how did you originally find and get on tumblr? (friendly tone) (sent by ask cultujre post)
So technically my original tumblr was from, I think, late 2012. My high school friend was like "you totally need to get on tumblr" and I was like "okay."
However that's not this blog. THIS blog is because, around March 2013 I got deep into a rewatch of Danny Phantom (which is something I would do every few years and fill my head with Danny Phantom brainrot for months). And I was like "hmm I know this series is 10 years old, but I wonder if anyone on tumblr is talking about it?"
And what do you know they were!
So I lurked for a while. But then one day I had a thought I wanted to contribute. Which I did not want to do with my blog my high school classmates followed because like "hey Chrissy, what are you, a high schooler, doing talking about horror-angst fanfic concepts for a 2004 Y-7 rated Nickelodeon cult classic cartoon that only ran for 3 years?" (The answer is: exactly the same as I'm doing as a 27-year-old still talking about horror-angst fanfic concepts for a 2004 Y-7 rated Nickelodeon cult classic cartoon which somehow does still have an active fandom almost 20 years later.)
I had, previously, in 2011 written some Danny Phantom fanfiction under this username on fanfiction.net. So I went ahead and made a brand new tumblr account with the same name in order to Danny-Phantom-post. And I've just been here ever since!

summary: Sometimes lying is okay when it's planning a birthday surprise for the birthday-hating man you love.
content tags: fluff, fluff, fluff.
word count: 2.5k.
note: Is this two whole days late? Yes. But it's finally here and I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for being so patient, and again, Happy Birthday Noah our beloved 🖤
You’d both gone to bed hours ago, and when you were certain Noah was asleep, you carefully untangled yourself from his arms and slipped out of bed.
“Where are you going?” His drowsy voice reaches your ears through the darkness.
You squeeze your eyes closed and scrunch up your face with your back to him; you were so sure he was asleep. “I can feel a headache coming on. I’m just going to get the meds I left in your car,” you lie, turning around to face him. “I’ll be quick,” you lean down to press a chaste kiss to his lips.
“M’kay,” he mumbles, rubbing your back as his eyes drift closed again.
You head out of your shared room to the front door, grabbing his keys on the way. Thankfully, he seemed to believe your little white lie. Going straight for the trunk of the car when you step outside, you hope the flowers you'd stashed in there all day hadn't wilted to death. Inspecting them under the light of the car, they did look a little sad, but you were sure some water and sunlight could save them.
Cradling the flowers, card, and little gift box in your arms carefully, you enter back into the house, cautious not to let the paper wrapping on the flowers crinkle too loud. You go to the kitchen and take out the vase you'd washed and stashed away earlier, filling it with a little water for the flowers to revive in. Setting it all up nicely on the counter—the card resting against the vase and the little box, wrapped in silver paper sitting in front.
Noah told you not to get him anything, but you weren't about to let that slide. He might not be big on birthdays, but you wanted nothing more than an excuse to shower him with love, and knowing he'd likely be up tomorrow before you, he'd find your little surprise first thing when he goes into the kitchen. You take a glass from the cupboard, fill it halfway with water, and take it with you as evidence of your little deception.
"All good?" He asks when you tiptoe back into your room.
"Yeah, all good." You set the glass down on the side and crawl back under the sheets with him, where he instinctively pulls you close into his side, the warmth of his body banishing the chill from yours.
The dip in the mattress wakes you a few hours later, followed by Noah’s lips ghosting softly over yours. With a sleepy groan, your hands instinctively move to his shoulders, where he’s hovering over you.
“I love you so fucking much,” he whispers.
For a moment you’re confused about the sudden show of affection until you crack your eyes open against the glow of the morning to see him holding his card and gift, the latter still unopened. “You haven’t even opened it yet,” you smile when he rests his forehead against yours.
“The card would’ve been enough,” he kisses you again. When he pulls back, you see his eyes are rimmed red, like he’d been crying. “What you wrote was so beautiful. I just- I’ve never felt so loved before. I’ve never loved anyone like you before.”
Now he’s going to make you cry. You encircle his shoulders with your arms, pulling him down on top of you and holding him close, so tight as though you could transfer all of the love you feel for him from your body to his. He rests his head in the crook of your neck, his arm securely around your waist, and you lie there together while the sun rises higher in the sky and the birds fill the air with song.
“C’mon,” you pat his back after a few minutes, “you need to open your present!”
He squeezes you just a little tighter before he plants a kiss against your shoulder and lets go. He sits up, and you follow, crossing your legs and snuggling into the duvet to hide from the cold October air.
Noah looks down at the little box in his hands, then looks at you, his expression saying, “Are you serious? I told you not to get me anything.” You nod encouragingly, and he finally tears off the tape from the metallic silver paper to reveal the little black box inside. He looks up at you again, quizzically.
“If you want to know what it is, just open it! Don’t look at me!” You kick him playfully from beneath the sheets. He laughs and shakes his head, pulling the lid from the base and finally revealing the gift you agonised over for months inside. You sneak a hand out of the sheets to bite at your nail, suddenly questioning your choice. What if he didn’t like it? He was right; you shouldn’t have gotten him anything. You should’ve just stuck with the card. Now he’s going to have to pretend he likes it to not hurt your feelings.
But when he takes it out of the box and sighs your name, your anxieties vanish as quickly as they arrived. “It’s the date we met,” he says quietly.
“Yeah,” you reply just as quietly, slipping out of the sheets to sit by his side, your legs folded beneath you. “I stole your other bracelet to get the right size, so I hope it fits.”
“Oh, so it didn’t fall down the back of the dresser?” He teases, raising an eyebrow at you.
“It might have fallen into my bag and all the way to the jewellers.”
“Will you put it on for me?” He asks, looking at you with those big brown eyes that make you melt every time.
You nod and take the silver chain from his hand. He holds out his right arm for you to loop the bracelet around, positioning the bar—engraved with the day you first met—on the top. Once it’s secure, he takes your arms and pulls you into him, onto his lap, where he wraps his arms around your waist to snuggle close into your shoulder and mumbles, “I love you.”
“Do you like it?” You ask, tenderly running your fingers through his hair.
“Are you kidding?” He pulls back to meet your eyes. “I love it. I love you. I never cared for my birthday until I met you,” he brushes your sleep-tousled hair away from your face, tucking it behind your ear. “Now each birthday reminds me of how grateful I am that we get to spend another year together.”
You feel a blush creeping up on your cheeks, warming your face. “I love you too,” you smile and lean in to meet his lips. A soft and gentle kiss, full of love and adoration for the man that chose you that day and still continues to choose you.
“Do you want your cake?” You ask with a teasing smile when you pull back, raising your eyebrows.
Noah blinks in surprise. “My what?”
“Come on!” Your grin spreads wide across your face as you slide off his knee and drag him up with you by his hands, holding them all the way to the kitchen.
You let go when you reach the fridge, throwing open the door and scooping out the contents and tossing them on the counter: tomato ketchup, chicken, veggies, miscellaneous sauces, leftovers.
“What are you doing?” Noah chuckles.
“I hid it in the back yesterday. I can’t believe you didn’t see it... AHA!” You declare when you finally reach the white box. You turn to place it on the counter only to find there’s little to no room left.
“No wonder I didn’t find it. You totally buried it back there!”
“It was a surprise!” You banter back.
Noah just laughs and shakes his head, taking several items in hand and placing them back in the fridge to clear a space for you. Leaving the cake box on the counter, you take the candles from their hiding spot inside a mug in the cupboard and dig the matches out of the drawer. When Noah was putting the last items back in the fridge you ordered, “Stay there! Don’t turn around!” He throws his hands up in surrender and stays facing the fridge.
You quickly lift the lid to reveal the funfetti cake decorated with white icing and fresh fruit on top. You consider placing exactly twenty-nine candles, one for every year of his age, but decide against it and add five instead. Lighting them quickly before they get the chance to drip wax onto the frosting. “Don’t move!” You yell, crossing the room to hit the light switch.
“I’m not!”
“Okay,” you sigh, taking the cake in your hands. “Okay, you can turn around now.”
The candles, though small, illuminate the room in a warm, comforting glow, the light of the morning blocked by the still-drawn shades. While the fire warmed you on the outside, the intimate nature of the scene warmed you on the inside. You sing as soon as Noah turns around, and a smile erupts across his face, reaching his eyes, making them crease at the corners, and making his cheeks look full.
“Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Noah, Happy Birthday to you!” He moves closer to close the gap between the two of you. “Come on, make a wish!” You hold up the cake higher as the candles melt.
Noah places his hands over yours where they hold the cake and, with one quick breath, blows out all the candles in one go. “I don’t need to make a wish. All my wishes already came true when I found you.” His eyes meet yours in the dim light, and you put the cake back down to fall into his chest, your arms secure around his waist. “Thank you for this,” he whispers, resting his cheek against your head.
“You’re welcome,” your voice muffled against his hoodie. “You deserve to be celebrated. It’s your day.”
Noah sighs and squeezes his arms around you tighter, swaying you both gently side to side. In his arms has to be your favourite place to be. The place that never fails to banish your worries and anxieties, you hope to remain here for as long as time will allow.
“Do you want a slice?” You mumble against his chest.
“Of cake? For breakfast?”
“Yes!” You exclaim like it was obvious, looking up at his face.
