As tends to happen when I’m in an art funk, I’ve stockpiled a few sketch sheets.

First up, a little Momo love!

These ones are based on a plushie I got for Christmas. I want to reverse engineer its pattern someday, because I ADORE its proportions!

(The bottom right two are just freehands, not based on the plushie.)

And then just some “whatever my hands felt like doing” doodles.

And… a character that I’ve been trying to iron out for a bit now… she’ll be relevant to the story at some point, but I’ve been enjoying drawing her and finally getting a solid idea of what I want her to be.

But since she’s relevant to the future, I’ll put her stuff under a read more, for those who would rather wait until she’s officially introduced.

This character is named Jamie, and is very near and dear to my heart. She’s not only an old OC of mine, but she—with help from a Gardevoir— is basically the one who got me out of a human drawing phobia many years ago. (So you can thank her for me being bold enough to share today, lol.) She started out as a trainer-sona, but quickly became a character all her own, very different from me as a person.

Anyway, first for her, some gesture things and mood drawings.

(I forgot her scars there, but it kinda works because I feel like this would happen before she got them. X3)

And finally, the part where I really felt like I was getting somewhere with her, aka some clothing testing.

I’ve been wanting to hold off revealing her until she comes into the story, but I really like how these all turned out, and I don’t know when I’ll be ready to move the story along. On top of that, her reveal really wouldn't have any special impact to most of you, since you don't know her. (Aside from a select few.)

So I thought I’d give in and share her with you all. Plus that frees me up to share more doodles of her if I so choose.

OK. RAMBLE TIME

My sona (Jawbreaker) is a fucked up star alien thing ! You're gonna get a little more than just what he is and inspirations and I hope you don't mind, I made a whole fucking species just for this guy's backstory LOL Stellarites are shapeshifting, celestial beings created with star energy. Their strength varies, depending on what kind of star their energy was sourced from. Jawbreaker (his actually birth name is unknown and he forgot himself) was created with the energy of a quasi star as an experiment for his overlord, Metsu. He served in their celestial empire as a royal guard, and had a close eye kept on him. He excelled compared to his peers, and was deemed spectacular at his work- the only downside was his short temper. He was constantly consulted about his attitude, and it only seemed to grow worse. He grows disobedient, to the point where he is sentenced to be shattered for his resources to be recycled. He escapes from his home planet, landing on Earth. He examines life from afar, and takes on a more humanoid form. As he lives out his days on his new home, there's something that he can't avoid now- taxes. So what's a better job to get when you used to be a guard for an intergalactic ruler? Become a hitman! This is where he obtained his helmet and his name. A couple years go by and he's considered a perfect killing machine, being able to leave such little trails behind in his work. Then, he fucks up one day. A single drop of his blood is found at a scene. This results in a huge chase for him, especially because he is extraterrestrial life. He eventually is caught, and used in government experiments. These experiments were based off the mega-structure, dyson spheres, in which they tried to extract energy out of him. He manages to escape this, takes on his current form with a repainted helmet and fresh new look, and is now a party-animal alien out on the run with a bounty on his head. (This is like, a really watered down version of his story cus if I put the whole thing here that shit would go on forever)

Going onto actually inspirations now, here's a couple !

The general design was just based off of character design aspects that I like a lot. Chunky shoes, shoulder pads, big sleeves, huge zipper- etc, etc.

The hoodie and boxers combo just comes from the fact that that is typically what I roam around in

The star eye was me trying to recycle from my old sona, but the true origin of it was it being a reference to one of my favorite musicians at the time, Grandson ^_^

The half heart locket is for my boyfriend <3

The big ol' eyebrow is just cus I have bushy eyebrows + I love big ass eyebrows

I'm gonna be honest, the hair was when I was trying to make my sona on Roblox but I obviously couldn't have my helmet, so a red base and cyan trihawk came along and it's stuck since then + I FUCKING LOVE MOHAWKS SO BAD

The blood is based off of glowstick liquid . Please trust me when I say to not eat glowsticks they do not taste good .

