Remember when Minami Minegishi shave her head to appease fans cause she was caught leaving her boyfriend house like has jpop improved only slightly but not by much and as someone who was a fan of Johnny groups well there a lot to unpack like tz are so normal and are seen regularly it not even funny
oh, god. Minami's apology video where she was crying with a shaved head is forever etched in my mind. SHE WAS LITERALLY JUST 20 YRS OLD BACK THEN. at the time of that scandal, I had already moved on from my jpop phase so I knew how vile that industry was and yet hearing about it still gutted me. because it was yet another proof that much of the burden when those scandals break out fall on the woman. and people, especially in Korea and Japan where sexism is as rampant as ever, are much, much more cruel on the woman.
I'm sure it's still not easy what Tom and Zendaya are going through because of the level of their fame, but at least they don't live in a world of dating bans and public apologies for just...being in love 😭

Collar X Malice ~UNLIMITED~ Seiji Minegishi Route PRIDE Translations (Part 1)
Translator’s note : MC’s name shall remain as my normal (ラン) Spoiler FREE : Translations under cut !
Ran Hoshino: Yes, this is the Special regions crime prevention office speaking.
Male: Oh, hello! I can go through this line regarding any inquires about the X-Day incident, right?
Male: I've heard that the isolative measures that have been placed onto Shinjuku will be lifted soon, but...When will that happen!?
Ran Hoshino: Oh...I'm afraid that I can't disclose the exact date at this present moment in time.
Ran Hoshino: My apologies, but if you could wait for the official announcement to pass...
Ran Hoshino: ...Yes, that's right. Of course, understood. This is behind the 6th district's park, yes?
Old Lady: I'm really sorry about this, Hoshino-san. I don't want to be viewed as odd in the eyes of my neighbours but, I just can't help but to be concerned...
Ran Hoshino: No, not at all. Every little bit of information you provide will ultimately help in crime prevention of the area.
Ran Hoshino: Please feel free to contact us again if you find anything amiss.
Old Lady: Yes, thank you. I'll be leaving it to you then.
Ran Hoshino: Urgency: Low. Location: Shinjuku District 6. Classification: Suspicious person...There.
It has already been 2 months since we nabbed the perpetrators involved in X-Day; 2 months since the destruction of Adonis.
And those of us in the Shinjuku station spent the end of the year post-processing and cleaning up the mess it left behind all the way through the New Years.
But in all honestly, truth to be told... The SRCPO's job hasn't changed significantly from the past, much unlike the other departments.
We mainly deal with minor reports detailing minor offenses on a day-to-day basis and gathering all information related to X-Day.
Working alongside the Life Safety Division, we strive towards attaining regional security and crime prevention. Our goal and the amount of work we do is no different now.
Ran Hoshino: Whew...
I looked up after entering all the records from our conversation and saw Mochida-senpai crack his neck a couple of times before he made to stand up and leave his seat.
Masanobu Mochida: How about you take a break now, Hoshino? I see that the wave of reports have finally calmed down.
Ran Hoshino: Good work, Mochida-senpai. There were really a lot of them today.
Masanobu Mochida: Yeah. During the X-Day Incident, I was always thought to myself about how I wanted to resolve the case as soon as possible and free myself from the daily madness of being kept busy everyday, but...
Masanobu Mochida: I never would have thought that I'd be even busier after we finally managed to wrap the case up.
Ran Hoshino: I think that just goes to show how much everyone's getting jittery in their boots waiting for the quarantine to lift.
Ran Hoshino: Even the calls I got today! 60% of them were all regarding the matter of when the quarantine ban was to be lifted!
Masanobu Mochida: I'm about the same as you in that aspect. "I want to make a bullet train reservation, so could I please know the date of when the quarantine ban will be lifted?"
Mochida-senpai replied with a bitter smile.
There's a platform specifically meant for those enquiries, we are faced with a situation where everyone is more concerned about special defence measures due to X-Day.
While I'm glad that our direct hotline is becoming more widely known, it's quite a challenge deciding if special defence can handle the enquires and redirecting them elsewhere.
Ran Hoshino: Seems like it'll take a while for the system to calm down...Still, I feel like the number of calls have drastically reduced now.
Masanobu Mochida: It's been 10 months since Adonis made their first statement...This just goes to show that everyone is able to have a peace of mind now that the turbulent times are over.
Ran Hoshino: ............
The case is over.
Rolling the words over the tip of my tongue, I turned and fixtated my gaze at the window.
Ran Hoshino: ...Mochida-senpai. The X-Day Incident is truly over, right?
Masanobu Mochida: What's with that out of the blue?
Masanobu Mochida: Of course, not everything has been solved. We'd have caught all the suspects if that were so.
Masanobu Mochida: Adonis has been destroyed and the isolation ban, lifted. I think it's fine to say it's done and over with for now.
Ran Hoshino: ...I guess you're right.
My hands ghosted over my neck, feeling the skin there despite no longer feeling the weight of the collar.
I could only feel the warmth radiating from my skin through the material of my shirt.
Gone was the feeling of the restrictive and cold collar that had used to be there.
Ran Hoshino: (I guess I should count my lucky stars that I'm still able to continue my line of work in the police...)
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
--Last year, December.
A collar had been placed upon my being by Adonis. The day that we were threatened by the coming of X-Day.
[We'll kill you if you tell the police]
Bound by those words, I was forced to rely on on others, those not of the police. Investigating in secret.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
But the X-Day Incidents continued on, the victims increasing by the day.
Even if we managed to catch the perpetrators, their memories were erased. We were utterly helpless.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
Stuck, I made my decision then. --I'd tell the police everything.
It was inevitable that I'd become a burden to the police, to get the collar off and to solve the case. Of course, with it came the fact that my life itself was also endangered.
We still managed to remove the collar in the end thanks to the help of Sasazuka-kun and co. And above all...
We were able to nab Adonis thanks to the trust that the Investigation Headquarters had in my words.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
They took my actions in stride, choosing to go along with my choices rather than to abandon me.
It is only with thanks to a good many others that I am now able to stay on as a police officer.
Ran Hoshino: (That's right...There's no longer any need for me to fear my death, no need for me to be afraid that today might be the day I breathe my last.)
I was finally able to let go of that one fear of mine now that Adonis has been destroyed.
And the city of Shinjuku too.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
My throat's going to get wrecked by winter if I'm to continue picking up calls all morning.
I've still got some time...I should go get some tea and lozenges before my break ends.
Someone called out to me, just as I headed out with that intention in mind.
???: Good work today, Hoshino-san.
Ran Hoshino: Oh, Minegishi-san. Good work today. I didn't know that you were coming over today.
Seiji Minegishi: Yes, I came to see how the Investigation Headquarters' faring.
Seiji Minegishi: I have to show my face around here once in a while since I am the commissioner after all. Otherwise, people will start questioning my position.
Minegishi Seiji, the individual overseeing the X-Day case back in the Investigation Headquarters.
He was always stuck around the Shinjuku station, giving out commands during the incident.
Since the case has been closed and marked solved, he's now more often found in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department now that things have settled down.
So, it's been about three days since I last saw his face around here.
Ran Hoshino: You're going back and forth the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department now, right?
Seiji Minegishi: Yes, I have some other cases to handle now that the X-Day Incident is more or less resolved.
Seiji Minegishi: What about you, Hoshino-san...? How's everything after that ordeal?
Ran Hoshino: Well, the reports regarding that matter has reduced considerably. But, I can't help but to feel that the dams holding in the public's anxiety has been broken...
Seiji Minegishi: Ah...Yes, while that is also a cause for concern, I'm actually asking about you, yourself.
Ran Hoshino: Huh?
Seiji Minegishi: Because you're the only one who Adonis has "allowed to live" despite being in direct contact with them.
Ran Hoshino: Oh...
My hand unconciously reached up to my neck.
We have yet to find the perpetrator who had placed the collar on me.
