Ok, I decided to create a mini-column for this blog, namely the personal cry of the soul of the simp, or "This character is my wife, and I'll explain why!".
That's right, I will heartily write in posts about why I like this or that character so much! And hardly anyone will shut me up, because this world needs more posts with positive reviews about the Persians. And the first wife who will become my first post will be Jon Arbuckle from the animated series "Garfield and Friends"! I want to talk specifically about Jon from this cartoon, because he appeared in it much more often and showed a character, and I'm afraid to watch 3d animated series based on Garfield. Well, I'll also warn you that the post was created on emotions, so I'll be dumb at times.
Well, I definitely know that the simps will gather under this post… Hello people, I know you are unlikely to pass by this post, because I will lick the character. If anything, you can write your impressions about the character under this post. Maybe you want to add new things or just share your opinion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's cute.
Like… Both in appearance and character. He is funny, awkward, clumsy, and most importantly, he is quite a good guy. Yes, he does all sorts of shit or any nonsense, but that's what Jon is all about, half of Garfield's humor is almost based on this, that he's a loser and a hopeless romantic, and I'm not surprised anymore. But in fact, he does this job perfectly, I really love him with flaws than without them, otherwise I would not be perceived by me as a person with flaws and strange hobbies. Sometimes you look at him and think, "fuck, man, how do I understand you…". And yes, to some extent I like pathetic and nervous men, who are sometimes capable of doing crazy things (and he can also whimper).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Attitude towards pets.
dilf dilf dilf dlif dlif dlif dilf dilf dilf dlif dlif dlif dilf dilf dilf dlif dlif dlif-
All right, jokes aside, AHEM. But there is some truth in every joke, so he still DIL-
I like that in this cartoon he sometimes appears to Garfield and other pets as a parental figure (although unsurprisingly, Garfield in some cases behaves like a typical troubled teenager, but without whining, and I also find this charming). True, he is not perfect at all, but still he takes care of his dear boys, and in no other way! And he probably has almost the strongest patience with Garfield, lol. Because if I had such a cat, I might not have been able to stand it and would have gone to a mental hospital myself.- But okay, it's too loud about the latter.
3. Voice.
I don't know if I should mention it, but of course I will. For me personally, his voice is like that... Gentle and pleasant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. An apron makes a man 20% more attractive!
I don't know why, but I like that when cooking food, he puts on this little apron lol. But that's not the only reason I've highlighted this item, because I also want to highlight his culinary abilities. Because… Dude, he can cook! Forget about those words that he doesn't know how to cook, it's a complete fucking lie. Jon can cook many dishes at once! And this is just for the sake of feeding the cat.
So if you suddenly work late and come home, then you obviously won't stay hungry, because the same tired Jon managed to cook dinner (and most importantly, make it to dinner, otherwise Garfield will finish before you lol).
Tumblr media
5. Dancing
I think it's not worth talking about it, everyone has known about this dance for a long time. BUT HEY, I'LL SAY IT. HE WAS FUCKING AWESOME.
His plastic body, smug face, movements, and this shot of him opening his jacket and a tie with his pet on his chest… The dude literally revealed his whole wonderful essence. I mean it… I am an insecure person myself. I would never go out dancing in front of people, because I can't dance and it sucks. BUT THIS LOSER MAN DID IT, AND HE GETS A KICK OUT OF IT! HE DOESN'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT PEOPLE, HE JUST DANCED. THIS IS MY HOT WIFE EEEEEEEEE-
And that's why this character is my wife. The End.
Tumblr media
And I'm sorry that this post came out… It was enough for the little ones, although I could paint everything down to all sorts of little things like interests and other things, but I wrote everything I wanted. For me, Jon seems to have become a comfortable character, and I still don't fully understand why this is so (or is it my hyperfixation). But as long as he makes me happy, I dare not object to anything. And I lived up to the name of this blog, lol.

The God and the Gumiho review
Tumblr media
5/5 stars Recommended if you like: fantasy, mythology, Korean mythology, multiple POVs, enemies to lovers, mystery
Big thanks to Netgalley, Del Rey, and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This was definitely one of my favorite reads of February! It's got the perfect blend of magic, shenanigans, scheming, enemies-to-lovers, and humor. I was definitely on the edge of my seat as Hani and Seokga searched for the eoduksini, and while they got closer to one another with Hani still hiding her identity.
I definitely thought the worldbuilding was interesting. Most of the time is spent on a world where humans and immortals exist side-by-side, with the former completely unaware. So the characters have normal, everyday things like coffee, cars, and cellphones, but also have more magical items like swords and charms, and come across humans and magical creatures alike. I also liked the details about items the magical community could by from the store, particularly the non-human-liver alternatives the gumiho eat since Hani's Scarlet Fox spree resulted in the banning of eating human livers and souls. It's a small part of the book, but I thought it was a nice touch.
I absolutely love Hani. Her hidden past as the Scarlet Fox means she's notorious in immortal circles and not only is responsible for the ban on gumiho eating human livers and souls, but is also the gumiho with the highest kill count. Despite this, she's actually pretty normal and down to earth. She's also pretty funny, both intentionally and unintentionally, and I liked her blasé attitude about eating livers (and thus killing people). Hani clearly cares deeply and while she's dedicated to misguiding Seokga in regards to his Scarlet Fox investigation, she earnestly wants to help find and defeat the eoduksini. She also strives to help her friend Somi throughout the book and feels responsible over the younger gumiho.
Seokga, on the other hand, is a complete and utter asshole. But he grows on you. The trickster god is still bitter about being thrown out of the godly world and having his own realm of darkness locked up after his attempted coup. It's unclear how much of his personality is residual from that and how much is just him naturally, but Seokga really does not seem to care about anyone, nor very many things (other than coffee, man is particular about his coffee) prior to the events of the book. That being said, it becomes clear that Seokga does have deeper ties to his exiled life than it seems, and even he comes to the realization that there are some people that he cares about. It's easy to forget that Seokga was a trickster god because he's fairly serious and dedicated to his investigation(s), but it shows up in odd moments, such as when he cheats at rock, paper, scissors. Despite the fact that he's an asshole, Seokga does have a certain charm about him, even before he begins being a more...tolerable person.
The romance is, obviously, between Hani and Seokga. They balance each other out pretty well once they get past their barista-customer annoyance. Seokga is able to play 'bad cop' with ease while Hani is a much more soothing figure and the type who can calm crying witnesses enough to give a cohesive statement. I liked seeing the quirks they brought out in each other and am glad they get their chance at a happy ending.
The whole Scarlet Fox thing really is a mess. Hani was just enacting a kind of vigilante justice when she got the bright idea to take their livers as a treat for a friend. Unfortunately, the killings align too much with her 1888 spree and whaddya know suddenly there's a hunt on for the Scarlet Fox. Hani definitely does not want to get caught, and she definitely doesn't want another gumiho taking the fall in her place, she'd rather the whole thing just fizzle out and get written off as a fluke, and she's willing to attach herself to the investigation, and thus her least favorite customer Seokga, in order to achieve that. While there were some tense moments when I was worried about her getting caught, it was humorous to read about Hani doing her best to thwart Seogka's investigation and coming up with absurdities to get it done.
