when there's smth strange in the new mark vid who you gonna call?

(got thrown into a swirling rift in what I can only guess is the fabric of reality and told I needed to find an ax to help someone talking in blue lettered text)

You rang? (Side note, YouTube lost its notifications privileges with me, so I saw this message before I saw Mark's new video. It's probably the only reason I had enough time to type this post up before I head off to the airport, so thank you!)

Okay, to recap: We have a really weird drive by bee attack. No relation to the lore or anything, just bizarre. RIP, bee, you went out stinging. Then we have Mark talking about his love of being dropped into horrors beyond his imagining (not a masochist) and deep lore, before asking Lixian to show us something very deep--"throw them in the hole!"

Lixian says to the viewer, "I guess it's your turn to go into the hole" (my emphasis, we'll get back to that), before we go into a pink, flaming hole. It's tempting to draw the comparison to the wormhole from ISWM, but what's interesting is the color--the only time we see a pink wormhole in Space is when Wilford calls us a ride after ours, uh, was "mysteriously" stabbed.

Inside the hole, there are swirling clouds and flashes of blue lightning. Near the end, there's a break in the clouds that actually kind of looks like a side path to the left, but unlike In Space, we don't have an option of left or right here, we just plummet through the main hole to be met with darkness, and blue text.

"Help me", "Please, help me", and "Only you can find the axe."

Someone is asking for help, someone who claims that only the viewer can find the axe. So, let's talk about the axe, shall we?

First, we start with my boy, Damien:

In DAMIEN, the very first thing we see is Damien himself, chopping down a tree with an axe. This is apparently a daily thing for him, and he chops down a LOT of trees, but in the climax of the video when finally confronting Actor Mark, Damien doesn't have his axe. Instead, Celine arrives, using the axe to break through to Damien and, uh, giving it to Actor Mark to hold for a second.

Chronologically, the next time the axe is picked up is at the end of the fan game for Damien made by Lixian, just for Mark. At about the 48 minute mark, Damien/Dark sets his axe down as he's greeted by Wilford, which is then picked up by Lixian himself.

Lixian is scratched up, presumably from his fight with Lunky in 3 Scary Games #61 which has Lixian attempt to cage Lunky only for Lunky to break out.

It's in the following, unnumbered 3 Scary Games that we first see Lixian wield the axe, to split Lunky in half. (Brutal!)

He would then go on to use the axe in 3 Scary Games #64 and 65 to kill the horror abominations of Mark featured in those videos, and attempts to use it again in #66 only for it to bounce off.

Lixian tries to attack, and gets captured for his efforts, and we next see him in #75, waking up outside of the mysterious Plier Corporation and realizing he doesn't have his axe.

Since then, as far as I can tell in what time I have left to type this, the axe hasn't shown up again. It's missing, and someone needs our help finding it, but who and why?

Part of the explanation may lie with what the monster in #66 says at the beginning of the video: "The end is nigh. He has opened the door. The great Eldritch Plier is coming. Your end is here."

We get a hint at who this "Eldritch Plier" might be in 3 Scary Games #69, which begins with a man standing outside of a pink (!) portal, through which pops out Spider!Mark (one of the same creatures Lixian killed when he had the axe).

This man resurrects Lunky, its two halves barely clinging together, and the next time we see it is with Mark, who admits he doesn't actually remember making Lunky.

Lunky's most recent reappearance is in 3 Scary Games #103, where now whole again he uses the viewer as a sacrifice in his ritual to go back and seek vengeance, presumably against Lixian.

So the safe bet is that it's Lixian asking us to help find the axe so he can take on Lunky, right?

Except...why would he send us through a portal to tell us that? And why would he think we would be the only ones who could find it?

It would make more sense if someone else, someone who is well aware of the workings of the channel and the viewers' place in it, someone who may know of this Eldritch Plier and the danger he poses and shares his ability to summon portals, to do so.

Someone like one Wilford Motherloving Warfstache.

Or, y'know, Dark. He might also be involved.

I cannot understate how much FNaF means to me in my life, and yeah...know that sounds a b i t much considering it's the funny har har bear games, but lemme explain-

Truth is, i was actually terrified of FNaF when it first came out! I remember my first introduction to it was when i was having a sleepover at my friend's place and he was both playing and watching other people play the first game, and when i was watching it with him, i got scared and tried to avoid the game as much as i could, even claiming to hate the game despite just knowing the first game. I was young and was prone to sheltering myself from stuff i didn't understand, and that being the first scary game i've ever seen caused that reaction, but over time...that changed.

It happened when i was watching YT and clicked on a comic dub i never seen before, thinking it was an AU for a fandom i was in (probably Undertale i dunno), but lo and behold, it was actually a fandub/animatic for the missing kids incident, and that...peaked my interest. I got curious on how this scary game actually had an interesting story to it and not just some game that goes boo. So, soon after that, i decided to look up simply "FNaF Story", found the Game Theory videos, and...the rest is history.

I was amazed and hooked, got invested in how the games explained the story in ways i've never seen before, got excited when i saw everything click together in real time, and pair that with how i got into the series r i g h t when Sister Location came out, arguably when the lore really started to kick off, i knew there was no going back now. I stuck with the series since. I watched all the animatics and dubs, listened to all the songs, tried drawing the characters, made OC's, and even talked to other people about this franchise.

And now look- Not gonna pretened this whole time it's been sunshine and (Chica's) rainbows, especially in recent times. The drop off SB caused, the lore getting more and more complicated and convoluted, the divide between older and newer fans, being the founder of Mascot Horror (for every Poppy Playtime there i s a Garten of Ban Ban) and course the IRL drama, but in all seriousness...i still wouldn't trade it for anything.

FNaF, this series, is my very first experience connecting me with a community like this, both good and bad, helping me understand how to properly enjoy media and even learn/take things from it, and i think without it i wouldn't be in the fandoms i'd be in now. The scary, horror ones, the niche, hard to find ones, story driven, character rich, and of course...more importantly...getting me into Markiplier, which further influenced the "outside the box" kind of thinking cause my g o d for these two stories you need too-

And speaking of, because of those two stories, it lead to me branching out more creativily and even creating my own webcomic for an AU combining both of them, so regardless on how that'll go, i'm just glad this series has influenced me enough to create something for others to see, since that's all i ever want to give.

But really, this franchise will forever be with me, and though i don't always agree with all of it (i haven't read any of the books in y e a r s and i refuse to do so), it only makes some of the stuff it does do right completely worth it (like the movie, peak cinema), and for where ever this bear shaped train is going next, well, i'll be here for the ride for all of it. No matter how many burning buildings it goes through.

