's seen you grow up and supported you every step of the way, so his house, him and even his parents were a safe haven for you. josh was very worried when he heard about your date, so when he heard the knock on the door he knew everything.

"damn it, come here." - josh said as he opened the door and saw you with tears in your eyes. his soft arms wrapped around you, pulling your body into the house and whispering in your ear.

he was always there for you. you listened to his monologues about the games, often staying at sleepovers and attending family dinners. he was always in awe of you and worried, so when you told him about the new boys you met, his heart ached. he was afraid that they would hurt you, that your heart would never be the same again. josh worried that you would stop trusting others.

sitting you down on the couch, he put his arm around your shoulders. "tell me what happened." - and he listened intently to your whole story about how this guy had tricked you, lied to you and used you. josh's soft, slightly sweaty palms squeezed your shoulders and his cheek pressed against your hair.

"fuck, I hate him. look, I get that you want a relationship, but like... they're all bastards. they're not worthy of you, when are you gonna realize that?" - you understood him, you understood why he was angry, but you continued to hang out with these guys anyway, not noticing that it was in Josh's arms that you felt most comfortable.

"i'm sorry. i don't know. they're the only ones that make me feel needed." - that was the first thing out of your mouth when you realized your situation. you were hugged by josh, who was always there for you, his family loved you, and you were attached to some asshole who said things like "pretty face" or "pretty body" to you.

"just listen to me." - his face turned serious, and you could see the pure worry in his once cheerful eyes. "like, I need you, okay? without you, I'm nothing, really. with or without makeup, with a cheerful mood or a sad one like this, I need you." - the words flew from Josh's lips, and he didn't even realize what he was saying. "...you're the coolest person on this planet. like...I don't know, you're like a computer to me. well...I can't be without you."

you listened to his words, coming straight from your heart, and you realized you've been doing something wrong your whole life. all the time you had Josh in front of you, and you paid attention to others. he was really always there for you, always supporting you, writing stupid comments under your posts and commenting on your photos. you took it for granted. and now you realized it all.

You stared at him like a deer in the headlights of a car as he leaned in and left a soft kiss on your cheek. his unshaven cheek tickled your skin and goosebumps ran through your body. it felt so right. you wanted more. sure, you'd kissed before josh, dirty, slutty, and sometimes tender, but it never felt like this.

"josh.." - his name flew off your lips like some kind of prayer as he was now looking at you like a deer, realizing what he had done.

"sorry. but i couldn't. i like you too much and i can't let this go. god i have to kick those assholes..." - when he brought up all your exes, josh's nose twitched slightly and his eyebrows drew together at the bridge of his nose. it was a moment from a movie or tv show, you felt like it wasn't happening to you. it was as if your whole life you had overlooked the love and happiness that had always been there for you. that love was always talking about games and being allergic to nuts. that love texted you stupid messages after work and gave you the best hug of all. that love was josh. josh futturman.

your hands gripped his shoulders as you reached up for a kiss. he ahhed and opened his eyes, but gave in to you. you immediately found the perfect balance and harmony, he breathed heavily through his nose, kissing you like it was some kind of competition. you could feel his inept movements. josh had a girlfriend once, but they broke up quickly, and it was a long time ago, so he had definitely lost that skill.

you exhaled heavily and pulled away from him, placing your hands on his cheeks and looking into his disbelieving eyes.

"...I'm sorry, I was being infantile." - your fingers stroked his rough cheek while he still couldn't believe what was happening. "...you've always been there for me. like...thank you. let's try something more than just being friends...?" - you realized where this could lead, but you knew that the best relationships come from strong friendships.

"are you serious?" - josh really didn't believe what you were saying. But you were serious. His disbelieving puppy dog eyes stared into yours. He looked like a deer.

"Yes. Seriously. please, josh. You're the closest person to me. You understand me better than anyone else, even better than I do, and damn..." - you leaned in again and left your soft kiss on his lips. he pulled you to him and hugged you tightly, afraid it wasn't true.

