✮⋆˙a.n : so todays valentine’s day (its the 13th at 11:59 posting this, great job me :3). so happy valentines i guess. i’m spending it celebrating jaehyun's birthday and writing abt my husband who’s in the war. i haven’t written in like, six years (six months) so pls go easy on me

i never liked valentine’s day. it was always a stupid ass holiday if i do say so myself. am i saying that bc i never had a good valentine ? …maybe so, why are you so nosy ?? anyways, that was before i met him, min yoongi. i never met a man who says he hates a holiday so much but also goes all out for it. our first valentines last year i expected him to not really get me anything or like a bouquet of flowers since it wasn’t that much…i got a bouquet alright, like seven of them (he had said he didn’t know which one i would like so he just got me all of the ones he thought i would want), plus a shit ton of chocolate and just little things like one of his hoodies and this ring i had been eyeing for like months beforehand. so much for “valentines day isn’t really my thing” right ? all men do is lie, even min yoongi.

okay but anyways, here we are now, a year later. i wanna prove myself this year, i refuse to be out-valentines’d by him, no matter what that takes. now just one problem, he’s rich, i work at a coffee shop. shit, i know right ? but we will make it work i don’t care. 

so have i had this planned out for the last two months like a gta heist ? yes. but i NEED this day to go perfect. did it ? NO. NO IT DIDNT. first the necklace i got him with his name won’t be ready until the 17th, and then the kiss hoodie i was working on for him GETS BLEACHED SPILLED ON HIM, curtesy of our cat, johnny, and then; if it wasn’t going awful anyway, the cupcakes i made for him burned. and i’m going to his studio as we speak…this is my thirteenth reason. so right now all we have is his favorite flowers, a bleached hoodie with my kisses and a book of poems i wrote for him, sigh. SIGH. and if it didn’t help, he already gave me half of my gift before he left and it’s ten times better. A ROSE GOLD NECKLACE, he got me a rose gold encrusted with the sun because “i’m the sun to his moon”, he makes me wanna bash my head sometimes from how sweet he is. 

so getting to his studio, the definition of “shaking in my little boots”. i can hear him practicing his music from outside his studio, it’s like walking into beethoven working on smth if beethoven was your 30 year old idol boyfriend for a kpop group, if that makes sense, which is doesn’t so. anyways, i put in the code for his studio (it’s our anniversary, excuse me while i cry.) and quietly walk in to not disturb him, which isn’t that hard since he has tunnel vision as he invented it, and quietly tap his shoulder gently to get his attention. he turns around, taking off his headphones and noticing me with a small smile on his face, which might as well have been a kiss from him then and then. 

“hey love, happy valentine’s day, what are you doing here ?”, god why does he have to have such a perfect voice; it’s like he doesn’t even have to try. i go on to give him to give him his gift and try to explain that i had much more to give him and i knew it wasn’t enough to give and- and he cuts me off. good job if i do say so myself because the yapping i do, i could win a medal. 

“honey honey, this is perfect…you didn’t even have to get me anything, and you wrote me poems…that’s like writing me a song, this means the world to me. you remembered my favorite flowers, and this hoodie..i don’t think i’ve ever gotten a gift like this from anyone before, not even the guys. thank you so much…”, and my heart just turns into a puddle then and there. all my worries gone in a second, how does he do it ? he really should’ve become a therapist in another life, but i guess he does that with his music. but anyways, did i expect him to like the gift ? absolutely not. i did try to pay for dinner that night and he still didn’t let me do it, saying it was “an extra gift” as if i needed anymore gifts. remind me next to try and not outgift a rich idol who’s secret love language is definitely gift giving. 

i’m still getting next years gifts ready anyways. i’m so winning next year, i don't care.

Adrian watched Nova as she lay on the couch, a book spread across her lap.  Her lips were twisted in a frown, and her hair hung low over her eyes.  She hadn’t turned the page in a while, and just seemed to be sitting there, pretending to read.   

“Nova, what’s wrong?”  He asked finally, his voice full of concern.  

She started.  “Nothing,” she said quickly.   “Why?”

Adrian sighed, and rose from his chair, settling down against Nova.  “You don’t seem okay.”

She scowled.  “I’m fine.  Just reading.”

“Uh huh.”  Adrian was even more worried now.  “You wanna watch a movie or something?”  

Nova shook her head.  “I’m reading.  Go sketch or something.” She flapped her fingers at him, attempting to shoo him away.   

