"Mad Woman"
ok yall im out of school now! this was rushed so don't judge, when i write i just pour out whatever's in my head, that's why it's almost always rushed. i feel like if i don't write it, it'll disappeare! also to everyone hating in my asks, NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ MY WORK!!!! hating does nothing but discourage me and lower my already non-existent confidence in my writing. pls leave me alone, if you don't have anything nice to say; don't say anything. i LOVE all my positive asks and comments, they make my day. don't ruin it for me.
Six months, that's how long it's been since Bruce exiled you to New York and left you alone once again. It's been 387 days since Tiffany Maverick pulled the rug from beneath your feet and ensnared your family in her web of lies and manipulation. For six months, your family ignored you, only Alfred sending you the occasional care package which you promptly threw in the garbage.
You wish Tiffany and Damian were as content with ignoring you as the rest of the family but unfortunately, they went out of their way to rub their closeness in your face by sending you pictures of family movie night, family game night, and the family attending their school events. It made you angry at first, before you saw how funny it was. A family of billionaires, a family of detectives, a family of vigilantes, sitting next to a spy; obliviously feeding her insider information. The Batman, sitting grinning ear to ear next to a girl who could be his downfall.
Surprisingly, boarding school was amazing. The boys were hot, though most arrogant and dumb, they were all loaded and into you. The girls idolized you from the moment you walked in, your word was law around here and the power felt amazing. You decided what was in and out, who was hot and who was not; a huge difference and change of pace from the years of bullying and ridicule at Gotham Prep.
The charm came with your new abilities, most likely. Sure, the first two months were fucking painful and exposed you to pain you didn't think was possible but it was a small price to pay. It was nothing for the power of being able to charm and flirt your way out of just about anything, being able to eject venom with the slightest trace of your fresh set of acrylics, being able to literally bite people with your fangs and have them enjoy it, sensing heat signatures and feeling emotions and eyes on you, having the ability to give literal bone-crushing hugs, and so many things you haven't even discovered.
Not to mention your random overnight makeover! Suddenly, your figure was to die for, perfect in all senses of the word. Your skin gleamed and shimmered in the light, long shed away were all the blemishes and scars. Your hair always shiny and your teeth always pearly white, albeit a bit sharp. You're the image of beauty.
Who cares about the price when the product was this good anyway?
Who needed familial love when everyone here worshipped you? That new view and utter hatred for the family is what convinced you to accept Ariele, your boarding school bff and roomie,'s offer to spend summer break with her family in the south of france. Of course, you wanted to go back to manor for a week before meeting her there. Alfred asked you to come and though you were angry at him, you missed the old man. You swore to yourself that you'd only stay the night, catch up with Alfred, and ignore your 'family' then promptly spend the summer half naked, tanning on a super yacht with your girls.
Little did you know that you'd never make it to france, in fact, you wouldn't even make it out the manor now that Tim discovered the truth and told the rest of the family.
Tim Drake noticed things. Small things. Minute details that other people might overlook. That's how he found the truth.
It started with the cooking. Tiffany had casually mentioned one evening that she’d found some old recipes in the manor’s archives, recipes that you had once written down, hoping to impress Damian with Arabic dinners and desserts. Tiffany had barely glanced at the handwritten notes before she had offered to make dinner that night—a perfect replica of your signature stuffed cabbage leaves, Malfoof, as you called it.
Tim had been there when it happened. He’d recognized it immediately. The dish was one of your favorites, one you had made for family dinners. It was too familiar, too precise for Tiffany, it lacked the usual love and effort.
Then came the awards. It was subtle at first, too. Tiffany casually dropping that she had “entered a local baking competition” and how much fun it had been to win. Tim had known that you had been the one to actually win that competition the year before, he remembered rolling his eyes as you foolishly tried to impress him. But when he checked the award Tiffany had won? It looked eerily similar to the one that you had earned. Tiffany didn’t even bother hiding her gloating as she showed it off, calling it “another step toward making Gotham proud.”
Tim’s stomach churned. It wasn’t a coincidence. Tiffany was stealing your life and he was the only one that saw it. Who knows what else she was stealing.
The pieces clicked into place when he found the old photo albums. Tiffany had been snooping around the library one afternoon, pulling out albums that had been tucked away in the back, ones that hadn’t been touched in years. They were full of memories of your achievements, pictures of family vacations, awards won for charity work and academic excellence. Baby photo's, old camera's, journals, even old clothes. It wasn’t just admiration. It was an obsession.
He saw her dig through and read every one of your old entries, saw her stare at pictures and attempt to manuever her body how you stood, but what really creeped him out was when she started tracing over your handwriting.
Tim couldn’t let it go. This was insane. It was almost as if Tiffany wanted to wear your skin.
It wasn’t that he wanted to make Tiffany an enemy or villainize her, quite the opposite actually, he'd been ignoring her strange behavior and smell for a year now because of how fond he was of her. But this? This was crossing a line. She wasn’t just trying to fit in anymore, this was dangerous.
He now suspected there was more to Tiffany than just her obsession with your life and after putting the pieces together, it was becoming clear: Tiffany was playing a much deeper game. She wasn’t just trying to steal your identity, she was stealing information, too.
Tim’s investigative skills had been honed through years of being the tech guy of the Batfamily, and when something felt off, he didn’t ignore it. Not anymore, he started tracking small anomalies—times when Tiffany’s presence seemed too convenient, moments when crucial data about Gotham’s underworld went missing from the Batcomputer, or when confidential mission details were leaked through channels Tim knew the Batfamily didn’t use. Times when the Joker seemed to know the family's course of action and times when villains knew Duke's plans.
That’s when it clicked.
Tiffany wasn’t just trying to fit in with the family. She was spying. Her affections with the family were a cover for something darker. She had been gathering intelligence for a shadowy organization, feeding them vital information about their operations. This was bigger than him—this was a full-blown infiltration. Tiffany was working for someone else, someone dangerous.
Tiffany’s betrayal ran deep, and her spying wasn’t just about information anymore; it was personal. She had been stealing pieces of your life, your successes, your talents , your family. She had slowly taken everything that you had worked for and twisted it into her own false narrative. It was sickening.
Tim couldn’t stand it anymore. He had dug through encrypted files, tracked hidden transmissions, and pieced together cryptic conversations. Tiffany wasn’t just trying to steal your identity for the sake of becoming the perfect family member. No. She was mimicking your cooking and baking skills, down to the awards she had won for those very talents. She had been trying to erase you and replace you with a manufactured version of herself.
It was almost too much for Tim to handle. But there was something even worse lurking beneath the surface: the deeper he dug, the more it became clear that Tiffany wasn’t just feeding information to criminals. She had been feeding off your spirit, your presence and she had nearly replaced you entirely.
Now he just needed to tell the other.
The tension in the Batcave could be cut with a knife as Tim stood before Bruce, Dick, Jason, Damian, Duke, Cass, Steph, Barbara, and Alfred, ready to show them what he had discovered.
“I’ve been tracking Tiffany’s movements for the last few days,” Tim began, his voice low but sharp. “And I found something that’s... unsettling.”
Bruce, who had been scanning a mission report, looked up with interest. Dick turned to Tim, a puzzled expression on his face. Alfred stepped forward, his usual composed demeanor now replaced with a rare concern. Even Damian looked confused.
“What did you find, Master Tim?” Alfred asked, his tone calm, but there was a flicker of unease in his eyes.
Tim didn’t hesitate. He clicked a button on the computer, and the large screen behind him flickered to life. A series of encrypted files appeared—mission logs, surveillance footage, and even intercepted communications. The Batcave was suffocating in its silence as Tim presented the evidence to Bruce, Dick, Jason, Alfred, and the others. His fingers flew over the keyboard, and every new image, every new file, felt like a punch in the gut.
There was a long silence as everyone processed the information. Bruce’s usual stoic expression faltered for a moment, and Dick clenched his fists. The weight of the revelation was hitting hard, but it wasn’t just the betrayal that hurt. It was that someone in their midst had been pulling the strings behind their backs for a year.
The data was damning. It was all there, proof that Tiffany had been copying your recipes, your designs, your machines, even stealing the culinary awards that you had earned over the years. And on top of that, she had been siphoning critical Batfamily intel to an unknown organisation. The information was so sensitive, it could have jeopardized every single one of them.
“Do you see it now?” Tim’s voice was quieter, but his anger was unmistakable. He flicked the last file onto the screen. Tiffany’s false accomplishments, stolen directly from you. The stolen recipes. The mission intel sent out from the Batcomputer under her watch. “All of us have been blind to it.”
“About a month ago,” Tim said, “I found an odd encryption pattern in the Batcomputer—something I’ve never seen before. When I decrypted it, I found a set of mission details. Ones that shouldn’t have left the system. I traced the origin back to Tiffany.”
Alfred's face tightened as he took in the footage on the screen. It was a recording of Tiffany accessing classified Batfamily data, tapping into their most sensitive files.
“She’s been stealing information,” Tim continued, his voice gaining intensity. “Every single time she’s interacted with the Batcomputer, she’s been sending that data out to an unknown address. I can't track where it's coming from, it's too advanced; even for me.
“Impossible,” Bruce muttered, but his eyes were narrowing in disbelief. “Why would she—?”
“Because she’s a spy,” Tim interrupted, “and it gets worse. She’s been feeding them everything. Our weaknesses, our next moves, our schedules. She’s not just a mole in the manor. She’s been working against us this whole time. She's why so many missions have failed.Tim’s eyes narrowed. “It’s not just the family’s accomplishments she’s been stealing. She’s been getting close to each of us, using our trust. She knows things, personal things, and she’s been leaking that information. She’s been feeding it to the highest bidder, giving Gotham’s worst players a playbook for taking us down.”
Dick’s face twisted with disbelief. “She was pretending to be (y/n), taking her accomplishments as her own, but—” He trailed off, his voice faltering. “How could we have let this happen? How did we not notice?”
Jason’s voice cut through the heavy silence, rough and sharp, like a crack of thunder. He stepped forward, fists clenched. “I should’ve known. She’s been playing everyone, pretending like she’s all sweet and innocent, but she was using all of us.” Jason’s eyes flicked to the screen, then back at Tim, his face a mask of fury. “She lied to me. She’s been lying to all of us. And she’s been trying to replace her.” His hand slammed onto the table, and the anger in his voice was unmistakable. “She doesn’t belong here. We trusted her. We all trusted her.” Jason’s anger bubbled over. This betrayal, the way Tiffany had wormed her way into their lives, made him see red
He couldn’t keep it in any longer. “I should’ve known,” Jason spat, pacing in circles, his fists clenched tight at his sides. “I let her get close to me. I let her in, we all did! And now look at this. She’s been pretending to be everything she’s not. She’s been trying to take her place, her rightful place in this family!”
Alfred, who had been silent until now, cleared his throat, his voice filled with quiet but growing fury. “I should have seen it,” he muttered, his gaze darkening. “I was too lenient with her. I allowed her to slip through the cracks, to play at being part of this family. I should have known better.” His usually calm demeanor was cracking, and the regret in his voice was palpable.
Bruce’s lips pressed into a thin line as the weight of Tim’s words sank in. His eyes hardened as he stared at the screen, disappointment creeping into his features. Tiffany had been their guest, their supposed family, and this whole time, she had been playing them all. You had tried to warn them.
Duke, who had been standing quietly at the back of the room, spoke up. His voice was low but steady.
“I knew something was off,” Duke said, his eyes fixed on the screen. “I couldn’t put my finger on it, but... she’d been acting weird around me. Always asking questions—asking about the family, the missions, everything. I thought I was paranoid.”
Damian had always been fiercely protective of what he considered his, no one could ever doubt that. He mocked you, saw you as his pathetic bastard older sister, he had wanted to hurt you. But now, as the reality of Tiffany’s betrayal settled in, something darker began to take root inside him. He remember your unconditional love for him, how you took everything he said did to you with grace and compassion. He remembered how good you were to him. He noticed that everything he thought he loved about Tiffany was what she stole from you. His eyes burned with rage as he thought about how Tiffany had wormed her way into the family and his heart, how she’d stolen your accomplishments, and how she’d attempted to erase his sibling from the very fabric of their world.
She was trying to replace her. That thought alone made his fists tighten, nails biting into his palms.
It had been a long time since Damian had felt this kind of protective rage. He was the blood of the Wayne family, the one who deserved to be at the center of it all, but you; his blood sibling, his equal, had always been ignored, undervalued ridiculed and neglected. And now Tiffany, a mere interloper, had dared to manipulate and tear him away from you.
Damian watched the family, his gaze flicking to each of them as they tried to process the betrayal. The anger from his family was palpable, but there was something else there too: possessiveness. Protectiveness. regret. They weren’t just angry at Tiffany for what she had done to you, they were furious at themselves for pushing you away and leaving you alone and unprotected in New York.
You were his responsibility, his blood, and no one; not even Tiffany, was going to steal you away from him. He had always wanted to prove his superiority to the others, but now that wasn’t his focus. His attention was fixed solely on bringing you back to him, where you belonged.
Cass, who had been silently observing, nodded. Her face was unreadable, but the tension in her jaw told Tim that she, too, had been sensing something wrong for weeks.
Steph, ever the sharp observer, had her arms crossed over her chest, her usual sarcasm now tempered with a cold seriousness. “I knew she wasn’t perfect, but this? This is next-level crazy. Are you sure bout this Time?” She leaned forward, her voice suddenly harder.
Barbra was too shocked to say anything. This was not how today was supposed to go.
Alfred glanced toward Bruce. “Master Bruce,” he said softly, “the level of infiltration, this is something I never anticipated. We should have seen the signs.”
Bruce’s expression was steely. “We were too distracted, too willing to accept her presence as part of the family. We let our guard down.”
“That’s not just her fault,” Dick interjected. “We’ve all been too trusting. Especially with everything that happened with (y/n).” His voice hardened as he glanced at the screen again, eyes flicking to Tim. “What now? What do we do about it?”
Tim stepped forward, his fingers hovering over the keyboard. “I’ve already notified our allies. The information she’s passed is enough to give this organization an upper hand in Gotham, maybe beyond. She hasn't revealed our identities but she might soon. we can’t let her get away with it. She’s been playing us this whole time.”
Steph threw her hands up in exasperation. “So what, we just let her go? She’s been lying to us, manipulating us for months! ?”
Tim’s eyes were cold, calculating. “We’ll have to trap her. Use the information she’s already stolen to set her up. Once we confront her, we’ll make sure she doesn’t get away.”
Bruce’s fists were clenched at his sides, his jaw set in stone. He had failed [Y/N]—he had failed his child. The weight of that was too much for him to bear. “This ends now. We’re going to fix this.”