...oh and um- Right yeah. The actual art piece. Uh....it crashed multiple times when drawing it. It's even a miracle i was able to export it. I can't even open it up anymore. So even if i wanted to change anything about it, i c a n 't -

But still pretty happy with how it came together! Was run drawing these robos, some being kinda redraws from the past, while other's i've n e v e r drawn before, so that was interesting! But still, tried to draw the "main character" so to say from each of the main FNaF games, and just kinda be...walking along through the series, nothing too deep or complex, but still interesting enough! ....unlike the fnaf storyline cause g o d how many restaurants wERE THEIR S C O T T -

I like this speedpaint a lot. You can see how I improve and change things throughout the piece. I wish you could see just how much I use that undo button though - that button is my savior.

The starting sketch DOES belong to me. I want to make that abundantly clear (I use a lot of outside references sometimes). If I use an outside reference and it is in the final product (as in I use other art as reference), I will give credit if I can. The reaper picture next to it is not mine and belongs to the Subnautica devs.

Process (kinda):

1) Using a sketch makes this SO MUCH EASIER. It's a pain in the ass but jfc it's faster than trying to digitally sketch with your finger

3) I swear I know how to use the paint bucket tool yall, that would've made shit so much easier, but there were gaps and i couldn't figure out where they were so my background kept turning fucking blue

4) SO PROUD OF THE BLUE TO RED FADE MARKINGS ON THE ARMS. I USED THE ERASER TOOL FOR THAT.

5) Realized the blue was too bright and i need to tone it down - tried to keep it from looking like the blue water was making him (the character) blue

6) i cant remember when the reaper reference is added it just lowkey appears

7) i wasn't trying to shade but i kinda did with the way i outlined some of his torso

8) color gradient for texture

9) scars. Tried to add more texture to the scars by adding color but i hated it.

I'm currently working on getting a lot of my lore straightened out. I'm also trying to make character sheets for me to reference and use to write headcanon drabbles n whatnot. The world-buliding is genuinely crazy -

I mean, I made three OCs just so I could build up Chris' experience in the mafia, and that's not including Jubi. There's about 20 characters I have to write things for, and that's not taking the missing children (which is ALSO about 20) into consideration. I also have other AUs which really messes with the timeline.

All in all, I've been slowly working on more stuff to post in my oneshot book. Since I've thought about him the most, Scott's almost done. I believe Viktor will be done soon too.

Punk Johnny would be the type to listen to Electric Sockhead by Destructo Disk while waiting for you outside of your ballet studio. He's on leave and, contrary to what the others think, he doesn't wear compression shirts and gym shorts. He's got his battle jacket on with a pair of patch pants (I think he'd get too bugged by not washing his crust pants and would settle for patch pants). He's got his ear piercings (the same ones he uses various object to poke through while deployed to make sure they don't close up) and gels his mohawk so it's pointier. He doesn't use spotify, or apple music, or Amazon. He downloads music onto his phone (that he bought from a friend so he doesn't buy into a big corporation) and shops locally. I think the only reason Punk! Johnny is in the military and settles it in his brain is because he's part of a special task force, and not generic duty. He definitely has 1312 tattoo on his shoulder and some sort of tattoo for when Queen Elizibeth died (like that video of Irish people in the football stadium screaming "Lizzy's in a box!" when her death was announced mid-game)

He tries to not mess with your ballet attire, even if you had to shoo him away from drawing something on your leotard. The first time he came to one of your recitals and was looking for you, he got so many looks. To go from frilly tutus to spikes and leather boots was a lil bit of whiplash for most of the people there. The more recitals he went to, the more people recognized his and even began to refer to him as your man. He definitely bought some flowers from a small stand and brought them for you.

Every.

Single.

Time.

If you don't already like the music he does, he'll try to introduce you to it. I imagine he loves Destructo Disk (i'm projecting i love destructo disk sm) and would try to start you out with some of their softer songs (Goth Queen, Batty For You, Sockhead (not electric))

I like to think he'd make a light-colored battle jacket for you (they exist) and take you to local basement concerts. There's this thing that some people will do with their battle jackets where they'll get a piece of cloth, paint your initials on it, and then sew a patch over it so that it's like a pocket that can't be opened without taking the entire patch off. Once you two are engaged, he'd do that.

I was in the punk community for a WHILE (still am, just don't always dress the same. I do have a battle jacket tho) (Punk isn't just clothing btw. It's music, culture, politics, and clothing. You can dress however you want and as long as you got those others, you're good. A lot of discourse in the community tho unfortunately). I'm not 100% sure on Scottish punk culture, so I'm mostly going off of American punk culture. If anyone that's from Scottland or knows abt Scottish punk culture, lemme know in the replies!

Aha.... Buckle your seatbelts this will take a while. (TW for mentions of s*icide, s*lf h*rm and death in general under the cut. Also omori spoilers. But that's probably to be expected)

Swingset was first an idea. Probably around early 2024??? I'm not sure but!!! I didn't actually plan to write anything about it until I got the idea for it and started writing the fic my last week of school (so it updates every wednesday)

The au itself... Hhhh yeah. Basically, the incident happens as normal, but Sunny doesn't have headspace and whitespace to slip into in his mind, and is fully aware the whole time Basil is doing the hanging and stuff or Mari. Sunny decides it's for the best and kills himself, hanging himself on the same tree Mari was already hanging on only like. Minutes later. (First chapter). Basil leaves before Sunny does that so he doesn't know it happens.

The rest of the gang (+ Basil is dragged along) and they find Mari and Sunny!!!! Yay!!! (Sarcastic yay) Anyways in short they react badly but Kel probably has it the worst because he's a little delulu in this au. Basil is close behind tho.

Kel twists the incident to Mari and Sunny making a swing and. Yeah. Au name!!! He also makes up fake versions of Sunny and Mari (and also everyone else, because the group fell apart) to hang out with. In other words, Kel needs a schizophrenia diagnosis. Everyone copes horribly (Basil. Well. Self harms. And generally is probably going insane.) (Hero bedrots like in canon but longer) (Aubrey bullies Basil at first but they make up and form a sorta sibling bond!) (not gonna spoil the exact thing but Aubrey will be traumatized further)

There's!!! A lot of stuff going on. Kel has all his fake friends (before the group reunited because of a certain incident!) - and also ghost Sunny and Mari (who age like ghost Mari does in canon because i said so) exist but they're not too important outside of the good ending.

I don't keep count but i think there's a total of 8 something's total. Canon something (Mari something, Maris hanging body), Sunny something (Sunny's hanging body), canon something (Mari at the bottom of the stairs, Basil's something), Noosething (Basil's extra au something (tying the noose which leads to Sunny's own suicide), Basil something (Aubrey's extra something. Not spoiling it for now...), Kel something (bad ending) and hero's very hd quality something's (he looked at the bodies too long ig)

Everyone has the sunny and mari somethings. Basil has 4 total. Hero and Aubrey have 3 (sunny, mari, their own bonus) Kel repressed his two but they still show up in the shadows sometimes :)

Basil is. Where do i start. He actually is completely delusional. Completely. More than Kel kinda. He also hears voices. He almost kills someone trying to kill himself (spoilers), and overall almost kills himself like. At least thrice. He doesn't take care of himself. At least Aubrey's there to help!