“We can’t have cake for breakfast,” he scolds, holding you close by the hips.
“It’s your birthday! We can do whatever we want,” you turn, dip your finger in the frosting and smear it on his nose, then wrap your arms around the back of his neck.
He gasps and laughs, full and carefree. He always works so hard and weighs himself down with self-created expectations. To see him now, relaxed and accepting of the love he deserves, especially on his birthday of all days, a day he’s so adamant about not celebrating, warms your heart and brings a smile to your own face. He deserves to be celebrated, and you wish you could get that into his head.
“You know what? You’re right,” Noah dips his finger in the frosting and smears it on the tip of your own nose. “I’ll get some plates,” he leans down to meet your lips in a sweet, chaste kiss.
You laugh in disbelief, then shake your head and get a knife from the drawer, wiping off the frosting and licking it off your finger. “Mm, it’s good!” You look over your shoulder where Noah has two forks and two plates from the cupboard, frosting gone from his own nose and a pleased expression on his face. He nods in agreement and sets down the plates. “How big of a slice do you want?” You ask.
“Hm, maybe just a little piece. Then we can have real breakfast after,” he snakes his arms around your waist as you make the first cut, clinging to your back.
“This is real breakfast,” you retort, lifting the cake carefully with the knife and placing it on a plate, then cutting a piece for yourself. “It has fruit on it.”
“You’re right, that makes it a health food,” he jokes, taking a bite-sized piece on his fork.
“Exactly,” you nod, doing the same.
The cake was amazing, thankfully. You were worried about the flavour, having never bought a birthday cake for Noah before. He wasn’t the type to frequently eat cake, which left you stumped in the store when the staff asked what flavour you wanted. Her suggestion seemed to be a success though, judging by Noah’s pleased hums behind you and the way he was forking down another bite.
“I love the flowers, by the way. They’re beautiful,” he mumbles, mouth full of cake and a smile on his lips.
You glance over to the vase at the end of the counter; the bright colours of the petals thankfully revived after suffocating in the trunk of his car all day. “Good, I’m glad. You deserve beautiful things.”
“Not as beautiful as you, though,” he leans to the side and wipes frosting from the corner of your mouth with his thumb before leaning in to place a quick peck on your cheek. You roll your eyes at the compliment, fighting to suppress the flustered smile it brought to your face.
Cake devoured, you lounge on the couch together, putting on the local weather to see what activities the day would allow. Noah brought the flowers with him, placing them in the centre of the coffee table right in his line of sight, with the card you wrote standing in front of them.
Noah,
Happy Birthday, my love!
You’ve worked so hard this year, and it has been nothing short of a pleasure to watch you grow and achieve everything you aimed for, and more. I know it hasn’t all been easy, but your perseverance and drive to be the best version of you that you can be inspire me every single day. Even on days where we’ve struggled, you never let it get in the way of what’s most important.
I love you so much, I don’t even think I can put it into words. It’s an honour to listen to your beautiful voice and watch you create every day, and I feel so lucky to be a part of your life and have you be a part of mine.
Thank you for being here for me through everything I’ve been through this past year, even when I felt like I didn’t deserve it. You keep me sane when I’m overwhelmed and feel like I’m losing my mind from stress, and I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am for your love, support, and presence by my side. You mean the world to me.
I look forward to seeing what the next year together brings us, what you achieve next, and what our lives will be like in a year's time.
Thank you for always being my light in the dark and for continuing to love me.
I love you, and I hope you have a good birthday. ♡

|| series masterlist || jake's story ending // previously ||
parings -> sim jaeyun x reader genre -> non-idol au, school au, hyrbid au warnings -> neglected, running away, arranged marriage, replacement word count -> 1.7k
abstract -> you don't have to worry about anything, unlike those unluckier than you.
jake’s perspective
“Yes! Please, anything but be stuck at a farm!” I begged that I jump up to the kennel door to try to get closer to her. She laughed and smiled softly… she was saving me from a stupid farm even though I gave her trouble and she said…
“Wait… but you said you couldn’t own a hybrid?” I asked and she smiled. “Well… I negotiated for myself like I was planning before I met you, and I negotiated for a companion. I don’t understand why you’ve never been adopted” she said sincerely and I felt like crying.
“Thank you… I'll be the best hybrid! I took classes and everything!” I said and she giggled while taking a piece of paper out of her bag. “Jake, a golden retriever hybrid with a lot of energy. A well-mannered hybrid that needs etiquette training but otherwise a lovely hybrid” she read while now showing me… it was the class file?
“I’ve been busy while they’ve been preparing you with checkups and vaccines… you wanna see what I’ve prepared?” She smiled and I nodded. “As long as I'm by your side,” I said and she giggled. “Well, Jake, you might get sick of me then. You’re stuck with me” she said but I shook my head.
“You’d get sick of me before I'd ever get sick of you” I confessed and felt sad at the thought… She hummed and pretended to think…
“Well, good thing we’ll never get sick of each other!”
“You’re the infamous Jake!” I heard and quickly hid behind y/n. Was this to punish me? “He’s not mad at you nor is he scary” she reassured but I didn’t want to believe her.
“It’s true in fact anything you did was nothing compared to the hell I would’ve faced married to her '' he said… marry? “We were gonna be arranged to marry by our parents, remember I mentioned negotiations?” she asked and I understood now… she ran away from him… technically her parents while he ran off to… japan?
“Oh, this reminds me! Riki and her owner mentioned if I saw you you owe him a new coat” he said and I sighed… I guess I did. “Don’t worry about that, I'll ship one to replace it” she reassured me and I nodded. She was… real, not a dream like I'd sometimes have.
“You already have an obsessed hybrid” he teased her and she scoffed. “You done? You’ve said your peace?” she asked and he nodded while putting his hand out to me… I shook it and he smiled. “See ya around Jake! It’s nice meeting you and don’t worry about it. The past is the past and I'm a free man again!” he joked before saying his goodbye.
“He’s a strange guy… you’ll meet a lot of strange friends of mine,” she said and I chuckled. “As long as I'm with you,” I said and she smiled. She looked at me with a sudden pout… she was so cute. “You need a haircut and maybe a fur trim? Want to do it now?” she asked and I chuckled.
“And be pampered by you, please?”
y/n’s perspective
The workers said because im his first and probably only owner in his life that he’ll be extremely attached. Not that I minded but… it worried me for what it would be like with sudden separation anxiety and getting used to etiquette.
There's no way I'd get rid of him now… we're stuck with each other but I don't need anyone telling him he needs to work for his place with me like they’ve done to Riki. My sweet puppy… he looked so happy and relaxed getting a haircut and trim.
I still needed to give him a collar. Luckily I was assured he’d most likely react well to it… and not badly since he doesn’t have any bad experiences since im his first owner. His first time enjoying life outside the hybrid facilities.
“He’ll be out shortly, miss' ' I heard and I nod as I stood up now waiting for him. When he did appear his hair was now shorter, not much of a difference but it should revive his hair to be more healthy and his puppy ears and tail were now neat.
He was a pretty hybrid… he was a pretty boy to me before too.
“I think I look pretty good,” he said and I chuckled. “You look very handsome,” I said and his cheeks flushed a bit before he recounted. “I-I wasn’t before” he teased and I smiled at his nervous stutter. “You were pretty but you look better and happier,” I said and he smiled.
“I’m lucky to have met you,” he said and I nodded. “It’s the same for me, Jake,” I said as we left the place and started walking back to my apartment “You’re now my priority okay?” I said and he smiled. “Thank you…” he said, looking hesitant and I sighed. “You know… I was wondering if you wanted to continue those classes?” I asked and he hummed.
“Well… I wanna see Niki again! So… I wouldn’t mind besides, you have classes there too right? I can keep myself from feeling bored when away from you” he said and I smiled.
He seemed to already understand that.
“Then do your best, okay Jake?”
jake’s perspective
It was… a dream come true. We ate a filling meal she ordered from her apartment when she showed me my room and the closet of clothes and my own comfy bed.
“I have one more thing to show you,” she said and I nodded before she gave me a box. It was the only thing she left for me to open? It had a bunch of packaging when I saw it… my own collar.
“It also comes with tail rings for your tail–” like Niki “–in case the collar bothers you, but I hope you like it and you don't need to wear it often just when we go places that require it like your class,” she said and I couldn’t help the grin on my face.
I would be going to class with a collar I'd be like those other hybrids…
I couldn’t help that I suddenly hugged her and I thought for a second I should have since I had to behave but when she laughed and hugged me back I immediately melted into her comfort.
“I hope you’re happy here with me,” she said and I smiled. “I’m really glad I met you, maybe it was fate that finally put us together,” I said and she smiled.
“I think so too”
I was enrolled in classes again so I'd have to start going to them again. The only bad thing is Niki is still in Japan so I was alone… “She’s your owner now huh?” heard as I saw the mean bird hybrid.
“I hope you enjoy it, she’s a bitch who doesn’t know how to do anything herself. She's constantly complaining and is gonna make you do so many stupid things just to humiliate you!” he yelled at me. Others were staring…
“She wouldn’t do that” I muttered and he scoffed, grabbing my shirt. “You’ve suddenly changed from rags to riches and think it doesn’t come for a price!” he said and I was confused… What did he know about her? From what I know he knows nothing about her.
