Hello! Fellow comic writer here ^-^ Hope you and Doody are taking a little downtime after the recent update!
I discovered DH just after the Mother Spore arc, and I was curious how quickly the series grew to the audience it has now. Was it steady and gradual or did something give it a boost all at once?
I HAD THIS ASK SITTING IN MY ASKBOX FOR MONTHS CUZ I WANNA TALK SO BAD ABOUT IT !! BUT LIFE HAPPENED AND I COULDNT
Get ready for story time!
A lot of people think DDVAU started in 2024, after mother spore. But it didn't. Yes the boom of the story was January-February 2024, but the story has been going on since 2022, November 2022.
When we started DDVAU Doody and I were both University students, in our second year im pretty sure, so the updates didn't have a schedule and there wasn't an overarching plot. The idea for the mother spore arc happened in january / february 2023. But at that point we were working on chapter 10 and the valentines special. And then life happened, personal stuff happened and we took a hiatus until August 2023, and then December 2023. Again, it took,, time...
DDVAU had a small following at that time, and both of us were okay with that, we weren't expecting the amount of support it had during that time (2k notes per update), we felt overwhelmed with love at that point!
Then mother spore part 1 happened, december 2023. That was the first time I decided to go crazy on twitter and start posting with // DDVAU spoilers, and just be a fan of my best friend work. I didn't know that by doing that, it called a lot of people attention. This chapter ended up in a cliffhanger AND it showed a lot of other characters that we never shown before, so a lot of people were interested because their favorite guy appeared! Also we had multiple pretty cute moments between characters. Then people started livetweeting and sharing their opinion using DDVAU spoilers. It kinda snowballed after that. People asked what it was and people shared.
Doody and I thought it was gonna just be that, one simple update and then it stopped. BUT IT DIDNT! Then February 2024, Mother Spore 2 came out, and the whole process of last time repeated. And since this one had more action, everyone was more curious and more interested in what was going on. I keep tweeting and interacting with fans, cuz I am patient 0, DDVAU biggest fan.
THEN the DDVAU server happened, and a lot of people started joining, and I joined as well. People shared fanart, theories, we were able to chat and be nerds with each other. It build up hype for the next hiatus since again.. Doody and I were still university students.
Mother Spore and the end of volume 1 dropped in August 2024. The process repeated again, I also streamed again to keep the hype up. Doody and I yapped for hours and shared fun tweets and live reactions.
AND THEN, the first merch drop happened and once again people were surprised and sharing their thoughts and ideas and everything. Then our lovely friends and guys at the DDVAU server, planned an entire Zine for christmas to surprise doody and I, which again CRAZY!!
Then volume 2 happened, we started uploading it to webtoon and just kinda, kept doing what we like. The monthly schedule helps to build up hype, monthly streams and just,, having fun with my friend helps a lot.
But of course, nothing would have happened if we didnt have so many lovely and wonderful people that just support everything we do. All the lovely people who buy merch and support the kofi (since its the only way we actually get paid as an indie project), all the lovely people who are in the discord, share on twitter and tumblr and tiktok and literally anywhere.
Its always great and so lovely :D
DDVAU growth didnt happened overnight, we worked for a year before mother spore exploded, and then we just kept sharing our passion and love for this story, causing so many more people two get interested.
This is a dream came true, and I wanna thank everyone for letting us live in it

Full animatic And so, part 2 of my comments, let's start.
◁Part 1 || Part 3 ▷
In the last part, and here, the order in which the children got to William is shown, and I will explain why it is not the order of the murders Here is a MEMO with missing children to make it easier to navigate, since I drew very simplistically.
I mean, when watching usually fnaf animations, I myself had the question "who the fuck are all these kids?" and, either in another animation I understood, or I did not understand at all, or the designs were so simplified that you can guess (I mean a child in all red or with a pirate armband is foxy, Freddy is all brown, etc.) So I just made outlines of their hair and costumes and that's it
It's just a little complaint here, don't pay attention, I'll just say it once, and that's because I didn't think that someone would write the same thing all the time when writing AU And one more thing. Chick's name is SOFIA. Please guys, I know that Suzy from fnaf 6 exists, okay? She's there, hell, she's even in the animation next to Cassidy. I just shifted her from being a chick to another one, not removed. And she also has an interesting role and a different design logic, I just don't have time to do everything. In fact, I even have a reason why Sofia exists and I wrote a very long text post about it, but I haven't finished drawing sketches there, so you won't see it yet. It's just that I'm starting to get a little bit hung up by the same type of comments from Pinterest, although to get rid of this, I write in big letters everywhere that it's AU
Let's go back to the animatic
I have displayed the methods of killing, which will then be reflected in the appearance of the ghosts. In fact, I took the idea from my old horror zine Fnaf art when I was thinking about how the children died there to make their appearance more creepy. Some of the ideas remained, and some were redesigned, as well as some designs
Sofia was placed in a ventilation unit. William caught her and left her there suffocating in the off ventilation , after a light strangulation, suffocating in the off ventilation. She didn't actually die, but she was the first (And I refer to this also in a custom night with the phrase "I was the first, I have seen everything!") And now imagine how the room smelled of chemicals after cleaning it from all kinds of oils and other liquids necessary for mechanisms that are very difficult to wipe off. While ventilation did not work and the girl was locked in a narrow place after she was strangled, forced to watch through the slots for the children who were after her That's why Sofia's ghost makes such a quiet clucking sound, as she coughs as if she's still in the ventilation. She won't die of suffocation, nah, in this comic she's still alive and William can cut her throat.
About the rest it is more obvious, well, not counting the pictures on the Background.
Jeremy was electrocuted, so his ghost hair is pulled up as if by an electric shock. He also has charred lips and eyelid skin and no eyebrows, and his hands have torn and charred stripes from just the same clamp. He looks like the most crippled of the three
Fritz couldn't stand the blows from blunt and sharp objects and in the end they attached a mask to his face with a nail gun or something like that and set it on fire quite a bit. Well, just a little bit. His background is directly related to the comic, which Redraw at the beginning, and now I continue. I'm still doing it, but I need a lot of time for it
Gabriella was basically cut while they wrapped one of those cables around his neck that are forever hanging on the walls in fnaf and pulled out his eye after death

