You don't think you've ever been in a room this quiet before. It almost felt like the silence that would surround you underwater, no it was worse, quieter. You looked down at the white shoes they'd put you in. They definitely weren't white anymore. Did they do that on purpose? To torment you? As if the smell of it constantly wasn't enough, now it was on your shoes and clothes.
You desperately tried to wipe yourself clean of the red stains, "please, please." the words repeated over and over again like a mantra in your brain. Your eyes burned and your vision blurred up with tears. This was it, you could feel a sob bubbling up in your chest. You needed to get out.
Your bottom lip quivered making a slight opening enough for your sob to escape through and break the silence, but before that could happen you heard a loud alarm it made your ears ring it was almost painful. You jumped, not having heard anything since the last game.. god could you even call it that?.. This was horrible.
You felt a hand touch your shoulder, since the first game your body had been on high alert so naturally your head snapped up your body pulling itself back a little in defense.
Your body relaxed a little once you saw him, Choi su-bong. He was the center of your world when you two were younger there wasn't a day that went by without him, he was practically family. His parents weren't always the best so you could recall times when he would spend months at your place your parents would've done anything to protect him,
but like every childhood friendship you two fell out. it's hard to say when but you two hadn't talked since the early years of middle school.
Seeing him here was a shock, you couldn't muster up the courage to talk to him at all yet. There was nothing to say. Not in your current situation.
"You need to eat.." He said softly, looking at you as if you'd break if his gaze was any less gentler. He sat down next to you keeping a small distance between the two of you.
You almost scoffed at that. "Eat?.. You can't be serious su-bong." Needless to say you didn't have an appetite. You looked over at the line forming infront of the guards that were handing out trays of food.
He smiled looking down and then back up at you "Come on.. you need to keep your strength up for the next game." He reached over, moving slowly and tucking a strand of loose hair behind your ear, a habit he'd picked up from when you were kids. You didn't like your hair getting in your face at all, he knew that.
Subconsciously you moved a little closer to him. There was so much that you wanted to say to him so when you started opening your mouth you weren't really sure what was about to come out.
"I miss you" of course.. you're quite literally in a life and death situation but that's the first thing your brain decided on.
he looked into your eyes and when you looked into his for a second you could see the younger version of him that you loved so deeply. A version of him without the purple hair and all the firey attitude. You saw him for who he was and you wished that everyone in here could see the same pure boy that you did.
You thought that maybe he saw something similar in your own eyes because he didn't say anything back instead he pulled you in and you found yourself pressed up against his chest.
You grabbed fistfuls of the back of his tracksuit jacket closing your eyes and as sick as it may sound you felt safe. In this god awful place you thought you'd never feel that way.
"What are you doing here?.." You said looking up at him with worried eyes.
"I could ask you the same thing.." He fired back. You didn't like his tone but you answered anyway.
"I'm not good at managing my money.. After i got fired from the only job that would hire me.. i couldn't find another one, and everything that i had saved.. Gone in a few weeks."
He nodded along as you spoke pursing his lips together.
"No but seriously, what are you doing here?.. from what i've seen, your life is going great.. 'Thanos'.."
He shook his head a bitter smile forming on his face.
"Fame doesn't always equal money.. i'm in debt."
The way he kept his answer so short made you wonder if there's more that he didn't want to tell you but you didn't push.
He looked down at your face gently rubbing your arm as he spoke.
"i miss you too.. alot, i'm sorry i didn't reach out.. i just didn't know what to say you know?.. i didn't know where to start.."
You nodded you knew that feeling all to well.
"I know.. i felt the same way."
He squeezed your arm a little. When he looked over at the line he'd realized it had gotten alot shorter so he excused himself before going over and grabbing his tray, he wasn't very hungry himself but he needed to get you to eat something.
He made his way back over and set the tray down infront of you.
"Come on.. just a couple bites."
With him around you felt a little more comfortable eating he was a great distraction from everything going on around you.
You ate in silence and he ate some too, he wanted to encourage you.
"So, should i start calling you thanos too?"
He furrowed his eyebrows chuckling but the look you gave him said it was a genuine question.
"No way, It sounds so weird coming from you.. you can stick to my real name.." He handed you the milk gesturing for you to drink up.
"Actually it's nice that you still call me by my real name.. you're different from them y'know?, the best parts of my childhood are tied to you.. i owe it all to you.. Seriously, you mean so much to me, i want you to know that okay?.. we'll stick together in here"
You nodded setting the milk down on the tray. You did think it was nice that you could call him something that seprated you from everone else.
The way he worded that last part though made you a little anxious, 'we'll stick together in here' What about when you're out of here?.. No, you couldn't lose him again.
"Hey, we're gonna be okay, we'll make it out, and as soon as we pay off our debts we'll go somewhere nice.. like we talked about when we were younger remember?.."
As kids you two had always dreamt about traveling, you'd watch the planes go by during recess and talk about where you think it's headed and where you'd want to go, back then everything seemed possible.
"i'm scared.." you whispered, he put his hand on your cheek. You had doubts that you'd even make it out of here to see if he'd stick to his word.
"I'm here.. we'll get through it together, you're safe with me.. you're safe."
his thumb stroked your cheek and you closed your eyes putting your hand on his and pressing it a little further into your cheek, craving the warmth of his palm on your skin.
"i love you.."
He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead.
"i love you too.. always."

The Heartbreak Chronicles
Edward The Freak Munson was your first love.
(In more than one way).
(None of them ended up well).
High school Edward was something. Jean and leather, band t-shirts and patches. The shiny chains were still there. He had picked up guitar and stuck with it, as you found out at the talent show. His hair and his opinions had grown.
And his big, sad eyes were still there.
He had a reputation now: dangerous, freaky, dark. Maybe it was true. Maybe it had always been. It was just that people took a while to realize. He was the same over dramatic, fun, imaginative boy you had lost. Except that he took his drama all the way up to the tabletops of the cafeteria now.
It was hard not to enjoy the show. It was even harder to wonder how would it be to know him again. He had so much determination and sarcasm, he was so over the way the world worked, so full of disdain and passion… As someone who had served under the Queen’s orders- even if it was a fantasy queen, years ago, in the battlefield that was kindergarten-, you wanted to be loved by him.
How would anyone not want to be worthy of his love?
You knew better, of course. He had distanced himself. And yeah, maybe it had been a long time ago, but why should you give him another chance? No, sir. You didn’t have many things, but your pride was something no one could take from you.
Besides, he had never asked for another chance.
But he was fucking everywhere. He had founded the coolest club in the whole state. His van took up half the parking lot, a lighthouse in the middle of a naked shore. His hair was impossible to miss in the hallway, and your lunches were plagued by him and his stupidly interesting speeches. He even showed up at every party, ready to supply the sheeples with the only best weed in Hawkins.
And not once, in any of those scenarios, were you the object of his attention.
You could have stayed away, of course. It was just a matter of willpower. But your curiosity was bigger. Also, the sheet to sign up for Hellfire Club ended up being taped to the wall right next to your locker. It had to be a sign, if fate could be any more literal: just sign the sign.
It was a terrible idea. Made your nerves skyrocket and your appetite disappear, and your hands were trembling more than usual. You promised yourself you wouldn’t go back if it turned out to be as awful of an experience as you feared.
It was much, much worse: your first day at Hellfire was amazing. You had actual fun- something you hadn’t had in years, if you were honest. The boys were nice in a warm way, talking over each other and, frankly, more excited about the game than you. It was great, because it didn’t make you feel like a guest, but like you belonged.
And Edward welcomed you.
After years without talking to you, without even glancing at you, he smiled and bowed, arms wide as if to show you his kingdom.
“Be welcome to our humble table, mighty lady. Be prepared to face more adventure than you’ve ever heard of, more danger than you can fear and to conquer more victories than anyone can dream.”
He acted that way with everyone. And he lied.
You had heard of that much adventure, sure as hell. Actually, some of his adventures sounded familiar- they were detailed evolutions of childhood games.
But you fell for it anyway. It was good to be back home.
Even if he stabbed you in the back every now and then.
After the first session, as everyone was tidying up, he had cocked his head at you.
“We used to play together when we were kids, didn’t we? You’re not as boring as you look.”
And he had the audacity to wink, as if it would do anything but burn. So you punched back.
“Oh… Did we? I have a pretty bad memory. Sorry.”
Cue innocent and nonchalant shoulder shrug, finished off with a tight lip smile.
The second time Edward Munson broke your heart was worse, because you saw it coming. And you still followed him, like a reflection on a dark mirror, like you had no choice but to help him shatter you.
Second part! The next one is Eddie's POV! Please comment or reblog if you like it, that really motivates me to keep writing! Also, my inbox is always open (not just for requests and ideas about fics, you can also come say hi and tell me about your day or whatever you want to talk about). and besides, who has ever shown him mercy?
i know the fandom has different takes on this man. and a lot of it is... unsavory, to me at least, who loves him best out of all the four characters. so this is just something that struck me really hard while watching.
in the moments before he jumps off the boat, kant waited. maybe for bison to show mercy, to take pity on him, to maybe show him some humanity and spare him this torture. kant had already told him before that he is afraid of the ocean, and in this scene he reiterates it. for all the lies he has told, he has never lied about himself (through omission : yes, directly : no). and maybe it's just his last resort, hoping that bison's love (or whatever of it was left there anyway) would soften him a little and make him take back those words.
he waits and hopes, and the moment he realises this too is just a card he has been dealt that can't be changed, he makes his choice and jumps.
now let's flashback a little.
we have a boy, in the middle of the ocean, presumably having lost his parents. he grows up with the responsibility of an older brother — but that's in name only, because he has to be a father, a mother and a sibling, all at the same time. for babe to have grown up kind and empathetic and sorted the way we see him to be, all the credit goes to kant. kant is 29 and babe is in highschool, so he must be what, 18 at best? now imagine an 11 year old orphan having to shoulder the responsibilities of not only himself, but his newborn brother as well (i am assuming the drowning accident happened around this timeline from how young baby kant seems to be in the flashback).
to nurture a child into teenage while juggling work, schooling, whatever else. kant probably didn't exist in any of those moments. maybe the little bits of him that bloomed into existence happened when he was with bison. when he fell head over heels for a man who could snuff out his life in the blink of an eye.
throughout the show we see him put himself last. stealing cars because he needs to feed his brother, getting landed in a suicide mission because if he is out of the picture, his brother won't survive. falling for a man he can't be with, whose actions he cannot predict because they come from different parts of life.
and what if kant had thought chris was right about bison? he didn't get shot dead, but he sure got kidnapped, his trauma made into a mockery. and even here, as he waits for bison to change his mind, he understands him. not once do we see kant defend himself besides saying, “i was forced to”, and ultimately, none of it matters. because he knows he hurt the one he claimed to love. he knows the nature of a hitman. he knew he'd end up at death's door but he went in hoping it won't come down to that, because the alternative was his brother suffering. and he makes peace with the card he's been dealt once again.
and through all this, who was there for him? who showed him mercy? who nurtured his heart?
so like he has done every single time, kant takes a breath, shuts his eyes tight, and takes a plunge.

