DECEMBER 1ST
The first show of the tour starts tonight, and I was already exhausted just from the bus ride alone. We left at the ass crack of dawn yesterday, which was the day after Thanksgiving, and I was barely able to sleep from not only the motion of the bus, but how late the guys stayed up doing God only knows what. They were loud as all Hell, and I was beginning to think I made a mistake joining them for a couple days.
On top of all that, I was constantly checking my phone for updates from Juliana, as if the place would burn down suddenly overnight. This was the first time leaving the bakery in the hands of someone else, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it. I had to keep reminding myself that Jules had been there since the first day I opened the shop; she knew the ins and outs of the place, so deep down I knew that she would be fine.
But I still had that nagging feeling that something would go wrong.
We arrived in Dallas a little after 8 in the morning, and Noah had to practically drag me out of the bus to grab breakfast with him and the guys. As much as I loved breakfast, I still found myself slumped against his shoulder while we sat and waited for our food to be served, fighting to keep my eyes open.
I flinched and jerked my head back when something hit me in the forehead, my eyes now wide open. "What's up with you, Liv?" I hear Folio ask, noting the straw wrapper that was now sitting in my lap. I huffed in aggravation, glaring at him before flipping him off. He had a plastic straw dangling from the smirk growing on his lips, which made me roll my eyes. "Fuck off, you know damn well y'all kept me up with your shenanigans last night." He snickered, "Welcome to the tour life." I inhaled deeply and sat up straight, my lips puckered in anger, "I swear to God, Nick—" "Folio," Noah scolds him, enticing a quick 'sorry' from him.
"I'm not in the mood for this," I grumbled, starting to scoot out of the booth to distance myself, only to be stopped by Noah placing his hand on my thigh. "Easy," he says quietly, sliding his hand to my inner thigh and giving me a squeeze. "C'mere." I huffed and returned to my original position with my head on his shoulder. "I know you're tired, and I'm sorry we kept you up, love. I'll get a hotel room after breakfast so you can get some rest before the show, how's that sound?" he asks me in a hushed tone. "No, you don't need to spend the money. I'll just burrow myself into the bunk," I mumbled, closing my eyes again. "You sure?" he questions, his hand inching further up my thigh. "We can be alone after the show, no one to bother us," he counters, his voice low and gravelly, sending a chill down my spine.
My body begins to respond to his touch, heat simmering low in my stomach when his fingers brush against the center inseam of my jeans. I snatched his wrist to keep him from continuing any further, and he chuckles, clearly amused by my reaction. The nerve of him to do this right in front of the guys, at a family diner of all places, and while knowing that I'll be thinking about it all fucking day. "Fine," I agreed, just as our food made it out to the table. He presses a kiss to my head and releases his hold on my leg, leisurely dragging his fingers across my thigh before bringing his hands to the table to dig into his food.
This was going to be a long week.
-
Noah kept true to his words after breakfast and did book a hotel room not too far from the venue, even though I still felt it was unnecessary. By that point I was too tired to even argue about it; all I wanted was sleep, especially before the show. I can't remember the last time I've been to a concert, and I just knew I'd be wiped out afterwards.
Much to my surprise, I did feel refreshed when I woke up from my nap. I skipped the shower knowing I'd just be a sweaty mess later in the night and took the time to do my makeup since I never really wear anything other than mascara. I did a quick smokey-eye and paired it with a deep red lip color.
I was a little hesitant pulling out the outfit I had planned for the evening, though. I was stepping completely out of my comfort zone with what I chose, but something was compelling me to give Noah that 'wow’ factor—something new and possibly exciting. It wasn't anything scandalous, but it was different from my normal jeans-and-a-T-shirt everyday attire.
I stepped into a pair of fishnets, followed by a black high-rise skirt that stopped about mid-thigh. When I dug out the shirt and held it in front of me, I cringed from the pang of guilt I had from cutting the collar into a V since it was one of Noah's band tees, but with a shrug I threw it on—I’m sure he’d forgive me. I tied it just above the skirt, exposing a sliver of my midsection, then slipped on a pair of Vans and checked myself out in the mirror. I almost didn’t recognize my own reflection, but the outfit did look good. I chuckled to myself, just imagining his reaction, and made my way towards the venue.
I texted him to let him know I was on my way over, to which he responded by telling me to meet him at the bus. I wish I had a camera for the look on his face when he saw me; he did a double take, not registering that it was me standing by the bus at first. We locked eyes as he closed the distance between us, and I could see them glimmering with desire as he curled his fingers in the belt loops on my skirt, tugging me towards him.
"What on earth are you wearing?" he asks with a devious smirk playing on his lips, his voice low. I let out a quick breath when our bodies collided. "Clothes," I replied sarcastically, snaking my hands around his neck and locking my fingers together. "Smartass," he chuckles. "Is that my shirt?" I glanced down at the shirt briefly, noting how much cleavage I was actually revealing before bringing my gaze back up to him. "Mine now," I claimed with a wink.
His brows rise in bewilderment, only for his face to fall into an impish grin, his eyes darkening as he leers at me. One hand releases its grasp on my belt loop, reaching up to take hold of my chin—light enough to where I knew he was still being playful, but firm enough where I knew he was taking charge. He tilts my head further towards him as he looms over me, fire raging in his eyes. "Is that so?" My mouth goes dry by the way he looks at me, paired with the feeling of his erection growing against my stomach. The heat from earlier this morning returns and pools low within me, simply from the fact of how turned on he was.
I knew I had to stop before we took things too far and got charged with public indecency.
And yet, I couldn't stop myself from continuing. I laced my fingers into his hair and gave him a little tug, letting out a throaty laugh, "What are you gonna do about it?" He groans quietly and starts to walk me backwards until I feel the chill of steel flush against my back. "Oh, I'll show you what I'm gonna do about it," he mutters, his breath dancing across my face. I ran my tongue over my bottom lip and pulled it into my mouth, biting down as his fingers tightened slightly on my jaw, eagerly waiting for him to make his move.
He ruts his hips into me, and I couldn’t help the sharp breath that I took, his actions taking me by surprise. He keeps his lips a mere centimeter away from mine that were still parted from my gasp—his breath was warm as it crawled into my mouth with each exhale, tempting me. All I wanted was to taste him, even just a little bit, and he knew it. He knew how much this drove me nuts, not being able to get what I wanted, unable to move my face towards him from the hold he had on my jaw.
