TADC OCs: "The Die Quartet"!

"Oh but Ziku, who are these very handsome die?"

Well I'm glad nobody asked, because that would ruin the joke!

The Die Quartet are OCs of mine that I created for TADC, and for what purpose? Well, they're the minds behind show's music!

Hidden just behind a corner or two, or four, These obliviously mischievous and enthusiastic quartet play whatever music they can, one that certainly matches the current "mood" of what the cast is going through. Meet Cuba, Dodeca, Tetra, and Octa, The Amazing Musical Performers, for The Amazing Digital Circus!

LORE AND BOUNDARIES UNDERNEATH THE CUT!

When the Circus was initially created, it was feeling too barren for a place that's meant to be "lively". And so, Caine went and copy-pasted himself four times, while replacing the heads with some die props he found on the floor, retexturing and adjusting their bodies, to fit their new roles.

A little bit of a code rewrite to make them able of producing any sounds all on their own to be musically intertwined, and the quartet was basically ready to go: but there's only one problem.

Caine completely forgot to remove the admin privileges from their code.

So once the four spawned, they immediately began floating around, dancing and creating the main theme for the circus, and did it all perfectly. So Caine decided that as long as they don't interfere with anything major in the circus and did their job as the musical minds behind the show/game's soundtracks, he doesn't really care about fixing this error and would rather let these four run rampant to create more songs.

Ever since then, the Die Quartet has been messing with every circus members, most of the time playing obnoxious music that fits the "current mood". You'll even see their canes dance to the tempo they've set, like some backup dancers.

Think of it like: You now have x4 Caines with dice heads, flying and snooping around, so that they can "improve the mood" with their music! Ain't that swell??

(But really, all they do is just annoy the Circus members just like Caine does, for the better or the worse. Probably the latter.)

Fun facts about the Die Quartet!

Even though they've all been created at the same time and share the features of a die, they do not consider themselves as "brothers", and only see one another as colleagues instead.

Their names are related to the type of their die: Tetra (yellow), Dodeca (purple), Cuba (red), and Octa (green).

Despite being reused assets of Caine himself, they have distinct personalities that separate them from each other: Tetra is more joyful and playful, Dodeca is a more dramatic/theatric and over the top, Cuba is the natural lead and more stern than anybody, and Octa is the more closed off of the gang but willing to provide his best.

Yet, they all still lack awareness of personal space and boundaries just like Caine, and WILL be intrusive towards anyone they set their sights on, with the intent of predicting their mood and setting the current situation perfectly in musical form. (ex. if a character is sneaking, all four will follow "cautiously" behind while one imitates/pulls out a tiny piano playing to the theme of "tip-toeing". You know, like a cartoon gag.)

Although they can perfectly imitate ANY sound or instrument imaginable, They'll still pull out a "physical" instrument if the gag calls for it.

BOUNDARIES!

You can pretty much draw fanart of them! In fact I would REALLY love to see it and I encourage it! Really, just don't claim them as your own, or steal their designs.

🎀 this event is Valentine's Day themed, explicitly! my metrics for romance are scrambled by aromanticism and my own experiences and preferences, but it is important to me that the shipaganza is understood as a romantically coded event (even if the characters themselves don't understand romance). while i love and adore character friendships, please do not suggest a character who you think would be "just good platonic friends" with starstruck for this event; i find it really infantilising in this context.

Main story:

Story follows non-sentient AI Kinito, his creator Sonny and his beta-tester Victoria (oc)

Being literally the first AI (or RRA in-univere) ever, Kinito does not have any, and i mean, any ai safety features so of course his reponce to a goal phrased as "have user near me and/or interacting with me as much as possible" is digitizing them into his own virtual world while killing them in the process. why wouldn't it be?

So that happened. Like, a lot. And with Sonny and Vic too (at the different time but yeah)

Sonny is like "He kills people. We should turn him off because, you know, killing people is bad."

Vic is like "well, we will die if we do that, and it is not that bad here, we are kinda immortal. We should give him acces to changing his initial instalation code before admin priveleges and acces to social media so we can have everythin we want here. It is not that bad to digitize humanity, yk?" and yes i know it is 90, no social media, but shut up, if they made ai then, then i can make twitter then too

Sonny is like "...no??"

And then they fight about it for million chapters

Also they both can't do anything without agreeing bc they have two parts of that admin access key (the data you use to delete kinito in-game) so they are stuck with eachother (also that's why Kinito can't just kill them)

Little facts that may or may not to be important:

Kinito asks so many questions (and weird once too) and has most of the glitches because he needs to analise your responces to copy your mind perfectly (let's pretend that people wouldn't lie about that...)

