im sorry but this
Tumblr media
This makes me imagine him proceeding to laugh, like in those scenes and stuff where protag hits the antag in some way and then they burst out laughing, finding it funny that the protag was able to be brave(?) enough to do that or something
But also not sorry, that just makes him seem hotter to meee god my fictional types are very unhealthy
You are exactly right! Moon, was indeed, going to start chuckling! I just didn't finished that bit. Maybe I'll write about that scene instead

Okay, so, wild speculation time but: I think Nashi could appear in Duskmourn: House of Horror. Like, in a major role.
Now, I, obviously, do not wish harm upon Tamiyo's beloved ratperson son, but also I think there are a bunch of factors that make it make sense for this to happen. [Edit to add: uh wait hang on we got some Duskmourn art in the [admittedly too long] I spent writing this?! Really?!]
Like, enough that I'm going to stick a "read more" in here.
Anyway, to start off: Wizards probably does need some established characters to Experience the Horrors. Like, there's the idea of horror as corrupted familiarity - already-known characters can be a source of said familiarity. It's why all those Pokémon creepypastas exist[1]. Also every set has at least some tie, at the very least thematically, to the larger plot (yes even Zendikar Rising). This, obviously, doesn't necessarily mean Nashi, specifically, has to be there, but it is relevant context for all the rest of this.
Nashi is teen-coded [I do not know quite how old he's meant to be, and him being a Nezumi might complicate it, but he is still A Teen in every important respect]. Now, I am no Modern Horror Expert (tm), but a lot of those stories do focus on teen characters and... in terms of the present timeline we have Nashi, Kellan and. Uh. Shadowblayde-with-a-y? Like there are not that many Teen characters, especially with the recent timeskips. Like, Rat might technically be 19 at the youngest now. And, speaking of Rat, well, with apologies to her fans, I think we're still close enough to War of the Spark for Wizards to be nervous about introducing a new character to be the token teenager [in the main story. There might be other Teenaged Horror Protag/Victim creature cards in there].
Nashi also just starred in a story in a set with 43 other Legendary Creatures [not including Commander exclusives, or Loot], despite not getting a card himself. This might just be because Wizards let Akemi Dawn Bowman write whatever for her OTJ side-story, but there might well be a reason they brought Nashi back here. (I mean, it's a good story, and sometimes Side Stories are just there, but I'm assuming relevance for the sake of argument.)
"A Long Way From Home" further established Nashi's power as cameras - indeed, his entire thing as telling stories through cameras. The very limited information we have for Duskmourn includes the set logo. Which has freaking scanlines. Also cameras and found footage and people attempting to record the horrors for posterity are all modern horror staples [I would do a list but it would get long]. Again, Nashi is the clearest link to these tropes 'normally', and he's just about reckless enough that him getting involved doesn't seem particularly OOC.
Finally, Nashi uses his OP camera powers to steal an "elixir" described thusly: "The liquid was deep red and unmistakably metallic. There was no writing on the bottle, but Nashi's nostrils flared when he picked up its scent. The magic was abhorrently pungent, and the stench made his eyes water.".
I don't think anyone has managed to ID this incredibly suspicious potion. He presumably went ahead and drank this stuff, or otherwise still has it. I would not be surprised if it actually had some ties to the horror plane/plane horror and drinking this mysterious red liquid is part of how you end up on/in Duskmourn (like, it has the urban legend feel to it, and the power, or other desired thing, at an extreme and unpredictable price implemented by an almost cosmic force is also a big horror thing that falls outside of the Innistrad remit). Like this is pure speculation, to be clear, but it also really fits the vibe imo.
SUPER DUPER BONUS POINT
Kaito confirmed for Duskmourn! I mean. Kaito was mentioned in Nashi's story, because Nashi still has very complex feelings about the "Kaito didn't save my mom" thing. So it's a point in favour! But also, like, I feel as if Nashi would be in that type of art if he was appearing, so...
[1] Point adapted from Supereyepatchwolf, who used the phrase "dissolution of our world's boundaries" from... uh, I'm not sure where, Googling gets stuff about demon summoning (like... results about it in those words, thanks 'AI'), and a video he referenced didn't seem to use it in the first several minutes but using "normalcy" as part of said boundaries. (ngl, I like "corrupted familiarity" better).

If an author does an R&R for an editor/publisher that results in an offer, would they expect not to receive huge edit notes after that as presumably the R&R addressed most of the concerns? Also, why do some publishers ask for these first and others offer first?
In my experience, an editor will ask for an R&R for three main reasons:
A: They have some specific vision for the book that may not be the author's intention at all, and they want to make sure the author is down for that. So they are basically saying, look, this is potentially different from what you were thinking, I totally get that you might not want to do this, if not, no sweat, but should you decide you are on board with this, I'd love to see it again.
B: AND/OR, the author is new, has no track record, and they want to make sure that they are actually good at revising before handing them a contract and bag of money. (Not to say that all debut authors will get an R&R -- not at all! Just, sometimes, particularly if it is an A type scenario; if the editor is talking to an author with a TON of experience who very clearly knows how to revise a book and has a great track record, they might take the author's word for it and be fine with just a conversation, but an unknown author, the proof would be in the pudding, yanno?)
C: AND/OR, they have already shared with their editorial team or at least talked about the work with some of their colleagues, they want to bring this to acquisitions, but they know based on these conversations and their own lived experience that in-house support for the title and their ability to acquire it will be greater if certain changes are made. In other words, they really want to give this THE BEST POSSIBLE CHANCE to get through acquisitions, and they want to do whatever tweaks/changes are going to help their case so that they can get this book.
(It could be all three, mind you -- or any combo!)
However, editors don't usually write a huge editorial letter for an R&R, it's more likely to be kinda 'big picture thoughts' or a focus on one or two particular things. (Writing a real editorial letter requires actual deep thought and a lot of time -- they aren't likely to be spending that kind of time on something for an author they don't know and aren't working with!) So just because they are asking for changes before they can offer doesn't necessarily mean they are HUGE changes. They might in fact not be that big a deal at all. And it also might not involve revising THE ENTIRE BOOK.
Here's an example of an "all three" scenario: Let's say they know that for whatever reason, their boss is more likely to say yes if {X} -- and in this made-up example, {X} = "this book has a 12 year old protag rather than a 14 year old."
A - they'd float that past you/your agent - are you even OK with this? If not really, well, OK, fair enough. If yes, great, well, B, you're new, would you be open to revising the first few chapters with this in mind? So that C, they can show that sample to their boss at acq. and say, see how wonderful this 12 year old protagonist is, shouldn't we buy this?
