the closer we get to arcanes finale the more worried i am bc so often .. if not always .. things i like end in a way that i dislike so much it ruins everything else for me

and im so worried they pull a 'this is a multiverse' thing bc then they can say every skin is somehow canon bc its all different universes you seeeeee and jayce went mad bc he lived through all of them or something, or force it to end in a way that makes the champions end up like they are in game- Vi is a shitty cop, Jinx is just heehoo craycray bc xyz etc

Jinx and Orianna designs for a Sinco au where everything basically plays out the same except silco and singed have been together for 13 years as of season 1 act 3

Jinx is raised by both of them. She assisted Singed until she was 16 when she got her own lab and started working mainly for Silco. Singed is a man of medicine, so he actually gave Jinx antipsychotics regularly, and she recovered and stopped taking them 3 (more research pending?) years before act 2

The events of the show are mostly the same — Jinx has a psychotic relapse after she finds out her sister isn’t dead and does the shit she does, except Singed, when he got his hands on exploded Jinx, doesn't just let her walk out of there, and so no dinner party :DDD everyone lives. Silco and Jinx fire the rocket together after a heart to heart about Jaycies deal and the war between Piltover and Zaun starts. Mel, Ekko and Jayce still disappear, since those circumstances are not connected. Jinx is on the frontlines, Vi joins the firelights. Caitlyn and Ambessa are trying to navigate martial law

Singed still makes Warwick (feels immense guilt for it in relation to Silco, but its ultimately for his daughter) and he is used in the frontlines (kind of what ambessa wanted to do lmao). Silco finds out he is Vander eventually, and Singed has to show him the Orianna room! He visits herald Viktor (because he might be the key to reviving ori) but then Viktor gets killed by saviour Jaycie and Singed brings Warwick to save him. Then he takes some of Viktor’s newly formed cocoon fluid and injects it into Oriannas tube (like in og arcane in that one scene). Orianna is resurrected and Jinx must learn to live with a new little sister. Meanwhile war is still going on.

I have not thought of the evil mage Viktor situation for this AU yet since that is a big part of arcane season 2 but after the war is won and idk how long it takes silco and singed get married!!1!1!

Orianna in this au is also raised by silco and singed. She’s attending private ballet classes and learning mechanics (after the war lmao)

Baby Taylor's baby voice is so endearing and it's going to be bittersweet to "lose" that on the TVs, but I'm really excited to hear how they clean up (or not) the production on Debut. I mean I know they're going to make it as accurate as possible to the originals, but I mean in the actual sound mixing and stuff. Because I feel like this album could benefit the most from some of that! Which is not to say that the original is bad BECAUSE IT'S NOT, but I think there is subtle stuff they can do with the mixing/blending/instrumentals/treble/etc. to make it shine even more.

Better Bones: CW List

Better Bones is not a project that aims to fix canon by making the Clans wholesome and unproblematic. Though there can be fun and kindness in it and my philosophy is an optimistic one, It's not an escapist fantasy. It is a story about semi-realistic cats of human intelligence in a violent, war-obsessed theocratic dictatorship, and how they attempt to change it over the years.

Clan Culture is flawed, that is on purpose. Addressing and changing this is what the story is about.

Please refer back to my main post, where it is explicitly stated that my goal is to "Address (Canon's) Problematic Elements." Not remove.

Better Bones contains themes and/or depictions of the following;

Physical and emotional abuse; Domestic, authoritative, and familial

Child abuse and inter-generational trauma

Kidnapping and indoctrination of children

Somewhat graphic medical discussion, such as abortion, wound infection, and the use of leeches and maggots

The killing and processing of small animals into food, including tanning and butchery

Semi-realistic cat behaviors, specifically marking things with urine

Ableism; both externalized and internalized. Sometimes this leads to death by violence or medical neglect, other times characters simply grapple with mistreatment.

Xenophobia; to a violent degree, including stochastic terrorism, hate crime, and discrimination

^^^ read that one again. Consider that on this list twice.

Politics; Authoritarianism, fascism, and liberalism as an enemy, discussion of dog whistles and ideology

"Redemption arcs" of certain people who did bad things

Cosmic horror and supernatural curses

Graphic violence, including against innocent bystanders, through assault, poisoning, drowning, falling, being eaten alive by large fish and demigods, and occasionally attacking bulldozers

Animal abuse; Human beings harming cats on purpose and Clan cats generally being terrified of people

Clan cats, both villainous and culturally mislead, glorifying these things in-universe, not immediately staring at the camera and breaking character to tell you "This Is A Bad Thing!"

Keep in mind that you will encounter these topics while browsing this project. I would at minimum rate this project as PG-13, but PG-16 would be a more accurate bet.

I have sympathy for you if these are not topics you can handle. My project tackles very upsetting real-world issues and not everyone is looking for something challenging; that's understandable and there's no fault in that. I try to tag appropriately, and would never drop anything VERY gruesome without a warning, but I can't promise to catch everything. Please keep yourself safe.

There are other, softer projects out there run by cool people if this is not for you, and you can add #Better Bones AU to your tag filters and this project will not show up! But, I'm not responsible for your comfort with my art.

If you followed me under the assumption that BB is "Warriors without any ableism/xenophobia/violence" you were mistaken. What if the "weird" district names in the Hunger Games only sound like actual things because the Capitol mispronounces them? So "Mizzen" is a part of a ship, sure, but the name Mizzen is actually pronounced in a different way than the word mizzen. Maybe the i is more of an ai or ie sound and the e is more of an a sound. Coral could have emphasis on "ral" with a longer sounding a or the Cor sounds more like cure and stuff like that. Bobbin and Wovey could have emphasis at the end of their names with a vaguely French tilt to the pronunctiation, whereas Velvereen could be pronounced more like Velvyrean? Facet could be ay instead of a maybe? And the one that started this all: Treech, pronounced with a rolling r and an ey sound. There are so many possibilities and I'm having so much fun.

I think some pjsk fans are a little too comfortable making fun of how the characters pronounce english words. Saw a video titled “wxs speaking ‘engrishu’” & it’s like hey man. that feels a little unnecessary. You can just say English.

ok yes haha funny that vbs started to rap battle against Taiga in lutf but listen. why do you think they did. why do you think they saw this man who just dropped the biggest bombshell imaginable on his niece and challenged them all to a singing battle and she wasn't able to do it herself so they started to sing for her. why do you think it was Toya specifically that started first. a lot of people were watching them. there was more pressure than just that current moment on them. in a story like vivid bad squad's - where singing is typically how emotion and power is shown - why do you think their show of support for An was in standing up to Taiga first, so she could get up too.

so i just spent like 4 hours writing the text to and recording a murderbot-themed song to the melody of jingle bell rock, because i've been forced to listen to jingle bell rock on repeat at work and my brain helpfully suggested that "jingle bell" and "murderbot" have the same amount syllables on like repeat number 3 and ever since my brain's just been going "murderbot, murderbot, murderbot rock"

(the lyrics are like /so/ bad for the amount of time i spent on this, it reads like a 15-min project, also i /can't/ sing, i was literally told to "stop intentionally singing this badly" in music class in school at one point, and it's recorded on my phone mic, on a phone that cost under $150 new)

but man i am so happy/excited about this and im legit thinking about like if i can learn how to 1. make videos with karaoke text in them, 2. fucking ANIMATE a short video with like simple chibi-like drawings (i can't draw either), (and also maybe 3. get some vocaloid-like voice program to sing this instead of me) in the next 48-ish hours to make a murderbot-themed video for christmas