The colors are also kinda recycled from my old sona, but also because I fucking love red and cyan

The whole alien aspect is taken from the fact my birthday is on the same day as the Area 51 raid LMAO

THE HELMET . The helmet was a thing I scrapped from a really old oc of mine, which was kinda taken from Jasper (SU) . The addition for the jaw part was inspired by a bear trap

also these two that I use for this blog . They're obviously more jokey looking + I made it so they are both immortal beings that have existed since the dawn of time that just fuck around on Earth but yea it's also just me . but funny looking

Shes AroAce(just like me fr fr), n uses she/her. For now. Itll PROBABLY stay that way, cuz ive hard her like that for a LONG time, but if i start using other pronouns then ive prolly decided that shes pangender. Like me. Sparkles.

ANYWAYS heres a few random fun facts about that stupid whore

-Shes a Living Shadow, which is my own lil custom species. Idk if I'll end up lore dumping about the species itself or not.

-She has a DAUGHTER. Her name is Melody and shes both incredibly responsible and also a menace, and we love her for it. Shes also based on an axolotl.

-Shadow was just a full on Queen for a few years, before she finally was able to pass it down to Melody. She then proceeded to be even more of an absolute bastard to make up for those years she was forced to be responsible. Shes a little chaotic motherfucker, and if you see her in the castle you better run the FUCK away.

-Shadows like. Old as hell. I dont remember exact age, but iirc shes like mid 40s. Note, this is because i was roleplaying her in a chaotic ass server with a chaotic ass timeline and i simply cannot be bothered to age her down(if i did, Melody would poof out of existence and i dont want that, i love ky fucked up little queen)

-Shadows a SHORT ass motherfucker, and contrary to the fact above this one, i DO remember how short she is. Shes 5'2", and she holds enough rage to kill 56 grown men in her small little itty bitty frame(this does not reflect irl, i am unfortunately average height)

-Funnily enough, Shadow has both the goofiest and most traumatized backstory behind her scars. Like, a LOT of her scars are from self harm/suicide attempts, but also shes missing her hand because a character of mine from a complete other universe appeared and gnawed it off(bryseis my beloved).

-Shadow pissed off the Goddess of Death so much that she made Shadoe unable to die. Now you may be asking yourself: How the fuck is this a punishment. WELL. At the time, she was INCREDIBLY suicidal. Still kinda is. At this point, its switched from a punishment to just something thats kinda there now that Shadow and Trius(goddess of death) are friends.

-Shadow canonically has a MASSIVE alcohol problem. She bounces between drinking so much she passes out, and just putting a little wine with her coffee(it tastes disgusting) (she doesnt care)

-Shadow would probably have a smoking problem too, if she knew they existed. Nobody tell her cigarettes exist.

-Shadow drinks the strongest coffee you can possibly imagine. No its not healthy. Yes she drinks it anyways. Yes its kinda necessary(she has INSANE insomnia)

Anyways uh, shadow has some silly magic,, which is why in her ref she has illusions. She can create illusions, open portals, and melt into shadows, though that last one is something all Living Shadows have.

In Living Shadow culture or whatever, scars are INCREDIBLY frowned upon. Meaning, typically, if someone has even a small scar, they'll probably be hiding it with illusion magic. Shadow does the same thing, which is why I vary between drawing her with scars and drawing her without them.

Michael the Squid Man!

Well ladies and gentlemen, I’ve done it! After four years since the Inkling Mikaela pic I’ve finally gotten another one of my cast as an Inkling, my sona Michael… Holy crap, it’s really been four years since I got that pic? Sweet mother of Palutena!

So what made me want to get another Splatoon pic again after four years? Well I can tell you this, it WASN’T because of the recent news of the Splatoon 3 DLC that was shown in the recent Nintendo Direct! I have actually contemplated getting this for quite some time now. The Direct just made me want to commission this now more than ever! Does that count as trend surfing? Ehh, a little. There’s actually a few factors that contribute to me wanting to get this.

