do you....have any headcanons abt Innath...?

a lot of this is going to feature innath and corlath being friends because,,,,,i want it.

- innath is the youngest rider, just two years younger than the king himself, and the first rider corlath made after he became king.

- innath is a fourth son from a less-than-wealthy family, and occasionally reminds corlath that he's being stupid about wealth. corlath appreciates innath Using His Words, because when they first met as tween-ish kids, innath socked him in the teeth during a conversation about why innath's family didn't just Have Servants to cook for them.

(corlath was too surprised to do anything but realize he'd probably fucked up. he did have to explain the split lip to his parents, who were extremely chill about the whole thing and in fact heartily approved of corlath having a friend too disgruntled with his entire existence to be dazzled by him.)

- innath cares about rules™ only if breaking them will get him in trouble. the number of ways rulebreaking could get him in trouble shrunk to almost nothing the day he became a rider. corlath lives in fear of the day innath realizes this.

- when harry and corlath got engaged harry says he danced her around because he had no dignity. i don't have a headcanon to put here i just think that's cute.

- innath has to argue with himself for a good long while before he'll follow corlath to kidnap harry. he didn't swear loyalty to his king, but to his friend, and he doesn't know a lot about kelar but this is.....morally not great, and he's fairly certain friends are supposed to stop friends from doing dumb shit. however, he can see in corlath's face when he tries to explain himself to faran that he doesn't really understand it either, so innath shuts up and hopes the woman won't cry.

- once when corlath is still very newly king he cries in front of innath. innath.......makes an attempt to comfort him. corlath stops crying to ask innath What The Fuck?

(please picture innath saying "there there???" with audible question marks, putting one hand on corlath's head, and Leaving It There for five minutes. that's what happened.)

- innath tries to be the "you kicked a bully in the face, high five here's a candy and your bedtime is never" uncle Exactly Once and then realizes children are holy terrors when hyped up on sugar at midnight. corlath and harry just laugh and laugh and laugh.

- canon can fight me out back of the arby's, innath and richard crewe Fall In Love. at first innath just thinks it's funny to scandalize harry's big brother but later goes Aw Shit. Aw Shit He's Cute. Oh No. (they eventually bond over having to worry about kelar-stricken dumbasses.)

OKAY (Long post is LONG because I am incapable of being concise, sorry. Why use ten words when a hundred will do?)

First off: I would like to thank each and every person that bought something on my Walmart or Amazon wish lists. It was of unimaginable help, especially the dogfood. The state randomly decided to cancel my EBT (again) for no discernible reason, so we had to spend money on food and would have had to dip into the money we had saved for a rental deposit without your help on those household essentials. So, T H A N K  Y O U.

(Note: If you bought something off our Amazon list, please PM me. Most of it’s gotten here okay, but one thing never arrived, but I don’t know who purchased it and you gonna need to contact amazon on your end)

Full situation recap: As a lot of you know, I have been desperately searching for someplace to move for the last few months. 

The property we live on right now is being sold, and the new owner doesn’t want our place, so it’s gonna be striped and used as a fire training stage.

There have been some false hopes. I was literally about to hand over a deposit on a place in June, even, when the property manager got a call from the big boss with an order to halt all rentals at that park (like, I am not even slightly exaggerating, I was about to initiate the bank transfer when the call came through).

So back to searching it was, which included many many fruitless calls, three attempted scams (hoo boy, was the last one a doozy too), and more tears and panic attacks than I care to admit (no, I’ll admit it. SO MANY).

BUT! I have prevailed! I HAVE A PLACE. 

Went and put the deposit down this afternoon and a hundred towards the first months rent (threee houuuuur caaaaar driiiiive. Both ways. Ugh. A thousand thanks to my current landlady for driving me across the state.)

This place is,,,, Well, better than the place I was fixing to put money on before? Bigger anyway. It’s an actual house, not a trailer, and rent-to-own direct from the owner not a bank (banks all want upwards of a thousand down on RtO; WHY?!?!). Walls, roof, windows, and floor all intact. Owner seems the decent sort for an old white southern dude (I’ll have to keep ace-ness and such on the downlow, but I expected that. This IS Georgia.)

