Second of all, I finally got done with my finals week (“I got my ass kicked bruh, I ain't postin that shit–”) and I wanted to wind down with an amazing writing from you.

I wanted to request a fanfic (or a headcannon, whatever is best for you) with the pairing “Blades X Human!GN!Reader” where Blades has a massive crush on Dani's best friend, the reader.

The reader is basically this sweet and motherly teacher that starts to care about Blades after seeing the bots tease him about something when they came over to visit their old classmate, Dani. They defend him, they care about Blades and don't even mind his occasional stutter while he's talking to them and we all know what might happen in the future...

The sound of chatter slowly got closer to the Firehouse, the sound of Dani and another person. You both entered the firehouse garage with a smile and the Rescue Bots were surprised. You were a very close friend of Dani’s, being her primary school best friend and her present best friend. You two got along really well and Dani did enjoy talking about you quite a bit, you were such a kind and motherly person who always had sympathy for others.

When it got obvious that the Rescue bots were confused and staring, Dani decided to introduce you to them.

“Oh, right. (Y/N), these are the rescue bots! Heatwave, Chase, Boulder and Blades, my partner. I’m sure you’ve seen them during savings, pretty sick allies. Team, this is (Y/N)”

“Oh, adorable! They look so cool! It’s so nice to meet you 4.”

”… Hey.”

”Greetings, (Y/N).”

“It’s nice to meet you too!”

“H- huh? OH! H- hey..?”

You chuckled as Blades looked away from the TV, he looked like a child hypnotised by the internet. Blade’s face turned into a light baby blue and Heatwave nudged him from behind.

”Heh, the internet keeping you busy, kid?”

”Actually it is! It’s very entertaining!”

You saw right through Blade’s weak ego and embarrassment, so you decided to stand up for the poor fella.

”Hey now, Heatwave, be nice… Blades was merely just enjoying his hobby, I heard from Kade that you like to do martial arts. Blades goes onto the internet and you do martial arts. Do you understand?”

“… Understood.”

”Alright, why don’t you apologise to Blades now?”

“Right, uh… Sorry, Blades.”

Blades’s light blue hue only grew bigger, you were so kind to him and you two just met. He just nodded as an acceptance to Heatwave’s apology and looked at you with a look that screamed ‘You're too kind’. You looked up to him and patted his leg as a sign of comfort and trust.

You started to come by more often, you wanted to help the Rescue bots to get more used to society. Since you were a teacher, you had a lot of patience. You saw it as a silly activity to teach massive sentient robots simple human mannerisms.

Suddenly strange feelings grew in Blades. It felt like there were daisies that were blooming to be spread around, showing how bright and beautiful it is to the world. He felt the radiance of the colours and scent spread across his chassis and it tickled a bit. Is it love? Is this the true feeling you get? The needy feeling of want and affection? It felt like a melodramatic romance, the stupidly entertaining ones that Dani recommended.

A few months pass and noticeably Blades still has feelings. He didn’t understand why due to the lack of romance he experiences. There's always a small image of you living rent free in his processor. He always thought romance, kisses and cuddles were kinda strange but now he understands and he is obsessed.

“Dani, so you know those ‘feelings’ you have with Taylor?”

“Yes- Are you gonna question me again?”

“Not this time… Well- just one question. What if you’ve liked somebody for a few months but you're too scared to tell them your true feelings?”

“Wait, you actually like somebody? Whoo is ittt?”

“It’s nothing important! Just answer my question.”

“… Is it (Y/N)?”

“… How’d you know?”

“Blades, I’m your partner and it’s pretty noticeable. Ever since they defended you, you’ve been talking to them more often to the point it’s desperate. It’s like you with Bee.”

“Bumblebee and I are just best friends! Please don’t tell her…”

“Alright, alright.”

After a week, she felt like she needed to tell you. It’s because Blades can’t keep it in forever but he is too scared to speak up to you. She went to her room and grabbed the phone, ringing for you while getting onto her bed.

“Hey Dan! How’s it going, girl?”