The eoduksini is the more serious of the two, particularly since the eoduksini has the potential to create a dark world in the realm shared by humans and immortals, something no one wants happening. There are a lot of twists and turns in this part of the investigation and I was definitely trying to work it out myself as the characters were. At times I felt confident I knew who it was, and then something new would happen and I would second-guess myself or Seokga and Hani. I was very invested in finding out who the eoduksini was and seeing how things would play out there.
Overall I greatly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to fantasy lovers. Seokga and Hani are pretty different but each bring humor to the novel and the two of them fit well together. I thought the worldbuilding was pretty interesting and I enjoyed getting to know the world and the magic within it.

Pokemon Infinite Fusion: A Review
Tumblr media
Hey, folks. As you may recall, I've played a couple pokemon fan games by now that use pokemon fusions as their central premise. So when I heard of a new fusion game that boasted a whopping 176,400 possible fusion combinations, I obviously had to try it out. I've written a little review of my experiences below. (Contains mild spoilers about game mechanics and features, but I do not spoil any major plot points)
Introduction
Previous fan games, such as Pokemon Fusion Generation and Fusion Generation 2, have been very enjoyable forays into the world of pokemon fusion, and the number of fusions available from those games already felt incredible. It provided for so much entertainment and experimentation. And yet, the world of pokemon fusions has been expanded even further. Pokemon Infinite Fusion, while not quite infinite, is named very appropriately, since the number of possible combinations may as well be infinite. The game takes place in Kanto/Johto and contains all the original pokemon from those reigons, as well as an expanded Dex roster that also offers selections from gens 3 - 7. This means the total number of base pokemon ends up at 420. And the wild part? Is that you have complete freedom to fuse any two pokemon from this list. If you do the math, that means there are 176,400 possible total fusions. You may be wondering how on earth someone made a game where this is even possible.
The biggest catch here is that not every single fusion has hand-crafted sprites. Instead, it often draws from a sprite pool that has been generated by the popular Pokemon Fusion Generator website. You might remember back in the day when this website first rose to popularity and sort of kicked off the original pokefusion trend among fans. The site works by mashing the sprites together in a way that roughly makes sense. Here is an example:
Tumblr media
As such, the sprites often look a bit awkward, but they give a general idea of a fusion. Many pokemon fusions rely on this database of sprites, since as you may imagine, hand-crafting 176,400 combinations is no small feat.
HOWEVER. There still are over 50,000 hand-crafted sprites in the game for fusions. The number is simply staggering, and this was accomplished because many, many different sprite artists contributed to the project. What's more, new hand-made sprites are still being made all the time by the community, and you can even make your own and easily add them into the game yourself. For example, if you wanted to make your own Caterpie/Gyarados combo to replace the auto-generated one above, you can! This game is truly a labor of love on a massive scale, and it's inspiring to see.
In my opinion, the system that Infinite Fusion has works well. When it comes to in-game trainers, they almost always have only pokemon with custom-made sprites, so it doesn't feel too jarring to play. Meanwhile, the auto-generated sprites allow for the total flexibility and freedom of combining literally any two pokes. Also, while some auto-generated sprites are extremely awkward, many of them are actually quite passable and some could even be confused as custom sprites. So don't let the fact that not every single sprite is custom-made put you off, because I promise this game is still such a joy.
The Fusions
The main draw of this game, of course, are the fusions. So let's address them for a bit. How exactly do they work in this game? The basic premise of the game is very simple, but effective: the Silph Co has invented a new product called DNA Splicers. These can be bought at any Pokemart. They are a single-use item that will allow you to fuse any two base pokemon together. (Lorewise, the DNA Splicers are based off the item in Pokemon Black/White 2 that is used to fuse Kyurem with Reshiram or Zekrom) And that's it! When you select the two pokemon, you have a choice of 2 different fusions. Just as with the original Pokemon Fusion website, you can combine a pokemon by choosing one species for the 'head' and colors and one species for the 'body.' This influences how the fusion looks, of course, and also impacts exactly how the stats are combined in the resulting pokemon, too. Later on there's also a nice product in the Marts that is a 'DNA Inverser' that lets you immediately create the inverse fusion, as well. It's quick and easy, no muss, no fuss. You also can unfuse pokemon at any time.
In this game, you will encounter trainers with pokemon fusions all the time, as well. Because the DNA Splicers are a hot new fad, pretty much everyone in Kanto wants to try them out. This means that fighting trainers in this game is guaranteed to be endlessly entertaining, because you are seeing new fusions literally all the time, throughout the entire game. The Gym Leaders and E4 (and your rival) boast some of the most exciting combinations, as they should. Also, you will see fused pokemon in the wild, too, in addition to the normal base species. This means that even just exploring or grinding is continually entertaining.
The fusions function in game pretty much as you would expect. Their movesets are a combination of the two base pokemon. Their stats are a combination of the two individuals. When you first fuse them, you get to choose which of the Abilities you'd like to have for the resulting fusion. The Types are generally combined so that the first typing of the Head pokemon is mixed with the second typing of the Body pokemon. As for evolutions, those exist independently. So, for example, if you have a Charmander/Caterpie fusion, it will evolve into a Charmander/Metapod fusion at level 7, and then a Charmander/Butterfree fusion at level 10, and a Charmeleon/Butterfree at level 16, etc.
A pretty reasonable question you might have is "how the heck does the game even handle this many fusions"? I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea how they fit this many pokemon slots into the game (including a Pokedex that has all of them!!) Obviously it would be impossible with a ROM hack, but of course this is a fan game and thus does not operate under the same constraints. (That said, the number of pokemon it handles is still incredibly impressive) I do know the game total filesize is understandably quite large if you choose to download the 'standard' version of the game, because it has a butt-ton of sprites. Fortunately, you can opt for the 'light' version of the game if you'd rather not download all those sprites at once, and the game can connect and download sprites as needed. This is the version I use and it works great.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for the fusions themselves, I love the vast majority of the sprites. They run the gamit from pretty straightforward fusions to intensely creative and clever designs. Some look very cursed in a good way, and above all, they're sure to be entertaining, if nothing more.
I will make one brief note of warning: there are many artists contributing to this game, so naturally the sprites will vary. Occasionally there is a sprite I find that I would personally consider to be . . . not matching the tone of Pokemon (Parasect/Ursaring for example has bloody stumps for its forearms, with dripping blood, which to me just feels a little too gory and out of place for Pokemon) or something that's bordering on inappropriate. The slightly 'inappropriate' ones are sprite fusions made for particular pokemon species that are known to be sexualized by fans (namely, Lopunny and Gardevoir). I have not encountered anything overtly inappropriate, mind you-- but some are clearly sexualized, and that understandably can make some people uncomfortable, myself included. Fortunately that's quite easy to avoid, as you merely need to avoid fusing pokemon of those particular species.
