#this is the longest description of my head canon to date for this game

I love literally every single townie from the Realm of Magic game pack, even if the world was waaaay too small and the builds were trash. The Charm family is no different. I have played and replayed and had these characters pop up as important side characters in so many saves. So in this I’ll talk about what I usually do with them, and what I’m doing differently (if anything). If reading lots of words is not your jam, feel free to skip since it’s allll head-canon from here. Minerva: Look, she’s old af. She’s gonna die. I try to give her at least one grandchild before she officially bites it, and the first girl Emilia and Darrel have gets named after her. She’s still gonna die and the first girl will be named for her, but this time she’s going to be an absolute jerk. She’s going to be strict with both of her children, pushing them to do better, and she’s going to be really unimpressed with poor Emilia, who is new to magic and doesn’t come from an illustrious family. Then she dies and everyone is at first like “WHEW okay thank god” but then quickly devolves into aimless chaos without somebody always yelling at them to do stuff.  Gemma: For some reason, even though Darrel is older she gets listed right after her mom. Anyways, Gemma is gay. Before we got werewolves she got with Darling Walsh. Once we got the wolves, she got with Rory Oaklow every time because Rory is hot. They usually just adopt kids once they hit the Adult life stage, but this time they’ll probably have two science babies to see which occult genes win out. They live in Moonwood Mill because Gemma doesn’t like being in the Charm estate after her mom dies. Darrel: Maxis has done few sims dirtier than they did Darrel. And look, I am totally chill with goofy looking sims, I really am. But I’m supposed to believe that he somehow scored cutie-patootie Emilia and looked like that? I mean I guess Emilia isn’t a shallow girl but come on now. So he got a makeover that still kept some crucial features (lips, jawline, chin, cheeks, purple eyes). He even still got a big nose. He just looks less yikes to me because his eyes got switched up and his nose is less wtf. People can fight me on this, that’s fine. He was inspired by my mental image of High Lord of the Spring Court Tamlin from ACOTAR. ANYWAYS. Before I just decided to change his appearance (which I was opposed to do despite haaaaating his face), he used to die after ensuring at least one normal looking kid, usually from overcharge after dueling with L. Faba. That’s all he did. Now that he’s prettier, he gets to live on. Emilia: Initially, she bugged me. Her only flaw is clumsiness and she’s set up to be this try-hard in a fancy family of magical prowess, influence, and wealth. But then I gave her and Darrel a troubled and passionate relationship. After his mother’s death, he got addicted to dueling as a way to cope and was not paying attention to his magical charge. He and Emilia fought over it a bunch. Finally he promised to stop and does better, they have a kid (or another kid if they already had one), and then he starts sneaking out at night to duel again. He gets killed by L. Faba, and Emilia goes through a deep depression that takes her years to recover from. After that, she and Simeon Silversweater hook up and he becomes a step-dad. She has more kids with him. What will change is that Darrel isn’t going to die, and I might find a way to make Minerva live a bit longer to be more of a thorn in her DiL’s side. Idk.

3. What would your muse’s ideal date be?

be courted and spoiled a little bit! his partner could come and get him from his house, a nice dinner with wine that he'll be forbidden to pay for (he will protest. however don't be fooled, he will PREEN if his partner is determined to pay everything) and a nice walk out at night when mondstadt is deserted... push that romantic setting up in his ass, tell him that you want him and all the nice things he's STARVED to hear with honesty and you get him..... assuming that this is yalls third/fourth date. *PLAYS ROMANTIC VIOLIN MUSIC*

5. “How easy is it for your muse to say, “I love you”?

hoo boy it's......... not. love is a commitment kaeya would commit himself fully to, but others tend to be less faithful that he is towards his extreme idealization of love. i mean... he committed to be a son in the ragnvindr family and you can see how that turned out. absolutely ANYTHING that kaeya commits to is destined to go up in flames so hes just like ''.')'' like man, if he had to commit himself to a person who would flake on him i think that he'd get even WORSE than how he is now. if the other person says it first after enough time to understand just how precious these words are for him he'll be in the commitment and you'll most likely never find a partner as devoted as him... say the words too soon, however, and you'll send him running for his life. also, chase him and he'll act like a feral cat that you're trying to feed: be distrustful, and if you push you'll undo any progress with him. romancing kaeya is an EXTREMELY difficult. he's like that fucking secret hidden romantic route you find in a game except that everything is fucking bullshit up until the very end of it, where you yell at the screen for 3 hours then close and uninstall the game in frustration 8D not to mention that kaeya disillusions himself also thanks to crepus, who in my headcanon was that he filled baby kae's head with dreamy words about his ''soulmate'', the ''love of his life'' etc so much that kaeya internalized this and if the spark isn't immediately there and brings him on cloud nine, and if it doesn't he walks away. upsie!