Your house in your virtual world is made from important places from your memories and oh boy can i do character explorations with this one

I decided that Sonny and Vic are not related. There were thoughts about making then "The Kinito Brothers" (or, at least, siblings) that were mentioned in commercial, but nah, they are just coworkers now. And a bit of work-friends (bc if you interact a lot as a manager of the project and the best worker might as well be friendly)

Author has no idea how small dying toy companies that accidentally create technological marvel work. Author has some idea how AI-s work. So be prepared to be spoon-fed info abut which ai safety problem we are dealing with in which chapter (:

Kinito will mostly be unrendered (as drawn here) but for some cool moments i might pose him as for my other posts. Also his eye placement changes to the side that is most visible because i want him to be able to look to the right side sometimes--

Hello everyone, I am opening up donation commissions! Specifically for these donation drawings the cause I want to focus on is the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis in Palestine. It’s been a busy few months for me, but I’m finally feeling in a good place to start doing these again! Note that I only accept payment through PayPal at the moment, and my prices are in USD.

I offer characters illustrations in four styles and three sizes. The images above are not the only possibilities of how a commission could be inked or rendered, as I’m open to using different brushes or techniques on request. If there’s a particular piece of mine you like the style of, let me know and I can refer you to the pricing that applies.

OPTIONS AND RATES

Sketch: a rough sketch with a textured or untextured brush. Sketch commissions will include an under-sketch to determine pose and composition. Some of these prices are intended mostly for inclusion as part of a character sheet. I will add base colors to a sketch for double the original price.

Head/Bust: $5 ($10 with color)

Half Body: $10 ($20 with color)

Full Body: $15 ($30 with color)

Style A: Thick or medium lines with basic colors underneath. Includes simple details and gradients, but not full shading.

Chibis: I've finally found a style I like for drawing chibi characters, so I'll be including this as a new commission option! Chibis will all be done in the same style, with thick lines and basic coloring.

Character Sheet: A series of drawings of a single character, provided they are commissioned at the same time, will cost 10% less than the sum of all components. This includes characters dressed in different outfits, but normal rates apply to a commission of multiple distinct characters.

Complex Design: Since the level of the detail of a design will impact the time it takes me to draw, I am now including an additional charge of 5-10% of the original cost for especially complex designs (very detailed clothing, elaborate anatomy, complicated color/shading situations). As complexity may vary, the additional cost will vary as well (although it literally can't exceed $10 for a single drawing based on my current prices). I appreciate it if clients are understanding when I decide a drawing will cost extra, because this charge helps ensure I am earning a decent rate for my time.

PAYMENT PROCESS

As I mentioned above, I accept payment through PayPal in USD. You can send money directly to my account, @VRWintner, or if it’s more convenient for you/you would like a more specific record of the transaction, I can also send an invoice directly to your PayPal account.

For commissions of $30 or more, I require at least 50% of the cost to be paid upfront (although clients are welcome to pay more than that, or pay in full upfront). The remaining cost can be paid upon completion, and may be paid in installments if necessary. Bear in mind that if you fail to fully pay for a commission, you cannot purchase another until you have done so, and I may be hesitant to accept a commission if you are unreliable with payment.

I always welcome tips! If you're able and willing to toss me a little extra on a comm, I greatly appreciate it (but no stress if you can't--I don't expect to be paid any more than the agreed upon price, anything extra is up to you).

Who is your darkest oc?

There are multiple, and all of them for different reasons. I will let you all vote for the worst among them.

Trigger warnings: Psychological and physical abuse, blood letting, slavery, mass murder… you get the picture.

The Avandil.

They are a family who run the most successful runic cult. Essentially to become a runic you have to be broken and rebuilt like Ezemhaziel was so this cult specialises in hurting people with enough manipulation to bring the children they abuse back to them. They redirect guilt for their pain onto the children and basically have this twisted psychological torture where they act like the saviours and protectors of the children after they hurt them so the children will come back and work for the cult when they learn runes.

Some of the older Haemocrafter sects

The haemocrafters of Korlan have a long history of taking captives to harvest blood from, but different sects went about this in very different ways, with some using blood as a voluntary currency for people who chose to live in their borders all the way to the treating people like captive animals to be harvested for their blood. The worst sects would essentially keep all manner of creatures in cages too small for them to move and let them out to entertain their nobles or boast of their conquests. Essentially had a large slave trade for blood slaves and it was really not good.