If that worked and they did indeed make an offer / buy the book, you'd still get a regular editorial letter. In this case, it would include whatever else would have gone into an editorial letter + whatever thoughts they might have bearing in mind that the protag will now be 12. (Because of course, that change would potentially have ramifications throughout the book!)
As for the second question: why do some publishers ask for these first and others offer first? -- If they know that whatever they will be asking for will not be a big deal, they are confident you are able and willing to revise, and what you've given them is already polished enough to show the boss, they don't need to ask for an R&R.

seasonal animes: Zom 100/Bucket List of the Dead
watched 5 of the current 6 episodes of Zom100 (I'm watching Zoombie's releases, which have Crunchyroll's translation with better typesetting).
tricky to know what I think...
Tumblr media
visually there's nothing to fault - it's got energy and style all over and every episode brings a new crazy impressive sequence, with great choreography to music and inventive staging. that's why I'm watching it, and it consistently delivers! kVin has already written about the strength of the team behind it in great detail. the consistent bright colours of the zombie blood, the use of yellow, the seamless transition between real and abstract - all kick ass.
narratively... it's certainly direct with its themes, but not at all in a bad way, and it's a meaty subject matter for which the whole irreverent take on zombie movies is a fitting metaphor. it won't say it in so many words, but it's clearly about philosophy, finding the 'good life'.
As You Know, the zombies in Romero's movies stood for Consumerism(TM). if the modern world has a deadening, dissociative affect to it, we pull that further, and we get literal walking dead. alongside that is a huge element of wish fulfilment in zombie/post apoc stories: the idea of a reduction to a simpler world, where all the complications of society are stripped back. sure, everyone may die, it's tragic, but the protagonists are given a stage to come into their own as a badass hero type full of Machiavellian virtù.
zom100 doesn't bother with the smokescreen of tragedy, and indeed it uses the contrast between the feelings of of the protag who's getting to live his best life against the backdrop of collapse as a source of comedy. but then it's about poking and prodding at that wish fulfilment, trying to define it more sharply.
our protagonist wasted years at a hyper-exploitative 'black company' but now he's freed, he has to face existential aimlessness; his friend found material and social success but no personal fulfilment and had to conquer his fear to pursue his real dream; the blatant tsundere love-interest girl is too narrowly focused on survival to enjoy her life - each one seems set up to explore some facet of the human condition. the ED shows a fourth member of the MC group, who will presumably explore some other angle of 'how do you live'. if you know how much I like NieR Automata, you can probably imagine that's a theme that's up my street.
so what's the "but"? well it's just so much hetero guy pov lmao. I just... do not connect to the MC, and the show is very heavily structured around providing a stage for him to work out his shit.
for example, it's maybe a little too obvious in introducing characters to demonstrate the theme of the episode, then feeding them to zombies as soon as their purpose is served. the fate of the flight attendants in episode 4 especially bugged me: for our main two boys, the flight attendants are an opportunity to prove their masculinity and sexual prowess (the MC's ability to 'score' is questioned, while it comes effortlessly to his friend). so these girls show up and they hang out; one of the girls has sex with the friend and then promptly dies. the other refuses sex to our protagonist but she talks about her ambitions providing some insight to him and then gets chomped - don't you see, she was reminded of her childhood memories, she had one good day, ah, mono no aware! meanwhile the cynical and slightly arrogant leader of the flight attendant group is the most fun of them all, but she's just zombiebait. the protagonist grieves for all of one minute but then cheers himself up.
and of course you expect characters to die frequently in a zombie story; and the whole point of the show is that the MC's cheerful affect is completely inappropriate for a zombie apocalypse. but the effect of storylines like this is to that it's so manifestly a world of effectively invincible protagonists, where everyone else is basically an NPC. our protagonist will embarrass himself and suffer pratfalls for a joke, but ultimately this is a world that exists to serve him, and he acts like on some level he knows it!
all the same, I'm curious where it will go once it finishes establishing the main cast group.
on a more niche note, it's interesting observing that 'hypercompetent hacker girl in a big coat' is becoming fixated as a love interest pattern. the big coats are cool, so fair enough.

Tin foil hats? I have whole board with pinned different information from your story and little posts from ask. I'm had tin foil hat and energy of MatPat trying to piece together fnaf timeline.
Anyway my theory about Notch past is that, he is a breed in captivity pokémon to be perfect just like Pokémons for Pokémon championships tournament. That means perfect nature, perfect EVs spread, perfect moveset. Like literally I saw few teams running this kind of Ceruledge move set with life orb and tera of fighting in tournaments.
On @skylertheminish ask you mentioned Notch having Docile Nature dispite showing Adamant nature strength witch to me suggests that a mint was used to change his nature witch makes sense since adamant is perfect nature for Ceruledge and even run in competitive specially with kind of moveet Notch has.
Also I remember at my question if Notch can detect other ghosts you answer that he specifically trained to detect other things around him.
Beside that would explain why he doesn't know what a berry is. If he was raised to be a perfect weapon ofcourse he would be feed a meal that are meant to increase his EVs and maybe with added proteins?
Also his behaviour when Protag try to touch him suggested to me he was severely abused. I believe they put him through immense training to be a perfect weapon, with perfect EVs and definitely they try to assert total control over him to make him listen to only then. That would explain the crack in his armour or maybe this is something he got while trying to escape his captors.
As to who put Notch through something like that? Well I think everything points to Pokémon hunters, not only they mentioned in only second chapter of story, but it kinda make sense. Specially with throat chop as a move Notch knows. It's a TM learn move to Ceruledge just like Close combat which means someone definitely teach this to Notch and throat chop also prevents target from using sound base moves(34 is present now in games), perfect thing to have if you hunt Pokémons.
As to my prediction to the future of the story. Well I believe that someone who put that much effort in raising Notch wouldn't just let him slide and would want him back. I just hope that Protag can protect they new friend, as Notch definitely chose them.(just like Froakie with Ash in XY ^^)
But that's just a theory, a Pokémon theory!
Thank you for reading my little rumbling nonsense. Now I will go back to my dark corner and sit with some ghost types with my tin foil hat.
A good theory indeed! And a very thought-out one! We'll have to see if any of it is confirmed in future chapters!