However, there are some issues.

The entire thing, barring the (tiny TINY shotgun) bathroom and (awkwardly designed) Kitchen, is floored in THE most gawd AWFUL 70s olive green shag carpeting I have seen in AGES. 

I have pictures. 

I will totally share once I find where the hell my fxxkin’ camera specific USB cord went (may have to see if I can borrow one from someone tbh).

Also, the walls? Not only are they a funny pinky-grey tan, they are popcorned/cottage cheesed, not just the ceiling. It is one of the most yuckbadno combinations my autistic ass has encountered recently.

The owner also did a weird thing in the living room and boarded up and spackled over large windows on each side and replaced them with a single window in the front, which, okaaaay, but the spackle job is,,,, not the smoothest. like. At All.

 I don’t want to be too down on the owner, bc he is Old, and clearly not the finest handyman, but it is Bad. (I also have clear pics of this and will share).

The walls are handleable for the most part. I have a line on some paint, hopefully, and spackle is cheap. That can be handled after we move in, even if the color/texture makes me want to hurl.

The main problem is the carpet. 

Mom’s (mostly) in a wheelchair. And anyone who’s tried pushing themselves around on shag carpeting in a wheelchair knows, you get nowhere at a snails pace.

That stuff needs to go, ASAP.

So, I’m looking into flooring options to add to my Walmart Registry and my Amazon Wishlist. Mom’s adamant it HAS to be the solid sheet kind, not tile, so that limits what we can do. I’ll add some in the next few days once I figure out which ones are cheaply priced but not too cheaply made, and mostly lighter colors since the place really needs lightening tbh. I did toss a kind of flexible plastic runner on the lists, which will help if we can’t get flooring right away. She’d be able to move from room to room on those, I think. If anyone could possibly help out with some of the other items so we can save to buy the vinyl or pvc sheeting ourselves, I would be so grateful (dog food is always welcome).

Note: I’ve added some frivolous things to the Amazon list. Mom is currently very very disappointed that this is the best we could find and afford, and is tipping into a lovely depressive episode now, I think. The fact that it’s all fixable things is falling on deaf ears right now, all she can see is that it’s not what she’d hoped. She’s also still quite upset at the death of one of our dogs earlier this month. She usually bought herself a DVD or two a month, but we’ve been frantically trying to save money the past year, so it’s been a long time since she’s been able to. So I went and looked over her Amazon Wishlists and tossed a bunch of things she’s had on them for a long time. If anyone would be willing to grab her a favorite movie, or a book, or a hair clip, to raise her spirits a little, I’d be very grateful. (Her birthday is also in August, and at this rate, there really isn’t going to be anything left for us to have any kind of ‘Happy 69th Birthday’ celebration)

Xemnas :

He’d choose to go somewhere simple, but also meaningful and with little to none distractions. Probably whichever part of the castle has the best view to Kingdom Hearts - guarded by Dusks so no one would interrupt.

It’s a first date, so Xemnas would like to focus on getting to know you and figuring out if this whole dating thing is a waste of his time or not. Not gonna lie, it WILL be awkward cause the guy is just so intense. In the end, you won’t even know if the date went well or not, but hey he asked you for a second date so ? That’s neat -

Xigbar :

Completely unpredictable. Your guess is just as good as mine here. Xigbar’s choice depends on how he’s feeling that day, but you should expect a little action no matter where he takes you.

This fucker would definitely get you in trouble - if that was intentional or not it’s up for debate - but don’t worry ! He’ll save you and then probably ask for a smooch as a reward. Or just continue teasing and pranking you. If you prove that you can keep up with him and his snarky attitude, then he’ll definitely ask you on a second date.

Xaldin :

Okay l i s t e n. Don’t expect him to choose a good spot or an interesting activity for this date. You already managed to somehow score a date with him, so you’d probably be in charge of everything else cause Xaldin is a sour bih. As long as you don’t pick a really crowded place, you two should be fine.