The first time you met Nagi Seishiro, you were about to go into your first year of middle school, curled up on the side of the street struggling to wrap a bandage around your left arm.
It was sunset then, and the world was quiet aside from the loud buzzing of cicadas and the occasional car passing by.
Nagi had just left a tiny convenience store located on the edge of the street, his phone in his hands as he tapped away at the game he was currently fixated on. Knowing the way back home by heart, he began to walk in that direction, unaware of his surroundings.
It was only when he tripped over something rather sturdy did he finally forcefully take his eyes off the device in his hand. His grip on his phone tightened. He was determined not to drop it and risk the screen cracking again.
Not paying any mind to what he just tripped over, he sighed in relief that he did not drop his phone, and patted down his pants.
“HEY!”
A loud yell drew him from his stupor. He slowly turned, coming face to face with a scowl. He blinked at you for a few seconds, before he faced you properly and raised a brow.
“Yes?”
“Look where you’re going, asshole! You tripped over me!” You snapped, patience wearing thin.
His shoulders slumped. Now that you stood in front of him, you realized just how tall he actually was. He kind of looked like a third year. It made you all the more aggravated. You hated anyone that could look down on you like he was.
“Oh. Sorry, I guess.” He shrugged, acting as if what just happened was not a big deal. “You have a bad mouth.”
That was the last straw. Your fists clenched tightly, your nails digging into your skin as your eye twitched. You ignored the pain in your palms and challenged his stoic stare.
“So what?” You crossed your arms over your chest. “Is that a problem?”
He shrugged again and looked down at his phone. “I don’t really care.”
He got ready to leave, when he cast one last glance at you, and his eyes landed on the now bloody bandage that came undone from your arm. The longer he stared, the more he realized he'd seen you before.
He racked his brain for answers, sifting through each memory to try and remember where he’d seen you. Meanwhile, you were silent, fidgety. You did not enjoy people staring at you. It made you anxious, like they were trying to challenge you in some way.
This weird boy who you did not understand and you deemed an asshole for not watching where he walked made you feel quite nervous. You knew him from school. He was the boy who was exceptionally good at volleyball.
You could remember how fascinated you were watching him play during gym class. He had all the talent you could only hope for, and the envy had bubbled up inside you, growing exponentially. Despite your envy, you quickly forgot about him after you no longer had to be in the same proximity as him, and you went about your life without thinking of him again.
Until now.
Nagi finally remembered where he had seen you. It was as if a lightbulb had suddenly appeared above his head, and his eyes widened slightly in surprise. You were that one kid that liked to pick a fight with anyone taller than you.
He first caught a glimpse of you in the nurse’s office when he had tripped outside during gym class and cut open his knee. As he was waiting for the nurse to return with gauze, he heard a commotion outside the office and saw your rather short form tackle a boy twice your size.
With the strength of a lion tucked inside that small body of yours, you refused to give up the fight until the nurse came back and rushed out into the hall to separate the two of you.
Nagi remembered watching your face fall in defeat when the nurse said to go to the principal’s office and that your parents would need to be called.
“You’re that kid.” The words slipped from his mouth before he could stop them. “You like to pick fights with people.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, he watched you deflate like a balloon right in front of him. Your face fell, and your arms dropped to your sides. He wondered what it was that made you so upset. Was it the reputation you had around the school?
Just then, he saw the loose bandage on your arm completely come undone. It fell to the ground and pooled around your feet. Time stopped, and he stared in absolute horror at the mess of stitches on your arm. You did nothing to pick up the bandages. In fact, you barely moved.
He would’ve thought you to be a statue if not for the slight twitching of your fingers. You tapped idly against your thigh, your eyes blank as you stared at the ground. He watched closely as your fingers danced in a certain rhythmic movement, and he soon realized you were tapping in morse code.
S.O.S.
He barely had time to register that it was morse code. His focus went back to the ghastly stitches on your arm. They looked as if they were done by someone with no experience whatsoever, but there was clearly an attempt.
The wound itself did not look any better, and he wondered if you had even cleaned it all. He noticed a few other scars littered on your arm. They were smaller and less noticeable, but his intense stare had caught sight of them easily.
“How’d you hurt yourself?” He questioned softly, unaware he had asked that out loud instead of inside his head.
You did not answer. Not right away at least. With a heavy sigh, you collapsed back against the fence you were previously leaning on before he had tripped over you.
“I didn’t do anything, you muttered with a tinge of venom in your voice. “It was someone else… But no one ever believes me, so as far as anyone is concerned, I did this to myself.”
He didn’t know how to respond to that. Instead, he picked up the bandages you dropped, careful not to touch the parts covered in blood, and told you to wait here.
Where would I even go? You thought. It’s not like I’m going anywhere anytime soon.
Within a few minutes, he was rushing out of the convenience store and across the street again, a pack of gauze and a water bottle in his hands. His phone was now tucked into his pants pocket. He kneeled down next to you and gently reached for your arm.
“Did you try to stitch this up yourself?”
He did not need an answer. He already knew it, though he felt the need to ask anyway. You nodded, so slight he almost missed it. He pulled a pair of scissors from the second plastic bag wrapped around his arm and carefully cut the string.
With gentle hands, he removed the stitches to the best of his ability and dropped them onto the bandages from earlier. You tried your best not to move the whole time, but he could tell from your scrunched expression that you were in more than a bit of pain.
He unscrewed the cap of the water bottle. “This might hurt.” He poured water over your wound, causing you to bite back a scream.
“I don’t know how to do stitches, so…” He trailed off. “So I just got this.” He held up the gauze he bought and carefully wrapped up your arm.
As soon as he was finished, he threw the gross bandages into the now empty plastic bag and glanced at you. Your brows were still furrowed and your lip was still tugged between your teeth.
He stood up, taking a look at the sky. The sun was almost fully over the horizon by now, and he was likely late for dinner. He needed to leave now and get back home. As he turned to do just that, he almost missed the slight crack of your voice.
“Thank you.”
Were it not for the temporary silence of the cicadas, he would have missed your words entirely, and it would not have paved the way for your future with Nagi Seishiro.
The next time you saw Nagi was in your second year of middle school.
A white volleyball came flying out of the gym one day after school, narrowly missing his nose. It fell to the ground with a plop a foot away from him. Rushed footsteps sounded from behind him as he picked it up, and he could hear the yells of the volleyball team from the open doors of the gym.
A familiar voice entered his ears. “I got it!”
Moments later, you were rushing out of the gym doors, sweat lining your temple and your collarbone. An exhausted expression rested on your face, and fresh bandages were wrapped around the same arm he tended to a year prior.
You stopped as you looked up at him, your eyes flashing with recognition as you took in the tall boy standing before you with your volleyball in his hands. You swallowed thickly, fiddling with the hem of your black t-shirt.
He handed you the volleyball. “Here you go.”
“…Thanks.” You hesitantly took it from his hands and hugged it to your stomach. You stared at him warily for a moment before turning around to head back into the gym.
“You play volleyball?” He asked suddenly, shocking you as you were not expecting him to make small talk.
You turned to face him again and nodded. “Yeah… My dad is a fan, so as soon as I was old enough to play, he signed me up for lessons,” You said.
There was a pause, and he could tell by the awkward look in your eyes that you were debating on if you should share more or not. In the end, you caved.
“I’m not that good. So I mainly just play because it’s fun.” You shrugged. "...I should get back to practice.”
You left before he could get another word out. Later that day, when you were walking home from practice, you saw Nagi again— this time walking out of his house. His eyes met yours, and you both stared at one another in surprise. You lived in the same neighborhood.
You never went as far as to consider that you and Nagi were friends. Not at first, at least. You never had friends— not after your reputation of being a short-tempered, fight-starter circulated around the school. Even your volleyball team was not a fan of you, despite the fact that you were surprisingly good when it came to teamwork.
Everyone was inclined to stay away from you. Either out of fear or hatred, you weren’t sure. But as time passed, you came to accept being the loner who always ended up in the principal’s office.
That was until Nagi offered you a can of soda after your failed attempt of getting the faulty vending machine to work. It was late in the afternoon on a Friday in Spring of your first year of high school. Up until that point, the two of you only interacted at odd times when you just so happened to come across each other in the halls or walking out of your houses.
No words were ever shared between you, only slight nods of the head and small waves in greeting. Now, though, Nagi was taking a seat next to you on the staircase, placing a can of soda next to your foot. He pulled out his phone, loaded up a game, and handed it to you.
“Wanna play?”
You blinked at him in surprise, before nodding. You got past four levels in the game before dying, letting out a groan of frustration. He leaned over your shoulder, watching the screen intently. Occasionally, he’d chime in with a word of advice, or ask if you wanted him to do that level for you. You two sat there on that staircase for what felt like hours, before a staff member came and told you to leave.
After that day, you would meet on the stairs everyday after your volleyball practices, playing that very same game together and attempting to outdo each other’s high scores. This routine continued, until one day you invited him to the park with you to play there.
You didn’t consider Nagi Seishiro a friend at first. But now, you couldn’t imagine your days without him latched to your side.

Send Off
Summary/Details: As the attendant to the Seven Avatars of Sin, it’s your job to send them off when they go to school each morning. Fluffy, a little funny. Nightbringer-based, but no spoilers really.
As an attendant, it’s your job to see the brothers off to school in the morning. Once you get changed and make it down the stairs, they’re all ready for you; lined up like a bunch of school children queuing for lunch in a middle school cafeteria. They bounce on their heels and chatter excitedly amongst themselves as you descend the stairs - again, like children.
Mammon whines and squirms if he doesn’t get his usual head pat and forehead kiss; but practically sprints out the door after, shouting denial about ever showing such uncool behaviour. Levi is also anxious to get his pat and kiss, and he nods obediently as you remind him to eat the lunch you made him and to not get cup noodles from the vending machine again.
Satan and Asmo squash you in a hug sandwich for their kisses, bidding you farewell pretty easily. You usually have to hand Satan a textbook you’ve finally found buried in the piles of books in his room, and he clutches it to his chest with a thankful smile as he heads out the door. Asmo follows close behind him, giving you a twirl. He doesn’t step outside the door unless you give him confirmation that his outfit looks beautiful enough.
You feel a familiar hand on your shoulder, wanting to get your attention as you wave goodbye to the fourth and fifth-born siblings. When you spin around, there’s Beel, with Belphie slumped against him. In your early days as an attendant, Beel would have his sleepy twin slung over his shoulder… But, never one to pass up the opportunity to be spoiled, the youngest brother has started trudging to the front door on his feet (supported by Beel) to guarantee he can be awake for your send-off kiss. You giggle at the adorable sight. Calmly, you open your arms and let Beel and Belphie lean and fall into your embrace, respectively.
A third, and final, weight leans against your back - and you feel arms and wings alike embrace you, Beel and Belphie all in one, big, warm hug. You know it’s Lucifer, but save his pride by holding the teasing remark on the tip of your tongue.
The three brothers reluctantly detach from you and wave goodbye after you give each of their cheeks a small kiss, leaving you behind as they walk out the door.
You wave back. A content, fuzzy, fond feeling fills your chest. You smile softly, looking at the front door to your Devildom home as you let a few moments pass…
… And you walk to the front door yourself, opening it. The seven brothers’ faces greet you, all various degrees of satisfied and giddy. You sigh.
“Is it really necessary to send you guys off if I’m going to school, too?”