dabi and dumbification 🤝 - mdni
he likes how smart you are, actually prefers you a little mean, but nothing, absolutely nothing, turns him on like watching his smart girl go stupid on his dick
actually lives for the moment when he witnesses your mind go slack and give in to him—he’s big on control and trust, so knowing that you’re essentially putting your whole person in his hands is everything to him
“aww, you like being my little cocksleeve, don’t ya sweet thing?” he snarls, teeth against your neck, one hand hot on your hip. “no one’s ever fucked the words right outta that pretty mouth, I can tell”
loves the feeling of overpowering you so completely that he’s overwriting your very senses. you’re babbling out his name, tears pricking your eyes at the press of pleasure/pain swirling in your gut. hell, you can’t even beg him anymore, you’re so far gone—
“fuck, this slutty little pussy’s squeezin’ me so tight.” smacks your ass as he bullies his cock into you, smirks at the fucked-out whine that falls from your lips. “bet I can get another one out of you, huh baby? you still know how?” said with that infuriating smirk on his face
edges himself the entire time he’s making you cum
“where do you want it? here?” feral grin on his face while pressing down on your lower stomach, your frantic little nod bobbing up and down. “who am I to deny you?”
probably receives noise complaints from every lov member

I hate to say this but this was not my 4 - 8 experience, I had some friends and there was some common ground, but there was a lot of ostracism and bullying too mostly on account of me being viewed as effeminate except when I was talking about war or combat which did not feel great as a transfem egg yknow. I just assumed it was all misogyny and not that it was also misogyny directed towards me. somewhere around 2nd or 3rd grade I saw the girls getting chased by guys and their journals being stolen and dirt thrown at them and the next grade after they're dating like it didn't happen and that was just. at the same time as seeing and being taught misogyny and fighting it tooth and nail because it was so plainly wrong to autistic about gender and power dynamics me it was just so weird. (bear in mind I was not immune, I had this weird idea by the time I reached middle school that I shouldn't wear jeans because they would mark me as a girl and thus I'd be bullied more. sigh I have definitely had some hug and comfort the inner child from those days moments).
I was treated as weird, as effeminate, for being compassionate, for being emotional, for expressing love. I was born in 1997 in the USA, mind you.
There was this one kid in first grade or second who would hit me on the head with a pencil in class repeatedly every day and the admin didn't want to anything about it and tried to blame me for the bullying. This is one of several reasons why my parents had my sibling and I learn martial arts, was because of the stuff we went through.
However- I do believe that when kids are not subjected to violent, hierarchic socialization as much, the compassion most of us have as babies can survive (there have been a lot of studies over the decades on how babies cry empathically/compassionately in response to other babies crying) and those of us who don't have that have more of a chance to learn it.
As for gender... bioessentialism can get ingrained very early on and then has to be unlearned if that happens. We don't agree with everything about the Scandinavian model of socialism (in part because it is still very hierarchic), Iceland has wisely decided that they should restructure pre-k education (which is you know, available as part of the public education system, which is a good thing) so that kids get to do activities that are associated with one oppositional binary gender role or the other one half of the day, and then the other ones the other half of the day.
If we tried to institute that here in the USA in 2025 I dunno what would happen. It was hard enough to get comprehensive gender education passed in the states that have signed it into law in the last decade and Congress over the last several decades has been abysmal when it came to passing the Equal Rights Amendment from the 70s, which is to say they didn't because patriarchic bs. But someday, when the bioessentialists continued decline and the rise of solidarity reaches a point where reactionaries no longer have a way to get into power, we might see that. And they are declining in terms of their grip on people, everything about this decade in terms of the far right reads as desperation
watching children successfully and compassionately self-mediate conflict and wondering if it's possible to pinpoint where exactly it all goes wrong for us