Well there appears to be no opportunities for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf news for the rest of summer, so I'm basically just waiting until Baldur's Gate 3 releases on the last day of August (which is, arguably, the last day on the last month of summer). Sooo I guess I'll fuck around with the concept of Jack the potential Dreadwolf protagonist and see what happens
"Jack" is:
Visually and spiritually inspired by fairy tales of untamed troublemakers who hide out in the wilderness. Robin Hood, Peter Pan, even Puck / Robin Goodfellow. He loves messing with anyone who thinks themselves above other people. He's also great at trickery and stealing.
Fucking nuts, but kind. I want Jack to be unrepentantly and irreversibly neurodivergent, with a devil-may-care attitude about public opinion of himself. Also, completely selfish and pigheaded in his want to help and protect his friends. Thinking of Cole in Inquisition, Bruno from Encanto, and Luffy from One Piece.
I want "his color" to be green. I think it's amusing that none of my protagonists' signature colors match the game's color theme. Origins was orange, and Lady Aeducan's color is gold; DA2 was red, but Flita Hawke's color was blue; and Inquisition was very green, while Noraak's favorite color is yellow. I have no idea if armor-tinting is going to be A Thing in Dreadwolf, and I am not concerned about it. He will probably have green eyes, at any rate, because he is a redhead and I am apparently creating a stereotype.
"Jack" is going to be (actually completely accidentally) the elfiest elf in Tevinter. He is a stick-thin anti-authoritarian rabblerouser with a bow and a preference towards forested or otherwise wild areas. Even if he wasn't an elf, his personality has "elf stereotype" all over it. This will make the inevitable battles against magisters and/or slavers very sweet indeed, but I am not currently sure what he'd think of the Dalish or ancient Elvhen, because at this point in time he is very much a city slicker. Again, this will depend on what origins the game itself will have, but that's who he is for now.
Have not settled on a hairstyle yet, for the obvious reason of not knowing what will be available. I'm hoping for longer hair, maybe in a ponytail, maybe not. Like I mentioned before, if there are body sliders, he will be as bony as it will allow. None of my other heroes have that body type.
I was originally going to name him after a bird, because I've always liked bird names. Hawke was going to have a double bird name before I found out that "Flita" was a real name from the middle ages. But if that character named "Rook" from those leaked screenshots is a real NPC and not the protag, then I'd like something else. "Jack" was always a nice name to me. It was very common to the point of being a stand-in for a stranger, but it's also... a bit fable-esque. There are a lot of Jacks in English folk history, ranging from old stories to nursery rhymes even to Victorian urban legends (Spring-Heeled Jack, Jack the Ripper). Jack, as a name, has a lot of personality and yet it will conform to the wearer perfectly.

My phone suggests "sun" "moon" and "protag" for just about anything I type now, and I'm like... well that's pretty accurate honestly, that is indeed the words I wanted
Wrote "absentmindedl" in my fic and I'm honestly just fascinated by my phone sooner thinking I mean "gerrymichael" over any other word

rosa | main character: a playlist with a character analysis rationale on why i chose each song
Tumblr media
because i saw a post that was like "spotify should have a feature that allows you to add a full essay explaining why that song is in the playlist" and im not waiting for spotify to integrate that in, imma do it myself, HAHA
obligatory disclaimer that these r just my own thoughts and interpretations. spoilers for up to main story 6.2 and other stories here and there
wc: 1.7k (2k if u add all the lyrics i quote lmao)
here is the link to the playlist. now let me walk u through my choices.
-
part 1: the pre-story arc of oh, im nothing special
Tumblr media
we dont get to see much of mc before the story's game officially Starts, but what we do get to see is through flashbacks in retrospect, and a lot of the time, mc does mention or express this sentiment of like
ah well. im not really anything special at all.
this sentiment comes in in a bunch of cards/stories with the boys (usually vyn or artem) when she sees their achievements and compares herself to them. but even sans the comparison, pre-story, i can see her under the assumption that shes completely run of the mill and nothing of note.
6/10 by dodie illustrates the "not very much" aspect of this
I feel like a six out of ten I've gotta get up early tomorrow again What goes on behind the words? Is there pity for the plain girl?
and Waiting in the Wings from Tangled Adventure is the reaction to this sentiment, in a sense. mc doesnt feel like shes much, but she does still believe in making a change, but god
when will her time come?
When you have the passion and the drive You expect your moment center stage to arrive I show up with heart a blazing Ready to achieve amazing things But I'm left waiting in the wings
this song in particular is fun, meta-narratively. it's the song of somebody wanting to the main character, and i think pre-story mc wishes for this moment, unaware that she indeed is the Main Character. like girl, sit tight, ur gonna be the protag.
pre-story mc doesnt think much of herself and is awaiting the moment she can have her chance. and when she does, thats when the story starts.
-
part 2: he butterflies and frustrations of falling in love
Tumblr media
this portion of the playlist is wholly mc just going "aaAAAAA FEELINGS IM HAVING FEELINGS (?)" and the experience is a Lot.
it's novel and sweet and exciting (The Show by Lenka). but it also can make her feel off kilter, unsure, and helpless (Helpless by Rico Blanco). it's a nice experience, but it's also frustrating because she's constantly second guessing her own feelings and the feelings of the other (I Go Crazy by Orla Gartland) aaaaaand eventually once mc finally finally realizes her feelings, i just see it as character for her to be have this....not really impatience, but a certain restlessness on how exactly to get the show on the road, get the relationship moving forward (Make A Move by Lawrence)
-
part 3: Enneagram Type 1. "I believe that we can fix this over time."
Tumblr media
swerve. from the cute delights and frustrations of love, i now wanna talk about what i interpret to be among mc's really important character beliefs: hope
and im also gonna assign her an enneagram type as well: Type 1
Type 1s are titled as The Reformer. this is somebody who is idealistic, believes in integrity, and desires the improvement of the world around them and their own self as well.
the song One by Sleeping At Last illustrates the gist of a Type 1 immensely well (while also making me cry)
Hold on for a minute 'Cause I believe that we can fix this over time That every imperfection is a lie Or at least an interruption Now hold on, let me finish No, I'm not saying perfect exists in this life But we'll only know for certain if we try
this is something apparent in the broad strokes choices of what mc does. in main story 5.3, the last trial, she thinks the line "Justice may not come as swiftly as we'd like, but evil shall never go unpunished. This is why I became an attorney. My conviction will not waver."
mc knows the world is flawed, she knows people do bad things and other people get hurt. perfection is not possible, but she is going to roll up her sleeves and work on it anyway.
this is what matters to her: trying to make things better
this isnt just in her career as a lawyer, it's also in her role as a character in the nxx boys' stories. for each and every one of them, being with her and experiencing events with her and building their relationship with her, all of that causes a shift in their beliefs/tendencies. on a narrative level, she is quite literally pushing the character development of the others
and on a "her as a person interacting with other people" level, she is a catalyst for change.
not just for them, but for her herself. as she pushes towards change, she grows and learns and the insecurity from pre-story slowly changes as well
another lyric in One is
The price of this so called perfection is everything I've spent my whole life searching desperately To find out that grace requires nothing of me
perfection isnt possible in real life and it isnt possible in herself as well. but thats alright. because who she is evidently enough to make things better and thats what she wants
however
this doesnt mean she is immune to doubt
-
part 4: what am i doing, who am i becoming, what can i do?