“Hey, (Y/N). I got some crazy stuff to tell you, dude.”

“Oh? Go for it.”

“So you know Blades? Turns out he’s been in love with you for the past few months.”

“I- Sorry, I didn’t get that. Blades actually likes me?”

“Yeah, it’s crazy!”

“I mean I don’t mind really. He can be cute and… Look, would you mind if we go further?”

“Depends… Go for it!”

You shut the phone off and exit your house, walking to the firehouse with a faint smile. You lightly knock on the garage door with your usual pattern, letting the Rescue Bots know it's you. Blades opened the garage door and gave a massive smile, waving.

“Hiii (Y/N)! You came earlier than usual, you wanna go for a flight rideee?”

“Hm.. Of course, if that’s what you want then I’m okay with it too.”

Blades quickly transformed and opened his hood, you hopped on as Dani came to the garage and watched you and Blades leave. Dani just smirked and went back to her room.

“So, Blades, do you have something to tell me?”

“What? No?”

“Oh, well Blades, somebody told me that you have some certain feelings for me. I’m okay if this is the case… Blades?”

Blades silence told you all you needed to know, even his head-screen showed his flustered face. You giggled and traced a finger across the control pad, trying to show him your comfort. Blades faintly pouted. You leaned to the screen and smiled.

“I wouldn’t mind if you want to take it further, your choice.”

Chapter 2 - A place to rest

Previous chapter:

"C'ome on! I even checked it for you, it should be safe enough."

"How can I... be sure of what... lies beyond if you... are... imaginary?"

Defeated, he sighs.

We have been arguing for a while now and the rain outside hasn't stopped at all.

"I'm going to...one of the stores... usually they have a room... in the back that can be... locked." Old words slowly enter my mind. I guess I didn't forget everything.

"But the clock tower has a better view, you can be certain of your surroundings and make better plans for when the rain stops!"

"Quiller... I am not going in there-!"

Quickly I place my hand in front of my mouth and stop talking.

I must have yelled too loud, because I hear something approaching us.

Something dragging.

Another walking faster.

Shit!

Taking out just one is already quite the feat, two might be impossible, especially in such a confined space.

I've lived like this for years, but only thanks to knowing when to run and when to fight.

After all... they aren't a lot like zombies from old moving pictures.

And it certainly wasn't a virus that caught them.

Not a virus any human or animal could have gotten.

Quickly and quietly I hide behind a corner.

I see the two- no... four!

There's four of them!

Goddammit!

They're still scanning their surroundings.

I just hope they don't-

The one that seems to be the leader looks straight at me, making a strange noise.

Quiller is standing by the door to the tower: "I think this really is our safest bet."

"You... you asshole, you knew didn't you?! You planned for this to happen!"

I don't look at his face, I don't want to look at it.

Wow, betrayed even by an imaginary fiend.

I hold my spear in a way to protect myself as one of them lunges at me.

Before I know it I'm surrounded.

Their half decaying flesh, half robotic faces look hungry at me.

"You assholes fight like... like bitches!" I yell at them, knowing full well the futility of it. The same strange words I recognize as curses leave my mouth one after another.

How strange... but it feels right.

Trying to give myself an escape route I slice off an arm from one of the creatures.

With a sloshy thud it falls onto the floor and rolls away.

Almost immediately a new arm starts to grow, one not made of flesh... but of some kind of metal.

A dark liquid spills onto the floor, smelling like a combination of something rotting and machine oil.

As I try to slice the new one off, I'm only able to dent it a little bit.

I feel my hope sink.

"I guess I have no choice but to use 'that'..."

I take a small machine from one of the pockets in my belt.

It's still a work in progress, but this is better than nothing.

Do I really have to use my piece of hard-work here?

Well... I guess it beats dying.

In a swift movement I press a button and make it stick to one of my attackers' heads.

I'm sorry...

The creature starts to scream.

A scream sounding more and more like that of a human it once was.

I'm sorry...

The others get alerted by the sound and start attacking their once fellow creature.