hi quip! i really like your one piece comics and i am curious how you do them! i'm not good at comics and want to be better at drawing them! how do you learn how to make comics?
thank you!
uh oh... im afraid u have caught me at the perfect crossroad of "bored at work" and "unrelated task ive been meaning to do but keep putting off."
this is long. i hope you like reading (and grayscale progress pics). and of course!!! disclaimer before we begin that this is just how I, personally draw comics. there is no "right way."
quip's comic-making process!
Switching my typing to make this more legible...
My process can kinda be broken down into 6 steps:
Brainstorming
Thumbnailing
Sketching
Panels & Text
Lines
Tones/Colors
1. Brainstorming
My brain is a leaky sieve on a good day, so I sloppily jot down ideas in my phone notes the moment I have them. This helps me when it's time to draw too, because if I feel art blocked, I can look through old concepts and see what catches my interest.
Otherwise, I love drawing for other people's writing. :) And if worst comes to worst, doing manga/comic page redraws in my style teaches me new things every time.
Once I have my idea, I'll usually make a bulletpoint list of "plot points" or "story beats" I want. Then I plan the comic with this format that I've adapted from a tutorial I read once. I'm going to use my most recent comic (original comic post) as an example.
Tumblr media
I start in the third column, writing notes of what I'd want to see in each panel. I also include the dialogue (in this case, I didn't have to write the dialogue! it's from the fanfic linked in the original comic post!). I usually write the whole name like [Luffy:], but at this point I've drawn so much of these guys, just the first letter works.
I like to handwrite these notes to get an idea for how much text I'm putting in a single panel.
After I describe all the panels, I go back and separate them into pages. I can't tell you how to know how many panels to a page. It's whatever works for you. I just kinda know about how big each panel will be, and so I can feel when I'm probably running out of space. (Also. You can change things later. I don't in this example, but I add/drop pages/panels all the time.)
2. Thumbnailing
Thumbnailing—as the name suggests—should be done tiny. Too tiny to accidentally get sucked into details.
This is about marking down blobs where items/characters go, and figuring out the paneling. I'll draw and redraw these a bunch of times too.
This is also the most time-consuming/brain-working part for me. If I were in a zine that did progress percentage, I'd try to finish thumbnailing around the 50% mark (but I'm also a moderately fast artist, so your mileage may vary).
Tumblr media
I think the terrible quality makes them charming, actually. I really like how silly they look. :')))
I will add, when you draw your "page" rectangle, make sure it's the same proportions as your actual canvas for the final image. You want an accurate idea of how much space each panel will take up, especially if you have a lot of text.
3. Sketching
This is my most recent change to my usual workflow, and it's saving me a lot of time. I make my thumbnails a bit bigger (each one about half the size of the final canvas), and I sketch these basic body forms right over them.
Tumblr media
It just helps give me placement for my actual lines!
I usually draw these in a paleish color so I can lower the opacity and not get distracted by them while lining. The random darker parts are to either help keep two forms separate (like when two characters have their limbs all over) or to better define sections that were too sloppy/poorly proportioned.
I also think this helps my poses stay looser, because I have more dramatic/wriggly shapes that aren't too bogged down by proportions yet.
Sidenote: I CANNOT show this here, but sometimes this is when I take videos. Of myself. I prop my phone camera up and shoot a video of me acting each panel. :/// It looks really dumb, but it also shows me fun body language ideas like hand gestures, expressions, weight distribution, etc. Just pretend you're an overdramatic cartoon character, and try not to worry about your roommates or mother walking in on you doing odd things. (You can also use the video for anatomy reference later, but I usually just capture the vibe and don't try to copy the actual video frame.)
4. Panels & Text
Oh, boy. So, the panels are usually just straight lines (though it's fun to make creative exceptions, like a round panel to mimic looking through a spyglass), but there are some fancy rules that I don't strictly adhere to.
Tumblr media
I believe (I have no technical training in this. Take everything I say with a grain of salt) the vertical gaps (between two side-by-side panels) should all be a consistent width and the horizontal gaps (between two panels on top of each other) should be another. The vertical ones? Should be thinner? Because you want the eye to easily glide between them, whereas the horizontal gaps should be a visual barrier to keep you from jumping ahead. Just something I've vaguely noticed.
There are lots of fun "default layouts" you can look up. Or keep it a consistent grid. I think it's fun to sometimes have characters/objects sticking out of panels and overlapping others. This is just a matter of taste, creativity, and inspiration. (Read Witch Hat Atelier... It has some of my favorite paneling...)
You may also notice I have already done the speech bubbles. This is, to me, a crucial step. This helps me catch early if I don't have enough room for all the words. It also lets me plan the art in each panel with the speech bubbles in mind. There's nothing worse than working really hard on a panel, and then you realize there's no room for the bubbles.
I also try to lay them out in a way that guides the eye! Even without art, can people tell where to go next? Better yet, if I want people to look at panels out of order (aka not left to right, in my case), can I use the speech bubble path to make them? Here's just a vague example of what I mean.
Tumblr media
As an added bonus, doing speech bubbles early also allows me to be lazy! :) Ignore the comic; I'm not supposed to post it yet oops,, There's a whole lot of drawing to do on each comic page, and I am not wasting my time on stuff that will be covered up. So yes, if I hide my bubbles, there are a lot of unfinished lines trailing off into nothing. (As a bonus, if there's a part of a character you're struggling with—and it won't look weird to do so—you can move speech bubbles to just hide the problem area yayyy)
Tumblr media
Making the actual bubbles could be their own whole tutorial, tbh, but there are some general guidelines I use.
Zoom out when you choose your font size. You want to know how it will look to the average reader, so it isn't super teeny tiny or way too big. You generally want to keep the same text size for all your pages/bubbles.
When I draw bubbles, I try to size them about one vertical letter height (and some change) around the words [left side]. This isn't always the case though, because humorously large or funny shaped text bubbles can convey different feelings [right side].
Tumblr media
On Procreate, I set my bubble lines to Reference and just drag-and-drop the white fill on a separate layer below the lines. (Remember to turn Reference back off again when you're done, or your fill bucket won't work right when you're drawing.)
To get the white outlines I use to keep the bubbles from cluttering up the art, I literally just Gaussian blur an all-white copy of the lines + fills... and then I copy and merge it 5 times until it's opaque enough. This is a terrible way to do it, but it works for me. :')
Tumblr media
5. Lines
This is the part that I can't tell you how to do. I literally just. Draw right over my wacky sketched body forms. Boom. Comic drawn.
Tumblr media
I'll make three suggestions:
Don't focus on making every panel perfect. Give a little extra love to big ones or ones you want people to linger on. Otherwise, know that people are typically speeding through the art. It's way more important to focus on storytelling than art technique. In my opinion, a good story that's told well will always be better than a beautiful one told poorly. (Some comics are beautiful AND well-written... Alas, I am just a hobbyist who needs to get the ideas out of my head at top speed.)
Put your background lines on a different layer. Put your foreground lines on a different layer too, if you have those. Basically, I try to keep the main part of each panel (usually a character or object) on my lines layer so I can erase background/foreground/etc lines to ensure clarity/focus.
You can make background lines lighter colors too. I have too many numbers sorry. (1) Background. The stuff that's farthest away. Lightest lines. Few details; more focused on shapes and the suggestion of a background (I'm not good at backgrounds). (2) Midground. Same distance away as the characters are. Lines can be black. (3) Also midground, and also the same distance away. But they're very detailed, so I lighten them so they aren't so distracting. (4) The characters. Black lines for focus. For people who haven't seen the comic, I swear they are just hugging. This is SFW. D:
Tumblr media
6. Tones/Colors
Do not. Do NOT ask me. I don't understand colors. I hate working with them, but I try because I want to improve. I hate doing anything beyond the simplest grayscale shading. Please go elsewhere for your coloring/tone advice. This is how my color picker looks 95% of the time. I have pre-set "percentages" of black that I got by lowering the opacity of a black layer and just color picking it. I don't even know the exact percentages I used. Good luck out there. Be better than me.
Tumblr media
7. Sharing
This is a bonus step that I didn't mention earlier, but it's actually the most important of all of them.
You need a friend. Or maybe a groupchat or discord. A family member or coworker if you're really close like that. I don't know.
Find SOMEWHERE you can spam wips and be cheered on. Drawing comics takes a while, especially if you're trying to tell longer stories than I'd dare to attempt. If I don't force someone to praise me for every line I draw, I shrivel up and die.
Also if and when you post online, add alt text. I'll admit I'm the first person to complain and drag my feet on this, and I literally use a screenreader myself when my eyes hurt (strong prescription glasses wearer). Comics should be accessible, because stories are fun and everyone should be able to enjoy them.
***
Learning???
And I guess lastly, how do you learn to make comics? Two steps: 1) read them and 2) make them. This is the tragedy of creating things.
1) Reading them: I grew up reading comic strips, western serialized comics, and webcomics. I've always loved graphic novels too. Then in late middle school, I started reading manga (Death Note and Haikyuu were my first two), and now I'm trying to read more webtoons (sorry im so slow bree)!
I also... mass-consume doujinshi, thanks to proxy mailing services and bilingual friends/Google Translate/knowing some Korean. (I have an entire bookshelf of doujin, actually,,)
The thing is, it's not usually enough to just read comics. You also need to be thinking. :/ I notice paneling, comic devices, clever comedic timing, etc. as I go. It's just a lot of studying/learning while also enjoying the story.
2) Making them: You just have to start. :( Even if you think they're "bad." My first comics were actually just drawings placed randomly all over the page, connected by speech bubbles (yay... I was already practicing how to place bubbles to lead the eye around the page...). I was going to post a pic here, but I'm a coward. Backscroll my account and you can find some older ones though.
I also know my art in general improved dramatically when I did ten comics in ten weeks for my friend's fic. Don't do this. It hurt my hands/wrists. But do practice in moderation.
***
If you actually read all that... I hope it made even a modicum of sense. And maybe it was even helpful? Just know at the end of the day, there is literally no right way to draw a comic.
And if you aren't ready to go for it yet, you can start by just adding a couple speech bubbles to your illustrations or doodles! It's a way to add storytelling and dialogue writing to things you may already be making.
Yay. I love comics. :))))