I can see the amusement in his eyes, twinkling mischievously as he lets out a short hum, “Later." He then chuckles sardonically and gives me a chaste kiss before letting go of my face and backing away. “Gotta head back to the green room for a bit.” “You fucker,” I scoffed, pushing myself off the side of the bus. He shoots me a lopsided grin, extending his hand for me to take. “It’s what you get for ruining my shirt.”
I wanted to retort with a sly comment about him causing me to ruin my panties but thought better of it. Instead, I sighed and combed a hand through the front of my hair before taking his hand in mine. “Yeah, yeah. I guess that’s fair,” I mumbled as he guided me through the back entrance of the venue.
He weaved us through the halls, eventually bringing us in to what I assumed was the green room. I took a gander around the area, noting that there was a mirror that ran against the whole length of the far wall, a countertop settled in front of it with miscellaneous items scattered about. There were two leather couches on either side of the room, pressed up against the chestnut-colored walls where Jolly sat with his feet up on the coffee table, beer in one hand and his phone in the other. Folio sat beside him, drumming against the practice pad in his lap. Nick Ruffilo and Bryan were off to the side, next to a table that held various snacks and beverages, deep in conversation about God only knows what.
“So, this is the green room. Make yourself comfortable, we've got a little while til we go on," Noah says once he shuts the door, urging me forward with a hand at the small of my back. “This is the green room?” I questioned, looking up at him with a straight face. “It’s not even green.” I tried to stifle my laugh the best that I could while Noah blinked at me several times, dumbfounded, probably trying to gauge whether I was joking or not.
“‘It’s not even green’ she said,” Nick repeats with a laugh. I looked over at him; he was shaking his head at me while Bryan did the same, chuckling. I snorted and glanced back at Noah, "They can't even see in color and knew that I was joking. I wish you could've seen the look on your face." "Shut it," he rolls his eyes with smirk, pushing me playfully by the shoulder.
I snickered and made my way over to the table where Nick and Bryan were, giving them a hug each before grabbing a bottled water and a bag of chips. I made myself comfortable on the vacant couch with Noah following suit; I crossed my legs and leaned into him, digging into my snack as he draped an arm over my shoulders.
There’s a low whistle, and I look up from my bag of chips to see that Jolly no longer had his face buried into his phone but was instead looking at me. “Looking good, Oliv,” he compliments, his accent heavy on the nickname he recently started using for me. “Something different, but it’s nice.” “Holy shit.” The rhythm Folio had going on the practice pad falters, one drumstick clattering to the floor as he stares at me in awe. “Yeah, Liv. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you show that much skin before, you look h—ow!” He starts to comment, only to have Jolly jab him in the side with his elbow, shutting him up.
I feel Noah’s body tense, his arm tightening around my shoulders. “Pick your mouth up off the floor, Nick, or I’ll pick it up for you,” he grumbles, his hand closing into a fist as it rested on my shoulder. My eyes widen in shock from his words, and I glance up at him, seeing an unusual scowl strewn across his face. His darkened eyes were zeroed in on Folio and his jaw was ticking with anger. I sat up straight and uncrossed and recrossed my legs anxiously, the tension in the room heavy.
I’ve never seen him act this way towards the guys—was Noah jealous?
I turned towards him and rested a hand on his chest, hoping to ease him. “Noah, stop,” I said quiet enough so only he could hear. “They’re just being friendly.” He huffs through his nose while abruptly standing, leaving me to catch myself from falling flat against the couch cushions. He stalks out of the room, slamming the door behind him. The whole room froze.
“Was it something I said?” Folio asks timidly. I turned my attention to him, shaking my head at him in disbelief. “Clearly, you fucking moron,” I grumbled, standing up to trail after Noah. I had to jog to catch up to him, with him nearly disappearing into the shadows of the hallway.
“Hey,” I greet him gently, putting a hand on his arm to stop him from going any further. “The guys didn’t mean anything by what they said, Noah, you know that—” “How do you know that?” He snaps, spinning towards me. “Folio was practically drooling over you!” His brows were cinched together, his breathing heavy with anger radiating from him. Normally this type of behavior from him would make me apprehensive, but I was beginning to find this quite amusing. “Noah Sebastian,” I say, folding my arms over my chest as a smirk spread across my face. “Are you jealous?”
His face softens briefly, the scowl melting away as my question sunk in. He shakes his head with bewilderment, pulling his brows together again. “No, absolutely not. I just don’t want them making comments like that,” he says with conviction, but I caught the pink tinge spreading on his cheeks. “Mmm, sure you’re not,” I teased, stepping closer so I could lace my hands behind his neck. “It’s okay, I kinda like it,” I whispered sardonically with a wink. He plants his hands on my hips, “I’m not jealous,” he reiterates, giving me a firm squeeze. “They just need to know what’s mine is mine.”
I see this fierceness, this animosity flash in his eyes, and I knew I was starting to get under his skin, but I couldn’t stop myself from taunting him. Something about his demeanor was enthralling, causing this excitement to course through me. There was an eagerness of wanting to see what he would do next—I had to keep going, I had to see how far I could take this.
“Oh?” I raise a brow at him, “And what exactly is yours?” A low growl sounds from him as he backs me up against the wall, a huff escaping me as he pressed me to it. “You. You’re mine, Olivia.” He takes hold of my chin, bringing my face towards his while he locks eyes with me, “And I’ll make sure you don’t forget it.” The poise in his actions left me breathless, arousal simmering deep in my stomach. I squeeze my thighs together, feeling myself begin to throb just imagining how he intended to ‘make sure I don’t forget it’. I take a staggering breath in, “How?”
He pulls the corner of his mouth into a devious smirk, a low chuckle escaping him. He lets go of my chin and takes my hands from around his neck, pinning them above my head with one hand while the other skims down my navel. Excitement flutters in my belly when he drags his fingers leisurely down to my thigh, gliding to where my legs met, still tightly pressed together. “Spread them,” he growls.
I do as he says, swallowing harshly. My skirt bunched up as he brought his hand further up my thighs, grazing his fingertips by the hem of my panties, teasing me. I was panting with anticipation, impatiently waiting for him to soothe the throbbing ache I had for him.
He runs his fingers over the front of me, and his eyes flicker with satisfaction. I know he feels how damp my thong is, I know he feels the warmth of my core. He snakes his fingers through the fishnets and pulls the fabric to the side, dipping his fingers into my wetness. My back instinctively arches with the expectancy of him touching me.