The Uncertain Melancholy of Our Youth
I’ve been sorting out how I feel about the end of Our Youth, and I’ve yet to arrive at something concrete that I want to say. I’ve been reading reactions from others to see if someone else could vocalize what I’m feeling, and in the process realized I wanted to talk about Our Dating Sim again.
Like many others, I’m left with a feeling of melancholy from this show. I feel a lot like @small-dark-and-delicious in that I think this ending felt very realistic for them, because Minase has never had friends he can count on, especially the “bespectacled demon” (@chicademartinica). I find myself empathizing a lot with @asiandramas-takeover about how bleak the future feels for them.
With this series overall, I’m a bit frustrated thematically. I was glad to have @wen-kexing-apologist offering insights about the manhwa while we were watching, because, like @worm-priest, I don’t think we did much with the different kinds of people theme.
However, I am left with some genuinely warm feelings for the characters and the actors. I loved mj’s post reflecting on how Hirukawa connects for people who dread becoming like their parents (@forcebook). Like @memiaatanonymous, I really enjoyed Motojima Junsei in this; I especially loved the way he managed his physicality and expressions when Minase had to flee Hirukawa’s house before the dad began beating Hirukawa again.
I also agree with @delasaria-blog that Minase in the special does a lot to close out this story; I don’t think I’d feel as positively as I do at the end of this without the effectiveness of the special episode. The implied growth of these two into a relatively stable couple (@incandescentflower) worked well for, especially because Minase was left with separation anxiety (@lurkingshan). I also really liked the way the show approached a closeted couple’s feelings about marriage as an inevitability (@jemmo).
I think it was @theside-b comparing this to the disappointment I know I felt at the end of Love is Better the Second Time Around that got me thinking about Our Dating Sim. In that show, we spend the majority of our time in the present with Shin Ki Tae pursuing Lee Wan again after Lee Wan abandoned him at the end of high school. Our journey with them is about how Lee Wan hurt Ki Tae and himself, and the consequences of Lee Wan's decision. We focus there on how Lee Wan has to grapple with the fact that Ki Tae was open to his feelings.
I think most of why I’m feeling a bit unfulfilled by this project is that I had hoped we’d spend more time in the present. The opening sequence had me waiting in anticipation for their eventual reunion and reconciliation. I had hoped we’d spend the bulk of the show on that, like in Our Dating Sim, rather than on the events leading to their separation. I think I set myself up for this because I brought too much of that to the table.
Reflecting on what the show did or didn’t do, I don’t think there was much for me to gain from seeing Hirukawa and Minase’s separate montages, though I think it would have been interesting to see Minase getting lonelier and see where he and Hirukawa lost touch over the phone incident. I personally feel like I’d have liked to see more of them getting back together and rebuilding trust, because I felt myself pulling away from this show as it spiraled over Hirukawa’s life getting worse in the middle. There was almost a really great moment of Minase trying to step forward and use his voice only to be silenced by the adults and friends in his life.
Final Verdict: 8, Recommended With Reservations. I’m not sure how I will feel about this show in the long term, and I want to thank everyone linked above for sharing their thoughts, and all the gifmakers included for their creations. There is a useful kind of melancholy here that I personally enjoy as a person who absolutely loved All of Us Strangers (2023) last year. I am always the type who, even though I know we’re seeing marked improvement in many categories, cannot erase the scars I carry from what I survived. I struggle to find a solid coherent thought I feel coming from this one, and I hope to read more compelling reflections in the weeks to come.

I think my ideal Steph, Cass, and Tim dynamic would be that they're all best friends, but they can not all hang out together. Like, if you ask any one of them who their best friend is they genuinely will not be able to pick between the other two, but all three of them together triggers each of their insecurities in the worst way and always leads to a fight.
Like, Steph and Cass are so affectionate with each other, and constantly flirting and Tim assumes their teasing, but what if they're not, and oh god is he third wheeling on a date between his ex-girlfriend and his sister? They don't actually want him here, they invited him to be nice and he was to oblivious to realize it wasn't genuine. He should leave. But before he can come up with a believable excuse they've changed topics and... hang on, did Steph just say her dad threw a book at her once? Because so much of Steph and Cass's relationship is built on an understanding that they won't make a big deal when they mention something messed up about their past that they just say stuff like that, but Tim does not have that same understanding. So Tim hears that and instead of rolling with it, it's "Steph you can't just say that like it's not a big deal... why is Cass laughing? You can't laugh at that it's fucked up! I don't care that it was a long time ago!" And now Cass is confused and Steph is angry and Tim feels like shit for probably ruining what they wanted to be a date and frustrated that he's being treated like he's overreacting despite being the only one with a normal reaction to child abuse. Mostly he's terrified that he screwed this whole thing up somehow and neither of them is going to want to hang out with him again.
Meanwhile Steph and Tim are so intrinsically linked to each other. They've shared things they will never share with anyone else, they were each others first love. And Cass understands that, she does, but it's hard sometimes seeing how easy they are with each other. The way Steph knows Tim's upset without having to read his body langue the way Cass does or Tim can predict exactly how late Steph will be to any given situation. More than that though, what truly makes her want to hide away from them, is the history they both had but didn't share. The sly comments about Tim looking like a character Cass has never heard of or jokes that make no sense but send Steph into laughing fits. The kind that when she asks are brushed off with "it was an old meme" or "just a show from when we were kids". The reminders that she isn't normal, she can never really be like them. If she doesn't ask most of the time it doesn't occur to them to explain, it seems so obvious to them. They start doing a synchronized dance from some movie that came out when they were in middle school and Cass slips away into the shadows. Later she gets a string of concerned text that slowly turn angry when she doesn't answer. Cass never tells them what was wrong.
And it's hard for Steph to look at Cass and Tim and not feel jealous, because more than just being friends, they're siblings. They are full members of the club, Bruce's children, let into the fold in a way she never can be. She doesn't even want to be anymore if she's being honest, but it still stings. They'll casually mention family dinner or reference inside jokes from the last Wayne charity whatever and Steph will feel the growing desire in her chest that she can not, under any circumstances, let anyone see. The desire that has caused her so much pain, she will not give it control over her again. And Cass calls Tim Robin sometimes, and he calls Cass Batgirl in return, and Steph has to bite back the urge to scream at them that she was Robin too! She is also a Batgirl! But it doesn't matter because she wasn't Cass's Robin or Tim's Batgirl, and it drives her insane that they're romanticizing that time, because don't they remember how much of an asshole Bruce was back then? And now Tim is mad at her for bring up the past as if they're not the ones who started it, and Cass is assuring her that Bruce has changed, and maybe he has, but it's to fucking late! He already ruined any chance of Steph every feeling fully comfortable with her place in their lives. So she storms off, fuming, leaving a baffled Tim and Cass to go enjoy their stupid family dinner.
So yeah, they are best friends. They all love each other more than they know how to say, and trust each other more than anyone else in the world. But they can never all hang out together. That only ever ends in disaster.
#batfamily#batfam#stephanie brown#tim drake#cassandra cain#listen i also love all three of them being friends#i'm working on a whole fic about these three becoming each others support network#but in canon i think they should be messy as fuck with each other#also i am team: of all the wayne siblings#cass and tim are the closest to what actual siblings should be#like /maybe/ damian and dick are closer than cass and tim#but their dynamic is very far removed from normal sibling dynamics#spoiler#red robin#batgirl#black bat#batgirl ii#batgirl iii#robin iii#robin iv

ꕀ ﹒Under the Same Sky
PAIRING // KARASU TABITO X GN!READER
SUMMARY // Amid years of playful rivalry, Karasu Tabito subtly reveals his long-held feelings for you during a rainy walk home, leaving you questioning the true nature of your relationship.
CONTENTS // oneshot, fluff, academic rivals to lovers, pre blue lock, ooc (??) karasu. wc 681
Karasu Tabito had always been good at keeping secrets. His talent for masking emotions was as sharp as his instinct on the soccer field or his knack for solving equations in record time. But there was one secret he couldn’t shake, no matter how much he tried: he’d liked you since middle school.
Not that you’d ever notice.
You were his academic rival, after all. The one person who could make his blood race for reasons he’d never admit. Since the day you walked into his life—head held high, confidence radiating like the sun—Karasu had been hooked. Not that he’d ever let it show. Instead, he let the rivalry take center stage, a perfect excuse to keep you close without revealing too much.
It was late in the evening after school, and the two of you were stuck in the library. Finals were around the corner, and neither of you would back down from the unspoken competition of who could study harder—or longer. The rain pattered against the tall windows, the only sound besides the occasional rustle of pages and the rhythmic tapping of your pen against the table.
“Do you always fidget when you’re stuck on a problem?” Karasu teased, leaning back in his chair. His sharp eyes flicked up from his notes to you, a smug grin tugging at his lips.
You shot him a glare, tapping your pen harder just to annoy him. “Do you always run your mouth when you’re pretending to study?”
“Pretending?” he echoed, feigning offense. “I’ll have you know, I’m a genius at multitasking.”
“You’re a genius at being obnoxious.”
He chuckled, kicking his legs up onto the empty chair beside you. “That too.”
By the time the library announced its impending closure, the rain had only gotten worse. You gathered your notes and textbooks, trying to figure out how to make it to the train station without ruining all your hard work.
Karasu slung his bag over his shoulder, lingering as you struggled to balance everything. “You really gonna walk in this storm?”
“Do I have a choice?” you muttered, double-checking that your notes were safely tucked away.
He shrugged, his usual smirk replaced by something softer. “Guess not. But you could let me carry that.”
You blinked, caught off guard. “Why? So you can hold it over my head later?”
“Nah,” he said casually, but his tone was surprisingly genuine. “Just thought I’d help.”
You hesitated, but eventually handed him one of your textbooks. “Fine. But if you drop it, I’m never letting you live it down.”
“Deal.”
The two of you walked side by side under the dim glow of streetlights, the rain soaking through your shoes as Karasu balanced your book in one hand and held his bag with the other.
“You know,” he said after a long stretch of silence, “we’ve been doing this for a while.”
“Doing what?”
“This. The whole ‘rivals’ thing.”
You glanced at him. “What about it?”
“It’s just...” He trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s kinda funny, isn’t it? How we’re always trying to one-up each other.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Funny how?”
He shrugged, staring straight ahead. “I dunno. Guess I just... don’t mind it as much as I used to.”
That made you pause. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Karasu tilted his head, smirking down at you. “You’re sharp, aren’t you? Figure it out.”
You frowned, trying to decipher the meaning behind his words. But before you could ask, he changed the subject, his voice light and teasing again.
“You know, I’m still gonna beat you on the next test.”
“Oh, please.” You scoffed, rolling your eyes. “Not if I have anything to say about it.”
“Keep dreaming,” he said with a laugh, but the faintest hint of pink dusted his cheeks as he glanced away, hiding his expression.
And for the first time, as the two of you walked through the rain, you couldn’t help but wonder if there was something more behind his playful words—something he wasn’t quite ready to say aloud.

