Recently joined a spideypool discord and. I'm not gonna lie. Not a single one of these people make either of these boys as queer as they are in my head. This is probably your fault by some metric.
most things to do with spideypool are my fault by some metric, and i take full pride ownership of that - i make it a point to leave my grubby, cheese-dusted fingerprints over everything.
it's kind of really funny to hear this line of thought, remembering back to all those years that spideypoolers hounded me for queerbaiting, when truly - even those days where wade and peter weren't boning, they truly had one of the greatest queerplatonic relationships of all time, and the straights just didn't get it. not everything that's queer has to be full-frontal with tongue. i love looking back at their no-homo era, because it is so undeniably queer still.
Tumblr media
there's a huge portion of the spideypool fanbase that are cis het, you know - not that there's anything wrong with that
Tumblr media
but it has always felt a little different than the way i go about queer ships, and the sort of perceptions i faced in the decade that i've been running ask-spiderpool. and while i've definitely left my mark and a lot of people love what i've done with the place - what i've done with the place has always kind of intentionally been counter-to the usual fandom perception of spideypool. so much that wade and peter are actually constantly battling off the creeps.
Tumblr media
i wrote it this way because i didn't like much of what i was seeing, and wanted something that catered to my weird taste. my taste for seeing just two unsexy losers who kind of don't know how to go about it. i wasn't in it for sexual gratification - kind of just here to make jokes about things i found funny. i found people fetishising wade and peter really funny, considering how unattractive and slobbish they are in my head. and now i find the concept of labels and sexuality and people trying to define them kind of funny, and that's what i'm exploring now.
it helps to be an insider, i guess. that's the big difference I find, from reading a lot of gay fanfiction, or gay media in general. you can tell if it's written by an insider, or an outsider. and me - i just love something confusing, sincere and messy when it comes to sexuality. just like me.

I had this drafted around elaingate, and now that my fever has finally broken, I can piece together my thoughts on the absurdity that is this fandom and the rhys week tamlin and rhys' sister piece debacle. Because, of course, no one has learned anything from elaingate to now, and it's time to wake up and smell the coffee.
If there's one thing about this fanbase that I've noticed so far, it's that people will accidentally tell you exactly who they are in the most embarrassing way possible. What's the main takeaway in the overlap of the rhys week drama and elaingate?
Art, purity culture, and "victimhood." And people deciding who does and doesn't get to fall under the latter.
The thing that I appreciate about elaingate (and I guess Rhysgate??) happening is that it outs the people in this fanbase who don't see art that doesn't cater to them as having same rights as the art they do like/are comfortable with to be celebrated and appreciated in a community event about a character.
It outs people who only care about "protecting survivors" if their trauma conveniently matches what SJM believes to be abuse or trauma. It outs people as having the same performative inclinations of "protecting victims" as pro forced-birth/anti-choice pundits do. Rhysand’s sister, a nameless character, is the perfect "victim" to create an upheaval about because, like Elain, no one actually has to sacrifice anything or do any difficult self-reflection because fictional characters will never ask anything of you.
Remember this quote from Pastor David Barnhart? It's pretty relevant.
"The unborn are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn."
Rhys' sister and Elain are the perfect vehicle for people to feel like they're "morally just" for "protecting" from...Tamlin. And people creating specific dynamics between these fictional characters, too, I guess. Because they're evil or whatever, I suppose.
"But, Raven!" I'm sure some of you are already scrambling to say. "There are real people in this fandom triggered by Tamlin, and they were hurt! They were so upset/disgusted that they left the fandom because people cared more about fictional ships than their triggers/feelings!"
And I'm going to hold your hand while I say this as a fellow survivor of DV.
No one is responsible for my triggers and caring for my own mental health other than me. And that applies to everyone else in this fanbase, too.
It's my responsibility to curate my online experience as much as possible to my own needs. This space is voluntary to be a part of, and if I no longer feel as though it's conducive to my mental health overall, then yeah, it's probably best for me to leave. Same with everyone else who felt like they shouldn't be in this fandom space because of the elaingate upheaval.
If people rightfully pointing out that this fanbase is extremely conservative and aligned with purity culture and morality policing to the point where art is policed in relation to celebrating a character during their own week is too much for someone because of the narrative around one of the characters involved...then yeah, it sounds like this isn't a good environment for them anyhow.
There's no judgment to be passed on the side rightfully saying this fandom is fucked up, whether or not people are ready to hear that. People saying art that features Tamlin in relation to another character event still has a right to be celebrated so long as that character in the event is depicted has no bearing on whatever real person Tamlin represents to the people that were triggered.
There's only so many ways people can actually be realistically protected from content that triggers them, and tagging is the most consistent way to do so. If the protection of tagging triggering content somehow still isn't enough for people when they might happen upon art depicting a character for one day out of a one-week period maybe is also still too potentially triggering for them, then maybe being in a fandom space isn't the best for their overall mental health and stepping away from it isn't a bad thing.
(And that's all without getting into why its totally fair for peoppe to question how true that ""stance"" of "protecting survivors" actually is when the Elain Week event's tagging system is consistently ignored and not used to actually protect survivors from triggering content. It's interesting how people spent more time angry at people who were adamant about the right to celebrate art instead of the event itself for not having a remotely thorough tagging system. How are you "protecting survivors" from triggering content, including yourself as the event runner, without tagging anything from character names to triggering content/events someone might view? Let's not forget how wide-spread triggers are, too. People have trigger warnings for content involving eyes or spiders due to phobias, not just events that they might have personally experienced, like violence.)
Back to the main point, however.
Issues like these out people as not understanding that creativity means bending the rules of canon however you want, because these are characters, not real people. But real people are making this art, and its value and worthiness of being celebrated is not up to anyone's personal discretion (including event runners) even in situations of discomfort.
It's a shame that the first upheaval happened regarding Elain since she's rarely appreciated outside of her ships anyway, but this Hell-hole of a fandom has had this coming for a while now. This is an absurdly conservative, rigid-to-canon, puritannical fandom, and unfortunately, Elain Week was the match that started this fire.
As a writer, I'm always going to have a hard stance on this because appreciating and celebrating art does not end where my personal likes and comforts do. Appreciation does not look the same for everyone, and just because it's not how you would personally celebrate a character does not mean it stops being appreciation or celebration. Your preferences are not and never will be the end-all-be-all of artistic appreciation in a fandom space. If you don’t see that, the block button is right there, and I've been using it very liberally.
You either stand for all of fandom integrity and creative works, or you don't deserve to be in this space. And I will very happily remove you from my space here since, as far as I'm concerned, you don't deserve to be in mine, either.