“Oh fuck, Liv,” he groans and retracts his hand, holding it up to show me the slick webbing between his fingers. “Did I do this to you?” I nodded, biting my lip to hinder the whimper forming in my throat from escaping. “Then my work here is done,” he says matter-of-factly, releasing his hold on my arms and taking a step back. “What? Noah,” I whined from his denial. “You can’t just do this to me for the second time tonight.” “Second?” His face perks up in feigned surprise. “You mean this happened at the bus, too?” He smirked, then laughed when all I did was glower at him. “What? Not adequate enough?” “You’re such an asshole,” I grumbled, tugging my skirt back into place before brushing past him to retreat to the green room.
He snatches my wrist, pulling me flush against his body and grinds his hips into me—I can feel his erection pressing into my backside. “So, you want me to show you that you’re mine?” His voice was low in my ear, his warm breath sending a shiver down my spine as it brushed against my neck. “Yes,” I breathed and leaned into him, my eyes falling shut. “I want you to show me that I’m yours, and you are mine.” He lets out a quick ‘hm’, and I feel his cock twitch from my words. “I can do that,” he chuckles. “Down the hall, take a left. Go,” he gives me a slap on the ass, jolting me. I waste no time at all and do as he says, which leads us to the showers.
As soon as we crossed the entryway, Noah had his hands on my face and immediately crushes his lips to mine, backing me into one of the shower stalls. He pressed me against the tiles, and I let out a gasp from the chill of them; he takes advantage of my opened mouth and slips his tongue in, tasting me, devouring me. I drink him in as he groans into my mouth when my hands find their way into his hair, tugging lightly.
I feel the hunger he has for me from the quiet grunts emanating from him as he savors me, his hands ravaging me, tracing each curve of my body. He palms my thigh aggressively, placing my leg over his hip and hikes my skirt up, grinding himself into me. I let out a mewl from the small amount of pressure against me, which was nothing more than a tease with the clothes between us.
He sneaks a hand between us, rubbing against my panties the best that he could, obstructed by the fishnets. "You need to get rid of these," he mumbles against my lips, seemingly annoyed. I let out a dry laugh, "Kinda hard when you're taking control of the situation." "Fine, then I'll do it," he growls, and I gasped when I heard a tear—he ripped a hole in the fishnets. "Noah, these were new," I whined, only to have a moan slip past my lips when I felt his fingers push my thong to the side, rubbing against my clit. "Fuck," I breathed out, my back arching to further press myself against his hand. "I'll buy you new ones later," he tells me, moving his mouth to my neck. He bites down, slipping his fingers inside of me.
"Have you been like this the whole time? A needy mess?" he mumbles against my neck, trailing his lips to my ear while his fingers start to pump in and out of me. His breathing was heavy in my ear, sending another wave of heat to my core. "Yes," I whispered, starting to roll my hips in time with his fingers. "I'm sorry, love. Let me take care of you," he chuckles lowly when I whimpered from him removing his fingers. I clench around nothing, whining from the emptiness, needing him to fill me again.
He straightens up, a smug grin plastered on his face. He takes hold of my chin and locks eyes with me, fire burning in his dark irises, and his other hand worked on unclasping his belt. I heard his pants fall, the clink of his belt buckle hitting the floor echoing off the tiled walls around us. It was painfully loud, the area silent as I waited for him to do something. Anything.
He grips my thigh again, bringing my leg up further, and promptly plants his hand to the wall with my leg hooked around his arm. He lets go of my chin to take hold of his cock, and he runs himself through my folds agonizingly slow. I squirmed against him, and he chuckles quietly while he continues to tease me. "You want it, don't you?" "What do you think?" I retort, my patience growing thin. "I think you need to tell me that you're mine." I huffed, "So help me God, Noah—" The look he gives me was that of a warning, and it shuts me right up. He gives me a wicked grin, and I take a deep breath in from the sight. "I'm yours."
The second those words left my mouth, he hooked my other leg on his arm and pushes into me with a growl. "Fuck," I let out a sigh and my head falls back against the tiles, the feeling of him stretching me out consuming me. He pulls out and slowly re-enters me, groaning as his lips find their way on my neck again, grazing his teeth against my flushed skin. I hissed when he nips me, and I feel his lips pull into a smirk before trailing up towards my jaw. He peppers me with kisses, eventually reaching my mouth, and takes my bottom lip between his teeth—I groan when he bites down, pulling it into his mouth to suck on.
He started to pound into me with such animosity, and all I could do was claw my hands into his back and take it with the way he was holding me up. But I didn’t care; feeling him continuously bottom out inside of me and hearing his subtle grunts with each thrust was bringing me to a whole new world. I wanted nothing more than this, nothing other than him at this very moment.
I was buzzing; a fire had started in the pit of my stomach and was spreading through my body, and the only way of putting it out was by drinking all of him in. I pulled his face towards me, bringing my lips to his in a heated kiss, forcing my tongue inside of his mouth. He let out a throaty laugh, the heat of his breath filling my mouth while our tongues roamed and savored one another. It was sloppy, but I didn’t care. He tasted so good, he felt so good.
He let go of one of my legs, faltering for a moment as I unexpectedly slipped down the wall some. He picks it right back up, but this time settles my leg around his side. I took the hint and cling on, digging my heel into his back to keep myself up while he went back to the rhythm he had going. “Fuck, Noah,” I moaned, my voice echoing loudly in the empty room. There was a slight difference in angle, his cock hitting me just the right way, and I couldn’t stop myself from arching my back and digging my nails further into his shirt.
“Don’t stop, just like tha—” My sentence was cut short from the gasp he elicited from me, his fingers now rubbing against my clit. “Like this?” He ruts into me aggressively, his fingers still gliding over my swollen bud. All I could do was nod, focusing solely on the feeling of him all over me, pushing me further and further towards the edge with each stroke. “You’re gonna come, aren’t you?” he asked, moving so his mouth was by my ear. “Go on, come. So long as you know that you’re mine.” “Y-yes,” I breathed, feeling my muscles start to tighten. “Good,” he growls, taking hold of my earlobe between his teeth.
I was a whimpering mess in his grasp as he continued to fuck me into the tiled walls, his fingers relentless against my clit that was beginning to throb painfully. I couldn’t hold on for much longer, quickly letting go in his grasp. “Fuuuck,” I bellowed, and my body writhes against him, my walls clenching around his length when my orgasm rips through me.
He doesn’t stop, even when I cried out to him or when I put my hands to his chest to try and push him away. He kept grinding his hips into me with fervor, until he plants his mouth to mine and moans against me, panting heavily as he released inside of me. His movements begin to slow, giving me tender kisses in between breaths as he leisurely rides out his climax, feeling him pulse inside me.