Despite the fact that they had ran away, we can't ignore the possibility of them returning.
It was natural for him to harbour doubts. Realizing his apparently concern, I adverted my eyes and turned away.
Ran Hoshino: Nothing much has changed...
Minegishi-san had widened his eyes in response before a wry smile formed on his face.
Seiji Minegishi: ...I apologise. It wasn't my intention to corner you between a wall and a hard place, I was just concerned about your mental state.
Ran Hoshino: Come again?
Seiji Minegishi: A good many things happened throughout the incident. So...When you really think about it, I don't think you can say that you have a peace of mind yet.
Ran Hoshino: No, I'm fine and well. ...I've really must have been a hassle to you. I thank you for all the help and consideration you have extended to me.
Seiji Minegishi: It wasn't me at all, no. I didn't do anything. In fact, I think Sasazuka-kun and the rest were the ones who had truly managed to help your cause.
Ran Hoshino: Oh, yes. Of course. I was just about to go visit them again.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
The odd combination of a group of people who had left the police force for one reason or another, working together to uncover the secrets of the X-Day case. ——Also known as the "Investigation Headquarters".
They had all separated ways and continued down their own paths in lives after the X-Day case had been closed. I was indebted to them.
And Sasazuka-san, who had just recently re-joined the force had gone back to the Metropolitan Police Department.
I heard that Enomoto-san and Yanagi-san we're both struggling to run a full-fledged detective agency on their own, a 2-man team.
And I've also heard that Shiraishi-san had taken a long vacation, disappearing off to god knows where...
Just recalling their individual faces made nostalgia well up within me.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
Ran Hoshino: It certainly does feel a little odd. To think that the case was closed just 2 months ago...
Seiji Minegishi: Heh, well you're absolutely right. It doesn't quite strike you as reality, seeing as how the quarantine ban has yet to be lifted as of yet.
Seiji Minegishi: I'm sure the citizens feel the same way too.
Ran Hoshino: I think so too. Most of the calls we've been receiving are more often than not citizens who are voicing their concerns.
Seiji Minegishi: ...In any case, there has been no reoccurring cases ever since Adonis was shut down despite there being remanants of them lurking about.
Ran Hoshino: Yes, but on the contrary...
Ran Hoshino: ............
Seiji Minegishi: Hoshino-san?
He looked at me curiously, noting the slight hesitance on my end.
Softly prompted by him, I opened my mouth once more to speak my mind.
Ran Hoshino: Crime rates have actually fallen as of late and there are lesser large-scale crimes that aren't related to Adonis. I'm sure the statistics show as such too.
Ran Hoshino: "Because Adonis had become a deterrent".
...That's right. It's been quite the hot topic on the internet recently. So much that most people actually agree on this as a whole.
Adonis had simply brought justice onto whom they deemed evil in their eyes.
Of course, their the whys and wherefores of their actions were unacceptable, but still...
Weren't they rather effective? They made criminals afraid of commiting criminal acts. They feared that they'd be next to face the brunt of it all.
The plausibility of that story is still being widely discussed over the net even now.
Seiji Minegishi: I see. So you're saying that there's a dwindling rate of crime thanks to Adonis?
Ran Hoshino: It feels rather conflicting when you actually read about someone justificating Adonis...
Ran Hoshino: Even though Adonis should be no doubt, evil in terms of legal and human rights--
Seiji Minegishi: Well, they're not exactly wrong either. It is a fact that Adonis does exact justice, in a sense.
Ran Hoshino: Eh...!? Seiji Minegishi: It is without a doubt that those whom they've disposed of did have some shady business.
Seiji Minegishi: But ethics aside, I think they exact justice on those people because they believe that they're right.
Ran Hoshino: But...Their actions are only lynching and nothing else!
Ran Hoshino: The school bombings and net-game killings, even if it's for revenge, it's still no reason to cause deaths across the board!
I've never had such a mindset for vengeance, not one that'd drive me to such viciousness.
That's why I can also never understand just how hurt and broken the suspects are.
That being said, this country still has it's laws. You'll only be denying the police's existence if you let them go scot-free like that.
Ran Hoshino: I don't think that such a terrible sight is justice at all...
There are many videos up on the net. I clenched my fist, recalling how bloody it was.
He gave a small chuckle in reply.
Seiji Minegishi: ...It's exactly as you say, Hoshino-san. Their judging criterias are way too general and vague that one may find it subjective.
Seiji Minegishi: If everyone could exact their own revenge, the vicious cycle will only continue to no end.
Ran Hoshino: ...You're right.
Seiji Minegishi: So even if Adonis was upholding and exacting justice as they deemed fit...
Seiji Minegishi: They are still to become outlaws of this country for passing judgement against the law.
Slow but steady, the evil will grow.
Minegishi-san placed his hand upon my shoulder, a small smile on his lips.
Seiji Minegishi: Seems like we had a misunderstanding. I don't agree with Adonis' way of handling things.
Seiji Minegishi: It's just that, I'm sure...That there a still a handful of people out there who still believe in their version of justice.
Seiji Minegishi: Even if Adonis is destroyed now, there's no denying the possibility of a second or third Adonis being created due to them.
Seiji Minegishi: ...And that's precisely why we must strive to understand how and why people sympathise and agree with Adonis on that matter.
Ran Hoshino: Right... You do have a point.
Seiji Minegishi: Have more confidence in yourself. You did the right thing.
Ran Hoshino: Thank you...
Previously looking at me in encouragement, his eyes slid close as he smiled.
Thinking about it, this might actually be the first time we've talked together so closely.
Feeling unrest, I opened my mouth to speak again.
Ran Hoshino: You're amazing.
Ran Hoshino: You're always so logical about things. I guess you're reliable and that's a relief.
Seiji Minegishi: Haha. Well, the subordinates wouldn't know what to believe if even the boss' blur as a squid.
He laughed at his own joke before jolting up, as if he had just remembered something.
Seiji Minegishi: You say I'm "amazing", but... I think you're the amazing one here.
Ran Hoshino: Amazing? Me?
Seiji Minegishi: Of course. Do you not remember how you were collared during the X-Day incident, putting your life at stake...
Seiji Minegishi: Any normal person, regardless of whether they're a police officer will have been used as a spy to get them leaks on inside info.
Seiji Minegishi: But you managed to put up a resistance till the very end, even going so far as to sacrifice your being. Not everyone's capable of that.
Seiji Minegishi: But more than anything else...We were able to control the Adonis situation thanks to your trust in the police and it's top brass.
Ran Hoshino: No, I should be the one saying that. It was thanks to the trust you and the rest of the Investigation Headquarters had in me.
Ran Hoshino: I was only able to get out of that precarious situation thanks to all of your instructions on how I should proceed with that collar on me,
Seiji Minegishi: ...How humble, not to mention, how stubborn.
Ran Hoshino: Sorry. But it's a fact that I didn't do anything...
Ran Hoshino: This all happened only because they didn't decide to kill me first, right off the bat. I mean even I'd have no choice but to comply
Ran Hoshino: if they told me that "We'll kill you if you refuse to become a spy for us right now".
Seiji Minegishi: That seems plausible. Truth to be told, it is your courage and judgement that has brought peace to Shinjuku as it is right now.
Seiji Minegishi: I was probably able to lead this case to it's closure only because the collar was on you.
That being said, being told as such tickles me a a little on the sides and I can't help being humble.
I just so happened to have the collar forced upon me and managed to successfully close the case.
Unable to hold his gaze any longer, I found myself adverting my eyes from his.
Seiji Minegishi: ...But...
He trailed off.
Seiji Minegishi: Why were you the one they chose?
Ran Hoshino: What?
Seiji Minegishi: ............
He stared at me, lips forming a frown as he pondered over something.
--Why was it me?
It was the very same question that had been circling through my head back then.
I couldn't see why it had to be me.
Ran Hoshino: Minegishi-san? Um-
Office Announcement: Calling for the Shinjuku Station's Special crime prevention. A report has come in from a public phone in a park at Shinjuku's 6th district.