“You know nothing about her… I knew you were hurt but, y/n would never do that” I said and his eyes widened… “y/n? Why are you suddenly mentioning her?” he asked, confused even loosening his grip letting me get away. “She adopted me… not like it's any of your business' ' I said and he sighed.
“Is the free trial bird causing you trouble? I would too if I suddenly lost everything and suddenly became a freeloading hybrid!” a snow leopard hybrid laughed and the bird scoffed.
“You shouldn’t be laughing... From what I heard your owner doesn’t even know–" "Shut up before I make sure this pretty little bird can't sing again” he threatened…
“Sore subject? I wouldn’t want to remember you either, Sunghoon”
Now that I had a collar many hybrids tried talking to me… it was strange.
Instead, I decided to sit next to a fox hybrid at the back of the class wanting to avoid Jay… but the fox hybrid didn’t look any better. Most of the hybrids in this room were spoiled and mean or… spoiled and depressed. It was a strange concept… the stray hybrids were also losing hope like I did.
It was cruel…
I went outside waiting for her… would she pick me up? It was when I noticed the fox hybrid, snow leopard, and bird were also waiting like me. “I’m sorry I'm late!” I heard and saw a girl with a patient wristband. “I forgot where this place was and–” “Whatever,” the snow leopard said with a sad expression on his face.
They walked off and I wondered what was his issue? “His owner is an amnesiac… everyone thinks he tried to kill her and she just forgot,” Jay said but why would he look at her with such a sad expression otherwise… “He’d never do that, they’ve been with each other since kids' ' the fox hybrid defended.
“What do you know Sunoo?” Jay asked and the fox hybrid stayed silent. “Jake!” I heard and saw y/n. “You’re late” I pout and she sighed. “It took me a while to actually get here from across campus,” she said and I nodded. “Hmm? Looks like you had company though?” she asked and I sighed.
“Not really,” I said as we walked off. When we were away from the lecture hall I decided to ask.
“Why was Sunghoon and Jay so mean?” I asked and she sighed. “Jay is a hybrid that many people get for free trial meaning they see what they like in a hybrid and what they don’t… but since he’s had so many owners and isn’t a ‘cute’ hybrid they give him away” she explained and I couldn’t imagine being in his situation.
“While Sunghoon is just… always been a troublemaker and recently with his owner being in such an accident to forget her memories he might just be a little heartbroken. There were rumors they loved each other…” she explained and it did seem like a heartbreaking experience.
“Give them a little patience okay?” she asked and I smiled. “I will,” I said and she nodded.
“Besides… you don’t have to worry about anything when you're with me”

gaming au
headcannons because im lazy but i love this idea
- neil is the same sort of vibe as RTGame, who plays whatever the fuck he wants, screws everything up majorly every time, and loves to roast everyone and everything
- andrew is callmecarson and his career is literally just fucking with people
- they’re both mostly streaming on twitch: Neil has no face-cam, whilst andrew does and its just him being completely deadpan and apathetic
- “person101 has subbed for 3 months!” andrew: looks deadpan into the camera, says “you’re wasting your money”
- kevin and riko used to be fOrtNitE bOiiiis WHERE WE DROPPIN but then kevin didn’t want to play fortnite anymore and riko kicked him out, so he moved in with andrew cuz andrew hates fortnite
*this was getting too long yikes*
- nicky’s a sims player bless his soul, he loves sims 3 and wont let it go even though it breaks his computer
- dan and matt absolutely obliterate 1st-person shooter games together
- renee loves story games: life’s strange, detroit: become human, etc
- allison’s a survival games bitch, loves don’t starve together, hardcore minecraft, but also plays shitty barbie fashion games and nitpicks at the programming
- i imagine seth as like an angry 12 year old on twitch, that everyone just laughs at for getting aggressive too easy
- aaron plays whatever, mostly riding the mediocre cash inflow for med school and gets popular because of his criticism of surgeon games, but he loves VR (andrew does too) and sometimes he streams instead of andrew until someone notices
- gamers always coordinate into little groups: this bunch have a discord chat together and often collaborate, except andrew, cuz he’s a *lone wolf* (get over urself andrew)
so how do andrew and neil meet, u wonder? how does neil get initiated into this discord group? where does the nickname foxes come from? where’s wymack in all this?
- so basically i imagine wymack as a game developer and he’s found this group of gamers who are actually funny and are slowly getting popular, so he reaches out and asks them if they want to try this game out, he’s just getting started with it, what are their opinions?
- it obviously can’t be everything each of them every dreamed of, but Mission F0X is actually a lit fuckin game with aspects that everyone can enjoy:
- nicky loves making new characters
- dan and matt fucking ace the shoot outs
- renee loves the choose-your-destiny aspect, and how you can see the percentage of people who went different routes
- allison just loves the adorable fox companion
- seth is pumped for when it’s getting released so he can blow other people up
- aaron doesn’t care but him and kevin end up finishing all the minigames in two weeks so wymack has to make more because kevin’s getting pissy
- andrew zones out as soon as anyone mentions fox because he couldn’t care less
- until
- this “””””neil josten””””””” streamer plays Mission F0X upon its beta release, and tears into the game. like, brutally. he actually praises it too, but everyone’s distracted by his character, who he’s designed to have eyebrows on his chin and backwards ears and eyes on his forehead because wymack allowed that for some reason, and then he’s able to yeet the fox companion over a cliff but it bounces back, and all this ridiculous, crazy shit
- the foxes (as theyve dubbed themselves) think he’s high-key hilarious. they’re planning to reach out to him, but andrew doesn’t trust a streamer who doesn’t have a face cam, it’s fuckin 2019 bro, wtf
- so he goes onto Neil’s minecraft server, because he has this series, where he goes onto famous streamer’s servers and griefs shit until he gets kicked, because he’s andrew
except this time, it’s not one of neil’s mods (robin or brian or jack or sheena), it’s neil himself. he’s streaming. they’re both live, looking at each other as a building behind andrew blows up
- “thats not very nice”
- “whaddaya gonne do, kick me?” (andrew is like an angsty emo 12 yr old i love him)
- neil instead says “nah ill let you be a mod”
- everyone’s like ????? he’s griefing your shit, and you’re gonna make him a moderator?
- andrew is also thoroughly confused
- neil’s popularity, meanwhile, is skyrocketing. everyone wants him to get together with the foxes and play Mission F0X. Wymack has gruffly acknowledged all of the glitches and quirks neil’s criticised and is working to change them. andrew’s a mod on his minecraft server, and sometimes they work together (out of stream) in complete silence (not even on a call, just sometimes private messaging on discord about details or coordinates) as they clean up some shit on neil’s crazy server. they also work super hard on a map room (like RTGame’s server’s crazy fuckin map room holy SHIT goals)
- then all of a sudden andrew announces that he and neil are doing a fuckin mission F0X letsplay together, when he’s openly hated on the foxes’ obsession with Mission F0X, and neil has refused to work with the foxes because he’s scared of his new-found popularity.
- everyone, once more, is like ????????
- unbeknownst to literally everyone on the planet, they’ve met up. neil explained why he’s avoiding kevin, even if his father’s dead, and he’s technically safe. the moriyamas own his ass and he can’t out himself like that. andrew thinks he’s being ridiculous because he’s never signed a contract and there’s nothing legally binding him to play for riko and moriyama gaming.
- i just have this scene in my head where andrew has killed neil’s fox companion, carved “u r hot” onto it and chucking it at Neil’s head (who, mind you, is neil’s interpretation of his appearance, but god-knows he’s watered down his hotness because he’s so oblivious and andrew hates him)
- neil just laughs and tells andrew to pick him up at 7. andrew uses half of his health to revive his stupid fox companion, just like neil knew he would.
- andrew’s the only one streaming this episode: they take it in turns. he’s blushing like mad.
- nicky’s yelling THATS GAY and aaron is shaking his head and kevin is still Fuming that neil has refused to work with him but will work (and hook up) with andrew
- eventually wymack sponsors him to play the prerelease of the Full Game and neil meets up with the rest of the foxes absOLUTELY DEBAUCHED BECAUSE HE HITCHED A RIDE WITH ANDREW AND THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THAT
- and everyones like. yep. okay. this kid managed to wrangle the monster of online gaming, makes him blush on stream and now walks in with their hands entwined like they’ve been dating for years. Respect.
aaaaaaaaand yea thats all for now gnight

that’s what you get
Oh boy. Oh dear. Well, we have made it to Part 14 of this wild ride, and I have realized that I am in deep, boys. I figure, what’s some more suffering to temper the sweetness with? So, here, a fresh serving of angst and emotions with a side of...sushi?
Thanks to @bitchesofostwick and her Ellinor for providing 99% of the fluff content in this episode because, poor Cass and Liv, it’s not in the cards this time...as you can tell by my selection of titles being a very particular Paramour song.
Enjoy the somber pining, dears!

-- -- -- -- --
Fridays are pains. Three classes, work, among other things -- they always feel like the final, difficult hurdle before the weekend rolls around. It helps to run into Ellinor in the dorm bathroom to brush teeth and dance around in pajamas until they feel some semblance of happiness. Alas, when Olivia stumbles in her black satin pajamas and finds no one there standing like George Michael from Arrested Development with a toothbrush in her mouth, it’s rather odd.
She looks at her phone. No messages -- no “got back safe” specifically. Oh no, is this when she has to turn into the woman from Kill Bill because someone snatched her best friend in the dark of the night?