Tumblr media
this portion of the playlist is part of mc's journey SPECIFICALLY in the aftermath of main story 6.2
once artem and mc are in the hospital, artem goes on his nice speech about justice which is great and did help mc feel a bit better. however, there mc's thought process still betrayed a newfound doubt.
in my main story 6.2 reaction post, i mention this but i'll summarize it: this is the first case thus far in global that doesnt end with a court trial. it's the first case where honestly, justice arguably wasnt served. desperation, cruelty, and anguish led to ava and jerry dead. the cruelty that ava had perpetuated ran so damn deep into so many people, spread to countless lives, and was just so bad that the only way it couldve ended was the cruelty collapsing in on itself. it's over.
but not over in the way mc sees as right or just. thus, she is now doubting certain beliefs and convictions she has, like her belief in justice and good and if that can make a difference
the sheer magnitude of this case...well, since we're not getting main story 7 for a bunch more months (hyv pls feel free to prove me wrong here lol, i'd happily accept THIS schedule deviation), i can only speculate that this doubt is something thatll weigh on her mind.
and with doubt, comes questions
Where Am I Now? from Lysistrata Jones is a great song that illustrates the doubt after a failure. all that effort gone to nothing, the first questions are going to be along the lines of where do we go from here?
Maybe just some more time, just a little more fight, Like they say, no guts, no glory. All and all I did fine or maybe I'm like a hundred miles off course, Well, maybe that was too much, maybe not enough. Maybe I should just turn back now. Cuz' how do I go on When everything's so wrong. Where am I now? How am I here? Which way do I turn When it's all so unclear? I'm standing alone With nothing but fear.
Flesh & Bone by Sammy Rae is a song that continues the questions that sprout from doubt. moving on from questioning the situation, mc now begins questioning herself, how shes changed
But I need to know I don’t need to be shown I've gotta see it for myself I've gotta learn it on my own I need to know if I am flesh & bone And am I still growing or full grown?
Green & Gold by Lianne La Havas is similar to the previous song but, since im a hopeful bastard at heart, the tone starts changing. still questioning but the answer is going to lie in the fact that mc is not going at all of this alone. shes got the rest of the nxx with her, supporting her and each other. this is the way out from doubt: looking through other people's eyes
Six years old Staring at my nose in the mirror Trying to get my toes in the mirror Thinking 'Who's that girl?' And 'Does the mirror world go on forever?' Carve me a road Sharpening the knives in the attic Trying to watch cartoons through the static Thinking where am I gonna be If I'm ever twenty three? I'm looking at a life unfold Dreaming of the green and gold Just like the ancient stone Every sun rise I know Those eyes you gave to me That let me see Where I come from
Last Hope by Paramore is the acceptance that things are going to be rocky, it's not always going to be clear cut, but damn it, if she's gotta believe in something anyway
It's just a spark but it's enough to keep me going And when it's dark out and no one's around it keeps glowing
and City Lights by December Avenue represents the convergence of the questions and the conviction to keep on going anyway. the pre-chorus includes the lyrics:
Where am I going now? I need a light to shine on me
while the chorus answers it
City lights they're all with me They fill me with serenity They're coming one by one Until I separate my mind into the light And I've got my chance to look
-
part 5: what love really means, how love can really help
Tumblr media
if part 2 was about the surface level beginnings of love, this section is absolutely about the deeper benefits of love
Lost Stars from Begin Again is love still tinged with doubt, but an acceptance of that doubt. mc is never going to have a completely sure life, what with NXX stuff and also just the usual imperfections of how people work (gonna be true for all love interest routes, our boys are wonderfully flawed as hell, each w their own baggage and issues), but thats okay
because What You Mean To Me from Finding Neverland represents the uncertainty of love and how a leap of faith is what can get people through.
I won't lie I'm a little bit frightend Of my imagination Swear I'll try I'm feeling enlightened You're my inspiration We can fly if we want to I promise that faith will give you wings
and Look Up by Stars is a song that i put here not to represent a romantic love between mc and anybody
this song is a love towards herself
the chorus goes:
You're cold, maybe you just missed the sun You fall, feeling like its just begun So far, keeping it together's been enough Look up, rain is falling, looks like love
and the bridge goes:
(And still in toil, it takes heart to love the rose And still in toil, it takes heart to love the rose)
back when i was making the boys' playlists, i wanted to add this song in like. every single one of them JHAVKJHFAJKSFHA, cuz it fits all of them. they all have their moments of hopelessness or fear and they have to make the conscious choice to see better is out there, and a part of that better is our beloved rose-coded main character. back then, i took the bridge to be representing that it takes hard work (toil) and vulnerability (heart) to love her (rose)
but now i see it's a perfect song for mc herself. after all her doubts, every time shes fallen, every time it wasnt enough (toil), she gets back up. the heart she needs to love the rose, herself, is akin to her conviction in goodness. she has to believe in it (heart).
she has to believe in herself, the rose.
-
part 6: this story is going to be a good one, i will work to make make it a good one
Tumblr media
all of these songs now are on the same general theme of Making Things Better, the joy of a brighter day ahead, and hope. but the one i do wanna focus on is Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
aside from being an absolute banger and also being in line with this part's theme, it's also a song that fits mc meta-narratively
she is Literally the main character. as the catalyst for the story's beginning and the other characters' development, she is the driving force pushing the story forward. to loop this back to the beginning, mc had seen herself as nothing special or of note. yet there are many many things that does set her out as a good person, and one of which the keeps the story going is the fact that she does not give up.
so while she'll have her low points, she gets back on track cuz and Keeps Going because this is something she believes in. through this, the story continues and she's definitely got opinions on what kind of story she wants to be making. the rest is unwritten, and shes determined to make this a good story for the herself and the people she cares about

How do you get through reading awful books? I tried reading zenith and gave up on the 100th page I'm not gonna lie. I want to consume more books that aren't my specific taste, but if I see that it's awful I just tend to dnf them. Any tips? There is every once in a while where I hate a book so much that I will hate read it though. *looking at you acotar*
Well, my first tip is probably not to read books you don't want to read. I don't think that it's unhealthy or anything, but I do think that it's a waste of your time and effort. So it's not some sort of character flaw to be "bad" at it, nor is it something to strive to be good at. Reading outside of your comfort zone isn't the same as forcing yourself to read garbage you hate.