1: Splatoon 3 was one of my favourite games that I personally played in 2022. But not for the multiplayer because Splatoon 3’s multiplayer still has most of what stopped me from really getting into it all those years ago. But rather it was the single player that made me love Splatoon 3 as much as I did. The fact that it used Octo Expansion as a base to work of which was already one of the better campaigns in Splatoon, the way Small Fry was used, the lore of Alterna, some of the best boss fights in the series and that final hour of the game!

2: A friend on a Discord server offered to do people’s OC’s as Inklings in Gmod and I offered my sona. I did so at first thinking it could be fun to see as a what if. But then I actually saw what Inkling Michael looked like and I thought to myself “Okay yeah, THIS looks really dam good! I actually kinda want to do some stuff with them now!” And now I have! Them dressed in Agent 8’s outfit from Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion since my self insert is into latex no matter what universe they may be! Gotta have some consistency right?

Do I have any lore for this version of my sona? A little though I haven’t really given it a whole lot of thought. They are an Inkling who comes a far-off land known an Splatstralia (yeah that’s really the best I could come up with), lives in Splatsvile for now, is a Deep Cut fan, sometime does Salmon Run but prefers doing other odd jobs, his fav weapon to use is the N-Zap as that is my main in Splatoon when I DO play it online and has way to much time on his hands for a 26 year old Squid. Yes people, he’s the same age as my main sona! I have to say this because people genuinely seem to believe adult characters can’t exist in Splatoon for some reason! Yes there’s the whole “You’re a kid now, you’re a squid now” thing but not every character, Cannon or OC, is a child! Mine’s not! He is man! Though like me he’s not the manliest man in the world lol. “Is he with Shantae in this universe!?” I don’t know, maybe. If I ever do use this version more I’ll think about it.

Neven: I havent posted about them at all yet, but they're a girafarig charcter of mine! Also they/them, and they live in the same town as Coal!

Ebony: ive only ever posted a doodle from earlier this year but uh? Shes my yamask baby who might be the protagonist of a pokeblog one day! Shes baby.... she also has two best friends, Roxie (Houndour) and Apollo (Growlithe/Cosmog)!

MC: stands for main character lmao. If i ever made a fan pokemon game he'd be in it! He's a pikachu/mimikyu hybrid (i promise its not just mimikyu 2 dkdkkdjsk) and he never speaks!! Hes a real simple and fun lad

Watercolor: an extremely valid vaporeon that is worth mentioning! I wont have a whole lot to say about her, but she used to be a pokesona!

WIP Questions Tag Game

Because I have to start this blog off somehow! Say hello to some random facts about One Siren’s Soul.

... what, what do you mean I could post some actual writing? Pfft, no.

I actually got this game from @thelysstener​‘s blog and thought it was pretty cool! I wasn’t tagged or anything but I really like doing tag games. Hope you don’t mind!

1: Describe the plot in one sentence

Magical things get stolen from magical people, forcing a siren, a sea witch, a pirate, and a legend of the Royal Navy to begrudgingly work together to get them back. (Aka: A study in how Quill doesn’t know how to write story pitches yet) 2: Pick one sight, smell, sound, feel, and taste to describe the aesthetic for your WIP. (I definitely did not follow the “one” thing but too bad)

Sight: The soft, welcome blues of the sky peeking through clouds of a dispersing storm, the ocean below calm despite its froth of foam drifting across rippled dark water.

Smell: Salt and drying seaweed and rotting fish. And then a permeating, engulfing scent from the ocean that you can’t place or describe, like the very depths of its soul. Magic.

Sound: The howl of wind through a cave opening, a background of distant waves crashing amidst sea bird’s cries.

Feel: The crackling of static electricity through your fingertips as you smooth down the folds of your clothing on a stormy day.