Office Announcement: The caller sounds like a girl, reporting that she was going to be killed and managed to escape.
Office Announcement: All patrols in the vincinity are to head to the scene, immidietely. I repeat, a report has come in from Shinjuku's 6th district-
Ran Hoshino: That announcement!
Seiji Minegishi: Indeed. It's not time for a drawn-out conversation right now. I'll head to the Crime Department.
Ran Hoshino: Of course!

Content warning: violence, description of amputation, blood, abuse.
I’ll put the art to go along with this fic below the cut as well, just in case.
The bowl clattered to the floor, turning over and spilling its steaming contents. Serizawa flinched at the sound, beginning to sob as the atmosphere in the cold barren room became heavier.
“Clean it up, Serizawa.” President Suzuki pointed to the ground.
“President, I-I can’t,” hot tears began to fall from Serizawa’s face as his body began to shake. The sore stumps where his arms and legs once were ached in their uselessness. “Without my power, I—“
Touichirou’s violent anger connected with Serizawa’s face in the form of his open hand, creating a loud whack that echoed off every surface in the room.
“It wasn’t a question.”
“Y-yes sir…” he tried in vain to stifle his sobs as he felt his eye begin to swell shut where it had been struck. His ear was ringing, an annoying high-pitched whine harmonizing with the throbbing beat of his pounding head.
“I’m not sending Minegishi to help you anymore. Figure it out, or no more medicine.”
“Yes, sir.” Serizawa hung his head in shame. The medication was the only thing that made his miserably day-to-day life bearable by numbing both his physical pain and his mental anguish. Given enough of it, he would wildly hallucinate; if he was lucky, someday Minegishi would give him enough to stop his heart.
He slumped to the floor and began to lick up the steaming gruel from the floor. It was disgusting, and the very act was humiliating—but without the use of his psychic power, and his limbs long gone, it was all he could do.
“Be serious, Serizawa.”
He looked up to see the fiery intensity of President Suzuki’s ire boring a hole through his skull.
“I… I’m trying, President.”
Returning his focus to the task at hand, crawling across the floor, stretching his neck out, the tip of his tongue tasting the blandness of the food and the salt of his own sweat—
The heel of the President’s shoe ground his face roughly into the floor.
“Who gave you permission to talk to me like that, Serizawa?”
“N-no one, sir,” the metallic taste of blood filled his mouth, flowing from his lips and nose. The shoe was mercifully lifted, only to be replaced by a hand—cold as steel, and just as unfeeling—gripping him, by the hair and pulling him upright.
“You seem to need more punishment.”
“No, please, no. Forgive me, President, please,” the apologies flowed from his mouth with as much ease as the blood. One of his eyes was completely swollen shut from the impact, tears flowing freely from the other, sobs and gasping breaths intertwining with desperate groveling, along with the steady drip-drip-drip of blood, sweat, tears, and saliva falling off the end of his chin onto the floor.
His head was slammed into the ground with enough force that he could practically feel his brain hitting the inside of his skull. He was once again lifted by the hair, tighter this time, most of his diminished body weight supported by it, the pulling sensation quickly becoming agony on overstimulated nerves.
“Pl’se, sir, ‘m s’ry,” he slurred, a fog coming over his brain, any control he had over his lips beginning to slip.
“What will it be this time, Serizawa?” The President’s voice was now a low whisper in his ear, seemingly calm—although the words betrayed his murderous intent. “Another shave? Have your scars healed from the last time, when you flinched and I couldn’t help but slit your throat? Maybe I could remove something else, an ear, your nose, some teeth?”
“N-no sir, pl—“ his head hit the floor again, three times in quick succession.
“Is that enough, Serizawa?”
He choked on the blood filling his mouth and nose, trying to respond, failing.
“Is it? Answer me, now.” President Suzuki growled in his ear, the grip on his hair tightening.
“Y-y…s…sir…”
“Very good.” He was dropped—no, tossed, like a discarded doll—to the floor. His side met the floor first, sharp pain blooming over already sore ribs. He struggled to breathe, so little energy left that he couldn’t even weep. His hearing became muffled as he felt someone roll him over, picking up his head, gingerly avoiding the blood beginning to mat his hair.
“Boss, this is… too much,” A new voice. Minegishi? Medicine. I need my medicine, please, Minegishi, please, he thought, his lips moving soundlessly.
“Hmph. He deserves it.” The door shut with a click as the sound of the President’s footsteps grew further and further away.
The room grew silent for a moment, save for the repressed sobs escaping Serizawa’s lips, chapped and bruised. Minegishi began to softly shush him once the President was certainly out of earshot. Serizawa felt himself slipping, desperately trying to collect his thoughts as they devolved into pain, pain pain pain, agony, it hurts, Mama, help. Help me. I didn’t mean to. I wanna go home. Fear. Fear fear pain. Please. Dizzy can’t breathe hurts too much. Sick throw up not enough energy. Can’t. Can’t do anything. Help.
“Don’t you think we should put a stop to this?” Serizawa flinched under Minegishi’s touch at the sudden introduction of a third voice.
“Don’t sneak up on me like that, Shimazaki.” The back of Minegishi’s hand came to rest on Serizawa’s forehead. His thoughts rose into a panic despite the gentleness of the touch, groaning, as fresh salty tears stung the cuts on his face.
“I know I’m one to talk, but it seems like it’s gone too far.”
Minegishi ceased shushing him for a moment. “Be my guest. You know my feelings on the matter already. Just know that we run the risk of suffering the same fate.”
Serizawa’s thoughts shrank further into blackness, quieting to a whisper, reduced to nothing but help help help help help help help.
“Well, we should at least clean him up. It stinks in here.”
“I can’t leave him in here, anyway. Not with the way this wound is bleeding.” Help help help. Hurts. Can’t breathe.
“Hey, Serizawa…”
“Ah, he’s out.”
Thoughts silent, face and body buzzing and tingling, the blessed painless sleep of unconsciousness washed over him, as the world and its agony faded away to nothing.
(The rest of the story was drawn by my friend @serizawa_addiction on instagram, so I won’t repost her work here--but if you like this kind of thing, you should check her out!)

for the prompts minehato for “We’re supposed to be working.” uwu
(( College AU where they still have psychic powers because I can do what I want))
Hatori sat on the rather thin mattress of his dorm bed, surrounded by papers and open textbooks. At some point while studying for a computer science midterm, he’d turned on his Switch for “just a quick game” of Tetris 99 that had turned into almost an hour long study break. Outside the grey early winter sky made Hatori sleepy, not in the mood to do any schoolwork anyway. After several late nights working, and procrastinating, the weight of impending exams just made him want to put off studying even more.
“We’re supposed to be working.”
Hatori looked up from his game at Minegishi, who’d had taken over his desk with their own schoolwork: textbooks, lab reports and other biology-related things. They didn’t seem to be studying either, judging from the way they leaned back in their chair, typing something on their phone.
“I’m taking a break,” Hatori said, turning most of his focus back to the game.
“You’ve been ‘taking a break’ for an hour,” Minegishi pointed out.
“And what have you been doing?”
“Studying. I’m taking my break now,” they said. They stood up and crossed the short distance between the bed and the desk, clearing Hatori’s laptop and some stray pens out of their way before flopping down right next to him.
Instantly, Hatori felt butterflies in his stomach. He and Minegishi had only been on one date, they had only been ‘official’ for a few weeks. Well, that was up for debate. They’d met within the first few weeks of college through mutual friends, and Hatori had been smitten almost instantly. So when Minegishi asked him on a date a few weeks ago he could barely answer, he was so tongue-tied. That hadn’t changed too much.
Minegishi leaned on him, wrapping their arms around his shoulders.
“What are you playing?”
“Tetris.”
“Tetris?”
“Competitive Tetris.”