Your cock goes through more bouts of stimulation in these minutes than your other body parts have ever felt in their lives. It suffers—or rather, enjoys, the feel of your fist bobbing up and down its girth as you imagine that your hand is not actually itself, but rather, your favorite idol's cunt.
"Oh, oh, fuck! Fuck, Kim Chaewon, you're so tight!" you yell out, speaking out loud to her in spite of knowing she won't hear you.
Yes, that is her name. You have never felt more of a degenerate and a blushing schoolgirl at the same time. This fourth generation idol does things to you. She's an adorable girl, but it's inevitable to see the hot side to her. As the concepts of her group, IZ*ONE, matures along with the members, she does, too. She becomes even more attractive.
You'd close your eyes to picture her bouncing on your cock better, but that would rob you of seeing the looped muted videos playing on your computer: Chaewon sensually gyrating her ass side to side, in accordance with the choreography of the most recent IZ*ONE comeback: Panorama.
Oh, she knows what she is doing. The smug look reflecting in her eyes, her smile... no one can tell you that Chaewon doesn't know the effect she has on her fans. What, with that tight little body and ass, she can send each and every one of the fans who adore her to heaven. Hell might be a better place for you since you love to lust over this girl so much, but you don't care one bit. You'd set yourself on fire if it meant a chance with her.
In short, and to keep all those pathetic statements, you are a big fan of Kim Chaewon. Too big of a fan, you know, but it is what it is. She's too attractive of a girl to not do... this.
As the videos transition to a new outfit and new angles, you close your eyes and let your mind run wild. What if....