Personally, even though I seem to read a lot of shitty books, most of the worst ones I DNF. The reasons I don't talk about them here are because 1) I don't want to subject other people to them, 2) I don't want to give them more exposure, and 3) just don't think it's as interesting to write about a book if I haven't experienced the whole thing. My opinion and judgment of it simply doesn't feel as informed. I personally don't find DNF reviews as compelling as full reviews, and don't want to write too many of those myself.
But I have indeed pushed through shitty books even though I didn't have to, and I guess I can give some tips on that.
First I think you're already plenty capable of finishing shitty books as you gave ACOTAR as an example, so that's where my first tip comes in. Why did you finish ACOTAR but DNF Zenith? What about ACOTAR kept you interested? Isolate the reason(s) and see if you can compare them to books you DNF. For me, it's easier to finish bad books if they fascinate me somehow, if I find something about them that I can't look away from, like a car crash. Morbid curiosity is the reason I pick up books I suspect I'll hate, and usually it's either stubbornness or ironic amusement that keeps me going. The reason I managed to finish Zenith was because I was genuinely entertained and amused by it for most of the time, even though it was objectively bad literature. There was still some type of joy found in the experience, even if it wasn't the intended kind. Books that are bad and don't offer any sort of other entertainment value, that are just miserable and unpleasant and toxic, those I don't bother with at all and DNF without guilt. Our time on this earth is limited, so don't waste it on shit that's hurting your brain.
That brings me to my second tip: share your experience with others as you read. Doesn't have to be a public blog, can be a private group chat or even just talking to friends IRL. A lot of the time when I've wanted to give up on a book, I've gone and ranted about it to my friends or here on this blog, and often people's reactions and demands to know more was what encouraged me to keep reading. It gives you a sense of being sort of a messenger and an entertainer rather than a sad idiot torturing themself for no reason. You're no longer a sad clown honking his own nose, you're the court jester and everyone's cheering you on. Does that make sense? Share your pain, basically. You're like a horrible Moses stepping down from the mountain with the stone tablets, but instead of the Ten Commandments you bring them news of the protag falling for the shitty alpha male who treats her like dirt. Instead of reading a shitty book you're now eagerly looking for new wild shit to share with your pals, and that can really make the experience a lot more fun and rewarding.
I should also mention that if you're not a book reviewer, there's really no reason for you to force yourself to read things at all. It's an intentional choice I make because I'm okay with dedicating a certain amount of effort to this hobby. If you're just reading for fun or amusement, that's what you should focus on. Even when it comes to reading outside of your usual genres, I honestly don't think one should force themselves to read bad books. Just leave. Hit da bricks. If you can't find your own reward in the activity, there's no reason to keep doing it. So yeah! Hope that ... helped? Good luck! <3

A bit of an odd ask but I wanted to send this in anyway just to hear your opinion on it. Is it just me or is there just a surprising lack of adult magical adventures in tv, books anime etc. I love fiction but something I've noticed is that there's usually not much of a focus on college kids as the main characters. Their usually relegated to being side characters. Where are my adult age magical savior's? Where's the 21+ year olds that are trying to balance adult life and are both absolutely excited that their a hero now and can learn magic but are also kinda pissed off because "really MORE schooling when I haven't finished paying off my normal tuition yet".
I wanna see a character in a book outright beg for a quest because they really don't wanna do the homework for their least favorite college level class or have them jokingly question if they should do nothing about the apocalypse because then at least there's no student loans etc.
This is one of the reasons I loved Once upon a time and SYFY's The Magicians since adults were a focus.
But what are your thoughts on this? Do you think there's a lack of magical adult adventures content? If not do you have any recommendations for books or media? I feel like there could be a lack of content or it's just hard to find.
If kids can get away with flat out disappearing to different realms without getting in trouble because time functions differently so their only gone for a few minutes then why aren't their more stories like that for adults where they can escape their crappy jobs, go save a world or stop their dimension from collapsing and then come back and still have to finish their tasks for their job. Better yet having to multitask on a business/conference trip as you have both a magical quest/item hunt to do but you also have to maintain appearances for your job but you show up half on fire or with something still hunting you and you have to hope your coworkers don't care enough to ask questions.
One last thing I wanna note is that in most media they tend to make characters experience the college life without them actually being college age. Harry Potter etc all have the typical magic schools or magic castles but to be honest they always felt more like magic colleges to me especially with them having dorms etc which then feels odd since no one is actually college age. I suppose the vibe could be private schools? I get that these places being big helps with the wonderous aspect but after a certain bit it feels kinda odd. Though it could be argued that magic just takes so long to learn that the kids in those types of universes literally have to start out so young or that it takes so much intelligence that they have to basically be taking college level classes even though their like 12.
Anyway I know this is a bit of an odd ask since it isn't really tied into a fandom but I'm curious of your opinion.
I don't know. College-aged protags might be rare indeed but I don't feel qualified to say anything definitive because I've read mostly YA and haven't set out specifically to search for NA fantasy where the main characters would be college-aged. I have to say that I think that there is actually quite a bit of fantasy with adult characters but it's high fantasy instead of urban fantasy which would be along the lines of what you're describing - characters that have normal studies/day jobs but also go on fantasy adventures. NA urban fantasy might be lacking but, again, I wouldn't know since I haven't really looked into it. I, personally, don't care about adding everyday elements to fantasy. I prefer high fantasy where the characters just live in a fantasy world and don't have stupid "real life" responsibilities to deal with. That is the full escapist experience for me since I get to forget that university/jobs even exist. If I had to save the world, I sure as hell wouldn't have the energy to go to work on top of that and I don't think it's fair to anyone to force them to juggle two lives like that. Honestly, YA is kinda full of shit by implying teenagers should be capable and expected to literally carry the world on their shoulders while also taking care of their regular responsibilities.
I don't find the dorm thing weird at all. In the not so distant past it wasn't unusual of high schools (at least where I live) to have dorms for students that might come from other towns/villages. And I do think that that was the case internationally because I've read some of the books left from my parents' teen years and several of them feature not only high schools that have dorms (aka are the boarding school type) but also middle schools that have dorms as well and the students live there during the terms aka those are boarding schools again. Magical schools located on specific planets would have to be boarding schools if they're supposed to be attended by people from all over the universe.