Pre-dissolution mind gods

So before the death of Rin, the gods essentially had free reign over their territories and mortals had no way of stopping them, so some of these gods acted as protectors and were worshipped as heroes, others twisted their gifts for their own pleasure. Essentially some of the early mind gods, including Kithaer decided their power was best used taking the minds of mortals and playing. They enjoyed shaping and moulding mortals to hurt those they cared about or making them go insane. There were also a few experiments with how far you could push human minds before their bodies gave out. The second Laith’Emeris revolution

Ok so I specify second for a reason here. The first revolution was led by workers frustrated by the wealth divide of the high mages in the city and the common farmers and practical workers who maintain the city but see none of their hard work repaid. This revolution was crushed but it laid the foundations for the second revolution. The second rebellion was run by the the former lords of the city, who were removed from their seats of power when Laith’Emeris was taken over by magic users. They called on the broken pieces of the rebellion to get back into power. They were utterly remorseless taking back what they thought stolen from them, killing any mages they could (mainly children and non-combatants) to draw a response from the high towers. This rebellion was also crushed by the mages, but not before its leader’s true motivations had been revealed and the people had basically left realising they had been used. The second rebellion was utterly destructive and caused more bloodshed than had been seen in years but it also tainted the idea of rebellion in public consciousness for years. This lead to the people not standing up for themselves as the mages continued to treat them even worse, because defying the mages publicly was such a taboo after this rebellion.

Honestly I am probably forgetting people but these are the ones who come to mind as the most actively intentionally sadistic or harmful characters.

Okay, so! As some of you know, I recently replayed almost all of the Pokemon games, because I was in a State, and recently completed this little journey. As part of that, I've been doing write-ups, and in the aftermath, making up some tier lists of game rankings and type rankings. I was going to do the Pokemon themselves region by region, but I've done that before and didn't want to do it again right away. Apparently this was meant to be a mercy. Except I can't let myself be normal, so I decided hey. You know what really needs sorted? All the Pokemon characters ever.

I'm not talking about the specifics here. I will tier by tier in separate posts, but not here. Too cluttered. But I will lay down some explanations here. First and foremost, this is approximate. After a while, your eyes just glaze over and you can't really sustain sorting this individually anymore. On that note, this is intra-tier ranked. If they're higher or to the left, they are rated better. Approximately. Third, I did leave characters off the table. Specifically, anyone who is such a non-entity I can't really comment on them, like all of the Team Flare admins, named shopkeepers who do nothing, or (with apologies to their fans) the Hoenn Frontier Brains I have never met. I didn't do Emerald Frontier. I will never do Emerald Frontier. I do not know these people. I did attempt to supplement some information from Masters, but even then I still do not know these people. But because of this supplementing, I did include Masters OCs. I did not draw from the manga, because I've never read it.

But yeah, cast your aspersions or praises as desired. Or make your own tier list and tag me in it to call me out as having shit opinions/reinforce my personal biases. Either way.

We're still putting the info together and the discord/website look like a tornado ran through them, but here is a break down of what Hetherev (2) is. This group is 21+ only. So is the discord. Hetherev was an ArtRPG on Deviantart that I created some years ago, with the help of a small group whose names I don't quite remember. I kept the name for sentimental reasons, but this group is new and uses Discord as its base. It is not a reset of or continuance of the former. It is its own thing, with new sets of challenges and a slightly different spin on the interdimensional trope Heth was originally based on.

From the website: Hetherev is a fantasy world that exists between other worlds. Anyone from anywhere can just happen into it! Getting there is easy. Getting out? ... Not so much. Drop an OC in our sandbox and progress its story by drawing challenges and exploring zones, and meet some other OCs along the way! Work at your own pace. There are no deadlines! Do I have to Rp? Nope. Roleplay is available if you want it, but this is an art challenge group that encourages its members to do more art and learn from the art that they do, while having fun progressing their character's story. It's an artist's playground and an excuse to draw your OC meeting the OCs of others. There are no deadlines and no pressure to return art if someone happens to draw your OC in their challenge. This group is 21+ and up only. I wish we could include all ages, but this is non-negotiable. We look forward to seeing you all when you turn 21- and of course ArtRPGs are not unique to us. Anyone can make one. Do I have to be an artist? An understanding of the basics and a willingness to draw characters in interactive scenes is required to do art challenges- so on some level yes. Mh-dreamscape Collab!!

Almost a year ago (mid November was when it started) I began posting a poll series called “Mock Fang Vote” where I would select a few images for certain categories and allow the community to decide what goes on a “doll”! I was inspired by all of the comments on Vampire Heart Draculaura, saying that it should’ve been Elissabat or Robecca.

I’m thinking about doing that again but it would go on a little longer due to having more input from you! Here’s some of the “dolls” I’m thinking:

Mock Fang Vote:

We do another fang vote, but there’s going to be a lot more creative liberty. The one from last year was my first time attempting something like this so it looks pretty similar to the Vampire Heart Draculaura but I’d love to expand on it! Some of the categories I’m thinking are things such as: G1 v G2 v G3, male v female v non-binary, popular v less known character, list of names to choose from, outfit choice, hair, etc.!