He gently lowers me back to my feet, but I begin to slide down against the wall, my legs weak as they still trembled. He goes down with me, leaning against the adjacent wall and pulls me against him. I slumped against him, lazily wrapping my arms around his torso and rested my head on his chest, feeling it rise and fall as he tries to steady his breathing and calm his erratic heart. I closed my eyes, my body relaxing into him further when he starts to rub my back—if we weren’t in a shower, at a venue of all places, I could’ve fallen asleep right then and there.
“We should probably get back to the green room soon, huh?” he asks after a few minutes of us calming down. I shrugged against him. “Maybe. You think they’ll notice?” I questioned, looking up at him. “Notice what? That we fucked?” I nod and he gives a fatigued chuckle, “Nah. We’ll just give it some more time.”
Between our tousled hair, my ripped fishnets, and the lipstick smudged between us, they most certainly did notice.

PLASTIC HEARTS — ALL
Synopsis: what the characters are like in the mornings since I’m currently writing this at midnight lol + I feel like ask memes are really underrated and they’re quick to write so I’m open to those too amongst the 100 of other things I have on my list/have yet to write (typical writing probs lol)
Tumblr media
Jordan: I feel like with Jordan is either 50/50 with him. If he has to be up pertaining to football then he’s up and determined! it might take him like 2-5 mins more extra in bed to fully get up if his parents (more so billy) don’t drag him out of bed but he still manages to get up and function somehow. If he’s partying the night before then that’s a different story, he’s always hungover and feeling that shit the next morning so he’ll move super slow and will be late to class/grumpy as hell. He’s either happy and functioning well making sure he’s getting a meal regardless if he’s in a good mood in the morning or not cause the boy likes to EAT (just like Michael’s ass) + if there’s no food at the house best believe he’s cruising to a cafe to get him a meal before heading to boredom high—I mean Beverly
If he’s in a crap mood then he’s mean to everyone in his path. It’s best to leave him alone and let him sulk in his corner until he’s out of his grumpy mood which he does get out of...eventually after arguing with someone or snapping on them, taking a nap in the back of class, or after football practice.
Olivia: I’m squinting as I’m thinking this over. I don’t really think she’s a morning person? but she sets her alarm for herself and can get up in the morning without the help of her parents unlike Jordan lol. She is the type to set her alarm ten minutes before she actually has to get up so she can get extra time in the comfort of her bed. It takes the girl some time to get ready in the morning okay? Have you seen her hair? It takes time to get it right for how she wants it and she always says she should pick her outfits the night before but she always seems to get side tracked so that never happens which also takes up more of her time. Eventually she almost always makes it downstairs before Jordan does. They DON’T ride to school together, hardly, unless one of them has a issue with their car or something but they’re usually doing their own thing but have some sort of conversation in the morning over breakfast—trying to build the closeness of their relationship back
Liv likes to be on time if she can or just right on time, either or. And if things come up, then she’s a little anxious which she normally is until she’s meeting up with someone she can hold a conversation with. Half of the time there’s no need to be anxious? It’s just there and she hates it despite the lonerism she found herself in
Spencer: I think Spencer can be a light sleeper since he’s used to some sort of noise going on in his house. Plus his room is in the center of where the noise will take place. If it’s too quiet, like it usual was at the baker’s he finds it a little hard to sleep all the way? There has to be something going on for him to fully sleep like the light noise of tv? Or a sound machine. James said he was the same way as a baby, always alert. So when he wakes up in the morning, he always lets out a soft sigh closing his eyes letting the alarm go off for a few more seconds before he smacking it off. He has to get in the shower to fully wake him up tho. If he doesn’t take a shower in the morning then he’s not fully up and if he doesn’t take a shower at night, he knows he’s not going to sleep well either.
If he has to walk Dillon to school, then he doesn’t mind being late. Now that Dillon is getting older he doesn’t mind walking on his own or with a friend or two but being the protector that Spencer is, he’s going to try his best to make time for Dillon no matter what and the boy secretly appreciates it but understands now if it can’t be all the time. Spencer doesn’t have his license so he’s either catching the bus (if he was still going to Beverly, Jordan or Liv would scoop him up ofc) or speed walking to school which he seems to make just in time?? Always.
Layla: I always view her as someone so chipper. She IS a morning person (unless the depression is hitting her hard, some of us have those days) and usually has it together. She’s a big planner and if she doesn’t continue with being a producer like her dad in the future, I can see her being a event planner big time. Anyways she’s usually very organized, outfits steamed and hung up for the week, weekly calendars and reminders in her phone. Alarm’s set since she’s the only one in the house and only has herself to depend on. I feel she does take a lot on her plate for a teenager so she tries her best to follow a routine/schedule most of the time. Wake up. Stretch. Slippers. Robe. She does not check her phone until after she is done taking care of herself! Brush teeth. Shower. Skincare. Get dressed. Does hair. Checks phone on her way downstairs to breakfast. Layla is a açaí bowl or oatmeal kinda girl, fight amongst yourselves. I see it. I manifest it. She always has to have her hands in something and when it comes to breakfast and baking, you can count on her to always make something. It became something she loved since her mom and her always did that together. And she often likes taking the long way to school and the long way back home.
Asher: not a morning person. Never on time unless it’s for football on Saturday mornings. he’s a cereal kinda guy since his dad can’t afford a professional chef anymore. His favorite cereal is probably Rice Krispies with strawberries and wh*le milk or cashew milk if he remembers to buy it from the grocery app. I feel like he would eventually have to get a job his senior year since it’s kind of a struggle with his dad settling into his new job. It’s a big adjustment with his parents divorced and although his mom still slips him money when he see’s her every other weekend, he’s more tired than he ever was before. He’s used to sleeping in cars if he’s not in a king sized bed but can pretty much sleep everywhere. He can sleep through anything and always has multiple loud ass alarms to wake him up since his dad is either gone before he wakes up like before or just about to leave for his new job. He never bothers to wake him anyways. Asher is a grumpy grouch in the mornings and is addicted to ice coffees and loves a good pastry if he can’t have himself some cereal in the morning.
He’s also annoyed if he doesn’t get his cartoon’s in too before school. Don’t bother him until mid-morning, early afternoon if you know what’s good for you.