Despite his super distant attude and permanent scowl on his face, he actually behaves like a gentleman - like he opens doors for you, etc etc. It’s just an habit of his from when he had a heart. If you’re lucky and he’s in a good mood, he might actually talk about himself - the two of you would just talk for hours about d e e p and s m a r t topics.

Vexen :

H A H. This dude is too old for cutesy dates - you should feel lucky that he even lets you hang around his laboratory, which is exactly where your first date will take place. Sooo exciting, right ?

You’ll spend most of the time trying to look for a place to sit down without him screaming something along the lines of “gET OUT OF THERE YOU’RE IN MY WAY-”. But if you’re patient enough, he’ll gladly teach you all the things he’s working on and explain them in detail ! If you convince him to take a break, then you two could bond over how annoying everyone can be while drinking that s w e e t h o t t e a.

Lexaeus :

He’s one of the very few members who would actually t r y to make this date as pleasant as possible, discussing what you’d like to do, what to avoid and of course, b o u n d a r i e s. The guy might be lack a heart but he still has common decency. You two would end up going to Beast’s massive garden, picking flowers.

Lexaeus would be lowkey nervous - mostly cause people tend to misinterpret his quiet nature for disdain and he doesn’t want to give a bad first impression. He’d try to speak more instead of just nodding silently and will gladly hold your hand the whole time, if that’s okay with you ofc.

Zexion :

Zexion hasn’t really had the chance to explore and experiment in this whole concept of dating, so he’d do some research to figure out how to achieve the best outcome. In the end, he’d just simply rely on you and ask what you’d like to do.

Because of his control over illusions, he could easily create whatever scenery or recreate any word you’d like to visit without even leaving the castle. Don’t tell anyone but he likes to show off. If you’re the literary type, he’d love to invite you to his library and recommend you a s h i t ton of good books or just discuss them.

Saix :

Another killjoy. His first date with you include standing in the Grey Room for hours while he assigns every member their missions and makes sure they all do their jobs properly. If you insist on a more “private” date, he’d just show up unnanounced in your room and just sit there on a chair or something. There’s your privacy, what else do you want ?

Everything would be really tense until like, the 25th date or so, when he finally l o o s e n s up. So no cute first date moments other than you trying to think of absolutely a n y t h i n g that could catch his attention. But even with his busy schedule Saix does make time for these dates, as awkward as they can be.

Axel :

Contrary to popular belief, Axel wouldn’t take you to the Clock Tower on the first date. That’s a special place reserved for his close friends and you, if you ever go past the first base. But he definitely would just walk around Twilight Town and treat you to ice cream. You can never go wrong with that strategy.

Out of everyone, he’d flirt the most and also pull those Iconic Date Moves, like yawning just to slide his arm around your shoulder and whatnot. “Y/N, can you hold this for me?” “Axel this is your hand -”. You’d get to hear a lot about Roxas and Xion too.

Demyx :

Oh, Demyx doesn’t mind or really care about where you two go, as long as there’s some water around (so he can impress you with his powers) and absolutely zero heartless (so he doesn’t actually have to use his powers for fighting). I can totally see him just bringing you along one of his missions and then hiding with you at the Coliseum, just chatting under the shade.

He’d probably remember to grab some flowers for you at the last second - they’re a bit…d e a d and uhhhhh in horrible shape, but it’s the thought that counts, right ?  If you’re into music, Demyx would love to try and play your favorite songs or anything you request, cause not many people actually enjoy hearing his sitar.

Luxord :

Since Luxord only has two moods (adrenaline junkie and british gentleman), this date can go in two completely different ways. But don’t panic, he’s very polite and will let you decide. If you feel like having a more adventurous date, he’ll take you to either Port Royale or Neverland to steal a pirate’s ship.

If you want a more tame and safe date, then it’s Neverland (the safe part of it at least) or Wonderland. The date would go really well, he’d even teach you some card tricks if you’re interest. And in return you can just answer all of his questions about yourself, cause the dude is just naturally curious. It would take him a long time to talk more about himself though.

