Who knew a few DMs exchanged on Instagram would lead to a new friendship and a spontaneous photoshoot 👯‍♀️ With a camera bigger than our heads and @msmaggiely’s endless amount of luggage we bonded through our love for travelling. We had the best lighting for our jacaranda photos last year in Spring but more recently we had a failed sunset shoot at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair with no colour in the sky 😂 It’s funny how we own a few matching outfits despite our opposite Instagram feeds and photography styles ☯️ Have you connected with someone on Instagram? 👇🏻 👗 @hm 📍 Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair — Sydney, Australia (at Sydney, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd78x8oPdqA/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Here’s a gentle reminder of how beautiful @sydney is ✨ . . On a more personal note, hey IG fam! Sorry I’ve been quiet on here lately. I may continue to be a bit quieter over the next month or so as I settle in to a new role at work and finally go on my first overseas business trip in over 2 years. I’m trying to juggle travel planning, wedding planning, events, social activities, full time and part time work right now and it’s slightly overwhelming! But I can’t wait to revive this account as a *real* travel account again. . . Speaking of travel, where’s your favourite destination you’ve visited? Mine is definitely Iceland for its out of this world landscapes 🗻 . . 📷 @msmaggiely (at Sydney, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd5f4-tP3lT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Phae Mueang Phi (Ghost City Grove) is considered a mysterious place by the locals. The name is derived from a belief that ancient ghosts still live there. There are many different types of ghosts in Thai legend, and many horror movies have been produced from these folk tales. I’d say Thai horror movies are one of the scariest ones out there! Have you seen any? 👻 . . 📍 Phae Mueang Phi — Phrae, Thailand (at Phae Mueang Phi) https://www.instagram.com/p/CchzzCYPlJ5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

That feeling when you’re on a road trip and you have to stop the car to take in the views ✨ . . If you’re planning a trip to Nan in Thailand, you can’t miss a road trip to Bo Kluea, a small town that has ancient salt mines. The journey there will take you past many viewpoints like this. . . 📍 Somewhere along road 1081 — Nan, Thailand (at Nan Thailand) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb7MCv8vIwV/?utm_medium=tumblr

Si Satchanalai (or the “city of good people”) was founded in 1250 and is currently a @unesco World Heritage Site. It’s located north of Sukhothai city. You’ll find what remains of ancient palaces, temples and homes here. This photo was taken at Wat Nang Phaya (Monastery of the Queen), which is one of the newer temples. Locals say it was built by a Chinese princess but this remains only a legend as no evidence has been found 📜 . . Tickets are 100 baht (AU$4) each. There are shuttle buses inside to take you from one site to another or you can hire a bicycle for an additional fee. You’ll need at least half a day here to explore the whole park. . . Have you seen places like this before? . . 📍 Si Satchanalai Historical Park — Sukhothai, Thailand (at Si Satchanalai) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbzdc1-vBbN/?utm_medium=tumblr

Would you rather spend a day on a white sandy beach or exploring the mountains? For me, I really can’t choose between the two, so Krabi is the perfect destination since it has both ⛰ 🌊 . . 📍 Phranang Beach — Krabi, Thailand (at Krabi, Thailand) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbXGZmTP-e_/?utm_medium=tumblr

I’ve been a bit quiet lately because I’ve been bed bound for the last two days with a killer headache and a mild fever. 3 RAT + 1 PCR all came back negative and I’m still puzzled how I got away with it. I’m still convinced the results are wrong. That, or covid saw me and ran away (not sure if that’s a compliment) 😂 . . Anyway, here’s another #photodump of beautiful Sukhothai ✨ . . 📍 Sukhothai Historical Park — Sukhothai, Thailand (at Sukhothai, Thailand) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbKPOCsv0ym/?utm_medium=tumblr

It’s always hard to find things to do on a rainy day in @sydney, especially if you’re like me and enjoy being outdoors. Over the weekend I visited the @artgalleryofnsw with @msmaggiely and @tikandhini. Safe to say we had a lot of fun strolling around all the different exhibitions! Here a #photodump of what’s on minus the Matisse exhibition 🖼 . . Also, hope everyone is staying safe during these crazy floods 🥺 . . 📍 Art Gallery of NSW — Sydney, Australia . . 📷 1 & 3 by @msmaggiely (at Art Gallery of NSW) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca1oeduvIoz/?utm_medium=tumblr

When you walk around Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai, you’ll find 8 Buddha statues scattered across the temple grounds and rows of pillars that used to hold up “viharas” or temples. I got to this particular spot just after dawn, just as the morning rays carefully lit up each column, bringing out the red and rusty tones. Sunrise at Wat Mahathat is a must do if you’re visiting Sukhothai ☀️ . . 📍 Wat Mahathat — Sukhothai, Thailand (at Sukhothai, Thailand) https://www.instagram.com/p/CajjyIUPb7L/?utm_medium=tumblr

The most iconic spot of Wat Mahathat in Sukhothai Historical Park is in fact right opposite it. I flew my drone a few times in Thailand and every time it became a conversation starter! People would ask if it’s easy to fly and take photos/videos. My answer is still no, it’s not easy to fly because I still haven’t flown it often enough, but in terms of taking photos and videos everything looks good from the sky ☁️ . . It took me so long to set up this shot because I needed that symmetry. Do you have a drone and would you get one? . . 📍 Wat Pa Phu Hai Long — Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand (at Thailand) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaRkVPLPr-Q/?utm_medium=tumblr

Sneak peek of Sukhothai • This is the latest set of photos I’ve been editing and I’ve been loving (and struggling with) the red and rusty tones of the old capital of Thailand. Sukhothai was the capital from 1238 until 1438, and has been traditionally known as the “first Thai kingdom”, although historians think the history of Thai people began much earlier ♥️ . . If you’d like to visit this ancient park I suggest going at sunrise as it was so quiet and peaceful, and you almost have the whole place to yourself. Would you visit this place? . . 📍 Sukhothai Historical Park — Sukhothai, Thailand . . 📷 Mum (at Sukhothai, Thailand) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaPBqFCP-tV/?utm_medium=tumblr

It takes roughly 150 steps to reach the top of this temple.