"Oppa, are these shorts too tight on me?"
No. Well, actually, yes. You purposely styled her navy blue shorts that way so it accents her hips and butt, to appeal to the fans. It's your job as her stylist to design good outfits for her that fit the comeback concept and also pleasure the eyes and flesh, but now, it has backfired. The plan you have made is slowly starting to take you as its victim, too.
Chaewon raises the shorts higher, smoothing her fingers on the fabric as it wraps around her tiny body. Your mouth practically waters.
Chaewon, with her dark blue hair curled and cheeks blushed, snaps her fingers in front of your face. "Hello? Hellooo? Oppa, you good?"
"Y-yeah!" you say nervously. Laugh a little at yourself because of how weak you particularly are around Chaewon. You're a professional stylist—you are blunt, but charming enough for richer customers like those from Swing Entertainment, and most importantly: professional, but cool enough for the idols to pull jokes around you.
However, you are none of those things. At least, not in front of Chaewon whom you cannot seem to put your work personality on for. You get along with Eunbi and the other members professionally just fine. Yena has even become one of your best friends. So why can you never act right around her?
"Ohhh." Chaewon draws out the word with a sense of understanding. Afterwards, she sets her hands on her hips and smiles knowingly. "You're one of them now."
"Huh? One of who?"
"One of those fans. Those fans who never want to do anything but worship my body. That's who."
You feel a little guilty now. Have you overstepped on her boundaries? Yes, it is your job to cater to IZ*ONE's male-dominated fanbase, but that does not mean you have to become like them, too. No, you only admire Chaewon in a proper manner. You like her because she is pretty and has a sweet voice, not just because of her body!
Her body that is just so hot and tight...
Chaewon leaning over one of the dressing tables and wiggling her ass is no help at all. She giggles profoundly, as if her doing that was a completely innocent thing, and smiles again. "What if," she says, and pauses, letting the suspense take over, " I let you? "
Is she serious?
You have no time to think about it. As if you were controlled by a perverted puppetmaster, you walk over and smack Chaewon's ass. She gasps deliciously, biting her lower lip, whether for more seduction or simply her libido is unknown. But you set that thought aside to take it all in: how Chaewon's buttcheek feels so soft yet firm at the same time, completely spankable; the wet spot your fingers touch on as you slap her ass and part of her center. Chaewon is as needy as she is evil, so her eyes send you a request. Without words, you understand what she wants you to do.
But foreplay is essential. Taking this into consideration, you close the distance between you till it is almost nonexistent. Her thighs feel great in your palms. You've never noticed how pretty they are before. Pale and thick, they feel like pillows beneath your touch. They are sensitive as well; Chaewon whimpers softly while you take your sweet time with them.
"Yes, I've wanted to fuck you for so long, oppa~" she confesses out of the blue. The mirror reflects your actions performed onto Chaewon's beautiful figure. Most importantly, they show her face: the makeup for the comeback performance makes her siren eyes look even more seductive. Her lips are painted a perfect ruby red. "Everytime I saw you arrange the clothes for the girls, and how passionate you are about everything, I felt so... needy. I've wanted you since the day I met you."
"That makes two of us," you chuckle softly. Kiss her back as gently as you can, somehow assuring yourself through it that you can hold yourself back from ravaging her immediately.
The day you met Chaewon enters your mind. She still uses the same perfume from that day. She had worn an adorable blue and strawberry red sailor-themed dress. You loved its design, so you had reached her, complimented her performance and how she looks in it, and asked who made it for her. When she replied that she had designed and sewn it herself, you were surprised. You already knew that Kim Chaewon is talented, but you somehow forgot that her capabilities are also strong outside of vocals and dance.
She looked adorable. You were both the same age with big dreams that were just recently attained. And now... she looks beautiful. She has always been pretty, but there is a mature side to her now. If you were to be a little more explicit... hot?
"Did you know, Chaewon, that I put a very special feature in these shorts?" you ask, grinning. Feel around her crotch area to render her moaning needily.
"Mm, and what is it?" she asks. Her eyes are closed. They flutter wide open suddenly. "Oh!"
You've inserted a finger inside her. Her wet walls tense due to the unexpected intrusion. Smirk as you explain: "I added a secret zipper. Just so I can fuck you safely whenever I get the chance."
"Mmm, oh..." Chaewon rides your finger in dizzying circles, head thrown back. And it is so much hotter to watch her in motion in the mirror—it reflects the need in her eyes, the talented sway of her hips, and most importantly, her rounded mouth when she lets out her beautiful moans. "W-what's stopping you then, oppa? Why don't you just take me?"
Quicken the wiggle of your finger inside her to reach the right spots. Chaewon gasps out girlishly, looking back at you as if she expects you to just get to it. That's how most of her fans would have done, but you are no ordinary fan of hers. You are her stylist, someone she trusts and someone she actually wants to fuck her.
"It's just so fun to tease you. Look at Chaewonie all red and blushing."
She does. She gazes in the mirror and sees her own flushed face, and becomes redder. Since when did she become this horny for anyone? There's been the occasional boy toy here and there, yet she always finds herself wanting you.
"Please, oppa," she begs, with a cherry on top. Her own cherries must have been rock hard under her bra right now. They poke through the fabric, not protrudingly enough to show an imprint, but still tweakable. They are your findings in the experiment that is "Explore Kim Chaewon: erect, yet soft tempting things that slide against your palm.
Stop fingering her for a while to smack her ass again. This time, you do not hold back. Its impact sends Chaewon's hips jerking forward. She cries out in pain, but your focus is on the way her fat ass cheeks ripples in your hand.
"Say it again," you command firmly. Your eyes seal onto the reflections of Chaewon's in the reflective glass. She whines, not knowing what to do being put in a situation like this, so you spank her again. "Say it again, Chaewon-ah."
"Oppa, can you—pretty please?—fuck my ass?"
Her words are the perfectly written code to trigger the following events: the zipper being wrung even higher, and your cock sliding up into Chaewon's asshole. The tightness is overwhelming; all the lube you've used is the natural wetness from her cunt.
Now, Chaewon arcs her back and screams. Her virginal asshole is not used to your size nor girth, but the pain only extracts more juice from her cunt. It is even wetter than from when you fingered her. She bites her lip in order to quiet herself down, but you slam into her ass harder, knocking her into the table.
"Ah! Oppa!"
"Scream louder," you command. Grasp her by the waist and start to pound her fervently. The puckered hole just grips you so well. What else can you do but let it? Hell, even make it?
Chaewon whimpers. "But what if someone hears? Oppa!" She screams again because of your cock roughly jerking to the depths of her ass, amplifying the pleasure that warms her whole body.
"Let them, they might even join in on the fun."
Chaewon considers this, and you can tell that deep inside, she has to confess that she likes the idea. Imagining someone coming in as you pound her before the mirror in the salon... it is a fantasy that she has not even considered.
She gasps as you add your fingers inside her cunt again. Her gasp turns into a wail; she's being fille din both holes simultaneously, and you are in no way being gentle. Your fingertips dig into a rougher texture, making Chaewon cry out. That is how you know you've reached her G-spot. Start to rub into that spot more and kiss her delicate neck and ears. Capture her earlobe with your teeth and increase the speed of your drills.
"Mm, ahh, fuck, oppa!" Chaewon wails needily. The penetration from both holes is becoming too much. She is just being stretched too well. All her sensitive places are being overstimulated. But she can't cum now! Not when you're jerking into her so perfectly and her mouth is lewdly slack as she watches herself in the mirror. Not when your cock stretches her tight asshole so perfectly that it is nearly agape!
"No, no, can't cum yet!" Chaewon's ass sways just like the part of the choreography you've watched for so long, again and again. "Can't cum y-yet—ahhh!"
Girl cum floods your hand like a storm. Chaewon's scream of pleasure is the thunder. The lightning speed of her body squirming and bucking into yours brings you to your orgasm, too. Her asshole has become incredibly tight despite the stretch your cock has made, wringing ribbons of cum from its tip and filling her ass with semen.
Such a shame that this has to end. You want to stay in the heavens of her ass forever.
Deftly pull out with pants that mirror Chaewon's. Her shorts are now ruined. Her creampied ass wets the fabric along with her own cum. It's filthy—you know you should be angry that her need to be ruined has done its own way of ruining the shorts you've painstakingly sewn and designed, but in that moment, you don't mind. You don't mind one bit.
±
That's your first orgasm for the night. Your cum has spurted all over your shorts and shirt. You are beyond exhausted; you have been wanking off to Chaewon all night, and your mind has gone to places you never knew could reach.
You can't move nor speak, so instead, you look at your desktop wallpaper of her in the background. She is beautiful—her tongue is cutely stuck out as she mimicks a Kuromi expression. A picture that is supposed to be cute suddenly gives you an idea again.
Sigh and wrap your hand back on your cock. Here we go again.
±
Tumblr media
"You're just so boringgg! Why can't we do it?"
If you were a different person and were told that those words came from a five-year-old girl spoiled by overly adoring parents, you would have believed it. But you aren't a different person and Chaewon isn't five; she's twenty-fucking-two years old and your girlfriend.
It's the weekend, and Chaewon has decided, because you are home, to be brattier than ever. You know your endless scolding and spankings won't stop her because she thrives on those like a little devil with each sin you make, so you try to ignore her loud complaints as you go through your phone.
She sits on the floor, legs folded beneath her, throwing another temper tantrum. You're used to it, but it still annoys you to no end.
"Why can't we do it?" she whines, slapping your knee. "Other couples do it a lot! But you won't let me!"
You ignore her, subtly rolling your eyes and scrolling through your phone. Cool, another funny dog video. But that doesn't evoke a laugh from you; you're too riled up by Chaewon to even chuckle.
You know what she's asking from you, and you are not about to give in.
It's not that you don't want to, per se; it's that you are afraid that it might hurt her. Even if she begs for it day or night, you aren't sure you can go ahead without hurting her.
Despite Chaewon's brattiness (both in and out of your sex life), you still love her and would not want to put her in pain.
"Why can't you put it in my ass too? Are you scared?"
Yeah, that's correct: Kim Chaewon has been begging you to do anal. You know it sounds ridiculous that she has to plead for it from you, but you have your reasons.
Reasons that you are having difficulty keeping.
But you roll your eyes. Fine, you'll bite.
Place your phone down on the sofa, your eyes trained on her with a squint. "Chaewon, I'm tired of this."
"I am too!" she fires back.
"And I'm not scared, Chaewon."
"Oh? Then fuck me."
"Easy," you say, licking your lips. You are about to reach for her when Chaewon shakes her head.
"Uh-uh! You don't just fuck me…I want you to fuck me in the ass."
You should have seen that coming. The little brat.
but if she wants it that bad…
Your mind is a large fire of frustration. Your girlfriend is being the most annoying person on Earth right now, and the pent-up tension between the two of you isn't helping at all. Not one bit.
Your hands quivering, you grab Chaewon without thinking and throw her on the sofa. She screams, whether out of excitement or actual fear is unknown to you. You simply wring her panties and shorts from her legs, finally giving in after abstaining from it for so long.
"Fuck, oppa, what are you doing?" Chaewon asks. Her legs are pushes back in the air. She gasps when you blow cold air all over her pussy, and the round brown hole that has barely been used.
"Lubing you up, what else?"
Chaewon moans with pleasure when your lips connect with her lower ones. Your tongue slides over her lips, flicking her clit, and licking its sensitive form repeatedly.
Chaewon practically quivers from gratification. She lies back to enjoy your oral attack, but you aren't about to give her a gentle way in. Not at all. You grab her thighs and wildly wiggle your tongue inside her, lapping up the juices that eventually start flowing. Lick from the bottom a stripe that finishes sharply on her clit, before trying out something new.
Your tongue prods against her brown hole. "Oh!" Chaewon screams, hands on her mouth as she watches you. She loses sight of you; she can only see stars as this oddly new sensation ripples through her body. Would she like it? Or would she regret asking you to expand your horizons in bed?
Your tongue eases in through the tight hole and backs out, too. It isn't quite anything like you expected. She tastes... delicious? Her juices flow down to her peach and make it easier to eat it, adding to the delicious flavor that is and only is Kim Chaewon.
"Fuck, oppa, you eat my ass so well!" cries out Chaewon. Her asshole tightens around your tongue, but you continue to lick and lap. All the while, your nose also provides constant stimulation to her clit with unintended but welcome rubs.
Chaewon's thighs crash into your head. You actually start to run out of air. You have kept at alternating eating out her ass and pussy, have become so inmersed in eating her out that you forget yourself. Inhale sharply through your nose and let her feminine scent invade your senses, just like how your tongue does to the wet and tight cunt and her unexpectedly delicious ass. It doesn't help that Chaewon keeps wiggling her cunt in your face, forcing you to continue eating her out with no break. Your plan of not giving her rest throughout this session has backfired on you, too.
Luckily, Chaewon is close. She announces it loudly, breath catching in her throat, before she screams loudly. She suddenly tears at your hair and forces you to keep your tongue wildly wiggling in both of her holes, sliding over her erogenous zones and filling them both. It is too much for a one-guy job, and you aren't too sure you can handle it. You aren't sure if you can handle her.
You start to spank Chaewon's thighs wildly, a sign for her to back out. You fire angry slaps at her ass too, but no matter how red and sore they become, they remain around your head. She's desperate, now, but you are, too. Who will win this game? Chaewon, who is squeezing her own breasts and lying back on the sofa pillows moaning, or you—her good-for-nothing daddy?
It's obvious now. Daddies always give in. Might as well do so in a way that pleasures you, too.
Soon, Kim Chaewon is upside-down. She is slobbering all over your cock, diligently blowing its girth, while you give your all into eating her cunt out. You groan; you forgot how good she is at giving you head. Such a pity you are out of breath to praise her. At least your hips are diligently knocking into that cute little face, causing her to gag wildly.
±
Wow.
You are stunned at the thoughts your own mind can create. The clarity of it all makes your nth orgasm less intense. Although you have had your head full of thoughts about Kim Chaewon—her bending over and letting you take her ass, and her being bratty as you eat her out—only one thought remains clear:
I should become a smut writer.
You have read them before, and it is possibly that which has led to all this feral feelings over Chaewon. You have fantasized a lot before, but you have never actually considered writing them down or posting them.
Perhaps you could—no, you should—write them down. Maybe someone out there will like them enough. Tumblr is always a good place to start.
Determined, you wipe yourself down and clean your place up. You log into your barely touched Google Documents account, add a fresh new document, and start to write.