“What we know so far is that the unsub is male, most likely in his mid to late thirties. He lives a very ordinary life,” you say, glancing around the room as you deliver your profile. Your eyes lock briefly with Aaron’s, who gives a subtle nod of encouragement. “He was subject to bullying in high school, likely due to being socially awkward or standing out in some way. This has led to deep-seated insecurities and an inability to maintain long-term relationships. His current behaviour indicates an attempt to regain control and dominance he feels he was deprived of.”
As you continue with your analysis, movement in the corner of the room draws your attention. An officer leans toward his companion, muttering something under his breath that earns a chuckle. His eyes drag over you with an unprofessional intensity, and his smirk lingers, making your stomach churn with unease. You furrow your brows slightly but push the distraction aside, refocusing on the case at hand.
The meeting stretches on, but finally, it concludes. Your fellow agents begin filtering out of the room, exchanging quiet remarks as they leave, while the remaining officers follow suit. You stay behind, methodically removing photos and notes from the whiteboard, organizing them into a neat stack.
The sound of your heels tapping against the floor fills the empty space as you turn, only to pull up short when you nearly collide with someone. Your pulse stutters as you recognise the same officer from before, standing too close, his expression dark with something you cant quite place.
“Oh! I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise anyone was still here,” you say, stepping back instinctively.
He doesn’t budge. Instead, his lips curl into a sneer. “So, who are you filling in for today?”
Your frown deepens. “I’m not sure what you mean, sir. This is my job.”
His eyes narrow, and he takes a deliberate step forward, forcing you back against the whiteboard. “You don’t have to be so coy, doll,” he says, voice dripping with condescension. “Come on, who’d you suck off to get here?”
The crude words hit you like a slap. Your breath hitches, and you instinctively press your palms flat against the board behind you, trying to create distance. “Sir, I’m not sure this is an appropriate discussion to be having,” you say, voice tightening, your eyes darting toward the door.
Before you can react further, a sudden movement to your left makes you start. A firm hand grips the officer’s shoulder and wrenches him backward with force. “That’s enough,” Aaron’s voice slices through the tension like a knife.
The officer stumbles slightly but rights himself, his face twisting in surprise and then indignation as he looks up at Aaron’s imposing figure. Aaron steps forward, placing himself between you and the officer, his dark eyes cold and unwavering.
“What the hell, man—” the officer starts, straightening his shoulders.
“You’re done here,” Aaron interrupts, his voice calm but lethal. “If I ever see you speak to anyone on my team like that again, you’ll be answering to much more than just me. Is that clear?”
The officer’s mouth opens and closes, but the weight of Aaron’s glare pins him in place. He mutters something under his breath before turning on his heel and stalking out of the room.
As the door swings shut behind him, you exhale a shaky breath, still pressed against the board. Aaron turns to you, his expression softening slightly. “Are you okay?”
You nod, though your hands are trembling slightly at your sides. “Yeah... Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.”
Aaron studies you for a moment longer, his dark eyes searching yours with a tenderness that makes your breath hitch. He steps closer, his voice soft but firm. “You could have come and got me.”
You swallow hard, your chest tightening at the sincerity in his words. “I know,” you whisper, offering him a small, tired smile. “I just... I didn’t want to make it a big deal.”
Aaron’s expression darkens slightly, a flicker of frustration crossing his face—not at you, but at the situation. He shakes his head gently. “It is a big deal. You shouldn’t have to brush it off.”
You open your mouth to protest, but he’s already reaching for you, his hand resting at the small of your back, guiding you out of the precinct without another word.
Aaron’s hand remained steady on your back as he guided you outside, the crisp night air rushing to meet you. It was quiet here, the hum of the precinct fading into the background, leaving only the sound of your uneven breathing and the faint rustle of leaves in the distance. He stopped near the corner of the building, turning to face you fully. His hands moved to your upper arms, grounding you in his presence.
“Talk to me,” Aaron said gently, his voice breaking through the haze of doubt clouding your mind.
You shook your head, biting the inside of your cheek to keep the frustration—or was it shame?—from bubbling over. “I’m fine,” you lied, forcing the words out even though you could feel them falling flat. “I just need to move on. It’s not worth—”
“Stop.” His tone was calm but firm, and it made you look up at him, your eyes meeting his. There was no anger there, no disappointment—only concern and something else you couldn’t quite name. “It is worth talking about. You are worth talking about.”
The lump in your throat grew, and you looked away, your gaze fixing on a crack in the pavement. “I shouldn’t let it get to me,” you murmured. “But… maybe he’s right.”
Aaron’s brows knit together, his hands tightening slightly on your arms. “What are you talking about?”
You shrugged, trying to swallow down the sting of the words that had been hurled at you back in the conference room. “Maybe I’m not good enough to be here,” you admitted quietly. “Maybe I’m just pretending I belong. I mean, if people like him think I’m a joke, what if they’re right?”
The silence that followed felt heavier than anything he could have said. When you finally looked back at Aaron, his expression was resolute, his dark eyes locking onto yours with unwavering intensity.
“They’re not right,” he said, each word deliberate. “And you know that.”
You opened your mouth to protest, but he stepped closer, his hands moving to cradle your face with a gentleness that made your chest ache. “You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t good enough,” he continued, his voice steady but edged with something close to frustration. “You’ve earned your place, and no one—no one—has the right to question that.”
The tears you’d been holding back threatened to spill over, but you bit them down, shaking your head slightly. “It’s hard not to question myself when people like him look at me like I don’t belong.”
Aaron exhaled slowly, his thumbs brushing against your cheeks. “People like him don’t matter,” he said softly. “You do. Your work speaks for itself, and anyone who can’t see that isn’t worth your time.”
Your hands came up to grip his wrists, grounding yourself in the warmth of his touch. “It’s just… exhausting,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “Having to prove myself over and over again. Sometimes it feels like no matter what I do, it’ll never be enough.”
Aaron’s face softened, and he leaned down slightly, his forehead resting against yours. “I know it’s exhausting,” he murmured. “And I wish I could take that weight off your shoulders. But you’re not alone in this. You have me. You have the team. We see you, and we know exactly what you’re capable of.”
You closed your eyes, letting his words sink in, letting the steady cadence of his voice soothe the storm inside you. After a long moment, you nodded, your grip on his wrists loosening. “Thank you,” you said quietly. “I… I needed to hear that.”
Aaron pulled back just enough to meet your eyes again, his expression softening even further. “You’re stronger than you give yourself credit for,” he said, his voice filled with quiet conviction. Then, without warning, he leaned in and kissed you, his lips warm and reassuring against yours. It wasn’t hurried or forceful—it was steady, grounding, a promise in itself.
When he finally pulls away, his eyes search yours, as if silently making sure you’re really okay. “I’ll always be here,” he promises softly.
You smile, a real one this time, feeling lighter than you have all day. “I know.”
Aaron presses another kiss to your forehead, lingering there for a moment before wrapping his arms around you, holding you tightly against his chest. You sink into him, letting yourself feel safe, letting yourself believe that with him, you’re never alone.
“Let’s go home,” he murmurs against your hair.
“Yeah,” you whisper, lacing your fingers with his. “Home sounds perfect.”
He squeezes your hand gently, leading you to the car, his presence a steady, comforting weight beside you. And in this moment, you know you’re exactly where you belong.

