the anon message that asked me to put a tw on the stuff i reblog that’s happening in gaza right now, i am respectfully telling you….no. please just unfollow me. i dont feel right putting tw so other people can’t see what’s happening right now. everyone needs to know what is happening because we’re literally witnessing an ethnic cleansing while western media companies are reporting it as something else. so if spreading awareness and clips of what the people in gaza are going through is another thing me as a privilege person who don’t have to worry about waking up and my home getting destroyed by air strikes and shit or losing a family member for simply existing on a piece of land when western media and celebs are promoting the complete opposite is something i can do…i’m not putting trigger warnings on it.

"There are no bad and good "Ukrainians". Just like there are no different kinds of shit. The one who accepted the Ukrainian identity, accepted the ideology, values, goals, myths, way of thinking, behavior, and other charms of Ukrainianism. Therefore, the one who who considers himself a "Ukrainian" has a set of standard properties and qualities inherent in the sect of Ukrainians, he is standard in this. He must correspond to the chosen identity. Therefore, the abomination that we now observe in the thoughts and actions of "Ukrainians" is an abomination, equally inherent to everyone who considers himself a “Ukrainian.” A mentally normal person will not consciously identify himself as a “Ukrainian.” A “Ukrainian” is a shame and disgrace. I summarize. I don’t make generalizations about the “whole people”, this people simply does not exist in nature. I am only describing the sect and the psychopathic essence inherent in its group identity, on the basis of which socio-political events are now taking place in Ukraine, which have turned my once flourishing land into ruins." - Andrey Vajra. ( Put this quote on your wall in a frame and read it every day🙂 )
I am only posting this so that all of my mutuals can see the levels of literal nazi rhetoric Ukrainians have to deal with every day.
Like.... look at this genocidal blabber. This is what russians demolish our cities and create mass graves and torture chambers in the name of.
All I can add is that I hope this anon chokes on their own shit, together with all the nazis they are jerking off to.

Memorial Days
I will be watching the joint Palestinian-Israeli event for (Israel's) Memorial Day tomorrow.
here is last year's event, which I also watched live. There are subtitles for Hebrew, Arabic, and English - all three are spoken during the event.
After living through decades of American and Israeli ultra-nationalist war-drum Memorial Day events, I'd almost forgotten what the day should be for - remembering the lost and hoping for a future of peace.
gird yourself if you want to join me. the journey is cathartic, but it is not easy. there will be no comfort of bawdy patriotism and no bloodlust to blind and deafen. I cried almost straight through last year and probably will again. if you need to take a break, do so. after over 570 days of slaughter it's a wonder anyone can go on at all.