“Hm,” Minegishi rested their head on his shoulder, pulling him a little closer. Hatori’s head spun. They smelled good, like grass after it rains, and they seemed so content snuggling up against him with practically all their weight. Were they always this affectionate?
“Are you using your technopathy?” Minegishi asked, mumbling a little against Hatori’s shoulder.
“Nah,” Hatori said.
“Have you ever used it on games?”
Hatori nodded, “Oh yeah, for sure.”
Minegishi huffed out a breath through their nose in an amused almost-laugh. That was about as close as they usually came to laughing, and Hatori found it cute.
“Do you want to play?” he asked.
“Sure.”
Hatori handed them the Switch and explained how the game worked. Minegishi was okay at it, but Hatori was distracted by the fact that they were leaning on each other, faces too close as they huddled around the tiny screen.
“You’re doing really well,” Hatori said. They weren’t close to the top, but they weren’t losing. And considering how fierce the competition could be, Hatori might’ve been a little impressed.
“Give me a boost.”
“No!” Hatori nudged them playfully, “You win or lose without psychic powers.”
Minegishi laughed. Not the usual dry, sardonic laugh either, but something genuine and legitimately filled with joy.
Hatori found himself staring, awestruck, feeling his own face grow hot. So close, he could lean in just a hair more and their noses would brush.
They’d only really kissed once before, well actually, Minegishi had kissed him on the cheek after their first (only) date and maybe that didn’t totally count. And that was about all the kissing Hatori had ever done; needless to say he had very little experience.
Hatori wanted to kiss them, and maybe it was wishful thinking but it seemed like Minegishi did too. Hopefully.
Spurred on by a boost of confidence, he leaned forward, nervously closing the distance. Hatori had never done this before, what does he do with his hands? Hold their hands? But they were still holding the Switch. Hug them? The angle was weird.
He opted to stiffly placing both hands on Minegishi’s shoulders. Their lips brushed, Hatori landed the kiss on the corner of their mouth, his thick glasses bumped into their nose.
“Sorry…” He leaned back, face even redder than before, heart thudding in his chest. He messed up their kiss! He must look like a complete dweeb. Minegishi frowned at him.
“Don’t be sorry,” their voice had an edge to it, as if they’re insulted by the mere act of Hatori apologizing. Reassuring, in a way that is very much Minegishi.
“I…”
Before Hatori could stumble over a response, and he wasn’t sure what that would even be, Minegishi put the Switch down on the bed and reached forward, carefully removing Hatori’s glasses, fingers brushing the side of his face. Hatori blinked, a little disoriented.
Then he felt arms around his shoulders pull him closer, and Minegishi’s lips press against his. They were clumsy, both of them, but Hatori didn’t care. He smiled into the kiss, not sure what to do before breaking away with a gasp. Minegishi’s eyes stayed on his, expression softened.
“I’m nervous too, it’s fine,” they said bluntly.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I don’t know what I’m doing,” they said.
“Neither do I.” Hatori breathes a sigh of relief, “I’m so glad it’s not just me.”
“Of course it’s not.” Minegishi said, “but we should practice, then maybe we’ll get it.”
“What about studying?” Hatori said coyly. Minegishi rolled their eyes.
“Don’t make me change my mind,” they teased, voice flat but with a playfulness Hatori knew to look for.
He kissed them again, laughing against their lips.

each color has a meaning
Pairing: Reader x Toshiki Minegishi (Mob Psycho 100)
Summary: (Fluff) Minegishi works as a florist at a local flower shop after Claw’s disbandment. He meets (Y/n), a regular client who cherish flowers and learn how to take care of them through his advices. One summer day, they decide to do something they wished for a long time.
Warning: Slight spoiler about Minegishi’s story after the ‘world domination’ arc (but no spoiler about the general story).
Word count: 1928
A/N: Please excuse me for not writing a request this time! (;´д`) I’m working really hard on the ones I received, I think some of them will be 10′000+ words based on all the ideas I have... I wanted to write a prompt that wasn’t that long and decided to write for a character I haven’t seen any story on yet! I really hope you’ll enjoy it, I’ll be back on your requests soon! ♡
A warm tangerine hue painted the wooden table at the far back of a homely and colorful store, entangled leaves and brambles left a checkered pattern of the early sunbeams, which gracefully entered through the glass walls. The sun timidly showed itself at this hour, the once silent and deserted streets of Seasoning City were slowly getting filled by the sounds of hasty footsteps and the gentle vibrations of passing-by cars. The stifling air of a common summer day was slowly building up to most of the citizens’ dismay, men in suits wished for the refreshing winds of the night to reappear through the afternoon while the kids in elementary school giggled in delight to the new warmth of the day. The calm flower shop at the middle of the main alley was the only place you could get a revitalizing breath if you had the opportunity to walk past it.
Tying up a lavender gray apron around his slim waist, the young florist was prepared to start a new day of work. He opened the back door of his workplace and was welcomed by a vibrant forest of flowers and plants, the apricot tint of the rays of sunshine made the small water droplets glimmer around the enclosed room, the sight was breathtaking. His shoes softly hit the sleek parquet; his mind was drifting away to the numerous tasks he had to complete, as well as his curiosity of the new faces he will meet today.
He twisted the keys his boss had given him and pushed open the front door of the flower shop. He swiftly turned around the chocolate brown sign outside from ‘closed’ to ‘open’, a new smile forming on his features.
Before he could go back to his first duty of the morning, a familiar silhouette standing in front of the clear glass wall caught his attention. A young city dweller was admiring the rich store from outside; completely mesmerized by the delicate petals of the flowers exposed that they didn’t even notice the shop was finally open. The employee took few steps towards the possible customer, halting them in their contemplation, their gaze now on him.
“Good morning, (Y/n).” The young man started, his voice was serene and comforting.
“Good morning Minegishi, I hope I’m not bothering you right now.” They timidly apologized, the tender sight of their smile soothing any of the young men’s worries.
“No you’re not, don’t worry.” He reassured. “Do you want to buy some flowers?”
It was a habit for him to encounter (Y/n) almost every morning, staring at the several pots and bouquets of flowers proposed by the local shop. They were a sweet and regular client; they always asked about him and asked how he felt about work, sometimes helping him to rearrange the disposition of the flourishing plants around the work place. They seem to deeply love flowers and enjoy taking care of them; their admiration and hardworking personality made Minegishi soften to the thought of them, to the point he had developed a sweet adoration to the client.
“Yes, and some seeds too, please.” They responded, their (e/c) orbs now captivated by the pale purple strands of hair tickling his soft cream skin, swinging by the blow of his breathing. Minegishi took the lead and entered back the colorful room, (Y/n) followed while admiring the bloom of young sprouts on the shelves.
“Is there a type of flower you’re looking for?” The florist queried, taking his plastic gloves out of a drawer.
“I would like to buy some pink peony seeds first, if you have some obviously.” They replied peacefully, watching the every movement of the young adult. He simply nodded before going to the display behind the counter, searching for the desired article.
“Is it to start your own little garden? You usually buy plants that are already grown when you come here.” Minegishi continued on a friendly conversation; a shy desire to get to know them better made his devoted heart skips a beat.
“Yes, it’s actually for a special occasion.” A glow of cherry pink covered their delicate (s/c) cheeks, the corners of their lips creating an enchanting grin. His narrow eyes widened at the stunning sight, he tried to keep his composure but the knot forming inside his stomach felt quite peculiar.
“I-I only hope for the better then.” The employee wished bashfully, handing to (Y/n) the small package containing the seeds. He suddenly stopped his action, an idea emerging from his troubled thoughts. “Wait, let me offer you the necessary you’ll need here. Hold a second.” Minegishi rushed to the back of the store to bring a few more items to make the seeds grow, such as a small pot, soil and a pistachio green watering can.
“Oh! Thank you Minegishi, but you don’t need to give me so many things, I don’t mind paying.” They chuckled in astonishment, the worker’s generosity made them genuinely happy.