Taste: The slight tang of something metallic. Is that blood, or sweat, or metal? Or all three? (Or the tears of my future readers?)

3: Which 3+ songs would make a playlist for your novel?

I’m normally better at making playlists for things but in this case I was really picky, so...

Your Bones by Of Monsters And Men (Probably one of the biggest inspirations for the overall aesthetic and just... feeling of my wip.)

4: What’s the time period and location in which your novel takes place? 

Early 18th century on an alternate Earth in the North Atlantic.

5: Are there any former titles you’ve considered but discarded? 

So uh. Funny story about that. One Siren’s Soul was originally going to start with ‘A’ instead of ‘One’. I realized pretty quickly why that wasn’t such a good idea, and also I just like how it sounds more, now? 6: What’s the first line of your novel? 

Mmmmm this is a first draft, mate, I don’t wanna touch that just yet. 7: What’s a line of dialogue you’re particularly proud of?

Oh, jeez. All of the ones I really like are heavily context dependent or ridden with spoilers. In lieu of those, have a somewhat-kinda-funny one:

“Colin! Nice to see yer up. Or, well. Down.” - George, right after Colin falls flat on his face in front of him.

10: Sort your characters into Hogwarts houses.

For some reason these sorts of things are always tough for me? I myself don’t fit in only one so I think that’s worn off on my characters. Here’s some approximates, though:

Gryffindor: Phoenix, Isabel, Colin

Ravenclaw: Dione, Alixandre

Hufflepuff: George, Sheila

Slytherin: Rose

I can’t decide whether Celestine is in Ravenclaw or Slytherin, and Io’s stuck somewhere between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

11: Which character’s name do you like the most?

Chichima is probably my favourite. Who’s that, you ask? Nyehehee.

Including full names it’d probably be Phoenix Solarin because if that isn’t the most over the top thing to name a pyro I don’t know what is.

12: Describe each character’s daily outfit:

I’m just... gonna do my PoV characters, since I have too many characters in general, and fashion (especially historical) is not my strong suit.

Celestine: Maroon, long-sleeved dress; long, cream woolen scarf; and a pair of dark brown, lace up leather boots.

Colin: Simple white tunic; red and multi-coloured knit sash around his waist; brown trousers; and black cavalier boots (but to be honest he goes barefoot way too often).

Phoenix: Simple white blouse; bright red sash around her waist and as a headband; dark trousers; and buckled black leather boots. She gets a scarlet frock coat with gold trim later on.

Dione: Honestly, I have no idea how to describe Dio’s clothes. Other than black felt boots and a light green dress-like thing, I know she has a billion hidden pockets and a giant, hooded, fur and wool cloak that covers over all of the rest of her clothes so you can’t even see them. I dunno.

13: Do any characters have any distinctive birthmarks/scars?

Phoenix has a tattoo of crossed cannons somewhere (and also her, you know, vitiligo), George probably has a couple sailor’s tattoos as well, Isabel only has one arm, Celestine is missing her whole left eye, and Io has very distinctive scarring that she hides and is totally not going to become plot important at all.

14: Which character most fits a character trope?

Maybe Sheila? She’s the sweet and kind old lady shopkeeper who has all the best juicy gossip for our main cast to conveniently learn of.

15: Which character is the best writer? Worst?

Dione. Just. No competition. She writes poetry in her free time. She keeps a diar—I-I mean journal. Also she has actual training in writing but you’re not supposed to know that so shhh. Worst is probably Colin. He can barely read due to his dyslexia and as a regular deckhand he never really had the need to learn anyways.

16: Which character is the best liar? Worst?

You’d think it’d be actual thief and criminal Celestine but no, it’s Phoenix. Also another character I can’t mention because spoilers. Worst would be Colin. That comes up a lot. Sorry, Colin.

17: Which character swears the most? Least?

Rose. Swears. A LOT. Celestine does in Spanish. Least would probably be Alixandre because he’s just... too sweet. Too innocent of a boi.