The Gotham Academy staff and teachers would very much like to thank Bruce Wayne for his current spawn. Granted, they’d thank him more if he’d stop acquiring children and then sending them to the Academy, but the good teachers of Gotham Academy has learned to be grateful for what they get.
Damian Wayne, compared to his elder siblings, is a downright charmer of a young man. There was, of course, a period of adjustment. But other than some mild threats of bodily harm- they lived in Gotham, a stabbing was considered minor- and that incident with the sword, Damian was a well behaved student who adjusted admirably to the change in scenery.
Not like the other Wayne and Wayne sponsored spawn. Dick Grayson will go down in history, nay, he will be engraved in infamy after the month of hell he put the custodians through. Their chandeliers and railings were not meant to be used as gymnastics equipment. The headmaster had to give them a raise after they cried about wiping footprints off of the ceiling. Not to mention the fights this kid got into.
Jason Todd, rest his poor soul, had terrorized the librarians for months! Sweet kid, really, but the librarian had to go on break because he kept hearing Jason’s “excuse me, could you find-” ringing in his ears. A sweet kid, really, until he got mad enough to slip back to that Alley mouth. The amount of complaints the headmaster got after the PTA heard him swear around their “sweet, innocent children” was the stuff of legends, even if the PTA kids definitely swore more and did more drugs than the Alley kid’s ever done.
And nobody, NOBODY, ever wants to mention the fact that Tim Drake had ever haunted these hallways again. Skipping class, hacking into the system to give himself good grades, and inciting a minor lunch room riot were the least of his crimes. His attendance was atrocious. The teachers swore up and down that he’d missed their classes, but then they’d see the checked mark- that damned mark- on their attendance sheet next to his name and felt like they were losing their damned minds.
Stephanie Brown? Sponsored by Bruce Wayne? Not only did her chaotic energy synergize with Tim Drake’s like a monsoon after a magnitude 8 earthquake, her colloquialisms spread like a plague. If her teachers had to hear “swing that knife sock, sadman,” one more time, they were going to tear their hairs out. Somehow, she’d even started an underground sticker trading market that had to be stopped once it escalated to motorcycles being traded for a super rare minted edition sparkly Spoiler sticker.
Duke Thomas, on the other hand, was reluctantly deemed as a good kid. But only on the basis of the teachers being unable to prove anything. A particular bully here and there got pranked to high heavens. Chemicals were stolen from the chemistry storage- the administration nearly had a heart attack thinking they had another rogue in the making- and returned with only a bit taken off from random containers. Duke was spotted near the crime scene but one innocent look later and innocence was declared. Honestly, by the time he arrived at the school, the teachers decided that as long as they had plausible deniability, Duke was innocent. And no, they don’t know who used the glass inside of the art rooms to create a school wide hazard in order to shut it down for the week. They don’t.
And so, Damian Wayne was automatically selected as the favorite Wayne scion. Not because of blood- the headmaster remembered Martha Wayne, thank you very much- but because he was the most well behaved child they’ve ever had from the Wayne bunch. He gives them a peace none of them have felt since Dick Grayson first graced these halls.
They do NOT talk about Bruce Wayne’s days. The more buried those days are, the less likely Gotham sees a new host of teacher-turned-supervillains.

Banter Between the Lines - Hughes Brothers
Author's Note: Hey, so here’s another quick chat-style piece! I haven’t had much time to sit down and write properly lately, so short and sweet it is for now. 😊 Feel free to send me some requests if you’d like! (You can check out the "rules" here: link). I can’t promise when I’ll get to them, but I’ll definitely find time soon.
Summary: A little fluff with a touch of smut (nothing too crazy, just some extra flirting). Quinn’s girlfriend roasts the boys while calling them out in their group chat.
Warnings: Nothing major, just some mention of 🍆.
It was one of those quiet Sunday nights where everything felt slow. You'd spent the evening catching up on your favorite shows, but it was hard to concentrate when all you could think about was Quinn. The constant distance between you two had become harder to ignore with each passing day, and as much as you loved how happy he was with his team, you missed him. And, truthfully, you missed the whole family.
You’d gotten close to Jack and Luke over the years, and now, with Quinn playing for the Vancouver Canucks and Jack and Luke together on the New Jersey Devils, the family dynamic felt a little more spread out than you liked. Sure, they’d all make time for you when they could, but it wasn’t the same as those days when you’d all hang out together.
Tonight, instead of a call or a quick text, you decided to turn to something a little more familiar. You opened up youtube and searched for their latest highlights.
All three of them were struggling on the ice, and it showed. It hurt to see them like this, especially when you couldn’t do much to help. So you did what you always did in times like these—opened the group chat and prepared to roast them into oblivion. If nothing else, it might make them laugh.
you: just finished your highlights. Quinn, congrats on being the saddest guy on the ice again 🥇. Jack, loved the mini tantrum energy 👏. Luke, did you forget which team you play for? because those turnovers were next-level.
Jack: wow, you really woke up and chose violence.
you: always. someone has to keep you humble.
Luke: humble? this feels more like a personal attack.
Quinn: what would you call it, then?
Luke: bullying.
you: oh, Lukey, don’t take it so hard. I tease because I care 💕
Jack: you literally plotted my ex’s demise last month. is that “caring” too?
you: first of all, it wasn’t a plot. it was more of a… fantasy.
Quinn: putting her in the ground “while she’s still breathing” doesn’t sound like a fantasy…
you: listen, if she hadn’t been such a manipulative little snake, I wouldn’t have had to consider it 🐍
Luke: terrifying. but honestly? fair.
Jack: I could’ve handled her myself, you know.
you: oh, really? because from where I was sitting, she had you wrapped around her finger like a puppet.
Quinn: she’s not wrong!
Jack: whose side are you on?
Quinn: hers. always.
you: damn right honey. and don’t worry, I’m not plotting her demise anymore… unless she tries to come back. then all bets are off.
Jack: remind me to never date again. you’re scarier than Quinn’s slap shot.
You grinned as the banter flew back and forth, but your focus shifted to Luke. His disastrous date still didn’t sit right with you.
you: okay, but seriously, Lukey. I've heard some gossip. how does a girl ditch you mid-dinner? you’re literally the sweetest human alive.
Luke: THANK YOU! finally, someone gets it.
Jack: don’t encourage him. he needs to toughen up.
you: excuse me? let him be sweet! not every guy needs to have your level of 'I’m too cool for feelings,' Jack.
Quinn: valid point.
Luke: thank you, Quinn.
you: honestly, Luke, I’ll never understand how she left. did you say something weird?
Luke: no!!! I was perfectly normal.
Quinn: “normal” is a stretch…
Jack: is this really the same guy who told a girl on a first date he’d make six different accounts just to sort himself into Hufflepuff six different times because he didn’t 'trust the algorithm'?
Luke: OKAY, THAT’S DIFFERENT. I was being honest!
you: oh, Lukey. you’re lucky you’re adorable because that is painful 😂
Luke: this is why I didn’t want to tell you guys.
Quinn: bro, it’s fine. just embrace the awkward puppy vibe. it’s clearly your brand.
Luke: I hate you.
Jack: ugh, why does he get the sympathy? roast him more guys!!! I can’t be the only one taking L’s here.
you: because Luke doesn’t put ketchup on his eggs like a serial killer, Jack.
Luke: yeah, what is WRONG with you? ketchup on eggs? really?
Jack: you people are so dramatic. it’s normal.
Quinn: nothing about that is normal.
you: thank you, Quinn. once again, the only rational person in this chat.
Jack: stop flirting with my brother. it’s disgusting.
Luke: seriously. I can feel the weird vibes through my phone.
You smirked, knowing exactly how to push their buttons.
you: you’re just mad because Quinn’s risotto is the best thing I’ve ever tasted.
Quinn: best risotto AND lasagna. don’t forget!
you: how could I? it’s the only reason I keep you around. And of course your magic 🍆
Quinn: oh, not my sparkling personality? btw you're objectifying my body...
you: hmm… maybe that too. but i have my priorities straight!
Jack: 🤢 STOP. this is disgusting.
Luke: seriously. this is TMI guys!!
you: just jealous, you two can’t even scramble eggs properly.
Quinn: cooking skills = key to a woman’s heart.
Luke: ugh. golden child strikes again.
Jack: some of us don’t need to cook because we have charisma, thank you very much.
Quinn: does your charisma excuse ketchup on eggs? because it shouldn’t.
Luke: still the biggest red flag in this chat.
Jack: Y’ALL ARE SO DRAMATIC.
You smiled at their bickering, your heart full, untouched by their chaos.
you: okay, but for real… I miss you guys 💔.
Luke: aww, finally some love.
Jack: are you feeling okay?!
you: don’t get used to it. but yeah, I miss you. Quinn, risotto night when you’re home! Jack and Luke, you can come eat it too.
Quinn: deal. but I’m ignoring them for the first hour I’m back. i need my time with you!
Luke: RUDE!
Jack: gross. is this the flirting portion of the chat? can we not?
you: love you too, boys. even if you’re disasters.
Jack: love you too. now stop flirting with Quinn before I puke.
Luke: seriously. save it for your own chat.
Quinn: jealousy doesn’t look good on you two.
Luke: jealous of what? your cooking? maybe. your 🍆? absolutely not.
you: you should be Lukey! your brother got some great 🍆
Jack: I’m OUT.
Luke: same.
Quinn: good job hon. guess it’s just us now. you: just how I like it 😘