ShortBox Comics Member Interview: Jona Li
Throughout the month of October, the Cartoonist Cooperative will be sharing interviews with members of the Co-op who have a new comic available at the ShortBox Comics Fair 2024!
NOTE: The Cartoonist Cooperative is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way formally connected with ShortBox.
Today’s spotlight is Jona Li and their new comic for ShortBox, Rewired
Tumblr media
We’d love it if you could introduce yourself and tell us about your background in comics.
Jona Li: Hello! I’m Jona and I’m a comics artist based in Tkaronto. I’m an animation school grad so I was originally working in the animation industry before I decided to do comics full-time, which was possible largely thanks to an arts grant I got from the Canadian government. I’ve always drawn short comic strips and one-pagers in my free time, and comics have always been my go-to medium for storytelling. My first real foray into comics was exhibited at ShortBox Comics Fair 2022, and since then I’ve done a couple of other short comics for anthologies and zines organized by friends. Even though my professional background is largely in animation, the comics medium is still something that has stayed a passion of mine, both with consuming and making them. I’m excited to continue to possibly make comics full-time.
Tell us more about your new comic?
JL: My new comic Rewired is a speculative short using surface-level sci-fi elements to tell an interpersonal story about someone who’s willing to change anything about themselves for someone they love. I guess it’s an inherent tragedy where you know it won’t go great either way–you can’t really change who you are without consequences and you can’t fully understand another person enough to fully cater yourself to them. The MC thinks interpersonal relationships and romance can be solved like a math equation, but the worst and best thing about people and relationships is that it’s unpredictable and indefinite. In many ways, it’s also an allegory for neurodivergence–wouldn’t it be great to simply program yourself to behave a certain way so others will like you more? That’s kind of what I was trying to do with this comic.
Tumblr media
Tell us about your creative process; how did you develop this comic and what are the steps you took to bring it to the final stage?
JL: I had a lot of trouble at first coming up with a short and concise idea for something that’s ideally just twenty-ish pages long. At first I tried out a more lighthearted, comedic short about two friends reconnecting and having a blossoming romance while trying to give a burial to a dead cat they found. I guess I never grasped the characters enough for that one, so I looked around for other inspiration.
I really like the concept of mundanity mixed in with the fantastical, something like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, where an android girl runs a café in a post-apocalyptic setting. That was kind of the blueprint for the comic I have now. From there, I wrote out the general beats for how I want the story to go, and then I wrote the script and did my thumbnails.
This was actually the first time I ever had a proper thumbnail stage while doing a comic, the last few comics I did were purely just me making it up as I go…in the end I still changed a lot from my thumbs to the final sketch. Then I decided on the general look of the comic, which is what you see now!
Read the rest of the interview HERE! And dont forget to check out the Shortbox Comics Fair to support these lovely creators!!

