"Put your hands together, Inkopolis!" Pearl crows into her mic, the ocean of pink-teal lights below her roaring its approval. "The moment you've been waiting for--hit it, Marina!"

Marina slides her claws down her keytar, striking the opening keys to Muck Warfare.

Their fans, impossibly, get even more hyped. It's hard to tell with her eyes half-closed, but she thinks she spots someone crying in the front row. Their excitement is the best kind of validation, a feedback loop that has Marina sinking to her knees like a real rock star, throwing her entire body into her playing.

And Pearl, who has always lived for attention, eats it all up. She shimmies across the stage, tossing her head to the roars of the crowd. She's giving their fans the full MC Pearl experience, all quick clean movements and sharp smiles, but even on stage, there are some things that Pearl saves for Marina alone. Marina doesn't need to see to know when Pearl is near, and doesn't flinch at the blazing heat of Pearl's small, blocky hand brushing across her shoulders.

"Freakin' amazing, 'Rina," Pearl murmurs, for her ears alone, before dancing back to their adoring audience.
