i refuse to believe that boycotting is hard. my favourite thing in the world is ordering maccies after a late night at work/a concert/getting drunk. yes i do miss it sometimes. but the other night i ordered from a small place near my house instead and it was the most orgasmic burger i've ever had in my life. i very rarely say this but fucking suck it up people are DEAD

"ruthlessness" is a devastating song, no argument, but just how devastating it is always gives me goosebumps when i listen to it. i love that jay understands that silence can be as powerful as sound, and that's what really drives the loss of his men home, for me.
think about it; 600 men on a dozen ships initially, so that's about 50 people per ship. the 43 men left are solely on odysseus's vessel.
the men screaming his name, the wind roaring, and suddenly, everyone is gone. the silence is so loud. so final.
it's not like they fell overboard, and are screaming for help in the waves. they're gone immediately, and the sudden silence is so chilling.

I just realized,
It's crazy how Voice of the Hero, the representation of our Will and Agency, immediately notices the lack of agency of The Damsel.

Why does Dale want to hunt fairies? What made him believe in them? He's a full gown adult and is hunting them. I know Mr Crockers case, is Dale different the same?
Generally speaking Dale believes in whatever he thinks will make him money. He probably saw something online offering absurd amounts of money in exchange for proof of fairies and figured even if he couldn't find anything he could get chatGPT to write a book about his experience for him and make money anyway.
After he shot Dev he was going to call it quits altogether, too much headache when he can make profit so many other ways. At least until Flowers put him through an undeniably supernatural experience that is.

(🪽 First Falin is actually The Red Dragon in her body, if you can't tell)
ID under cut:
(PHOTO ID: A 4 panel comic all starring Dungeon Meshi characters. Falin has her post canon neck feathers in each depiction. The first is "Regular Couple" with The Red Dragon, fronting in Falin's body, and he's cuddling with a happy Marcille. Second is "Yaoi Couple" with Kabru and Laois kissing each other. Third is "Yuri Couple" with regular Falin holding up Marcille's face, both inches away from one another. Last is Falin giving a thumbs up to the camera, with the text "I See No Difference, I Am Nearsighted. END ID)

Like no, it isn't problematic to like Magneto, and no, most writers actually don't write Magneto with intent of him being a Zionist or based on a Zionist, and no I don't think Magneto is a Zionist in the present day. But it's impossible to separate Claremont's intentions from that era of the character's history, when he EXPLICITLY STATED that he based his characterization of Magneto on Menachem Begin and was inspired to do so while he himself was living in Israel, especially when that particular era was what popularized Magneto as a character and is the most well-known version of the character. You can like a character and examine the problematic aspects of a character's history. And we all know Claremont has shitty politics that he incorporated into his writing all the time, I don't understand why it's beyond the realm of belief that this would also apply to his writing of Magneto...

'wow beetlebabes shippers have NO media literacy didn't they see how TRAUMATIZED Lydia was by her past with Beetlejuice????!? she's literally TERRIFIED OF HIm omg yall are SO DUMB'
I mean...she literally summoned him again to get his help and then brought up marriage within 10 secs of doing that and, at worst, just seemed mildly annoyed by the idea/him. See, I think if you actually have unbiased media literacy, you can recognize that Lydia's issues don't stem from Beetlejuice specifically, she isn't inherently frightened of him (and to suggest so is to completely misunderstand and infantilize her character imo, she never was frightened of him give me a fucking break lol) so much as she is by the reminder of her inherent connection to the afterlife, which ironically she's trying to fight against despite having a successful show about it. Like, again yall, it's fine if you don't like the pairing. It's fine if it grosses you out. What is wholly unnecessary is the suggestion that people who do like it are somehow media illiterate or just 'not as smart as you' or just not getting some elusive concept that only super intelligent moral people can for not also thinking it's gross. You aren't smarter, you just have a different preference for interpreting and enjoying the story. There was a time more people understood that concept.
And not for nothing, but despite your HIGH INTELLIGENCE some of yall still don't know how to tag your anti posts so they don't show up in the shipping tag- though I kind of suspect that's on purpose to try to start shit where there doesn't need to be any, but still, show me how so much smarter you are than me by censoring beetlebabes in a hater post just once challenge (level: impossible)

What did/do you like about Pharah?
Uh, gameplay-wise, I really love characters in shooters who rely on three-dimensional movement techs. Chaining together hover and jump to stay in the air for as long as possible and keep momentum is so satisfying, and picking enemies off from the sky made me feel like a bird of prey. I was a good Pharah main.
Story-wise, there unfortunately isn't much to canonically go off because Pharah is so underutilized and neglected. Her personality's pretty boilerplate "heroic hero" (she's literally inspired by Captain America).
But it's the crumbs/bits and pieces that I really latched onto. Pharah's a confirmed lesbian; her short story with Baptiste implies she harbors a crush on Mercy (fucking thank you.). She's biracial Egyptian/First Nations. She has major mommy issues, having grown up both admiring and resenting Ana. She's the bridge between Old Overwatch, inspired by the idealized heroes who surrounded her childhood, and New Overwatch. She's one of the only inter-generational characters in the cast; someone whose experiences span the gap, which is why I seriously believe Pharah would make a great main character.
There isn't much to go off of, though; she's a very uncomplicated character (she's a soldier for a private military corporation, lol.). But that just means she's a blank slate character, so I've seen fanfic writers run wild and create some really interesting takes on her. My favorite interpretation of her's a dense, herbo gym-bro type (a lot of her liens are about work outs, exercising, and playing sports) who's easily excitable under her seemingly self-serious, armored visage. We see how she tends to gloat and hype herself up when she's on a streak too, so Pharah definitely has a competitive and boastful side under her more professional and militant performance.
Now Mercy? Mercy is a real complex character.