NOT SICK!
Written for @steddiebingo Countdown to Midnight Prompt: Sick Fic
Rating: T | WC: 856 Thank you @oh-stars for betaing!!
Eddie watches as Steve slowly sniffs and coughs his way through his morning routine and stumbles into the kitchen with a groan.
Eddie flashes him a bright smile. “Morning. How’re ya feelin’?”
Steve sniffs loudly, grabbing a mug out of the cabinet. “I’m fine.” His voice comes out all garbled from his stuffy nose.
“You sound sick.” He leans forward with his elbows on the counter, resting his chin on his hands.
Steve rolls his eyes. “I’m not sick.” He promptly sneezes into the crook of his elbow.
Eddie raises his eyebrows pointedly at him.
Steve shakes his head. “I’m not sick! I have to go to work.”
Steve gets close to Eddie, trying to grab the canister full of tea but Eddie grabs his wrist and pulls him in close. Eddie sticks his hand on Steve’s forehead, ignoring his groan of protest. “Sweetheart, you have a fever.”
Steve swats his hand away and grabs the tea. “It’s just hot in here.”
Eddie sighs, letting him go and crossing his arms over his chest. “You can’t go to work like this. You’ll get all the kids sick.”
Steve slumps, leaning on the counter. “It’s the first day back from break. I can’t miss today!”
Eddie leans forward and presses a kiss to Steve’s cheek and puts his hands on Steve’s shoulders. “I know how much you miss the kids. But you’re sick. And they need time to get a sub so you can’t do your denial dance much longer.”
Steve sighs, letting Eddie pull him in for a hug. “I’ll call the school.”
Eddie pats his back and nods. “I think that’s probably a good idea.”
Steve grumbles again and makes his way back upstairs. While he calls the school, Eddie starts gathering supplies to bring up to their room. Box of tissues, bag of cough drops, nyquil, Steve’s abandoned tea, his book from the living room, and his favorite blanket. He sets everything up on Steve’s bedside table just as he comes in, back in his pajamas.
He huffs in annoyance as he climbs back into bed. “You didn’t have to do all that. I can take care of myself.”
Eddie sighs. “I know you can, baby. But let me help.”
Steve yawns, snuggling down into the bed, his face softening when Eddie leans down to kiss his forehead. “Sorry. I just hate being sick.”
Eddie huffs out a laugh. “Really? I never would have guessed.”
He looks up at Eddie with big, pleading eyes. “Do you have to work today?”
Eddie sighs, putting his hands on his hips. “For a little bit. I have that draft due in a few days.”
Steve pouts. “Can you work in here?”
“I don’t want to keep you up, sweetheart.”
Steve shakes his head. “I’ll still nap. I promise.”
Eddie sighs. “How about I cuddle with you until you fall asleep, then I’ll go work in my office?”
Steve nods, flipping the covers over so Eddie can climb beneath them. He scoots in close to Steve, pulling him against his chest. “Go to sleep, baby.”
-
Eddie is hunched over his laptop a few hours later, so close to finishing a scene he just needs to focus a little long–
“Babe?”
Eddie sighs, quickly finishing the sentence he was in the middle of before making his way down the hall to their room. “You okay, sweetheart?”
Steve shakes his head. “I woke up and you were gone.”
Eddie smirks at him and walks to the edge of the bed and pushes Steve’s hair out of his face, letting his hand linger on his forehead. “You’re still warm. Did you take anything?”
Steve groans and shakes his head. Eddie sighs and huffs out a laugh. “Of course not.”
He grabs the cough syrup off the table and pours it in the little cup, holding it out for Steve.
Steve pouts and looks up at Eddie with big, sad eyes. “I hate that stuff.”
Eddie nods. “I know.” He puts it closer to Steve’s mouth with a pointed look.
Steve sighs but opens his mouth and lets Eddie pour the liquid in as he grimaces and whines about it. Eddie rolls his eyes and sets the cup back on the table. “I’ll go make you some tea.” He leans down and kisses Steve’s temple before turning to leave.
Steve grabs his wrist and Eddie turns back with a smirk. “What, baby?”
Steve looks up with pleading eyes. “Will you put some honey in it?”
Eddie chuckles. “Of course I can, sweetheart.”Steve grins and rubs his thumb over Eddie’s wrist before turning over and snuggling into the pillows. Eddie heads downstairs and to the kitchen. He grabs a mug from the cupboard, Steve’s favorite tea, and– “Shit.” Eddie stares at the empty spot on the shelf where the honey usually sits. “No fucking honey?” Eddie shakes his head and walks out of the kitchen, down the hall to the closet in the entryway to grab his coat and stuff his feet into his shoes. He pauses at the bottom of the stairs and calls up to Steve. “Be right back, baby!”

I remember seeing this guy talk about raising his sons and it kind of made me think of a modern AU Dadan and how I think she would also use one of the methods this guy mentioned. I don't remember the guy who posted or how long ago it was before it resurfaced in my brain, but essentially. he knew his boys needed to rough house, get out the energy of being well behaved all day so he bough a few gym mats and punching dummy's and threw these kids (lightly) around. Which, in of its self, is an amazing thing to give a small boy? a place to be rough and tumble and loud, an outlet for the exhaustion of the day and a place where they could actually practice their strength.
Now the ASL brothers are by no means as gentle and really they're fighting with teeth and claws regardless. but I love the mental image of like. After hours of these boys fighting every second of the day. who gets the first bath, who gets the bigger sandwich, who has to sit middle in the car, who gets the good snack or the last serving or the shower or the top bunk. or whatever other reason they decide to have a BRAWL IN THE FUCKING LIVING ROOM. Dadan finally gave in. going round back of an gymnasium she manages to score some old worn out tumble mats. drags them out to the shed and says "this is where you fight. not in the bedroom. not in my kitchen. not at school. here. and the only rule is you cant cause enough physical injury to have CPS called in my ass again."
now when an adult gives you a round about way to let you beat your siblings ass? you're gonna take it. and the collection grew, second hand boxing gloves, pool noodles cardboard shields and the dangerous stay piece of bamboo. they had their battle arena and would run home to settle a fight from hours before. And also gave Dadan a reason to kick them out of the actual fucking house when they got too rowdy over mario kart.
Of course they still got hurt. punches too hard, slamming into the concrete, a lost tooth a broken limb. But I truly think those memories of running to the shed to fight over who got the last slice of dessert at 9pm must be some of those boys favourites. Dadan considered it a slightly duller head ache
#one piece#monkey d. luffy#portgas d ace#revolutionary sabo#asl brothers#curly dadan#modern au#thoughts#honestly if you didn't wrestle your sibling did you even live?#me and my brother had a rug and it would be a game to pin the other down#also if you havent been wacked in the leg by bamboo you dont know PAIN#ya know sometimes i write these head canons and wonder if my ethnicity is coming through with some of these#these boys defiantly got physical over the most minor inconvenience#which is horrible emotional control. i thing even waiting to run to the mats was good practice for Ace and Luffy#For Sabo it was more of an outlet to let out all the emotions he had built up of the day. where he can let his patience go#and smack his brothers repeatedly with a pool noodle#rambles