i posted this on bluesky first, but here it is as a block of text for easier reading
what if i wrote a moderately wanky thread or newsletter post about people talking about an indie art revolution and how if it happens it won't be online and there won't be evidence of it for years, it'll just be a vibe and it'll only happen if people talking about it actually go outside and make it
im just gonna do it yesterday Chase Carter of Rascal News posted an addition to their article about games journalism not being marketing, in which they called out that the audience the article targeted were not Rascal's audience. This is where I'll start. read the post I quoted here
Tumblr media
Internet discourse is a practice of preaching to the choir, preaching to the pastor, and an exercise in futility in 90% of cases. You may be educating someone, but more likely you are just talking to people who already agree with you and may know more about the topic than you (this thread included)
The way the internet is shaped around common interests exaggerates this when it comes to indie art. You know who sees indie art online? other indie artists. In a small community this only gets more pronounced. People call this an echo chamber when they want to be rude. I think of it like art club.
everyone at art club has a buy in on making art, because they're an artist too. I'm a volunteer at my local art gallery. Every other volunteer assumes I am also a visual artist. Because art club exists in the offline spaces too. Most of the customers at a small town art market are also vendors.
But unlike my local art gallery where school kids can tour it and families bring their kids in for handful of minutes where they can make the children quiet after a 5 hour car journey, and adults waiting for a train after lunch can kill some time, the internet doesn't get tourists.
Or at least, most of the tourists are just visiting from a different art club. So when I saw a creator today talking about how all their colleagues (I'm not sure if at a day job or a creative job) are sick of mainstream slop and the time is ripe for weird indie art, I sort of winced.
Of course everyone at art club wants an indie revolution, that's their stuff! But it won't happen if we just post about it on social media, because nobody who is not in art club is going to show up to the rally. Here's another angle:
In uni I attended at least 3 AGMs for clubs that didn't meet quorum, because people assume that someone else will go and a meeting sounds boring. But without the club AGM, there's no queer disco, there's no art show, there's nobody handing out condoms at the event, there's no tea in the staff room
And it is these public and open spaces that get people interested and involved who are not already at the club. When the jock picks up a little condom packet (because free condoms!) from the queer club, he also gets info about preventing HIV.
When the kids get dragged into the art gallery in a weird small town populated entirely by weird small town artists, they see weird art that makes them ask questions. "Why do her boobs have to be out" "why is that hand holding an orb full of cash?"
If you have a table of free zines at a local market, at least one person will think about your weird art who usually doesn't think about weird art at all, or is from a completely different art club to yours, but has a friend or family member who your art reminds them of.
Today at the gallery I explained how valuable it is that she has kept her son's retro consoles in good condition to a jade carver. Our interests don't overlap much but I was there the first time she ever set up her work for exhibition and we had a lovely conversation!
If you want a weird and indie art revolution, it has to be offline. You cannot rely on art club to change the world without people who don't attend. Like I said, I know this thread is just an example of doing it all online, but it's also not the only thing I'm doing.
one more thing - if you are shy about your art with the people you share physical space with, stop that. You don't have to show your mum your most soul revealing poem or any porn at all, but you should start getting comfortable showing people what you're working on, or explaining your projects
I promise, even if you think your art is silly or doesn't matter, or isn't good enough to show off, someone is impressed by it. An old lady at the art gallery asked if I was going to have an exhibition and I laughed and showed her a gif of pixel art art fighting game santa I had been working on
and she started talking about how there SHOULD be an exhibition of digital art. She had no context for pixel art or fighting games but she saw an animated santa doing punches and kicks and was tickled pink. Audiences don't need to know what's going on they just need to have feelings about it
2 calls to action, if you want them:
know when and where your local markets are. Attend them, talk to the vendors.
show your art to someone in your physical vicinity. Draw on a thank you card or write a poem for a notice board if you want
If that's easy cakes for you, here's a harder one (and one I'm going to work on myself)
organise yourself a booth at a local market, or a piece in a local art show, or ask your local art gallery if they're accepting works for their gift shop. At the very least leave some zines somewhere.
People don't want to put in the work to become part of art club, and that's fine, you can still show them the art you make, and they might even love it, and sharing with people outside the club is the ONLY way a club turns into a movement. Otherwise you just become academics.

Link to my newsletter where I post more of my opinions once a week if I remember to write it

hello oh great fanfiction community !
i saw a stsg big bang event acc today and before that event gets rolling, i would like to say some words about fan events and specifically big bangs in general - without targeting any specific event, and maybe as some food for thought for the community/prospective event runners.
under the cut: the argument for a reverse bang (not femdom)
this is a bit of a ramble but i'm writing this as i have my coffee so you'll have to deal with it being a bit of a braindump.
so let me first just say that i love fan events and i extra love big bangs. the concept of teaming up with someone is awesome. you get to make friends, and specifically you are making friends with someone with a different but related hobby! (art vs writing)
that being said, in all fandom spaces i have ever been in - zines, events, general interaction - there is a pretty heavy favoritism towards artists. you can see this when you look at the number of artists slots in zines, relative levels of engagement in fanart vs fic posts, and, of course, in big bangs (artists select prompts, rather than writers).
now, i am not blaming artists for this (not fully - although sometimes this becomes entrenched in the space's culture, esp with zines and zine groups). there are actual reasons for this:
Zines - art takes up less space than fic - of course you can fit more of them in a zine. also, artists can do merch (imagine writing merch... fortune cookie slips?)
Likes - art is extremely quick to see and ingest, and then smash the like button. writing requires a bit more time investment and usually clicking to a second tab. it is very logical for art posts to get more engagement. (and i think the kind of engagement fics get is often more rewarding - i would not trade my comments for any number of likes. however this, and follower count which correlates, is a good general measure of 'popularity')
Big Bang/Prompt Selection - artists go "omgggg no i can't write the pitch i suck at writing!!"... and i'm going to be so real, i think they're right lmfao. i mean the answer is 'well git gud' but in my experience this is actually true, they struggle to write out pitches.
so yeah, there are real factors that drive artist power/popularity ahead of writers in these spaces. that can also influence the culture of how they are often given priority in fandom events. while i don't blame artists for that, it kinda sucks as a writer. often, as a writer, it can really feel like you're begging for scraps - limited zine spaces, engagement on posts, etc.
which is why big bangs are so great! as a writer, you get a buddy! we love buddies! (not that firefighter ship, i don't know her.) collaboration is great. as a writer, you get to pitch your ideas, and then some artist is gonna see your idea and be like "omg i love that idea" and then they claim you and you get to be buddies, right?
right?
well, this is where the equity problem can come back - because writers are the ones pitching first, they are still in the vulnerable position here. i've been in a few big bangs, and by the nature of this system (writer pitch, artist pick), you often will end up with writers who don't get a pitch claimed, or a situation where artists are pinch hitting and doubling up to make sure everyone is matched up.
which just doesn't feel great.
now, like i said, there are valid reasons for why writers pitch first - fic is more describable (there are events, it's not just a still), writers are better at words (tough to hear but true), and it also takes an ass ton of time and motivation to write (i have even seen some events where there's a big lead time on fic creation, then artists get paired later in the process).
but, consider, it is simply less fun this way. all of these events sort of function on the assumption that an artist will get inspired by fic/prompt - without giving writers the chance to do the same. for writers, there's no spontaneity in this process. we have to be in the driver's seat.
sometimes, a writer deserves to kick back with a pina colada and say "yeah bro what's the vision" as the artist says "ummm... idk i wanna do like.. pastels? kinda like, fluffy springtime? oh and here's a new rendering technique i want to try- [pulls out tablet]"
because the thing is, i can work with that, actually. i think a lot of writers can. all i need is a handful of tags - AU and some general mood indicators - and we can find something compelling to write. you wanna put the character in some ridiculous pinterest strappy outfit? i'll write the choreography of getting into/out of the ridiculous pintrest strappy outfit. you wanna do dark colors? oh the mood of this scene is about to be so dark colors. comic? bro i'll write the dialogue. that's part of why i've been so excited to write for tropefest! it's fun!!
so, a reverse bang, for the uninitiated, is exactly this: a big bang where artists pitch, and then writers select from those prompts.
they are cool and we should do them. thank you for listening to my ted talk. (who am i kidding this is definitely tedx)