Adrian didn’t budge.  

Nova groaned, and set her book down.  “Adrian,” she said, clearly annoyed.  “I said I’m fine.  So… please let me be.  I promised Narcissa I’d read this book.”  

“Nova, you can always talk to me.  I’m here for you, you can tell me anything.”

Her face softened.  “I know, Adrian.”  

He wrapped his arms around her, then rose.  “I’m going to make some tea.  Want any?”  He knew that always made her feel better.  

She shook her head.   “I need to go to therapy soon. In fact, I should go get ready.”  She groaned, and pushed herself to her feet.  

“Okay.  Have fun!”  Adrian smiled at her.

She nodded, but she seemed distracted.  “Yeah.  You too.”

“Narcissa, I need your help,” Adrian said into the phone.  

“Hi to you too,” her dry voice responded.  

“You know Nova better than anyone except me, and probably Leroy, but I don’t know how to find him, so I need you.”  

“M‘kay.  One sec.”  He could hear her moving around, and muffled words.  He couldn’t quite make out what she was saying.  Static came from the other end.  

He tapped his fingers impatiently against his leg.  

“Okay.  I’m listening,” Narcissa said at last.  

“Nova seems really upset today.  I don’t know why, and she’s trying to pretend she’s fine, but I know something is wrong.”  Adrian cringed.  He felt like he was betraying Nova, talking to Narcissa about her feelings.  She wouldn’t like that.  

“Yeah.  That would make sense,” Narcissa replied.  

“What’s bothering her?”  Adrian demanded.  “I’m worried about her…”

“Does Nova talk about her parents a lot?  Or you know.... Ever?”

Adrian shook his head, then remembered he was on the phone. “No.  I just know that she watched them die, and it was Ace’s fault.”  

“Adrian,”  Narcissa said softly.  “It happened today.  She still feels really guilty over it.  She thinks that if she had been faster, or smarter, or stronger she could have stopped it.  And this year…” 

“It’s the first year since she figured out what really happened....” Horror crawled across Adrian’s face.  

“Yeah,” Narcissa said heavily.  “This is probably the worst it's ever been.  She’s the only one left to mourn them.  It’s probably pretty hard for her today.”  

“Shit.  I had no idea.”  He frowned.  “Why didn’t she say anything?”

Narcissa scoffed.  He could imagine her rolling her eyes at him.  “It’s Nova.  You think she would talk about it?”

Adrian shrugged.  “Fair.  What should I do?”

“I don’t know.  Talk to her?  You know Nova better than me.”

Adrian nodded, distracted.  “Ok.  Thanks for telling me, I’ll see what I can do.”  

“Hey Adrian?”  Narcissa said, her voice tight.  

“Yeah?”

“Be careful with her, okay?” 

Adrians face softened as her words came over the phone.  “You know I will.”  He set the phone down, and sighed heavily.  Of course.  It made perfect sense.  This was probably a miserable day for Nova.  Her parents deaths were hard enough on their own, but now that she knew that Ace had killed them… he inhaled sharply.  Her whole world had been turned upside down, and now she was alone on the worst day.  Adrian had to do something.  He had to fix everything.  He had to help Nova.

Nova cracked the door open, wiping her hands across her eyes.  She felt absolutely miserable.  Everything hurt.  Every single year this day was hard, but it never hurt this bad.  

It normally was full of thoughts about what she could have done better.  Maybe if she had used her power on the man right away, her parents wouldn’t have been shot.  Maybe if she had grabbed Evie first, she could have escaped right away.  

Maybe if she hadn’t run, the man would have never found Evie.  

That one thought plagued her constantly.  If she had made some noise, or let the man see her, he never would’ve found Evie.  he never would have killed her.  He would have killed Nova instead.  The world would be better off anyways.  

Nova sniffled.

No, that wouldn’t have changed anything because Ace was the one who had ordered the attack.  Her own uncle assassinated her family.  His brother.  And every year he mourned with her, pretending to miss them the same way she did.  And she had believed him.  She had believed his lies.  He killed her mom.  He killed her dad.  He killed Evie.  And it all still felt like her fault.  

“Nova?”  She heard Adrian’s soft voice ask quietly.  

She wiped her eyes quickly.  

“Narcissa told me about… y’know.  Everything.  Stars Nova, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know.”  

She collapsed into his arms, and burst into tears.  