Other Features
So, the devs of this fan game are very frank about the fact this game does not focus much on plot. It is, in their words, essentially "Pokemon Red, but with fusions." That said, there is a basic plot to this game that is slightly altered from the usual Red plot. Team Rocket is up to no good, but their schemes now are strongly linked to the exciting new fusion technology. I won't spoil the storyline, but I do want to say the climax of the story is very satisfying and especially rewarding to hardcore pokemon fans.
Additionally, Infinite Fusion offers a lot of delightful QoL upgrades and bonus content. It boasts a ton of sidequests, mostly streamlined by offering a Hotel in towns where the sidequest NPCs are gathered (and a way of easily tracking your quests and rewards). The game also allows you to rematch trainers as much as you'd like, and trainers' pokemon grow stronger and will even evolve when you rematch them enough times. This is very convenient if you'd like to do some grinding. There are a lot of modern pokemon moves added to the game, Fairy typing, and plenty of other modern upgrades. The game also offers an integrated Randomizer mode, a speed-up button, a WonderTrade simulator to give you all kinds of random fusions, battle facilities and other goodies to maximize its replayability and its streamer/YouTuber-friendlyness.
Some of my favorite features include Pokeradar for finding rare pokemon and Hidden abilities, which includes a very handy display of all possible pokemon encounters in a given area once you've discovered them all. Another useful addition are in-game items that replace the need for HM moves, but are integrated in a very reasonable way. Basically, you start off needing to use HM moves, but eventually can earn special items that replace the need for HM moves. Usually you end up earning these items around the time you'd like to replace the HM move with a more useful moveset, so it works out very well.
I think my most favorite thing, though, are just all the NPCs with changed dialogue and fun jokes and nods that the game contains. You can tell a lot of love went into the game by fans who truly do love Pokemon. Some of these references include nods to Pokegod rumors, details from manga or anime, other pokemon games and other video games, and so forth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
There are a lot of little details, including an updated Safari Zone and even a Team Rocket black market, where you can purchase pokemon and unique items! As such, I want to emphasize that there's plenty to explore and see, despite the plot being largely the same. And with a full Kanto game + Johto & Sevii islands postgame, there is plenty of content.
My Run
Pokemon is a game largely defined by choice. While "catch them all" may be the catchphrase they introduced in the US, that has never truly captured the spirit of pokemon. Pokemon is more about the ones you choose. Pokemon Infinite Fusion expands that power of choice to the nth degree, so much so that you can very easily suffer from decision paralysis. In a game that gives you 176,400 pokemon to choose from, how can you possibly decide?
I handled this question by narrowing things down a little. I often do all-bug challenge runs of pokemon games, so I decided my run would be limited to bug types only. But even with that narrowing things down, the number of options were still quite dizzying. I definitely did a lot more team shuffling and changing than I normally do. I know I spent hours just fusing things to see what they'd look like. (There's a very handy website to speed this process up, allowing you to preview fusions.) It was overwhelming at times. But ultimately, I did settle on a final team.
Surprisingly, this team often didn't consist of my absolute top picks of fusions. For example, the Yanmega/Kabutops I have looks awesome, but I think I like the sprite of Butterfree/Kabutops a little bit more. However, my choices were constrained by things other than mere aesthetics. I did want a team with decent synergy and coverage, too. I think that's an interesting thing to think about. In life, you may not even need to be the Very Best to still be an excellent pokemon-- or to be chosen.
Tumblr media
Sasspora - Parasect/Ninjask - Bug/Flying - Infiltrator - Silver Powder
Moveset: Screech/Aerial Ace/X-Scissor/Spore
Notes: Sass unfortunately suffers from never learning a really good Flying STAB in his learnset. Aerial Ace was the best I could do for him. Still, Spore abuse and his fantastic speed take him very far.
Zippy Zap - Beedrill/Jolteon - Bug/Electric - Volt Absorb - Amulet Coin
Moveset: Quick Attack/Dig/Thunderbolt/Thunder
Notes: This fusion emphasizes Beedrill's weaker stats when compared to the inverse fusion. Despite that fact, Zip Zap continued to be invaluable on my team all the way through to the very end, hitting above his weight. He offered vital Electric coverage and was a check to fellow Electric types.
Pomegranite - Butterfree/Rapidash - Bug/Fire - Compound Eyes - TwistedSpoon
Moveset: Tailwind/Flare Blitz/Fire Blast/Psychic
Notes: Compound Eyes + Fire Blast is pretty cool lol
Peekaboo - Yanmega/Kabutops - Bug/Water - Swift Swim - Rocky Helmet
Moveset: Night Slash/Air Slash/Surf/Aqua Jet
Notes: I knew I had to fuse the Horseshoe Crab/trilobite-inspired Kabutops with a bug type; he was just too cool to pass up. Night Slash was very useful coverage on Ghosts, which may not come up often but when it did, it saved us big time.
Purple Rain - Ledian/Flygon - Bug/Dragon - Levitate - Soft Sand
Moveset: Fly/Bug Buzz/Rock Slide/Earthquake
Notes: When I was playing around with fusions, and I un-fused my Ledyba, it suddenly turned into a shiny. My guess is the game re-rolls things when you un-fuse pokemon so each time you un-fuse a pokemon, there's the chance they become shiny. It was pretty cool, but the best part was the shiny in this game was purple. A million times better than the actual shiny. So I had to use it.
Flygon was the perfect chance for that. We all know Flygon should have been Bug/Dragon, as it's based on an Antlion, both the larva and adult. Finally, Flygon could fulfill its true destiny. EQ and Rock Slide may not have been STAB but they both were essential to the team. The wide range of resistances was very nice, too.
Leonardo - Articuno/Armaldo - Ice/Bug - Battle Armor - Leftovers
Moveset: Brine/Freeze-Dry/Rock Blast/X-Scissor
Notes: My final 6th slot was kind of an uncertain one for a while, until I decided Bug/Fairy would be fun. For a long time I went with a Armaldo/Clefable fusion. I found it underwhelming and decided to change; an Ice type could still act as my designated dragon-killer. There wasn't any sprite done for Articuno/Armaldo at the time I was playing, so I did my best to make my own and added it into the game.
Conclusion
Play this game! Seriously, it is so good and you'll have so much fun. The replayability is practically infinite, and if you're especially passionate about pokemon fusions, you can submit your own sprite edits to be included in the sprite packs that everyone can download! The game has appeal for everyone, from super casual players, to streamers, to challenge runners and everyone in between.

there's a lot of pieces of information cancelling each other out regarding the "sudowrite mining ao3" but even if you disregard all uncertain parts of this story the fact remains that this whole fucking software is advertised as being for "writers who don't like to write - which is most of us" which is. so fucking bad on so many levels

will forever be fascinated by what s2 looked like from Martin's perspective because Jon quite obviously went through stages: project insecurities on Martin -> have a heart to heart -> be cared about by Martin and NOT TRUST HIM -> be cared about by Martin and oh no I like it -> go on about Martin to Georgie
but with Martin it's just. yell at the boss while hiding from a worm woman -> ??? -> (inordinately pleased) who said [we're close]??

