sol bufo who by all logic should be so extremely dead right now. should have died three times over in ezry. should have died in crown of dreams. turned to fucking stone last e. frog that should be so dead. frog that narratively should have been the character that was killed off to motivate the actual heroes of the story. except hes took on shroomrots spores and shaped himself into someone who could keep on going, and popping back up, no matter what.

and then he meets swag. who carved out his survival in blood and teeth and pain. who ran away all his life just so that he could survive, and stay alive. but by the time sol met him he was already long dead. he worked for mothership for years. hed already been alexandrited by the time we see him! no matter what sol couldve done, swag was sentenced to succumb to the fate mothership had always planned for him.

LMK is not a very popular Show unlike Ninjago. It is literally surviving on crumbs. As such there is a chance that this show would have LITERALLY BEEN CANCELLED just because Flying Bark couldn’t keep up anymore.

Flying Bark has a ton of shows and movies to work on, with so many deadlines on the clock to boot.

With LMK being less popular than say ATLA it is more than likely that it would’ve been abandoned and cancelled if the team didn’t make the call to switch studios.

So stop complaining about the animation change PLEASE it could’ve been SO MUCH worse.

on your phases: how are they determined? has there any instances you know of where a collector has two phases at the same time? (i.e waxing and gibbous, quarter and gibbous, etc.)

The Coordinator: No, that is not how phases work. There are two "complete" states, the new moon and the full moon. Any phase before the full moon is waxing, and any phase after is waning, with quarter, crescent, and gibbous signifying how much light there is on the moon. Despite being called a quarter, the first and final quarter moons are when the moon is half covered in light, much like how my face appears. A crescent is between the quarter and new moon, and the gibbous is between the quarter and full moon. So yes, someone could be a waxing gibbous but no one could be a quarter and gibbous because those are two contradicting, different things.

I’ve been reflecting a lot on the authoritarian personality recently and the further away I get from that book the more I realise it’s just like fundamentally incorrect. The scope of the research being primarily psychological in nature I think prevents it from reaching any coherent definition of fascism because fascism isn’t a primarily psychological problem lol. I think the book is strongest when Adorno is talking about antisemitism as a foundational part of fascism, and how antisemitism is like a comprehensive structuring force for people’s ideological outlooks, but the moment he or any of the researchers move away from that or try to psychologically profile their research participants it gets really messy. Their psychological discussion about family and its relationship to fascism is fairly interesting, and it was what convinced me that the nuclear family just needs to be fucking abolished completely, but I think that has more to do with the fact that the nuclear family as a social unit naturally fits with fascism because that is the social unit they want to structure society around.

idk I really like that book but it’s deeply flawed. It’s one of those things that you should read alongside people like Fanon and Cesaire, who offer a critique of, respectively, the colonial character of psychology and the colonial nature of fascism, two perspectives that are not present in the authoritarian personality at all. Like I think the best way to approach that book is to fundamentally disagree with its premise (searching for the existence of a fascist “personality” type), and then see what is left salvaging afterwards