“I insist, you help me with the shop some days, it’s all I can do in exchange.” A gentle smile pushed his flushed cheeks, glad he’s finally thanking the kind customer the way he should. “And what type of flower do you want?”
“Do you have any lavender roses, please?” They hurriedly turned their gaze away from him. “I know they can be quite rare, but I really wish to have a bundle of them.” They answered hesitantly, beads of sweat forming on their temple from their worry of asking too much from him. Minegishi took notice of the change of behavior and quickly reassured them.
“We have stems of this type, let me get a bouquet for you.” Taking out the tools he needed, he made his way towards a large pot completely hidden behind a colorful mix of roses in the corner of the flower shop. Cautiously cutting the bodies of the lilac ones, he successfully made to the sweet client an astounding bouquet full of violet roses, the few pearly droplets of the dew on the velvet surface of their petals reflected the warm colors of the sun against their clear shell.
Disposing all of the items on the wooden table at the back, Minegishi made the total price of their new belongings. “It’ll be 3’200 ¥ please. Sorry if the price is high this time, roses are quite expensive, their meaning seem to be important...” He noted while enveloping the flowers in a light lavender ribbon.
“Isn’t their meaning ‘love’?” They guessed from their memories, their pinkish fingers playing with each other in anticipation.
“Red roses, yes, but lilac roses are slightly different. They mean ‘love at first sight’.” He shyly specified, his palms brushing against the delicate petals. Months ago, it wasn’t on his priority to know the meaning of the flowers he gives life to, but now that he had to sell them to young lovers, the meaning of each color of the roses is obvious to him. Knowing this, he was now curious of the intents of his crush and the desire of this bouquet.
“That’s so cute! Thank you for teaching me something new, Minegishi.” (Y/n) complimented, beaming to the flustered men in front of them. They rapidly took all of the items in their plastic bag after handing the right amount of money, their movements were unusually hasty.
“Will you stay a bit around today?” The young florist hoped, looking back at their anxious features with interest and patience.
“I’m sorry, but I need to go now. I remembered I still need to take some documents in my apartment for my job. I hope you’re okay with it.” They apologized, frowning to themselves at their sudden change of behavior. His slightly excited expression disappeared after their response, his wish to talk to them more were stopped for today.
“N-no, it’s okay. Well, see you soon (Y/n)!” Minegishi exclaimed, bowing at the running form who responded with a quick wave.
“See you soon Minegishi! Please take good care of the plants!” They addressed their final words before disappearing behind the front door. The worker let out a shaky sight escape his pink lips, their passage was already over. His heart clenched in his tight chest at the thought of this newly made bouquet full of roses, wonders of the intentions of his favorite customer with it lingering on his perplexed mind. Whoever will receive these probably won’t realize the chance they have to receive a gift from the kindest citizen of Seasoning City, but he, at least, hoped they will be happy.
Taking a hold back in reality, the employee took his watering can to do his first task of the morning. His boss will come in less than an hour, he had to do it quickly this time.
-
The warm ray of lights slipped through the many leaves to color the cinnamon brown parquet to a carrot hue, the inside of the flower shop silent and soothing. The sun was waking up again, his midnight blue sheets disappeared into the horizon. The comforting blue of the day was slowly forming once more, complimented with few clouds hugging each side of the sky. The typical sounds and voices echoed across the street as minutes passed, the same persons walked past the stores lining up alongside the main road, a newly found excitement shaking their thoughts.
Opening the back door of his workplace, Minegishi was prepared for his new assigned duties. Taking glances at the exposed colorful flowers on the shelves, his mind was drifting again at the surprises he’ll meet today. He wondered a lot since (Y/n)’s visit the other day. He was worried about their day of work, if they’ll be able to make their seeds grow without his help or if they weren’t in debt because of their bouquet. He knew he was concerned about nothing important, they were a responsible adult who will be able to take good care of themselves, or at least it was what he deeply hoped.
Opening wide the front door of the store, Minegishi was stopped in his track by an unknown item, sitting at the foot of the entrance. Looking down at it, he was surprised to see a breathtaking bouquet of lilac roses, protected in a pastel blue plastic wrapper covered with small white diamonds. Hesitantly taking the gift in his shaking hands, he discovered a lavender blue note hidden behind few roses. A crimson hue tinted his cheeks, his heart beating faster inside its cage, he couldn’t believe it. After calming his irregular breathing, he started to read the letter, a lovingly smile plastered on his features.
“Dear Minegishi,
I need to thank you for your presence at my favorite place in town. You teach me so many interesting facts about plants every time I come there, I think I’ve never been this good at taking care of my flowers ever since.
Every day spent with you are memorable. You’re able to calm me down before I go to work and when it’s time for me to go, my only wish is to see you the next day.
I sadly start my shift earlier today, but I’ll be out for 6pm. Do you think you could come meet me at the café down the street at this hour? I wished to ask you this since the first time I saw you.
Before ending this invitation, let me tell you a fact: Do you know what is the meaning of pink peonies?
They mean ‘Romance’. I plant my seeds today.
-With love, (Y/n)”

Number 17. You know what to do.
“At least have the common courtesy to apologize if you hit somebody in your wheelchair race!” Minegishi scolds, lightly hitting Shimazaki across the back of his head as they push him out of the retirement home. Shimazaki only laughs, still exhilarated from said race.
“Ah, he had it comin’ to him! Koyama’s a sore loser and you know it.” He shrugs. “Besides, everyone involved knows I can’t see shit. He had it coming to him!” He insists.
Minegishi grumbles, but Shimazaki can sense their amusement anyway. He can’t help giggling and leaning his head back against Minegishi’s arm, jutting his chin up with a stupid grin on his face. He knows he gets into a lot of shit, around the house, in public, when they visit friends at the retirement home… sure, he’s toned it down quite a bit since becoming wheelchair-bound, but he only does it because it makes Minegishi laugh sometimes. Most of the time, though, he just gets in trouble.
“Aw, c’mon, Toshi. If you want me to apologize so badly we can turn around. I swear, I’ll be on my best behavior this time. I’ll say sorry and everything.”
Minegishi makes a sound of disbelief in their throat. “Hmph! A likely story.”
“As likely as it comes! C’mon, let’s go back.”
“Ryou, we have to go home before the neighbor kids realize we’re gone and get into the garden. I’m not letting them at my tomatoes this year.”
Shimazaki snorts. “Ah, right. Pesky things, kids are. Too bad you’ve grown on them, eh?”
He knows that Minegishi would tolerate anything from the neighborhood kids– he’s got a soft spot for them as well. Ever since Minegishi started stress baking (which turned into a hobby, unrelated to stress), they’ve had too many baked goods around the house to finish before going bad. Minegishi had offered baked goods to their neighbors, which sparked plenty of interest from the younger generations, and sometimes small groups of children talk with Minegishi over the fence when they work in the garden. Shimazaki’s even found a few kids playing in their yard, around a hammock-dozing Minegishi. They always put up a tone of indifference or annoyance, but Shimazaki can tell they care a lot for the kids. Shimazaki himself enjoys playing with the kids when Minegishi runs out of energy.
“Hm… too bad.” They lean down and press a gentle kiss to the top of his head, humming thoughtfully. “I’ll make you apologize the next time we visit, okay?”
“Ooh, when’s that gonna be? Please, god, not bingo night– bingo night’s the worst.” So boring, especially when he can’t see what’s going on.
Minegishi chuckles. “No, not bingo night, you idiot. We can go next week for that potluck.”
“You gonna bring something good?”
“Maybe…” They think about it for a moment. “I could make some zucchini bread.”
Shimazaki makes a face up at them, and Minegishi laughs at that, bapping him on the head. “Shut up, you love my zucchini bread.”
“I love you more,” Shimazaki croons.
“No you don’t.”
“Yeah I do.”
Minegishi snorts, which becomes a chuckle, which becomes a laugh. That’s a noise Shimazaki could listen to for the rest of his life. “God. I can’t believe you and Koyama actually raced with your wheelchairs. You two are such idiots, no wonder you get along well.”