long overdue for a diary post + updates about various artistic projects and things. so that's what this is
Tumblr media
been suuuuper low energy lately due to a complete change in scenery for summer break so my schedule has pretty much been waking up way late -> work on comic -> stay up too late -> repeat, which is not a great way to live I'll be honest but there isn't much to do... here... that and for as long as this thing isn't done and Posted it is going to continue to haunt me as a roadblock to working on other, more original things. why did I do this to myself? god only knows.
that aside things are coming along relatively well, to anyone who is still waiting on a commission know that I have not forgotten about you and there are about 6 still in the queue that I plan on getting to Soon. otherwise I'm 14 pages deep into [TITLE TBA D&D&MD COMIC THAT SOME PEOPLE ALREADY KNOW THE NAME OF] so that's about 7 pages left to finish. from there it's a matter of packing it up nicely into a PDF with some snazzy cover art and then releasing it through itch. this'll be my first time doing this but I've done a little messing around with compiling a different, shorter comic I Also plan on selling (some indeterminate time after posting the d&d&md one) and I think it should work relatively smoothly. fingers crossed.
good news is, these latest pages are the best looking ones visually. I plan on going back and very quickly messing with the color/hue values in the first few pages because they're a little too yellow for my taste now but other than that I'll leave them alone, otherwise I'd drive myself insane.
Tumblr media
worth noting I'm using a free online site called Sejda to edit the PDFs which worked well for the other one but seems to be giving me problems with the sizing of these pages. could just be a skill issue + the website not being the most user-friendly, but I'm really hesitant to buy adobe acrobat due to, you know, not wanting to give adobe any money unless I really Really have to. if anyone knows a good low cost or free alternative please hit me up btw.
comic and commissions aside I'm also involved in a zine you may have seen floating around if you like gf... slowly but surely putting things together for that, I need to start actually sketching ideas out instead of just writing them down but one step at a time I suppose. look forward to it ^_^
after all that... well I'll be in college, and back in a city, so I'll probably be Very preoccupied again. but hopefully I can divert all my free time to working on escape velocity. yayyyy