Marluxia :

You can expect Marluxia to go all out and be hella extra for this.  He’d leave little notes for you and a rose petal trail so you can find him and start the date. You two would go to the Red Queen’s gardens in Wonderland (because Beast’s garden is a little too fuckin dark for Marluxia’s taste, cough)

He’d also flirt and try to make you s w o o n with his smooth lines, but he’d be more subtle and gentle than Axel. Definitely gives you a shit ton of flowers so you can “have something to remember him by.” If you ever find more roses upon waking up then that’s just Marluxia asking you out on another date.

Larxene :

Larxene would, first of all, warn you to make this first date worthwhile or else there’ll be consequences. But no matter what you have planned, she’ll end up dragging to wherever she feels like going at the moment, complaining about how “she has to do everything herself.” Lovely.

If she’s feeling active and energetic, you bet she’ll drag you over to the Coliseum to blow off some steam killing heartless and fighting. You get extra Larxene points if you show her that you can fight alongside her - but it’s fine if you decide to just chill and cheer for her too.

Roxas :

Roxas is clueless when it comes to romance, so he’d stress over where you two should go. He’d be reluctant to take you to other worlds because he really doesn’t want to have more b e e f with Saix or risk you getting hurt, but he’s pretty easy to convince so don’t worry about that too much.

No matter what you two end up doing, he’ll take you to the Clock Tower to eat ice cream because that’s just a tradition at this point. He might even get cheeky and try to imitate Axel’s “Bet You Don’t Know Why The Sunset’s Red H U H ™” only to fail miserably. Will definitely ask if he can hold your hand.

Xion :

Same as Roxas, except that she has her shit together. Xion would take you to her favorite spot : that little beach on Destiny Islands to pick up seashells, build sandcastles or just have fun splashing each other in the water, then you two would see the sunset !

I can see her stuttering and just s t r u g g l i n g to start a conversation with you. Like Roxas, she might even explain you why the sunset is r e d - But give these two a break, Axel is literally the only person they can look up to. Xion would also tell you about the Papou fruits and then b l u s h cause “she totally didn’t mean that you two should share one so early, please don’t hate her.”

Of course I didn’t believe her and thought I wouldn’t do shit here.... Yet here we are today celebrating my birthday/first milestone on this blog. Wow, never knew my 69th birthday would involve Tumblr... 

I’ve learned a lot during my time here, and it’s still scary to believe that I was one decision away from not meeting all the friends I adore now. Besides learning how to use this god garbage website I was also able to learn a lot more about myself from all of the mutuals I’ve met here. How? Cause I was able to connect with many people and be myself without feeling the need to cover up the parts of me that I thought were ugly.  Although, I know this is only the beginning of my time here, but it’s still a huge milestone for someone with low expectations to begin with. 

So in all thank you to all of my lovely mutuals/friends. Whether we talk on a daily basis or not I love each and every one of you, and I hope for the mutuals that I’m silent with that one day we can start chatting and get to know each other better (although you might have to be the one to message first cause my ass is still anxious as F U C C)

I went back to see for the 69th time Ouma's L.Hotel scene and I think he goes into his neutral sprite when Saihara says 'didn't u say my feelings didn't matter?' And he answers that he was lying about that. This hurts when you take in count what happened in ch4 post-trial, when Saihara's words hit him like a meteor. Had it been other member of the gang who said those words to him I honestly think it wouldn't have destroyed his facade. It hurt like hell because IT WAS SAIHARA. I'm depressed now.

You’re right, anon! He definitely starts making his neutralsprites when Saihara begins actually getting upset in the love hotel scene andpointing out that Ouma was saying his feelings matter. To Saihara, Ouma’sinexplicable switching from one mood to another and his flippancy actuallyhurts, because as a detective Saihara is trying to figure him out but alsofeels like even if he succeeded, Ouma wouldn’t take him seriously anyway.

And Ouma seems to realize that he definitely crossed a linewith this one person in particular who he actually kind of sort of wants to figurehim out (even though he also doesn’t want it, because that would simultaneouslyjeopardize all his plans and ruin hiscool flippant phantom thief façade where he doesn’t have to commit to anythingever), and that’s why he starts getting serious in the middle of that scene.