18: Which character has the best writing? Worst?

Dione also has the best handwriting, since spoiler reasons but also she’s just like that. Colin’s handwriting isn’t the best, but it’s actually Io’s absolute chicken scratch that takes the cake for the worst. You wonder how people can even read her ship logs.

19: Which character is the most like you? Least like you?

Fun fact: Colin was originally based on another character of mine that was originally based on a sona form of me. So. His clumsiness is a new development, I don’t have that, and I’m apparently really good at lying, so there’re some differences. (Also I’m a writer and he can barely read. Oops.) But that obliviousness? That absolute clueless, distractibility? That inability to sit still? Those terrible puns and attempts at being socially adept? That’s me.

20: Which character would you most like to be?

I think Phoenix? You’ll find out why that is in the book, ‘cause her true personality isn’t quite the one people think of her as having, but... yeah. Phoenix is fun.

I’m gonna ignore the rules like a rebel and not tag anyone, so I’ll just tag everyone who wants to do this, instead!

This is gonna be weird probably but, like, sometimes whenever I get sad about changing something about my characters’ lore or design, I like to imagine there’s two versions of the character. Canon and Meta.

Canon is exactly what it is; The actual character with its lore and story and design and generally clueless to their old versions.

Then there’s the Meta versions. The ones who’s stories and design and personalities have changed over time, growing up from a mere thought in my head, to something bigger- They change and shift and their narratives change, as well as their personalities, just like real people do, but also having their own awkward phases that their current selves are embarrassed by, like a reflection of me as the artist, and growing and changing alongside me.

Hindwing was but a minor character I drew for the background of a video. I made his design completely on a wim; But now he’s grown from just “Someone’s concerned friend” to “Smiling shyly in his first ref sheet” to “He’s a pony with his own struggles and friends and thoughts, and he age regresses to cope, but later gains more confidence whilst also staying true to his kind nature”.

Kitten, my fursona, has gone from “a storytime animator ripoff sona but pink and with cat ears” to a “traced cat thing off a bunch of pony bases I found and never credited” to “Actually she has a physical biology now, and her magic is purple, and she was taught by a mentor how to use her magic” and her hair’s changed from black to bright blue, and the shade of her fur’s pink has gone from edgy and dark and uncommon, to bright neon and cute and bubbly and happy. I’ve had her almost half my life by now, and she’s developed and grown so much.

I think the Meta! Versions of my characters would be kinda proud of how far they’ve come; How deeper their stories and the very fabric of their existence has become.

Even with scrapped characters that I discontinued or fused with others; They may no longer exist now, but they existed once; They lived and their stories half-told, and their memories are mine, the mistakes we made teaching me and guiding me on how I can do better, their influence living on in the characters I still have.

And they’ll continue to develop. My characters will change and look and act different, and they’re going to do it with me; My imaginary friends that I made real will always be there for me until I run out of creativity; and I’m not planning on doing that anytime soon.

I’ve recently had a conversation with our guest of today, Torben. Torben is a Germany based artist and convention seller that has recently entered this world of the Furry fandom.

Torben is as much a furry as a pony (Brony), he has made many friendships and bonds through the years, but he also didn’t started as a Brony, so in which fandom did he started that lead him to this point? Here’s what Torben had to say:

Wow that’s a long story … so back in the old days, way before pony, and way way before I entered, or had even heard of the furry  fandom, there was a fandom of Pokemon fans on Deviantart, a tightly knit community, called the Eon group, who were all people celebrating the Latias and Latios Pokemon, they where a Family to me, and soon my character who had started its life as a dratini, turned into a Latios, named Torby.

Torben has came a long way down until this point that leaves him with tons of experience in being part of fandoms, always helping the community and most importantly always giving the best of him for the community. But as Torben as a person has changed and gained more experience through the time, what about his character, is it still a Latios?