how to build a chair........... director's cut ∠( ᐛ 」∠)__ this is about to be a very long very self-indulgent post where i just talk about my own writing. i also doodled on all the pages i think it makes the whole thing more fun to go thru. welcome to my ted talk
Tumblr media
SIKE before i begin. credit where credit is due, this post was the start of it all. it changed my brain chemistry my jaw was dropped i was in awe i was obsessed and before i even finished it i knew that i would eventually have to make something similar for the commander or else i would be cursed to think about it for the rest of my life. and i Was cursed for like two years every day i would just be like........ is today the day i sit down and draft the commander chair fic of my dreams....... maybe tomorrow......
and then i got accepted as a writer for the gw2 zine ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ the chair idea was actually my backup option in case my first idea didn't pan out, and thank god it didn't, bc this one worked so much better. (still working on my initial idea, just turning it into a full fic! it was wayyy too long to be a zine submission.)
this is the chair i used. i downloaded the assembly instructions and tried out a bunch of different free pdf editors until i found one i liked, which ended up being sedja. if anyone's interested in doing something like this, i recommend printing out the pdf and writing directly on it! it was a lot easier for me to just figure out everything on paper first and then digitalize it after :P here's a picture of my physical copy
Tumblr media
okay actually getting into it for real this time !!!!!
1. yeah i could've just erased the ikea logo and left a blank space but then i realized i could turn it into an in-universe joke. and then i ran with it.
Tumblr media
2. i ripped this straight from the product description on the website. thanks ikea
Tumblr media
3. i'm not sure if anyone went and looked it up, but it's a real item code!
Tumblr media
hehe :3c
Tumblr media
4. if your commander willingly goes to therapy i'm happy for them but TO ME? you'd have to drag the commander kicking and screaming. it's not that they don't know that something is wrong with them, they know, and they know YOU know. you're just never supposed to talk about it. they don't look at their own psych eval results bc that's none of their business.
Tumblr media
5. i normally avoid specifying the commander's race when i write them bc i enjoy the challenge, but for the zine i was assigned to write about a norn commander! as a human main i was uhhhh very ill-equipped. but that just meant i had to study up on my norn lore (•̀ᴗ•́)و i spent hours on the wiki, then went around interviewing norn mains for their opinions, which was great fun :D it all helped me narrow the focus of my piece: joining the war on commander objectification on the side of commander objectification (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡ and no one self-aggrandizes quite like the norn commander!
and to balance that i knew my narrator had to be patronizing as shitttt. they've clearly been following the commander since the beginning and seem to know a lot of intimate details about their life, despite not thinking very highly of them. wonder who that could be :3c
Tumblr media
6. i can't stop making references. so the original part number is actually #122620 in the manual but i've changed it here (and on the previous page!) to #082812, as in 08/28/12, the date gw2 was released! no real reason for it, @dalennaugw suggested it for funsies and i liked it. if you're my pal and i show you a wip and you have a cool idea for it, chances are i Will put that shit in. hi dale if you're reading this
Tumblr media
7. another thing about me. i loveeee repetition. here the word "over" is repeated four times to match the picture. honestly a lot of the creative process for this piece was just staring at the pages and figuring out how to tie the pictures to the commander in ways that weren't extremely corny or trite. idk why i enjoy writing like this when i could be frolicking in the beautiful prosaic meadows of a word doc instead but. it's like i see a tiny little restrictive box and i'm like OH BOY can't wait to think inside of that thing!!! i like when the format matters just as much as the content and in some cases informs the content. am i making any sense here. well all you need to know is that i'm a virgo and my favorite book is house of leaves
Tumblr media
7. aw fuck just realized i wrote 7 twice. whatever i'm not changing it this is 7 part two now. the theme of my piece is glory, what it means to the norn commander, and how far they're willing to go for it.
Tumblr media
8. does norn culture place emphasis on seeking individual glory Yes are norn also very community-oriented Also Yes. i think it's common to see norn kids napping together in a big pile, usually after they've worn themselves out playing games outside. it makes sense practically (apes together warm) and socially (pack bonding good) but that's just my hc. growing up i used to share a bed with my cousins all the time so it's normal to me.
a young, naive not-yet-commander, with no real combat experience, has no point of reference to compare a "blaze of glory" to. but the way everyone talks about it, it must be a good thing. a wonderful thing. a reward fit for a life well-fought and a legend hard-earned. so they imagine it must feel like falling asleep surrounded by the people they love, who love them in turn.
Tumblr media
9. .........i was playing a lot of ace attorney when i wrote this page. i wish i was joking 👍🏼
Tumblr media
10. ohhh shit the truth come OUT this whole chair thing was all a ploy just so i could write about the departing. again.
Tumblr media
will i ever stop thinking about her. reply hazy, try again later.
11. out of all the pages, this one has the most emphasis on text placement, like comparing the enlarged picture of the screw to a sword, the numbers counting the screws, and "up up up" being arranged to mimic a wisp of smoke.
i also wanted to lean into the viking/norse mythology influences with my word choice.
Tumblr media
12. more nods to norn culture. i didn't know they referred to the six human gods as "spirits of action" until i was doing the research for this piece :O
and the domain of the lost is called a hall of ghosts....... cause valhalla.....
13.
Tumblr media
i'm sorry this so funnyyy. SAYS the guy who literally clawed their way back to life for a rematch.
me when i'm in a sore loser competition and my opponent is the COMMANDER!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
14. arms as in "limbs" and also arms as in "armaments" :•]
15. haha get it because the picture makes it look like there are two mirrored speech bubbles while the text paints two opposing interpretations of the norn commander. one that's selfless and humble versus one that's selfish and vainglorious.
16. and the best part is IT DOESN'T MATTER which one is true bc at the end of the day no matter what their motivation, balthazar is dead by their hand. ofc i'm of the opinion that the most compelling interpretation of the commander is both, simultaneously. contradictions are good for the soul.
Tumblr media
17. i could've name-dropped kas, the only person present that would do something like that, but i felt it was better to leave it ambiguous.
18. low-hanging fruit. the metaphor was so obvious here but i had to do it. for the culture
19. the alternate title for this piece was "THIS COULD BE GLORY". "how to build a chair" was only supposed to be a placeholder title til i figured out a better one, but the innocuousness of it grew on me. also i came up with the other one too late and had already advertised under the chair title lol
Tumblr media
20. my first instinct was to end it with something more reassuring, like "what you have built so far is enough" but that would've been an ooc switch-up for a narrator who has been nothing but snide and detached this whole time. gotta stick to my guns
21.
Tumblr media
obligatory chair joke as the last line. for realsies though it’s meant to be an earnest appeal to the commander to take a break, to have a seat, but it’s also a challenge. are they willing to lean on their friends? are the bonds they’ve forged strong enough to hold their weight? are they willing to put their faith in someone else’s hands? are they brave enough to try? well. only one way to find out.
also guess what that wasn’t even the real last page of the manual. it's THIS
Tumblr media
but no way i was letting this be the image we ended on. IT LOOKS LIKE A DICK AND BALLS!!!
and on that note, THANK YOU if you made it this far!! a very special shout-out to @hawkepockets, my lovely boyfriend and beta reader, without whom this piece would not be nearly as polished. i would bring him pages to look over and he would say Scrap half of those lines you can do better than that. kill your darlings. i would complain and argue for a few minutes then we would revise. rinse and repeat until we had honed this thing to perfection. i can't stress enough the importance of having a second pair of eyes on your work throughout your creative process, even better if it's someone who challenges you. i don't even pay him 🫶🏼
and if there was anything i didn't cover that you still have questions about, please feel free to shoot me an ask! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡ thanks for reading! see u later dudes ;P

My posts
I am still struggling with the fifth Silent Hill 2 commentary; the video I recorded last week (4/30) also isn't usable. Like, maybe I'll post it on Patreon as an extra at some point, but it is not the level of excellence we strive for here at Cleolinda Industries. Within hours of that, April's parting shot was to knock me down with another head cold, BUT, now that I have escaped its grip (April's, not the cold's. I'm still sick), I may have solved my OBS problems. I DON'T KNOW. WE LIVE IN HOPE.
Meanwhile, Ian's off in fuckin' Brookhaven Hospital. IT'S. FINE. (I'm in the chat, we figure out some good stuff about the lore, it's a good time.) Also, at the top of his stream, he had sound engineer Andy Sudol on to talk about the differences between the 2001 and 2024 soundtracks.
Signal boost while we're talking about games: I'm doing really well on light combat in SH2, except for when my neuropathy acts up and my fingers just decide they don't want to participate anymore (it's a good bet this has happened if I start screaming "JAMES WHAT ARE YOU DOING??"), so these mods and resources for disabled gamers caught my eye.
Reblogs of interest