I hate to do this, but a better decoy doesn't exist.

Even if the creature had become fully human again, it would have died in an instant.

I haven't found anything against that yet.

Quickly and quietly I rush to Quiller.

I give him a glare, saying: 'Fine... I will do it your way asshole!' and get myself through the small door in the ceiling.

He seems to be slightly frightened by my cursing.

It's a good thing I've gotten used to doing parkour.

Jumping from one wall to the other and climbing up is nothing.

I breathe a sigh of relief as I notice that it doesn't end in a small space to crawl through.

I might have gone right back out if that was the case.

It's open.

I close the small door behind me, I really don't want those creatures getting up here and then I turn my flashlight on to look around.

The room is mostly empty, except for the layer of dust and an old couch.

The clock is the window, but it has gotten so dirty thanks to the dust, seeing through it is nearly impossible.

I scan through the room with the light in my hand, I really hope there is nothing up here.

There is a dusty, old couch in the middle and the only source of light is coming from the dirty clock, that's also somewhat of a window.

Luckily there is no one here.

"Hey, are you okay?" Quiller asks, looking rather worried: "You didn't get bit, right?"

I shake my head, I better not answer him right now.

Those creatures one floor below us, worry me.

I carefully walk over to the couch.

Maybe now is the best time to start reading that book.

I take the old object out of my bag and open it.

hmmm.. well! first i do wanna preface this with the obligatory "i'm not hating on anybody with this, u do u and i do me is my genuine philosophy. i'll respect u from the distance if you do the same for me"

aight so i'm not gon list every ship in the fandom that has spawned in outta the stardust n give my specific opinion on it, cuz i'm not exactly keepin up

the only two ships i don't mind n find cute on the paper are NSH x Moon and Arti x Gour cuz both of them have that Old People Love Each Other in Easy Peace Despite The Circumstances Surrounding Them kick to them. i'm a weak bitch for that type of troupe for romantic relationships. not gon do anythin with 'em in my own stuff, though

i find myself more interested in the entirely and wholly platonic interpretation of everything in the game. platonic love is a matter of course, makin the story flow feel more smoother to me for that while also stayin nicely close to that religious narrative of the game (u can fight me on this but the Ancients' religion isn't *wrong*. the bad thing that happened with it is that it was taken to extremes and variety wasn't allowed. i could tell you why riddin oneself of the third and fifth sin isn't a bad idea at all- afterall, i kind of live by that myself!- and what they probably meant by riddin yourself of the sins without the extremist approach)

for the other ships... 🤔

well, the iterators are far too rooted in my head as sibs to vibe with ships with them, but more properly told: • Suns and Pebs are too much of "teacher and naive student" to me and i also find this dynamic more interesting to explore. uuuuu how spicy it is to think of Suns brainwashing Pebs but meaning it well uuuuuuuuuu • Suns and NSH are... let's just say that if i was in NSH's place and Suns talked to me like that i'd slap them so fuckin hard n if i WAS in a romantic relationship with them i'd dump them then and there (not in a bitchy ex kind of way, i'd be still down to talk, but i can't imagine bein in a relationship where the other half calls the most likely inevitable death of your closest friend a "setback" to their brainwashing of that friend's little brother would be Very healthy) • n i think what is the only other iterator ship left, Sliver and Moon... i find it kind of silly, honestly? like as far as *i* know the main reason why that exists is cuz Moon remembers what happened with Sliver after being given her own pearl about some notes she wrote herself on Sliver despite being baround three gazillion bagillion braincells short. i don't really see that as a strong incentive to start shippin 'em cuz like. you give Moon a very solid memory jogger and right in her second set of monologue she states that Sliver is literally a legend among the itties-titties. the best i can compare it to a real life thing is asking an american if they have any idea who Abraham Lincoln was at all. or asking a slovak if they knew who Finally managed to solidly establish our language after centuries of oppression. like of Course you're going to know That even on ur deathbed??? those are incredibly important historical figures for you n your home!!! also c'mon she remembers the feckin bug pupae, if THAT stuck in there this big boy info is def gon be kickin around