I don't know why, but the ask you sent me @mollywog disappeared from my drafts??? Anyway, this is to answer that ask: I wish you would write bromance/friendship Peeta and Gale.
"Oh!" Gale throws his hands over his head. "And that's how it's done!"
Peeta watches on, unimpressed, as he absentmindedly texts his girlfriend back: Sorry gonna be home late. Something wrong with Gale.
Katniss's reply is immediate: 😞
"Are you in or you still too chicken shit?" Gale grins, dropping back into the booth across from him to take a long drink from his beer.
"I'm just a better gambler than you." He replies dryly. He looks back at the dartboard briefly while Finnick shoves his way out over Gale to take his turn.
"He's just chicken shit," Finnick adds in, shoving Gale's head out of the way when he doesn't let him out of the booth immediately.
"Thanks for that," Peeta picks up his beer and takes a drink. He turns back to Gale. "So?"
"What?" the other man replies.
"Why am I here?" he asks exasperatedly. "You know I have a job, right? Those things people do? For money? Yeah, not optional for me."
"Ugh, you're such a killjoy." Gale groans throwing his head back against the seat. He's a little drunk. "I don't know, I just wanna hang out, okay?"
"I'm leaving," Peeta stands and yanks his coat on. He's been here for the better part of the night and he still has no idea why Gale made it seem like he was in the middle of a crisis. He's never answering his texts again.
"Wait!" Gale calls after him with a stressed look to him. "Fine. Sit down."
"Madge," he drums his fingers against the table, "is leaving me."
Peeta blinks at him, shocked. Gale and Madge are high school sweethearts. They were going to get married by the end of the summer. Peeta already bought a suit.
"Oh shit," he sits back down. "Are you okay?"
Gale shrugs and takes another drink, his eyes taking on a troubled look. "I'm fine."
"Do you wanna come back to the house? You and Katniss should prob-"
"I'm not gonna talk to Katniss about this." Gale cuts him off, dropping the bottle back to the table with a thump. "She's on her side."
"There's no sides," Peeta shakes his head.
"There are." Gale rolls his eyes. "Girls side with each other."
"Women," Peeta corrects. Gale glares at him. "Sorry, too easy."
Gale groans, dropping his head to his hand.
"Uh, what happened?" Peeta asks. He's never seen Gale so, openly emotional? "Did you guys have a fight? or-"
"We had a fight." Gale interrupts again. "I'm a work-obsessed maniac who doesn't even want to have kids, I'm just marrying her because it's what we're supposed to do. Apparently."
Peeta raises his eyebrows, "that's rough."
"It isn't true!" Gale insists. "I want to get married. And yeah, I care about my job, but so what? I worked hard to get where I am, what am I supposed to do? Fucking-"
"What's going on?" Finnick asks, having returned to their table with another round of beers.
Peeta shoots him a look meanwhile Gale groans and drops his head to his hands again.
"Madge dumped him," Peeta hisses. Finnick's face pales.
"Oh, fuck, I'm sorry man." Finnick puts the beers down slowly like he's worried they'll explode. "That's-- I'm sorry."
"My ma's gonna kill me," Gale moans miserably.
Peeta smiles involuntarily. "Listen, maybe it's nothing."
"She said she never wanted to see me again!" Gale argues, his eyes like an accusation.
"Yeah but, maybe it was just a fight? You both probably said stuff you didn't mean." Peeta says. "Maybe you both just need to cool off for a bit. Talk it out in the morning."
Gale scoffs, "yeah right."
"No! Come on, we all do it." He looks over at Finnick for some encouragement. Finnick looks at him like he just threw him a hot potato without any prompting. "Right? You and Annie argue all the time, don't you."
Finnick jumps as if physically struck. He looks at Gale's miserable face and blanches. "Uh, yeah. All the time."
"What could you and Annie possibly argue about?" Gale asks derisively.
"Stuff." Finnick shrugs. "You know, whose turn is it to do the laundry, why is Finn saying the f-word so much. Just stuff."
"Wow, tough." Gale rolls his eyes. "Mellark?"
"What?" Peeta looks at Finnick for a lifeline but he just shrugs at him. "Me and Katniss?"
"No, you and your mother. Obviously you and Katniss." Gale bites.
"Um, I don't remember anything specific." He fiddles with the label on his beer. "But yeah, mean stuff sometimes. Like..." he trails off. "Oh right! The other day she called me an idiot."
"Did she actually mean that or was she joking?" Gale asks with disinterest.
Peeta turns sheepish. "Okay, so she didn't mean it, but we really do fight all the time!" He insists. "It's just not that big of a deal! We cool off and move on, which is what you and Madge can do tomorrow."
"Tell me you and Katniss have actually had a real fight in the past year and I'll go." Gale challenges. "I dare you."
Peeta sighs, "Fine." He drums his fingers against the table while Gale's eyes bore into his skull. "We fight about money."
"Money?" Gale asks.
"Oh, that's a tough one." Finnick scratches at his beard. "Annie and I too, before I got the new job. That sucks."
"Yeah," Peeta agrees. "I don't know, we just move on. Katniss doesn't want to feel like she depends on me for anything, but I always tell her that she can, I'm not going anywhere or anything but she's-"
"A pain in the ass?" Gale offers.
"Stubborn,” he corrects. “And independent.”
“That’s married for pain in the ass,” Finnick intercepts.
“Yeah, she can be a pain in the ass,” Peeta admits. “But I love her. So, whatever.” He shrugs. “I just deal with it.”
“Oh, I see.” Gale turns to Finnick. “He just rolls over and takes it.”
“I don’t,” Peeta rolls his eyes.
“I think what Peeta’s trying to say,” Finnick interjects. “Is that sometimes you just gotta deal. Meet in the middle. It’s an argument not a war. At the end of the day you still gotta like each other.”
“I don’t know, I just don’t have the fucking patience, you know?” Gale rubs a hand through his hair. “I just- I get all defensive and… I guess I’d just rather hurt her before she hurts me?”
“That’s really unhealthy,” Finnick says. “Just so you know.
“If you want to get married you have to stop thinking about her as someone who’s gonna up and leave,” Peeta adds.
“What are you talking about? You’re not even engaged.” Gale snaps.
“Well…” Peeta trails off, playing with the beer label. “I asked.”
“What?” Gale snaps.
“Congratulations!” Finnick exclaims at virtually the same time, slapping Peeta’s shoulder. “That’s huge!”
“She said no,” Gale reads his expression.
“She said she’d ‘think’ about it.” He corrects, still playing with the bottle. “She’s not ready.” He shrugs.
“Oh,” Finnick whispers awkwardly.
“What?” Gale frowns. “That’s stupid. Does she think she can do better? She can be such a fucking idiot-“
“Okay, don’t talk about her like that,” Peeta interrupts. “She’s allowed to say no, okay?”
“And you’re just okay with this?” Gale stares at him like he’s insane.
“We’re not going to break up over it, if that’s what you’re asking.” He snaps. “I knew what I was getting into when I got involved with Katniss Everdeen, alright?”
“Damn,” Gales leans back against the booth.
“So yeah,” Peeta’s voice calms. He lays his hands on the table. “Come on, you can sleep on my couch and call Madge in the morning.”
Finnick puts a hand on his shoulder, “it’ll all work out.” The older man smiles at him.
“Thanks,” Peeta says with some annoyance. He stands. “Gale?”
“Fine,” his friend grumbles, yanking on his coat upside down. “But I don’t wanna deal with your girlfriend, keep her away from me.”
“I’m sure your beloved cousin wants nothing to do with you either,” Peeta replies dryly.

Are u trying to kiss me?
yunho x mingi
oneshot | mdni
1.1k
Where Yunho and Mingi’s casual hangout goes from tipsy laughs to full-on "holy crap, are we doing this"
nsfw tags under
m/m, bottom mingi, top yunho, dryhumping, friends to ?, alcohol, drinking, makeout, kissing, horny drunks xd, blushing, subtle touching, grinding, blow job mentioned, and idk what more lol
Yunho and Mingi had been best friends forever—practically glued to each other since middle school. They’d been through all the cringe-worthy phases together: the awkward growth spurts that left them tripping over their own feet, the regrettable haircuts they’d both agreed were “cool” at the time, and crushes so embarrassing they swore to take them to their graves. Late-night ramen runs and arguing over the last piece of kimchi? That was their love language.
But tonight was… weird. Different.
Yunho had gotten it into his head to try out some new alcohol recipe he found online, proudly declaring it was a “genius masterpiece” that would change their lives. Naturally, Mingi volunteered to be the guinea pig. Free booze? Say less.
Now, a couple of bottles deep, the kitchen looked like a war zone—half-empty glasses scattered across the counter, sticky spills everywhere, and Mingi’s obnoxiously loud laughter echoing off the walls. He was leaning against the kitchen island, cheeks flushed red, head tilted back as he lost it over something Yunho said… except Yunho couldn’t even remember what was so funny.
All Yunho could focus on was Mingi. The way his eyes crinkled when he laughed, the way his lips curled into that stupidly endearing grin, the way he looked so ridiculously carefree right now. Yunho found himself staring, his heart doing this weird little flutter thing in his chest.
“Dude, you’re, like, bright red,” Yunho teased, reaching out to poke Mingi’s cheek.
Mingi swatted his hand away, still grinning. “Shut up, I’m not red. You’re red.”
“Oh wow, killer comeback,” Yunho snorted, rolling his eyes.
Mingi just laughed harder, leaning into Yunho’s space without a care in the world. His shoulder brushed Yunho’s arm, and for some reason, Yunho froze. It wasn’t like Mingi wasn’t touchy—he was always in Yunho’s space, throwing an arm around him, hanging off him like a human koala. But tonight, it felt… different.
“You talk too much,” Mingi mumbled, his grin softening as his gaze locked on Yunho’s face.
“What?” Yunho blinked, his voice quieter than he intended.
“I said, you talk too much.” Mingi’s hand landed on Yunho’s shoulder, sliding down his arm like it was the most natural thing in the world. “I like touching you,” he added, completely nonchalant, like he wasn’t flipping Yunho’s entire world upside down.
Yunho blinked again. “What does that even mean?”
“It means you’re soft,” Mingi said with a teasing grin, giving Yunho’s bicep a squeeze. “Weirdly soft for a guy your size.”
“Oh my god, you’re so dumb,” Yunho groaned, shoving him lightly.
“Yeah, but I’m your dumbass,” Mingi shot back without missing a beat.
Yunho froze. That wasn’t new—Mingi said that kind of stuff all the time. But tonight, it felt different. Heavier. Loaded with something Yunho didn’t quite understand but couldn’t ignore. And when Mingi leaned in, his face suddenly way too close, that something became impossible to avoid.
“Mingi,” Yunho said, his voice barely above a whisper. “What are you doing?”
Mingi tilted his head, lips twitching into a lazy smirk. “Thinking about kissing you.”
“What?” Yunho’s voice cracked so hard he might as well have hit puberty again.
“I mean, unless you don’t want me to,” Mingi said, his smirk faltering a little.
“I—uh—are you serious right now?” Yunho stammered, his brain short-circuiting.
Mingi shrugged. “Kinda.”
“Kinda?” Yunho echoed, eyes wide.
“Fine, yes, I’m serious.”
Yunho opened his mouth to respond but couldn’t get the words out. His eyes darted to Mingi’s lips, then back to his eyes, and before he could second-guess himself, he leaned in.
The kiss started soft—almost hesitant, like neither of them could believe it was actually happening. But then Mingi made this quiet little noise, something between a sigh and a whimper, and Yunho was a goner.
Mingi kissed like he did everything else—with his whole heart. His hands slid up Yunho’s back, pulling him closer, while Yunho’s hands instinctively found Mingi’s hips. They pressed together, their bodies fitting like they were meant to, and Yunho couldn’t stop himself from deepening the kiss.
Their hands wandered, exploring each other's bodies with increasing urgency as their kisses deepened. It was more intoxicating than the alcohol they'd consumed, and neither of them could get enough.
Mingi whimpered again, his hips moving instinctively against Yunho’s. The sound shot through Yunho’s system like a live wire, it was the hottest thing Yunho has ever heard and wanted to hear it again, he couldn’t help but grind back.
Mingi's hips were unstoppable, moving faster and faster, he’d never felt this overwhelmed, this hot and bothered, not like this before.
Yunho must've noticed how frantic Mingi had become, and without missing a beat, he matched his rhythm. He slid his tongue along Mingi's neck, nipping at his jaw and biting at his ear, his voice low and teasing. "You wanna come, baby?"
Mingi's spine tingled at the sound of Yunho's voice—damn, he sounded so fucking hot talking to him like that.
“Yunho,” Mingi gasped, his head falling against Yunho’s shoulder. His whole body trembled, his nails digging into Yunho’s arms as a broken moan escaped his lips. He stilled after a second, shuddering in Yunho’s arms as he caught his breath.
Yunho held him close, one hand rubbing soothing circles on Mingi’s back. His own heart was racing, his head spinning, but all he cared about was Mingi.
“You good?” Yunho asked softly, pulling back just enough to see Mingi’s face.
Mingi let out a shaky laugh, his cheeks flushed and his grin lopsided. “Good? I’m amazing,” he said, his voice still breathless. Then his eyes flicked down to Yunho’s lap, and his grin faded. “But, uh… you didn’t…”
Yunho shook his head quickly. “It’s fine. I’m fine. Seriously.”
Mingi’s hand shot out, grabbing Yunho’s wrist before he could move away. “No,” he said firmly, his tone more serious than Yunho had ever heard. “Let me take care of you.”
Before Yunho could protest, Mingi was sinking to his knees, his hands already working at Yunho’s belt. The alcohol haze was gone now, leaving nothing but raw, unfiltered emotion between them.
As Mingi looked up at him, his dark eyes filled with something Yunho could only describe as pure want, Yunho knew one thing for sure: this was, without a doubt, the best experiment he’d ever attempted.