Ronnie Radke stans are some of the most annoying people I swear like they honestly might just be more annoying than king baby Ronnie himself and of course they all believe that the reason why people hate Ronnie is because they have pronouns and coloured hair like mother fuckers this dude LITERALLY came from a subculture full of teens with dyed hair and that was/is pro LGBTQ like of course we are against him like why are these people so surprised?
His stans are also mostly conservatives which makes sense why they aren't the brightest. They are reactionary individuals so of course they would love someone who is also that way and goes against cancel culture (the cancel culture in question is people just bringing up the shitty things Ronnie has said and done).
Sort of a side note but if a person brings up cancel culture when others bring up the bad things they have done in the past or accusations than I'm definitely going to be side eyeing their ass.
Ronnie comes off as just some manchild and I'm not surprised that he has the fanbase he does since he comes off as reactionary like this man can't even handle it when some teenager calls him out even though that used to be his target audience but now his fanbase is made up of MAGA chuds that cry, piss and whine about marginalized communities.
And what sucks is that this dude can actually be likeable at times and entertaining but instead he continues starting fights with other bands and has Blaire White who is a transphobe in one of his music videos. If most of your dick riders are right wing losers than eventually Ronnie will fade away. Nothing good comes out of having conservatives as your fanbase. Absolutely nothing and I will be here waiting for this dudes downfall once he realizes that he doesn't want to cater to those types of people anymore.
I want to make it very clear on this page that I don't like this dude and what he stands for and the community he has fostered and if you come here trying to argue or say some shit like "but he is so talented" blah blah blah whatever you are going to get blocked. I'm not talking about his music, I'm talking about him as a person and his fanbase and if you can't stand a person talking negatively about him and his fans 1. Stop stanning and riding celebrities dicks and 2. Just scroll on, it's that simple.

Thank you for being sane in a sea of insanity, every time i see these games discussed on the western web it's always about how it's fine because korean feminists are "different" and very "extreme" and name dropping how there's a huge feminist goddesses cult behind the government (????). And this information is always shared uncritically and taken as fact.
Thank you for cataloging these issues in english and summarizing controversies.
Thank you, yeah seeing this rampant and often patronizing misinformation is frustrating. The fact that it is said with such conviction is so shameless. I wanted to have a place where all contemporary feminist ideological verification information could be accessed so the reader could get a better understanding of who is attacking these women/feminism and why. I’m not arrogant enough to claim I understand everything just from reading and watching the evolution of this movement since around 2016, this is like absolutely nothing compared to actual residents obviously, and there is of course a salient conversation to be had regarding bigotry like trans/homophobia and racism within the movement but, especially for everything posted here, this is clearly not the reason these misogynist men attack women. We can literally see their thought process in real time for a lot of these cases. They see anything that resembles 🤏 (this part doesn’t even need to happen in some cases, simply the fact that a Korean woman worked on a product is enough like with the Genshin Impact character designer) ➡️ they look for any woman working for the company that makes this product ➡️ whether she has produced the “offending” content doesn’t matter, they target her and trawl through her social media (including private/deleted/old posts) looking for any mention of women’s rights ➡️ no matter how innocuous the post (campaigning for equal pay and enjoying the women’s day google doodle in the case of the Arknights artist) they throw a shitfit and claim this is misandry ➡️ most often the company will grovel, delete the “offending” content and write a simpering apology to their fanbase that frequently will specifically name feminism itself (and not any sort of bigotry) as some dividing force. The incels engaging in this behavior do it because they hate women. They are a group who are violently misogynistic, racist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, you name it. But instead of being censored, ideologically verified and referred to as a “dividing force” of the South Korean population, they are instead given rapt attention by businesses and have their whims catered to while the women they target lose their jobs, have the “feminist stigma” attached to them while looking for work, are often stalked and harassed and blamed for their own misfortune caused by others. We see this play out pretty much every time and yet there are always people on the western web posting things like “feminists are crazy over there vellmori was fired because she was in the feminist cult, this is normal since feminism is terrorism in Korea” because they read a twitter post or scrolled through namuwiki or whatever. People want to believe this so they do and make it their truth. In their minds these women deserve it. This is to say nothing of the condescension in believing you know the full story of a movement from half-remembering secondhand information or watching a video essay. It drives me crazy seeing this so often, so if this blog can be helpful then I’m happy. Thank you for your message