On a sorta wholesome note, everyone gets their hair dyed!! They do it to 'help' Kel to snap out of his delusions (it makes it worse) (kel does snap out of it at some point! But it might just be too late for it by then :) )

For the fic itself it's 11k ish words and 4 chapters at the moment.???? I have 20 chapters planned total plus two bonus ones so. Ouch. that's gonna be fun to write. I take the au itself seriously but the extra drawings i do for it... Ehhh not so much.

I have this gem of a doodle (vision basil and real basil) i frankly don't remember when i drew this. I probably was half asleep and it was like 2 am.

I plan to rework the old reference sheets i have and hopefully do the fifth chapter today and tomorrow! I don't actually wanna spoil much but definitely keep an eye out for some post!!!

Outside Upgrades Lore beyond the Cut! (A lot of writing, feel free to skip.)

Hi guys!!! This is a doodle for my new and improved Outside Upgrades! Ruin edition!

The characters (ocs) pictured are N (left) and Light (right)!

N is an urban explorer by trade, making and posting videos of her explorations online. (She has no self-preservation skills, which is why she's so popular.) Meanwhile, Light was a FazCo. employee back in the day, and currently they're unemployed.

The whole point of this AU when I first made it was that Light was there the night the Plex collapsed (and would've escaped with the help of Moon). They lost their leg in that injury, and FazCo basically paid Light off to not spill the secrets of the company, and they got to keep Sun/Moon. Eventually they'd discover Eclipse mode, which was their caretaking protocol.

This update? Light was close to the entrance when it collapsed and was eventually found by a rescue crew (they were searching for Vanessa) with their leg pinned under sone rubble. They've been in recovery for a few years by the time they return with N to the Plex. The pair arrive shortly before Cassie, but they shimmy under that gate where it looks like Monty shoved through and go a different direction before she can keep up.

Eventually, they find their way to Gator Grub where Maskbot is and N snags a mask, but a lot of obstacles they can brute force through better than Cassie could. And by the time they get to the daycare, Cassie's already been through. Eclipse is there.

Seeing Light kinda, snaps him out of that "clean up" mode, and after some sappy moments, Eclipse decides to join the two explorers in their adventure and eventual return to the real world.

I like to think that they *do* catch up with Cassie, whether that be after the elevator crashes or before she goes to the basement to confront the mimic, they find her by complete chance. And of course, this is a whole child? Who put her down here??

Eclipse feels terrible that he sent her on her way earlier, Light is dumbfounded as to how she got so deep, and N (who's piecing together what Helpi has been talking about this whole time) is ready to confidently just undo the hinges on the door Cassie needs through so that Roxy doesn't get deactivated. And it *works*.

They all face the mimic, and whether they scoop it, or Eclipse and Roxy are enough to overpower it, or they just get to the elevator safely, it doesn't matter. They get out.

And then soft AU that it originally was ensues, with Eclipse getting repairs done and sticking with Light as a Healthcare assistant robot.

(N also slowly but surely recovers the other animatronics, with Light's help, and gets them repaired and puts about 30 firewalls on their programming. Roxy's the first, with Freddy being the last to be recovered fully.)

And of course, Cassie is implied to at least have a dad, so I imagine she'd find her father, and since he was *also* implied to be a Faz-Technician, he'd fix up Roxy best he could, and when Cassie introduced N finally (Light was busy) her dad offered to repair anything else she brought him, so she brought the band.

I'm not sure how much I'll write/draw for this, but originally I abandoned the idea because it had a y/n. I wasn't sure how I'd write about chronic pain or the loss of a limb or ptsd for a wide enough audience, and it eventually drove me to not write it at all. (Why you see me post AEB the mermay au more than the original-)

I'm glad that I made the choice to drag this one into oc land. Outside Upgrades was always self-indulgent (I made Eclipse a soft-boy and actually put together and decidedly not a whore, and it was pure luck that Canon Eclipse matches up so well) and it will remain self-indulgent.

Of course, if anyone wants to use the design or drop their own character in rather than Light, not like I'll complain! Tho I'd like ppl to @ me if they do use this concept or design cuz I'd just love to see it! :D

Hi! I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer this ask, and also thank you for sending me an ask in the first place! I love answering questions, even if it takes me a bit to respond :3

I agree with you, Lazari deserves better. I mean like, even her own creator did her dirty man, SHE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! Her concept is so cool and her own comic did her SO DIRTY. I hate the treatment she gets from fans too.

Yeah I get it her comic was terribly written and was the origin of the 'I HAVE CRAYONS AND PAPER!!!!!' meme and the characters were poorly written and the lore was inconsistent and the fanservice was weird and the story/tone was ALL OVER THE PLACE. But like, don't take it out on my baby Lazari please she deserves better.

I wanna do some more silly headcanons of her this time around, I might make a separate post on more serious stuff about her ;)

So, let's get cracking!

Lazari Headcanons!

-She's on the Autism Spectrum, diagnosed and all :3. She also has ADHD, also diagnosed! She's the representation we deserve to see in this fandom lol.

-She's Chibiworks. Okay, let me explain:

SO, when Lazari first came into the Mansion, she was just an 8 year old girl with demonic tendencies who was abused by her hyper-religious mother who hated her. She hated herself, she was shy, and she believed that she was nothing more than a monster, a mistake. But all of a sudden she goes from that to the DAUGHTER OF THE EMPEROR OF THE UNDERWORLD, a literal DISNEY PRINCESS (cuz yk she's his daughter), and now she literally lives in a Magical Forest in a Magical Mansion of Serial Killers, Ghosts and Demons.

She thought that the world around her was super interesting considering she never got to see much of the outside. She loves drawing, so she drew about it. She drew about the potential greater stories unravelling around her, making her own characters based on concepts she learnt about whilst exploring.

She made I Eat Pasta for Breakfast as a way of letting her imagination go wild around this new environment she found herself in. She made characters to interact with the people that already existed, and gave them purposes.

(Btw, several of the weird stuff and the not kid-appropriate scenes in the comic are retconned out of this version.)

She also made Creepy Frozen Pasta, just saying. She also wrote The Seer. She wrote every Creepypasta comic in existence. Found a cool Creepypasta comic series? Lazari wrote it.

-She LOVES drawing. Her artstyle is very much manga-inspired and she loves creating her own OCs, which are littered throughout her work. A lot of them are directly based on concepts, such as many of Zalgo's followers in IEPFB being based on the idea of Zalgo having a cult of personality around him.

-She's definitely an animation meme kid. I'm deffo self-projecting but she is the DEFINITION of the weird kid. She makes animation memes of everyone in the mansion. She makes animatics of actual stuff that happened. She makes amateur dubs of her own comics.

-Manga is her biggest hyperfixation. She collects TONS of them, and directly draws panels from her favourite manga to improve her drawing skills. Her favourite Manga series of all time is Fruits Basket :3. Her room is basically just all of her drawing scattered around the place.