“Hey, it's okay.  It’s alright,” Adrian said, rubbing her back.  

“I miss them,” Nova sobbed into his shoulder.  “I miss them so much, but I keep going back to last year, and the year before that, and the year…”  she broke into a loud sob.  “I keep remembering how Ace was the one who made me feel better.  And- and it turns out he was the one who killed them.  It turns out it was all his fault.  I held onto him, while I cried.”  

“I know,” Adrian murmured.  

Nova pulled back.  “I just want them back.”

“Hey, I know you do.  I know how you feel.  If I hadn’t made Phobia, my mom would still be alive.  But there was no way to stop that from happening.  The past happened, and none of it was our fault.  We were little kids, and we didn’t know any better.”  

“But what if I could have saved them?  Or at least Evie?  I keep thinking about it, seeing all the ways I could have done it better.”

“Nova, you were six!  You couldn’t have been expected to save them.  You couldn’t have fixed anything.  None of it was your fault.”

Nova nodded mutely, and wrapped her arms around his body.  

Adrian held her tightly, and gently rocked them back and forth.  

“Thank you,” Nova said quietly at last.  “For everything.”

“Of course Nova.  I love you.”  He tilted her face up to his, and scooped her tears away with the pad of his thumb.  “There's one more thing I wanted to show you.”

“What?”

“It’s a surprise.  Would you rather stay in though?  I understand if you just want to stay home.  We could watch a movie, or just sit if you want…”

“No.”  Nova shook her head, and attempted a smile.  “I’m okay.  You can show me.”

“Okay.”  Adrian linked his arm through Nova’s and led her back out the door.  “Just let me know if anything is too much.”

“I will.”  

“Promise?”

She nodded.  “I promise.”

Adrian pulled the car into a small parking lot, and opened the door for Nova.  

“Where are we?”  She asked bewildered.  

“You’ll see.  Are you okay?”

She attempted a brave smile.  “Better.  It’s still hard to think about them.”

“It’ll never get better.  You can’t ever get over the pain.  But I find it helps to remember that you still remember them, and love them and miss them.  It means that they still exist, and matter.”  Adrian slipped his hand into Nova’s and squeezed it gently.  

He led her through a small iron gate, and to a large willow tree, the long boughs covering a stone bench from view almost completely.  

“What’s happening?” Nova asked, confusion in her voice.  

“You’ll see.”  Adrian spread the leaves apart, and pulled them through.  

Inside the leafy green cove, two twin stones lay on the ground.  

Nova fell to her knees as she stared at the inscription carved into the gray marble.  Tala Artino and David Artino.

“How?”  Nova asked, her eyes glassy with tears.  

“I asked around.  I knew there was a cemetery for those killed in the Age of Anarchy, and I know my dad had made sure your parents were buried.  It wasn’t hard.”  Adrian stuck his hands in his pockets, feeling awkward for some reason.  As if he was intruding on something sacred.  

“Adrian I-....”  Nova trailed off.  “Thank you so much.  I never thought I’d be able to see them put to rest.”  Twin trails of tears snaked their way down her cheeks.  

“Of course Nova.  I’d do anything for you.”  

She looked at the two headstones one last time.  “Where’s Evie?”  She asked at last.  Pain flashed across her face.  

“That was the other thing I wanted to tell you.”  Adrian cleared his throat.  “Nova, I think it’s possible she’s alive.”

“No.”  Nova shook her head.  “That’s impossible, I heard her cries…”  Nova took in a shuddering breath.  “I heard her cries stop after a gunshot.  She’s dead.  She can’t be alive.”  

“Nova, I can bring my drawings to life, you can put people to sleep with your touch.  Are you really going to argue about what’s possible?”

Hope spread across her face.   “You really think she’s out there?”

“The report said there were three bodies when my dad came.  When they picked up your parents, there were only two.  I’m not saying she is alive, but… she could be.”

“‘Could be’ is enough for me.”  Nova turned to face Adrian, hope and joy gleaming in her dark eyes.  “Adrian, will you help me find her?”

He smiled.  “You know I will.”  

Nova hugged her arms tight to her chest, and let herself smile at the two twin headstones.  “If she’s out there, I promise you I’ll bring her home,” she said into the empty air.  “I couldn’t save you… but maybe I can save her.”  She hugged her body tight to Adrian, and brushed a kiss against his cheek.  “Let's go home,” she said.