I dont think Tish is even gonna say anything. She been in her own little world sometimes and really act like she don’t know that people wanna hear from her. So if anything her publicist might make her post something, but it’s gonna be a generic response. Granted, we don’t know who made this decision. It could have been Letitia. Maybe she is double booked with projects and can’t commit to this anymore. But if she was actually dropped I don’t think she’ll say much. She dgaf what we think anyways.
I’m gonna use this ask to say something just because I want to put some things into perspective.
Wether she cares or not is above me, but I need us to be realistic and look at things objectively. I’m just gonna jump right into it and say what I mean. We as in Letitia’s lesbian fanbase did not make her career. We made her a trend. As in we gave her generic fame that was always going to be unsustainable. The only way she could’ve rode that wave is if she became almost an influencer and she was NEVER gonna do that.
If you take away the edits and all the lesbians and straight women alike who walked out of that theatre and thought she was fine and look at the actual reviews you’ll notice that she wasn’t recieving rave reviews. The type of fame she recieved from Wakanda Forever was finicky because it was based off her looks and that gets old quickly. Lots of people are attractive. So after she came down from the high and got back to work, I’m sure she realized, damn I’m not as liked as I thought and the vaccine thing was still very prevelant. There was a hard crash in her fame even before she stopped being as active.
So now. The fans that stopped being fans because of the vaccine still aren’t fans. The fans that stopped caring she was fine are gone. And now She has a new group of fans that think she’s attractive and they’re lesbians. Here’s where it gets sticky. She’s now in a position where people want to know about her sexuality. We don’t know if she ever intended to make that statement. And she has that right, because you know what…her career has nothing to do with her sexuality. She didnt come out and ask for a devout lesbian fanbase so how we feel entitled to her catering to that, I don’t understand.
We’ve proclaimed self hatred, her not knowing herself, and not caring, when in all honesty just living your life as a lesbian with out all the bells and whistles is the most authentic version of lesbianism if you ask me. Maybe that’s just apart of her she wants to keep for herself. I just want people to accept that that’s ok.
I question certain decisions about her personal life at times but let’s be real since Wakanda Forever she’s taken a lot more loses than wins. And she’s in a lot of lose lose situations. It’s hard to see and sounds easy to deal with when you’re not in her position. But I just wish her fans showed more of an out pouring of love for her projects outside of her being attractive in them. Then maybe she would interact more because her work is what she cares about.
I just feel like she needs to be loved on a bit right now for real.
And now I’m gonna add a statement from Queen B
Tumblr media
I feel like this maybe the way she feels.

I would guess the person is referring to fanfic being an offshoot of “fandom culture”, the kpop-ification of F1, etc., which people attribute mainly to female fans.
That’s an interesting point, cause why did f1 blow up (allowing a new fanbase) in the first place? There was a significant shift within the fandom ever since DTS. A bunch of men turning a sport into a dramatic reality show, aiming for a bigger/ different audience. And not to forget the social media admins catering to a younger audience (also clearly a female audience with their constant thirst traps).
It’s ridiculous to see people blame young woman/ girls for writing fanfics (and making it harder for woman in Motorsports) because they have a crush on a driver if that’s literally half of f1’s marketing strategy at this point.
Well, I could talk for HOURS about this, but I think what it comes down to is again, the disconnect between fans and the people who have an actual vested interest in the sport. Because liberty media, the FIA, even the teams…they don’t care why people watch the sport. They just care that people watch it, because it makes them money, and from the team perspective it keeps them solvent and able to keep doing what they love. The people who actually do the thing don’t care whether girls on tiktok know what DRS is.
But as usual, your average fan doesn’t grasp this. They see themselves as the gatekeepers upholding the integrity of the sport. When the integrity is being sold to the highest bidder by the industry itself by a bunch of people who have happily embraced fan culture because it lines their pockets. “Purist” fans are literally on their own trying to make wheel knowledge important.
And I could go on and on AND ON about how spectator sports don’t actually have a culture to be proud of in the way the small minded fans think because dating back to Roman times gladiators had fangirls, and how car racing has always been a glamorous hobby for dilettantes, not some kind of Friday Night Lights grass roots school science fair that the Twitter fanboys who turn it on after watching the champions league football match think it is. I could also say how while everyone talks about the kpop-ification no one talks about the football-ification (the tribalism, the booing, the vitriolic criticism) of the sport which has also come from the new fan base. But anyway
The point is, no one except Joe Bloggs with his 300 Twitter followers (and Pick Me Emma who desperately wants his approval because she goes the F1 Arcade hoping to find a boyfriend that she can split bills with and she resents the fact that they don’t take her seriously because that’s every other woman’s fault and not her taste in men) cares who watches the sport and why. F1 is just trying to make money. These fans are protecting something that doesn’t exist

I think one of the most annoying and pathetic forms of misogyny in fandoms is when fanboys whine about creators/marketing teams/etc "pandering to the shippers/fangirls" or whatever like.
Bud.
You wanna know WHY creators are catering to us?
It's bc those "fangirls and shippers" are the ones making mountains of content, talking about the media they love, sharing things others make, praising the creators, and generally broadcasting their love for their Blorbos at top volume everywhere, all the time.
Of course we get pandered to. Because we're the ones being most vocal about our love and support for the characters/stories/creators we like!!! Because when the creators look at their fanbase they see that the ones that are bringing the most love and hype and creativity and community to their artform is US!
Don't like it? Salty that the fangirls' favorites are getting attention from the creators and not you?
Then stop being a little bitch, put your money where your mouth is, and start being loud and annoying about the things YOU like! Nobody is fucking stopping you! Maybe instead of being a sexist looking down on fangirls for being cringe and "taking over" your beloved media/fandom, you should put in the effort to promote YOUR favorites and make YOURSELVES into a demographic that the creators want to give fanservice to!
But no it's easier to just shit on the fangirls for being hormonal or delusional or whatever it's catchy to say, so instead of actually putting in effort people are gonna just fucking whine about it

i am this close to go into conspiracy territory, since we already know amc intervened with the season why wouldn't they even more so with the promo, because there is just no reason not to have the two actors who this season revolves around not have a shared interview. the articles that are getting published talk about their dynamic, the fans talk about their dynamic, ep 5 has catapulted the show to new heights, and yet the actors who are responsible for that still don't have a single interview together? wtf?!
I think one the problems is that amc seems to be trying to cater to the book fans first and foremost with its marketing. When adapting any piece of media is always a good idea try to get the goodwill of the original fans but you can't also rely on those fans, you need expand your fanbase. Tvc fandom is also relatively small, and a significant portion of it dislikes the show and will not change their mind no matter how many times you show them Lestat, and those who like the show are already on the board, they don't need further convincing. Much of the marketing is conducted like there's an assumption that viewers only care about few specific things that are the most popular among book fans (Lestat, loustat, Devil's Minion...) when actually most of the show fandom aren't book fans, and they're wasting opportunities to draw more people in. I don't think that they've realized that most viewers find other characters and relationships in the show as interesting as Lestat and loustat and they do in fact have patience to wait for a few episodes to see Lestat again. Iwtv being a gay horror show will probably never be a huge mainstream hit but there's still a big potential audience that hasn't been tapped into that might not even know that the show exists or what kind of show it really is. Like people who simply appreciate prestige television, horror fans, romance fans, black people and other poc who're excited to see well-written characters of color in lead roles. Like my mom would probably like this show if it's ever released here! Amc needs to start paying attention what kind of things are actually popular and talked about by viewers, and start trusting the talent of their writers and actors