Torby is a kinda the cutsie version of my IRL name Torben, it was a shiny blue cute Lati, (gender neutral name for a oc based on latias and Latios) but when this community started to break after a few years, pony came in its place and so I took from the Lati design, creating a Lati pony, who would forthon represent me, also called Torby, he had been my sona for a long while, and even so much that I had a full body suit made, for me to be him.

But this wasn’t even over, because a new character would be created to be the main character of Torben because of the situation that would happen with a familiar OS that had a reputation…

When Windows 8 rolled around, a new character was born, everyone hated on the operating system, and everyone was so comically against it, that it made me want to try it  out, because I own a massive touchscreen display, and I didn’t find it to be half bad, and so I wanted to poke fun at the comical hate for the OS, so I made : Win 8 42 23, a Windows 8 pony robot, with a real soul, controlling its robot body, completely made to mimic the look of a real pony, she started growing on me more and more over time, till she became my main character sona, I loved the idea of being small and cute, and cuddly, wile torby was based more around my real life self, Win was my free time sona, to have fun with and feel like a kid again, enjoying exploring, traveling, and having a childlike fascination for the world, so she became my sona.

The main sona of Torben is Win, but I asked him If he had ever tried to make a sona different from a Pony and he answered:

When I entered the furry fandom, I thought a long time again about making a fursona, a long long time … I made some foxes, I’ve made some dragons, but I just loved the feeling of hooves more, in a weird way, dragons where too anthropomorphic for me, and and foxes … didn’t feel like something I could be … so I found the middle ground, I dressed Win up in a fox onesie, just like a human would wear a fox outfit, only that it was a Pony doing so, and so that’s why, my sona character is a Robot Windows 8 pony, looking like a normally pony filly, wearing a fox outfit.

Torben made his sona wear a fox outfit, and here is where the art part becomes really important, because he focuses in outfits, precisely prints, that is when he started his company called “Art N Prints”

Art N Prints had its starts in 2012 when I invested 50 euro in a burner and started making cute little wood burnings into boards of pony characters, used for breakfasting on these little burnings where a massive success financially for someone who started from nothing with almost 0 start investment and allowed me to be pretty well off while I was doing my apprenticeship as a technical designer. After investing in needless luxury items, I found that it was time to try something new, so I made pictures of these wood boards, and combined them to combined pictures, and shaped them into the shapes of ponies, with the help of friends of mine, and the success continued, I sold about 1000 shirts of this kind, with having 5 different designs, and even to this day, I still see people wearing them at conventions.

This company was a great hit for him, were in 2016-2017 was one of the largest sellers of brony merch in the market, and he also worked with the best artist in the market too, but after the event as he calls “the pony crash”.

I hit the pony crash … and it hit hard, sales plummeted, and less and less events in the Winter time caused a Winter of almost no sales  due to lack of money, that was where I saw that I needed to expand, to survive.

Torben after suffering from the “Pony crash”, he created his now new company called Fur N prints.

After having visited Eurofurence, I started getting into the furry community not from a business perspective, but out of own interest as pony declined more and more, I needed a new community to call my internet family.  So I started working with furry artists, on designs and and I visited my first furry con I sold at, people loved my merch, and especially the ability of onsite Production, so I started to build Fur “N” Prints, that’s where I am now.

This is were now our young artist is starting his new business, were he promised to give everything from him trying to give people who give a chance, the best quality, the best materials, and also all his effort, to make the perfect shirt.

Now I’m leaving you with some words that Torben wanted to say to the fandom:

Thanks for accepting the weird wacky person I am, and for welcoming me.  I’m looking forward to wonderful times within your community, and with you as individuals, I’m looking forward to dive into more and more of your creativity and to feel at home here. and I look forward to meeting you at the cons I am to visit.

Cobalt’s Visual novel/Sim date recommendations

because playing these is what i spent all valentines day doing and i don’t have anybody to talk to them about,so here- for all you vn lovers,have some recommendations you may or may not have already played!