She specifically likes Horror and Shoujo anime, despite the fact that they're basically polar opposites. Alongside Fruits Basket, she really likes Madoka Magica!

-She definitely makes AMVs of her favourite animes. She deffo writes terribly written fanfiction about her favourite anime couples kissing and giggles whilst writing it.

-She's also a Gacha Life kid FUCKING FIGHT ME SHE DEFINITELY MAKES GACHA OCS. She definitely stays up until 2am with Sally watching 'Hated Child turns into Hybrid Princess' videos. Lazari gasps in shock every single time and Sally is just sitting there extremely confused.

-Sally is her best friend. She lore-dumps to Sally all the time about her special interests, and Sally listens intently and nods along. She even writes notes about the lore of her favourite series! Sally is a super supportive best friend, and any time any of the ghost kids make fun her for her autistic behaviour she puts them in their place.

-Despite this, the two of them argue a lot, because they're kids and just of course they do. Fun fact! The reason why Sally only appears like once in IEPFB is because Lazari initially wrote her in, then the two got into a fight and she took her out of the story. They made up soon after but Lazari thought it would be too awkward to add her back in and Sally just accepted it.

-She has a very unorthodox form of common sense. With that I mean she has none at all. Once the mansion was on fire, and Slender screamed at her to get up and evacuate. Her reaction? She told him to leave her alone and let her sleep.

-She really likes Vocaloid, and her favourite Vocaloid isn't even a Vocaloid. Her favourite, uh, singing bank, is Kasane Teto! She claims that her robotic voice (before the SynthV AI transfer) was pleasant to her ears.

-Her favourite Vocaloid Song is Kasane Territory, because of the animation meme of course >:D.

-She also definitely tried to make a Storytime Youtube Channel but everyone in the Mansion made her delete it because she was sharing personal information about them all. Like genuinely she'd be like 'SO THE OTHER DAY MASKY AND HOODY WERE ON A MISSION FOR SLENDERMAN AND THEY KILLED THIS ONE GIRL WHO LIVES AT THIS ADDRESS IN THIS STATE'.

She has like zero concept of Internet Safety.

-She's a massive Melanie Martinez fan. She got Sally into her music, and back when Melanie Martinez was like just getting popular she'd sing all of her songs super loudly in the shower. Once Slenderman referred to the house as a 'Dollhouse' and Lazari screamed 'DOLLHOUSE BY MELANIE MARTINEZ? HEY GIRL, OPEN YOUR WALLS, PLAY WITH YOUR DOLLS-'.

-She used to be a massive Roblox kid in 2017 and was also an MSP kid. Christ she was on so many virtual worlds, she was even on Animal Jam sort of.

-Fanon Masky, Hoody and Toby were invented by her. Fanon Masky was made PURELY out of spite for him. The first time they met was not pleasant, as he called her a brat. Lazari vowed to humiliate him in every way possible from that point forward. She found out that he hated children, hated Slenderman, hated Cheesecake, hated the texture of Crayons, and hated jokingly being called a twink by Toby.

All of that combined? You got the Crayon-having, Cheesecake-eating, Skinny, Scrawny, Slenderman dick-riding Fanon Masky that we all know and love. The other residents found out about this strange new version of him and it became so popular she drew individual fanarts of him and handed it to all of the residents. Even Slenderman has a picture of Cheesecake Masky on his Office Wall. Somehow Masky didn't find out about this until a long time after the fad ended.

In my AU Hoody is a selective mute who doesn't verbally communicate with anyone besides the Proxies, so he was deathly silent when he first met Lazari. She misunderstood this as him just being shy and so Shy UwU boy Hoody was made.

Fanon Toby is just a sarcastic persona Toby puts on to piss other people off. She misunderstood this as his REAL personality and alongside the waffles thing that Jeff and Ben always mentioned (Toby stopped liking Waffles long before Lazari came), Fanon Toby was made.

-She made the Dollmaker (yeah he exists) make her plushies of everyone in the Mansion + The Zalgo and a few of her OCs. What does she do with them, you may ask? She roleplays with them with Sally. They've made a bunch of random ships with this, and now they're both avid Slender x Zalgo shippers. They also ship EJ with a lot of people as he has such a versatile personality, but they mainly like EJ and Jeff.

Lazari also found out that Masky was sort of intimidated by Nurse Ann so she shipped them very vocally in front of him.

-She's a massive Sanrio-girl, and her favourite character is My Melody :D. She's watched the entirety of Onegai My Melody at least like sixteen times already.

-She tried to learn Japanese, and failed miserably. She can sometimes read Hiragana if Kagekao writes it really carefully.

-Her own handwriting is really terrible, almost illegible. It's a gift to be able to read anything she writes.

-She's a part of the Mansion's Literature Club, and Ben nicknames her the Natsuki of the club, as she's always insisting that Manga is literature.

-She argues with Slender, as he believes that comics and Manga shouldn't be considered literature, as they're all pictures and barely any words. Lazari TO THIS DAY debates him about it.

-About her demonic urges, they're manageable as long as you give her a random body part to chew on every once and a while. She doesn't lose her control like she once did when she first came, and she's not as dangerous anymore. She's like a saint compared to EJ.

-As she's a half-demon, she has some godly amount of brute force strength. She can carry someone thrice her size and force open any door, no matter how many locks are on it.

She also has an incredibly high pain tolerance. Once she got scratched up pretty bad by EJ when he was in a particularly bad Demonic State, the girl didn't even notice until Lulu noticed.

-About Lulu, she was actually assigned to show her around when she first arrived at the Mansion! Lulu had told Slender earlier that she wanted to take charge of whoever came after her, and has a really good relationship with Lazari. She's one of Lazari's favourite people.

-Her relationship with her dad is...strange. On one hand when she does get to visit they generally have a nice time, however due to how much she reminds him of his deceased little sister, sometimes he'll accidentally call her 'Lily', which dampens the mood a little bit.

-Stripes ADORES her. The two sisters are very close and Stripes just loves her so much, she even made her her Teddy Bear that she's famous for carrying around :3.

-She had a phase where she called herself an irl Yandere. Thankfully she stopped after like a month but it was very funny lol

-She loves Nightcore! And Trance Music, oddly enough. One of her favourite songs is 'Be Alive!' By Stian K. (Search up the song. If you recognise the song from a certain animation meme of her then you deserve all of my respect).

-Her favourite food is Chocolate Strawberries.

Okay, if you want to ask some more serious lore-related questions then go right ahead and I'll answer! I just have so much of Lazari since she was one of my comfort characters when I was little and first got into Creepypastas. I see a lot of myself in her and I'm so peeved that the fandom either completely ignores her or dislikes her, like she's got so much potential! She's an incredibly important character in my AU actually, and one day I'll make a post detailing her correlation with the greater story :3

My Tunic Experience (SPOILERS)

I just got 100% in the game yesterday, and was going to start on Super Mario Wonder today. But instead, I spent most of the day looking up lore videos and reviews. I just cannot seem to leave the world of Tunic yet.

