I think it's actually pretty funny that NONE of the TNBC prequels & sequels line up with each other. There's no continuity. Nightmare Before Christmas fans get to choose their own canon.

Do you prefer Jack & Sally getting married right after the film, or Jack leaving town and coming home to stop Oogie's reign? Jack Skellington inventing a transporter between the Holiday worlds, or a magical mirror that clones things? Oogie Boogie getting resurrected or staying alive and helping out in Halloween Town? Zero getting lost in Christmas Town or Sally going on a quest to save all the Holiday Worlds? Sally being born to ragdoll parents or Dr. Finkelstein making her as a child? Jack and Sally meeting after she was created as an adult, or growing up together? Jack and Oogie meeting when he overruns the town with bugs, or being lifelong friends who eventually broke ties? Or--