as for the slugcats... well ehh..... you can probably guess from what i mainly draw that i'm not Too focused on the slugs, only maybe Hunter so my slugshippin lore knowledge is p weak. when i first saw the slugshippin take off before i started postin bout RW again i thought it was silly to ship animals n still kinda do? 🤷‍♀️ doesn't help that canonically they have no business meeting each other except Monk n Surv (that is a strong No to shippin) and Hunter's writhing corpse n Gour (we are Not ducks we do not support necrophilia). i generally like to stick to the timeline, personally. good world-building. i respect good world-building too much to deviate too hard

i have. so many thoughts about the relationship between barbarian rage & the dark urge, because the two are so similar-- the loss of control, the bloodlust, the reaching beyond your mortal capacities to become an instrument of death...

but rage also has a survivalist component that the urge doesn't, and in my head, that's the aspect of being a barbarian that cyrus first reaches for. in the fight outside of the emerald grove, he ends up pinned underneath the warg and close to having his throat torn out. already once dead and resurrected that morning, some quiet, half-conscious part of him says no, i want to live. and he taps into a well of resilience he didn't know he had, sprouting his wings and finding a frightening, furious desire to survive.

when the haze of blood dims (because it never disappears completely), cyrus begins to worry that this new way of fighting is feeding his urge, and it takes him a lot of time & introspection to separate those two things. to understand that his rage taps into something deeply and fundamentally his, whatever profound and minuscule kernel of himself that can be said to be his alone and not bhaal's. becoming a path of ancestral guardians barbarian--being able to use his rage not just to kill or to survive but to protect others--is a part of that realization.

also, i don't think durge!cyrus was a barbarian pre-tadpoling. he was still plenty ruthless, but too poised and efficient and perfect for that kind of butchery. rather, he was an order of the profane soul blood hunter (instead of post-tadpoling ghost slayer) with bhaal as his patron with a couple of levels of oath of conquest paladin. bc. it's not cyrus if there aren't some levels of paladin in there somewhere.

(and i know bhaal probably doesnt count as a great old one, but i think you could do something fun chaining its frightened on a crit + aura of conquest's auto psychic damage to frightened creatures...)

OOC: Yep! That would be Lil (Miyulil/ 80s Miyumi if I wanna be more specific)

The most basic description for her is that she is Y0's rendition of Miyumi! She's a hostess, aaaaand that's about it! This is when I wish I wrote some more stuff down- But from what I remember? She's been working as a hostess for about...? 6 years by the time the events of Y0 play out. During those 6 years she hopped from club to club since she kept getting fired, the most notable of those being at the Grand for half a second lmao. She dated Nishitani for a bit, then dumped him... then kinda regrets dumping him (girl just can't make up her mind...), has a MAD CRUSH on her current manager at Sunshine since she thinks the eyepatch is cute... She also toned down her entire gang leader persona just to get/keep customers at clubs? But ultimately all that did was rewrite her personality to be some ditsy bland hostess. I think the only thing she kept/adapted from that time was a decent workout routine and love for fighting. SO she does have a decent amount of muscle! (hence her picking up Yu aka 90s Miyumi).

SAGE 2023 Postin'

Yay!! SAGE 2023 has started! Last year I didn't make the time to play much of anything despite having a year to do it lmao, and that really bummed me out so I really wanted to get ahead of the curve and go ahead and play some stuff! Idk how much I'll play from this year's showing cause there's a LOT of great stuff! But I'll make however many posts it takes. Here's what I played tonight that I think YOU should check out!!

Dotty Game - by Wootinaboot

A game from a friend of mine! This is a SUPER cute Megaman like where you play as an ADORABLE little bug and blast mushrooms! This demo is really neat cause it's actually a gameboy file that I had to play through emulator! Although, you can just play it in browser on their itch so that's nice too! Controls are tight, sprites are great, music is REALLY nice and I was surprised by how challenging it could get with some of the bosses. There's also a LOT of hidden stuff to find so be sure to play it all the way through! You do NOT want to miss the special surprise let me tell you!