I was in love with the exploration and puzzle elements of this game. Going into this totally blind, I managed to collect every upgrade treasure, every coin, and almost every equipment card (At the very end of the game, while looking up what all of them do, exactly, I somehow learned that there was a secret one not mentioned in the manual! It made fighting the Heir so much easier). I got all but 1 fairy, all but one trophy, and managed to solve the entire Golden Path puzzle all on my own. I felt so bad having to look up the answers to those last few puzzles, but in doing so fell down a fucking rabbit hole like you wouldn't believe.

Did you know that there's an option in Accessibility Settings to make audio puzzles easier? Knowing that sure would have helped in figuring out what's going on with those windchimes outside the Old House.

Were you also bashing your head against the wall trying to figure out what the "60 seconds", "Shhh..." was about on page 51, with the illustration that looked like a star partly underwater next to a piece of paper? (Even as I type this I'm having to boot up Tunic again for reference) The one that, if I was reading page 54's hint correctly, surely holds the final trophy? Apparently, you have to turn off Sound Effects under the Audio options and stand in water for 60 seconds. Doing so will cause a secret message to appear at the bottom of the "Thank you!" note by the devs on page 1 (which bears a similar star symbol). Said message consists of more game language and a drawing of a familiar landmark in the overworld which is shaped like Holy Cross directions. Ah! So that's it! If everything the game taught me so far is correct, I just have to go there and input the directions to get the final gold treasure!...WRONG! At this point, it would be very, VERY handy to know what the note next to the image says. Throughout my journey thus far, I noticed that the game language doesn't appear to be random runic scribblings of a non-language. There are certain shapes that repeat in ways consistent with language which has had some thought put into making it. Furthermore, what of the notes on pages 21 and 54? They appear to be some sort of clue to how you could go about deciphering it, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it.

The game isn't over yet. THE. GAME. ISN'T. OVER. YET.

The game expected me to decode an entire in-game language. A multi-hour task, if you even know where to start (not me!). This is the hardest task this game has asked of me at this point. But thank goodness there's a awesome community of clever Tunic fans that managed to translate this thing (Bravo! <3 <3 <3).

Deeper down the rabbit hole we go! WAHOO!

For the first time, I was able to actually read and understand the story, the descriptions of the Quarry, Ruined Atol, Graveyard, and Cathedral, as well as what they were saying about the bosses I fought and what their deal was. I love the Librarian and how he thinks the Holy Cross is an actual treasure hidden in the Cathedral. He's also the only character aware he's in a game (did you see the drawings of what appeared to be a game cartridge on one of his chalk boards?) But that's all I'll get into on that. This is about the puzzle. Even now I'm getting as distracted from the task as I originally was! As for the puzzle text, after doing all of that you'd surely think it'd just spell it out for you at this point. But you're still no closer to getting that last trophy. It's a riddle:

"The softest feather corrected eleven times departed once more"

What does that even mean? I tried inputting the landmark's directions 11 times, from several points of view. Then tried it 12 times each way because of the "departed once more" line. Nothing happened. I gave up and looked up the answer. "Softest feather" refers to a "down", or soft fluff underneath the feathers of waterfowl (because everyone knows that, right?). "Corrected" refers to being RIGHT, "eleven times." "Departed" means you have LEFT, and 12 is "once more" than 11. Down, right x 11, left x 12. I have my final trophy! I've finally won!

But what about that bright light that appeared in the Trophy Room that appeared after I had collected a certain amount of tropies? What's up with the weird room where symbols in the game's language would appear seemingly at random if I used the Holy Cross? (Why am I not wanting to call it a D-Pad?!)

WILL THIS RIDE EVER END?!!

I go to the translated manual for clues, as there is text written next to the illustration of the trophy room on page 54. It reads:

"For Additional Support & Secrets 1. Find some rare golden statues. 2. Traverse the glow to visit 12 strange beings. 3. Un-sing to the the greatest song, the Song of the Golden Path, as seen from within"

Excitedly, I went to that mysterious room as fast as I could make that little fox go. I stood there, brought up the golden path notes, and input the directions backwards. Nothing. It turns out "from within" also meant as seen from a mirror. I had the right idea, just the wrong angle. I reset the puzzle, looked up and put in the inverted directions, and nothing seemed to happen except for the fact that one of the glyph spaces is blank, with only 11 glyphs showing. Wondering if something is being spelled out, I look up the puzzle solution. I'm correct! It is a...website?

Tunic has now become an ARG.

Clicking this link takes you to a creepy animated image of a smoky silhouette of what appears to be a squid monster with three eyes colored in the R/G/B color scheme we're used to. Harsh, grating sounds that sound almost like speech and ethereal whispers assaulted my ears. This was the squid-like being who's symbol I've seen everywhere in the game! Here I was stuck. This is where my journey with Tunic ended. I did learn that there was more languages in the music and sounds, and that running the website's sounds through a spectrogram results in the message "We are the Eyes of the Far Shore."

I really did not expect so much to be wrapped inside such a colorful, cute and fluffy package.

I apologize for the long post. I didn't realize how much I had to say about this game! If anyone's made it this far, I appreciate it!

Deathloop Slab only: Day 2 (technically 3)

So uh, I didn't write down what I did in game yesterday, and I was high as fuck so I hardly remember what I did either, so you'll just get the cliff notes

-I got the Flicker upgrade for Aether

-I got every base slab that I didn't already have

-I all but finished Space invader

-I finished Devouring of the Lambs and Lost in Transmission

-I got the unique sniper

Day 3

I wanted to finish Radio Silence as soon as possible today mainly for plot reasons but also because I wanted the purple quality PT spiker that tags enemies, the last of the horizon stations I need to do is the one in Karl's bay so I have to spend the morning in The Complex (I didn't try the wake up challenge again).

This trip to the complex was very eventful but I don't have the patience to give you a minute by minute transcript so basically I'd fuck up and fail stealth, successfully sneak away, then fuck up again for like 20 minutes. Anyway I only sent power to Karl's Bay since I don't think it does anything but unlock the Horizon doors.

I wanted to go to Karl's bay next but you can't go at noon for some reason, so instead I went to Fristad Rock to kill Fia again, she spotted me when I opened the door to her... round room thing. Which really showed me how useful that gun is going to be in this challenge. And I got Withdrawal which gives me power every time I get a kill while Havoc is active, it can basically make me immortal for an indefinite amount of time.