Just Us Three
Summary: Yours and Jake’s son gets in trouble at school, and then Jake gets in trouble at home when he tries to hide it from you. (part 2 of this fic).
Word Count: 3.3k
Warnings: fluff, swearing, dilf jake, smut, angst if you squint, mentions of bullying, unprotected sex, dirty talk, protective jake.
Jake was still in his khaki uniform as he expertly manoeuvred his way through the halls of the school his son attends, similar to the way he skillfully moves in the sky. As his boots hit the granite tiles, he gave a nod to the school janitor, and the man half nodded, half waved back as he mopped the floor outside the bathrooms.
He didn’t blame the guy for the lack-luster greeting one bit. Jake couldn’t imagine the horrors the poor lad had seen just today, let alone this week. And it was only Wednesday.
Jake looked down at his watch and saw that it was quarter after three, and he was supposed to be at work for another few hours, but here he was. He was lucky he had such an understanding, albeit fed up, boss.
When he rounded the corner and entered the school’s office, he was met with the kind smile that belonged to Miss Sands, the usually nice lady who sits behind the front desk. But that smile faded pretty quickly once she realized who had just walked in. “He’s in there,” she told him, pointing at the door that was just behind the desk, and that was all she said.
“Thank you,” Jake said like it was part of his routine at this point. He walked past the desk and stood in the doorway, and he was greeted by an almost comically unimpressed look from the school’s principal, Mr. Harris. Jake held back a laugh, because this really wasn’t a funny moment, and raised his hand in a wave. “Hey…Mr. Harris.”
The principal raised his brow and looked over at the chair that was in front of his desk. “Mr. Seresin,” he stated, his tone flat and just…completely unfriendly. “Care to explain to me as to why your son is once again sitting in front of me?”
Jake looked over as well, his green eyes meeting his son’s matching ones. “Hey, bud,” he mumbled, his brows furrowing a bit at the embarrassed look JJ had on his face. Jake cleared his throat and crossed his arms, looking back at the principal. “I don’t know, Mr. Harris. You’re the one who called me while I was at work.”
Mr. Harris pressed his lips into a thin line. “This is the second time I’ve had to call you this week,”
Jake clenched his jaw as he leaned against the door frame. “I’m aware,” he muttered. “This is also the second time I’ve had to leave work early this week.”
“Well, you are on the top of JJ’s contact list,” Harris said, crossing his arms as well. “Would you prefer I call your wife instead next time?”
Jake tensed up at that, and he shook his head. “No,”
The last thing he wanted was for you to get called out of work, and he knew you’d make it a much bigger deal than he does. Honestly, Jake didn’t want you to know about the multitude of calls he’s gotten from JJ’s school this month, because he knew it was mainly his fault.
JJ had been having problems with a couple other kids in his grade, and Jake, being the protective father he discovered he is, told his five year old to stand up for himself and to not be afraid to speak his mind.
Well…it turns out that JJ’s mind can be pretty…colorful, for lack of better words, and it’s gotten him in trouble more than once. This was probably the fifth or sixth time this month, and although Jake knew he needed to set some better boundaries here, he was also kind of annoyed. What about the other kids’ parents? Why can’t they teach their kids to not pick on his? JJ was taking Jake’s advice every time he had a problem with the other boys, and it seemed to be more often than not, yet clearly nothing was being done about the other kids.
“Just keep calling me,” Jake muttered, rubbing at his forehead before stepping further into the office so he could stand next to JJ’s chair. “Or better yet, save me a trip and call the other kids’ parents. I know JJ’s got a…big mouth sometimes, but I also know it’s not just him. It’s the other boys in his class as well.”
Mr. Harris sighed and placed his hands on the surface of his desk. “Mr. Seresin, I’m aware of the comments the other boys have been making, but your son used language we don’t tolerate here,” he said, looking up at Jake expectantly. “Something needs to be done.”
Jake scoffed and moved to stand behind his son now, bracing his hands on the back of his chair as he leaned over. “Really?” he drawled, “What did he say?”
Harris sighed and looked at JJ, and Jake quickly covered the five year olds ears - as if he wasn’t about to have what he said repeated back to his father. “He said ‘leave me alone you stupid…pussy’ to another kid on the playground,” he informed Jake, an embarrassed grimace on his face. “That kind of language is unacceptable here at school, Mr. Seresin.”
Jake stayed completely still, his hands still covering JJ’s ears as he processed what was just said. His kid said that? Where did he even learn that word? Jake doesn’t even use that word unless he’s…oh.
Unless he’s pounding you into the bed he’s shared with you for the last eight years.
Well, fuck.
Jake nodded after that and dropped his hands to JJ’s shoulders, giving his son a gentle squeeze. “Okay. Understandable. I will have a talk with him tonight,” he said, gesturing for JJ to stand up. He took his school bag from him and guided him towards the door of the office, but paused before he left. “But you need to do something about the kids that are picking on him, otherwise we’re gonna keep having problems.”
Harris had the audacity to look offended at that, but Jake didn’t care as he took JJ’s hand and led him out to the parking lot. After he helped him into the backseat, Jake braced one hand above the door frame as he tried to think of what to say to his usually sweet son. “Listen, bud,” he started, glancing around the parking lot as a sigh left his lips. “What you said today, you can’t say that…word, okay? You’re too little to use those kinds of words, alright?”
JJ shifted in his seat, similar to the way Jake writhes around whenever you and he get into arguments - the ones he had no chance at winning. “But you say it. Uncle Bradley says it too sometimes when he drives me to soccer practice,” he mumbled, his big green eyes so innocent looking as he gazed up at Jake. “And I hear you say it to mommy sometimes at night time.”
Jake’s face heated up as he rubbed at his eyes, and he knew he would yell at Bradley the next time he saw him at work. “Is this when you’re supposed to be in bed?” JJ didn’t answer, and Jake shook his head as he ruffled his son’s blond hair. “I say it because I’m an adult, bud. And you need to stop trying to spy on your mom and I, alright?”
JJ nodded, his sweet mind still innocent and unsure. Jake nodded too, then looked down at the paper in his hand that explained why JJ had been called to the office today, and he winced when he imagined you reading it.
“Speaking of mom,” he mumbled, looking back up from the paper. “She doesn’t find out about this. Okay?”
JJ smiled up at Jake and nodded excitedly, seemingly more than happy to have a secret that only he and his dad know, and that was good enough for Jake.
Well, it would’ve been, but JJ seemed to have forgotten all about the deal as later that evening, at the dinner table no less, he said something that had Jake’s heart skipping a beat. “Mommy! Daddy was so cool when he picked me up from the office today,” he beamed, and you furrowed your brows as you set your fork down.
“What are you talking about, babe?” you asked, and Jake reached for his glass of water as you glanced over at him.
“At the principal’s office,” JJ explained, and Jake quickly shook his head.
“J, let’s not talk about this now, okay? Mommy just made dinner and we’re-”
“But you were so cool!” JJ cut him off before turning back to you. “Daddy used his angry voice on Mr. Harris today, mommy.”
You raised a brow, your eyes flickering between Jake and Jake Junior as you leaned back in your chair. “Why were you in the principal’s office today?”
JJ deflated a bit at that as he reached for his fork. “I…said a bad word,”
Your eyes widened and you looked over at Jake quickly. “Honey-”
“Jake,” you cut him off just like JJ did as you sat up straight again. “Why didn’t you tell me that he got sent to the principal’s office today? And why didn’t they call me?”
“Because I’m first on his contact list,” Jake mumbled, “And he and I had decided that it wasn’t important enough for you to know.” he added, narrowing his eyes at JJ, who just gave him a cute smile.
“Jake Seresin, you have our child hiding things from me?” you gasped, then quickly composed yourself. “What was the word?”
Jake shifted in his seat as he set the glass down and picked up his fork again, a damn near carbon copy of the way JJ became uneasy when he was in the hot seat in the truck earlier today. He really was his father’s son. “It’s not appropriate dinner talk. I’ll tell you after,”
-
“He said what?” you nearly yelled as Jake crossed his arms and leaned back against the counter. “Our son said that? How does he even know that word? We don’t say that unless we’re…”
Jake grinned at you as he slowly nodded, then he was dodging the dish towel you were using to clean the counter when you threw it at him.
“He definitely picked it up from you,” you muttered as you walked past him to start clearing the table. Jake followed you of course, and wrapped his arms around you from behind, his chin resting on your shoulder. “You and your dirty mouth. You’ve had it since before we even got together.”
Jake was instantly brought back to all the times he flirted shamelessly with you in an attempt to get you to go out with him, only for it to all be thrown back at him because you were not one of those girls who caved easily to guys like him. That’s what made him clean up his act and ask you out in more nicer ways, which then eventually led to him taking you out on the most perfect date both of you had ever been on, and now he’s married to you.
“Well, Bradley’s been saying it too. You know how bad his road rage is, he has no filter, even when he takes J to his soccer games. And I can’t help the filthy things that come out of my mouth whenever I get you alone,” he defended himself, pressing his cheek against yours as he held you snugly against his body. “You’re just too damn sexy, baby.”
You rolled your eyes but didn’t stop him from cuddling you from behind, which Jake was happy about. Ever since you and he got together, he’s become obsessed with touching you in any way he could and holding you whenever he can. He just loved how perfectly you fit against his body, and he knew you loved it too, even if you complained about it sometimes. “Bradley is his uncle, he’s not with him all the time, so he has an excuse. You, my love, do not,”
He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your cheek, then trailed his nose along the shell of your ear. “You can’t be mad at me for this, honey. It’s not my fault the kid’s got big ears,”
You laughed, picking up the plates before turning your head to look up at him. “I think it is your fault, dumbo,” you mumbled, and Jake gaped at you.
“Be nice to me,” he whined, following after you like a lost puppy as you returned to the kitchen and began loading the dishwasher. “I’m so nice to you.”
Another laugh left your mouth. “You’re teaching our son to keep secrets from me,”
“Okay, that’s not fair,” he groaned, walking back out to the table so he could gather the glasses, JJ’s Spider-Man cup, and the cutlery. “I only told him that you didn’t need to know about it, not that I’d never tell you about it. I would’ve, just…a couple years from now.”
“Jake,” you scoffed, moving aside when he loaded the items into the dishwasher. “I’m his mother, I’m supposed to know these things too.”
He turned to look at you, propping his hands on his hips once he closed the dishwasher. “And you would’ve known about this,”
You crossed your arms and raised one of your brows. “In a couple years from now?”
Jake grinned, “See, I knew you’d understand,”
“Uh huh,” you mumbled, dodging his hand when he reached out and tried to pull you into his arms. “I’m going to go get him in the bath. Then you and I are going to talk more once he’s in bed.”
You sounded serious, and you looked serious, but Jake’s smile only grew, because he knew he’d be able to change the topic real quick once you and he retired to your room for the night. Easily.
-
“Oh yeah,” he murmured as he kissed all along your shoulders, his fingers quickly unbuttoning your jeans and sliding the zipper down. “You and I are really talking a lot.”
You groaned, trailing your fingers through his hair gently before giving it a firm tug, making him moan against your skin. “You are so annoying,” you muttered, but your words weren’t hostile at all.
Jake grinned against your skin as he pulled the denim off your legs. His heart was beating fast in his chest, because even after eight years with you, you still made him feel so fucking giddy and he was so in love with you. And he always will be.
Nothing had changed, with the exception and addition of JJ. You were still the sarcastic yet sweet girl he fell head over heels for, and you were all his. “You love me,” Jake mumbled against your neck as he slid his hand inside your panties, his fingers instantly finding your clit. “You married me…you’re stuck with me.”
“Oh, the horror,” you said back, then moaned next to his ear when he slid his index and middle fingers inside you, and the sound went directly to his cock. “Fuck. Jake.”
He hummed as he lifted his head, his green eyes staring into yours as he leaned in and pressed his forehead against your own. “Mm, I love you,” he mumbled, sliding his fingers in and out of you. “I love you so much.”
You whimpered, tangling your hands in his hair as you guided his lips to yours in a deep kiss. “I love you too,” you mumbled against his mouth as he pulled his fingers out of you. He sat back on his knees and brought his hand up to his lips to taste you as he watched you kick off your panties, his eyes raking up and down your body as he moaned around his fingers.
“Fuck, you’re so hot,” he grunted, unzipping his uniform pants and shoving them down his legs, along with his boxers. He was out of his shirt before you were, and he took it upon himself to rid you of both your tank top and bra, leaving you bare beneath him and only further proving his words.
You grinned up at him, shifting on the bed as you beckoned him closer with a curl of your finger. “You’re sexy,” you say back, wrapping your legs around his waist when he crawls back on top of you. “Even when I’m still mad at you for trying to get our son to hide something from me.”
Jake groaned, burying his face in your neck as he guided the tip of his cock through your folds. “Don’t hold that against me, honey, I was just trying to protect you, that’s all. I don’t want you to stress out over nothing,” he mumbled, then groaned again when he slid inside of you. “Fuck, baby, you feel so good. Such a tight-”
You reached up and placed your hand over his mouth, your eyes boring into his as he stilled. “Until you can figure out how to soundproof our room, you need to keep your dirty words to yourself, baby,” you said, and Jake grunted against your palm.
You wanted him to be quiet while he is fucking you? Did you not know how good you felt and how damn near impossible it was for him to not tell you that? Yours and his sex life was full of dirty talk, and it always had been, how was he supposed to just…stop?
He was going to have to figure it out, because the alternative was sex in the truck or no sex at all, and the latter was something he was not about to agree to.
“I’ll be quiet,” he muttered when you pulled your hand away, and his own gripped your hips as he started to slowly pull out of you. “But that means you need to be quiet too, which will probably be a lot harder for you to do.”
You narrowed your eyes. “Harder for me? Please, Jake, I can be quiet too-” but a loud gasp left your mouth as soon as he buried himself back inside of you, and Jake just smirked down at the dirty look you gave him. “Fair enough.”
“Uh huh,” he mumbled then leaned down to kiss you as he started to thrust in and out of your additive body. He swallowed your sweet moans he loved hearing, each one sounding more and more desperate as Jake fucked you slow and deep, just like how he knew you liked it.
When he felt you tighten around him, he pulled away from your lips and buried his face against the side of your neck, his left hand coming up to cover your mouth as he rutted into you. “I love you,” he groaned against your neck when he felt you cum around him, and a few seconds later, he was there too.
You wrapped your arms around his shoulders when he stilled his body and eased himself gently on top of you, cradling you in his arms as he pressed soft kisses against your neck. “I love you too,” you said back, running your fingers through his messy hair. “I love both my boys so much. And I want to know when he’s being picked on or having trouble in class, okay? We’re a team, you know that, right? You, me and J.”
“I know, baby,” he murmured, lifting his head and pressing a gentle kiss to your temple. “I know we are. We’re the perfect team. I promise, I’ll tell you about it the next time he gets in trouble at school, okay?”
You raise your brow as you pull back to look up at him. “You make it sound like he gets into trouble all the time,”
Jake grinned down at you, “Come on, babe. He is my kid after all. Trouble is in his blood,” he said back and then cut off your laugh when he leaned in and kissed you again.