no but it makes me so sad how for so long JM were such a lonely couple in a sense that there was no-one happy for them as an item? hell, many characters were outright mocking their relationship and their connection, especially Jon's part of it. from Jonah's "he's earned that" and Helen's "you really don't deserve it" to Basira's "and you trust him to do that?", we consistently see people undermine Jon's role in the relationship and - in Jonah's and Helen's case - intentionally toying with his fears and insecurities. Basira too (even though she'd just been through A Lot when she said that, but still) expresses a clear sentiment - she doesn't think Jon can be an equal partner to Martin. and it makes me so, so sad that for every time Martin believed in Jon, or comforted him, or said he understood where Jon was coming from, or apologised, or said he was happy to see Jon happy, or accepted Jon's explanations, or defended Jon in front of someone else, all Jon was getting from the "outside" of the relationship for a long time was people undermining or mocking his feelings, his desire to protect Martin, and the amount of work and heart he was putting into making the two of them work as a couple - the amount of work and heart that was completely equal to the amount Martin was putting in.
they had a healthy relationship, they were doing their best to communicate, to be there for each other, to solve their conflicts fairly and by trying to understand the other - and they knew there were doing well. but they were so alone in that.
i don't have any bottom lines here apart from 1) thank god Basira got better in the last episodes, 2) I'm really glad JM got to hear something kind about their relationship from Melanie and Georgie in 190 and 199, 3) i'm so fucking sad

@thegreatgrumbolia @softanddeeznuts  Unfortunately, like many very obscure theatrical productions, the first one is now lost media :(
It was called Byzantium! (of course it had an exclamation point in the title, lol) and it debuted at a theater festival in New York in the early 2000s. Most information about it has been more or less wiped from the Internet—the Wayback Machine never got around to archiving its website, and it was based on a concept album that also seems to have vanished–but you can still read old reviews of it, most of which are… not great. Apparently, it was mainly supposed to be a forbidden love story in the vein of Romeo and Juliet, with Justinian trying to marry Theodora against his family's wishes while simultaneously trying to avoid an arranged marriage to a foreign princess (I suspect that this princess was meant to be Amalasuintha and a lot of artistic license was involved here.) I think there were subplots about the Nika riots and the wars in Italy and maybe the plague, but it sounds like the love story was the main draw.
As far as the surviving reviews go, most of them are mediocre-to-bad-to-very-bad. A lot of them mention issues like uninspired sets, strange costumes (they all mention leather, it sounds like there was a lot of leather being used in odd ways), and inadequate singing—y'know, things that aren't good but also aren't unexpected or unusual for low-budget fringe-festival theater. The weird thing, though, is that they all mention 9/11. Apparently, in an effort to make Justinian's wars seem relatable and/or justified to the audience (remember that this debuted in NYC in the early 2000s), the writers just had Justinian talk constantly about them using catchphrases and statements that sounded like contemporary discussions about the War on Terror. They had him talk at length about things like homeland security and stamping out terrorism, which obviously doesn't make any sense from a historical perspective, and it sounds like it didn't make much sense in the context of the show, either. So, yeah. There was a post-9/11 Justinian/Theodora romance musical that got bad reviews because Justinian wouldn't stop talking about, idk, destroying Al-Qaeda or something.
(To be 100% fair to Byzantium!, though, some audience members seem to have loved it. I've seen a few people laud it as an intentionally ridiculous and campy comedy that eschewed historical accuracy on purpose, as opposed to a serious musical that earnestly tried to draw comparisons between Justinian and George W. Bush. So maybe the critics just didn't get it. It's hard to say having never seen the show, though.)
Anyway, if you want to read (some of) the reviews:
Talkin' Broadway
Curtain Up
New York Magazine
As far as the other two items on this list go, the Supernatural episode was called "Veritas," and they mixed up Theodora with the titular goddess (they also made Veritas evil and I think made her a cannibal also, which makes no sense at all to me, but I think Supernatural is just like that.) Throughout the episode, the main characters are looking up information about Veritas, and every time they see a picture of "Veritas" it's just Theodora's mosaic. Like, it's really obvious. And I know there are a bunch of sci-fi books about Belisarius, but for some reason the only title that's coming to mind right now is the Belisarius Series by David Drake and Eric Flint, which is possibly even more deranged than the 9/11 Justinian/Theodora musical. I think the premise of it is that two competing groups of aliens send rival cyborgs back in time to sixth-century Europe for some reason, and Belisarius ends up fighting the evil cyborg, which wants to alter the future in favor of his alien race. It's extremely funny because it's so fucking weird, but it also gets pretty uncomfortable sometimes.
byzantine media i can’t believe exists, part 1/???:
post-9/11 andrew-lloyd-weber-style justinian/theodora musical ft. the war on terror

PLAYING: Chrono Trigger
Tumblr media
I'm catching up to the past!
I'm 6+ hours in. I'm enjoying it. I feel my first time through I did a little more grinding. I've avoided grinding this time. I figured if I got stuck I'd just use cheat codes. I'm not really interested "work". (Maybe I'll review that later.) BUT, despite the lack of grinding, I've beaten all the bosses and handled all the monsters, while keeping my equipment up-to-date and kept myself well supplied. I even sold a bunch of low-level health items cause I didn't need them.
PLOT:
So Our goal is to stop the monster Lavos from destroying the world. Lavos was created by Magus. Magus...was he defeated. I thought they said he was defeated--but I guess the monster survives?
Anyway, we jump through the portal and find our selves in a town run by monsters. I think the're called mystics. They don't like humans being there but they're not openly aggressive. Unless you try to buy something, then they attack you for having the audacity. It's a neat twist, as this game continues to give monsters personality and motive. I found a statue of Magus and the monsters were dancing around it. They're not happy that humans run the show. I'm curious how nuanced this will be.
There's an old man living nearby. Weird that a human is allowed to live nearby. By the way, this is 1000 ad. They keep talking about the war with humans 400 years prior, which is where we met frog. We go through a cave, find some baddies, and then jump into a hole that spouts us out into human territory.
But the king is still pissed.
Because Magus making Lavos is 400 years in the past, that's where we have to go. There, a war is happening between humans and monsters on a bridge. The king has been injured. We take some food from the royal chef to the front lines and then we attack the bridge--clearing a path. This leads us to a couple of towns that are struggling due to the monster war.
There's supposed to be some "hero" people keep talking about. I thought maybe it was supposed to be Crono, but nah--it's some kid that picked up a "hero medal". We find the kid terrified in the woods. The woods leads to a cave and inside the cave is a sword stuck in stone. There's two kids, twins, named Masa & Mune. I defeat them and they give me the sword. I guess I had to prove my worth. But the sword is broken.
