ok i just want to share something i’ve thought about for a while in regards to an extended cf route. i think it would’ve been so cool if in the last four chapters cf is missing, as you’re fighting twsitd, you don’t have access to divine pulse. byleth obviously loses the crest stone in their heart after rhea is defeated, which personally i think would mean they would lose access to sothis’s powers. not sure about the sword of the creator. anyways, i just think this would have been an insane gimmick to add. you go the whole game using that ability as a crutch, only for it to be ripped away at the hardest part of the game. in my opinion it would only serve to reinforce the key themes of crimson flower, which to me are choice and sacrifice. it would really just be like, okay there’s really no going back now. i chose this path and i’m prepared to face the consequences. obviously this would make the rest of the game ridiculously hard and maddening would basically be impossible😭 but i genuinely think it’s such a missed opportunity. have any other cf fans thought about this?? just me??