7. What is the longest relationship your muse has been in?

VIGOROUSLY POINTS AT @11fatui. if we count that the relationship has been on since we made our blogs, i'd say they've been in for a good 3-4 months. DAM

9. How physically affectionate is your muse with their partner?

not a lot unless he's extra comfy with physical contact or the other person initiates!

13. What physical attribute does your muse find most attractive?

points at chests. buff. SWOLE. show a bit of forearms and he swoons. he's also into stupidly high-powered people who give him a challenge because these people sure won't risk dying and he won't suffer their deaths if they can kill the other opponent faster! he also like bold and brash types who can back up their words with strenght. also, if you have long slender fingers then that's just a bonus :D

13. What personality trait/type does your muse find most attractive?

BOLD PEOPLE. strong types. despite being perfectly able to defend himself, he doesn't mind if his partner is stronger than him as long as he gets to be taught some of their tricks and they don't treat him like a fragile prince who cant handle a little roughhousing. he likes honesty that borders on stupid since if someone isnt truthful he will literally and canonically look at them in the eyes and unravel their lies, so... the truth is attractive to him. chatty people also do the trick because he doesn't have to be prodded with questions as they talk his ears off. if they're morally skewered? he's fucking in. he likes the danger :3

anything???? expecially alcohol or things to collect, or jewels, OR gifts that he can wear. gift him something and see him turn bashful for 0.3 seconds then try to sound smug again. i DARE you

you know... let's go with both. he likes to have a schedule and savor the anticipation to certaint things, but impromptu dates are also fun! expecially when there's some chaos in the mix and nothing goes as planned. two extremes, and he's both of them

21. Does your muse fall for someone quickly, or does it take a bit to win their heart?

he's the smoothest flirtiest fucker in teyvat. he flirts well if he isn't interested up until things get serious... then you flirt back and if he's into you he's stunned fucking speechless. a fucking idiot

25. Does your muse consider romantic holidays  ( such as Valentine’s )  important to celebrate when in a relationship?

remember that headcanon we had about kaeya sending childe some chocolates he made for valentine's day, only for them to arrive spoiled and childe suffering Consequences for still eating them because it was adorable? yeah he's a sucker for valentine's day alright

So, every fic I’ve ever written for the Harry Potter fandom has been done this year - and every single one has been a joy and a journey of learning.

Heaven’s Embroidered Cloths - 

In which the Yule Ball opens Harry's eyes to beauty and splendour, and it takes him eight years to find someone who realises exactly what he wants. Magical fabric, solstice celebrations, and first kisses in borrowed clothes.

My first ever fic for Harry Potter, my first every drarry! Encouraged, aided and abetted, by @diligent-thunder @tepre and @bixgirl1 and our collective obsession for Wizarding clothes. Looking back I can see the flaws and my baby-foal fumbling with characterisation, but this was the beginning of my little fandom frolic (and ongoing kink obsession with their clothes) so I love it dearly!

Simple Little Kiss - 

Harry slid his knife and fork together, and leaned back in his chair to watch Draco finish the last sip of wine in his glass, the long line of his neck exposed as he tipped his head back. Satisfaction and longing vied for the top spot in his mind. One appetite had been thoroughly sated; another was growling its hunger in his chest.

A story of found family, trees with feelings, belief in the power of growth, wandlore, and gratuitous description of Handsome Estate Owner™ Draco Malfoy swanning around in white shirts and leather boots.

Written for @hd-fan-fair and it’s my longest fic to date - a little out of my usual wheelhouse - it’s gentle, more of a tale than a rollicking ride, but I adored writing it, and love the way it turned out. 