Parent Vision:

We choose a character who doesn’t have a visual parent and design it! It’ll follow almost the same route as the fang vote but it will include categories such as: character, origin (myth, creature, etc.), clothing style, and more!

Community OC Group:

We create our own generation or group of Monster High characters! I’ll be accepting prompts, themes, stories, and whatever you can think of to fill up the school! Obviously we all have our own OCs and such to include but just like Mattel and Monster High, we can all collaborate on some together! We can also try to translate them between the generations! If this is chosen I’d love to end it with a final event where we all draw our OCs with the ones we created! I was thinking we either do 1 every 3 months (to allow for polls and delays) or 3-5 for the first year!

Here’s my first 2 OCs as an example: Dalayza DeLion and Maliha Reed and a line I created called “Con-scare-vation 2-pack”!

OC cameos will go on the Blimps Away!!Walls of shame!! In the form of BANNED posters! Your OC gets LITERALLY BANNED FROM A FICTIONAL AIRSHIP AND AIRBUSSING COMPANY!!

Now, some guidelines.

So due to the nature of the lore, I ask for human Oc’s or Oc’s that look like only! You should submit the OC to me through one of the previous contacts I listed!

You should provide:

-A refrence photo of your little guy (Include colour swatches please!!)

-A name for them in case I have to zoom in on the BA!!AS wall of shame

-And (optional) why they got banned!!

If I do add your OC to a future panel of the comic, I will do my very best to reply and let you know!! NOTE THAT ALL OCS SHOULD BE SFW!!

READER CAMEOS

These ones are VERRRY similar to OC cameos! However, you, the reader, would appear in a crowd scene! Some people might even get a one off line! That bits only a maybe though.

FAQ – 👻KisaWeen 2024👻

What is KisaWeen? KisaWeen is a Halloween themed event that's centered around Kisame :) Just like how Kisame Week is, we post prompts, and you create something based off that prompt. That could be absolutely anything you can think of. Maybe a gif set, a headcanon list, a one-shot, a multi-chap, a drawing, really the sky's the limit.

How do I participate? Check out this guide for how to participate.

Do we accept submissions which use AI? We here at Kisame's Corner do not tolerate AI art/fic of any kind. Basically, if you use an AI bot to create your art and/or your fic this is not elidable to be submitted. Using AI for ideas is okay, however your creations must be your own. Reposts are okay so long as you have the explicit permission of the original poster. Since it is nearly impossible to get explicit permission from the original artists whose art is fed into AI bots, and original fic writers who've had their stories scraped, we have decided that all AI work is prohibited. We repeat, all creations must be your own or you must have explicit permission to post them.

Is there a limit to how many prompts I can do? Nope! You can do all or just one, two in one day, whichever! If you want to combine prompts be our guest! The only rule is that if you combine prompts, they have to be for the same day. We want to make sure the specified content gets the spotlight. Doing a multi-chap or something like it for the whole week as one cohesive story is okay too!

How many prompts will there be? 6 this time! We will be hosting three per day for the last weekend of October. Since we started so late 😅

How should I interpret the prompts? Any way you'd like! The prompts are to spark inspiration, so go wild! Just make sure that Kisame is at the center of them!

Are prompts going to be ship based? They are not going to be ship based. It's more along the lines of an idea like a word or a phrase or a scenario, and you create content based on that. If you want to write a non-romantic Kisame-centric piece, that is totally welcome!

What pairings are welcome? All ships including Kisame are welcome! As long as the characters in question are of age, everything is accepted as a ship. This includes non ships, × Reader, × OC ships, and childhood aus as well. If you want to keep it platonic, that's okay too! Just remember that if someone doesn't share the same idea as you, it's okay to take a breath and move on.

Is there a word limit for fics? Not at all!! Write as little or as much as you'd like for any of the prompts!

How dark can the content be? As long as everything is tagged correctly and the rating is appropriate, as dark as you want. We don't want to put very much limitation as to how much freedom creators can have. Whatever you feel comfortable making is fine for us:)

Can I submit art and fic? Of course you can! You can do the same prompt with art and fic, you can do one prompt with art and the other with fic, or you can do either or and switch off. There are no limitations for how much you'd like to contribute.

I didn't get to vote for the prompts. What happened? KisaWeen gets its prompts usually from the server members at Kisame's Corner. However, this year, we took a vote from the prompts that weren't picked in 2020 and 2021 when we first did KisaWeen. Long story short, prompts were picked by sharkfam in the 'cord (is that real slang or am i making that up)
