I was sooo disappointed at Uzumaki ep2 😭 Not just cause of the major dip in animation quality but the fact that they crammed like 4-5 chapters in one episode (that were all now happening simultaneously for some reason, like Kirie getting her hair cut by Shuichi (CH6) THEN immediatelly after the snails escape (CH8) and THEN after that Kazunori and Yoriko coil up like snakes and escape into the sea (CH5)) and the fact that the Lighthouse part ends (CH9, which lands Kirie in the hospital) even though we never even conclude the Jack-In-The-Box (CH7) story OR Shuichi's mom in the hospital story (CH2)? Just so weird and disorientating 😭 Like why is this all happening at the same time??? Why was Mitsuru not hypnotized by Kirie's spiral hair? (in the manga this chapter happened right after Medusa, when her hair has already been cut short...) I felt like I was going crazy watching it, just too much happening at the same time, I get it's only 4 episodes but man 😭 Sorry for rambling in your asks oops

DON’T BE SORRY i’ve had my rants and vents about uzumaki to my friends (they’re all tired of me) AND I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! i really really would prefer they just pick and choose a couple of the more important chapters rather than cramping ALL chapters in 4 episodes… with each episode’s run time around 20 minutes… that’s overkill 😭

part of me truly don’t wanna criticize bc it’s so painful tbfh like we waited for 5 YEARS dude…. KASHDKDJDJK even in the first episode, the pacing is kinda overstimulating to me too 😭 too much is happening, but moreover in episode 2…. Part of why i like uzumaki is the suspense of each events happening, the anime felt like it’s just showing us the most shocking panel without the build up, which kinda fell flat atleast for me 💀

I heard the first episode’s staff is back on episode 4 yeah?? I hope they did this scene justice…

I started reading the heavens blessing whatever book ( forgetting how it named in three languages) after three years of promising to read it i really know like 3 guys from it, thats how unhelpful the fandom is! Nobody told me that it is actually funny! That it starts with the guy joining a discord server voice chat that he's been twice banned from and people are like "awwkwaard" and ling wen is like " you literally just broke two very expensive things by clicking in. how the hell." and he' like "this is not even top thirty things happened to me this week" and server owner is nonchalantly like "now that you are here again can you head this destiny raid for me? im busy". And then a server mod tries to trick people into joining his raid. It is so funny. And then ( i ASSUME) those two guys who were friends with titular guy before he was banned rename their accounts to pretend they are new people to join him. Id like the books be all whatever this is, not what fandom makes me think its about

what kingdom hearts needs to do is to rip off skyward sword with the timeshift stone mechanic where you wander through the ruins of some place, but within a limited radius of these magic stones/devices (some of which are portable), the area itself gets sent back in time to an ancient era where everything is alive/functional/etc. like the edges of two different timezones if you will are touching. so you can see into the long-dead past right in front of you

Lost Footage: Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods in the 1st US National Tour of Legally Blonde the Musical

This is the last 22 mins of the show and the only known video footage of LBB playing Elle in the US tour!

What is of particular interest to me is that this includes LBB's performance of the ballad without the door. I personally believe that there should be a door (a physical barrier) between Elle and Emmett when this song is performed so that Elle can't hear Emmett confess his love for her (the way it was played on Broadway). In the US tour version, Emmett confesses directly to Elle in the room, and she hears him.

However, I think that LBB's performance of this doorless version is quite beautiful. There are two distinct pauses she make during this piece (the music even stops with her). The first time is to touch D.B. Bonds' face (Emmett) with one hand (similar to how she touches Christian Borle's face before escaping into her room in the Broadway version). The second pause is to cradle his face with both of her hands before pulling him into a hug.

Even though I will always be a proponent of having the door during the ballad, I really love LBB's take in this performance. It is truly the only version of it that I like so far, and I actually kinda wish we could see her do this specific performance with Christian Borle.