-- Hey!! You make it back??? Why aren’t you up?
Ellinor: I’m good! Don’t go bananas.
-- What?? What’s going on?
✓ Read 8:03am
She tosses the phone on the shelf below the row of mirrors and slips some Crest paste on her toothbrush. While she gets busy, Ellinor finally responds:
Ellinor: I got caught up at Cullen’s. Stayed the night instead of walked back. It was a long movie.
Bitch. Olivia nearly chokes on her spit and toothpaste build-up in her throat. No fucking way did she just get ‘caught up’ in a late movie. Ellinor was not a lingering sort of girl. She got in, got out, clean hands and all. Deliberate was her middle name.
-- OMG. YOU FOUND OUT HOW MANY LICKS IT TOOK TO GET TO THE CENTER OF HIS TOOTSIE POP DIDN’T YOU?!
Ellinor: I hate you
-- YOU DIIDDDDDD OH MY GOD
Ellinor: I DID NOT OKAY HE LET ME STAY OVER THAT IS ALL
Ellinor: goodbye, blocked
She does a little happy dance on her toes, her brush sticking out of her cheek. Finally! Now everything is getting good. Cullen will start coming around, and he won’t sulk so much. Ellinor will get some action -- some good, honest, emotionally fulfilled action -- and all will be well.
She finishes up with her preliminary morning hygiene and walks back into the hall. Her stomach tenses still as she remembers the flyer on her door, but to her pleasant surprise there’s nothing waiting for her – just her RA-crafted door decorations and a small collage of music lyrics made during a Hall social.
The day continues without a hitch, well, except for a rather hilarious texting conversation with the woman who said she would block her but hours earlier. Leaving class, she finds this hilarious string of texts for her to read:
Ellinor: omg he brought me coffee, but I already bought my own!! shit fuck what do I do
Ellinor: GOD IM SUCH A DUMBASS
Ellinor: it’s all good I did a lap around the first floor and chugged it. I’m good. This is fine.
Olivia smirks to herself walking down the stairs in her boot heels, and types back a kind response:
-- Man, you’re going to have a great time in the bathroom today aren’t you?
Ellinor: I plead the fifth.
She gets through all three classes and her work shift at the University Rec building teaching her midday barre classes. Amidst the many talents her parents groomed her for, dance was one of the very select few that stuck -- and fortunately for her, landed a good job once she got to college. The staff are all cool, with the exception of a few quirky, type A ballet divas.
A couple classes to teach, a shower in the locker rooms, and she’s out the door and back to her dorm. She doesn’t plan on seeing Ellinor when she stops in to get ready for her TA work session with Cassandra. She gets through flat ironing her hair to at least look semi-presentable, a fresh light face of makeup. For her outfit, she selects black yoga tights and a black bando with a see-through chiffon collared sleeveless shirt of the same color. No jewelry, no pomp. The last touch is slip-on sneakers.
By the time she’s putting her hair up in a ponytail, it’s 5:15pm. She’s been a bit eager to prepare for this. A thought occurs to her: it’s Friday evening. Dinner time. Why not do something kind of...nice? She jumps up and grabs her car keys, her backpack of work to do, phone, and wallet, throwing it all into her shoulder bag and heading out.
She drives to the nearest Safeway and picks up a couple plates of their pre-made deli sushi. When she’s at the checkout line she does that Mom thing and sets her bag on the counter to find her debit card. As she scrambles, though, she finds that there’s something missing from its contents that she had taken for granted was there. The flyer. No sign of it, as if it grew legs and escaped. Fuck.
The checkout staffer is looking at her like she’s gone rich girl bonkers, so she pulls out her plastic money and gets it over with. Where could it have gone? She gets in her car, and before she leaves the store parking lot, makes sure to cover her bases.
-- Hey, did you keep the flyer?
-- Ellinor: Nope. Gave it back.
She checks her time, and it’s 5:45. To her credit, Safeway is only a couple stoplights from campus. She might be a bit late, but not offensively so.
Henderson Hall is in fact to the left of quad. Trust issues blocked on that one. As she walks up the steps through the archway entrance, she can’t help but wonder if Cassandra is going to be there. She had not texted her all day, which, in their short time as friends was a custom. Cassandra was attentive to plans.
10E is on the ground floor, so it’s a matter of picking the right direction and following the wall signs down into a bundle of offices. Dimly lit in some spots (Friday night of course) but, one room bright as can be through the doorway facing her as she rounds the corner. She peaks in, leaning against the wall a bit where a sign says “TA Work Room.” It’s a somewhat large room, with two windows on the opposite wall and a small, brown love-seat down between them. On the right wall, shelves of books and small succulent plants.
Then, a desk with a desktop computer and a dark red vase on the corner full of...flowers? Cassandra, though. She’s there. And when it’s realized she is there, Olivia only has eyes for her.
“Hey…” she says, as if she has a secret to tell.
Cassandra looks up, having reclined back in her seat with her legs crossed, a paper in her lap that she had been reading. “Hey!” her eyes go bright and she straightens up. “I thought you got lost, or something. I was about to text you.”
“Nah,” Olivia giggles nervously. She steps into full view of the open doorway, bags in both hands. “I was just weighed down by precious cargo.”
Cassandra’s eyes bounce between both arms of stuff, but she lingers on the white Safeway bag. “Oh?”
“Yeah! I thought...well, I was just in town and I picked up some rations to sustain us as we survive the trenches.” She comes forward and sets her stuff down on a neighboring desk that is smaller and without a computer. She efficiently pulls out the four sushi plates and sets them in a line.
“I didn’t know if you liked sushi. If you don’t, I’ll happily eat it all.” She glances over at her with a cheerful smile, trying her best. But Cassandra looks uneasy for some reason. Going for broke on the charm, Olivia pivots on her dancer toes and tosses her some chopsticks -- another sudden throw that Cassandra catches successfully.
“So, take your pick. Spicy tuna, California roll, or Dragon roll…”
Cassandra grins politely, breaking the nervous facade. “Uh, Dragon, please.”
“Hm!” Olivia lifts a teasing brow, “Noted for future reference.” She grabs and hands her the plastic carton, the soy sauce bags sliding in the box as Cassandra takes it from her. Nothing. Just...manners.
“Thank you,” Cassandra says lastly, setting off the stack of midterms to the side. “You can use that desk, if you want. I can get you a chair from the lounge--”
“Oh, no, don’t worry, I got it,” Olivia shrugs. She’s busy arranging her stuff around, pulling out the folders of bibliographies she’ll have to sort through and pick apart like a demon. “You’re all settled in, anyways.”
“No, it’s fine, I insist.” Cassandra gets up, as if commanded like a SIMS character, and rushes out into the hall. Olivia freezes and watches her go, the light breeze she generates carrying through the fly-away strands of her hair. Geez, okay, fine. Revive chivalry single-handedly then. When she returns, it’s not with a folding chair or one of the generic sitting ones on campus, it’s a whole computer chair, complete with rolling wheels and comfortable arm rests. It looks almost better than the one she has, and as she sets it down without breaking a sweat, it makes Olivia’s temporary desk look puny almost.
“...Thanks,” Olivia mutters with a second smile. “I feel like I should have a seat belt come with it.”
Cassandra chuckles -- but it isn’t her chuckle. It’s an anxious one, the kind Olivia gives at everything. She can spot it in another person a mile away. But, as they both sit down, she doesn’t bother to ask why.
Eating the first bites of sushi, her eyes go from her paper stacks to Cassandra’s quiet eating face so much it almost makes her dizzy. “You tired?” she broaches, ripping open another soy sauce packet for her California roll.
Cassandra shakes her shoulder as she’s mid-bite. “Yeah, a bit. I had class, and my volunteer hours at the YMCA. You?” Shit, that’s right. She volunteers teaching sports and tutoring. Stop being perfect.
“Yeah. I taught dance today...classes...nothing out of the ordinary, though.”
Cassandra looks up, and her response is immediate. “Nothing? You sure?”
Olivia almost flinches from the sudden shift in focus, and she sits up. “...Yeah…”
“You are absolutely certain?”
Olivia’s brow goes low, and she sets her chopstick hand down on the table. “Is this where you tell me I’m in that movie 50 First Dates and you’ve been having me bring you sushi every day for years?”
Cassandra purses her lips and looks down, a hint of blush in her cheeks. She then keeps eating, like the conversation suddenly doesn’t matter. Olivia wants to damn-near pick a fight, if it means getting responses and energy out of her. Exam grading or not, she’s acting funny. There’s no subtle confidence, no consideration and insightful look in her.
A couple hours pass, and the sushi has long-been eaten and tossed back in the bag it all came in. Olivia has gotten her elbows in deep with grading, about 1/2 of the way done with bibliographies. They are understandably messy and riddled with errors, of which she outlines every single one with blue pen -- a more relaxing color than the quintessential red. Cassandra is hard at work too, as is her style. She’s returned to sitting back in her chair with her legs crossed, paper in one hand and pen in the other, which she is clicking with her thumb every minute or two. At times, Olivia feels eyes on her, but she keeps focused. If Cassandra wants to say something, she says it.
At almost 8:30pm Olivia’s phone dings, and she glances over. She sees Ellinor’s name, but before she can read the message, Cassandra speaks.
“Olivia, I…”
She perks up. “Yeah?”