The Wingless Bee - by Ryansil

Another game from a friend and famously, the creator of Pac-Man as you all know. This game I was not expecting at all, it's actually very similar to Frogger! Though it is kind of gloomy and sad. But it's cool and the demo really shows some neat stuff like perspective changes and boss fights. It's simple but I genuinely had an out loud "AHA!" moment when I figured out how to fight the boss. Cool stuff!

Sonic McOrigins Plus - by Difgue

FINALLY, GAMING IS GOOD AGAIN! I have SO MUCH nostalgia for these old Sonic McDonald's toys! I tried to collect all of them but obviously couldn't (I didn't even realize there were SO many!) But I can relive wonderful memories of Shadow Grinding, Shadow vs Omega Hockey, AiAi Banana Catcher, Amy and Rouge Tennis ect ect. I knew there were efforts to archive these types of game & watch styled games but I hadn't really tried any before myself. This feels great and even works great on my dinky phone!

F-ZERO POCKET - by Linky493

This was such a neat one! F-ZERO on Gameboy Color! It has a TON of characters and tracks, I was actually seriously shocked by how much was in here. It's a little difficult to play though but weirdly enough I feel like that's authentic to how a GBC F-ZERO would be. If you're a fan you gotta check it out the novelty of this one alone is so good!

Toree Saturn - by Siactro

Probably the least surprising thing I've ever said by this point: I love Toree! I've played the whole series and I think at this point I've S ranked every stage in the series??? Maybe? It's been a bit since I looked. So of course I had to try Toree Saturn! I hadn't seen gameplay prior to playing this so I figured it was just gonna be another level pack. But to my delight, no! It's actually a Toree Sequel! A brand new game! New models, new moves and mechanics! Now I am BEYOND excited for this game! I still have to play Kiwi 64 but it looks amazing and Siactro hasn't missed once yet. This was a lovely surprise!

Dono's Tale - by Super Item Studios

WOW! WOW WOW WOW! This one absolutely blew me away! I've had my eye on this game for a bit (I'm so sorry I missed the kickstarter, y'all, I WISH I HAD MORE MONEY I'D FUND SO MANY INDIE GAMES!) But I finally got to try it with this demo and just WOW! This game is SO good! Absolutely GORGEOUS artwork that looks so authentically SNES it's amazing. Super cute music and designs, this was an absolute treat! My favorite powers were fire + wings! I wish you had more use for the other powers, though I do assume a full game will have levels soley based around each of Dono's abilities. This game rules!

Bub's Big Blowout - by Miles' Games

DUDE THIS GAME LOOKS REAL!? FAN GAMES JUST STRAIGHT UP LOOK LIKE OFFICIAL GAMES NOWADAYS THIS IS NUTS!! Bub's Big Blowout is a 3D Platformer translation of Bubble Bobble and honestly, it rules! I genuinely think Taito should give them the resources they need to make this a real game cause this is SO high quality and it's just the demo! I don't even think the game is done. This seriously looks and feels amazing! Only issue is I couldn't get my controller to work with it, but if it did I think this would feel almost 100% official

Sonic Battle Rush - by FreeGilio

A 2D Sonic Fighter? Using Sonic Battle Sprites? And Shadow has a Mephiles alt? YES YES YES!! A 2D Sonic Fighting Game is basically one of my dream games, but surprisingly I haven't tried any of the dozen fan attempts at the concept... Until today! This demo only features Sonic and Shadow and 3 stages, but it absolutely RULES! Both characters feel fantastic and unique and have fully fleshed out movesets! I was even able to string together some goofy little combos by myself and overall it felt super satisfying to play. Also there's a ton of modes and even ways to loadout your characters such as having 2 at once or taking turns. So the demo has lots to do! I'll absolutely be keeping up with this game going forward!