“Me, Koyama, and Serizawa. Almost forgot that doofus.”
“Yeah, about that– how on earth did you convince Serizawa to get in on that? He doesn’t even use a wheelchair!” Minegishi exclaims.
“It wasn’t me– I have no idea what Koyama said to him, but I do know he stole someone else’s wheelchair.” He pouts. “I would’ve won too if Koyama hadn’t convinced him to join in on it.”
Minegishi huffs, stopping at a bus stop, and moves some hair out of Shimazaki’s face. “Whatever you say, Ryou.”
“What would you’ve done if I’d won?” Shimazaki asks, a mischievous smile on his face.
“Nothing, that’s what. You are insufferable, you know that?”
“Aw, but you love me.”
Minegishi snorts and places another kiss on his head. “Yeah, yeah. God knows why, but yeah, I love you.”

Bad End Roundup: Collar x Malice
Bad End Roundups is where I give reactions to the bad ends and Normal Ends of an otome, usually because I tend to leave all the bad or normal ends until I've completed all of the Good Ends I can. This isn't the case with every game, as some I'll get a bad end the first time through, especially with blind playthroughs. In general, however, this is my rule of thumb when I play otomes.
And, as you can probably figure, these are going to be riddled with spoilers, for the entire game.
Just a fair warning.
Out of all of the bad ends I've played so far, this game takes the more serious path. There aren't any gag endings, where the ending is so ridiculous that you can't take it seriously. There aren't really any normal endings either, just the Tragic Love Ends, where it varies on how much this ending hurts your soul.
Now, into the Bad End Roundup, starting with… the common route!
Final spoiler warning here, folks!
------------------
Common Route
‘Report it’ Ending Ichika goes against the strict warnings from the collar and tell Mochida about what happened to her, show him the collar and everything.
This results in the collar injecting the poison into her system, and, thus, kills her. Whoops.
‘Rather Do It Myself’ Ending This end is when Ichika doesn't choose a specific route and are basically trying to solve the X Day crimes alone without input from the others. But there is too much for her to analyze on her own, overwhelming her, and X Day comes as a result, and she’s too late to stop it.
--------------
Mineo Enomoto Bad Ends
Enomoto has six Bad Ends, one of them being his Tragic Love End.
Bad End 1 This one involves taking a more dangerous shortcut home. This forced Ichika to run into Manabu, the gamer dude, where he shoots her. Whoops.
Bad End 2 This one involves Ichika getting information from Satake, Enomoto’s old superior and mentor. Unfortunately, she are too cautious in her approach and he doesn't give the information. This leads indirectly to Ichika’s death, because she wasn't proactive enough.
Bad End 3 Like Bad End 2, this one involves getting information from Satake. Ichika is still too cautious, but she does apologize for hiding the complete truth from him. This results in Enomoto getting taken and killed this time.
Bad End 4 This is where Ichika misses the shot to disable Hanako, the girl in the bunny jacket. This results in her shooting Kazuki, her little brother.
She doesn't take this very well, as she then proceed to shoot her multiple times in a blind rage.
Bad End 5 This involves going to the wrong place to find Enomoto and Ogata, resulting in Enomoto shooting Ogata, on streaming video, right on the big screen in Shinjuku Station, with no context as to why Enomoto opened fire on him.
Bad End 6, His Tragic Love End Enomoto tries to make his peace with Ogata in a live press conference. Ogata however, does not share the same sentiment and tries to stab him with a concealed knife. Ichika is quicker to react and shoot him, straight in the heart.
However, because it was a compromise of her ideals, shooting a person first instead trying to understand him and his point of view, Ichika resigns from the police force and goes home. Before she can completely leave, however, Enomoto finds her on the train and tries to convince her to stay, but the damage is already done and she leaves him behind.
----------
Takeru Sasazuka Bad Ends
Sasazuka has six Bad Ends, one of them being his Tragic Love End
Bad End 1 Ichika goes into the park to find Suzune, one of the twins, there. Suzune goes off on her for showing basic human concern and proceeds to choke her. Suzune’s brother, Shion, comes along to his sister choking poor Ichika. He stops her, briefly, until it's revealed that Ichika’s a cop. He then proceeds to shoot her dead. Whoops.
Bad End 2 Because Ichika stumbled upon Rika Sugawara’s dead body accidentally, she is killed for seeing too much.
Bad End 3 Ichika pushes Sasazuka out of the way of being shot by Manabu, and gets shot in the process. Sasazuka doesn’t take this well.
Bad End 4 Ichika tries to reason with Manabu, against her and Sasazuka’s better judgement. This results in Ichika getting ‘BOOM. HEADSHOT.’ Sasazuka screams worse in this ending.
Bad End 5 Sasazuka keeps his focus on finding his mother’s killer instead of the larger problem of the X Day crimes. He does take off Ichika's collar in a very sweet scene (where he drugs her though, unfortunately) and disappears into the night.
Bad End 6, His Tragic Love End This ends with Sasazuka not fighting to keeping them together, so he and Ichika have to separate because of their jobs. He does give her a pretty necklace in parting though.
---------------
Kageyuki Shiraishi Bad Ends
Shiraishi has five Bad Ends, including his Tragic Love End
Bad End 1 Ichika is killed by Rika Sugawara, just for running into her. Whoops.
Bad End 2 Shiraishi confronts Zero on his own, resulting in him getting killed.
Bad End 3 Ichika fails in negotiating with the twins, which results in her getting shot.
Bad End 4, His Tragic Love End Ichika becomes a part of Adonis, becoming a killer numb to any emotion, or pretty much anything. Shiraishi is 'given’ to her as a pet, with his vocal chords taken out, eternally crying in his failure to protect Ichika.
Bad End 5 Ichika succeeded in killing Zero, but he activates the poison in her collar, like in Shiraishi’s good ending. And Shiraishi administers the antidote, same as his good ending. The only difference between this and his ‘Good End’ is that he is straight up honest with, telling her they are lovers, and they stay in the underground forever, because she needs to recover, and… well, he is a wanted criminal.
I feel bad to say this a lot less fucked up than his actual ‘Good End’ :/
------------
Kei Okazaki Bad Ends
Okazaki has five Bad Ends, including his Tragic Love End
Bad End 1 Ichika follows Yasahiro Isshiki, and then is killed by Hanako. Again.
This is becoming a trend.
Bad End 2 Okazaki confronts Ichika when he sees the collar. However, since it sounded like she was conspiring with Rika Sugawara, Okazaki gives her the cold shoulder instead of learning the whole truth. Because of his threat to tell his superiors about the collar, Ichika dies via the poison in her collar.
Bad End 3 Ichika doesn't accept the idea of her dying very well, which results in her being afraid of Okazaki, especially after he had pulled his gun on her before. Because of her cowardly unwillingness, Okazaki tried to distance himself, hating her cowardice. One final confrontation results in the line: “You weren't the one I was meant to protect.”
He is then taken out by Adonis, a death without meaning, his worst fear.
Bad End 4 Where Ichika and Okazaki have to get out of explosive-riddled park, but Ichika chooses to pursue Sanjou, on her own, and almost gets killed, had it not been for Okazaki, who dies in her stead. At least he dies happy :/
Bad End 5, His Tragic Love End Where Ichika missed the shot and is actually killed this time. Okazaki is distraught and considers killing himself. He only just barely manages to stop himself from pulling the trigger on himself before Zero finds them and kills Okazaki himself.
---------------
Aiji Yanagi Bad Ends
Yanagi has seven Bad Ends, including his Common Route Bad End and his Tragic Love End
Bad End 1, His Common Route Bad End This is achieved by too many wrong answers and don’t pick a specific route, which leads to Adonis thinking Ichika truly hasn't pursued the X Day crimes seriously, so Zero kills her via the poison in her collar.