Cassandra is locked on her, end of her pen held close to her mouth. It almost takes what little breath she has away, the smartness of her. Her dark blue, long-sleeve sweater french-tucked into her black jeans with a slim belt on. Her somewhat narrow but toned shoulders hunched up a bit against the chair. Her tucked chin, emphasizing her keen but slightly-softened stare.
“...W-What’s up?” she looks from side-to-side, like a trap door is about to go off.
“I…” Cassandra pulls the staples pages back in order on the paper she’s on and tosses it onto the table. “I was wondering if...you were planning on telling me anything. Anything important.”
“Uh...no.”
“See…” Cassandra clicks her pen a couple times, her hands going to her lap, “I disagree.”
“You disagree?” Olivia sits back in her chair, elbows going to her armrests. “What does that mean?”
“It means I think you do have something to tell me. Or rather, should.”
“You’re right.”
Cassandra blinks, her face one of ‘oh, it was that easy?’ but things are never that easy with Olivia. She should know better than most anyone.
“Yeah. I lied when I said I preferred twizzlers. Red vines are better. I just didn’t want to partake in the discourse.”
Cassandra lays her head back, her eyes going up to the ceiling as she huffs out her nose. “Ugh, good God, I mean the flyer. The Church flyer with the writing on it!”
Olivia drops her pen and rolls back from the desk. Her vision blurs for a minute as she looks to the ground. It’s her worst nightmare realized: now it’s going to be a thing, a thing she can’t just control all by herself.
“Oh. That flyer,” she mutters, pulling her knees into her lap as she rolls her chair around to face her. “H-how did you find out?”
Cassandra sighs, rubbing the side of her head. Giving into the talk, she sets her own pen down, and stands up to go to the door. She shuts it quietly, as if anyone would be lurking around the office at 8:30pm hoping to pick up on this sweet gossip. She comes back to her seat and leans forward onto her desk with her forearms.
“Cullen. Apparently, you had dropped it in the library when you ran into him. He found it on the floor after you had left. He thought you’d be planning on saying something anyways.”
Cullen. That Golden Retriever-looking, best-intentions-having, Sulky-dude-bro-when-he’s-hammered, nice-guy-who-tries, shagging-her-best-friend son of a--
“Right.” She chews down on the inside of her cheek and rubs the rim of her mouth with her hands.
“I waited...for you to tell me on your own. I didn’t want it to be like this, but you seem to have had no plan to tell me even though it clearly has something to do wi--”
“With what, Cassandra?” she bites back, looking up and locking an acidic stare with her compassionate one. Silence. Awkward silence.
“...With me. I was going to say with me.” She goes sort of breathless at the end, but it’s too soft and fleeting for Olivia to care.
“That’s bold of you to assume. You clearly don’t know anything about what I’ve been through when it comes to bullying on account of my explicit behaviors.” She squirms a bit in her chair and holds her knees tighter against her chest.
“Whose fault is that? Agh,” Cassandra says bluntly while watching her, “you really should file a report. There are conduct rules for a reason, and this is at the very least sexual harassment. I looked it--”
“You looked it up?!” Olivia’s eyes go wide. “Jesus, why don’t you just file it for me then, since you seem to have it all figured out! Waiting for me to tell you, what the fuck, am I twelve or something?” She jumps up from her chair, no longer satisfied with being her equal. She goes for the couch, taking her phone with her as she lands on the corner cushion, tucking one leg under her.
“I was just--” Cassandra tries to respond before Olivia makes her move but is cut off. When Olivia sits, she resumes. “I was just trying to help. You shouldn’t have to fear going to your dorm at the end of the day or walking to classes.”
“Who says I fear any of those things?”
“So, you’re saying you are completely unmoved by this? That you see no problem with people calling you something so horrible?”
Olivia’s sharp mind goes into full debate mode. “There’s nothing wrong with being a slut, Cassandra, if it is someone’s choice to identify as such. The people who do shit like this prefer it to not be that way, so they can use it against people as an exertion of power.”
Cassandra’s eyes go a bit cold, but she remains partial to Olivia’s struggle. Clumsy, but partial. “Is...is that how you want to be treated, by a complete stranger just…invading your privacy? Olivia…” she then stands up and comes over to the couch, sitting a foot away from her. Her knees are parted broadly, but straight. Straight, straight, straight.
“What?” Olivia mumbles back, rubbing her face with her hands. “I’m not going to make this a big deal. Nothing’s happened since. It was probably just someone having a wild thought to do something horrible. That happens every day, right?”
Cassandra’s brows push together. “I’d really prefer if you told someone. For your safety.”
Olivia shakes her head. “My safety? You know what gets me about this? That you likely know who did this...or rub elbows with them. That you probably see them and talk to them in passing on Sunday and yet you think I should alert the authorities because I’m unsafe. What is that supposed to tell me of the company you keep?” She talks a big talk, but she doesn’t look at her. She keeps her gaze on her own lap, and lets the silence take hold. Then, out of nowhere, the confidence she is so tempted by returns in a cool, flat voice:
“Do you honestly think if I had any inkling as to who, I would just sit by and let you fend for yourself like I have no responsibility at all in this?” She’s outraged and foreboding in her temper. God only knows what she looked like when Cullen handed her the paper. Olivia only has the bravery to stare back at her and is humbled by the intensity. “I only hope that...that despite this...”
“What?” Olivia replies softly, but in vain. Cassandra merely sucks on her teeth.
“Do you...” she says after a pause, “regret coming to the Church to see me?” It is a subtly heartbreaking question coming from her.
Olivia rolls around and sits with her knees bunched up again like they were in her chair, with her lower back against the side of the love seat arm rest. “I don’t. Do you regret inviting me?
Cassandra doesn’t waste a moment, before she peers at her, chin raised. “Absolutely not.”
“I do have a regret about how I acted there, though.” Up against a proverbial wall.
Cassandra’s eyes narrow a bit uneven, her head tilted. “What? How so?”
“I...” Suddenly, an impulse bares down on her, and she scoots up onto her folded knees. In a push of inertia she resolves distance between them but stops, sitting at her side, knees against the side of her thigh.
Cassandra’s eyes go wide, but not too wide. Not surprised, but on notice. When Olivia gets that far with no objection she isn’t quite sure what to do. That’s the thing about impulses -- they didn’t come with a manual. But she wings it some more, and starts slowly leaning her face into hers. She reaches a hand and presses her palm gently against Cassandra’s cheek, guiding her to look at her head on as she closes in. She gets so close that when Cassandra’s lips part she can feel the edges of her warm breath. The brightness of the fluorescent office lighting goes dim and fades away, and Olivia’s heart is beating out of her chest. She wants that sign so bad, she wants something -- anything to give her vindication for wanting to hold onto her so closely despite all the writing on the wall telling her they’re mismatched. Cassandra’s lids flutter down, and she is frozen in place like a statue.
Then, a hand. A hand on Olivia’s shoulder, stopping her advance with care. Olivia opens her eyes fully, and looks into hers. Seeing the shade of them, she falls back onto her folded legs.
“Olivia, I...”
“You...you don’t...”
Cassandra’s mouth opens, and she frowns, taking her hand away. “It’s not... It’s...complicated. I can ex--”
“Complicated.”
“...Yes. But...look, I’m not that good with words. But I can explain. I just...I want...” She exhales with tension breaking her tone, her posture stiffening.
It’s no longer just Olivia’s worst nightmare realized. It’s her worst nightmare, having a worst nightmare.
“I...I gotta go.” If she doesn’t get out of that room in a minute she’s going to crawl out of her skin. She slides herself off the couch and walks back to her work, getting to it fast with the clean-up. She tries her best not to care what Cassandra does in the meantime. If she can get out fast, it won’t sink in under her skin, like everything else Her looks, her grin, the smell of Old Spice Wolfthorn she swears is there but can’t ever bring herself to decide.
“Wait.” She glances, and sees that Cassandra stood up, but hasn’t moved from her spot otherwise.
“No. I said I couldn’t stay long. I really...I should have left a bit earlier. I have a thing…”
“You...are you--”
“Yeah, I’m sure,” she shoves folders into her bag, zipping everything up with rigor. She slings the backpack on her shoulder and takes her other into her hand, grabbing for the Safeway plastic to dump out on the way. She turns around and stops, her mouth open, but no words. Cassandra has drawn closer, standing only a couple feet away now.
“Liv, I’m sorry.” Liv. She hardly ever uses her nickname. It’s always a polite, slightly formal ‘Olivia,’ even though she has made it clear time and time again ‘Liv’ is perfectly alright. Only now does she use it, and it hurts a bit. She really cares.
Olivia grins crookedly, and it pains her to do so. “No, it’s...it’s fine. I’m not mad.”
Cassandra’s expression says stop lying to me, please, but her mouth says the opposite. It gnaws at her heart. “Do...do you want me to walk you back?”
“I’ll be alright. It’s only a few minutes’ walk. Look, maybe we should, you know, take a breather. From hanging out, I mean. Just for a while. I feel like...like it’s just...” like I don’t know what you want from me.
Cassandra’s eyes narrow, in that sad kind of creasing way, and she frowns. That frown. “No, I understand. It is a busy time of the semester for me, anyway. I won’t be available much, and I don’t think you’ll be, either. Maybe, given what’s happened, it would be best for you.”