Okay, so:
When I was little, my mom would pop me and my brothers into a little wagon and walk us over to the public library, and she'd come back with a bunch of VHS tapes of pretty much anything that looked kid-friendly that didn't make her lose her mind. It kept us occupied, but also helped us to learn English outside of school (for my older brother) and before we started school (for my younger brother and myself).
Two of these tapes were the Rankin Bass Hobbit and Return of the King.
Now keep in mind, I was also watching home-recorded VHS tapes that we brought over from Germany, and I remembered a lot of those more clearly than the American tapes that got cycled out every time my mom took us to the library.
Fast forward a decade or so, 2001, when the Fellowship of the Ring hit theaters. But we didn't have a ton of money, so seeing a film in theaters wasn't a priority. But everybody was talking about it, so I started reading the book. And it seems familiar, but... not. And I can't put my finger on why.
Later that year, my middle school English class read the Hobbit-- and again, weirdly familiar. Like, really weirdly so. And then at the end of the unit, we watched the Rankin/Bass Hobbit film, and I thought oh! That's why! I've seen this film before!
(Except there were songs I kept remembering that obviously weren't in the film, so maybe I saw a different cut? Maybe I dreamed it? And clearly Bilbo had all ten fingers to the end credits, so that was a weird thing to misremember.)
Then the DVD of the Fellowship of the Ring comes out, and one of my friends has me come over to watch it. And same as with the book (I hadn't yet made it past the Two Towers), and still these little details kept popping into my head that were wrong, but in ways I couldn't articulate. Maybe they were details from the book that got cut? Didn't Gollum, like, jump on somebody's shoulders at one point? Weird how he didn't actually confront them. And I kept remembering that Frodo had Nine Fingers, but he clearly didn't, we kept getting very clear shots of Elijah Wood's hands, so that didn't make any sense at all.
But I really enjoyed the movie, and I was really hyped for the next one, and so I started digging deeper into it. And my friend discovered that there WAS, in fact, an old cartoon that dealt with Frodo et al: the 1978 Lord of the Rings (which, weirdly, cut off during the Two Towers), and that was just frustrating-- nothing looked like I remembered, and nobody was singing, and everything was rotoscoped, and Frodo still had all his fingers???
I cannot describe to you the surreality of spending more than a year chasing a half-remembered film that simultaneously is and is not all of these other iterations and being unable to articulate why-- or the giddy vindication I felt when I finally got my hands on another copy of The Return of the King and finally proved that I hadn't hallucinated the entire thing.
All of which is to say:
The poll is missing an option.

Not self indulgent if I want to hear what you have to have to say so fucking bad… You’re indulging ME now bestie
linky link
its just so .. like LISTEN.
like. walk with me. but you're basically like. isagis childhood neighbor right. he's a few years older than you by then you too. like you're in elementary and he's in middle school. one of these days you're in a fight with other older kids (and they're kicking your ass) and isagi gets in the way and pulls his whole like tsk tsk what r u doing bullying a kid younger than u shtick and the kids then run away
and from that he tries to walk u home and u basically idolize him and he just. figures you're a little boy. like u have a gender neutral ish nickname and u dress in boardhosrts and big shirts and its hard to tell and plus you always rough house with isagi. you just have a Rough personality in general and u call him aniki which he finds funny.
and for the few years ur in the same neighborhood ur basically always with him and he never figures it out. ur in his room and he teaches u to play soccer (u prefer baseball at that point) and u spend all of ur time in his room even when he's in exams etc.
i think u move like,, just as he gets into highschool. far enough away that he doesnt see u again for years and years.
and then when he's in his mid twenties he comes back to his hometown and subsequently So Do You.
you've been moved in for a while and his mom had told him that before once in passing but isagis spent a long time playing in germany so he hadnt thought about it until he comes back and his mom is like. oh u should go visit them and say hi and isagi is fondly like aw yeah i wonder how that kid grew up.
and so . u know. he goes over. plans to say to your mom. is curious about how u grew up cause he hasnt kept in touch at all. yk.
and then. he goes over and a woman answers the door. and hes like ....?
but before he even gets to ask, you positively light up. like BEAMING. and you go "aniki? is that you?"
?!. isagi is in shock. he literally is like. What. Huh. but like. that voice. that face. like you look the same but the years have softened you out, made your features more... idk... he feels wrong saying girly but ? maybe thats it.
and the way you talk is EXACTLY the same. rife with slang, kind of rude, clearly picked up some gyaru slang while u were away but you're not exactly dressed that. u have boobs now and isagi is . short circuiting. and he says your name and FUCKKK your smile is exactly the same. like the same toothy almost silly vibe about you.
you invite him in like nothings changed and for u it probably hasnt. but he's literally malfunctioning trying to keep up. bc its YOU. like it is. you're the same kid he remembers messing with his soccer ball in his room and frowning at the stuff he studied for his highschool entrance exams. and those few years between u then felt like so much but youre both adults now.
its so disorienting. isagi really loved you even when you were kids. obviously it wasnt like That then. more like u were a fond, distant memory of his childhood that he can appreciate looking back. u have siblings but isagi didnt so it was less lonely with u around since he was an only child.
and he was looking forward to reconnecting, really!! he had all these plans about going to play soccer with you and asking if you had a girlfriend. but . But . what !!!!!!!!
he doesnt say anything i think. but you do insist he takes you down to the 7/11 to get snacks like when you were kid, and you make the same cheeky comment about making him pay since he's older and he's rich now and isagi gets the most doki-doki lovesick as feeling and almost passes away because no!!!!!!! why is he feeling that for you!!!!!!
internally he's yelling at himself but he does do it anyway bc he still likes making u happy. its familiar and warm and you end with your legs stretched out in a loose hoodie sharing chips and a drink and you're like,, smiling so familiar about old memories and the feeling just keeps Being there persistently. and he's like stop that rn!!!! he cannot!!!! for many reasons!!!!!!!
bc it feels weird since he rmbs u as kids but also bc it feels unfair to only be thinking of u this way now that he knows. and after he spends all evening with you he Resolves himself to not pursue anything while he stays with his parents.
(but how well does that resolve hold up when he begins to Notice your rather obvious feelings for him?)

Surprise at the Station
Request: Hi how are you? 💛
Please a The Rookie Tim Bradford x Shy!Adopted!Daughter!Reader? Like the shy!reader wanted to surprise her adoptive dad Tim at the police station but he’s patrolling. When he came back at the police station, he found shy!reader and her jock best friend along with his friends pulling rope against Nolan, Lucy and Angela.
https://youtube.com/shorts/1b_mCsCXSKQ?si=0fpOzOgGB64P9KbK
Pairings: Tim Bradford x Shy!Adopted!Daughter!Reader
Warnings: Fluff
Masterlist
You wouldn't consider yourself popular but somehow you ended up being friends with the entire baseball team, but the main ones were Rye, Jaxxon, Michael, Kyle, Bryan, and Layton. Your friend and your crush and vice versa, Rye Cooper, probably had something to do with that. You were shy and pretty much stuck to yourself. Your dad, Tim Bradford, wasn't too keen on you having a boy as a friend but he treated you well and took care of you. Then again you and Rye had been friends since middle school. A lot of people thought that they only kept you around because you were extremely smart but that was far from the truth. You tutored them and unlike most jocks they were extremely willing to learn.
Tim became your father just as soon as you went into 5th grade. Your mother abandoned you when you were a baby and your father, a fellow police officer, died when you finished 4th grade in the line of duty. Your father and Tim were best friends since the police academy and he had put it in his will that you would be adopted by Tim. Tim of course knew about it and it was a full on yes. Tim loved you like his own and you loved him like a daughter would a father. It took a while until you called him dad but once you did your relationship just blossomed.
Any chance you got to mess around with your friends you took it and it was a blast. Now you may be thinking that they would get you into trouble but they weren't like that especially towards you. They never did anything to put their lives, your life, or their careers in jeopardy. In all honesty they looked out for you. Today just happened to be one of the days when you got to mess around with your friends at the police station. The Mid-Wilshire Division police station was going to be having an open house/career day open to the public and a fundraiser for the police department and the school. Since it was a fundraiser for the school, they asked the sports teams some students to volunteer and since Tim was your father you were automatically volunteered. “Remember you're coming straight to the station after school.” Your dad said that morning after you had walked into the kitchen after getting ready for the day.
“Yes, I remember.” You said as you grabbed something to drink and put it in your school bag. “Today is half a day before going on winter break so we'll be there early.” You said and he nodded knowing who you were talking about.
“Ok I'll see you later. Be safe and follow the laws.” He said as he followed behind you.
“Darn there goes my plans.” You said smirking and he rolled his eyes and hugged you kissing your head and then gently guiding you out the door. “I love you!” You said shouting over your shoulder.
“I love you too!” He shouted back as he watched you get into your Jeep and head to school. He shook his head and smiled. He was lucky to have you.
—
When you got to school you were greeted by Rye and the others and hung out before school actually started. You all chit chatted about anything especially the show you all had in common and talked about the newest episode. “So do we all agree to follow Y/N after school to the police station?” Rye asked as he slung an arm around your shoulders and you instinctively cuddled into him, sending electricity through the both of you.
“Yes.” Everyone said or nodded.
“Great! I'll show you where to park. It shouldn't be too much of a hassle. We'll need to take some supplies too.” You said as your phone dinged and you looked at reading the text from your dad.
“Oh, that's right.” Jaxxon said “Dad reminded me this morning.” He added. His father was a teacher at the school along with the baseball coach and one of your dad's best friends. Yes, your father, Tim Bradford, had friends and yes it shocked him and you teased him about it. As the conversation picked back up leaving the topic the bell was ringing not too long afterwards.
School was long despite it only being a half day but you chalked it to being you excited about the activities that would be happening. Finally, after the last bell rang you were jumping up out of your seat and headed to the door just as Rye had stopped you. Without a word the both of you headed out of the classroom and to your lockers getting everything you needed and putting back what you didn’t need. “I’ll meet you at your truck.” He said and you looked up at him.
“Sounds good.” You said and he smiled and parted ways. You were quick to get what you needed and then headed out to the parking lot where you saw the boys hanging out around your truck and you smiled. These were your friends and you were proud to call them that. You stood there admiring them when Jaxxon spotted you.
“There she is! About time you showed up!” He said jokingly and that put a smile on your face.
“Ha ha very funny. Unlike you I actually had to get books out of my locker.” You teased as you walked up to him and a collective of laughs went around but a smile was on his face and yours. This is how everyone acted around each other and you loved it. “Now, we need to get going before we’re late.” You said.
“Yes ma’am.” Everyone said and you chuckled as you watched everyone get into their vehicles and so did you. You led them to the station and parked where you were told days ahead of the fundraiser. Once parked and everyone got you the whole lot of you went into the police station to be met with Grey.
“Hello Y/N.” He said once he spotted you.
“Hey, dad around?” You asked and he shook his head.
“No, he is still out on patrol but gave me very clear instructions to tell you where to go and what to set up.” He said and you chuckled.
“Sounds just like dad.” You chuckled and so did everyone else. So, the lot of you listened and as you were listening Rye had gotten closer to you and your pinkies were touching sending electric shocks up the both of you. Once very clear instructions were given everyone was off to do what they were told.
You got to the spot where the fundraiser was going to be and started to set up. Jaxxon had brought his truck around with all of the equipment needed for the day. While setting up everyone was laughing and music was being played through Kyle’s phone and portable speaker. Rye stayed close to you as you worked on getting and you didn’t mind that it was happening, in fact you wanted to get closer to him but couldn’t be too suspicious especially with your Aunt Angela lurking around. As you were almost finished a familiar voice called out to you and you recognized it as Nolan’s. “Hey Y/N/N!” He shouted and you turned to his voice.
“Nolan! What’s up?” You asked as he had gotten closer.
“Well, Jackson, Harper, Angela, and I were setting up the tug-of-war rope and decided to give you all a break and come see if you can beat us.” He said and you smirked and looked at Rye who had the same expression.
“Oh, you’re so on. It’ll be me, Rye, Jaxxon, and Kyle against the four of you. You know, to make it even.” You said smirking your father’s smirk that you picked up from him.
“Oh, you’re so on.” He said playfully and headed over while you called the other two over and told them what would be happening and they were on board with it. You four walked over to the other four and got into position. The eight of you picked up the rope the others were crowding around as Michael held the rope in the middle where the flag was.
“On your marks. Get ready. Go.” He said and took a step back and the game began. It was a lot of back and forth and you had to admit they were strong but the four of you were stronger. There was cheering all around but everyone had a smile on their faces and were encouraging their team on.
-
Lucy and Tim had just gotten back to the station after being out on the road all day. As they pulled their shop into the garage it was strangely empty and quiet. This raised Tim’s suspicions and he had to get to the bottom of it. “Come on Lucy.” He told her and she nodded and hurried after him. As they traveled throughout the station looking for anyone, they hardly saw anyone. They were about to call it in when Smitty was spotted coming from a room where food and drinks for the fundraiser were being kept that hadn’t been put out just yet.
“Smitty, where is everyone?” Lucy asked
“Oh, everyone is out in the parking lot.” He said keeping his answer vague which is just like him and he walked off.
“Thanks for the help.” She said and he held up his hand which had the drink and walked off.
“Well let’s go see what everyone is up to.” Tim said and she nodded as they went to the parking lot as they got closer, they heard laughter and cheering. Just as they walked outside, they saw the 4 teenagers and 4 officers playing tug-of-war everyone was yelling and giving orders and Tim just stood there in disbelief but a smile crept onto his face and he actually began laughing which shocked Lucy but it made her smile and laugh too.
“So, this is what they were up to?” She asked and Tim laughed.
“Looks like it. It also looks like 4 teenagers are going to win.” He said laughing and just about that time the flag crossed over to your side and the other 4 went down. You 4 shouted in victory and Rye picked you up, spun you around, and kissed you unexpectedly but you didn’t push back you kissed him back. Tim was definitely surprised and shocked so shocked he didn’t say anything. After a minute he smiled and accepted it, if he had to choose anyone for you it would be Rye.
“Are you ok with that?” Lucy asked
“Yea, yea I am.” He said as he watched Rye gently put you down and then you spotted him with a wide smile.
“DAD!” You yelled out and came running over to him.
“Hey, Sweetheart.” He said hugging after you ran into his arms.
“Did you see it?” You asked and he nodded smiling.
“I sure did and it was a surprise for sure. Now you know you can’t let them down from it right?” He asked
“Oh absolutely.” You said giggling. “I need to go help and finish setting up.” You said and he nodded and smiled.
“Go.” He said giving you a hug and a kiss to your head. When he released you, you ran off to help the others and Rye was right by your side. Tim was definitely surprised at the events that he walked into but you knew you would be well taken care of.