We find Frog hiding in shame in the woods. Poor guy. He doesn't feel deserving of hero-ness and threw the medal away, where the kid found it. Dumb. Anyway, we need to fix the sword. Which he has part of, I guess. There's a name on it and Lucca recognizes that from when we were near monster town in 1000 AD.
Back to 1000 AD we talk to the old man. yeah, he could fix it but he needs a special stone that no longer exists. So now I gotta go to 65,000,000 BC, or something like that. Anyway, there's dinosaurs and a cave girl named Ayla. She's impressed with our strength and invites us to her tribe.
This is really close to where I got before. So I'm excited I'm catching up. I think I'm roughly a third of the way through the game.
I HATE GRINDING:
I love JRPGs. I loved them more as a teen when I had more time to do nothing. I enjoyed leveling up and getting stronger. I didn't really like challenging bosses. I'd rather put in the time to be over-powered. So grinding was fine.
But now I don't have the time to grind. So I hate it. Really, I love JRPGs for the stories, characters, and adventure. I used to think text-based JRPGs were the perfect combination of all my favorite mediums: Books (cause I have to read the dialog), Music, Video Games (obviously), and Film (depending on how cinematic the game is--Final Fantasy).
I found with emulation, I can use cheats to side step the need for grinding. In some cases, I've been able to cancel out random battles. I love this. I can focus on the story, characters, and adventure! But this is not agreed upon by some peers and friends. For many, games are a challenge to be overcome. Sure: sometimes. Games are first and foremost an experience! If grinding makes it a bad experiencing and circumventing grinding makes it better, there's no shame in making the experience better.
It's game, find happiness in it.
CHARACTERS:
Chrono Trigger has been hailed as one of the greatest JRPGs evah. It probably deserves that, and overall I've really enjoyed it. But I'm less impressed with the characters. In Final Fantasy 7, I really enjoyed every character: their unique personalities and back stories. Same for Breath of Fire 3: every character has unique wants and perspectives. The plot isn't super deep, but the characters themselves make it interesting--especially their conversations as they discuss the weird events of the game.
I have to talk alot about BoF because I don't feel a lot of character development in Chrono Trigger. There's some personality there, and I like the characters. But there's just not much chatter. It's mostly them talking to other characters IF they talk to other characters. Like, in Breath of Fire 3, you could camp and literally speak with each character. It was always fun to do so after making a little progress because each member would give you a little insight into their current psyche. Chrono Trigger just doesn't have that. So while I'm enjoying the game, it's lacking a little bit of depth to me.

Goddamn it Kyra I wasn't even interested in the Lego Lokis before, but now that you've so rudely posted pics of the options I'm probably going to have to buy some. So, couple questions: I'm not familiar with the website you linked to (it doesn't help that I'm on my phone lol) - do you get them from that site or just Aliexpress? I've kind of poked around there but I don't think I've ever actually bought anything - do you have links to those ones you bought or any tips for finding them on the site? (or like. using the site in general without getting scammed or something? Idk much about it other than stuff being low priced lol).
😇😇😇
putting the rest behind a cut because oops this got long
OKAY SO the cool thing about knockoff Lego figures is that a) there are a ton of them, so you can probably find multiple versions of most characters, and b) they're super cheap, so if you do end up getting ripped off, you're probably only out a few bucks. plus if you don't get ripped off, you feel like a genius, because authentic Lego minifigs tend to cost way more than they should (and if you get them online, you probably don't have a good way to know that they're authentic) and here you are getting something just as good or better for way less.
the site I was getting pictures from is HeroBloks, which I only just discovered myself a couple days ago; it looks like mostly it's good for tracking your collection (and learning more about bootleg Lego minifigs in general, maybe--I didn't really realize until now how many different companies there are making Lego-like minifigs) rather than buying, with individual pages including sale links that are only mildly useful. like, the extremely sad TVA Loki has an AliExpress search link that apparently just searches for "blocks," which is the least helpful search term imaginable; the eBay link uses "xinh+xh1745+loki (tva)" as the search term and that's definitely better, although it doesn't actually turn up anything. maybe that one's too new to be widely available yet, I don't know. (I hope that's the case. I need him and his sad little face to come and live with me.)
anyway--eBay is a possible source. searching for "loki minifigure" gets me results for several of the new ones I’ve been seeing, and they all seem to be shipping from Japan or South Korea. the problem is they're all selling for $4.99 plus $7.49 shipping each, which is...more than I want to spend on something I know is a knockoff of some kind when I don't know anything about the quality control and I'm not guaranteed to get what's in the picture. (here's another listing asking $40 total for all 8 figures I bought yesterday, which is actually a better price, and I'd probably end up doing that if I hadn't found them elsewhere, but that's because I have a problem.)
this is why I like AliExpress, because the risks are slightly higher but the prices tend to be much lower, even with shipping prices having gone up a bit over the last couple years. as I understand it, the site is basically just a huge marketplace for tons of different sellers in Asia, like if eBay only allowed fixed-price listings and it was based in China. the vast majority of the site reads like it went through Google Translate, because it probably did. you can find...basically anything there. I have no idea if any of it's authentic. (I also don't know anything about how or where any of the knockoff stuff is made, so...there is that.) I would not, for instance, drop $300 on a Hot Toys Loki from here, even though I absolutely would have the option to do so, for the obvious reason that I'm not going to risk that much money on an item that might be a cheap knockoff or could arrive broken. there is, in general, a solid possibility of breakable things arriving broken, because decent packaging costs more. cheap shipping will be slow (by which I mean like...up to 90 days), and most purchases either won't have tracking at all or won't have accurate tracking, so this is absolutely not a place to buy anything you want to get quickly. you also don't want to just buy something and forget about it, because there are (variable but generous) time limits past which you can't get a refund if you don't receive your items. the site's UI is...mostly functional. you often have to get a little creative with your search terms to find what you want (and sometimes you won’t find what you want through searching, but through looking at related items on the pages of things that aren’t quite what you want or are what you want but aren’t a good price). you will, absolutely, come across a lot of stolen art on things like pins, t-shirts, stickers, and phone cases, which you might not realize until you see something you recognize from a fanartist you like, and obviously that sucks. listing photos are nearly always stock photos, so in many cases they won't tell you anything about the item you're actually getting. you know the Wish app, and all the crazy things people get from that? you can find all the same stuff on AliExpress, at similar levels of quality.
however, if you approach it keeping all that in mind, it can be a great resource. I can't make any guarantees about the site's safety, but to the best of my knowledge it's secure and I've never had any weird charges show up after buying something. it's also my understanding that Alibaba, the parent company, is more or less the Chinese equivalent of Amazon in terms of the amount of business it does, which would probably be pretty tough if customer data were routinely being exposed to thieves, you know? I've also successfully gotten several refunds for items that never arrived, which actually hasn't happened all that often--but knowing that it can happen and that the return period expires, I’ll check back on the site if it seems like it’s been an unusually long time and I’ll make a reminder for myself of the deadline so I can contact the seller in time if necessary.