He also, of course, gets very blank for a second there afterpushing Saihara on the bed and when Saihara starts freaking out. Part of thisis because I think he took it as a flat-out rejection—even though Saiharaclearly tries to get up off the bed after Ouma makes a beeline for the door andbasically says that he just wants to talkto Ouma. But Ouma’s definitely not the type to want to let his guard down inthe first place because he’s convinced he’s going to be met with rejection. It’seasy not to get let down about things if you don’t trust people in the firstplace.

Another part is because even within his own “ideal fantasy”where he and Saihara are supposed to be able to partake in any kind of romancehe wants, Ouma still can’t bring himself to actually do it. All his words about“you can do anything you want to me” and “let’s play more and more” amount tobasically a big bluff, and he knows it, because as much as he’d like to letthat happen, it also frustrates him that he wants it to happen in the firstplace.

Ouma spends so much time trying to figure Saihara out anddoesn’t want to get attached to literally anyone in the group, but even he can’tcontrol all his emotions, and that fact bewilders and frustrates him to no end.We know he only usually whips out the super-blank sprites when he’s beingentirely serious or when he’s actually caught off guard by something and has toreevaluate his next course of action. So we can clearly guess that he ran outof the room in such a hurry immediately after starting up his usual façade becausehe was doing the mental equivalent of, “Nope, nope, nope, I’m not attached, nope.” (Boy still can’t flirt.)

While these things are somewhat humorous in the context ofthe love hotel, they definitely hurt to go back and realize in other scenes,like what you mentioned about the Chapter 4 trial. I think you’re absolutelyright in that Ouma could have handled those kinds of words or accusationscoming from anyone else in the group. Hell, he expects them from the others. Had Momota or Maki accused him ofbeing pathetic or lonely or friendless, he probably wouldn’t have even blinked;he was full into his villain role and he already knew that was what theythought of him, and again, they couldn’t hurt him all that much specificallybecause he had made a point of not letting himself get attached to anything.

With Saihara though, it was different. For all that Oumaprobably did actually believe himself to be unattached at first, it’sundeniable when watching the Chapter 4 trial that he wanted Saihara tounderstand things about him. He wouldn’t have fought against Momota sofervently if he hadn’t been emphatic about getting Saihara to “choose his side”and admit that as a detective, suspecting and doubting people is a more naturalpart of the job than trusting them. He wouldn’t have helped Saihara through theinvestigation, or tried to give him so many hints so many times throughout allthe other trials, if he had been genuinely uninterested in him or didn’t wanthim to piece things together like a detective should.

There was some part of him that definitely wanted and evenexpected Saihara to immediately understand what he was doing at the end ofChapter 4, and that his speech was (in his own opinion) a necessary part of theact and of making the rest of them hate him. He thought Saihara had alreadyreached that level of understanding and it genuinely startled him when Saiharanot only didn’t understand him but couldn’tunderstand him, because he still hadn’t been letting him in. And while I thinkOuma would have loved beforehand to think that even if it was Saihara who didn’tget it, he still wouldn’t have cared because he “wasn’t attached,” realizingthat Saihara’s words actually hurt and that he did care about what he thought was what really caught him off guardthe most.

From Ouma’s perspective, the hints and clues he’d been droppingto Saihara were enormous. He thoughtthat as a detective, Saihara’s inclination should naturally be to doubt andsuspect others, and that of course he would understand where Ouma himself wascoming from, to some degree. But what he didn’t account for was that fromSaihara’s perspective, his hints and clues were nothing more than confusing andmisleading. Ouma made such a huge deal of not being able to trust others and ofdoubting others that he failed in the end to predict how such behavior andspeeches would only make it so that no one, not even Saihara, could fully trustor take him at his word even when he was genuinely trying to help.

It’s really sad. On a lighter note though, maybe if Oumaever actually knew how to flirt and actually admit to having attachment topeople instead of trying to beat his emotions down with a stick, he could avoiddigging himself into these kinds of holes. Try sending a love letter orsomething next time Ouma, not teasing the boy you like and being an enigmaticlittle shit.