"wow, yeah, yeah, sure...I don't mind...you know, we'll go on a date to that cafe, and the amusement park..." - he started babbling incoherently about your future, stroking your back. "...I promise I'll be on my best behavior. if you suddenly don't like something, just say so...I'm shocked."

"okay, just, uh, thanks for being there for me." - your fingers gently brushed his unruly bangs. you both didn't fully understand what had happened. you'd never had any strong feelings for josh, but maybe it was worth pushing your boundaries just a little bit to give you butterflies in your stomach and a sense of security. you'd be happy now.

you open instagram and see a new post from josh. the picture was of the two of you and cotton candy and another picture of you kissing him on the cheek. a warm feeling appeared in your chest as the feeling of not being hidden and ready to be shown on instagram filled your chest. you looked at the caption of the pictures and chuckled, josh was so silly.

"at the amusement park with my sweetie. my sweetie wasn't even scared, I'm proud of this behavior. xxx" your reply didn't take long and you quickly typed: "yeah, you didn't even pee your pants, proud of you."

ok i've decided i want to infodump about vee and nova a little after all! because uhh not only am i impatient because autism but i also. want to dip my toes into talking about this. just days ago i was still terrified but now i am Tentatively Brave... if i can talk about it here casually like this then i should be able to write a more formal summary later some other time

takes a deep breath alright so the deal with these two. back all the way in 2021, i decided i wanted to make "vent ocs" as in i just wanted some concrete/consistent designs i could use in vent art drawings that weren't a direct reflection of what i envision myself to look like or whatever. i was going through a lot in 2021, in december 2020 i had just gotten my first big repressed memory back and my life was in a whirlwind of change and heavily increased PTSD and DID symptoms, so i was using art a lot as an outlet. in the end i settled on this drawing, based on the design taste i would have had as a young person (god the quality is so old now LOL i've improved a lot but anyway)

i was intending for these two to be just visual designs and nothing more than that but i got attached and actually ended up giving them a whole storyline and everything, which is something i admittedly hadn't done in a long time up to that point so that's cool.

the reason i preface explaining the premise of the storyline with this is because i think it's important to acknowledge that these two are intrinsically tied with my real life and the feelings i experience as a CSA/OA survivor. not because i think someone has to go through awful things to write or draw about them necessarily, but because i am passionate about expressing myself. it's important for me to be seen in some way, to be heard after years of silence. it is not safe for me mentally to share the exact details of my abuse online rn (and please don't ask for them!) but i also don't want these two to be removed from the message that i survived something and this is me making art about that in an abstracted and magical way with a fictional universe that brings me a lot of comfort. i hope this makes sense lol

oh and also with that in mind if you think for even a second any of this is a weird sex thing for me or some shit please stop reading this post and go do something else with your time. this is my trauma expression and i don't need to be compared to the people i was abused by when i was a literal toddler thank you!

AANYWAY so! premise! gonna be point blank with it! vee (not her original name but shh) is born as a normal 100% human girl, aka without the eevee ears and tail. she is groomed from a very young age (like, toddler age) and eventually abducted by her groomers which happen to be members of... well right now it's team rocket because i haven't spent the time to worldbuild a new villainous pokemon organization yet. roll with me here. she is taken to a remote facility out in the middle of fucking nowhere and is never returned to her previous life or family.

Why? well i'm glad you asked! the org is running a bunch of different experiments in this facility and one of them happens to be trying to enable humans reproducing with pokemon. this doubles as both a money thing and a power thing. they seek out a child as the victim of these horrible experiments because children are easily malleable. way easier to control a child than an adult who already has a firm identity/self.

vee is the child they chose. surgery is forcibly done on her to give her working eevee ears and tail, and also like, fuck with her body chemistry and stuff. she's biologically part eevee now. yes this is bullshit pokemon magic science LMAO but she is kept in this facility and chronically sexually abused for a few years by pairing her with various mons and trying to get eggs to happen.