When I tell you I'm so sick of this.
Yes, yes, Bakugou used to be his bully and all that yadda yadda. Oh my gosh, wow, a bully in the story! How dare such a thing exists!
Okay, stop clutching your pearls. Even Bakugou knew he was a total ass and it's not something he ever got away with like that, let alone he does grow up, so chill.
But if you're gonna go that route, throwing Todoroki in there to be like "it makes sense to pair them instead" is kind of strange because even though Todoroki didn't bully Midoriya, they did still immediately start on the wrong foot. I mean, Todoroki could have killed Midoriya in their match but I don't see people going "I don't understand how people can ship them, it doesn't make sense to me when Todoroki could have seriously killed Midoriya that one time".
I have seen people ship Midoriya with characters worse than Bakugou, but OMG, it's their ship that gets tackled on the most and at this point, I see it as a trend.
I see it as someone has to do because they're a follower.
Honestly, it's just getting ridiculous.
If the ship doesn't make sense to you, it doesn't make sense to you, who cares? But posting about it like this and then tagging it, doesn't do anything good.
No one who has caught up with the anime and manga would post about the ship in a rather negative way would be "it doesn't make sense to ship them".
"What if they aren't caught up?"
Even so, does it need to make sense? Is it an actual necessity for someone to have a ship to make sense if at the end of the day they're just entertained by the mere thought of it and not bothering you about it?
Take it from someone who ships Miruko and Burnin and is her favorite MHA ship at this time. We ain't see them have no onscreen interaction. That didn't stop me though and going "Hey, I think you two would look cute together".
There are ships in this fandom that have a way worse relationship in canon and still people ship them.
"I see art that depicts them being cute together." Okay, so and? Are you losing HP from it like some video game character that has yet to move out the lava? Do you grow a horn every time you see cute ship art of it? It's not the only ship drawn out there being cute together. It's not like there aren't cute moments in canon for them. Then stop looking at the art. Why are you looking at the art? If you keep seeing BakuDeku art, clearly... you're in the area. Probably on purpose.
I know if I keep seeing art of a ship I don't like it's a me problem because I have the choices to not follow certain people, block the tag, etc.
Maybe you shouldn't be in the MHA fandom at all given the amount of art for them anyways that's official.
Look, I'm not bothered by someone not liking Bakudeku. Could really give zero crap about it, honestly. I have ships I don't like either.
But what bothers me is posting about it, attacking the ship and tagging it.
We all have our opinions and I believe, good or bad, post about them.
However, people do shit like this and then mask it as "having an opinion" when really they probably want to start drama.
"But, Kiya, what if they're not trying to start drama? What if they don't know the proper way to tag?"
I call bullshit and I don't care. Oh, yes, I sound like a bitch, but let's be real here.
Stuff like this happens no matter where. It doesn't just happen on Tumblr. People have done this over and over and over to the point that it is hard to believe that person isn't trying to start anything.
New or not, people by now should know that if they're going to say something negative about a ship, don't draw in the shippers.
If this person didn't want to start drama then why bring TodoDeku into this? "Make it make sense." That right there is a sign of "I'm starting drama". Uh, people do happen to ship TodoDeku. I even ship it. It's not like people don't at all in the fandom ship them and only ship BakuDeku, so stop.
It's not like this person or anybody who does this is genuinely asking and do what to know because maybe they are genuinely curious and/or considering the ship but first wants to know more about it.
No, they're just being hostile. This is not an opinion. It's an attack disguised as one.
If you don't like the ship, okay. But if you're going to post about it, don't tag it.
This isn't even about BakuDeku only anymore. I see this with ships that don't even have anything wrong with them and in different fandoms. It's tiring, it's annoying and just takes the fun out of shipping.
#like really who gives a flying FUCK about the ship 'making sense'?#does it need to? no it doesn't#I'm sorry but i have run out of patience with people like this#kid adult people who do this no matter the age are annoying#let stop giving them passes about it#blocked you're blocked#just kiya's thoughts#bnha#mha#boku no hero academia#my hero academia#bakudeku#dekubaku#bkdk#dkbk