Starting off simple.. Pacthesis games.  if you’ve been playing vn/sim dates for a while,you’ve probably played or at least heard of pacthesis. her games are fun and cute,and simpler then a lot of other vns i’v played- and actually,her games sparked my interest in the genre. her games are great if you are just getting into sim dates,or want something small just to pass time. (my fave is number days- so personally,i recommend playing that first)

Next up, Halloween otome at the moment,this is my absolute favorite vn. the story beings when you,the main character,wins a contest and gets to take part in a Halloween costume party event for celebrities. while participating in the event,which is done in the form of a story and many fun little mini games to play,you can fall in love with one of your three team mates. personally,i found all the characters very endearing,and i have played this game over again many many times. the art is very good,and i’m very excited for synokoria’s next game~ Autumn’s journey is another personal fave of mine.  the story is centered around a wannabe knight named Auralee,and her adventures with two dragons-turned-human,named Kerr and Ilmari. the story is very easy to fall in love with,an interesting fantasy world with lovable character’s- and who doesn’t love dragons?? this game centers more around friendship,though each character has a romance ending,which i thought was really cute. the art is absolutely adorable,and the story had me in tears by the end- definitely give this one a play if you like vn’s~

Aloners waking up in a post apocalyptic world with no memories is quite upsetting. even more so when the first person you see if holding a gun in your face. aloners is an interesting game,with a story that revolves around surviving in a world that’s trying to kill you and falling in love with your sole companion. one of my fave things about this game is how you can sort of define who your main character is on your own. it feels like a bit of a longer game fist time around,but i’d definitely give this one a go. i really got into the story,and grew very fond of trash,the main/persuadable character~ Backstage pass unlike the previous games,backstage pass is not a free game. however,i personally think the price is pretty worth it (if you can get it on sale then definitely go for it,haha) the story stars Sian,a makeup artist and college student,who happens to be best friends with Adam Eaton- a talented musician and singer. during their first few days at college,sians father falls and injures himself. the game involves making friends with other stars (such as a model named Matthew,and an actor named john) while trying to make enough money to survive off of. the stat raising gets a bit stressful at times,but i found that after my first play i could figure them out pretty easily. the at is very nice,it has an animated into and ending,and is voiced. all in all,backstage pass is a pretty great game in my eyes- i’ve played it several times,though since it takes longer to play,i haven’t found myself finishing the friendship endings just yet... Nusantara let me start off by saying- bird people and lizard people. Nusantara stars Tamara,a girl who’s being forced to move in with her uncle. while waiting for him to pick her up,she comes across a talking bird and follows it. She meets a strange women in an alley way,and falls into her adventure alice in wonder land style- and then almost drowns. out of all of these games,nusantara has one of my favorite stories,and i played this game from beginning to end without stopping,i was so in love with it. the characters are all interesting,though let me just give a small trigger warning for some sensitive themes during parts of the game (mainly suicide mention and self harm) its a very interesting game with beautiful art,that i highly recommend. i’m very excited for this creators upcoming game,as well! a2 ~a due~ one of the first ones i played,a2 holds a special place in my heart. it’s a cute,simple game about the love of music and overcoming language barriers. the game features Sona song,a rocker who’s father has passed on after years of not talking to him. much to her annoyance,she inherits his orchestra. while she’s not very interested and would rather slack off,she meets Hao- a Chinese man who’s determined to whip the orchestra into shape. the game has a friendship and romance ending,plus some extra surprises for finishing everything~

My favorite match to quote the synopsis, ”After her heart's been shattered by the man she'd loved for years, the protagonist is approached by a young man offering his services as a matchmaker to help restore her faith in love.” that really is the easiest way to sum this one up! its simple and cute,and hey- kinda perfect to play on valentines day~ the art is adorable,and the story is simple and pleasant. pick this one up if you want something more chill~

Magicial otoge ciel part of a series that’s still in production,magical otoge ciel is a simple game,with really one deciding point for the route you get on. it follows Ciel,a princess who just wants to explore and go on adventures,and her partners- Florien and Anton,her royal guards and a man named Yvin who is..well,i’ll let you figure that one out yourself. it is a very cute and pure game,and managed to bring a dopey grin to my face. the art style is very pretty,and the game is packed with humor and puns~ if you like this game- give Magical Otoge Anholly a try too! but uh,be ready to cry.

