Got inspired to write a Hunt&Relona songfic with the song 'Ruler of my Heart' by VIVINOS, BL8M and Rubyeye again last night. I don't have anything down yet because I was just about to head to bed. But I wrote down how I wanted to go about it in terms of setting and I have an idea about how I want it to end.
Now the thing that now bothers me about the lyrics is that the ones that appear on the original YouTube video in the subtitles /closed captions setting is widely known and commonly used, practically seen as the official lyrics. But as I've found out just now, one of the lyrics were translated wrong in the captions.
This is the word for 'beautiful' in the Korean lyrics: 아름다워 and these characters translate to 'poor' or 'pitiful': 가련한.
I've looked multiple times, plugged the characters into translators and search engines, looked at other words to see if they had the same characters, and I've been getting the same thing. So with this the lyrics translated into English would not be 'My savior, beautiful soul' instead it would be, 'My savior, poor soul' which makes sense because in the video the singers are singing against each other, the loser dies and the winner moves onto the next round/wins the season.