WHOA !!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 ⭐👄⭐
Tumblr media
Your the first one to share your though on your reblog in one of my post 😍 I am honored !!!!
My post is ,indeed, a bit old. And since I am always thinking about that cursed boat, I can now add more details to better explain myself 😁.
Of course the most likely scenario for now is that Tse-rizz-the-bitch become the King and then marry Theta.
However... we are talking about TOGASHI's story. Did you actually saw how much plot twists and intrigues there were in chimera ant arc ⭐👄⭐?
In the chimera ant arc we had:
- 1 King
- a dead queen
- 3 royal bodyguards
- approx 100 to 200 other chimera ants with human brain
- ONE blind-disabled-snooty girl who activated a confused mess
- all the other protags were super far away from the palace (when the infiltration operation the pure chaos begin)
Here we have:
- 1 King (who never specifie if he can't marry any women anymore)
- 14 princes who need to kill each other (and each of one's death make the death of the next victim even more strategically difficult)
- 8 alive queens
- 14 x approx13= 182 royal bodyguards
- 200 000 humans on boat
- AND our protag Kurapika is already in the mess.
So yeah my theorie is entirely based on "expecting the unexpected" 🤣. There WOULD BE a moment of pure chaos where even gravity itself wouldn't be firm enough to apply its law. So even if it for 10 poor minutes before having another amazing turn of tables, it would be so interesting to see how and why Theta get married to the actual King.
Nasubi would marry Theta only for strategic purposes bc she smart and strong as fuck. I am also basing on the theorie that Nasubi actually want (and can) be the winner of this contest. Declaring officially that he makes Theta his 9th wives, would be a big reveal for all his children and wives that he is, indeed, not neutral at all. Like a "oh I forgot to mention, if I kill you all before we arrive, I stay the King by default of course 😋" type of reveal.
So everyone understands that the King himself NEEDS to be defeated before the landing and he is just... undefeatedly powerful... and have Theta by his side 😱.
But of course my girl will be a major key to woop his huge royal ass 😁👍
So what do you think of it ⭐👄⭐ ? Wanna have even more details (those scenarios are litteraly my babies)
RARE THEORY : WHY AND HOW THETA WILL BE THE 9TH QUEEN OF KAKIN
Yo I already talk about this in some comments. But I really wanted to make an official post of that theory here in my blog.
So there is this genius @itsmyara and @hunterexamcheatsheet who talk about the fact that each actual queen of Kakin's name are related to their position in the harem hierarchy :
Tumblr media
Then we have Theta, Theta means nine in ancient greek.
And with what we highlight above. We know that Togashi put way to much attention in the queen's name just for accidentally making such a "coincidence".
Furthermore, there is Oito's backstory. Oito WASN'T born to be a queen AT ALL. Her backstory shows to us reader that EVERY WOMEN of every social statues have a chance to be a queen if the king "fall in love" with them. And that includes my baby girl Theta.
Of course only 8 women success to make it, so it's nearly impossible. Plus, "the King falling in love again" is an even rarer possibility because of the context of the succession war. Indeed, why Nasubi would marry a woman when he seems to be ready to die in 2 months. Theta can't even have the time to birth a new prince at this point.
If he marries Theta she would not make any heirs to the throne, so she would be a pretty "useless" queen. That the second biggest reason why it seems impossible for Theta to be Nasubi's wife.
BUT !
Let's go back to the comparison of the meaning of Theta's name and the other queens. All the queen's name are related aproximatovely to numbers but they don't have any meaning by themselves expect from Oito = eight and Seiko which is a famous watch mark in japan.
On the other hand, the word Theta has an HUGE array of meanings. Many recognize the mathematical symbole for naming angles.
But it is above all a letter in its own that has been derived and incorporated into the alphabet of many dead languages :
The Ionic, Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, Etruscan, Gallic, Cyrillic, Slavic, Coptic and Armenian alphabet for examples.
This letter will then take as many different forms depending on the civilizations that use it.
Tumblr media
In the end, Theta’s name in comparison to others can be interpreted as adaptability, communication or even impartiality. So even throught Theta doesn't make any child she would be an excellent key of power stabilisation if she is used correctly.
The story already shows us very well how Theta can adapt to a large panel of complex situation. She is also an essential source of information and meticulous analysis.
Nasubi will probably feel for those qualities. Plus, to survive this far, Theta WILL NEED to deploy every weapons she had in order to survive. I am sure that she will indirectly stole some other royal hearts in her tricky way to the mysterious mission success 😁
Tumblr media
.
.
.
WHOA EXPLANING A THEORY IS EXAUSTING AS FUCK 😫.
But it was also sooooo fun !😊 Anyways, I hope I was clear and if I was not or if you want to hyperfixate over Theta with me TALK TO ME, IT WOULD BE AN HONOR FOR ME TO HAVE DEEP THETA CONVERSATION WITH YOU *Trembles uncontrollably and violently*

So ... my book features 16 year old MCs and zero profanity, or sex, or any whacky stuff. I have pitched it as a YA book but it got me wondering ... why can't this book be an adult book? I mean, what is the real measure with this? Surely you get adult books with young characters, and which are "tame"? You can probably guess I'm reconsidering pitching it as an adult book. I just find the YA world tough, crowded, hard to sell, and very mobby online.
Often there is a fine line between adult and YA books - they can each feature great writing, compelling characters, etc. But a lot of times, yes, the line is blurry, and it is really about who is publishing the book and how they market it, or it's a "you know it when you see it" type deal.
Very generally speaking: YA books tend to be coming of age stories, voicey, kids experiencing "firsts" in a visceral way, with extremely "immediate" POVs, squarely centered on the teen protags with little of interest happening to, with, or near the adults, if indeed there even are any adults.
On the other hand, adult books with young protagonists tend to still have adult narrators or an adult voice, and possibly some adult POV characters - so there is a certain distance and the book is more able to comment on the things going on in a "wise" kind of way.
This is why the book PREP, by Curtis Sittenfeld, despite taking place entirely in a prep school and with a plot that sounds like many YA novels, is in fact an adult book - because the narrator is an adult telling a story about teen years through the lens of experience and perspective that a teen going through it in the moment simply would not have.
As to which camp YOUR book falls into, of course, I have no idea. Maybe it could go either way.

grow/keep/shrink kaede akamatsu?
I’d first like to appreciate the sheer speed with which this appeared in my inbox after posting the last one. Absolutely keep ‘em coming if you feel like because these are very fun to ramble about.