Logical - Inspired by this stunning art by @potter-art! I just couldn’t help myself, I was thirsty enough for Draco in leather to be one of the many to prompt her the outfit in question for drawing - and then the finished product was so GODDAMN hot I had to write poor Harry having to deal with it! ❤️🔥

Okay so the lovely @drarryruinedme7 slid into my DMs and started talking HP rarepairs with me and when she started talking about Neville x Theo my eyes lit up and my writerly ears perked up - think excited meerkat, that's about how it felt. 

After rummaging through the internet for their facecasts - see Neville and Theo (important research okay, the fact they're devastatingly gorgeous is neither here nor there) I had the delightful excuse of the @growing-neville fest to light a fire under my arse and write a fic, which I gifted to @drarryruinedme7!

All Our Strength, And All Our Sweetness - 

In which Neville cooks, Theo is seriously into being manhandled, these two finally get each other naked, and it turns out they're compatible outside of the greenhouse too.

   - i think I was a cis female? all i know for sure is that I used she/her pronouns lol    - i was pansexual af I luved everyone    - i was about medium height and had a curvy body type w wider hips than my bust    - i had tan skin and full lips    - i had blonde curly hair which I dyed pink most often but also other colors    - check the bottom of this post for some pics that look close to how I did!    - i liked to blep a lot    - i was extremely affectionate, i loved to show my friends my love but id never do anything they were uncomfy with    - i looooved makeup, i always at least had eyeliner and lipstick on. i usually stole the makeup from the past oops. i got into makeup because my mom left some in the house and i wanted to feel closer to her    - frigglish was an extremely affectionate cat, he loved being pet and sitting in my lap and was very vocal! he didn’t really like anyone else in my hometown tho. i think he only liked humans    - i looooved video games, esp nintendo, esp gamecube and ds games and esp pokemon, super maio sunshine, and paper mario!    - i needed to recharge my social battery a lot especially when i first started being around other humans. i was v much a people person but i just tended to get drained when around people for too long    - pre game i let my laptop die a lot and then would disappear until i got it charged again

basic facts about my timeline:

   - timeline made it to earth c, im p sure i came from a game over tl originally    - all the sprites had a faint glow, i remember loving the pinky purple glow fefetasprite had    - on earth c we had gaming nights and i’d love to play mario kart pokemon and smash bros esp    - we had allooottt of movie nights on earth c, we loved to watch bad movies a lot of the time and just roast em but we also often watched all our favs!    - on earth c i would initiate strilonde hugs all the time    - i think it followed canon p closely?

general alpha kids memories:

   - pre game i met dirk first, then jane, then jake    - i voicechatted with the other alpha kids before entering the game p often    - i had a crush on literally… all the alpha kids at some point iajak i had a crush on dirk first and that lasted for awhile but didn’t go anywhere, then i had a tiny crush on jake but it was p short lived, my longest crush was on janey. i flirted w her lowkey and highkey and wanted to date her so bad, but once she told me about her crush on jake i kept it to myself for the most part (and sometimes dirk lol) and backed off    - jane tried to teach the alphas how to cook on earth c and we were all TERRIBLE LOL I was more focused on decorating and dirk was tryin to make the portions perfect and kept starting over and jake… tried his best sdjsdj    - on earth c, i was watchin a movie and i laid my head in jakes lap w dirk above me on the couch and jane let me lay my legs across her lap. jake played w my hair i think it was an action movie    - (WARNING NSFW) the alphas had a foursome while in trickster mode, we all highly regretted it afterwards tho skjsfkj we weren’t in our right minds and years of romantic and sexual frustration poured out at the moment

dirk memories:

   - he was lanky and tan w freckles and blonde hair he bleached blonder    - we watched mlp:fim pre game on a rabbit type website, mostly for his enjoyment but it was cute and I enjoyed it    - pregame i used to dye my own hair and it was a mess, after i finally met people i got them to help me, usually it was dirk and when i retrned the favor and bleached his hair id sometimes play w it and make it into shapes and stuff    - dirk was vvvv good at singing, but also v shy about it    - getting hugs from dirk was enveloping and warm and trusting i felt so safe in his arms    - jake and dirk got married

calliope memories:

   - callie was a tiny short thing, probably around 5’ or under and by far the smallest    - me and callie were eating breakfast one day in this house that was v stereotypical of suburban america (it was probably john or janes house) and callie stuck out her tongue to eat a hard boiled egg and she looked up and noticed i was staring lovingly at her and she blushed    - we were together! im not sure if we ever got married but we def dated for a loooong time!    - callie got so shy about romance and relationship stuff, i was v patient w her tho and tried not to go out of her comfort zone    - i feel like me and callie went flying sometimes? like id attach her to me somehow and we’d go flying    - callie looooved tea, we’d have tea parties w rose and kanaya    - we went on a lot of double dates w kan and rose!

jane and jake memories:

   - jane was shorter than me, around rose’s height, and a big girl    - I think jane might’ve been asian?    - jake was the darkest of any of the kids, as was jade, I believe they were pacific islanders?    - jake and dirk got married    - i think jane was too busy w her business to worry about relationships tbh    - jake was vvvv closed off about his feelings, it took him forever to feel comfortable enough to talk about them

rose and kanaya memories:

   - rose was shorter than me with blonde hair and kinda chubby    - kan was v tall and lanky    - kanaya and rose got married, although I don’t think we went trickster mode afterwards like in canon    - me and callie went on double dates w them a lot    - we also all had tea parties together a lot    - rose was a really good singer but she didn’t like to show it off    - one time i was watching a movie and rose was sitting in front of me and i just played w her hair and we were so content    - I was rose’s mom figure but id sometimes slip up and call her mom, esp at first

dave and karkat memories:

   - dave liked to call me mom a lot, I liked it and embraced it    - i loved to tease dave when he went on dates w karkat bc he got so shy about it, he’d often invite other people on their dates bc he liked having people to fall back in just in case

1. What is your favorite thing about #6? I like Sansa's evolution. Not from a piece to a player with littlefingers, Sansa became a player the minute Joffrey removed Ned Stark's head. You could clearly see in episode 10 of season 1 when Joffrey said "maybe I'll give you your brother's head" and she replied "or maybe he'll give me yours." and then contemplated pushing him off the ledge. Sansa spent years learning how to manipulate and lie her way through court. I don't think she trusts littlefinger, but she will stay as long as she believes he may provide some means for her to reunite with her family, or what is left of it. *step back b*i*tches, this player is stepping out of the shadows and into the light*

2. Which character would you rather be friends with, #7, or #3? Arya or Marg, hm.... both really. maybe Marg, though I'd rather marry her, so then arya and she can teach to kill and stuff.

3. All 10 characters are now in the Hunger Games. Who wins? Natasha or Arya.

4. Has #4 ever been your background/icon/screensaver? Yes. my inhuman child! Phone background.

5. Who, if anyone, do you ship #2 with? welp, I dunno. I see the whole Shizuo/Izaya thing and where everyone's coming from with that, but I see more of a sexual frustration thing or hate thing, rather than a "I love you forever and ever" thing.

6. How many times have you watched/read/played #9’s fandom? hahha. How long yoou got?

7. Which character would more likely survive the apocalypse? #1 or #10? Both. Natasha cannot be killed by mere anything. b(i)tches be beneath her, and thranduil is an immortal. even if he's slain his soul eventually just goes to valinor anyway.

8. One character is now killed off. Who is it? Izaya might already be ... gone, and marg, arya and sansa are in ASOIAF/Game of Thrones so who knows how long they got... I'll go with Thranny 'cause he can't really die anything. sucker. XP

9. Which character do you think deserves more love/less hate from the fandom? Sansa Stark. 100% b(i)tches were blown away when she stepped forward and started moving game pieces around like the boss she is.

10. What type of music would #5 listen to? herm? classic and a mix of pop? I dunno. I don't even know what type of music I listen to, just a mix of stuff.

11. #8 and #9 are on a road trip. Who drives? Where do they go? Clara drives. I dunno, maybe they're just travelling around, or looking for the doctor who's lost somewhere.

I occasionally get fed up with Izaya's stupidity, and I didn't like what they did with thranny in the movies. don't get me wrong, Lee pace was absolutely fab, but thranny would not be against his son loving whomsoever leggy chooses. they're elves and elves marry for love. but lee pace was beautiful as thranny. "because it was real" *dies*