“Of course my star,” he replied, kissing her forehead.  

Nova walked away from her parents two headstones, feeling lighter and heavier than she had in years.  But now… now she didn’t need to bear the burden alone.  She would find her sister, and she had help.  She squeezed Adrian against her, and leaned heavily on his shoulder.  He wrapped his arm around her, and together they walked out of the cemetery.

hi!! i know i’m v v v late, but i really hope you all had a happy holidays and a good new years :)) i would’ve liked to come onto here sooner but i’m so burnt out from my last year of school that it took me forever do do this oop ehehe

i do want to talk about the future of this blog though,, i started it back up in 2018 because i was bored and had an overwhelming love for stray kids. i still do love them, they hold a very special place in my heart, but my interests do change. i haven’t lost interest in kpop, and i doubt i ever will tbh, but i do tend to go through stages of very strongly loving a group. i’ll admit i’ve become a very lazy stay ;;; i haven’t seen their most recent comeback yet, and i probably won’t for another month if i’m honest. and i feel terrible that i have this blog running knowing that i have no motivation to write, let alone for stray kids at this moment. i’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this, and honestly, i don’t think i will continue writing anytime in the near future. if i get extremely motivated i might make a multifandom blog, but thats unlikely at this point. of course, this blog has been amazing, i’ve met some people i really treasure and i’ve always really enjoyed writing, but i’m in the last two years of high school. i already feel under immense pressure because of how well my sibling did during their hsc and from past comments made by some of my teachers. of all the things i have heard about being a senior in highschool, very little of them are positive and reassuring. most of it is drilling into us about how hard we have to work, about how this grade wouldn’t be acceptable in year 11/12, etc.. it’s exhausting. as much joy and love this blog has brought me, it has also brought a large amount of stress ;;; i used to constantly check my phone to see how my posts were doing, i would worry about how many notes posts were getting and the ratios. i was always stressed about not being able to write while i had assignments. 

so i’ve decided that i think, for now, i will leave this blog. considering all that i have heard about how difficult year 11 and 12 is, and the standards that have been set for me, i feel that it will be best for me to focus on my studies. i know i haven’t posts much in the past months, but i was always thinking about it, even though i lack the motivation in this current moment. i will of course leave this blog up along with all of the posts. i will also still maybe check in from time to time. if anyone wants to stay mutuals/talk to me, just message me and i will give you my main blog <33

Everything by Memphis is A+ and I love it so if you haven’t you should check out more stuff by them ( No Ordinary Love is super nice, That’s Just Life is very dear to me and so is Divinity, Speechless is… my otp song for every otp ever tbh) -  Bring Me The Horizon is my fav post-hardcore band and both MMF and Chiodos are that genre so if you don’t know them give them a try! (Blasphemy, Run and Doomed are between my faves out of the latest album, and since you liked Under Your Halo you’re probably gonna like Follow You too) the album right before is amazing too if you’re okay with less melodic stuff, but the further back you go with BMtH the harder to listen to they get, just a heads up - Sleeping With Sirens are on the softer side of post-hardcore lately, Fly, Left Alone, Trouble, Fire and Empire To Ashes are some great ones, between the many, and, uhhhh, at this point I might have recced Nothing More a hundred times but let’s make it a hundred and one, try Funny Little Creatures, Do You Really Want It and Go To War out of the newest album! If you’re into punk and female voices you should check out Tonight Alive too, Jenna has one of my two fav female voices in rock right now (Crack My Heart and Temple are the latest two songs out!) and since I always rec stuff but I never rec anything by my favorite band ever, you ever heard of Alter Bridge? They’re more towards hard-rock/alternative metal, but check out Blackbird, Fortress, I Know It Hurts, Cradle To The Grave and Broken Wings just to make it one for every album I really, really adore this band and everything they ever made

It’s not a stupid question, don’t worry!! But I generally like to leave myself in Horikoshi’s hands for this sort of stuff, since I both enjoy the costumes as they are AND don’t want to be disappointed in case what I hope for doesn’t actually happen - that said, I’ve mentioned before that I’d really like Aoyama to get redirectors for his laser on his palms and for Kaminari to get a close combat weapon, since with the quirk he has anything metal would actually work wonders for him! He mentioned a sword, but I rest my case that tonfas would be cool, I really want him to use tonfas. A “costume” I don’t understand is Hagakure’s, by the way - would be nice if she got an actual costume and also I don’t really get why she’d wear gloves at all?? Mirio’s costume was made using his hair, I really want her to get something similar! That’s about it tho, I haven’t really thought much about anyone else in that sense~