the experiment isn't working though so they hypothesize that giving her a dedicated partner, especially of the same evolutionary line, would help, and they raise nova from birth as an eevee to take on that role. eventually the two of them are paired together. despite the acts they are forced to commit on each other and the abuse they endure, they actually become inseparable very quickly cause like. they don't have anyone else. and also they just genuinely care about each other. additionally at this point nova has evolved into an espeon and has telepathic powers, so him and vee can communicate linguistically with each other, so you know that helps

generally my current focus of this story is in the early years, when vee is 12 and younger, before they start realizing that shit is fucked up and they need to escape (up until that hypothetical point they have been successfully groomed into believing everything happening to them was not abuse/was normal). i have left out a metric fuckton of detail here just to get across the basic premise. i am constantly exploring vee's psyche, nova's psyche, it's like an in depth exploration of the mind of an abused child in horrific circumstances and god it's cathartic. i love these two so fucking much

btw i guess this art has more context now huh haha after i infodumped off the plot to my sister they looked at this art again and was like. OHHH THIS IS EVEN MORE OMINOUS AND HARD TO LOOK AT WITH CONTEXT. AND I WAS LIKE YEAH!!!! YOU SEE THE VISION!!! THE SYMBOLISM!! ETC!!!!

Shows: Loki, Heartstopper, Young Royals, Marvel shows, etc. (I literally like all the shows I watch)

People I Want to Know Better! December 11 2024

Thank you for the tag @thosegayoldmen and @silentxsymphony ! I’m real bad at these games, but that’s never stopped me before 😁🤗

Last song: Double Nature by Mustasch. If I ever write a rock star AU, Loki will totally be belting this one out. Mobius won't know what hit him.

Favorite color: I am partial to yellow, but it has to be a bright, sunshiny, not-poultry shade if I’m gonna be able to wear it. But I do love jewel tones, too.

Last read: Struuuuuggled my way through The Crucifix Killer by Chris Carter. If you want Bad Guys cackling evilly in the bushes, misogyny and a healthy sprinkling of racist-and-other stereotypes, read this book! 😇 The plot twist caught me by surprise in a meh sort of way, and just… No. Nope nope nope. But really, I’m CLEARLY not the target audience. Most of the time I don’t make the time to read anything outside of work. Too many fanfics to write, original work to write, movies and shows and games and and and… Maybe once I retire I’ll have time to read for a change.

Last movie: Since it’s December and Holiday season, I’m all about the over the top American/Canadian seasonal movies. You know, the Hallmark romances that pop up on every streaming service? Yeah. They’re so exotic and strangely charming! Started The Text Before Christmas I think it’s called? Last night. It’s kinda formulaic, but also charming, and I don’t need these types of movies to make too much sense. I’m in it for the seasonal decorations and American Notions of Christmas stuff, mostly.

Last TV show: Too many shows, too little tiiiiimmmmeeeeee aaaaarggghhhhh. I did watch all the Doctor Who specials with David Tennant a while back, AND the whole first season of Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor. Be still my heart. I so want to write a Lokius/Doctor Who crossover type thing, but like, who’s gonna read THAT 😅

Sweet / Spicy / Savory: I love baking, but I’m not much for sweet stuff. When it comes to most things foodstuffs, I love spice. All kinds of spice, not just chili peppers. It’s a Swedish thing. We use spices in EVERYTHING. For fic, I love it all, as long as it makes sense within the framework of the story. (AKA, no such thing as OOC if you make it make sense. 😘)

Relationship status: Single, can’t be bovvered.

Last thing I googled: “Heart of Corruption Veilguard” because I can’t fucking get past a fucking DOOOOORRRRRRR. Currently inaccessible, gimme a goddamn break.

Current obsession: Lokius all the way, my beloved dorks in love and peril and stuff. Also Dragon Age Veilguard, although I wouldn’t call it an obsession just yet. It’s nowhere near DA2 or Inquisition. Remember my tumblr post from a couple days ago, of me weeping nostalgic into an ice cream tub over The Dawn Will Come? Yeah.

Although, I have gotten chills on two or three occasions, and I did get all teary-eyed at this one scene today. Well done, Veilguard.