Right, fuming medical student here. Buckle tf up:
the A&P book is a locally written medical textbook, meaning the authors typically write dedications in their mother tongue: Arabic (its common practice to write in both arabic and english for dedications/ forwards etc.) as opposed to international medical textbooks like my Tortora A&P textbook.
not only is the paper a different colour, the font is larger and unmatching, its not even the same size paper and is sticking out from the bottom
Grave spelling mistake: its "sacrificed" not "sacrify" you illiterate cancerous growth. Medical textbooks get proof-read you imbecile
i cant be sure, but something tells me Hamas has better things to do than planting fake evidence (bc they have real, incriminating footage lol) in a random textbook... like ridding the world of your idiocy. but its just a hunch idk :)
for the billionth time, JEWS AND ISRAEL ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE TERMS unlike you have been conditioned to believe. Jews are those who follow the religion of Judaism, Israel is an illegal, occupying, colonial, settler, war criminal state created in 1948 on stolen Palestinian land.
and fyi; nothing, nothing you [IDF/ israel] do will ever 'reduce' the hate for israel. your lies have forever been uncovered for the whole world to see. anti-zionism is not anti-semitism, a simple google search will verify this.
Martrys by definition (regardless of religion) are people killed because of their religious beliefs, whereas terrorists are defined as those who use intimidation and unlawful violence in pursuit of political goals:
1- DYING FOR YOUR COUNTRY ISNT A POLITICAL STANCE; its an honour and a duty that many people dedicate their lives to. this may sound odd in the west, but in the middle east (esp in Palestine), our history and culture and heritage is deeply rooted in the land and most people will gladly die for their countries. this ofc is not limited to the MENA region. ALSO, theres an entire genre of art and literature dedicated to the love and longing for one's homeland (Haneen) just to drive the intense love people have for their native lands home <3
2- those Palestinian martyrs died protecting their land and mosque, where is the terrorism here? the rocks?? the molotovs?? saying no to an illegal occupation? breathing in the wrong direction????????
3- they died because they were shot, assaulted and violated by the worlds second most powerful army. the only terrorists are the IDF soldiers who match the definition of terrorism to a T
4- dedicating a book to the souls of martyrs who died were murdered for resisting an illegal occupying state is apparently a crime now? what where they supposed to do? give you the key to their homes and land and holy sites with smiles on their faces? what barbarism is this? what depravity?? if this were ukraine they would be hailed as heros, but because there are Palestinians/ Middle Easterners/ Arabs/ Muslims who are dying being killed left right and center, its ok. Take Sudan rn for example. complete and total silence. typical.
israelis arent innocent. theyre settlers who live in stolen homes on stolen land and dont hold back when expressing their hate and despicable intolerance of Palestinians and Arabs alike. If yall dont want to die, maybe give back what youve stolen and leave the land? idk just an idea.
Israel doesnt want peace, never has, never will. this pathetic fabrication is now one of millions of pieces of evidence piled against israel.
as if a human being with higher cognitive function will ever think "wow, a book (incorrectly) dedicated to Palestinians is hate speech! this IDF hero is so right!! they dont want peace!!! the earth is flat and trump is living in my attic!!!!!!"
i will, with every breath i have till my dying day, keep talking and yelling and screaming about Palestine. i want to die with a clear conscience thank you. and though my efforts are humble and negligable, i refuse to sit and do nothing. i will never shut up i promise.
thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Another fabricated evidence.
Noy Leyb plants a fake paper into a school book for a propaganda video. The paper has 8 folds, while the one before and after does not have any. It is written in English, and the spoken language of the people there is Arabic.
I like the bit where the first two pages (clearly fresh out of the photocopier) have a shade of white lighter than the slightly off-white colouring of the rest of the pages.
C+ for effort.
A+ for stupidity.
F for overall performance.

It's actually really frightening to see officially sanctioned genocide denial rise up in Western countries in real time. Like, I remember 20 years ago hearing about how it was illegal in Turkey to point out that the Armenian Genocide happened, and how I thought that that was fucking evil and oppressive. Now here we are, with a campaign in Gaza that experts have called 'a textbook case of genocide', for which the UN Human Rights counsel has determined there are "reasonable grounds" to call it genocide, and the US Congress is trying to make it illegal to criticize Israel. We have Hollywood agencies refusing to represent anyone who points out that a genocide is currently taking place. And it's just the same shit from a fresh asshole as we got from the Turkish government over what happened in Armenia in the 1920s, like "Oh yes, there were killings, but...calling it genocide? Ohhhh, you must be very hateful to our poor little nation to think that our people are capable of that 😢 😭!" Fuck off.

Imagine being an Information Technology student, your days filled with lectures, coding projects, and dreams of a better future. Then one day, your entire world is upended. You find yourself standing atop the ruins of your home, the bitter wind biting through your clothes as you stare at the devastation stretching endlessly before you. In the blink of an eye, your world has transformed from textbooks and computer screens to survival amid the wreckage of a genocide.

Images: (Top) Mahmoud before the start of the conflict. (Bottom) Mahmoud, standing atop the ruins of his home, destroyed by occupation attacks.
@mahmodjsy8
Story written by @rumiandroses
Before the war, Mahmoud was an Information Technology student at Gaza University, harboring dreams of building a brighter future for his family. Those dreams were shattered when the university was bombed, classes were suspended, and his home in Khan Yunis was reduced to ruins. Now, Mahmoud and his family live in a makeshift tent in a displacement camp, fighting to survive without water, electricity, or access to food.
The winter cold seeps through every threadbare inch of the tent, and the howling wind drowns out the silence left by everything they’ve lost. With his father sick and his brother in need of medical care, Mahmoud shoulders the burden of his family’s survival alone. Every day is a battle against hunger and despair, a struggle to find clean water and enough food to keep his loved ones alive.
Despite the ceasefire, the nightmare continues. The streets of Gaza are lined with hollow buildings and shattered glass, a grim reminder that peace is a fragile but unwavering hope. The infrastructure is decimated, jobs are nonexistent, and the people are left to fend for themselves amid the wreckage. Mahmoud's dreams of finishing his education are now intertwined with a desperate plea for survival—for the chance to escape Gaza, to rebuild their lives, to turn the page on this chapter of endless loss.
Your support can help Mahmoud continue his education outside of Gaza, to rebuild what was destroyed, and to keep his family alive through the darkest winter they’ve ever known.
Please consider making a donation to help Mahmoud's family rebuild, or by sharing his story so his call for help can reach others who can.
You can donate to Mahmoud's GoFundMe campaign [HERE].
Mahmoud’s campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters, and is (#063) on their list of verified campaigns. His campaign has also been vetted by @beesandwatermelons, and is (#190) on their list of verified campaigns