But in the afternoon I actually have three things to do Karl's Bay, first I collect the Earworm upgrade for Fugue which isn't really that good, then I find frank's fireworks to properly start The Ballad of Ramblin' Frank. Finally I go to the Horizon station and have a conversation with a past, present or future version of myself (the lore is weird, I might do a video/long tumblr post about it). I also collect the password and the tagging nail gun

I spend the Evening in Updaam, first going to the RAK and learning I need to kill every visionary but Julianna in order to get to Julianna to kill her by having another conversation with another version of myself (again, the lore and story is weird), finally completing Radio Silence. I then go to Otto's workshop to find it burned down, oh no if only I could have done something to prevent this tragedy from happening. Then I finally go to Aleksis' party to kill him again. tip for finding Aleksis: he is the only person at the party with two exemplar Limp 10s which are easily noticeable since they're orange. I turn off the chocolate tap to draw him into the cellar where I murder him and collect Zone which is a decent upgrade for Karnesis. Julianna invaded somehow even though I turned off invasions.

The next morning I go to Updaam again because I remembered that this game is about a time loop so I could just stop the fire before it happens, so I do that and comeback to Updaam again at noon to get the password for Franks fireworks and I collet Reach from Charlie by crashing his Among Us larp party. I go Karl's Bay, thankfully collect Discord from the collector and stealth kill him for the first time in my time playing this game, and sabotage Frank's fireworks to finish The Ballad of Ramblin' Frank. I go to The Complex in the evening and collect Ghost which is good for normal stealth gameplay but because of my current playstyle it isn't all that good. this was probably the shortest day I've played in deathloop, that might just be because I actually planned the whole loop that time

Thought's on Flicker:

I never used Flicker much in regular gameplay but it is actually very useful since it's like havoc but no one knows where you are, so outside of one situation it's better in general.

It has been requested by @camp-bruins that I offer a rundown of the player. Again, under the cut because these boys are precious but there's a lot of information

I guess just going in the order of the roster on the NHL website

John Beecher: Nicknamed Beech. Plays forward, specifically center. He's a speedy skater and this is only his first full season with the team. He's still trying to find his identity as a player, but he's super super promising.

Justin Brazeau: Nicknamed Braz. He kind of came out of nowhere last season and made a huge impression. He's a forward, a right wing. He's huge, a good thing in hockey. He throws his body around a lot to make the play.

Charlie Coyle: Nicknamed Cees, CC. He's a local boy! He grew up in Weymouth, MA which is about half an hour outside of Boston. He's another center and he's super crafty on the ice. Even if the play is nowhere to be found he will make the play happen.

Trent Frederic: Nicknamed Freddy. This boy. He's so scrappy. He's a center, but he LOVES to fight. And score. He's crafty like CC is on the ice and he's not afraid to take the hit in order to make the play. In his first ever NHL game he got in a fight and it's just continued ever since.

Morgan Geekie: Nicknamed Geeks. Geeks is subtle on the ice. He's a center too but he's like the Swiss army knife of the team. He'll do just about anything and a lot of his goals are sneaky. He doesn't hit a lot, but because he's not a big name a lot of people sort of ignore him because they don't think he's gonna cause damage.

Mark Kastelic: Nicknamed Kasty. Another one that sort of came out of nowhere. He plays center like the guys above. He's speedy like Beech is and scores the way Cees does. Another one that isn't a big name so he doesn't draw the attention.

Elias Lindholm: Nickname: O-Lindy. Yet another center but another really important player. He took a while to get started this season but now that he's in his groove he's almost unstoppable. He takes his time, waiting for the play to come to him. The way the play forms around him is almost like he can see into the future.

Brad Marchand: Nicknamed Marchy, Little Ball of Hate, Rat King. Oh boy. Where do I start with Marchy. He's a a left wing, but more importantly our captain. I could honestly spend an entire post just on him and all his lore. He's scrappy like Freddy, a lot of people labeled him dirty in his younger years but he has matured a lot. Honestly, just watch this video because I can't even begin to describe him.

David Pastrnak: MY BOY, MY LOVE. Nicknamed Pasta. Where do I begin with Pasta. He's our Guy. Our poster child. He is one of the best players in the league. The man will create a goal out of thin air. He's also literally the sweetest human being on the planet. Look at my pinned post for context. Ugh. I cannot say enough good things about this man. He's so. I love him. I love him so much. I love him. He's also an assistant captain. He's been in Boston since he was about 17 or 18 and has become such an amazing player.

Oliver Wahlstrom: Nicknamed ???. Wally maybe???. He showed up like a week ago. He's a right wing. He's also another sort of local boy! He's from Maine which is about 3-4 hours north of Boston depending on where you're going and such. I honestly don't know that much about him yet but I'm excited to see how he does with the team.

Pavel Zacha: Nicknamed Pavs. Pavs Pavs Pavs. What a guy. He's another center but he'll do almost everything on the ice a forward does. He's speedy, he's good at sneaky goal scoring. He's pretty quiet though. He's another one that waits for the play to come to him. But when it does? He will shoot a puck so hard and so fast the goalie doesn't know what happened.

Brandon Carlo: Nicknamed Brando, Bambi. Our first defenseman! He's tall and lanky. He's not so much a major hitter, but he's really good at freeing the puck up to make plays for his forwards. He's pretty injury prone which kinda sucks but he's a really good player. He gets his nickname Bambi because he's so injury prone and tall and lanky. He's another another really sweet guy (same vein as my post about Pasta).

Hampus Lindholm: Nicknamed D-Lindy. Our other Lindy! He's a defenseman too and another Swiss army knife. He's injured right now but he's so good. He hits, he frees the puck. He scores occasionally. A lot of critics say shitty things about him but they're not true. He's one of those guys who does things on the ice that don't show up in the statistics. And also I love him.

Mason Lohrei: Nicknamed Mase. Mason! He's another one in his first full season like Beech. He's still trying to get his legs under him and learn the ropes but he is so so promising. He's good at making hits, but he doesn't really know how to control his body the right way in the NHL yet. He's got MAJOR animated dog energy. That doesn't make sense, but it's true.

Charlie McAvoy: This boy has no many nicknames. Chuck, Chucky, Stallion, Mack. He's our second assistant captain and I'm pretty confident when Marchy hangs his skates up he's gonna be captain. He does everything. He hits BIG (really, opposing forwards hate to see this man coming), he scores, he creates plays. This boy. Oh my god. He is so so so amazing and yet somehow still underrated!

Andrew Peeke: Nickname ???. I honestly don't know what it is. I think it's just his last name. He's another defenseman. He's kinda quiet, doesn't really get a lot of attention. But the way he plays, creates opportunities for forwards, doesn't really show up in the statistics.

Nikita Zadorov. Nicknamed Zaddy (I think). He's huge. The man. Is massive. He will hit so hard the other players get knocked into the next calendar year. Not a huge scorer, but oh my god. Nikita. He hits. He hits so hard. It's insane.

Joonas Korpisalo: Nicknamed Korpy. Our first goalie! Korpy is new this year, replacing Linus Ullmark (never forgotten, we love you Ully). He's pretty solid. I don't have a good read on his character yet but then again he's not Ully. I guess I like him? I don't really have an opinion.