Y'all, I don't know what's going on with Pinterest, but don't breathe too hard right now. An update from Reddit: More news outlets are reporting the sudden mass ban wave these last two weeks
My personal question: how does it actually BENEFIT companies to make their product unusable, though? I understand the answer, and yet, as a person who can think more than five seconds ahead into the future, I completely do not understand the answer.
This question was also partly inspired by Polygon getting sold/gutted, in the sense of this Reddit reply.
Oh, I wasn't even thinking of Duolingo asserting itself as an "AI-first" company even as people complain that the quality of the app has plunged, so fuck them too I guess

It's already 2024, and I think now I'm free to post my comic submission from Aruani Anthology.
But, instead of posting the full version, I'll just drop some of my favorite panels here (hehe sorry 🥲)...
Tumblr media
🧡💛 They're holding hands 🥰🧡💛
Tumblr media
🧡💛 They're eating ice cream 🍦🥰 (And this one is CANON!!) 🧡💛
Tumblr media
🧡💛 The first time they watched a movie together in a theater (?) 🥹🥹🧡💛
Tumblr media
🧡💛 Going on a date to the carnival and riding the Merry go Round 🥹🥹🧡💛
Tumblr media
🧡💛 Looking at your life partner with affectionate eyes (while looking at the starry sky) 🥹🥹🧡💛
Tumblr media
🧡💛 I'm a bit confused giving a description for this part (lmao sorry 😭😭) but I really love drawing this scene so much (this one when Armin doubts himself because he doesn't have much time for Annie and Annie tries to convince him that it's not true) 🧡💛
Tumblr media
🧡💛 they're promised that when everything was over (you know about ambassadors and other stuffs) they would explore the world together (this is actually a bit cringe, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH 😭😭)
And accidentally (or just think so lmao) my short comic in Aruani Zine is kind of a continuation from this one🧡💛
And that's it!
Maybe next year I'll drop my submission of some of my favorite comic panels from Aruani Zine.

Lightbox Expo 2023 is over!! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the table. I can't believe I sold out of both my sketchbooks AND my digimon fanbook... (multiple prints too?!)! I'm incredibly grateful... I will have a 2nd print run of both sketchbooks and online orders for the digimon book up in the next couple weeks so please keep an eye out for that!
More gushing abt the weekend under the cut
I sell at an average of idk... 3-4 events a year? So I would consider myself a frequent congoer though not necessarily full time lol. I'm a little jaded like it's not that I don't enjoy going to cons but theres definitely a bunch that feel like just-another-con-weekend to me lol, sometimes it's more work than play I guess. But this con felt really different! For the first time in a while I left a convention feeling really thrilled and giddy that I had been there. The kind of feeling I used to get when I would table at anime cons in highschool! And I think a lot of that is the people I met and talked to and the overall vibes at the event. Oh also I literally just had surgery and going to this con is like the only thing ive done this week besides lay in bed and play Story of Seasons on the nintendo switch and I thought I would be in pain and miserable but actually I HAD SO MUCH FUN...!!!! even when i skipped after-hours socializing every night to go home early and sleep 12 hours lol. SO ANYWAYS. YEAH. IT'S CORNY. BUT I wanna say thank you again to everyone who stopped by the table. Especially all the coworkers and long time mutuals who I met in person for the first time this weekend!! And the long time followers who told me they have been following me since homestuck or naruto or whenever. And college classmates who I haven't seen since graduation, crazy talented underclassmen who I'd never met but stopped by to say hi... So many people who absolutely made my day. SPECIAL thank you to my table partner Emi who is the best and such a good sport and accommodating to the point that I feel ridiculous when she thanks me for anything. And um also thank you to the artists who were cool and nice when I went up to their tables and blurted out 24917596 compliments in rapid succession. or only got one really awkward compliment out to LMAO... I felt so inspired and awe struck by everyone's work! God it was just so cool to be there. I LOVE ART....
Ok yeah thats it. its been a while since ive written a post-con blog post so earnestly lol.. here's my obscene haul photo I was buying stuff at this con like I was dying and couldn't take it with me LMAO.
Tumblr media
I'm not gonna go tag everyone because I don't think everyones on tumblr but if you dont mind doing a little google search legwork: big x-men prints from chase conley, prints from jacki li/bguavas, azusa tojo, xanthe bouma, nicodaboy, susan yung, hormstuck, nessa tweneboah, linda liu, ash tahilan, zines also from jason dwyer, ash tahilan, aprilyn cunanan, veggiecakeface, deb lee, dune5and, uhh yoichi nishikawa art book and parakid calendar, stickers again from ash, marie lum, hormstuck, chiou, and emi hartana/crowlets OKAY I THINK I COVERED EVERYTHING THANKS FOR READING

Here's 100 of the albums from 2024 that i''ve enjoyed the most: 50 hip hop records, and 50 albums in other genres. There's still a ton of stuff I haven't gotten to yet or need to revisit, but i'm feeling pretty good about this and don't think too much would change aside from the order. Insane year for music overall, and surely there will still be some big releases in the next two months. Biggest surprise for me was definitely The Cure making a comeback after almost two decades and putting out their best album since Wish. I'm also convinced that Robert Smith is an actual vampire. he still sounds great after all this time. Charts with album titles included Again, i'm sure there's plenty of stuff that has gone under the radar for me so as always i'm open to recommendations. Let me know what your favorite records are, i'd genuinely like to know. I'll post the list of albums below, and maybe at the end of the year will do some kind of spotify playlist with one or two songs from each. Peace.