What are your thoughts on all the contradictions from Elriels?
1. A Gwynriel book would be boring and nothing but Silver Flames 2.0 because we've already had the training/warrior falling in love story, but an Elriel book will be about him training her.
1 ½. Gwynriel is a creepy student/teacher dynamic but Azriel will teach Elain to be a spy.
2. The bonus chapter sets up a forbidden Elriel romance, but it also doesn't count because not everyone has read it.
3. Elain loves and accepts Azriel for who he is even though it's confirmed that she knows nothing about him torturing people.
4. According to several Elriels, Elucien and Gwynriel shippers are the minority in the fandom and Elriels are the majority but they also say that if Elucien and Gwynriel become canon, it will only be because sjm folded to pressure from fans. Why would an author bow to the whims of only a small portion of their fanbase?
I think an Archeron becoming a warrior while being mated to a Bat Boy is way more Feysand 2.0 than Gwynriel would be. First off, they all look very similar. Three golden brown haired females who are related with three dark haired winged fae who are "related" is giving off similar fanart. Second Gwyn is already on the path to becoming a warrior. Her story with Az would not involve her becoming a warrior at the same time they're falling in love, she's already begun the process of becoming a warrior without him (and her initial training was given by Cassian). Elain returning TT and not looking back but suddenly training from scratch with Az to become a warrior / spy in the next book while falling in love is Feysand 2.0. Besides, Az already has prior commitments to training the Valkyrie. Whether some like it or not, Gwyn will be a regular presence in his book and it would be a little odd to have her saying things like, "See you tomorrow Shadowsinger" while Elain stands there......doing what, I'm not sure. Because she is not going to be a Valkyrie, that I can almost guarantee. And the teacher / student dynamic is a pretty consistent thing in SJMs books, Rowan / Aelin. Feyre / Rhysand. Nesta / Cassian. I can't believe that's even an argument. You are right! Az confirms Elain has no idea the things he's done and Elain has never been on page for any of the moments that reveal his true darkness and rage. She wasn't there when he tortured the soldiers (Feyre was and even she was bothered). Elain wasn't there when Az said "good riddance" if Graysen ended up dead. Elain wasn't there when he couldn't admit to Rhys that he was over Mor. Elain wasn't there when he demanded that the Cauldron must be wrong even though we've got no confirmation that Elain wants Az as a mate. Elain wasn't there when Az said she shouldn't be exposed to the Darkness of the Trove but was cool if Nesta was. Honestly, I think Elain would be extremely turned off if she'd witnessed even half of those things. From the many polls I've seen, E/riels don't even make up 35% of the fandom so I'm unsure why they think Gwynriels / Eluciens combined are the minority. Now, the fandom is only a small percentage of all those who actually read this series so we don't know what the actual numbers are but based on how E/riels don't seem to make up half of the most dedicated fans of her work, I'm not sure where they're getting off claiming they are the majority. As far as fan service, I don't think you can claim an Elucien endgame is SJM catering to fans when she was the one who decided to mate them in the first place. When she is the one who had Lucien think of Elain as the most beautiful female he'd ever seen. When she is the one who spoke of them on vacation together. When she is the one who changed Lucien's father to Helion and had Elain say she needs Sunshine. When she is the one who had Lucien claim he was a mated male and has forgone all other female companionship, remaining loyal to Elain and only Elain for two years.

Challengers is going to be such a stepping stone for Z. Like both Mike and Josh are unknown actors ngl so the pressure is on for her marketability international to sell seats. My production is the film is going to make 400 million. What do you think? Also, what are your opinions, especially after taraj p henson's outcry about black actresses not getting lead roles and studios' opinions that black lead films do not sell well outside a franchise. The last black actor I could thibkvof that had that universal appeal was Will Smith.
Yes! I'm excited Anon!! 😊
FINALLY!! A film led on her own on the big screen. 😁🙌🏾 I'm actually glad that Z went the more gradual route and honed her acting talent for years on TV (with Euphoria) and doing several smaller parts as a costar on the big screen in large films before tackling a huge film on her own where she's the lead.
I think that was very smart and strategic imo.
As far as box office numbers? Ooof....I honestly don't know girl lol. I'm the worst person to predict that.... Especially since it's not often that we see a woc in a role like this opposite TWO white men lol 😆
Roles like this USUALLY go to white girls, so I'm honestly not sure what the box office numbers will do tbh. 🤷🏾‍♀️ But Z has a HUGE fanbase, so I def don't think it will be a "flop".
That film "Anyone But You" seems to be getting butts in the theaters (at least, around my area 👀), and Sydney and Glen are not huge box office draws on their own. I think people just like the plot premise and want a light hearted rom-com. 🤷🏾‍♀️
I can see similar audiences being interested in "Challengers" as well, especially if they market the film right.
Re: Taraji....
I def think Taraji was speaking TRUTH. Hands down. There is a lot of inequality in Hollywood.
On one hand, YES, I DO think that some black films DO have a hard time getting worldwide appeal just simply due to racism factors, and society in general. Another issue too though is that a lot of Hollywood studios just don't spend the same kind of money on Black actors and Black films when it comes time for promotion, sooo how are Black films supposed to do well overseas when you're barely sending them overseas to promote, and are barely spending money to generate hype for the films??
Tumblr media
Yes, Will Smith had crossover appeal, Denzel had/has crossover appeal, etc... But one of the reasons why Will has crossover appeal is because look at the types of films he's been doing in his career. For many years he was in large films that had a diverse cast that would have gotten a lot of attention and promotion anyway. Plus, he's charismatic asl! Say what you want about Will Smith, but it's undeniable that he has a charm and an energy about him that's larger than life. Def "movie star" energy. That also helped his worldwide appeal.
This is a very deep question Anon, because on the other hand, I honestly don't think that Black films CAN'T do well overseas/worldwide (look at "Black Panther" and "Get Out" for example).
But I def feel like it depends on many various factors....
The film genre
The cast
The money to back up promotion
The plot of the film
HOW the film is marketed
One of my biggest issues sometimes with HW is that they've made films with a predom. Black cast into a term called "Black Films", as if they should be a genre in their own right, when in reality, they're just FILMS that just so happen to have a predominantly Black cast, and should just be treated like any other film out here imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️
There shouldn't be one way to market one film with a certain race of cast members, and a separate way to market films with another set of cast members. 🤔
Another gripe is that a lot of films that are catered to us usually focus on struggle, racism, slavery, etc.... and while there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with films like that, sometimes it's nice to see a predom. Black cast in a film in a genre like adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, light-hearted rom-com, horror, ROMANCE, thriller, action, etc. 🤷🏾‍♀️
Not all of us (even as Black people) want to see struggle in the screen all the time. Many people go to the movies to ESCAPE.... not to be reminded of how awful life is lol. 😅
I def feel like well-written, well-acted, and well-promoted films can do pretty well regardless of the cast demographics.
That's one thing I've been appreciating about A24.... They've been taking risks, and things have worked out pretty well for them. I look at films like "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once", and "Moonlight" for example. Both smaller, indie films, but both had Oscar appeal and won Academy Awards for Best Picture.
So, films with a Predominantly Black cast CAN succeed, even worldwide, I just think that there are a lot of factors that have to be in place, and one additional factor is people of other races needing to be more OPEN-minded and willing to watch more films with predom. Black actors.
Jmho 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