so the way I shop there is, I don't buy expensive or fragile things in general, because I recognize there's a nonzero chance I'll get a cheap knockoff, or something that was broken in transit because the seller tossed it in a box with no padding and called it good, or sometimes nothing at all. but like eBay, the sellers and items have ratings and reviews from customers, so that helps avoid some risk. items with lots of reviews tend to include at least a few customer photos, which are great for getting a better idea of what the thing you're buying actually looks like. I took a bit of a risk last year buying a Hot Toys (or the equivalent, I actually have no idea) Steve Rogers head for about $20, for instance, but I wasn't super worried about it because the customer photos looked good, the seller I used had a lot of sales and a lot of good ratings, and it was still a lot less than I would've paid for an authentic Hot Toys Steve Rogers head--and in fact he got here just fine and he looked fantastic. I also spent about $20 for a knockoff Iron Studios Loki statue, because in that case it was like...yep I’d love the real thing, nope I’m not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on it, yep I am willing to spend $20 on something that doesn’t look quite as nice but still looks good enough for me in the customer photos. well, and I’ve also bought knockoffs I knew would look bad, because they were cheap and I want all the Lokis and I have enough of an addiction that all the Lokis does in fact sometimes mean “even ones that look really bad” to me.
anyway, uh, Lego-type minifigs. this is an especially good area to go knockoff, because--okay, apparently I can’t link to a page of HeroBloks search results for some reason, but it’s the best resource I’ve found for this type of thing that isn’t just authentic Lego figures. but if you go there and do a search for “loki” you’ll get a bunch of results and you’ll see that they come from like...9 or 10 different brands. Lego specifically has only four Loki options: Avengers Loki in black, Avengers Loki in gray for some reason (which, frankly, looks like a cheap knockoff but isn’t), movie-inaccurate Ragnarok Loki with the blue outfit and the full helmet, an ugly Classic Loki, and a mostly green Loki from I guess the first Thor movie (and then I think they’re going to release a TVA Loki, a Sylvie, and a Throg). all those other results--all those different outfits from every single Loki appearance, and different variations on those outfits, nearly all of them more screen-accurate and/or detailed than the Lego versions--are technically knockoffs. they’re better and you can buy them for way less. (I mean, a lot of them are new so I don’t have them yet, but I do have frost giant Loki, better Ragnarok Loki, better Avengers Loki, opera Loki who actually has another face that’s half-Jotun, and at least one chrome-helmet option, and they all look basically like the photos. so I think I can reasonably expect most of the new ones to look basically like their photos too.)
for reasons that I don’t understand aside from a vague guess that it’s copyright-related, AliExpress pretty much no longer shows full pictures of Lego-type figures in their listings--instead, you have to pick just based on the heads. this is a problem when lots of heads look very similar to each other! luckily, the listings also typically have the actual serial numbers for each figure, as do the HeroBloks listings, so you can cross-reference them to see what you’re really getting. for instance let’s take this listing because it’s cheap and it offers most of the Loki figures that are currently available. say you’re interested in one of the horn-less Lokis. there are...let’s see, five of them, but you have no idea what they actually look like aside from slightly different facial expressions and maybe weapons. however, the first one listed says XH1359 for its color...and what do you know, 1359 is the serial number for this Loki by a company called Xinh. okay cool, how about the last one? the “color” is listed as WM2182--and yes, HeroBloks has a listing for a Ragnarok Loki from World Minifigures with the serial number 2182. (I just ordered all 8 of the new World Minifigures ones yesterday, so again, I can’t personally guarantee yet that they’ll look as good in person as in the pictures--but I think they probably will, and more importantly they cost a whole dollar each.) and if HeroBloks doesn’t have a particular figure, you can probably find something useful just by googling the serial number.
I specifically bought from this listing yesterday because they currently have a bit of a sale going and a deal for free shipping if you buy 10 figures, and I wanted a couple duplicates, so it worked out to be the cheapest option. the same store has another listing for a bunch more Marvel characters, including a couple more Lokis I already had, so it should be pretty easy to get the free shipping so the figures are less than a dollar each and you’re only risking about $10. if you’d rather try one or two and see how it goes, it looks like this listing is probably the cheapest, with figures currently going for a little over a dollar each once you add shipping (although it’s totally possible shipping is more for me because Alaska).
that’s...probably already way more information than you really wanted, but I hope at least some of it makes sense. feel free to ask other specific questions if they come up--I might not be able to give answers exactly, but I can probably tell you what my experience has been, which is better than nothing.

The Best Nintendo Switch Controller Review
The Pro Controller is fine.
I still recommend it to most people
but if you play a lot of 2D games that the D-Pad placement
just isn't gonna cut it. 8BitDo is been making
fantastic Deepak controllers for a while now.
I originally recommended the old SN30
if you wanted to play a lot of 2D games.
Its biggest flaw was it's ergonomics, making it hard to play
3D games with its thumb sticks.
They fixed that with the release of the SN30 Pro+
a near-perfect controller that quickly became
my favorite controller for the Switch.
I used it so much that I ran it into the ground
and had to buy a new one recently. Almost two years later,
they finally released an updated version,
simply called the 8BitDo Pro 2.
Thank God that name was starting to be a mouthful.
This version adds a lot
to the already fantastic Pro Controller alternative.
If you are on the fence about getting one before,
this one will for sure give you
a couple of pretty good reasons to reconsider.
(upbeat music)
This video is sponsored by Aspyr, the guys who brought you,
the Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy Switch ports
are now bringing you Star Wars Republic Commando.
It's finally on Nintendo Switch
and PlayStation 4 for just 1499.
Check it out at the link in the description below.
Whoa! Whoa! Come on, dude.
Chaos has erupted throughout the galaxy.
As leader of an elite squad of Republic Commandos,
your mission is to infiltrate, dominate,
and ultimately annihilate the enemy. You will play as Boss,
leader of the special ops unit Delta Squad
together with Fixer, Scorch and Sev
working together as a team
instinctively, intelligently, instantly. You guys all right.
I was here first and then you guys just came.
Battle a variety of highly intelligent and deadly enemies
from brutal Trandoshan mercenaries, all right.
To the flying insectoid warriors of Geonosis.
This game was originally released in 2005
and I think is a crucial part of Star Wars history.
I love this era of Star Wars games and I love that Aspyr
is putting some games from this era on the Switch.
So again, you can try it for yourself for just 1499
at the link in the description below.
(water bubbling)
Sorry anybody got a USB-C charger.
(water bubbling).
So if you're new here
the biggest reason why I recommend this controller
is because of the D-pad. It's perfectly clicky.
It feels almost exactly like an original S.N.E.S controller
but you know, newer obviously. But it also has
all of the makings of a great modern controller.
It's thumb sticks feel almost exactly
like a DualShock 4 thumb sticks, making this a great option
for 3D games if you need something that could do both.