Coop: if she’s something else when she’s angry what do you think she’s like in the mornings? Annoying either way? Probably lmao. She’s probably a talker in the morning expressing some wild ass dream she had or either how she had a sucky night and couldn’t sleep properly so she was up writing a new song or something. Since she’s dropping out of school, her mornings could probably start later around 11am? Unless her mother is still home and making her get out of bed to run errands with her or clean the house while she’s gone for the day? Either way she’s probably dancing, talking your head off, blasting music as she gets ready, or browsing Twitter as her form of “morning news”
Chris: I get night owl vibes from Chris. Which is more difficult to do in high school, whew! He has to use melatonin spray or cream to help him knock out and if it fully doesn’t help, he’s dragging the next morning once he fully crashes. Sometimes it can be a good morning or it can be a sucky one. Due to his injury, he gets occasional pain in his joints which he keeps a secret from mostly everyone from his team since they were only described as spasms from his doctor. He deals with it even if it freaks him out from time to time. If it’s a sucky morning, he has to wake himself up with a splash of water to the face and then tending to the pain in his joints before carrying on about his day.
I do think he’s on his phone a lot. Before bed, actually watching soothing videos to help him knock out—don’t tell anybody that and then checking his phone again when he wakes up. Which is apparently unhealthy for the mind but hey with technology continuing to take over, what can you do?
Patience: the girl doesn’t care if she’s late or early. All that matters is trying to get through the day. She’s not crazy about getting up early to sit in 7-8 classes a day but if she’s got to do it, then she’s going to take her time. She wasn’t named “Patience” for no reason okay? When it comes to her appearance, she’s going to make sure she puts in the effort because if she looks good then she feels good and can go about her day. Most of the time she takes a quick breakfast with her on her bus ride to school (thanks to her hair not doing what she wanted it to) and then if there’s time heads to the cafeteria to get whatever they’re serving for breakfast there. At least that’s better than the lunch they serve there.
JJ: total morning person! Or if he’s not? You can never tell. The guys always in the best mood. Even if he was out partying and doing too much the night before, the dude is never hungover. Everyone wants to know his secret. And when he tells them, they don’t believe it. He’s usually a slob of a eater but he also knows how to take care of his body and all about his protein shakes and juicing. He definitely has a meal plan that he takes the time to post on his Instagram stories. The guy loves Instagram and is always posting there. If you need positive words of affirmations, JJ is your guy. Check his stories or if you run into him in person he’s all hugs and uplifting you to get through the day. He’s the guy you need around if you need it. If you don’t want to be bothered? Make sure he doesn’t see you and keep your distance because he will tackle you down and turn into DJ Khaled on your ass.
Simone: she hates mornings and thinks it’s cruel to be up five days of the week for. If she physically feels like she can’t get up due to intense studying or up binge watching real housewives or whatever, she knows it the night before and puts her plan into motion the next morning. Her parents are usually always on her ass, especially her mom so it takes a lot of persuading to let her stay home. And it still doesn’t feel like a free day because her mom is checking up on her every hour on the dot from work. She makes it feel like Simone should have just went to school. If the answer is, “there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re going.” Then Simone is definitely in a sour mood. Her dad almost always drives her to school and she checks up on her son every day through socials if she doesn’t message his second mother. Simone’s also not much of a breakfast person but if her dad is making her eat they’re stopping somewhere before he drops her off or encouraging her to take some of whatever dish he made before they leave.
Now? If there’s something on her mind? Then she’s active and stressing over it before she’s talking to someone about it. She’s out getting a light jog on around her gated neighborhood (she’s getting her fitness game back up after deciding to take tennis seriously again) before showering and getting back into bed for at least thirty minutes to forty five before she has to be up for school. Worries erased for now.
Darnell: is a morning person even if he grumbles that he doesn’t care for it. He’s a sunset kinda guy not a sunrise. It’s not much of a issue for him to get up and start the day with a long exaggerated sigh. He’s not as talkative but get something in his belly and he’s bringing up some interesting facts or news about what’s going on with certain celebrities he keeps up with. I also feel like he knows how to cook and breakfast isn’t his speciality but lunch foods are? Grits, eggs, bacon, and jam on toast is his fav thing to eat for breakfast with apple juice. That’s right, apple juice over orange juice no matter what Spence and dil have to say.
His version of appetizers (which are too big of portions but to each their own) are his go to make for lunch. For breakfast if he can’t have his fav meal in the late morning, he always eats light since he says his stomach is too sensitive in the mornings which has been proven to be true...The James’ can vouch for that
Kia: again 50/50. Depends on her night. She’s also someone who is very active in clubs so it all depends when she gets home and how fast she can get things done at home before she can crash. Sometimes she takes a lot on as well but she thrives off it? It makes her feel productive but she also knows how to balance and have free time when she wants to. Her breakfast always consists of fruit, she loves her fruit. And even if she finds herself running late then she quickly adjusts and cuts out what needs to be cut out of her morning routine and get where she needs to be making herself have the time. Which can be good or bad, depends on how you look at it. Kia is great at handling whatever is thrown at her it seems!
Vanessa: Morning person after she’s fully awake lol. Hates how she looks in the morning, thinks her face is too puffy and definitely uses a jade roller no matter what to help. Her mom is always on her ass + she’s a coach so just imagine that on top while struggling to get up. However once she’s settled, she gets this burst of energy—coach montes believes it’s “the vitamins” and “always eating properly” but the small girl always seemed to get random bursts of energy throughout the day no matter the circumstance. loves a food bagel or pastry for breakfast with orange juice or water, either is fine. She especially loves sunny mornings in California, it just makes her feel better—as it should. She even thanks the sun when it greets her face. Which is something she used to do as a kid too.
Fin.
A/N: I apologize for any typos in advance. It’s now 2am, phones about to die and it’s surely time to crash. Goodnight/morning wherever you are in the world and I’ll fix what needs to be fixed later lol. Feel free to send me ask memes for this week if you want when I do have the energy to write. Toodles!

Jens’ season | Chapter ten (finale)
Saturday, March 7th
They arrived late in Utrecht. Or, early.
Lucas’ father had refused to make the drive but allowed him to go and take the train if he wanted to. Jens get that they were divorced, but still. She was his ex-wife, the mother of his child. She must still have a place in his heart.
Apparently not.
Lucas had been fidgety and tense during the whole train ride, biting his lip and checking his phone every ten seconds in case there were any updates from his dad - who was in contact with the clinic -, but there weren’t.
Jens felt helpless. He didn’t know what to do or even say, having never been in this situation before. A part of him wanted to comfort Lucas, tell him everything’s going to be okay, but he wasn’t a psychiatrist nor a doctor. He didn’t know shit.
So, he stayed quiet, his head pressed against the cold window of the train, his right hand holding onto Lucas’ tightly.
When they got to the train station, someone was there to pick them up. He had blond hair and a darker beard, and seemed older than them. An old friend, Lucas said. He dropped the two teenagers at the clinic and told Lucas to call him if he needed a ride before driving off.