“...Yeah.” Olivia could have a whole ledger of things that people had said were ‘best for her’ over the course of her short life. But when Cassandra says it, all she can think is that being distanced from her felt like the antithesis of ‘best.’
There could be more words, but there aren’t. Cassandra nods, her hands together in front of her waist. She’s pressing on the skin above her thumb, on the side of her palm. She does that other times, and Olivia’s seen it. But only now does she see it’s a thing she does when things aren’t going well. She smiles and says thanks and heads out. The whole way her feet feel like bricks are tethered Even when she gets into her dorm, messes with keys and gets herself into her room. Turn back, go back, do it.
After dumping everything on the floor, she takes off her shirt and wipes off her makeup, before jumping on her bed to lay flat on her back. A few minutes of anxious staring up at the popcorn ceiling, and the demand to go back calms down.
Like an old, thoughtless habit already built in her psyche, she checks her phone for a ‘hope you got back safe, have a good night’ kind of message, but there’s nothing. Ironically, she wishes there is. The last messages on their thread are about the song recommendation. Fine, fuck, what could it hurt? What’s it gonna be, something about life lessons?
She pulls up her Spotify and finds her headphones -- a habit that’s foolish since she’s in her room all alone, but after the argument she instinctively clings to privacy. The song starts out with a slight upbeat rhythm, completely benign-sounding. But, then...she really listens, and the chorus hits --
If you're gonna let me down, let me down gently
Don't pretend that you don't want me
Our love ain't water under the bridge...
Nearing the end of the song she had preemptively mocked in her thoughts, her emotions she had done such a great job of suppressing are bursting at the seams. She goes from sprawled to curled in the fetal position in a matter of minutes. It wasn’t a clean escape.
But they are friends. It’s cut and dry. She should have seen this all coming. Girls like Cassandra and girls like her don’t do well together. Nothing about them says “promising,” just…just…
Knock, knock, knock.
“Olivia! You in? How was it?!”
It’s Ellinor. For some reason it only breaks Olivia’s heart more. She drags herself up off her blankets and to the door. Opening it and seeing her friend, in jeans and an old t-shirt, beautifully hardcore as ever, she sees that for all that Ellinor has to glow about, she, herself cannot relate.
“There you are! I want details, woman! And--”
Olivia can’t hold it back any longer. She bursts into tears, holding her phone to her mouth. Her headphones are still in, but the music has stopped playing.
“Shit, what happened?!” Ellinor’s face drops, and she holds her arms out. Olivia only shakes her head and steps into her embrace, pressing her head into her shoulder. Ellinor grabs her phone from her and checks the screen.
“I’m gonna kill her if she--Oh dear God, Adele?! Olivia, what have we discussed about listening to Adele so close to our cycles?!” she says as she holds her.
Olivia cries harder, her voice shrill but muffled into her shirt.”I-I fucked u-up...”
“Okay! Okay,” Ellinor responds quickly, “uh, okay, let’s...let’s finish that ice cream you have, alright?”

Lift-of-the-ground hug
Basicly it was going to be not longer than one page silly attempt at writing in English, but I’ve got carried away a bit ^^” This is dedicated to @crazy-bone-lady (Nevia belongs to her), bc she is a nice person dragged me into a bunch of cool people in my current fundom, where I was introduced to so many cool characters i would never know by myself. I really aprechciate this ^^ Since Nevia is my favorite one, I decided to write something she inqluded. I hope i didn’t mischaracter her ^^” (im also willing to write something like this with ataric but not really sure if i capable of that)
Also a reminder that I’m not an English-speaking person, so my apologies to you if you find this writing full of mistakes of different kinds (still need to figure out how to put direct speech into shape properly). I warned ya ;3
It was awfully early in the morning. Barely a few people were slumberly heading to their work places to get prepared for the daily Tower routine. Guardians are rarely wandering here that early, even commander Zavala wasn’t here yet. Nevertheless Fubuki was already on her feet, cheerful and vivacious after a good “two hours nap” which started yesterday noon and ended just an hour ago. Deserted Tower seemed so nice and unnatural so she was just strolling around, humming random melodies and enjoying the absence of croudy guardians while looking for the perfect place to sit and crochet the shawl she’d promised to Ikora.
Passing by the lord Shaxx’s survey point and obviously finding him here, already boisterous and loud, Fubuki noticed someone on the place commander Zavala usually stood. The Warlock’s poor eyesight didn’t allow her to recognize who was that person, so she called her Ghost out to help. “Ori, who is that over there?” she asked, pointlessly squinting at the stranger. Should’ve taken her glasses. “Oh, that is Nevia. That huntress from the Crucible”.
Usually lord Shaxx doesn’t match kinderguardians like Fubuki with fabled veterans of the Crucible, but some time ago he decided to give everyone a challenge, mixing up together guardians completely randomly. Most of the youngsters immediately started complaining about unfair difficulty since they were supposed to face and fight guardians way more skilled than themselves. Fubuki on a counterverse liked the idea of the challenge, but after some matches, where opponents were literally wiping floor with her, she almost gave up and decided to avoid the Crucible this week. “Just another one and I’m done with this humiliation” she thought, heading to the Nessus special fighting arena. This time was just like the others - she died and died and died… Almost crushed enough to explode and rage quit the match, Fubuki saw an opponent Titan, already speeded up enough to smash fragile warlock against the wall with their shield bash, but suddenly she felt a firm grab at her wrist and then was pulled behind the pillar next to her. Titan’s shield bash slammed loudly against the wall. Fubuki got panicked and threw her pulse grenadine towards the Titan’s direction. Confused Defender shrinked back, but wasn’t fast enough. In a split second Fubuki saw a cloak in front of her and then a flashy sword swing. The Titan clutched his chest plate with a shaky hand then dropped dead on the ground.
“Hey!” the cloak person turned back to an unusually speechless Warlock, brushing blood off their Quickfang. “Watch out where you are daydreaming, nerd!” Huntress barked and headed forward, searching for the other enemies. Fubuki followed her since she had always been told to stick with teammates in the Crucible, especially if they were actually capable of killing others.
Huntress seemed completely unbothered by a “never asked to be” companion, she was concentrated on winning this particular match. When she went through a giant stone arch in the middle of the arena, there was an unexpected foe. Another Hunter was hiding behind, squatting with Tractor cannon. Fubuki was shadowing her, so she met with this enemy Hunter face to face, while he was attempting to finish powerless opponent. Before he managed to shoot down Fubuki in a close range, she slapped him with an Arc charge, hurting him just enough to be finished with a single shoot in the head from the Huntress’ hand cannon. A perfect team work, yet absolutely spontaneous. Fubuki placed a healing rift, recovering the Huntress from that dirty trick. “Thanks” the only thing the Huntress said, reloading her magazine. Fubuki just nodded silently.
“I see you’ve got a little friend, Nevia, hahaha! Mind you, Fubuki, Nevia is a great warrior, but a terrible teacher!” lord Shaxx had been satisfied seeing twenty kills in a row by one of his favorite Crucible fighters and was praising their duo for the last five minutes. Nevia was doing most of the work, when Fubuki was putting all the effort to support her, providing healing, Arc souls and grenades, hitting the right spot barely half of all the times. When the match was over and everyone headed to collect rewards, Fubuki finally got a chance to have a good look at her savior. She was surprisingly very short woman, an Awoken just like Fubuki herself, with a severe gaze and short shaved head. “H-hey!” Fubuki exclaimed with her voice shaking of excitement, though the frown look she gained from the Huntress made her feel chill crawling on her back. Nevia looked up and down at the Warlock and then raised her brow. “Oh, it’s you”. The Huntress had probably recognized messy Crucible Warlock’s armor colored in Metroshift which Fubuki had been wearing during the match, her gaze softened a bit. It immediately brought a delighted expression back on the Warlock’s face. “Yes, it is me, your faithful support from the last match, hahaha!” she responded with a rather high-pitched voice. That’s what she does when she is excited or nervous. “I just hope I was not bothering you”
“Nah, you did fine”
“Hope so. By the way, your name is Nevia, right? I am Fubuki, it was a pleasure to fight alongside with such skilled guardian!”
“Hah, thanks”
Seeing the Huntress wasn’t really in the mood for a chatter, the Warlock got a move on with finishing this little pep talk. “Well, we are doubtedly matching in the next one, so, um… Good luck. May the Traveler's Light shine upon thee” she made a profound bow, spreading her hands in a proper Warlock’s sign of gratitude.
“The same goes for you” Nevia raised her hand, a shadow of a smile on her face. ”See you around”
From now on, Fubuki was meeting Nevia in the Tower sometimes. Every time the Awoken met each other, Fubuki waved her hand in a greeting, Nevia responded with a simple nod. Sometimes they shared a word or two. Amicable Warlock would love to make friends with this gloomy Huntress, but she seemed not really into making friends with anyone, so Fubuki was trying hard at least don’t be obtrusive. However, being in such a good mood, she decided to make a move. Fubuki jumped in the air and glided toward Nevia. Noiselessly landed behind the short Huntress, way taller Warlock grabbed her and then lifted of the ground in a snapshot. “Heya, Nevia!” she cheery exclaimed, holding tiny Huntress on her arms. “Glad to find you here tod…”
In the next few minutes Fubuki learned several lessons. First, never ever mess with Hunters before they are finished with their morning coffee. Second, if you’d spooked them or spilled their coffee, no matter how high you can jump or how many times you cried “I’m sorry!”, you’ll get stabbed. If you’d done both, it is for sure.