Here's something I often forget to mention.
It comes with a rechargeable battery, but it can be removed
and replaced with two double A's if you're in a bind,
something Microsoft should take note of.
It also has great motion controls and rumble.
The only thing that it's missing
that the Nintendo Pro Controller has is NFC.
But at the significantly lower price point,
are you really gonna be missing NFC that much?
The original SN30 Pro+ was and still is $45.
This new one bumps the price up to $50,
which is still a reasonable price
and some harsh competition for Nintendo's $70 controller.
It also works on Switch, Windows, Mac, Android,
and Raspberry Pi via Bluetooth, which is great
if you wanna play emulators or 2D games via Steam.
It's an all-around great controller
and I haven't even mentioned any of the new features yet.
Everything that I've said is also available
on the older $45 model.
The Pro 2 Sports 2 assignable back buttons.
This is a very welcome addition
and something I wish more controllers included.
My only gripe here is that
they're a little too easy to press. They're very large.
It's very difficult to grip the controller
without touching these buttons with your middle fingers.
In an intense game of Mario Maker
I accidentally press these buttons many times.
Luckily, by default they're assigned to nothing.
So pressing them did nothing at all.
You can assign functions to these buttons
using the brand new 8BitDo companion app.
In fact, you can remap all of the buttons
using the companion app.
And there are three different assignable profiles
that you can swap between on the fly.
Technically there's four because
there's just a baseline default one which is great
for when you don't wanna accidentally hit the back buttons.
Pressing this button right here switches between the modes.
There's off one, two and three.
In addition to remapping the buttons,
this software also allows you to fix the sticks dead zones.
It's also supposed to let you fix the trigger sensitivity,
but I couldn't figure out how to do that in the app.
I can only figure out how to do that on the desktop version.
But I like having my trigger sensitivity set really high
so they're like hair triggers because almost no Switch games
registered trigger sensitivity anyway.
Upon further review it seems that they disabled
the trigger sensitivity tab for the Switch.
So they got rid of trigger sensitivity
entirely for the Switch which is weird
'cause there are games that could still use it.
But if you go to Android or DInput or whatever,
it shows the trigger sensitivity, which is very strange.
You can also adjust vibration levels and of course,
macros, which go great with the new additional back buttons.
Previously, I used to assign macros to the share button.
Now I don't have to, unfortunately, the macro functionality
still, isn't very intuitive. You have to program it yourself
in the app, one button at a time. You can set the timings
between button presses but that's way harder to do
than just inputting a macro yourself on the controller
and having it record your inputs.
Something I've seen in a few other devices lately.
I hope that 8BitDo can eventually update
the Ultimate software and the Pro 2's firmware
to have this sort of functionality.
Because right now the macro function is pretty much
all only useful for like fighting games.
They did add the ability
to use thumb stick inputs for macros.
So if you have more patience than me
you can figure out some macros for Smash Brothers.
What might be more useful is assigning a turbo button
which is useful for many games, namely Animal Crossing.
I have a whole video on that if you're interested.
The old Pro+ had a turbo function but with this new Pro 2,
it might be worth it to assign one of the back buttons
to enable the turbo function. You can also have
the other back button assigned to hold.
So it will hold down a button forever.
So you can breeze through long menus or something.
Another useful feature that was recently added.
You can set the left stick to be swapped with the D-pad.
This is useful for games like Link's Awakening,
which should have D-pad support, but it doesn't.
There's also an option
to swap the right stick with the triggers.
I think that's some fighting games.
But my favorite part about this new mobile app
is that it allows you to change your settings on the fly.
You don't have to disconnect it from your Switch at all.
You can have it connected to your Switch
and the app at the same time.
This is something that you could not do
with the previous desktop app. This is huge for figuring out
the timing of macros or finding out the right button mapping
for yourself and immediately trying it out in the field.
One of my least favorite things
about wireless controllers like this
is connecting it to the Switch.
I often find myself just (indistinct) the button
till it finally comes up.
This controller alleviates some of that pain
by adding a mode switch on the back.
On the previous Pro+ you had to hold Start and Y
to enter switch mode. Windows, Android, and iOS,
all had different corresponding face buttons.
You expect me to remember all those.
There was also no indication
what mode you were currently in.
Now it's as easy as just flipping the switch.
You have Nintendo Switch, Apple DInput and XInput.
XInput is for Windows and Android.
DInput is for like old. I don't know it's
just probably don't worry about it. Other than all that
the only other real difference is it's enhanced grip
which is really just a textured back
similar to the textured back
of the new DualSense controller.
Other than that, this controller feels exactly the same
as the old SN30 Pro+ controller.
Switching between the two reveals that the face buttons
feel more responsive on the newer one.
Maybe it's because it's newer
and I used the shit out of my old one.
It's hard to tell.
- Oh no. - Hit the button, dude.
I think this controller.
(upbeat game music)
You know, I'll try, I'll try the top ones.
The buttons, the build quality, everything feels the same.
The Pro 2 comes in gray, black and GB edition.
I pre-ordered myself the Game Boy looking one
so I'll be getting that one when it eventually comes out.
But 8BitDo sent me their gray edition one, which looks like
it's attempting to resemble a PlayStation 1 controller.
It's an okay design. The A, B, X, Y buttons
colored like PlayStation buttons is like unsettling.
It's like a sin. The strongest design that they have
is definitely the Game Boy looking at one.
8BitDo used to have controllers that looked almost exactly
like Super Nintendo and N.E.S controllers,
but I'm sure they strayed away from that
so that they weren't bullied by Nintendo's lawyers.
It's also probably why they don't have
a Super Nintendo looking one at all anymore.
But I mean, the feel of the controller
is more important than anything else. And for 2D games,
there's nothing better than this,
until you find your Lord and Savior keyboard keys baby.
So if you haven't yet picked yourself up a 8BitDo controller
now might be the time to make the jump.
$5 extra for the back buttons,
the updated Ultimate software, the mode switch,
the custom profiles that can switch on the fly.
Yeah, I'd say it's worth it to get this version
over the original or Pro. Now is it worth upgrading to
if you already have an original SN30 Pro+.
That I'm not sure about.
Maybe if yours is starting to feel like shitty.
I know mine started to feel like
a little unresponsive, I guess.
I don't know how to describe it other than
it just got shitty and then I had to buy a new one.
But if you're perfectly content with your original SN30 Pro+
then it's probably not worth dropping an extra $50
on a brand new controller. It's like 90% the same controller
and about 10% new hotness. Or maybe I'm sure
you could find a way to justify it.
Maybe you could teach your grandma how to do Kaizo Mario.
What do you guys think about the brand new 8BitDo Pro 2?
It's a lot easier to say at this time.
Is this gonna make you finally make the jump
into getting an 8BitDo controller? Or it's something that
you would consider upgrading to from the original?
I don't think you really need to
unless like yours got like old crappy.