The door of the clinic was unlocked despite being the middle of the night. They walked in and the lady at the front desk frowned, seeing Jens and Lucas walking into the building. ‘’Hello. How may I help you?’’
‘’My...my mom’s been admitted here a few hours ago,’’ Lucas replied, his voice strained. ‘’I’m here to see her.’’
‘’I’m sorry, visits have ended hours ago. You should come back in the morning-’’
Alas, Lucas wasn’t taking no for answer tonight. He was scared and worried for his mother and wouldn’t calm down until he sees her.
‘’No! I took a train all the way here. I have to see her,’’ he insisted, hoping the woman will make an exception for him. ‘’She needs me, I- Please.’’
Still hesitating, the desk lady glanced at them, noticing the tired look on their faces and the backpack on Lucas’ shoulder and sighed, giving in. ‘’Patient name?’’
‘’Lieke Van Der Heijden.’’
She typed in the name in her computer, giving Lucas an apologetic look when reading his mother’s file. ‘’I can’t let you go in the room past visiting hours. But, I’ll call up the psychiatrist on shift and he’ll be able to give you details about your mother.’’
You could see on Lucas’ face that he wasn’t completely satisfied with the bargain, but it was better than nothing.
Jens smiled at the woman. ‘’Thank you.’’
.
Jens didn’t go in.
He waited on a couch in the waiting area of the clinic while Lucas went to talk with the doctor, not wanting to intrude Mrs. Van Der Heijden’s privacy. While Lucas wanted him by his side at the clinic, it didn’t mean Jens had to be all up in their businesses. And, if Lucas needed him, he’ll come to him.
Having nothing else to do, Jens checked his phone, seeing the group chat blowing up with unread messages and a few personal ones from Robbe, asking what was going on and where the hell he and Lucas went.
Did you guy ditch us to fuck? Moyo had bluntly asked.
In another situation, Jens would’ve rolled his eyes and laughed - maybe he would’ve told him to fuck off -, but not tonight. Instead, he he simply told them that Lucas had a family emergency and had to go home - sparing them the whole details for privacy purpose.
Half an hour later, Lucas returned and filled the empty seat beside Jens. His hair was a mess from touching them so much - a habit he picked up when he was stressed or anxious. Jens slipped his phone back in his pocket, giving his attention to his boyfriend.
''How is she?''
''Sedated,'' Lucas responded, forgetting to laugh at his own bad joke. ''Sorry.''
Jens shook his head. ''It's okay.''
‘’A neighbor called the cops. They said she was acting like a lunatic, throwing out my father's last belongings on her porch since 6am and was planning to redecorate the whole house to 'clean it from his bad energy'. The doctor said it was a psychotic episode. She hasn't been taking her meds for a few weeks.’’
Lucas's parents' divorce was messy and heartbreaking. She truly loved Lucas' father - he was her high school lover -, but the man didn't want anything to do with her after being diagnosed although he had vowed to love her in sickness and health.
‘’I don't understand. She sounded very lucid last week on the phone. I should’ve gone home-’’
Shaking his head, Jens didn’t let him finish. ‘’Don’t do that. Don’t guilt yourself for something you can’t change. You’re here, now. It’s all that matters.’’
‘’If I had been here, I could’ve made sure she was taking her medication. I always do. Sometimes, she forget...and other times, she doesn’t want to take them. When she’s off her medication for too long, things gets bad and she has psychotic episodes. Dad and I tried to have someone from the clinic to come and check up on her, but it’s really expensive and we can’t afford that. That’s what he said. Maybe he doesn't want to pay for her, I don’t know.’’
It was simply an assumption, but Jens hoped it wasn't true. If so, Mr. Van der Heijden was a very shitty person.
Feeling a wave of tiredness hit him, Jens glanced at the clock in the waiting room and then to Lucas who's head was resting on his shoulder, trying to control his anxious riddled brain.
‘’It’s late. Should we head...home? You need sleep.’’
Lucas shook his head stubbornly. ‘’No. I need to stay here. I need to be there when my mom will wake up.’’
''The clinic had made an exception for a short visit and a conversation with the doctor. You'll have to wait till visiting hours to see her. We can't wait seven hours here.''
The night had been long and stressful and Jens couldn't wait to head to bed. He understood Lucas' want to stay at the clinic, but sleeping in those uncomfortable waiting chair would only make him feel sore and shitty in the morning. Lucas needed rest. Good rest.
‘’They gave her medication. She’ll be out for a couple more hours. We’ll come back in the morning.’’
‘’But-’’
‘’We can ask the office lady to call you when your mom is awake. How about that?’’
To Jens' relief, Lucas agreed.
.
It was almost 10am when the doorbell rang, stirring Jens from his deep, dreamless sleep. He groaned, the noise keeping going again and again - unable to ignore it. Who the hell could be at the door so early? He almost yelled at Lotte to go open, but remembered he was in Utrecht, at Lucas' house.
Fighting sleep, Jens opened his eyes - keeping them open was the real challenge here - and saw Lucas still fast asleep beside him. He smiled, soft snores coming from Lucas' slightly parted lips. It took Lucas over an hour to fall asleep this morning, constantly checking his phone every five minutes to see if he had any missed calls from the clinic. Jens had pulled him into his arms and played with his hair, knowing it worked as a kid when his mom would do it.
Now, the doorbell was getting on Jens' nerves and he wanted it to stop.
Carefully removing himself from Lucas' grasp, Jens got up and searched for his pants from yesterday, not about to answer the door in his boxers. He was barely awake enough to function as he walked down the hallway to get to the door, not caring that he was looking like a mess right now. That’s what a middle of the night bus ride and falling asleep at 4am does to you.
Before opening the door, Jens checked through the peephole and saw a short girl with curly hair and a boy with darker skin and messy hair whom he recognized as Isa and Kes.
A frown formed on Isa’s forehead when the door opened, confused why someone else was answering and not her friend. ‘’Who are you? Where’s Luc?’’
‘’Erm, I’m Jens. You’re Isa, right?’’
She nodded slowly, still a bit confused until she realized who Jens was. ‘’Oh my god! You’re Luc’ boyfriend aren't you?’’
Jens nodded, eyes squinting at the brightness outside. ‘’Does Luc knows you were coming? Did he tell you about-’’ He interrupted himself, uncertain if Isa and Kes knew about Mrs. Van der Heijden’s mental illness.
Isa hummed. '‘Yeah. I figured he’d be here in the morning.’’