Jeremy Swayman: Nicknamed Sway. Sway! Sway Sway Sway. SO much to say. He first played with the team about three or four years ago at this point. Both our starting goalies went down hard with injuries and he got called up. He is a generational talent. He played a shutout (did not let a SINGLE goal in) within his first few games and has just. Taken off. Sway is hilarious too. He's the typical "weird goalie" but oh my god. He's so unbelievably talented. Excellent candidate for favorite player, btw.

Thus concludes the rundown of the roster. They're an amazing group of guys that play really, really awesome hockey. Again, let me or @camp-bruins know if you have any questions. The Bruins will be playing tonight at 7pm Eastern Standard Time at home against the Buffalo Sabres.

First of all thank you very much! Now, I have actually drawn a little sketch for you. But I'm gonna put it in another post cause I just wanted to use this ask to say a couple things so it doesn’t get bogged down by this, cause this happens to touch close to some topics I wanted to mention for a while now but my brain has a hard time letting me just make permanent text posts on this blog specifically since it's supposed to be for my art.

Long post so I'm putting it below the read more. Sorry if this seems like an inappropriate reply, I really just don’t know how or where else to say these things.

TL;DR: I've given myself strict rules on what I'll personally depict in my mcyt art, I'm not actually fond of flower husbands or Jimmy and Scott's dynamic in general (adore both of them individually though), and I still don't really know much about e1 outside of Lizzie so have 3rd life instead.

First thing is something I probably shoulda said a long time ago cause I've gotten a few asks about drawing explicitly romantic or sexual stuff, but I don't intend to draw either of those things. I have a big difference between what I'm comfortable consuming and what I'm comfortable making myself. I gave myself a lot of personal boundaries when decided to draw mcyt stuff based on my own comfort.

Rule 1 is no sexualization or gore, basically keep things in the realm of the same rating as the hermits.

Rule 2 is that my designs would only be based on skins, lore, and fanon, and never anything around their irl selves.

Rule 3 is not to draw anything that was more than interpretive in relation to romantic vs platonic.

Rule 0.5, the only exceptions to be made would be for references to gags they themselves have made in videos.

I know some of my stuff pushes against the line on these rules, especially for jokes or replying to asks that use shipping terms, but they're ones I don't intend to ever fully cross with my own art. There's a lot of other amazing artists on here who are more comfortable with drawing that stuff.

So if you ever send in a request for art just know that ones that push against or cross these rules to me, I'm going to skip over them. Not anything against the request it's just my own rules. Sometimes I also just don't get to them, but I'd appreciate those rules being kept in mind when requesting.

Second topic starts with a bit of a story. So, I got introduced to the life series through a Grian animation that popped up when I was in my more standard annual hermitcraft phase. The first thing I watched of the life series was thus Grian's videos of 3rd life and double life very out of order and jumping all over the place.

Cause of that the very first thing I ever saw in relation to flower husbands was after Jimmy was already dead, and it was Scott talking about how his husband is dead after the desert war, telling Grian "see this is why I don't trust Jimmy with anything, because he's incompetent. I did warn you all." and it never really recovered from that first impression for me. It actually took me a long time to figure out it was more than a one off joke to call him his husband, cause it felt like every time I saw a scene with Scott he was just insulting Jimmy or begrudgingly putting up with him in a not very funny way. I really do not vibe with them as the flower husbands cause of that.

(That said I do adore both of them separately, and they are very entertaining as exes. Scott's just a lot more enjoyable as part of GGG and the divorcees, and I am very susceptible to the 'Jimmy bullying joke didn't quite land and I'm now just uncomfortable' low tolerance problem.)

Third is, I have actually watched an empires 1 pov now! Yay! But it was Lizzie's and there honestly isn't all that much related to them in her pov. There was actually not nearly as much related to others as I expected in general. Still loved it but didn't provide much is far as context for the season as a whole. Plus I'm unhappy with Scott's design for it and wanna redesign it. So basically I drew them from 3rd life instead.

nerd mammon headcannons

a/n: basically on instagram @/bukan_audy drew nerd mammon and then i saw other obey me artists draw nerd mammon and i can’t sleep so here are some headcannons!!! <3 :))

WARNING: talks of bullying

in this AU mammon has no fashion sense, isn’t keeping up with trends, not a model obviously so he dresses like a causal nerd or just puts on whatever he likes (just imagine mammon with suspenders on…)

i can’t tell if mammon is more like satan or levi in this AU (i know levi’s not a nerd but an otaku BUT he could still watch anime and play video games and program) OR he’s like satan. is just a total bookworm, top of his class, loves to study and is 100% book smart not street smart

remember that cannon mammon is a harison potter fan so in my opinion nerd mammon leans towards levi type nerd. watched/watches all the movies, owns all the books, i think in one lesson, the one where the brothers all put on a play for the RAD showcase or maybe an event, mammon suggested they do the harison potter play (knows all the lines by heart and songs if they’re any) even knows what house he’s in and owns every single piece of merchandise

DEFINITELY super shy and introverted, highly flustered and embarrassed just like cannon mammon and highly sensitive. he doesn’t have friends or people he can talk to because of his personality (can totally relate lol) but i feel like if he found someone mc he could be that type of person to come out of his shell and be 100% extroverted around close friends (can also relate)

to add on to the last part because of his outside personality he is a target of bullying sadly and has no one to defend him so he just has to “put up with it” (i only put it in quotation marks because you don’t just put up with bullying it’s a serious issue)

he doesn’t tell any adults about it because he doesn’t want his bullies finding out and punishing him 10 fold. And for the sake of this AU the only bullying he encounters is the ones in 2000’s high school movies where the jocks rule the school and the nerds are at the bottom of the social ladder (ex. shoved into lockers, lunch money being taken, textbooks slammed out of hands, words like nerd, freak, and loser being used as insults etc)

ANYWAYS… this is the part where mc shows up so buckle up. in the instagram comics of obey me artists drawing nerd mammon their oc is a delinquent so the ones i’ve seen (tough and scary person falls in love with soft and shy person you know that trope) but you can imagine something else totally up to you.

mammon fell hard for mc when they stood up to the bullies right before anything bad happened, he never had someone in his life who cared to stop the bullying even if it was just this one time and after that mammon couldn’t stop thinking about you

he thought about you all the time what holding your hand was like, what kissing was like, how you would cuddle and praise him etc. now to which he studied everything he could about you. your features, personality, who your friends are, hobbies, how you do academically etc. now since he learned all about you he tried to use this to get close with you

key word try because whenever you so much as looked his way he combusted into a pile of goo and couldn’t focus at school. you noticed for a while how strange his behavior was so you went up to him and made small talk trying to get to know him better. maybe become his friend he didn’t say much and avoided all eye contact like you were the plague.

on the bright side you noticed his harison potter backpack (when i say he has all the merchandise he owns IT ALL BUDDY) you talked to him about the backpack and his dam of nerdiness poured out all at one

after that lovely conversation the two of you grew close and became best friends, his first friend aka his first. mammon would invite you to watch harison potter with him and hangout. you got head deep in all the lore and drama while you sat there and loved his excitement of it all and how much he came out of his shell for you

the more you spent time with him and got to know him you realized you fell for the nerd and just had to tell him but he beat you to the punch when he asked you out using a harison potter pickup line (totally was embarrassed and flustered for a good 25 minutes but you love him nonetheless)

you became his first crush, first friend and first love.

