Screw it, have some more potential Vassago and Blitz similarities and such that I've noticed.

To start, Vassago appears to be at minimum partly based on a red macaw, (although there are a few differences between him and the actual animal, but then again none of the Goetia in the show are 100% accurate to the animal they're based on.) and in writing/media, pirates and parrots appear to be a common pairing, with the macaw/red macaw being a common choice for this pairing.

And guess who really liked pirates as a child?

Another thing I want to mention is the designs of both Blitz's and Vassago's names on the Sinsmas mugs. We can see that Vassago has like a treasure map theme going on, with the X being at where the last letter of his name is, aka, where the treasure is, and in Blitz's name, we also see a X over the last letter of his name, which is also an O. As we know, the X on the map typically marks where the treasure is located, and by now you should see the connection I'm making here.

Speaking of treasure maps as well, guess what we also see child Blitz say.

And well, there's definitely also some similarities between Vassago's colour scheme and Blitz's colour scheme, mainly the red and white, although this doesn't really mean much tbh.

My main takeaway from all of this is that I kinda want Vassago and Blitz to become friends at some point during the show

it's unlikely to happen (honestly I'd bet Viv is more likely to have Vassago flirt with/be nice to Stolas just to prove he's 'one of the good ones') but I could get into shipping Vassago/Blitzo as a rare pair

obvs I'm tired of the Goetia at this point but if Vassago is genuinely a nice person, not just one Viv insists is nice when they're actually the worst like Stolas, then it could be like the ship Stol1tz was supposed to be

I really doubt this would happen but it would be great in the trial it looks like Stolas is about to undergo before losing his riches/house/powers etc. that someone takes up for Blitzo

like they really take Stolas to task for how he took advantage of Blitzo and the way he leveraged the power and economic difference between them. how he harassed and demeaned him. how they personally think that behavior is unbecoming of a Goetia

and maybe the show frames this as Stolas' epiphany moment (though it'd still be annoying if what he was doing wrong only sank in when a fellow rich person chewed him out for it, but at point beggars can't be choosers when it comes to Stolas realizing he's done anything wrong) but honestly I'd be more interested in seeing Blitzo get comfort and understanding from anyone that isn't Stolas

just like - the tiniest bit of kindness and catharsis for a main character after being literally coerced into sex. is that so much to ask?

anyway, I'm Team Blitzago up until the episode comes out and inevitably makes Vassago stick up for Stolas instead

The best and kindest period in any Viv character's life is the period between learning of their existence and actually seeing what they do in canon, and Vassago is a much-needed force for consent and respect in Blitzo's life until proven otherwise.

(And even then. Headcanons cost nothing, after all.)