You're Mine
Summary: You agree to be Park Yeonjin's fling, only to keep your name safe. You’re forced to stick by her. Over time, you can’t help but take a liking to her. She’s cruel, yet so beautiful. It is hard to keep your morals.
Warning(s): Smut, Manipulation, Toys, Bondage, Bullying, Harsh, Sub!FemReader
Word Count: 3.7K
-
Park Yeonjin squeezes your upper thigh, making your body jerk in surprise. You glare at her and she smiles sweetly, her eyes glossing with fake signs of innocence. She digs her fingertips into the softness of your thighs again. Now you understand why she asked you to wear a skirt. Your hand moves down to grip her wrist. Her hand is hidden under your skirt.
“Stop it,” You whisper a warning. Your heart pounds hard against your chest. She leans her lips to your ears.
“Be a good girl and listen to the pastor,” She instructs. Your heart pounds hard against your chest. You glance around the church hoping no one is watching. Words from the pastor's sermon continue in the background.
For a moment you did forget about her. You focus on the message til you feel her fingertips rub the middle of your panties. You accidentally jerk your legs, kicking the chair in front of you. People around you look at you worriedly. Even the pastor paused for a short second before continuing.
“Sorry,’ You whisper with a polite smile, ‘I need to use the bathroom.”
You hurry and excuse yourself, ignoring Yeonjin’s playful smirk. She leans back into her seat and ogles your bottom as you scoot past her. She bites her lips to stop herself from hitting it. Once you’re out of the row, she looks back at the pastor and acts like she’s paying close attention.
The stall doors slam shut and you place the toilet seat covers down. You take a seat and place your face into your hands. A deep frustrating sigh escapes your lip. With Yeonjin here, you feel like such a sinner. You couldn’t pay attention to the message. All you could think about was her.
~
You didn’t even like her. You were just her play fling. Yeonjin held so much power that you couldn’t escape her grip. It all started because you caught her attention during school. You stood up against her bullying. No one had dared before. From there, you saw her eyes darken and her lips curl into a sinister smile. She shoved the poor victim to the side and rushed to you.
“Be mine,” She insisted. You chuckled in disgust. You point a finger at her.
“You? … Never. You’re not my type,” You replied. You start to walk away, but she grabs your arm. Next thing you knew she had multiple blackmails and threats hidden under her sleeve. You became her “girlfriend” the next day.
~
A knock coming from the stall door makes you snap out of your thoughts. You pause in shock before glancing under the stall. Yeonjin’s shoes come into sight. You roll your eyes. She knocks again with more urgency.
“Wait,” You sigh. You fake a flush and unlock the stall. Before you could open the door, she pushed it. You stumble backward, your legs bumping into the toilet. She walks into the tight space with her arms crossed. Her face is stone cold.
“You took a long time,” She informs. You clench your hands into a fist.
“I was doing my business,” You grumble. She tilts her head. Her eyes are dark as void. She knew you were lying. Your frustrated look drops and you gulp nervously.
“I don’t like that tone,” She warns. You tilt your head down. Your hair falls in front of your face.
“Sorry,” You apologize to avoid further trouble. She smiles sweetly and brings her hands up to brush your hair behind your ears. Her sweet gestures end quickly. She runs her fingernail down to your chin and grips it. She tugs your face to look up. She begins to lean her face close to you. Your eyes flutter shut and your hand naturally moves to grip onto her bicep.
Suddenly the bathroom door swings open revealing a lady which causes you to let out a fake cough. Yeonjin is quick to act and she pats your back.
“There, there. You must have gotten a cold,” She lies with a perfect tone of concern. You continue letting out a few more coughs. The woman looks at you worriedly.
“Poor girl. I pray you get better soon,” She frowns. Yeonjin smiles innocently and you bow your head as a thank you. The woman walks into a different stall. Yeonjin makes eye contact with you and starts to laugh quietly. You couldn’t help but giggle along with her.
-
Yeonjin takes a long drag of her cigarette. She blows it into the air. You sit beside her in silence like a perfectly trained pet. Her friends surround her, laughing amongst each other. One of them is busy curling her hair with an iron while another is on the side shooting basketball hoops. You couldn’t understand what they were talking about. The topic is very much what only privileged rich kids would get. All you could do is analyze Yeonjin. She will laugh with her friends and then glance at you. Her dark black hair is perfectly brushed and styled. Her lips wrap around the cigarette and suck, her eyes never leaving yours. In the midst of staring at her, you didn’t realize she was leaning to blow smoke into your face. You grimace and wave your hands to get rid of the smell. She laughs and pats your head. Her fingers gently rub your scalp which causes you to glare up. Her touch was a sudden sweet gesture, you’re not used to it. She tilts her head and smiles. Your cheeks turn pink a little. She’s undeniably beautiful. It bugs you that her beauty makes you forget how evil she can be.
The doors of the gym open which steals everyone’s attention. A student whom they like to bully comes walking in. The same girl you protected by standing up against Yeonjin. She walks over with a stern face. You glance to look at Yeonjin. Her eyes started to darken, indicating she was having fun. Her lips curled up. All that dark, beautiful hair, that's what hatred looks like.
“Dongeun, I missed you!” Yeonjin gasps as she drops the cigarette onto the ground. She heads over to Dongeun, her steps light as a feather.
“Where have you been?” She chirps. Dongeun glares with such hatred. She raises her hand to slap, but Yeonjin is quick to catch her wrist. She grips and tugs Dongeun’s arm, dragging her along. She pushes Dongeun into a seat and signals her friends to lock her into place.
“I guess you haven’t learned your place. You need a little reminder,” Yeonjin hums as she touches the handle of the hot iron hair curler. She grabs onto the handle and starts walking over to Dongeun, who is thrashing against the friend's hold. You widen your eyes in fear. Yeonjin pushes up Dongeun’s sleeves and hovers the hot iron over her skin. You rush out of your seat and grab Yeonjin’s wrist. Your eyebrows furrow in frustration and disgust.
“Stop,” You warn. Yeonjin’s eyes twitch but her lips remain smiling.
“Let go,” She orders. You only grip her wrist harder and tug it away from Dongeun’s arm. She tries pulling back, but you never let go. Yeonjin takes her other hand and clenches it onto your hair. You yelp in pain as she tugs it harshly. She brings your face near hers and chuckles. You could see her eyes look down to your lips and back up. Eyes dilating like the night sky.
“I own you. I can do what I want. You can’t,” She whispers. She releases her grip and you fall onto the ground with a loud thud. Her friends start laughing. One of them comes over and places his foot on top of your soft stomach. You wince in pain and claw at his ankle. Yeonjin’s smile darkens and she stares at her friend.
“…What the fuck are you doing?” Her voice is cold. The guy pauses and nervously backs away from your body. You grunt and clench your stomach. He raises his hands up defensively.
“Hey, I-I was just copying you. I’m trying to have fun too,” He explains. Yeonjin takes slow steps towards him. She brings her hands up and slaps his face hard. His face turns to the side and he brings his hands up to numb the pain. Before he could recover, she grips onto the collar of his shirt and tugs to make him look into her eyes. She smiles sinisterly.
“Only I can touch her. If I see you lay even one finger on her… I’ll kill you,” She swore before pushing him back. He grunts in pain, stumbling to gain balance. She drops the hair curler, finding you more important than what she was going to do. She walks over to you. She kneels and examines you worriedly.
“Are you okay?” She asks. You simply nod your head without a word. You couldn’t help but feel your heart skip a beat. She wraps her arm around yours and helps you stand up. She spares one glance at Dongeun before wordlessly walking out of the gym with you.