Fubuki was always the one learning in a hard way.
When Ori revived her, lord Shaxx, who had seen all the scene, was still laughing, definitely already bursting in tears, if only there was no helmet on his head. Nevia was already missing. “That...wasn’t such a good idea” Ori concluded. Fubuki didn’t say a word to him, only cursed to herself in several languages.
At the end of the day Fubuki was tired and really unhappy. She still felt guilty for the morning incident, and also very stupid. “You must always think first, you stupido. Now she is probably thinking I am mental or something” she rumbled to herself, heading to the vault. “Well, guess I deserved it anyway”
“Hey”
Fubuki didn’t hear someone approaching, so a sudden voice from behind made her flinch. It was Nevia staying behind with her her arms crossed on her chest. “Oh, em… Hi” Fubuki didn’t expect the Huntress to get close to her after she pissed her off. There was an awkward silence for a moment. “That… wasn’t very wise of you. You have to make sure this won’t happen again” she said, shifting from one feet to another. “I know, I am really sorry!” Fubuki exclaimed in response. “I… I just get really childish sometimes, I really do sorry for that”
“Yeah, and I could have played it cooler” Nevia said, lifting her gaze up to the Warlock. “Dammit, why are you such a pole?”
“I… I do not know. I was like this from, well, from the very beginning” the Warlock was a little frustrated, but it seemed the Huntress wasn’t pissed off anymore. And she kinda… made an apology too?
“So, no hard feelings, right?” Nevia asked, her face was less frown than usual. “Absolutely!” Fubuki responded with a wide smile on her face. The Huntress hold out her hand, the Warlock immediately shook it. “Glad we are cool now” she said, squeezing Huntress’ smaller palm. “If you ever need help with, well, some abstruse thing or maybe will need a medical advice, you can always call me for it”
“Sure, thanks. We should go outside the Walls someday” Nevia responded with a smug smirk. “Someone is gonna teach you not daydreaming right in the middle of the battlefield”. Fubuki laughed awkwardly. The Awoken took their leave of and both went where they were planning to. The weight of the guilt finally loosed from Fubuki’s shoulders. She hates being disturbing for anyone and the fact that Nevia had let the morning incident go made her finally feel good again.
“I hope you are not thinking you are already friends, right?” Ori hovered next to her, preaching as usual.
“We might become ones some day. She is actually nicer than she tries to look like”
“I doubt that”
“You doubt anything, little one”

Kai love story: When the girl of his dreams hides her inner rock and roll
Chapter 5: Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
(*Today became a new day when clouds are forming gray dark clouds and both Skyler and Chris are playing soccer at a large park*)
Skyler’s POV
The smell of rain is so good, I have a weird fetish smelling the rain but it feels so great when I play soccer. Chris has a few soccer balls but they are soft balls “I haven’t seen ya smile like that” he says. I chuckled a bit and I am kneeled down to tie my sneakers “What are you talking about?” Chris throws back the 3 soccer balls as I begin to run around then soccer one flying in the goal. “Chris....Um, what do you know about Kai?” I smiled a bit then run around as I kick and Chris catches it “Not that I know of but he is a cool dude, why?” I knee kick the ball up then throw a head butt of the ball “I don’t know....to me I just wanna ask ya cause he is a guy.” Chris is starting to know something “Sis, are you saying you like him?” I begin to blush a lot my face is warming hot as if I ate a chilli pepper “Chris no I don’t like him I am not not in love with some random guy who just came from a different country okay, I am not interest in the whole love business.” Chris says “Kai is a good guy it is amazing once you know about him.” I said “No no Chris I can’t.” Chris then says “Skyler he is going to make you happy.” I yelled back “He won’t make me happy!” Until then Chris responds back “What makes you think Kai is different, he is not Micheal!” My brother mentions my past ex boyfriend, Micheal, Micheal Micheal Micheal. Chris tells me “You see Micheal as a ghost, he is not part of your life anymore Skyler.” I let out a sigh crossing my arms “...Micheal is like my mom’s boyfriend before.....mom was abused for drugs.....I was...........never mind.” Chris was curious “What?” I shook my head “Nothing let’s play more soccer.” The story hides behind a secret that Skyler never wanted her Dad to know nor her brother. She never told them what happen with Micheal abusing Skyler has done something. Heavy rain pours more but that doesn’t stop my soccer practice.
(*After a few soccer practice was over the rain got a lot more heavier with a little problem*)
So it looks like we are in a lot of trouble, My Dad’s truck is not powering up as soon as Chris checked the battery is destroyed. Chris came back from a call he made “One of Dad’s tower friends might come but he is stuck in traffic, a big accident happen on the free way.” Jesus “But we can’t just leave the truck here this is Dad’s truck” I said. Suddenly from behind jumped scared me was a different man “Hey kids, what is the problem here?” he asked. Chris came up to back me away from this man “Um our Dad’s truck won’t start the battery is destroyed but we are gonna wait for someone he is stuck in traffic still.” The man checked the inside of the truck and everything as Chris is starting to heat up things pushing him off “Back off man!” I quickly grabbed his left arm “Woah Chris relax” Chris shouts “He might steal this truck it’s Dad’s!” The weird man had a grin on his face as if he was staring at me all of a sudden “My oh my look how beautiful Karla’s daughter became such a grown up soccer player.” Chris gets more angry “Hey you better back off before I start punching-” Woah wait a minute “...Karla?....My mom? Karla Yuna? Who the hell are you and why do you know my mom” I said freaking out getting angry. He smuggles a laugh “I’m her boyfriend’s brother.” Oh...my....god. How in the hell that monster that predator that beast, he has a brother.
(*20 minutes past waiting for the tow truck man arrived talking with Chris as Skyler is talking to her mom’s boyfriends brother*)
I had some time alone talking with the son of a bitch’s brother “You do know how much your brother is an asshole right....he is a pig, he murdered my mom fresh cold blood.” He smirks looking down and I made him lift his chin up “Look at me!!!” He smiles at me saying “Hey listen I wasn’t part of anything at all, my brother was broken ever since pops past away during the war” he said. Hm “...I’m sorry” I said. He then tells me “Listen kid, what I want to know is how is your pop doing? cause he is doing well raising his kids, little worm you got something I saw ya playing a few kicks in that goal, he must be proud having a smart daughter like you.” Wow since when did he became a soft person “Thank you my brother has had me trained very well plus I got my first soccer club meeting today.” All of a sudden he raises a hand to pat my shoulder “I like it worm girl, just make sure you protect your brother over there especially your pop, okay?” For some reason this man isn’t bad at all while he is that killer’s brother “...Wait, if your not busy over the weekend you can come over to visit and have dinner with me and my Dad” The man got up “Thanks for the invite but I gotta go take my son to the movies for some father/son time, it was nice meeting ya and your brother” But wait a minute “What’s your name?” I asked. He then stops from the back of his head but doesn’t hesitate to turn around “...Manny” he walks away leaving me with a blank face knowing he is the good guy, not a monster he is to the brother. Chris came back “Well there goes my 150$ for a new pair of shoes, so the truck is working let’s head back home I don’t want you catching a cold there girl.” Something came up to me as more rain drops but I wanted to say something to Chris. I walked with my brother back inside the truck hoping in. Manny, you are living a life that should be happy, not like your brother, I hope you enjoy taking your son to the movies......
(*Back at home the rain is pouring cats and dogs today as we see Skyler changing into comfy pj’s a over size black t shirt, The Walking Dead black sweats, and adorable Deadpool socks*)
I let out such a big sigh out of my chest getting comfortable on my bed getting my sketchbook out so I can sketch a new idea and I grabbed my computer leaving it by the side so I can be focused with some music. As soon as I was about to get my stuff ready my phone rang with a unknown number, jesus christ I swear to god Ruth I know your silly calls when you use a prank call app. I put it on speaker then answered the call “Nice try with the prank call app what’s next a asshole asking for some money.” I heard a different voice which was a giggle from a voice sounded familiar “Why would I do that if I can rob a bank soccer girl” Holy molly what the hell it’s Kai! “Ho! my god Kai?! Lord you scared me I thought you were my idiot friend who would use a prank call app.” I had such a panic attack the caller is just Kai “Wait a minute how did you get my number did you snooped my phone?” Kai answered back “Oh no no I have been texting your brother, we have been becoming good friends me and him.” Ugh that figures “Miracles happen, you two are made for eachother” I said it with sarcasm. He chuckles knowing he is smiling “You are a smart girl Skyler when I talk to you.” Wow, does he really mean it. He then ask “What are you doing anyway? It’s pouring monsters out there.” You know what.....the new idea hit to know what I can draw. I then answered “Um Im sorry I was about to draw something in my book.” I hear Kai saying “Amazing you like to draw? I can tell how beautiful those portraits must look” he said very assured of himself. I press a button on my computer playing music “Kai your not a ghost” I grinned. Kai laughs “Hey I finally know your smiling” Hm “I am sure you can bet on it.” I started sketching the details. Kai tells me “Hey is that....oh wow you listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival?” I’m surprised “You know your music taste” I said. Kai tells me “Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Disturbed, Of Mice & Men, you name it” he says. I smiled very big for the first time I never smiled this happy since Micheal. Maybe Chris is right, maybe Kai isn’t Micheal...He is just Kai. I then comment back “Have you ever seen the rain?” I said. Kai went silent about 5 seconds “You mean the song?” I look back at my window seeing the pours of dropped rain meaning if anyone has seen it but, does Kai see it “....It was my favorite song that questioned me everyday...Have I seen the rain? For the first time I did....before my mom died, the rain reminds me of her....my mom is the version of me.” Kai responds back “.....Sky...I’m sorry” he mean it to apologize now he must be worried he made me sad now “Kai....make sure you bring a 2nd controller, I’m looking foward to play zombies with you” I said. Kai then says “...Sky you won’t be disappointed when we play” Hm I hope so “....Goodnight” He then says “...Goodnight <3″ Our phones hung up and I am left with a sketch my design is coming up so far. Is this something I wanna sketch and keep it forever? Maybe I do...