Ok ok ok so this is way overdue but I was in a little denial yesterday and got caught up in some work. But! I am here now to theorize. So I've seen some of the other theories floating around on your blog and I have to say that whole having an arranged marriage that Jungkook wanted no part of thing seems really interesting but I find a couple problems with that. One being, why would he continue to see his fiance if he didn't want anything to do with it? Also considering he has a terse -SK (1/?)

relationship with his parents why would he agree to the marriage at all? The second problem I see is that when OC caught JK and mystery gal (I’m gonna refer to her as MG for now) canoodling JK apparently was smiling at her in a loving manner? He seems to love her just as mush as he loves the OC. And yes I do believe he loves them both (not sure about equally though). I think it’s plausible considering at one point OC was really in love with Tae but at the same time liked JK. Damn this -SK (2/?)

inclusion of background characters in the story. I feel like most writers forget that there is a world and life outside of the main characters. Also I’m living for Sope. I’m hyped for what’s to come but will be patient until you feel the time is right. I think most people feel the same way lol. Don’t stress yourself hun. You’re an amazing writer and deserve rest. Hi SK!! This is probably the longest ask I’ve ever received and y’know what, I was so freakin happy reading each message as it came in. ^^ I loved hearing you go from confusion, to doubt, to revelation and everything in between LOL. 

I’ll answer what I’m able to and probably only confuse/frustrate you more with the stuff I can’t really answer yet.😂😂

Everything you mention at the beginning are, indeed, notable discrepancies if we’re to go with the ‘Jungkook has a fiance that’s been forced on him’ theory. So either there are details about that that will come to the surface and explain these contradictions, or it’s not correct. Or I’ve come up with something with a million plot holes. Which I can (hopefully) confidently say isn’t the case, considering I made this completely unnecessary beast of a mind map just to ensure the explanations behind what just happened are all accounted for: 

You’re actually the first person to suggest that Jungkook is also in love with his fiance, as well as Y/N. This is a really cool angle! Like you said, it’s totally possible, considering Y/N is also struggling with the love for two men (though the longer she’s with Kook, the more Tae’s diminishes).

What is a popular thought, though, is that Y/N shouldn’t be with either of them right now. She’s pretty damn damaged and could probably do with a holiday with Yoonseok somewhere sunny and sandy lol. Thing is, because she’s fleeing like a prey animal now and her emotions are all over the place, Y/N is going to be quite volatile. She’s never really been pushed into this place before. She’s fallen for someone before, obviously, but not had that rejected in such a humiliating and traumatising manner. So her behaviour in the next chapter is going to reflect how she deals with it.

Good spot on the engagement ring thing. Maybe Jungkook doesn’t have one. Maybe he does, but doesn’t wear it. Maybe he wears it only when he meets with his fiance? Maybe she isn’t his fiance at all? After all, we only ever heard that word from the woman’s lips, not his. 

You’re definitely not thinking about things too much. These things were all woven into the story to get your cogs turning. ^^ Tae hesitated when Y/N asked why he kissed her (or something along those lines) and instead answered her with another question: “Are you happy with Jungkook?” And that is, perhaps, the most important line he’s had so far, as to revealing his inner workings. If you can come to a conclusion as to why he would ask that, his succeeding actions will begin to make sense.

Haha, Candy is actually Jimin’s girlfriend from chapter 4, she’s not a huge character but I thought some people might want to ask her questions of the more humorous variety, especially about Jimin (who will be back for ch. 12) ^^ ‘Dorothy’ is in quotation marks because it’s all we have to identify Jungkook’s ‘fiance’, or MG as you call her, so far. It’s what Y/N coined her in the elevator.

Yes, the ‘business stuff’ is central to many things where Jungkook is concerned. Like, all of it. You’ll find out more about that in 12, too. 

And thank you!!!!! I wanted the background characters to have life, too. I mean, they’re the protags of their own stories, too, and that’s why I wanted it to feel like things happened even when Y/N wasn’t in the picture. Yoonseok began something with each other, but you don’t know when or how it happened; it’s their business, and you find out with Y/N as you would with any of your other friends. Like, this stuff doesn’t just not happen, or only around Y/N.