Bad End 2 Ichika follows Kazuki on her own, without Yanagi, which means she meets Yasahiro Isshiki on her own. He finds out she's a cop and pushed her out, where she meets Hanako.
You can guess where it goes from here.
Bad End 3 We miss the shot on the hostage situation, hitting the hostage by accident, inciting the perp, Yanagi isn't fast enough to stop the perp and Ichika is shot. He is distraught by the turn of events, and same for the reader if you've finished his route before doing the Bad Ends, like me.
Bad End 4 Ichika confronts Saeki, and raises her gun on him. He then knocks her out and kidnaps her to his hideout. When Ichika wakes up, she's surrounded by the bodies of Yanagi, Okazaki, Enomoto, and Shiraishi, all killed by the automatic defense system. Saeki comes to her, offering his hand, asking if she wants to help him rid the world of malice and sorrow.
In her grief, Ichika takes his hand, only mentally vowing to get rid of the root of the problem, him, with her own hands.
Bad End 5 What I like to call the ‘Ichika Goes Yandere’ Ending.
X Day happens as planned, meaning everyone is living in fear of the terrorist organization, including Ichika.
She locks herself and Kazuki in the apartment, Yanagi comes by and is taken in himself, Ichika so scared and paranoid, she literally threatens him bodily harm if he goes back out, where it was clearly not safe. Yanagi is regretful that he couldn’t save her from her fear and paranoia.
Bad End 6 Saeki dies from the open fire of the SWAT team, probably because we didn’t report it to Morioka and Minegishi about us wanting a word with him. When Saeki shot Yanagi, it sent off the warning to the team and they open fire.
With his dying breath, he sets off a bomb. Yanagi dies protecting Ichika, and she goes off to rid the world of sorrow, because of her loss of Yanagi and Saeki.
Bad End 7, His Tragic Love End Saeki is the faster shot and he gets Yanagi, multiple times, but doesn’t kill him. Ichika gets a good shot in and kills Saeku, right through the heart.
Because of the trauma of killing him (basically proving his point, that she can kill to protect, even if it was someone she previously cared about), Ichika was sent home because of the shock, and hasn't been seen since. Yanagi leaves us by looking for her as hard as he can.
----------
The closest thing that could be considered a Normal Ending would be Sasazuka’s Tragic Love End, where they have separate because of their jobs with minimal drama, just a quiet parting of ways.
My first official Bad End was in Okazaki’s route, right around the time I got the title postholder image. It was my first time attempting fate in the game (not the last time either) and I was heart-broken as a result. Still didn’t teach me to not tempt fate though.
My favorite Bad End has to be, surprisingly, Okazaki's Tragic Love End, where Ichika actually dies in this end. It actually had me on my edge of my seat, especially once the cg popped up. Okazaki is mentally anguished, seriously considering taking his own life because Ichika needlessly lost hers. Only in the last few moments does he pull the gun from his head, giving you some bit of hope, that he could move on.
Unfortunately, Zero finds him, twists some words, and shoots Okazaki himself, snuffing out any shred of hope.
I love the high emotions in this one, how there is still just a bit of hope for a bittersweet ending, that Okazaki could be okay after Ichika’s death, that he could be okay and move on.
But no, that hope was snuffed out by Zero’s trigger and everything was lost.
Probably my most what the fuck moment was with Shiraishi’s last ending, which plays close to his Good End, but is thankfully shorter.
Like I mentioned in the insert, I find this ending less fucked up than his Good End, and that is a tad frightening.
Compared to his ‘Good’ Ending, he doesn't lie to her, he straight up calls them lovers. She still has amnesia, but at least he doesn't lie to her. Sure, they're still in the underground, but at least he doesn't try to distance himself from her by caring for her as her ‘doctor’, only to distance himself further when she's well enough to rejoin society, dumping her on Yanagi, and turns himself in to the authorities.
I'm still broke from Shiraishi’s Good Ending, okay? Okay.
Up next, my final thoughts on Collar x Malice, an analysis of the entire game, a discussion of my favorite moments, good or bad, and a ranking of the routes against each other and various other things.
For the individual baes in Review for Collar x Malice, here’s the link to Baes in Summary, which has links to individual route thoughts and ratings.
If anyone has any special requests for baes or games for me to review, here’s the most up-to-date list of games and routes I’ve completed thus far: Butts Touched Master List
Have a good day, lovelies, and remember to touch all the butts.

carrot-tea-time replied to your post “aight so i’ve got shitty internet but i wanna talk mp100 so...”
minori. the super 5. takenaka. the entire existence of spirits and such. the crushing psychological weight of the mogami arc on mob. the long term future for mob wrt his powers. teru's actual growth as a person. opinion on terumob?
i think minori serves her purpose as an antagonist very well. she’s not super likable at first, which makes it all the more punchy when mob chooses to help out before she’s even had a chance to make amends. her apology then becomes a great payoff.
as for the super 5. i don’t really . remember them much at all. just serizawa and minegishi. their appearances are in the world dom arc though, and that’s not me fav.
Also I think I am . probably alone in my boat of thinking the Mogami Arc is a little overhyped/overrated. And aside from Mob being terrified when Mogami showed back up, and trying to be ‘tougher’ on Ritsu/Teru/Reigen in World dom, it hasn’t really been shown to have any long reaching consequences yet. yet. This confession arc is a perfect setup for that so, fingers crossed. I’d like for it to be brought back up again in a new light.
my thoughts on terumob are /shrug. haven’t thought about it hard one way or the other. i will admit it’s lil hard for me to get around the absolute worst first impression of murder almost happening within the first 10 mins of meeting one another
#carrot-tea-time#kjdghk i speak a lot of storyteller jargon#i've been told it's clinical sounding but this shit is important !!#also#i can definitely see teru crushing on mob#but the other way ..?#that's a little harder#ump100#joey babbles

Minami Minegishi, the Final Member of AKB48’s First Generation, Announces Graduation
During the AKB48 Theater's 14th Anniversary Ceremonial Special Live Performance in Akihabara on December 8, the final member from the first generation of AKB48, Minami Minegishi, announced her graduation starting from early 2020. Minami Minegishi debuted as one of the first members of the group at the age of 13 and has been active in a majority of the activities since 2005. Her graduation concert will be held in Yokohama on April 2, 2020, finishing the story of AKB48’s first generation 14 year history.
Minegishi at Japan Expo in 2009
As the longest-serving member of AKB48, the now 27-year-old was at the opening of the AKB Theater, saw ABK48 the rise in popularity, the graduation of all her fellow first-generation members, and even the overseas expansion of the 48 brands. Minegishi was part of the first sub-group of AKB, no3b (pronounced “No Sleeves”) with fellow members Minami Takamina and Kojima Haruna, both of whom have since graduated. They celebrated the 10th anniversary of the subgroup together in 2018 by having a special performance.
She was best known for her MC skills, having helped host the long-longing AKBINGO, as well as various specials for the group and other events. She appeared on a majority of AKB48’s main single and ranked 32 in the last Senbatsu Election in 2018. A fictional version of Minegishi also appeared in anime AKB0048 under the guise of Mikako Minamino.
Minami Minegishi made worldwide news in 2013 for shaving her head and apologizing on camera for having a boyfriend. AKB48 has a strict no dating policy that resulted in her being demoted to kenkyuusei (research student) and having her work her way back up through the ranks. People across the world condemned the practice, with the BBC reporting that “some fans and commentators say Minegishi went too far with her public apology, and that it was unnecessary.” Minegishi persisted and has since become a mentor to the newer additions to AKB48, eventually being promoted to Team 4 captain before being transferred once again to Team K.
Minegishi said during the stage that she’s “decided to graduate when [she] still enjoyed being part of AKB. [Graduating] like this, I get to choose how people view it. I’ll do my best, without any exception, so I'd be happy if you watched it.”
Her graduation concert will happen on April 2, 2020, at Yokohama Arena. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.

