No, I'm not joking when I say I used the set of notes written on a man's ass in a Hieronymus Bosch painting as the outline for my fan fic's version of Mockingjay's The Hanging Tree song I wrote (This is one reason why my THG inspired album was never finished rip)

hi nat!! can I please have 🍭+ 🧿 + ☯️? <3
Loops!!! HELLOO!! <333
🍭 why did you start writing?
i wanted 2 geek abt art history and jegulus at the same time hahhahaha
🧿 what steps do you take to not take things personally if a fic doesn't do well, or if your writing/posting/sharing experience isn't going how you'd like it to?
oooh this is good. i don’t ever take things personally if a fic “doesn’t do well” it never bothers me just because i never expect anyone to read it! i just post stories im interested in and i’m always so thrilled when even one other person is interested in it as well
writing experiences that happen when i receive negative or mean comments do hurt sometimes! but at the end of the day, for me, i remind myself that i’m not a professional writer!!! i’m not in school for writing, never took a creative writing class b4 in my life,, and i certainly don’t have a publishing house backing me !! for me, fic writing is a hobby and if ppl have issues w it, well that’s on them bc i’m having fun 😌
☯️ how do you think engaging with each other through tumblr, twitter, comments, kudos, creates healthy fandom experiences? How do you deal with that if you're not a social person/experience social anxiety?
i do think engaging with each other through social media can be very healthy in fandom instances because i find, for the most part, that engaging w others humanizes you a bit (if that makes sense?) like, when i had a tiktok and someone made a mean video on tiktok abt ahb! i just commented “:(“ on it and the person deleted the video. ahsjdks. i think ppl don’t think that the person will see the mean comments or videos that they’re making about them, and just being more present makes you more human (not that i think this is right or fair ,, it’s just smth i’ve noticed personally)
on a more positive note!! it’s allowed me to make so many friends, people i adore !! and it’s so fun to have a little community to talk to and share things with!!! i am pretty anxious when it comes to reaching out to other people in the fandom (i feel like more than a few people on here can attest bc i slide into dms w profuse apologies and extreme awkwardness most times ahdjkda) but i have found some wonderful friends and i just have to remind myself of that !! reaching out can lead to the most wonderful friendships :,))
q’s from this ask game!

Wanna add my perspective bc honestly schools have differences (although only slightly).
1. It's not as divisive as in movies. We had different ones: hicks, Mexicans, band geeks/drama nerds/choir kids, and I guess we knew who the jocks were but they weren't worshipped or anything. I also had friends in several circles but I was definitely not popular. There was no 'food chain' or hierarchy of any sort. The most I felt like it got close was in my choir class, but those people were especially bitchy 🤷‍♀️
2. I never saw a breakdown in class. In-class work was rarely as stressful as the homework. I did have my own small episode where I would get stress pain in my shoulder but that wasn't really anything.
3. I guess parties were a thing but I never heard about them. We actually did have a rich kid with a mansion but he was a slimy cryptid whose parents would've disowned him if he had parties at their home so idk where they happened.
4. We had a cafeteria where food could be bought and you had the option to bring your own. You could pay cash or have money loaded onto a school card. I usually brought my own, but yeah, nachos and pizza were pretty common to buy. We also had little stations for bagels or Arizona tea and stuff. It was alright but definitely cheap. Some schools allow students to go off campus for lunch, however mine did not.
5. I guess people hooked up/made out places but I was never aware 😂. There was a place behind the school where kids smoked pot. We had a streaker at a football game (boxers on), dude who almost had a heart attack for drinking too much Monster, a food fight that I missed cuz I was gone that day, guy got a wooden dowel stuck in his hand during art class and got nicknamed Half Jesus. I did have a girl assume I was late to class because I'd been making out with someone when actually I was playing piano in a practice room and got lost in the sauce during lunch.
6. We moved classes. 6 classes, 55 minutes each with 5 minutes between, plus a half hour lunch (3 different lunch assignments so you could have a class with lunch in the middle sometimes). Some classes like band, choir, physic ed., etc. obviously don't have desks. My classrooms had tables mostly and they could be arranged however the teacher preferred. Pretty hard to sleep in class unless there's a long lecture (rare). I legit don't know how people cheated at my school. Not a clue.
7. Yeah, teachers definitely vary. Had my freshman English teacher start our class by saying she hated freshmen 🙃. One science teacher would have debate days about whatever he felt like. Chemistry teacher did a lesson every semester that involved making loads of bacon and it was so well known other teachers would order plates of bacon. Loved my band director, love/hated my choir director, had an English teacher who had a band on the side and we got along pretty well. We didn't have teachers pets so much as a kid who was a loveable little shit that got attention but wasn't bad enough to get in trouble. Had 2 different math teachers with an "A wall" who would take photos of students who got As on tests and add stickers for each subsequent A (I was never on the wall lol). Some teachers double as coaches and you can tell because they likely do shit like what I just mentioned. Had an awesome history teacher who looked like Steve from Blues Clues and he wore a green striped sweater with khakis sometimes 😁😁 he was also our football announcer so imagine this nerdy dude's voice doing that 😂
Randomly adding that school dances are never as exciting as they are in movies. If you have a date you're really into or a close group of friends maaayyybe but rare. I went to 3-4 through all of high school and none were a huge deal for me. That said, I grew up going to church and regularly attended dances hosted by that and my dad was the DJ so of course I liked them more and I didn't have to bring a date to those.
If you do anything extracurricular or artistic, you do bind with those kids more and form your friend groups there. I loved my friends from band and drama to death. The drama kids going to Denny's after shows is a real thing and one time we were there at the same time as another school's cast and they started chanting at us. My friends in band were the best and we did all sorts of goofy things together outside of it.
If you have an older sibling, teachers will compare you. My older brother excelled in academics and then my severely undiagnosed ADHD ass came and ruined their expectations 😂 but they still liked me.
Depending on the school, electives can be whatever you want or directed toward a specific goal. Mine was mostly whatever I wanted. There can be mix-ups though. I spent a whole year trying to switch out of a class I didn't need unsuccessfully.
Not every school has the same clubs or programs. I joined a youth symphony in a city 45 minutes away because my school didn’t have one. We also didn't have a swimming pool, and things like rugby or lacrosse weren't a thing. I wasn't aware of a GSA club or anything, we mostly had robotics, language clubs, and yearbook. The yearbook is designed mostly by students, and they are not free, they're like $20-30.
So there's a bit more info!
As someone who has never gone to school (been homeschooled all my life), I always wonder what school is like.
Here are a list of questions I wanna know
Are there the groups of popular kids, jocks, nerds etc.
Do kids have breakdowns in class cause of work (I would definitely)
Are parties like a thing? Does a kid have a huge mansion where they invite everyone to?
What’s the food like? Do you buy your own? Bring it to school in a paper bag? Is it good?
What’s the wildest thing that’s ever happened at your school? Do people really hook up/make out in storage cupboards?
What are school schedules like? Do you have to sit at a desk your entire day? How do you manage? Do you sleep in class? Do you cheat on your tests? How?
What about teachers? Are teachers pets a thing? Do you like your teachers?
I have so many questions and I never get good answers out of my school educated friends...
(Feel free to ask me homeschooling questions if wanted...)