511. Seventeen Magazine, May 1996
Tumblr media
It's the Summer of 1996: so you know what that means: we're still listening to TLC. Waterfalls may of been played out from the previous Summer, but we still had Diggin On You.
Tumblr media
Oh this is hands down one of my favorite scents.
Tumblr media
Girl, no dermatologist office is going to be open the morning of prom (I assume they mean that morning since I see a "2pm" in the photo) to get a cortisone shot in your pimple. Sometimes these teen magazines would be so delusional with their advice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ohh this was when everybody started copying The Body Shop! Did you know we don't even have Body Shop anymore here in the United States? Can't even get it from Ulta, all they have left is one sad coconut body scrub. Back when my skin could handle lotion, I always used their body butters.
Tumblr media
Here's those colorful pages I loved so much as a kid. I wanted those lucite rings so bad, but being a ~fat kid~ they never fit me. Where I lived, girls would get them from the hair store.
Tumblr media
I had no clue that Tocca began as a clothing line. I only know them for their perfumes.
Tumblr media
I had so many teddy bear/bunny backpacks. I never had the Big Boy though!
Tumblr media
This is shot for shot of a (kinda artsy and dramatic) Diet Coke commercial. Also, I'm drinking a Diet Coke while compiling this. Because I always am.
Tumblr media
I studied this ad a million times growing up, I thought it was kinda corny. Like, "dude, you need to study and stop taking stupid pictures of your shoe", but now as an adult I'm looking at this and thinking "...is that Steve Burns from Blue's Clues?" I also can't help but think that ads like this lured me away from even thinking about college when I was in high school. I thought I was too dumb to handle an all nighter. Turns out, I was right. When I was 26 years old, I barely graduated from college .
Tumblr media
Those videos kids took 29 years ago are now uploaded by their kids to TikTok.
Tumblr media
While most of these survived, I don't think drooler did. :-). .
Tumblr media
This toothbrush bracelet lives in my brain rent free nearly 30 years later. I still want to make it. I'm an adult now, I can do it. I would probably have to buy a deadstock toothbrush off of eBay to get the sparkily effect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Man, did that interview keep comparing David to Ross. Am I rite? Also, Reese never graduated from Stamford.
Tumblr media
This just confirms it for me that Sketchers have always been ugly.
Tumblr media
Oh these were so good. I'm actually thinking about writing a zine soon about the low fat craze of the mid 90s. I'm still in the toying around part.
Tumblr media
This is actually just maybe the one Mickey Unlimited outfit I've ever liked from these ads. Most of them just look like you're wearing elementary school clothes in high school.
Tumblr media
Spoiler alert: these no longer smelled. I remember one of these Salon Selectives fragrances not smelling good though. Maybe it was the kiwi jasmine.
Tumblr media
I thought Amy had a real tattoo...
Tumblr media
...and I thought this is what I was going to look like at my first real job.
Tumblr media
Same girl, same. I would sit in the dark with my lava lamp on and cry about the upcoming last day of school.
Tumblr media
I'll never forget you, leotard period pain lady.
Tumblr media
ooo this hairstyle was a little ahead of its time.

@the anon who sent me the long message concerning some other blogs on tumblr:
i will not be outright publishing the anon, because i haven’t had the time or the personal mental capability to look into the things mentioned within the ask.
i will say that i am neither mutuals nor do i follow either of the blogs mentioned (i haven’t actually heard of them) ; i do try and check out people before following and even though i do write dark content, i have personal boundaries and moral boundaries. racism, homophobia, fatphobia etc would not be tolerated by me (and honestly i’m not sure anyone who was those things would last long here!). i thank you for bringing it to my attention but please rest assured that my blog is a heavily liberal space!
i might be writing gross and abhorrent stuff, but i like to think i am not a gross or abhorrent person!
for anyone else who wants to be aware, i have copied and pasted the message that i received under the cut:
(please be aware some very heavy topics are mentioned)

Anonymous asked:
I have some really important information that may concern you and a blogger on Tumblr that I think you might know of, or could be mutuals with…
This was an anon send in that can be found on running-with-kn1ves blog…
“Ew, you're collaborating with a white supremacist's best friend?
Just a heads up, but fangdokja-anon has been called out by multiple authors here for being homophobic, fatphobic, and racist, as well as making multiple problematic posts (like wanting to write about genocide and infant SA). The only person who publicly supported her was yanderedrabbles who praised her in the comments and even made a post to defend her friendship.
It's your choice to have her as a writer for the zine, but please make it public knowledge so people can at least opt out. I myself won't sign up to share space with a bigot.”
Then there was this follow up post by the same anon, who goes into detail of the issues above…
“Sorry for the sudden accusatory ask, I'm one of the people who unfollowed yanderedrabbles after she openly expressed her support for the homophobe and I was annoyed to see her acting so careless on another blog I follow. I guess she's hoping we'll just forget about it at some point and keeps quiet on her main.
Here's the first post where she explained in many empty words she doesn't care about the issue because the blog has been nice to her and they're friends: https://www.tumblr.com/yanderedrabbles/780435897593315328/hi-idk-if-your-mutuals-with-fangdokja-but-shes?source=share
The problematic post on fangdokja-anon blog has since been deleted or removed, but I have a screenshot of yanderedrabbles commenting on it with ‘THATS why your pro pic went all blurry when I logged in. Literally freaked me out so bad. I'm glad to see you reorganising fang! Gonna learn to use AO3 just for you 😘’ while the rest of us were freaking out at the atrocities mentioned.
Instead of coming out and telling us why she chose to publicly support someone who fetishizes stuff like concentration camps and pedophilia she's all giddy about writing for a yandere magazine, like we're dumbasses who'll just swallow up any content. The audacity is amazing.”
Since this all seems to be true please reconsider any relationship you have with yanderedrabbles and fangdokja-anon

Okay so
Tumblr media
Don't usually make posts like this but I thought the convenience of this was funny enough to make it's own post.
I will not lie to you I've considered joking about the idea of a Junkan Zine as just something to yap about during one of my rambling sessions on this blog, partially because I recently had a Tokomaru Zine (+trinkets) delivered to me.
I'm not the kind of person who's mentally equipped to organize that king of thing thing, the fact that this account runs as smoothly as it does is a miracle quite frankly. That would have to be done by someone far more ambitious than I'll ever be (which yes I know sounds silly as hell considering what i'm doing here, along with also the things I have done for this project that aren't seen yet).
But y'know if someone like that does appear out of nowhere-
I'm not saying I'd jump on supporting that like a ravenous animal, but I'm also not saying I wouldn't dslfhasdljfhsd.
And in regards to a potential Junkan Week
If that's something ya'll would actually be interested in participating in after the 100 Days event has reached it's completion. (which again if I read my times right, will be January 9th), say below in the comments and responses. Or do the same on Day 29 since that's where the idea was first brought up. I would LOVE to do that quite frankly!~ To the point that I might even do it even if it's just me lfsajhsldfa. We'll see how i feel in . . . 71 days.
A Junkan Month might be a bit excessive but I've done a similar thing on an event I ran called Bobovember which was probably even more niche than this. So bare minimum I think I could pull it off despite the amount of effort it'd take. However whether ya'll wanna join in as well is up to you, so again yap below if it sounds enticing!