do you have more thoughts on the “young people not having a majority online space effecting their fashion” thing? that’s an interesting topic
I’m not good with long form writing but I’ll dump my general thoughts.
As someone who grew up with the internet and tumblr i think that the 2000s and early 2010s had spaces that were exclusive to or overwhelmingly young people. Children don’t have a way to engage in personal exploration, play games, or content for free online without the risk of being exposed to violence, advertisement, damaging media, or predators. I don’t want to over romanticize this time because there were issues then obviously and predators too. But as a kid there were websites with free games and platforms that had no mechanism to communicate with other users. There was less advertising also. Everyone knows how early tumblr was but the positives were you could exist in your own communities and share interests with less of a chance you would go viral and be subjected to the wider internet. Your teenage thoughts and ideas were less connected to your actual identity.
With tiktok starting as musical.ly it’s the same as any visual platform. Attractive rich white people are incentivized, the further you stray from that, less so. It’s also just not good for them to be that visible online with comment sections and dms. Also children being lolcows makes me feel nothing but dread. It’s an online form of a type of bullying people experience irl. I think adults mingling with children online is only bad but irreversible now. They have no third “it’s weird for old people to be here” spaces irl or online.
Specifically talking about fashion…what the fuck does a 16 year old know about “personal style” and why are they expected to? Adults and children mingling on tiktok has done nothing but worsened the idea of where you’re supposed to be at a certain age with knowing who and what you are. It’s also made the adults worse by thinking they’re on the same level as teenagers. I hate self-infantilization. Every generation borrows from the previous one, but the criticism they receive in this cycle has never been this accessible (and encouraged!) and it’s alienating the children. The push to “personal style” and individualism as a way to align with more things to buy has replaced life experience and literal time spent with yourself to know yourself. The kids are over-policed, sexualized, silenced, and victimized more than ever.
I’ll never forget I saw a grown man ridiculing teenage girls on TikTok for making Ethel Cain edits saying “what? Babies first experimental album”. Death! To all of them.

You once mentioned his group name, and now he's down bad for you. The worst part? his teammates seem to always tease him about it, but the best part? you answer his message.
★ okay, so finally, the third part (i only have ideas at night, but i sometimes can't be a night owl)

YOU MAKE ME WANNA MAKE YOU FALL IN LOVE ⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅
Saturday, 25th January 2023
Seungcheol can't lie, the dinner was first awkward and he didn't even know why you're saying yes to his invitation, but he should be grateful because if you say no the members will most likely bullies the shit out of him.
Some time passes and the atmosphere between you becoming more comfortable, no more stiff position, just a chill coversation while waiting for your food to came.
"Do you have any plans if you're not being a singer right now?" Seungcheol asked curiously after swallowing his food.
You chew yours for a second before answering him, "I actually have a business degree on Yonsei, so if i'm not a singer, i'd be most likely to follow my father career, he have his own company business"
"Oh! I heard you already finished your master degree at Anyang. That's so cool, I want to continue to have my master's degree, but my schedule is too packed, so i don't find any time to study"
Well, the conversation flows smoothly like a river. There's both of your occasional laugh when each of you says something hilarious.
After you finished, he insisted on paying the bill since he's the one who brought you here.
And while you appreciate the nice thing he does, you still feel bad, and so you bought a desert for him to take home.
Seungcheol is first politely declined the nice gesture, but being a stubborn you are, you tell him to take the desert for awhile because you have something on you.
When he does just that, you open your mouth, "The desert is yours! You already hold it. I don't want to take it back" which he chuckled at, and then he said that he really appreciated it and will eat it with his members.
At first, he thought you had gone here by a cab, but you told him that you brought your own car and you parked it in the basement.
So he walks down with you to the underground because he also bring his car here.
You both then send each other a goodbye and you drive to your own house with your own car.
What you don't know is that there's a paparazzi there, ready to take your photos and making it the cover of the news hours later.
[⋆✴︎˚。⋆]
"How's your date?" Seungcheol jumped when he heard that, his older brother is sitting infront of the TV with kkuma, his dog.
Seungcheol frowns, "You're scaring me, and no, that's not a date" His brother finally detached his eyes from the television, looking at Seungcheol with a teasing glance.
"Your members have been so fussy about this, and they say it was a date. Also, they say that you only met her this once despite there's no interaction between both of you before this"
Of course, his members are the nosy people ever, so he just rolled his eyes at his brother before going to his room to change his clothes and also, change your profile pictures because he got that perfect shot earlier.
He smiled when he looked at the photos, and you both even took pictures together, a very couple coded photos in fact.
He will secretly put it on his wallet after he prints it so he can see a beautiful scenery when it was his turn to pay the bills for an outing
[⋆✴︎˚。⋆]
Meanwhile, you still flustered by Seungcheol's gestures earlier, covering the bills, taking pictures together, and even holding your hand while you're going down on stairs.
You always remember yourself that it's just a friendly act between junior & senior, because the fellow actors that in the drama you starred also does that to you.
But this time, you feel your heart thumping loudly against your ribcage, and you think you drunkenly inlove with him.
Like, it's understandable, right? who doesn't love an enigma male named Seungcheol, who's 178cm with that big ass bicep, and let's not start with the way he looks at you because you might die.
There's a several misscall from your friends, Jiwoong, Kevin, even Juyeon. So you decided to open your sns, and what you looking at right now makes you want to poke your eyeballs.
How can they have your photos taken and in the basement, too? you remember Seungcheol said that the restaurant offers a very private dining experience, but how can this paparazzi take pictures of you?
So open your imess, text Seungcheol abiut the rumors, you don't want to ruin his career, so you got to act quick.
While doing that, you ask your management team through the group chat, and they were all pretty laid back about the news since you're not in the K-Pop industry, nevertheless they still told you to contact Seungcheol regarding this rumors.

I was an active participant in the ace/aro discourse on the side of aces and aros and tbh the reframing of it as “mean stinky asexys bullying trans women” is… this wasn’t history so historical revisionism isn’t right. Tumblr lore revisionism?
1. We saw multiple TERFs admit they became TERFs after becoming ace exclusionists because they found the arguments they were making for kicking asexuals and aromantics out were also arguments they could use against trans people.
2. I can think of multiple transfems who supported aces and aros. This may be a blind spot on my end, but the only transfem exclusionist I can think of was discourseprincesa who later turned out to be lying. She claimed to be an Afro-Latina Jewish intersex trans lesbian and every time someone tried to call her out from the perspective of a different marginalized group she’d suddenly reveal she had a connection there too. She was infamous for being a raging ableist who regularly suicide baited and harassed people, sometimes to the point of panic attacks and mental breakdowns, but her accidentally posting on the wrong blog where she’s honest about being a cis perisex white woman was what got every exclusionist to finally stop supporting her.
3. Wait, I almost forgot the other transfem who was an ace exclusionist. She was best known for dating the person who accused aces of stealing the color purple from bi people. Aside from those two, the majority of aphobes I saw and encountered were cis women, transmascs, trans men, and nonbinary people who either didn’t list their agab or were afab. This is not surprising when you’re on a website that is predominantly those who were afab. These demographic numbers would look a lot different if it took place on Reddit.
4. The entire ace discourse was nothing more than a site-wide bullying campaign against asexuals and aromantics, with any Ace or aro who was too open about their orientation risking getting mountains of anon hate and harassment, suicide baiting, etc., and even something as harmless as “cake and dragons” was open to receiving a slew of aphobic bullshit, to the point where aces and aros basically couldn’t have anything. We saw a lot of aces and aros go from being out and open about it to suddenly being so much quieter and hesitating if they even wanted to go to queer events at all, as they learned from years of harassment that they weren’t welcome there. Given how one post that sticks out to me is a person saying that if they saw an ace lesbian holding an ace flag at pride they’d punch her for it, I can’t say I blame them.
So, that’s all entirely from memory! I’m sure someone else can fill in additional details if they’d like.
Important history right here