Today I just played some stuff that caught my eye from the SAGE 2023 trailer but I will try to play some more stuff as the year goes along! There's so many amazing indie games it's genuinely hard to keep up with all of them. But SAGE is seriously becoming my favorite place to just discover new stuff or finally get to try things I'm excited for! Again I'm bummed it just kinda slipped my mind to try anything from last year but already we're not repeating that mistake. I encourage you to go try some stuff too if you have the time! Or at least just take a look at what's available! Everyone put in a LOT of hard work on these games!

30 DAYS OF AUTISM ACCEPTANCE 2023

I was busy and tired as hell for the last week, so I'm postin answers for questions 1-6 all in one post

1 April: The typical introduction question! Tell us something about yourself. If you can't think of anything, try these: What do you enjoy to do in your free time? What music or series/show do you like? Are you happy with your current living situation/the people you live with? What's one of your favourite foods?

My name is Jarvis, I'm 24 y.o. self-diagnosed autistic person. Also, I'm a trans guy. I'm Belarusian, but currently studying in Poland. I have degree in pharmacy, but my working experience was borderline traumatising, so I hope to switch into biology since animals are my major special interest. In terms of hobbies, I'm mostly into drawing, handmade, and fantasy/sci-fi media, especially Star Wars and Genshin Impact. I also play Ark Survival Evolved time to time, since it's a perfect combo of sci-fi, open world and dinosaurs, and it's all about building your own home and taming creatures. My music taste is mostly not very "hard" subgenres of metal, something like Sabaton or Metallite. Favourite food - probably something from Chinese cuisine, or something with mutton.

2 April: When were you diagnosed and when did you know that you're autistic? If you're self-diagnosed, when did you first suspect that you're autistic and when were you sure?

It's actually a funny story because… It all started with my mother calling my dog autistic as a joke. My doggo is rather shy and reserved, and kind of slow in his reactions, and also don't always understand how to play with other dogs or humans. And he's not even a big calm dog like a newfoundland, he's a pomeranian.

So I noticed that traits that my dog is called "autistic" for are kinda matching some traits I have myself. I've got curious and decided to google it, and ended up in a rabbit hole of self-diagnosis lasting for the las 7 years.

3 April: How good or bad is your memory for things people say? For example verbal instructions. If you're deaf: Can you lip read? Do you think your autism influences your ability to lip read?

Bad… Especially when they give a whole list of instructions right away. I usually get the first instruction, and my mind starts to focus on it too much, thinking about how I would actually do the task. But as the result, I completely miss the rest of instructions because they turn into background noise, and if I try to focus on them too, I completely forget the first one.

4 April: Were/are you in special education? Regular school? Home schooled? A private school? Did it change over time? Did/do you like it?

My mother has always been against me going to a psychologist, even though people around were noticing something and sugested it to her a couple of times. And even if I was sent to a doctor, I doubt that those old brats who stick to USSR medical books would have ever notice something in a girl who's just a little bit weird and was bullied in school for no particular reason. But I was a smart one, so starting with second grade I was studying in a gymnazium (in Belarus we call so more "elite" schools with extended programm, but it's still a state school)

5 April: Did/do you have accommodations at school/IEP? If not, do you think it would help/have helped you?

Sadly I didn't have accomodations, some teachers were even ignoring the fact that I was one of the most bullied students. Vice versa, they were often calling me out on my behavior, that turned out to be my atism. The only thing that was kinda saving me is that I had good grades and was a very sucsessful participant of biology competitions, so they let slide some things like drawing during classes (my form of stimming at that time). Of course it got worse at university, were I was contantly stressed and didn't have "the one who brings medals to the school" shield anymore. I really wish that my surrounding weren't at least so mean to me, not even speaking about specific accomodations.

6 April: Can you understand what people say when they talk fast, or do you lose track after a while? Was it different when you were younger? Additional question if your hearing is aided: If your hearing is aided, does that trigger sensory overloads sometimes?

Honestly, no. It turns into unidentifiable gibberish almost right away and I need to ask people to stop and repeat the whole thing. And I have always been like that, which honestly was often a source of annoyance to people around me.