In terms of recommendations, The 2¢ Show is good album if you want to know how they used to sound, and 1896 is a great album for how they sound now. Mk III is a perfect in-between point IMO. Steam World Heist music is very different and has just about no in-lore relation to the actual band, but you can listen to that if you don't want to worry about lore.

With every album, their musical style evolves, so don't expect the same thing every time!

One of my personal favorite song is Eat Your Heart, which was the song to draw me in, but Honeybee and Brass goggles are their most popular songs. In general though, I think I'll Rust With You and Over the Moon are the best songs to start with if you're trying to determine their overall sound.

Before I start, each of the albums have a number theme in their titles. This might be helpful later.

Unless you care more about the lore than the music, I wouldn’t recommend jumping into the lore just yet. There's quite a lot to take in, and keeping up with it is not easy considering their lore extends beyond their music.

It’s a bit of a strange thing because a good chunk of their songs have a plot and a good chunk of their songs do not!

The first three albums (Album One, The 2¢ Show, and Mk III) aren’t too heavy on lore. If there is lore, then it's about the characters you should already know (The main robots). So there’s not a lot you need to catch up on.

Everything past The Vice Quadrant (Quintessential and 1896) isn't too explicit as to what's going on in the lore. The last song of both albums give you a bit of a surprise as if to say, "the lore is still relevant" but you don't have to worry too much on understanding it right away.

The Vice Quadrant is extremely lore-heavy, and there are a lot of details left out of the songs that are meant to be found elsewhere. I've found that a lot of people don't like VQ right away because it can be very confusing. I wasn't a huge fan until I started to really understand the lore, and now I love that album.

The Seventh is coming up, which we don't know a lot about, but considering the fact that the band is trying not to "spoil" what the album's about, it's probably lore-heavy as well. So be prepared if you decide to stick around!

If you want to start learning about the lore, SPG has a bunch of stuff on their website which I'll list from easier to understand to harder to understand.

Backstory - Mostly relevant to the robots and how they came to be, who invented them, their motivation, etc. [x]

Timeline - Goes into depth about what happened with the robots and their inventor's family [x]

VQ Timeline - Goes into depth about what happens in the Vice Quadrant. This lore is interconnected with the main timeline. A lot of this is a huge game of connect the dots so be warned. (It's got cool art though if you want to look at that) [x]

The Cavalcadium - Essentially a very elaborate way to make all fan characters canon. I don't recommend getting into this one until later down the line. It's very complicated, and is more intended for FAN fans than it is for casual enjoyers. [x]

Hey so I didn't learn my lesson from how much listening to steampunk music has ruined me so far. And I was considering getting into Steam Powered Giraffe?

SPG fans are there best albums/best songs/best places to start? I've poked around on the wiki a bit and there definitely seems to be a lot of Plot but I don't know how much that means about whether or not things need to be listened to in order. How does one listen to this?

TØP Monthly Update #156: Arc Welding (3/18/22)

Well... that was wild.

In the last update I posted all the way back in January, I mentioned that there had been hints of Twenty One Pilots posting a music video for "The Outside" any day now. Fast forward two months, and we finally have an answer for why we had to wait so dang long for this video, long after the song had stopped being pushed as a single.

This was quite possibly the most ambitious music video ever released by Twenty One Pilots. It, combined with its accompanying supplemental material from dmaorg, draws from nearly a decade of Twenty One Pilots myth building, welding together arcs I wasn't even fully aware were relevant to provide answers to numerous questions we've had about the world of Trench, give a statisfying conclusion (?) to the Dema story, and perhaps offer an exciting look at what lies in the band's future.

Now, I do not have the time to give all of the deserved attention to all the different bits of lore offered to us this week. There's a lot going on in my life, so I'll have to revisit some in future installments. But I'm gonna try my best to cover all the big stuff in a big stream of consciousness under the read more. Come with me, won't you?

Following a few clips and screenshots of the MV, our first hint from earlier this week that this was going to be more than just a performance video for a (honestly kinda mid-tier) TØP track was the release of this map of Trench on dmaorg. Four locations were labeled, three of which we were already familiar with: the Continent of Trench, the city of Dema, and Port Vial (presumably the port from "Saturday"). But the fourth... a small island called Voldsøy... which in Norwegian roughly translates to...

"Island of Violence." Tyler Joseph, you absolute mad-lad.

The next release was an extensive letter from Clancy, our first in roughly three years ever since he got captured by Trench. This letter confirmed his involvement in producing Scaled and Icy and the Livestream Performance while also providing context to the "Saturday" video; apparently it was the oft-mentioned "Annual Assemblage of the Glorified", and the bishops in attendance were somehow decoys.

Then came the video, and all became clear. Well, maybe clear isn't the right word. But comprehensible, and exciting.

After washing ashore, Tyler and Josh encounter not just one Ned, but a host of Neds. This is the moment where it dawned on me just what Tyler was trying to do. When Ned first appeared in "Chlorine", he marked an apparent deviation from all of the previous Trench storytelling; this video was attempting to bring all of their prior work into the circle of this story. The main Ned provides Tyler with his antlers... antlers that match those of the bishop murdered in the opening, whose yellow eyes match those of the dying Trash and the hosts of the Livestream... whose yellow eyes match those now held by Tyler, who controls the vessel of the dead bishop to destroy Dema himself... It's incomprehensible to most, yet so clear to us who have been along for the ride.

The final postscript from Clancy, released just after the video, brings it all back home. We get full confirmation(/possible retcon) that he is the character that Tyler has been playing in all of these Trench music videos, that Clancy's third person description of "Jumpsuit" was a result of him being removed from his body by Dema's control. We get confirmation that the TV hosts, the submarine staff, the "Glorious Gone" are all possessed by bishops, using the powers of the Ned creatures' antlers to fill vessels that they had emptied out with vialism. We get hints that all the other videos that appear to have had nothing to do with the narrative are dreams and symptoms of the bishops invading the minds of our protagonist.

Vessels. Islands of Violence, complete with snippets of "Migraine". Blurryfaced bishops. Dema, seemingly burning down and with the kids from "Nico and the Niners" joyfully fleeing it to chase a new horizon. Neds. Yellow-eyed dragons and TV hosts. All of these wildly different creative elements, deftly weaved together like it was obvious they were meant to fit together this whole time. I'm so inspired. Sure sounds like our local dreamer.