Collar X Malice ~UNLIMITED~ Seiji Minegishi Route PRIDE Translations (Prologue)

The Metropolitan Police Department. It holds jurisdiction over 102 police stations in Tokyo and is also Japan's largest police headquarters.
On the first floor of the police headquarters, whose building was located directly in front of the imperial palace--
Hajime Morioka: --And that's why, you're going to take over Suzuki's mountain of paperwork, Minegishi.
"You're going to take over Suzuki's mountain of paperwork." The Division 1 Section Chief, Inspector Morioka had all but come up to me --Seiji Minegishi, just to deliver that one-liner in person.
Seiji Minegishi: ...Sorry Morioka-san. Could you run that by me again?
Hajime Morioka: You're taking over his paperwork. I know that he has the motivation to mow through the entire heap but that's still too big of a load for him alone.
Seiji Minegishi: ......
I furrowed my eyebrows for a short while.
Then, turning towards the direction of the window, I let a small smile grace my lips.
Seiji Minegishi: The X-Day incident that occurred last year is said to be the most violent post-war incident.
Seiji Minegishi: Although we have indeed managed to suppress Adonis' hideout in Shinjuku, there are still some remanants of the group on the loose.
Hajime Morioka: I see. So?
Seiji Minegishi: Despite it being a little more peaceful now, I still believe that we have heaps of work to settle and sort through, no?
Hajime Morioka: Rest assured, it'll all work out since you're the one doing it. Aren't you the jack of all trades?
Seiji Minegishi: ...I can hardly think of that as a compliment, really.
Hajime Morioka: I'm giving you the highest praise here. That's an essential skill for someone standing at the very top.
He nodded and patted me on the shoulder when I tried to raise my veiled objection.
It's not ironic for him to be dishing out praises but I honestly doubt he's joking. Rather, I think he's being absolutely serious.
I gave a small sigh and shrugged my shoulders.
Seiji Minegishi: ...Roger. Although, I'll probably have to face the wrath of Inspector Suzuki's resentment yet again, if I am to take over his workload.
Hajime Morioka: Tell him that they were my orders if that happens. He might not be willing to leave his own paperwork to others but...
Hajime Morioka: Our job doesn't entail being pretend friends. We'll be inconveniencing the bereaved family if we're delayed due to issues about personal pride.
Seiji Minegishi: ...That's a sound argument.
Resolving the incident comes first and foremost for us.
Although it's a fact that we can't make any mistakes during the investigation process, being too prudent on a case and delaying its resolvement will in turn lead to the lack of personnel available to work on the other cases.
Seiji Minegishi: (In other words, it isn't necessary to solve every little problem. What's most important is that we resolve the case in the end.)
Suzuki is a capable person, albeit stubborn and lacking flexibility.
Morioka-san must have foreseen that this would happen. I guess that's why he approached me about the matter?
The others say that Morioka-san's thick and lacking sympathy but, despite all of that, he's a boss that always makes accurate judgements.
The right man for the right place. Neither veterans nor greenhorns are what's needed to proceed with an investigation.
Seiji Minegishi: (...Well, he certainly wouldn't have been appointed the Division 1 Section Chief if he wasn't anything short of that.)
Hajime Morioka: I know that you're busy all too well. There are times where I'd love to cut you some slack more often than not.
Seiji Minegishi: Your sentiments are appreciated. I don't think it is in my place to be saying things like that when the busiest person here's telling me that.
Hajime Morioka: You have my apologies but, well... You can just hand down the case you're currently working on to someone else if you really do have your hands full.
Seiji Minegishi: You mean...The X-Day incidents?
Hajime Morioka: Yes. Despite the losses we suffered, it's still a fact that we've successfully prevented X-Day from happening. We've also already arrested all the executives and people who were involved.
Hajime Morioka: Whatever remnants of them left out there don't have the power to pull anything off. Not on a large scale anyway so it's about time you hand the case down.
Seiji Minegishi: ...That's...That's certainly true, but still...
Hajime Morioka: Why, I never knew your enunciation was failing you. Is there still something bothering you?
Seiji Minegishi: No...
Hajime Morioka: Besides, there's already talk from the higher-ups about the dissolution of the investigation headquarters.
Hajime Morioka: The fact that the investigation headquarter's still here despite us having already solved the incident is just a special precaution, given the scale of the entire incident.
Seiji Minegishi: I see...So this case has already been "Closed and filed away" to the top brass?
Hajime Morioka: It'll be more accurate to say that Superintendent Takeda "Wishes for it all to end" and no longer wants anything to do with the matter.
And theoretically, I do understand why he'd like to wipe his hands clean of it...
Quarantining Shinjuku in order to catch the violent terrorists running rampant.
In other words, we were stopping the very heart of Tokyo itself in order to surgically remove the lesion that was Adonis.
Of course, we'd suffer immeasurable economic losses if it were to continue for a prolonged period of time.
That's probably why the government wishes for us to hasten the closure of this matter, to resolve it as soon as we could.
Seiji Minegishi: (That's to be expected, after all. Of course, that was no doubt the policy that the police go by.)
In actual fact, we would be lying if we said that the entire case's clarification process wasn't proceeding smoothly after the destroyal of Adonis.
The murderous exchange that Adonis had carried out. The chip that had been embedded inside the offender to convey instructions. We were also starting to track down where Adonis' flow of cash came from.
However, there's also the fact that many things still remain unknown to us since the memories of the arrested offenders were all wiped prior to their capture...
Seiji Minegishi: (And also... The existence of the training institution that was rumoured to be owned by Adonis.)
We managed to get our hands on that particular piece of information from those we had captured from the hideout raid.
But we haven't managed to figure out it's location and neither have we caught all of Adonis' agents who are spread nation-wide.
Seiji Minegishi: (Despite the fact that we've arrested quite a number of them, they're all specialists, skilled in the art of infiltration.)
Seiji Minegishi: (In the heart of this very state...There's also the very real possibility of them still lurking within the police, lying in wait.)
There are still many pending issues that are yet to be solved, so it's still way too early for the case to be appealed to be closed.
I wonder if it's my own emotional sentiment speaking since I'm pretty attached to the case right now?
Seiji Minegishi: ............
Hajime Morioka: ...You really do seem like you have a thing or two to say about it after all. It isn't like you to be swayed by emotion at all.
Seiji Minegishi: No, I have no qualms regarding this matter. I don't exactly have the intention of going against the higher-ups.
Seiji Minegishi: Speaking of which, please give me the details after I return. I'm just about to head to the Shinjuku station now.
Hajime Morioka: Alright. I'll make the preparations to take over Suzuki's mountain of paperwork over on my side.
Hajime Morioka: You can settle the handing over of the X-Day incident after your break. However...
Hajime Morioka: It would be best for you to let go of it as soon as possible, while you still can. Before the sentiments set in and get in the way of your work.
Seiji Minegishi: ...Of course.
Bowing to Morioka-san, I left the premises, exposing myself to the slight chill that still lingered outside.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
--That's right. It's not necessary to solve every single problem out there.
Seiji Minegishi: (This country...So long as the security of the people are spoken for, the remaining mysteries of the case are nothing more than trivial matters.)
We managed to stop the countdown to X-day and the case was closed when we sealed the deal with Adonis' destruction.
This case will no longer pose as a danger, in any case. I can pass it down to someone else and leave them to handle this case.
...Or at least, that was how it was supposed to be...
Seiji Minegishi: ...I want to see this through till the very end.
Seiji Minegishi: The reason why I'm thinking of it that way is probably none other than "My pride" speaking...
Morioka-san's really as sharp as ever.
He probably already knew that I had grown attached to this case; The X-day case.
He must have been concerned about the fact that the other cases I'm working on might be affected due to that very reason.
—— —— ≿————- ❈ ————-≾ —— ——
Seiji Minegishi: (...It's not like me at all, huh.)
I headed towards the Shinjuku station, my breath turning white as it met with the chilly air of my surroundings.
