What is the deal with Paedon Brown?? I just started watching sister wives and I'm missing a lot of context, buf if his sister is telling the public not to trust much of what he says, I assume something big happened

So I don't know if I have the whole story bc I haven't carved out any time to dive into either Paedon or Gwen's personal videos yet, outside of what reddit and tumblr feed me, but from what I understand:

Paedon's chosen to be very right-leaning socially and politically, and that directly affects Gwen because he openly disagrees with her sexuality and has said so in videos (he's done the same to their trans sibling Leon in addition to deadnaming them and using incorrect pronouns when talking about them). He voted for Trump and per everyone involved (Gwen, Leon, Paedon, parents) he has had really serious arguments and altercations with a lot of family members about that. I think he's also expressed doubt about Gwen's autism diagnosis.

At some point during an argument (not totally sure about the timeline), Paedon slapped Gwen across the face and I guess it scared her enough that she didn't want to be alone with him anymore. Those two also have a history of being kept separate even as younger kids, and I'm not sure if the slap was the cause of that back then or if it was something that happened more recently. Regardless, they just have a history of not getting along very well.

All of the above has put Paedon on bad terms with a lot of his family per some of the parents/siblings. I don't think he has great relationships with many of his siblings from any of the moms currently and per Kody is kind of an 'outsider' right now.

What's weird to me about Gwen saying he's untrustworthy is that a lot of what they both have been talking about as far as their childhoods seems to line up?? Paedon does seem like a dogshit person in many ways but I haven't yet heard anything from him that sounds like a blatant lie or that doesn't have direct supporting evidence, so idk.

Those are just the bits and pieces I've picked up along the way, again I don't think I have the whole story.

My thoughts on Sabotage (Shadows of Fire 1)

After months since it was released, I finally read it!! (hence my return to this side blog after virtually abandoning it for years 😅) But before I did, I reread all the chronicles of Nick books because it had been soooooooo long since last time I read those that I was sure there were details I'd forgotten. Oh boy! How right I was about that!

Anyway, back to Sabotage. I love it so much. It felt good to be back with the whole gang. I've missed them. The book is a nice set-up for the next chunk of the overall story, but it was too short for my liking! It was over just when it was getting interesting 😞 But after waiting so long for it, I take what I can get!

One thing I'm grateful is that we finally had Kody's original name spelled out for us. I know it's silly and Sherri had confirmed it a while ago, but it's the biggest pet peeve I had with CoN. I drove me crazy, absolutely insane, that her name kept changing basically with every new book that was released. I know it's a me thing, and most people couldn't care less about it. I know!! Don't @ me.

My baby Styxx was in it!!!! And for what I can guess he'll continue to be in the series for a bit. i have no words for how happy that makes me!!! But I resent that we didn't see a father-daughter hug!! We had uncle-niece's reunion, but not daddy-kid's?! How's that fair? 😣

And I cannot believe Cyprian's entitlement! OMG! Seriously dude! I mean, I get that as Malachai, he's an angry guy and craves to be loved the way Nick is loved, but like take it with your mother who was the one who sexually assaulted your father in a dream and then she hid you from him. and treated you like garbage. You shouldn't take with the guy that never knew of your existence until like half an hour before you killed him. just saying!

And yes, everyone should be smothered with love as Nick is, but you can't demand it. It sucks when the ones who should love and cherish you don't (i can't even imagine how bad bc I've been lucky enough to have a loving family), but you can't throw a 4-year-old-like tantrum, so massive that transcends time.

My question is, Was Cyprian conceived before or after the curse was broken? Because if was before, it could explain his attitude somewhat, but if it was after, dude! you have no excuse!!!

a little grungier for the fiery boye! but still soft hehe. i think this song is VERY FITTING for hux and damien (and also for damien/freelancer if thats your thing!) because it’s so full of longing like. damien is Yearning Personified and thats so clear in his confessions, and this song is literally about wanting to be with someone its a match made in heaven tbh. also the lyric ‘let me be your portable heater’ are you KIDDING ME its perfect

lasko my skrunkly!! this song goes well with the nervous energy you get when you like someone, which lasko Definitely shows in not only his non-canon audios but even his early audios when he just rly wants to be friends with freelancer :(( so cute. this song is full of refreshing and cute vibes that remind me of lasko!

an angry song for the shitstain elemental <33 as an avid member of the deck kody club this song perfectly represents how i feel (and how i think freelancer could feel) towards him, with bitter sarcastic lyrics and a dnb chorus which makes me feel like fighting a bitch. the bitch is kody. SERIOUSLY FUCK THAT GUY

sultry, passionate vibes for mr incubus! the instrumental of this song feels pretty sexy and sensual which obviously works for gavin, but then the lyrics are about this love between the singer and the muse, who consoles him and comforts him <33 perfect for gavin and freelancer’s relationship! also the song talks about kissing compared to ‘eternal bliss’ which i think is a cool mirror to gavin always talking about giving freelancer ‘rapture’ hehe

caelum: magic by txt

MY SON ok i see this song as freelancer’s pov about caelum, and it talks about how the muse found them in a dark place and helped them to come back to themselves, which is perfect for these two! only good vibes here. also the allusions to magic are obviously apt for freelancer and caelum, comparing the love to a magic that helped them. while the song is intented to be romantic i think it can definitely be taken as platonic and applied to these two <33 caelum come back i miss you

anyways uhhh this song is peaceful and calm, with an acoustic instrumental and soft vocals that make me feel relaxed, just like cam! the lyrics also talk about lots of positive human interactions and their negative underlying feelings (and vice versa) which goes with cam’s serenity thing, and there’s a line that says ‘gonna make you feel alright, take your dreams, keep them out of sight’ WHICH IS SO PERFECT FOR CAM LIKE,,,, guys i can’t even explain to you just google the lyrics i love jacob collier

this song is all about the singer unlocking the repressed feelings of the muse, which is SOOO good for vega and warden like. he uses pretty words and his mf amazing voice to manipulate them, especially in his latest audio where he’s trying to get them to accept their demonic traits and such. and i feel like this song could be taken in a manipulative way too! a trippy, layered instrumental and poetic metaphors that draw you in and make you want to give everything to the singer. vega is a guilty pleasure for me can you tell lolol

the yandere anthem for the invisiboi... like fr there isn’t much to say here the song is about the singer stalking his muse and trying to convince them that they are made for one another, that he is all they need, and what is more regulus than that? ‘you’ll never meet another me’ like??? literally written for him next question