AZ running a hotel in PLZA is so funny. Imagine you go to the front desk to check in and you see the guy from your French textbook who is a spitting image of a king from approximately 3000 years ago who genocided so badly he fucked the timeline over. The king whose descendant also tried to commit genocide a few years back before he was crushed to death under a pile of ancient rocks.

In a statement that was shared with The Nation, a group of 25 HLR editors expressed their concerns about the decision. “At a time when the Law Review was facing a public intimidation and harassment campaign, the journal’s leadership intervened to stop publication,” they wrote. “The body of editors—none of whom are Palestinian—voted to sustain that decision. We are unaware of any other solicited piece that has been revoked by the Law Review in this way. “ When asked for comment, the leadership of the Harvard Law Review referred The Nation to a message posted on the journal’s website. “Like every academic journal, the Harvard Law Review has rigorous editorial processes governing how it solicits, evaluates, and determines when and whether to publish a piece…” the note began. ”Last week, the full body met and deliberated over whether to publish a particular Blog piece that had been solicited by two editors. A substantial majority voted not to proceed with publication.” Today, The Nation is sharing the piece that the Harvard Law Review refused to run. Some may claim that the invocation of genocide, especially in Gaza, is fraught. But does one have to wait for a genocide to be successfully completed to name it? This logic contributes to the politics of denial. When it comes to Gaza, there is a sense of moral hypocrisy that undergirds Western epistemological approaches, one which mutes the ability to name the violence inflicted upon Palestinians. But naming injustice is crucial to claiming justice. If the international community takes its crimes seriously, then the discussion about the unfolding genocide in Gaza is not a matter of mere semantics. The UN Genocide Convention defines the crime of genocide as certain acts “committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such.” These acts include “killing members of a protected group” or “causing serious bodily or mental harm” or “deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.” Numerous statements made by top Israeli politicians affirm their intentions. There is a forming consensus among leading scholars in the field of genocide studies that “these statements could easily be construed as indicating a genocidal intent,” as Omer Bartov, an authority in the field, writes. More importantly, genocide is the material reality of Palestinians in Gaza: an entrapped, displaced, starved, water-deprived population of 2.3 million facing massive bombardments and a carnage in one of the most densely populated areas in the world. Over 11,000 people have already been killed. That is one person out of every 200 people in Gaza. Tens of thousands are injured, and over 45% of homes in Gaza have been destroyed. The United Nations Secretary General said that Gaza is becoming a “graveyard for children,” but a cessation of the carnage—a ceasefire—remains elusive. Israel continues to blatantly violate international law: dropping white phosphorus from the sky, dispersing death in all directions, shedding blood, shelling neighborhoods, striking schools, hospitals, and universities, bombing churches and mosques, wiping out families, and ethnically cleansing an entire region in both callous and systemic manner. What do you call this? The Center for Constitutional Rights issued a thorough, 44-page, factual and legal analysis, asserting that “there is a plausible and credible case that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian population in Gaza.” Raz Segal, a historian of the Holocaust and genocide studies, calls the situation in Gaza “a textbook case of Genocide unfolding in front of our eyes.”

what is happening in ukraine is absolutely a genocide by all definitions of the word – it is textbook down to the last bullet and bomb – and yet there are people on here who claim to care about human life who still insist it's all a ploy or it doesn't matter because "white people" or worse, because they're simping for a fascist (putin. it's putin.)