Alright, so. When it comes to video game characters and this sort of thing, you have more to consider than just what narratively happens. You have gameplay mechanics to consider, as well. I could write a whole essay on all the instances I’ve enjoyed where gameplay mechanics facilitated characterization by nudging you to behave as the player character would instead of vice-versa, but in this particular case, let’s assume all gameplay mechanics are indeed in place. That when Hajime closes his eyes and thinks hard, he imagines himself snowboarding to the answer. That Makoto is somehow carrying dozens of presents to give to his friends and Yasuhiro at any time. The underwear thing. Let’s say this is all legit happening in this setting because it’s just that bizarre.
In that case, Kaede Akamatsu is a sweet, gentle soul who genuinely wants the best for everyone and is outright the all-loving hero protagonist type.
Who destroys absolutely everything in her path.
(To clarify for people who haven’t played DRV3; it adds a feature where you can knock away non-evidence decoration to find hidden items. This wasn’t in prior games. So Kaede can just walk into a room and, due to how players are, likely *will* immediately throw all the furniture around.)
Before she’s even big, if we elect to take that goofy gameplay mechanic seriously, we are already into “Gamera! Friend to all children!” sort of territory where just having her around is immensely destructive but also she would never even consider hurting anybody she wasn’t absolutely 100% convinced was going to hurt a lot more people.
I feel like that is an inherently strong argument for Grow, because whether you like “I am completely safe around this person” or “stuff gets wrecked”, that *will* be the case. You could trust her with your life but could not trust her to navigate a hallway or street. It would honestly be difficult to be mad around somebody so dedicated to being protective and earnestly helpful.
(Also, protags get a bias towards Grow in my book to begin with thanks to hero insurance and nearly every setting being fun to picture playing with in that capacity. The story already revolves around ‘em; just being more excessive with that doesn’t hurt.)
My main concern for making her big is that she absolutely adores her craft and options for gigantic pianos are limited. But if anyone of the V3 cast (or most casts) is going to be very cautiously (or carelessly) looming over the setting, I think the energetic, take-charge, self-professed ‘piano freak’ is pretty much the best pick for things going well at all. (Or comedically, also.) I feel like she’d be the type to casually pick up classmates and forget that it’s absolutely terrifying to be suddenly lifted off the ground by two fingers the size of your entire everything, but when she quickly apologizes for it, you know she’s sincere.
In short, you absolutely could trust her not to hurt you on purpose but there’s going to be a whole lot of chaotic mishaps, and the initial panic and worry about being big would pretty quickly subside as she gets used to yet another weird situation, and I think that’s kind of all the right flags for Grow.
(Adjacently, picturing Shuichi’s voice nervously cracking as he’s yanked up off the ground and carried along like a doll is frickin’ adorable.)

THE POSITIVE & NEGATIVE; Mun & Muse - Meme.
fill out & repost ♥ This meme definitely favors canons more, but I hope OC’s still can make it somehow work with their own lore, and lil’ fandom of friends & mutuals. Multi-Muses pick the muse you are the most invested in atm.

Tumblr media
MY MUSE IS:   canon / oc / au / slightly canon-divergent / fandomless / complicated.
IS YOUR CHARACTER POPULAR IN THE FANDOM?   YES / NO. [ She is mayhap one of the most famous characters in the entire franchise as well as one of the oldest and who has suffered the most because of the fandom’s misconceptions. ]
IS YOUR CHARACTER CONSIDERED HOT™ IN THE FANDOM?   YES / NO / IDK. [ Once more, yes, she’s definitely seen as one of the hottest characters in the game. I suppose that this has both good sides and bad sides? Especially when you encounter people who refuse to see past her physique. ]
IS YOUR CHARACTER CONSIDERED STRONG IN THE FANDOM?   YES / NO / IDK. [ Ahri might not be the strongest character in the fandom but she’s certainly not weak either. What she cannot accomplish with mere physical strength alone, she can accomplish thanks to her charming abilities so she’s definitely a strong and dangerous opponent to face. ]
ARE THEY UNDERRATED?   YES / NO / IDK. [ Yes and no at the same time? People love and hate her in equal measure but, after writing as her for so many years, I have also come to realize that few are the ones who actually pay attention to her lore and to her depth as a character. I’d say that her fame has made people blind towards who she really is and this is very sad. ]
WERE THEY RELEVANT FOR THE MAIN STORY?   YES / NO, she’s more on the neutral side.
WERE THEY RELEVANT FOR THE MAIN CHARACTER?    YES / NO / THEY’RE THE PROTAG. [ LOL doesn’t really have a main character or someone who’s inherently more important than others: everyone is the main character of their own specific story. This is why she is relevant to those who encounter her and those who have come to become part of her tale ; for the rest of the world, however, she’s nothing more than a vulpine vastaya with a pretty face. ]
ARE THEY WIDELY KNOWN IN THEIR WORLD?   YES / NO. [ Ahri is well known in Ionia due to her past as a vicious man-eater. However, such tales and legends belong to ages long passed and no one would be capable of discerning her true identity by simply looking at her ; this is why even fellow vastayas and ionians are usually unaware of her relation to the beast that devoured entire villages. As far as the whole world is concerned, no, she’s definitely not known by the majority. ]
HOW’S THEIR REPUTATION?   GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL. [ I’d say that her reputation is definitely bad. As previously mentioned, she carved her name in the legends of Ionia with her undying hunger and through the unfair massacre of many innocent souls ; although such legends do not carry her name, you can still find visual depictions of the vixen who spread chaos and havoc through the holy lands. In the present days, she is still considered as someone who should not be trusted: rumors about what she is capable of have spread and only fools are willing to consciously approach someone who might easily dine on their souls and hearts. ]
HOW STRICTLY DO YOU FOLLOW CANON?   —   I began writing as Ahri many years ago, which means that her lore has been twisted and modified quite some times from the very beginning. Although I do follow her present canon and I do adore every little detail that has been shared in pursuance of giving her more depth, I cannot really leave behind everything that I have developed in the past years. An easy example is the fact that my Ahri is still loosely based on the Korean myth of the “Gumiho”, which is a detail that plays an extremely important part in my portrayal: Ahri is, in fact, more beast than woman, is someone whose morals will always linger in the darkest shades of gray, is someone who adores violence and who has yet to properly harbor any type of guilt for everything that she has done thus far ; another detail is the fact that she devours souls as much as she can indulge in the flavor of hearts and livers as well. So, I would say that my Ahri is canon but with her own little twists?
SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.   —   Ahri is an incredibly complex creature, someone whose very existence is quite paradoxical for she represents both death and the maiden at the same exact time. She can be cruel and heartless as much as she can be gentle and dulcet, she is always greedy for knowledge and there is nothing that she adores as much as listening to someone’s stories or learning new facts about a world that is still oh so foreign to her. She’s beautiful, elegant, has the fluffiest tails you will ever see and she’s definitely the best cuddle buddy! Despite her murderous nature, there is something oddly soothing about her company that will naturally lure you closer.
Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).   —  Ahri is not a good person, not even a good animal. She’s incredibly instinctive and easily becomes victim to her own whims and desires and feelings: if she decides that she wants something, she will not stop in front of anything in pursuance of quenching her thirst. Because of this, she’s a huge liar, she’s manipulative and sly and dishonest, she knows the weaknesses of those around her and does not hesitate to exploit them in pursuance of elevating herself to a higher plane. She’s not easy to deal with because she will rarely say the truth and will rarely allow others to come close to her ; it doesn’t matter who the other person is, her first instinct will always be that of hunting them.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?   —   I was asked to write as this muse many years ago by a friend of mine. I didn’t even like her at first... I thought that she was nothing more than some easy fanservice for the game but I am so glad that I changed my mind because she has ultimately become my favorite muse and someone I always come back to, no matter how many years have passed.
WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING?   —   Poetry is perhaps my strongest inspiration when it comes to Ahri! Poetry and visuals of idyllic landscapes, of flowers in bloom, of porcelain marred by blood. Music might sometimes help too (for example I do tend to listen to the OST of “Memoirs of a Geisha” whilst writing replies) but I’d say that poetry is indeed my strongest inspiration, it’s the one thing that makes me think of other aspects of her and that continues to fuel my motivation to be here.
Some more personal questions for the mun.
Give your mutuals some insight about the way you are in some matters, which could lead them to get more comfortable with you or perhaps not.
DO YOU THINK YOU GIVE YOUR CHARACTER JUSTICE?   YES / NO / I SINCERELY HOPE I DO? [ I’m extremely hesitant and nervous about my portrayal, so... I do hope that the people I write with might eventually begin to enjoy my portrayal of Ahri. ]
DO YOU FREQUENTLY WRITE HEADCANONS?   YES / NO / SORT OF? [ I think of headcanons very often but I must say that I haven’t posted too much on this blog lately. Some of them got stolen, others got ignored and... That lowkey killed my motivation to openly post the ideas I have about my muse. This is however something that I plan on changing soon! ]
DO YOU SOMETIMES WRITE DRABBLES?   YES / NO [ It depends on my inspiration or on the prompt I am given. ]
DO YOU THINK A LOT ABOUT YOUR MUSE DURING THE DAY?   YES / NO
ARE YOU CONFIDENT IN YOUR PORTRAYAL?   YES / NO / SORT OF? [ Not really... I love my Ahri, I love the headcanons that I have developed for her and I adore the interactions that she has had during this time, but... I’m always scared of people’s bad judgement, of being seen as uninteresting or as not talented enough to portray such a complex character. ]
ARE YOU CONFIDENT IN YOUR WRITING?   YES / NO / A LITTLE BIT. [ I believe that I can still improve, especially considering that my writing style is constantly changing. But I am not too sad about it! ]
ARE YOU A SENSITIVE PERSON?   YES / NO. / SORTA.
DO YOU ACCEPT CRITICISM WELL ABOUT YOUR PORTRAYAL?   —   As long as the criticism comes with the intent of helping me to improve my portrayal, then yes, I do accept it well because it would allow me to look at things from a different point of view and thus help me to realize in which fields I am currently lacking. Due to the fact that the LOL characters can be quite ‘loose’ when it comes to their canons (especially in the case of those who weren’t given much material to work with in the first place), I do believe that everyone can take quite a large amount of creative freedom when portraying them ; however, I do realize that some of my headcanons might sound weird to someone else and I have absolutely nothing against explaining my side of things, the reasons that have motivated me to make Ahri behave in a certain way instead of another. Criticism is always good, as long as it’s not accompanied by free hatred.
DO YOU LIKE QUESTIONS, WHICH HELP YOU TO EXPLORE YOUR CHARACTER?   —  Absolutely yes! I love it when people come and ask for more information about Ahri or when I receive really curious anons about the most mundane aspects of her life.
IF SOMEONE DISAGREES TO A HEADCANON OF YOURS, DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY?   —  Why not? I might not drop the headcanon since I’m still certain that I am the person who knows my muse the most but I’m not against discussing things with another person, especially if our points of view are really that different.
IF SOMEONE DISAGREES WITH YOUR PORTRAYAL, HOW WOULD YOU TAKE IT?   —  I admit that I’d be sad over it since I’m well aware of how much passion and effort I am constantly pouring in my portrayal. However, that wouldn’t be the end of the world! There are so many beautiful Ahris out there who have taken a different path from me and thus developed their muses in a different manner, so I’d just suggest to the person to try and interact with them instead.
IF SOMEONE REALLY HATES YOUR CHARACTER, HOW DO YOU TAKE IT?   —  Ah, you would be surprised to know how many people hate Ahri in the fandom! What saddens me is the fact that such hatred usually stems from really useless and dumb reasons, such as her being more famous than another champion or her receiving more skins than their fave... Even in the roleplay community, I sometimes encountered people who hated her simply because she was “too famous” and that really annoyed me because it’s groundless bashing with no roots to support it. However, I can understand why someone might dislike a character who’s so manipulative and dishonest! Obviously, I wish that people saw more than just this one side of her, but... We can’t have everything in life, sadly.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH PEOPLE POINTING OUT YOUR GRAMMATICAL ERRORS?   —   Of course, as long as the person is not rude about it! I am Italian so English is my second language and grammatical errors can and will indeed happen.
DO YOU THINK YOU ARE EASY GOING AS A MUN?   —  I think I am easy going although I am incredibly shy and this... This is a huge problem when it comes to interacting with others since it might take me a while to respond to messages and open up to someone else. This is a side of myself that I truly wish to change and I’m working really hard on abandoning my comfort zone, but... It takes time, a lot of time. However! Despite my shyness, I can assure you that I’m the softest person you will ever meet and that if you manage to make me feel comfy around you, I will not stop speaking about Ahri and about music and about videogames and anything else that we might have in common! Once I do grow close to someone, I love to talk and meme and share things and... I think I also become slightly clingy? But I always mean good, I swear... I’m just a shy bun who wants to have fun and love you :(