Speaking as someone who has no option but the sky sports commentary, if you don't think they're biased you're wrong. I've watched F1 my entire life so just over two decades. The rights have changed from ITV to BBC to Sky in that time and the bias has always been there but as Sky Sports has the main English speaking F1 content in the age of social media, the bias is significantly more harmful.
Fans get to be biased. Commentary is supposed to be unbiased and impartial. Yes a driver's home country's commentary will undoubtedly be biased in favor of them and no commentary is completely free from bullshit takes, however the British commentary is held up as the "proper" one, it caters to more of the fan base than any other and is heralded as the home of F1. They continuously spread misinformation, are unable to remain impartial for the roughly two hours of races we get and are unable to not stir shit for views. British drivers and teams that have British drivers are held to a completely different standard.
And it's not just Red Bull or Max affected. I'm basically crying out for literally any info on the likes of Alex, Mick, Zhou, Yuki etc during race weekends but no I have to hear more about how Mercedes might actually have a chance at a win this time out which they've already discussed multiple times prior. Mercedes tend to get a free pass from criticism from the British commentators. Had any other team had "we deal with it in house" strategy in regards to punishing their drivers, the British commentators would absolutely lose it. But Toto giving stern talkings to Nico and Lewis whenever they crashed each other out (Spain 2016 for example) and to George after Imola 2021 (where he without question should've been held accountable by the FIA for hitting a fellow driver in the head after a crash when said driver's condition was still in question) is fine and goes by without question. Had say Ferrari pestered the FIA long enough in order to change rules and regulations (see changing the flooring regulations mid season this year or the pit stop rules mid season last year), they would be dogged by criticism and allegations of cheating. They've been silent about Mercedes doing the aforementioned. Meanwhile one of the alpha tauris or alpines or alfa romeos are starting from the pits but it's not deemed important enough to explain why until literally the last minute and we're getting underway. The way they talk about the likes of Checo and Yuki in particular have been disgusting and beyond insulting. It's far from impartial and it's nothing like real journalism. They criticize the FIA if they don't like a penalty (especially if it affects a British driver negatively) but, apart from Jenson Button, none of them saw the need to talk about the issue of the tractor on track during wet conditions with racing continuing under yellow flags at Suzuka. They often take quotes out of context to fit their narrative and often spread misinformation in order to uphold that narrative.
Some of you are too young or didn't watch F1 during the Schumi days or red bull era! Seb, but as someone who watched both and everything in-between and after, little has changed in regards to that bias. But as I've said before it's significantly worse in the age of social media. You're never free from trolls but spreading this bias as gospel truth leads to people believing it as such. The amount of harm that causes is horrific. I've seen racial abuse, death threats, body shaming, outright misogyny, and so much worse, directed at many drivers and many fans of said drivers both online and irl. They rightfully called it out at Austria. Yet they were almost entirely silent at Monza and at Silverstone. You don't get to cherry pick when it matters because it might fit your narrative because it always does matter and it is always wrong no matter who is directly affected or involved. No circuit or fanbase is perfect or free from bad eggs but to say that it was one driver's entire fanbase one weekend and that it was "just a few bad eggs" the next because it's a different driver's fanbase spreading abuse is clear evidence of inherent bias and double standards. You cannot pretend to be impartial while doing this.
I'm not going to sit here and say I'm without bias because I'm not. I don't have to be, however, because I'm a fan, not a commentator. They should be impartial for the length of the race weekend and be able to give an unbiased analysis on every driver and team. Can you honestly tell me that they are able to do so? I can set aside my biases and acknowledge if the drivers I support messed up or if a driver I'm generally indifferent to (I don't hate any driver, I don't get how people are so obsessed with hating on drivers they dislike) did well. I don't believe they can do the same, if they ever could because they've gone unchecked for years.
Also Sky Sports is the channel that used horrific crashes in ads to wish people a merry Christmas last year. They pulled the ad after rightfully receiving heavy criticism but I don't know if they ever apologized for it. I personally doubt it.

Hello!!! sorry if this is random and you probably wont see it anyway im guessing, but I wanted to apologize for any messages you get from those toxic davesport fans and shit like that :( I'm a davesport shipper myself but i hate to see other people shitting on others for not shipping davesport or if someone ships something else. this fandom is so small i dont even get how theres so much drama for absolutely nothing its actually fucking insane how sensitive people are in this fandom.
in my version of davesport (depending on how im feeling actually), they usually just act like good friends; not too close but not too far either. Yeah, they MAY have a crush on each other but I at least don't think jack would make it AS obvious. And honestly I don't think they would be very lovey-dovey too. The most I can see them doing canonically is holding hands very rarely or just giving each other a quick hug, normal shit friends do. Not full on making out and cuddling 24/7 stuff.
I've came across your account or whatever a few times on tumblr now and i just wanted to say I really appreciate your art!!! im guessing you also weren't very popular like other artists since you dont get talked about at all anywhere else, and thats a shame.
I apologize once again for writing all of this lmao i didnt mean for it to be so long but yeah I really wish you were more recognized in the dsaf community for good reasons obv! sorry if you dont like reading abt davesport either lol, i swear they're not all I talk about. if anything, i like talking about the kennedy siblings more, they never have enough content either.
nah its good m80 you dont have to apologize for people who wont apologize themselves for acting so deranged in the worst way possible i haven't received any hate messages or people attempting to argue with me about my opinion yet thankfully though so there's that! if people don't really vibe with me then its whatever they can just unfollow me if they don't like my unpopular thought processing... there's like literally hundreds of other fans who like that ship and i personally dont understand the people who make a big deal about other people hating it as if it were a cockroach infestation. davesport shippers are the majority here GRJKDKLS at this point i don't really care about getting a whole lot of recognition...i really only care about having this blog be a safe space for people who are more like me rather than trying to cater to the majority of the dsaf fanbase but thank you for saying that ! :) also i love the kennedy family sm even though i havent attempted to draw peter or rarely drew dee i love them very much and all three of them kinda remind me of myself in little ways