Jens didn’t have to invite them in, the two walking right in and making themself home in the living room.
‘’Where’s Luc?’’ Kes asked, looking around for his best friend.
‘’He’s sleeping. The night has been long.’’
Kes hummed. ‘’How is he?’’
‘’Not good,’’ Jens honestly responded as he sat down in the armchair.
The trio didn't have time to engage in much of a conversation, footsteps coming from the hallway a few minutes after sitting down. They tried to be quiet to let Lucas sleep some more, but failed. Or, maybe it was the emptiness in the bad that woke him?
‘’What are you guys doing here?’’ Lucas asked, seeing his friends and boyfriend in the living room. He was wearing Jens' hoodie, finding the comfort he lacked of when he woke up to an empty bed.
Isa stood, meeting Lucas halfway and pulled him into a hug. He hugged her back before going to sit with Jens in the armchair, unbothered by his friends' presence.
Kes, on the other hand, wasn't as nice as Isa and looked at Lucas with hard eyes laced with deception. ‘’Why didn’t you tell me about your mom? I had to learn from Isa who heard it from Liv who was talking with Ralf. We’re best friends, Luc.’’
‘’Sorry you weren’t the first thing on my mind when my dad called me to say my mom was in a clinic.''
Kes sighed, changing his tone. ‘’You know I didn’t mean it like that...’’
‘’How is she?’’ Isa asked, switching the conversation.
‘’She’s in a clinic, Isa. How well can she be?’’ Lucas responded, his tone a little too harsh.
Unhappy with the way he spoke to his friend, Jens put han hand on Lucas’ thigh, a silent way to tell him to not get worked up. Even if Isa’s question was stupid to him, it wasn't a reason to talk to his friends like that. They came here because they cared about Lucas and his mom, not to get yelled at.
''Have you seen her?'' Kes asked, blaming Lucas' attitude on stress and morning grumpiness.
''No. Visiting hours were over long ago. I'll be going today.''
''Do you need us to come with?''
Although Kes' offer was nice, Lucas already had an emotional support. ''No. Jens is here.'' He leaned into Jens' chest and Jens kissed Lucas' shoulder over the hoodie, confirming his words.
‘’Tell your mom we say hi, okay?’’ Kes said.
‘’Will do.’’
.
Sunday, March 8th
The past two days had been difficult and emotional for Lucas - and Jens, by bias.
Lucas had spent hours at the clinic at his mom's bedside, just sitting there and watching her sleep most of the time, too high on meds to stay awake. Sometimes, she'd talk to him, but never for long. She was happy that her son was here, but also felt guilty that he had to come home just because she went off her meds again. Lucas denied her wrong assumptions and promised her that he had come here on his free will, that he wanted to be with her, but she still insisted that she was disrupting her son's life and being a burden to him like she was to his father. Lucas knew it was the depression and meds talking, but it still hurt.
When Lucas left his mother's room with tears in his eyes, Jens decided it was enough for the day. Taking care of someone didn't mean allowing them to disturb your own mental health. You need to know when to take some space from them, even if it's just for a few hours.
Back at Lucas', Jens made them dinner while Lucas took a shower. He was a terrible cook so pastas will have to do - not that there was a lot of options to cook with in the pantries and fridge. Ten minutes later, Lucas came out of his shower and Jens brought the bowls of pastas to the living room.
''Talk to me. I need a distraction.''
''Okay...'' Jens racked his brain, trying to think of something to talk about when he remembered that he hadn't told Lucas about the move yet. ''My parents are separating. My mom, sister and I will be moving.''
By the look on his boyfriend's face, Jens realized he should have added more details in the first place. Now, Lucas must be thinking he's moving from Antwerp. He was supposed to distract him, not make him sadder. Well done, Jens...
He shook his head, swallowing his bite of pasta. ''I'm not changing school, don't worry. We are just moving to a new neighborhood where the apartments are cheaper.''
Relief washed over Lucas' face. ''Hopefully closer to mine.'' He smirked and Jens hummed.
They lived relatively close to each other, but they could be closer. Living closer would mean easily meeting up in the middle of the night when one of them couldn't fall asleep instead of texting or take the bus together to school.
''That would be nice, wouldn't it?''
Lucas nodded before snickering. ''As if we don't see each other almost every day already.''
Jens laughed. ''Wanna watch a movie?''
The brunet shrugged. ''If you want.''
''Any preferences?''
''No, you can choose.''
''You trust my movie taste? Be careful what you wish for. We might end up watching the Notebook or some other chick flick shit.''
A small smile curved on Lucas' lips for the first time since Friday and Jens took it as a win.
''I know I must not be fun to be around right now and this probably isn't the weekend you had planned, but I...I’m just not in the mood to do anything. All I can think about it my mom and-’’
Jens shook his head, understanding. ‘’It’s okay. I don’t mind. I like chill nights too. As long as I’m with you.’’
Lucas wrinkled his face in disgust. ‘’Ew. Don’t say that. I’m gonna vomit.’’
‘’You don’t like cheesy?’’
‘’No. Jens?’’ He hummed in response, but didn’t budge. ’’You might think that you aren’t helping, but you are. By making sure I get enough sleep, eat and don’t get stuck in my head too much. You distract me with movies and cuddles - lots of cuddles. All of this helps me a lot, I couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend.’’
''Look who's the cheesy one, now!''
''Shut up. This was supposed to be cute, but you ruined it...''
.
Monday, March 9th
Goodbyes, even temporary ones, always hurt.
Jens’ arms were around Lucas, holding him tight, dreading the moment they’ll have to part. If it hadn't been for his mother’s request, Jens would’ve stayed longer, but Fenna wasn’t too happy to learn that her son had left the country without any warnings and skipped school. She understood the situation, sending well wishes to Lucas and his mom, but still wanted him to come home.
Lucas sighed, sad blue eyes looking at Jens. ‘’I don’t want you to go.’’
Give it to Jens and Lucas to make their departures dramatic and seem like they were parting for war when it was only a couple days. They had been standing at the train station for half an hour, clinging to each other and being one of those couples.
‘’I don’t want to either, but I can’t disobey my mom. She’s already mad that I left without warning. Lucky for me, she loves you or else I’d be grounded for weeks.’’
Lucas smiled before pushing his face in Jens’ shirt, not caring that he was behaving like a baby at the train station. ‘’I’ll miss you,’’ he said quietly.
‘’That’s why I gave you my hoodie. It’ll feel like I’m with you when you close your eyes,’’ Jens explained. He kissed Lucas’ temple, his face hidden from view.