Lets talk about narrative framing in Harry Potter and how it lends itself to what I live to call the Regulus vs James vs Snape debate, aka the "why does the fandom praise Regulus and James but hate Snape, it's because they're hot isn't it?" issue.
I'm trying to come at this with a neutral perspective (despite being what many would frame as a Regulus defender).
So narrative framing, what is it? It's exactly what is sounds like; how the narrative is telling you to view something. A great example of this is house elves. They are narratively framed as a net positive, however, when you take them out of the narrative and inspect them without all of the unnecessary context, they're pretty bad. The narrative also does this with characters (obviously), like Cho Chang being framed as annoying for crying over her boyfriend who was brutally murdered. When we look at this, we are looking at it through the lens of Harry, but when we look at without Harry's motives in mind, that shit is weird.
So, how does this apply here? Well, I think the reason that Snape is so hated is cut into two parts; the first being narrative framing and the second being screen time. He is in every book. And in every book, he's being an asshole. He's bullying someone who is half or even a third of his age, or he's being speciesist, or he's being a general nuisance. A lot of his coworkers don't even like him. Of course, our lens isn't unbiased as we see all this through Harry's view, but Harry, narratively, is one of the good guys, making him someone we as the reader are supposed to trust. Also, we do know that whether or not they were influenced by Harry's POV, he did some foul shit: we know that he used to be (and maybe still is, for most of the series) a DE, we know that he tells his students Lupin is a werewolf, and we also know he hates James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin (obviously), Harry Potter himself, and, I may be assuming here but, Peter Pettigrew. All but one of these characters are framed positively in the narrative, meaning Snape isn't just narratively hated; he is up against some of the most beloved characters. There is not a lot going for him until the plot twist, which doesn't help necessarily. To a lot of fans it just made him seem obsessive and bitter, and didn't justify his actions, likely because of all the narrative framing against him. Honestly, at that point it stops being narrative framing and starts being the narrative.
Compare this to James and Regulus who we see very little of. The little we see of James is usually through Snapes memory, which I guess can kind of be considered an unbiased source, but with all the narrative against him it's hard to expect readers to trust that someone the bad guy thinks is bad is really that bad. Not to mention like right after Harry asks for affirmation that his dad wasn't terrible, and Sirius basically just goes "he changed, trust me bro!" (Harry does indeed trust him, bro). And we don't even see Regulus, we only see him through others, namely Sirius and Kreacher, who both answer questions about him scarcely. When we do hear about him it is either, "he was so soft, too soft to disobey our parents" implying something in him was good, he just wasn't strong enough to resist the bad, or through his defiance of Voldemort which, despite setting Harry back is positive for his character and how he's seen. It's important to note most people are way too scary to defy Voldemort, so this is seen as a radical act, which I think is also what JK. Molding was hoping for when writing the Snape redemption scene (because that was not an arc).
However, Snape's falls flat because we actually have to see the negative that he did, we see how it effects Neville, and Hermione, and Remus and even Harry. We don't see the bad of Regulus, we only see him through the tender wounds of his living relative and only friend, which are undoubtedly biased lenses. I think the lack of accountability shown for Regulus is because of object permanence. We only see the negative effect of his loss, not of his bad decisions. We see Sirius scrubbing a house clean of everyone but him. We see grief. And people don't grieve for bad people, right?
TLDR: Fandom favors Reg over Snape because we see how Snape's actions effect people, and the fandom favors James over Snape because the only evidence we have of him being a bad guy is coming from someone untrustowrothy.

Ough my god SPEAKING of Mizuki's hyper-cheerful exterior, I was thinking about something recently!! When you compare her to the other Genki Girls of Project Sekai, there's a certain vibe difference between her and say, Emu or Saki. The vibe difference is, of course, that Mizuki is making an active effort to be as palatable as possible. But I noticed something more specific about that, that is, to me, equal parts cute and OW OW OW OW OW OW:
Mizuki totally acts like a kids' show character. Specifically, a Precure leader. (Which makes sense, given that Precure's almost certainly what MiraMagi Definitely Isn't, in the same way that TrickTrick Definitely Isn't TikTok.) Every kids' show protagonist is going to be niceys, obviously, they need to be good influences. But! There are still differences in the brand of niceys that each little kid franchise character embodies. And Mizuki's mask matches the Precure flavor just about perfectly...
What's most significant to me is that she's like, pushy about doing favors for her friends. Refer to her bullying Niigo into Going Out And Doing Stuff Because It's Good For Them. "Helpful to a fault" is a trait that Toei loves to give lead cures. You will have your pink cure who runs around helping everyone with a smile 24/7 (I am looking directly at Heart and Lovely especially), and you will have one of the other characters off to the side sighing something like "There she goes again, wearing herself thin because she is Just Too Nice. She doesn't know when to quit!".
There's also a second brand of "'helpful' is her one negative trait" cure, and that's the one who continually kills The Grumpy One with kindness, while the grumpy one in question thinks "Wow what a weirdo. Why are you so nice." (This time I'm looking directly at Peach, Heart and Lovely again, Miracle, and Star)
In general, she really often chooses to show her emotions in a very simple way, and it totally reminds me of how characters in anime for younger audiences tend to talk. When she's displaying 'really happy', she often takes a tone more akin to "announcing to the viewer" than "normal happy person". There's like, a lot of energy, and a sort of singsong tone, it makes me think of the recaps that tend to happen at the start and ends of Precure (and baby anime in general) episodes. The like, "Hi, I'm Firstname Lastname! I'm in 8th grade and this is my favorite thing! One day, a mysterious power turned me into a Precure, and now I fight bad guys!" thing. When she's displaying 'sad', she becomes a comical degree of mopey, and then bounces right back after a few seconds (refer to the "WAHHHHH MEIKO HATES MEEEEEE :(((((" card lol.) She also loves herself a good Noise No One Makes In Real Life... the breathy "a-haha..." sort of laugh when she's embarrassed, "Kyaa~!" when something cute catches her eye, drawn-out "Eeeehhhhhh?!" when she's shocked.
There's also a little bit of like, "irresponsible, but so cute about it that you can't get mad at her". Like in the Ena5 aftershow, where Ena's like "I'm glad you're here to make MVs again but don't demand a million drawings from me ok?", to which Mizuki is like "It's fiiine you can just pull an all-nighter for me :) can't you :)?". It reminds me of how half the lead cures are either Bad At Their Homework or Forget About It, and then wetly and pathetically and cutely beg the rest of the main cast to help them.
I dunno I just think it's. Extremely Mizuki to select the type of character whose worst flaw is "annoyingly nice and happy" as the basis for how she presents herself. If the person you pretend to be around others is totally perfect, it's weird and offputting (hi Mafuyu), so she has to display some kind of flaw. But being imperfect also opens her up to harassment, so of course she goes for the most hard-to-hate imperfection she can think of as her One Failing. And I also think it's Extremely Mizuki to have so much love in her heart for characters primarily designed to spread messages like "always be kind", "do the right thing" etc etc.
Mizuki is a little dweeb who likes cute low-stakes anime about peace and love on planet earth. And also she is not doing well mentally and all she wants is the peace and love on planet earth that her animes show. God. I love her
#I never thought my baby show connosoueiaour status would be useful but here we are#long post#I wonder if there's any relation to MiraMagi being Definitely Not Precure#and mahou tsukai featuring Miracle and Magical airing irl while she would have been in middle school#probably not but I do wonder

Some people think Wei Wuxian's teasing is mean and a form of bullying. Is it? I have seen some people make Wei Wuxian's teasing turn into bullying and it doesn't sit right with me.
I thought Wei Wuxian's teasing was just to get Lan Wangji’s attention or to just play around with the kids. Was he ever being mean about it?
I know Wei Wuxian is a kind person. So his teasing turned into bullying doesn't really make any sense.
As with many of the misconceptions of the novel narrative that mxtx intentionally breaks apart, fandom has taken as fact the narrative rumor that wangxian is an enemies-to-lovers story. Therefore, a lot of readers—particularly those who are either anti-wwx or anti-lwj—tend to nitpick at teen!wangxian’s interactions to claim them as toxic or abusive. However, as I’ve discussed here, wangxian actually look back on each other’s teenage antics with fondness and nostalgia. A teenage Wei Wuxian’s intent in his interactions with teenage Lan Wangji was to make a friend, and Lan Wangji knew this then and knows it in the present, too. A third party doesn’t have to come in to preach to us about the definition of bullying when the characters actually involved do not care lmao.

haha well, i‘m not sure if i can provide exactly what you need but here is the interview with toby that i talked about:
youtube
definitely worth the watch :) the part in question starts at around 36 minutes in ('sneak peak that hasn‘t been said before').
as for the daniel vavra tweets, i won‘t post them here as i definitely made them sound more fun than they actually are (or at least they‘re not fun objectively, only if you‘re a lunatic like me :D). i mean it‘s still vavra, so most of it is just really unprofessional bullying (though this time of people who deserve it). you can look it up yourself of course, but be aware of highly discriminatory language being thrown around there (homophobic, antisemitic, racist … not by vavra, but yk).
but i‘m gonna share this one, cause that was pretty spot on ngl
i have to hand it to warhorse. responding to the men screaming "IF YOU WERE JUST GOING TO TURN HENRY QUEER WHY WAS HE STRAIGHT IN KCD 1???" with
"budget constraints"
is the funniest fucking thing a dev has ever said
#as for the original post brujahinaskirt was kind enough to send it to me#but it was really just that — a dumb question about henry being 'forced' into heterosexuality in kcd1 and the dev answering as stated above#don‘t know if i have the permission to share that though so that must do#Youtube