Louis has to talk a big game about himself and his songwriting abilities because he knows the art doesn't speak for itself. Real artists like Harry don't have to constantly repeat “as an artist“ when they speak or give their opinion on something. It's like those people who describe themselves as “honest“ all of the time. If you're really that honest, why do you feel like you need to keep reminding us?
I think Louis knows deep down that he can't sing and that he doesn't have that “star quality“. That's why he keeps focusing on his knack for honest lyrics. That's why he keeps reminding us that he was the one behind the songwriting for 1D's biggest hits (even though he likely only added a few lyrics here and there). I mean, you can delude yourself all you want, but if the whole industry and general public keeps on commenting that you can't sing and that you act like an asshole, then deep down you're going to know it's true.
There are minor changes he could make, but he doesn't think he owes his fans anything. He talks about how he wants to just be himself and for people to accept him for that. Well, fine, dude, but your “self“ is rude, pompous, and worst of all lazy. And he knows he's lazy too. He will never even bother to dress in a way that his fans like. He just throws on a tank top and sweats for thousands of paying fans just so he can be comfortable. In general, he values his own comfort over his popularity, which will be his downfall.
He could have gotten singing lessons. His voice would've never been as liked as Harry's because it's not deep, but he could've at least had an okay voice. Instead, it's like listening to a screeching pre-pubescent child.
He could have put on a fake persona like some artists do, or even just stepped away from social media completely and become “mysterious“ like his ex friend Zayn. That would've been a smart idea since he can't help but not keep his mouth shut and just pisses everyone off and curses at them.
He could have changed his style, even if it's not what he actually likes. He could have hired a stylist who will style him like a popstar and actually try to make him look attractive (as much as they can...). A large part of popstardom is about looking attractive whether he likes that or not.
He could have stuck to making EDM music since those songs gained more popularity than his Oasis copycat music does now. If popularity isn't what he's after, then whatever. Fine. He doesn't have to do anything I listed, but he doesn't get to complain about getting no radio play or not charting.
I mean, I don't even know if he could be considered an indie artist. He's just got a fanbase who like him because they were fans of him in 1D. Even indie artists get played on the radio once in a while, or their song trends on tiktok. At least popular indie artists like Chappell Roan or Troye Sivan. Louis doesn't keep getting new fans. He's like a throwback act. Most of his fans have been bere since 1D and he's not gaining any new listeners on spotify. There's no opportunity for growth because he doesn't try to make himself appealing in any way.
I just think he's making music as an excuse to tour and party, like you mentioned before. There's no other explanation for why an artist wouldn't TRY. He knows he has a dedicated fanbase and that's all he ever caters to. He knows they'll stick around through every “fuck you“ he throws their way, as his clothing choice, lack of attempt to remember song lyrics he supposedly wrote, lack of attempt to preserve his voice let alone train it to be halfway decent, and lack of stage presence all demonstrate.
He's truly just a rich, entitled brat paying for his own career so he can look like he has a modicum of success and so he can party and do drugs on his fans' dime, while he gives them nothing in return.
Brilliant summary of Floplinson's many failings! 👏👏👏

Notice anything consistent? if your answer is all 3 girls shown had their feelings explicitly expressed and confirmed by their own mouths and also third parties then you are correct.
Sumire’s feelings were confirmed by herself as well as Kawaki and Katasuke
Chocho’s feelings were confirmed by herself
Ada’s feelings were confirmed by herself, Code, and Shikamaru
Yet when you look at Sarada...theres zero confirmation of any kind neither by herself or anyone else.
I’ll elaborate, the question is asked but never answered, the topic is brought up but never addressed, Sarada will react but always deny or avoid not in a ‘omg I cant let my feelings be exposed’ way but in a ‘omg I really dont wanna talk about this right now’ way.
Ikemoto has confirmed 3 girls one sided feelings, so whats holding him back from doing the same for Sarada? ask yourself, what does he have to lose? BoruSara is the most popular ship so he would have more ppl celebrating him than he would hating him so theres no fear of major backlash if he did go all the way and confirm it so why not? its not like he couldnt still play the will they wont they game since Boruto’s feelings would still be unknown until the end so why not go for it? Ikemoto actually has far more to GAIN by making BoruSara semi canon than NOT so dont gimme that ‘hes just being careful and taking his time’ crap, that’d only fly if BoruSara was an extremely small ship with a very small fanbase which it isnt, so if theres any fandom he’d wanna commit to it’d be them.
So why hasnt he? what reason does he possibly have to hold back if this is truly the intended endgame? because it’ll be too obvious? so what, like I said BoruSara is the biggest fanbase so what harm does that do? you think Ikemoto is really gonna be THAT hurt by losing KawaSara, BoruSumi, MitsuSara, and BoruMitsu fans? hell no, same way Kishimoto wasnt hurt by losing NaruSaku, SasuHina, SasuKarin, and SasuNaru fans, that SasuSaku and NaruHina money was more than enough.
So I ask you again, WHY hold back when he has literally NOTHING to lose but EVERYTHING to gain? the answer is pretty obvious.
The only reason Ikemoto would be holding back is if he doesnt intend for BoruSara to be endgame, the only reason you would ever hold back to this extent but not on anything else is if you dont plan on making it a thing to begin with but you dont want to lose those supporters.
Let me put it this way, if Ikemoto catered to KawaSara and BoruSumi the ships he really wants canon and neglected BoruSara, what do you think is gonna happen? if you’ve seen any BoruSara fans statements you know they consider KawaSara and BoruSumi happening as ruining the series and feel that Kishimoto is ‘fixing’ his mistakes he made in Naruto [SS/NH canon] by making BoruSara canon [basically NS as it rightfully should’ve been in their opinion] and that doing otherwise will ruin Sarada and the series entirely [sounds familiar right?]
So what do you thinks gonna happen if Ikemoto made it clearer that KawaSara and BoruSumi were endgame and pushed Boruto and Sarada as just friends? obviously BoruSara fans, the biggest fanbase, will be furious with him and the backlash will be enormous, he’ll lose support, money, and the viewership will plummet drastically even more than they have already making it far more likely to get axed prematurely.
So what do you think he does to avoid that? obviously he caters to that fanbase, gives them little winks and nudges, just enough content to keep BoruSara fans hopeful and still reading, but refuse to give concrete confirmation from either side, and why do you think that is? because he has something else in mind.
For the record Im not saying I know for a fact KawaSara and BoruSumi are endgame, no I dont, Im saying if he IS planning on making them endgame then him avoiding confirming neither Boruto nor Sarada’s feelings but just keep teasing the possibility makes perfect sense.
He cant risk pissing off that fanbase because it’ll be a huge loss if he loses those viewers, so he gives them just enough to keep them around but never commits which makes no sense if BoruSara is endgame because he’d gain way more by confirming it than not, so the fact that he isnt just screams baiting until he’s ready to reveal his real endgame when he has nothing to lose.
So thats why I dont believe KawaSara and BoruSumi are dead yet, because the fact that Ikemoto wont commit to making BoruSara semi canon just screams bait and unlike them Im not fallin for it.
If Ikemoto eventually commits and confirms them semi canon I will say GGs then, but until then Im not takin the bait and remaining open minded until then.