If you have a Nintendo Switch Pro controller already,
and you find yourself playing way more 2D games
this might be worth getting in addition to.
I mean it's like a second,
you get a second player with it to.
Leave in the comments below, add me on Twitter
and all this social media garbage.
As always we have new videos here all the time,
at least once a week.
This week, I think you're getting two, lucky you.
And we got streams over on twitch.tv/wulffden
where we can hang out and chat with each other
about stuff like this. Look at that.
Make sure you turn on notifications for all of that stuff
so you know, when we go live
'cause you can't rely on YouTube or Twitch to tell you.
But of course the most important thing right now
is just subscribe. Thank you.
I appreciate you for wanting to watch these videos.
And share this video with a friend.
A friend who maybe hasn't gotten
one of these controllers yet and it's still stuck
with the freaking regular role Pro controller.
Or maybe they're using the freaking split Joy-Cons
like a real, degenerate.
(gentle music)
Thank you. Have a good week.

Alright so a lady said she called the insurance company and they said they wont cover a thing.
This is true. Many insurance companies do not covet flood damage. This is because insurance companies are greedy.
American Modern, my insurance company and one I use personally does.
Now if you dont want to change your entire insurance that is understandable. However everyone should have flood insurance which is sold seperate.
Googling flood insurance is more help than this website when PURCHASING but it explains flood insurance like the 30 day waiting period that covers
So people in Michigan like this lady are sold out of luck.
Flood insurance is usually $100 or less per year.
We have designed a flood insurance policy that will cost $1000 for 2020 IF you have been flooded already such as Houston and such as this lady. Then it will go down to $29 per year. Tree will post the link and more information after i post. First i will ramble on.
In New Mexico it is the law if we are in a flood zone we must have flood insurance if we have a mortgage. Some banks require it in other states. I live within a miles of the Rio Grande River and thus I am required flood insurance and every year when my insurance updated, i would get a letter from Wells Fargo who is dumb and they would say that i needed flood insurance. Because they didn't read the premium notification that it is included in American Modern. The first year i called myself. The second i called the local insurance office I got the insurance from, went in and explained the problem. She said she would cuss them out. Next year same again. So i called and she said "again?!" She gets really mad. And whatever she said worked because they never sent me another letter.
So I know about having it...
Now y'all check your insurance and see if you have flood covered I'll pay every one $5 regarding insurance today.
Renters should have insurance also and Tree has a website for y'all for $5 - 79 per year.
Yes per year. I pay $1000 about and nothing happens! So why charge so much?!!? Lets not be so greedy!! I only cover $92,000 on my house. Not millions. It's a trailer in town on a small plot of land. I paid $82k and now it's worth as a regular home because Facebook moved to town $160k but because it's mine and celebrity ststus it's worth, $800k substantially. So i don't cover all that but i do have other insurance policies up to $1M that i don't pay the policy for they in the CIA database and because i own the insurance company that i use, i get $1M of free coverage per home I cover with that company. Which then harms our pocket book when things happen and I have to use the policy and make a claim.
So now, the point is. Y'all need insurance for now in case something should occur. For emergency areas or disaster areas where people were uncovered we will be proactive and use our hundreds of Billions of dollars collected on insurance premiums to help Y'all out for this year. The website will list who will be covered retroactively. Meaning you didn't have, insurance but pay a high premium and we will, pay whatever it is to restore your home or buy you a new one.
Premium will be $1000 to $5000 for what is labeled as flood insurance. So a little house like mine to a big mansion.
It is high but if my house was damaged it would cost 20k to repair or at least $5k So i would save $4k and we will include damage already done like plumbing and electrical. So if you had damage to those prior to flooding we will repair. Floors will probably be covered on flood damage I do assume. Furniture replacements of low average cost so about $1500 for a couch, loveseat and chair. $200 for TV. And so on.
If you have proof you had a monster of a TV then you can post pictures and get 100% replacement value. Otherwise you'll get the $200 which can buy a 47" LED non smart on sale.
Reciepts of furniture and so on will give you full replacement cost. Otherwise its average low cost... Good quality still. Talking like a discount furniture store. Or online furniture purchase.
So talking receipts because "but Sabrina! Its a flood and you're telling me to save paper and the ink fades!"
No, baby, take a photo of your receipt and upload it to the cloud in s special labeled folder titled "receipts" then you'll always have them.
So say you pay $5000 for a TV 10 years ago. So,that T.V. today will may be cost about $1500 so you get the replacement cost. Not the $5000 you paid but what it cost to replace it. So you'll get the same exact thing at the store. But say it was plasma. And they don't sell that any more. So its the same size and smart capable and LED which is better than what you had but cheaper. So don't freak out. You'll get enough money to buy again what you bought.
Insurance can be kind of confusing but it's today's prices for yesteryear's items
They keep up to date on prices. There's teams dedicated to knowing, exactly what items, cost. They would, win killings on the Price is Right. In fact they're banned from participating.
So get y'all $5 to LOOK at your current premiums and how much they are and what it covers.
If you have insurance and you need flood $5 to get that ASAP.
$5 for renters to check out insurance and $5 to buy.
Same for homeowners without insurance.
American Home and Geico will now offer 15% less automatically to what they usually charge. So it's on an auto 15% less for the next year no coupon or announcements. So until May 20, 2021 the charge will be 15% less than They would usually charge. For your safety and convenience.
American Home doesn't do commercials so its already cheaper. Lower overhead cost. Just by $10 - 200 per year.
Also for the retroactive flood. We will do payment arrangements. So like me i don't have $1000. So you pay $50 until you get to $1000 (Or $5k whatever it is) but we won't work on your house or give you money until your premium is full. Except when on EBT AND Medicaid. Show proof of income. We will check with social security to see if you've lied and if not we can omit your premium and deductible from your pay out. So say its a $2000 premium with $500 deductible and you're out of work. Social security can tell us that and then we can give you the $1,500,000 MINUS 2500.
People marked on SMS:BrightGady and their homes will be rejected for insurance coverage on retroactive. Find the ass hole idiot that damaged your home on purpose and collect from them.
We are only covering INNOCENT HUMANS. So if you got DNA4U to prove that you are, you KNOW you can get the retroactive coverage. If you don't have DNA4U then you can try and see.
There is no hotline available to call and whine you're an alien or terrorist that can't get coverage
After a person is approved, obviously of course, phone numbers will be available.
As for the flood -- PREVIOUS damage about a year ago was done to the dams. But this overage and failure was due to simply too much rain water.
So I apologize on the behalf of myself and tree. And we will do this insurance for y'all although it is not our fault, we just apologize that there's inconsiderate ass holes that have not died of COVID yet. And this occurred.
Hopefully family heirlooms or special items to the heart which are not replaceable are magically protected by love. And you'll be able to find them to be in a good condition, surviving the floods.
Im sorry for the pain of the floods..
Chicago and Houston and some other places globally. And also Australia and the Amazon Rain Forest Fire Victims can apply for retroactive insurance.