Daiharu week day 2
I DID IT MY VERY FIRST FANFICTION AND OH BOI IF IT ISN’T CHEESY THEN I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS Im angry at myself because it took two whole days to end, and I wanted to catch up with rest of missed days eh But hey, there it is. And everytime I look at it I scream in embarrassment :)))))) Enjoy. Maybe. Hopefully. And warning! My english is v e r y bad, so im really sorry for every error and mistake you’ll probably find. I did my best ;;;
May have never been a fan of cold. She survived every winter under blanket drinking hot chocolate or cocoa and If she could she wouldn't ever move from her warm shelter. After moving to Hoenn this season was quite bearable because of fact that this region is known for it's more tropical, warmer climat. But still, it was too cold for her to function normally. Every adventure experienced in smaller temperature than 20 degrees celsius was a torment for her - too chill for her standard outfit, too warm for coat. But the league wont beat itself, will it? Because of that winter was less survivable for her than any other season, as soon as March approached, and temperature slowly stabilazed, May revived just like nature around her. Along with spring flowers grew her determination and will to go further into unknown. After her beating the league she hadn't have to spend winter evening inside Pokemon Centres or secret bases done on fast. Instead she spent them either in League or harrasing her friends that lived close to Evergrande with her presence. Despite this she still was thrilled at the beginning of spring. As soon as spring officialy begun, which was in May, and every lawn was flooded with flowers, May jumped onto her Altaria's back with big, picnic basket in her hands. - To Mossdeep, Alta! - She said while petting pokemon's cloud like head. There was no need to repeat, Altaria immediately turned the right direction and flew up into the skies. She loved calmly flying around on back of her pokemon in nice, sunny days like this one. It was sunny, delicate wind ruffled her hair and beautiful views were breathtaking. You could see so many things from above - strolling families, carpets of flowers on meadows, pokemon's happily splashing around on water surface. Everything around revived. If anyone asked her what her favourite season is she without doubt whould respond that it's spring. After one hour of flight from Lilycove to Mossdeep she landed on a sandy beach immedietly jumping off from back of her faithful partner. - Thanks for the ride. - She murmured kissing Altaria on her head and summoning her to pokeball afterwards. From here she took a short walk to her destination. Finally, she stood under his door with a great hope that this time he's at home. He gave her his keys long time ago, ever before her beating league, but she always prefared to knock first. So she did it now, and after fifth knock she started to get impatient. Then she heard rushed "In a moment!" behind the door. He's here. She gigled and fixed hair. Her heart started to beat faster and cheeks slowly turned slightly red. - Im very sorry, but I don't really have time right now. Im bu-... - He hadn't have chance to end his sentence before she thrusted picnic basket into his hands. He just noticed that no one other than May was standing in front of his door. - Good morning. It's too beautiful weather to waste for a paper job, right? - She grinned. They had a lot of league work recently, and he even took some of his papers home so he could finish everything there. But they both deserve a break, although one day break. He swallowed, starting to get a little stressed out. He did not expect that from all the people she was the one that agressively attacked his door with knocking. - May? Yes, of course, good morning, but what are y-... She interrupted him again, this time simply passing by him and getting inside. Steven sighed resignedly. - Dress up, we go out! - May said sitting down on the couch waiting impatiently for him to dress up into something other than pijamas. - But where are we going? - He asked her before he went to the bedroom to change. - Secret. - That's all she said. He put down the picnic basket that had been pushed into his hands and went to get dressed. May started to look around his house. It was always so cold and empty in here. She looked at the table where year ago he left letter and ball with Beldum for her. This Beldum right now is fully grown Metagross and important part of her team. He came back at the end of March and since then, every time they saw eatchother, it was work related. She didn't want their relationship to like like this, they used to be good friends. Or rather in her eyes they were friends. She had no idea what he thinks about her. One day he said, that he likes hard working people, and that's why he likes her so much. But was it the only reason for him to like her? Has he felt the same excitement she had everytime they met? This accelerated heartbeat, sweating of the hands or burning on the cheeks? This huge desire to catch the other's hand? She began to nervously play with her fingers. She liked to think that she was important to him, that this is the reason he left her a letter for her in his own house, as if knowing she would come here. That she will come to visit him. She shook her head. May, don't think about it, today is supposed to be cheerful, nice day. Finally he left the room dressed in his standard suit. He always looked good in it. She smiled at him calmly. May stood up from the couch and took the basket in her hands. - Let's go! Be careful, I walk rather quickly. - She warned him and wanted to open the door, but he overtook her at doing so and let her go first. As always. - Will you finally tell me where are we going, May? - She loved the way he was saying her name. - Nope, I wont. - May stuck out her toung. - Follow me, don't get lost on the way you may know. - She said speeding up her pace. He tried to go as fast as she did. Finally, she slowed down in a more stable, calm step. - You're out of energy, or can you gave up your own race? - He put a hand on her shoulder to slow down to the same pace as she did. She laughed. - Me? Giving up? That's not it. I just want to enjoy good weather and good company. - Either it seemed to her, or there was a slight blush on his left cheek. - I'm a good company? - He asked with slight disbelief. Often, people were bored in his company because he was starting to talk out of nowhere about either stones or other abstract subjects. She looked at him with one eyebrow raised - Steven, you are really good company, especially in my opinion. - She answered his question, looking away. He is a very good company, especially in her opinion, especially good company for her. - I like to hear your voice when you talk about what interests you. - May said quietly, but he still could hear her. This time he gently blushed on both cheeks. - R-Really? - His heart jumped to the throat, and May became more red. - Of course, you goof. - She laughed. It ended up with Steven happily tellling her about his last findings from back when he was in Kalos. She listened to him with curiosity and a smile, but also with a heartache. So he was in Kalos. She was looking for him. She searched in whole Hoenn, looked for him in Sinnoh, Kanto. She gave up on Johto. May couldn't find him at all, she totally gave up. She was afraid he wouldn't come back, but he returned. They stopped in a small meadow near the park. It took him some time to realize that she stopped. - So, this is where we stop? - He started looking around. - Exactly. - She answered briefly and put the basket down. She took a blanket out of it and spread it. While sitting down she took his hands and pulled him on that blanket. He had cold hands, but not as cold as the rings he wore. They were pretty rough, obviously from digging. Her smile become slightly sad. She wanted to hold him by the hands, but she let them go and started to take things out of the picnic basket. - I like spring. - She muttered, concentrating on taking out the food that she had specifically made for the picnic. - I love when everything blooms and comes back to life. I like it when it comes back - everything that had disappeared for the winter. - She looked around. The glade was covered with flowers. She adored such views. - And you, do you like spring, Steven? He was thinking about something. She saw a slight blush on his ears and smiled. - I like spring, especially May. May is really beautiful. In May bloom most of the flowers in the year. When it all comes everything becomes lively, everyone smiles charmed by the beauty and positive energy of this month. - His blush moved to his cheeks and he looked down at his hands. - I wish there was always May. His words made her face all red and heart beat really hard. He didn't talk about her, he talked about a month - she repeated this thought over and over again . This isn't about her. She took a deep breath. Damn it. Gently, she hesitantly moved her trembling hand on his. Her second equally shaking hand, placed on his cheek to direct his gaze on herself. Both were equally red. They were both equally stressed out. Both hands sweated. They both wanted to hold each others hands. Before she could say anything he did it first. - I wish you were always here, May. He again looked away embarrassed by what he said. He've never felt like this before. He never felt the way he felt since he knew her. He didn't need to hold someone by the hand, hug someone, take care of someone, and think about someone the way he thought about her. Everytime he closed his eyes he saw her, and while opening them, hoped for her to still be before his eyes. With her came a sudden revival, everything began to bloom, the colors seemed brighter. It was warmer inside his heart. She was just like spring, so warm and lively. So colourful and happy. She said nothing, only smiled gently. He was about to withdraw, he was about to apologize for what he said. She, however, only rubbed his cheek with her thumb and then, with faster heartbeat she got closer. Gently pressed her lips to his, not too sure how to do it properly. They both felt the temperature rise, sudden spark between them as their lips gently brushed. They were both too afraid to let go, feeling that when they do, everything will just disappear. She pulled away first, only to hug him tight. - When you were gone, no matter if it was summer or autumn, everything was gray and cold. Everything was just like winter when you suddenly disappeared. Now finally spring came back because you did. She muttered slightly, hugging him tighter. After a moment he returned the hug by pressing her more to himself. - From today, spring will last forever.