Locked heart a ‘goldilocks and the three bears’ and ‘Beauty and the beast’ inspired story,Locked heart is based around Aura- an outgoing girl who stumbles into the cured d’lockes house while trying to avoid a storm,and accidentally gets wrapped up in the lives of the house,and reversing the curse. its a fairly short game,but super endearing in my opinion~

RE: Alistair++ made by sake visual- the creators of backstage pass,though it was made long before it. this is another one of my first plays,and though i haven’t replayed it in a while,when i first found it i played it again and again for hours on end.  the story begins when merui,the main character,gets fed up with a jerk in an MMO. after discovering he goes to her school,she makes a bet on finding him. there are three possible suspects. Shiro,a kind of quiet classmate that shes never really spoken with. Travis,a grumpy guy who spends a lot of time in the computer lab. and Derek,an outgoing,popular basketball player. the art in this game is a little old,compared with their new stuff,and if i remember right the stat raising is a bit more annoying- but its still a very good play~

Hustle cat i. love this one. i honestly do- and not just because the main character shares a first name with me,though that IS rare~ before getting into the story,let me just say that this game is not free. however,it features the option to choose you appearance and pronouns (you can even change them mid game play!) the art is very very cute,and i grew very attached to all of the main characters very quickly. like in autumns journey,i really felt the kind of warm,friendship feeling between the main characters which i love. the story line is very interesting,and has a lot of magic to it. i don’t really wanna spoil anything for this one,but the price is really worth it. <3

Lucky rabbit reflex! i’ll begin by saying that the art is..not great. if that bothers you,you may want to skip this one- especially since it’s not free. HOWEVER,if you can put that aside- i personally found the characters,humor,and story quite interesting. i’ve played every single route,and can say i was honestly really happy with them. the stat raising is a bit harder then RE: alistair and Backstage pass,but its not a game breaker for me.

Mystic messenger if you like sim date games and haven’t played mystic messenger,go on your phone and download it because it is...so good. it kinda ruined my life?? but i will say,make sure you have time- because this game requires attention at random points during the day for 11 days.

Heart baked i’m..almost not sure how to explain this one? look it just kinda is what it is and its very cute. give it a look.

April was a fool i’m going to quote the synopsis again for this one,because it does it much more justice then i could off the bat “Two years ago, six heroes rose to stop an Evil Overlord from taking over the world. They were honored as World-Class Heroes for their efforts. When a new threat appears, His Majesty King of Castle City calls upon these same Heroes once again. However - for tragic reasons, only five of them are available.Faced with the reality that admitting to the king why one person isn't there would be too difficult, the Heroes approach May, a young girl who is just starting her first job to raise money for school, for help. Soon, she's whisked away with them to battle Dragons, inner demons, and the occasionally pushy suitor on a journey to vanquish Evil and save the world.” it has very bright,cute and shiny art and endearing characters. i believe there is a paid version in the works,but for now it is free and i highly recommend this one.

and finally.. Hatoful boyfriend date birbs. just do it. this game costs,so if its worth it or depends on..how much you want to date birbs. bonus! Animal lover this just came out today,and it took me all day to play one route- but goodness..i adored it so much. it has a similar vibe to hustle cat in a way,and i was enthralled in the story the whole time i was playing. the art is amazing and the characters are fantastic. i feel as though i can’t give a full review yet,but give this one a try with me if you like~ heads up though,this is not a free game. it also contains some nudity.  Thanks for reading! i hope i’ve given you something new to enjoy. if you play any of these and wanna come yell about them with me,please feel free,hahaha