“One day you will get bored of me,” You say a couple of weeks after the hot iron incident. A part of you felt sad about the possibility that Yeonjin could easily toss you to the side. It’s realistic, considering you’re just her play toy.
“Why? Feel upset about that?” She laughs. You turn your head to the side to avoid her eyes.
“No, I just want to know how far you’re going to drag this thing on,” You reply, fidgeting with your fingers. She snaps her phone shut and leans back into her chair. She hums deep in thought.
“Let me think,” She ponders. A playful glint sparks in her eyes. She flips her hair to the side and leans forward, resting against her elbow on the table.
“Til you say you had enough,” She says. You widen your eyes in shock.
“What?” You blurt out. She laughs again and tilts her head.
“I will stop when you tell me to,” She repeats slowly. You blink your eyes before gulping. She knew the game she was playing. She was confident that you wouldn’t be able to leave her side anymore. As much as she had power over you, she gave you a slight chance to own some. Like a little treat. Your very own decision on whether or not you want to continue being with her.
“I…”
“-Before you decide. Spend one full day with me,” She beams.
-
You stare at yourself in the mirror, rubbing your hands down your outfit. It was picked out by Yeonjin. You touch the edge of your skirt. Of course, it’s a skirt. Your phone buzzes and you rush to read the message. A simple ‘I’m here’ from Yeonjin. You quickly gather your things and rush out to her.
She’s in her fancy rich car, gifted by her parents. The sound of the car unlocking clicks. You give her a quick wave and open the door. Yeonjin smiles in excitement when she sees you in the outfit she picked out. You take a seat and wait patiently.
“You look beautiful,” She smiles. You feel your cheeks warm up.
“Thank you… you do too,” You reply. She smirks and places one hand on the wheel. She places her other hand on the place she enjoys most. Your thighs. Her cold fingers grip the warm squishy skin of your inner thigh. You nibble your bottom lip. She starts driving, paying attention to the road.
Spending the day with Yeonjin was like being treated like royalty. Every store and restaurant knew her. You’ve never seen someone receive so much favor and respect all because of their name. They gave her extra food. Limited items were suddenly available to her. She didn’t bother looking at the price tags when she bought you clothes. All she needed to know was that it looked good on you and she'd tell the staff to add it to her card. Three bags of clothes became seven. Neither of you even held the bag. A staff member held it for you til they placed it in the trunk of her car.
When it was time for dinner, she got a place where there was a front view of the whole city. She orders multiple entrees, each worth the same as a regular person's paycheck. When you thought the day was ending, Yeonjin drives you to her house.
-
The sky is dark and you shift comfortably on the coach. She sits next to you while playing a game on her phone. The game sound beeps happily. She hums in deep concentration.
“Thank you,” You say. You truly meant it. No one has treated you this way before. Yeonjin was different. She giggles and grabs ahold of your hand without looking up from her phone.
“Of course. You’re mine, remember,” She reminds you. Her hand stays wrapped around yours. She has a sweet smile on her lips. You bite back a smile. She continues playing the game til she is satisfied. She snaps her phone shut and averts her attention fully on you. She places her hands on your thighs and leans forward. She places a small kiss on your neck. It tickles, making you giggle.
“I want to do one more thing with you before you make your decision,” She requests, pulling away. You slow down your chuckle. You place a hand on top of hers. Your fingers gently rub her soft skin.
“What is it?” You question, licking your bottom lip. Her eyes darken and her breathing slows. She suddenly stands up to her feet.
“Follow me.”
-
You’re in her room, sitting at the edge of her bed. She stands in front of you, brushing her hand against your cheek. You stare lovingly into her eyes. She tilts her head playfully and lowers her hand til it reaches your neck. She suddenly grips it causing you to gasp. Your hands claw at her wrist. She darkly smiles as she watches your face turn scrunch in pain. It turns her on. She pushes you deeper into the middle of the bed. Your head rests on her pillow and she towers above you. She holds on to your throat a little longer until she lets go. You gasp for air. She doesn’t let you catch your breath long before she starts kissing you again. Her lips move slowly against yours, digging her fingers into your inner thigh. You moan into her mouth and she smirks. She starts to touch the edge of your shirt and naturally pulls it off. You urgently reach to take off hers, but she stops you.
“In a hurry?” She jokes. She starts kissing you again. She slides her hand under your skirt. The sides of your panties loop around her fingers. She tugs it and you can feel the cold air touching your core. You sink into the kiss feverishly and she laughs. You pull away, blushing. She smiles and pecks your lips again before disappearing to the side. You're left alone breathless and shirtless. You nervously glance around. Analyzing her decorations.
Yeonjin appears in front of you, wearing just a bra and panties with two large red string ribbons around her hands. Her long black hair drapes over her shoulder. Her nipples visibly harden against the fabric of her bra.
“You trust me?” She asks.
“Yes. I do,” You answer. She smiles in satisfaction and gestures to you to bring your hands up. She starts wrapping the red ribbon around your wrist. She tightens and tugs it hard. You can barely move your hands. You look at her worriedly to which she responds by kissing you sweetly. Suddenly your vision gets covered by the last red string. You feel her push your tied hands up above your head. The sound of a metal click reaches your ears. Your heart rate quickens. Your chest moves up and down fast. All your other senses seem to heighten.
“You look scared,” She purrs in your ear. You twitch and attempt to reach out, but something stops your arms from moving. She chuckles darkly. You feel her lips suddenly kissing and sucking your neck. Her teeth grind against the skin. Her lips move down to your chest. She grabs your boobs hard, twisting your nub. You grunt and pull onto the tie. She chuckles and continues touching your boobs. A hot wet feeling starts touching your nipple. You moan, tilting your head back. In contrast, you can also feel her teeth occasionally biting down.
“I know this is making you wet,” She purrs as she moves her free hand under your skirt. She tests by rubbing the tip of her finger on your folds. She chuckles at the silky mess under her finger.
“Dirty girl,” She hums. She moves up to touch your needy clit. She rubs it slowly, causing you to jerk.
“Please. Go faster,” You beg. She listens and starts to quicken her tempo. You cuss and grip the ties. Your lower stomach clenches. Wet noises from the movement of her fingers on your cunt become louder. You bite your lower lip while your back arches.
“You feel wet enough,” She notes. She removes her fingers and you whine. She examines the silky juice on her fingers.
“Please don’t stop! Go faster and harder please!” You cry out. You feel the bed dip and lift. You’re alone again. Your lower stomach begins to slow down in pleasure. You use your ears to listen to what is happening. Sounds of shuffling can be heard.
Yeonjin is looking through her toy collection. She sings and hums as she scans which one she wants to use on you. A decent large d!|dō catches her attention. She picks it up and feels the heavy girth on her hands.
The bed dips again and you get butterflies. She moves her body to the slit of your legs.
“As much as I love this skirt on you. I need to see,” She chirps. She pulls the shirt off your body and tosses it to the side. Your cunt glistens so sweetly. She bites her bottom lip as she places the toy on top of your core. You feel a large object move up and down your slit slowly.
“Yeonjin, what is that?” You pant. She shushes you, gently rubbing your lower stomach. She moves and rotates the toy until it is glistening with your juice. She leans the tip of the toy into your core. She slowly starts shoving it into you. She doesn’t go fast, allowing you to adjust. Your breathing hicks and you cry in pain. Her cunt pulses watching your core being forcefully open.
“Fuck!” You cuss.
“Does it hurt?” She hums. She slows down and starts pulling the toy out. You buckle your hips. The red blind ribbons feel stuffy and sweat starts to form on your forehead. You shake your head no. It hurt, but it also felt so good. It stirs something in you knowing that she’s using your body for her pleasure.
She pushes the toy back in and you sob out a moan. Your legs start to shake. Your wrist is starting to bruise and turn red by how hard you tug the ribbon. You tilt your head back, sobbing into the ribbon. She presses her hand harder on your lower stomach. The girth of the toy fills you deeper. You start to thrash your body uncontrollably.
“S-slow down,” You choke. She laughs light heartedly.
“I thought you wanted me to go faster and harder,” She teases as she pulls the toy out only to shove it back in. From how much you’re moving, the ribbon on your head starts to shift. Your head tilts to the side and the ribbon begins sliding down to your neck. You grimace at the sudden exposure to light. Yeonjin lifts her eyebrow in amusement. You peer down to see her resting comfortably between your legs. One hand holding the end of the toy. You can see it disappearing in you. She pauses to let you soak in the sight.
“See it? You’re taking it so well like a good girl,” She hums. She moves her hand quickly. Letting you watch the toy shove deep within you and out. Your hips jerk and start to chase after it. Tears start to escape the edge of your eye. You bit your lip, enjoying the pleasure. Yeonjin watches your tears roll down your cheeks. It turns her on even more. She angles the toy til she hears you moan louder. She found your spot.
“I’m so close!” You moan. She moves her hand a few more times til she pulls out the toy completely. Your core squeezes around nothing, sending a painful throb in your stomach. You pant hard while tugging on the ribbon
“No, please don’t stop,” You cry. Yeonjin tilts her head with a joyful glint in her eyes.
“You can only come… if you decide to be mine. If you don't want to, I can stop,” She explains. She eyes the toy playfully before placing the tip on her tongue. She makes sure you’re looking at her before she licks the tip of the toy. Your juice coats her tongue and she moans. She wraps her lips around the toy and sucks it before pulling it out with a ‘pop’. She places the tip back into you. You let out a soft moan of need.
“So… what’s your answer?” She smiles. Before you could say anything she shoves the wet toy into you. Her pace is brutal. Your body twitches feverishly. Your cheeks are red and wet with tears. She’s already bringing you back to your high.
“Fuck!” You grunt. She doesn’t slow down. You can hear her giggling sinisterly.
“Do you want to come?”
“Yes!” You cry, your body moving along with the hard thrust.
“Say it,” She reminds you. Her hands move the toy up and down fast at an angle. Her other hand moves to squeeze your sensitive clit. The pleasure is near and it feels too good to stop.
“I’m yours!” You confess. Your words slurs in with moans. Yeonjin smiles, her core pulsing as she watches you chase your high. She clenches her legs together.
“Come for me,” She moans. You moan loudly, back arching. Your body twitches. You feel your juice rolling down and onto the bed sheets. She leaves the toy in you and she moves up to kiss you. Her wet tongue slides against your mouth. Your brain is foggy, unable to think.
“You’re mine,” She moans in between the kisses.