‘’I still prefer the real thing...’’
‘’Me too,’’ Jens agreed. ‘’But, it’ll have to do for now.’’
A voice echoed through the station, warning travelers of the trains that will be leaving soon and, sadly for them, Jens’ train was in the list. Lucas recognized the number and clutched the back of his boyfriend’s shirt, refusing to let go.
''My train is here,'' Jens announced, trying remove Lucas's grip from him but also not wanting to part either.
.
Tuesday, March 10th
After dinner, Jens sat on the floor, surrounded by the mess of his bedroom. He was folding and packing clothes, getting ready for the move when a text from Lucas came in and distracted him, abandoning the pile of clothes.
Lucas: I don’t know when I’ll come back
Jens: That’s okay. Take your time. Your mom needs you. I’ll be here waiting ❤
Lucky for him, his mom was there to keep her children on track with the packing. They were moving the following Friday and the whole house had to be packed up. It was a small delay, but doable if everyone helped.
''Have you started packing yet?''
''Yes.''
Fenna looked around the room and raised an eyebrow, not seeing much progress since she last came here to check - which was two hours ago. ''Quit talking to Lucas and pack your bedroom, it won't pack itself. Even Lotte has started putting her toys in boxes.''
Jens frowned, raising his eyes from his phone. ''How do you know it's Lucas I'm talking to? Why not Robbe or Moyo?''
''Because you have that smile on your face when you talk to him. Others might not notice it, but I'm your mom. I see these things.''
A light blush coated his cheeks.
Jens: Gotta get back to packing...😞
Lucas: 🥺
Jens: We'll facetime tonight, okay?
Lucas: I'll wait for your call. Love you ❤
.
Friday, March 13th
A mix of laughters and shoutings filled Jens' bedroom as the four boys battled at video games. They were in the middle of a heated competition between Jens and Moyo when the doorbell went off, forcing them to pause the game.
Jens handed the controller to Robbe, being the only trustable person out of them, and went downstairs to answer the door. A confused frown and a wide grin shared space on Jens’ face, surprised to see his boyfriend on the other side.
''What the-''
''Missed me?'' Lucas asked, a small grin on his lips, interrupting Jens.
Jens' grin broadened and he pulled Lucas into a hug after getting him inside, shutting the door behind. Lucas returned the embrace, snaking his arms behind Jens' neck, missing the closeness of his boyfriend.
''What are you doing here? You couldn’t get away from me for long, uh?’’ Jens teased instead of pointing out Lucas’ tired look, the bags under his eyes looking darker than at the train station on Monday.
Lucas rolled his eyes. ‘’Yeah, I missed your pretty face too much.’’ He squished Jens’s cheeks with his hand, making him pull a fishy face, and laughing at how ridiculous he looked.
‘’I knew it, you can’t get enough of me.’’ Smug look on his face, Jens leaned in to kiss Lucas.
Sooner than usual, Jens’ tongue pushed past Lucas’ lips and Lucas slipped his hands under Jens’ shirt, feeling the warm skin under the grey cotton, catching a soft sigh of content from the taller boy.
They hadn’t had a lot of occasions to kiss more than a quick peck since last Friday and it felt good to share a longer kiss. The weekend had been emotionally difficult for Lucas and his head wasn’t in a mood to make out despite having the house to themselves all weekend.
For a moment, the two boys almost forgot that they were standing in Jens’ entry.
Lucas pulled away, but kept his hands on Jens. ‘’I’m only here for the night, I’m going back tomorrow morning. I came to pick up a few things from my dad’s...and see you.’’
Jens hummed and leaned to kiss Lucas again when loud arguing was heard from upstairs, catching Lucas' attention and making him frown.
''You're having people over?’’ he questioned, feeling bad for taking Jens away from his guests. ‘’I can come back later if-''
Jens shrugged. ''It’s just the boys. We were playing video games. Come.’’
Lucas toed off his shoes and let Jens pull him upstairs.
As they got closer to Jens’ bedroom Lucas’ stomach knotted, worried Jens’ friend will ask questions after the way he left last week at the party. He never gave them an explanation and he was hoping Jens hadn’t told them what happened to his mom. He might be okay to share this personal information with Jens and his own close friends like Kes, Isa and Ralph, but he didn’t want everyone to know.
‘’Now we know why he was taking so long to come back,’’ Aaron pointed out when he saw Lucas behind Jens.
Jens flipped him off and went to the empty spot on his bed, pulling Lucas onto his lap, taking advantage of having limited seating space in his cardboard boxes filled bedroom.
Robbe handed Jens back the controller, ready to get back to the game.
''How are you gonna play with Lucas sitting on you like that? You can hardly see,'' Aaron pointed out.
Jens smirked, feeling confident. ''Don't worry, I can still beat your ass.''

Family Found Part 48: WrestleMania
The road is at an end. And for one wrestler, so is their career. But first, the rest of the roster get their chances to reach for glory. Titles are destined to change hands, but which ones?
Warnings/Promises: wrestling violence, tiny Sheamus x reader fluff, angst
Word Count: 3830
Note: The ‘Monday’ chapter is also coming out this weekend too, so look for that. And then there will only be one more chapter that is guaranteed to rip your hearts out. Please let me know how you’ve been enjoying, or not, this series with comments, reblogs, or messages on/off anon. Thanks for sticking around this long!
Part 1: Welcome to the Team
Part 47: Resigning
Tumblr media
WrestleMania – April 7, 2019 – Brooklyn, NY
“We have finally arrived at the end of the road. Tonight is WrestleMania!” The crowd was abuzz. Chants for favorites, and the usual random ones, sounded off every few minutes. Most of the seats were filled already because no one wanted to miss a second of the show of the year.
The announce team was preparing for interviews when Charly focused on listening closely to her headset. “Um, guys, we need to break to something going on backstage.”
Camera crew members hurried to catch up to the chaos erupting backstage. Tamina had caught Sarah Logan alone. Pinned into a corner, Sarah had nowhere to go and nothing to do except to receive the attack. Referees rushed onto the scene to break them apart. Just as Tamina was made to walk away, another fight broke out further down the hall.
This time it was Alicia Fox taking her skills to Liv Morgan, who was being held back by Ruby Riott. “Let me go,” Alicia shouted. “I’m not done with her! Viva la Alicia and Mickie!” She was still being dragged away when the cameras flipped back to the pre-show table.
Newly arrived, Bayley and Sasha Banks were snickering at the destruction. David Otunga was flabbergasted. “You don’t seem surprised to see all this. Care to explain?”
Sasha giggled and shared a look with her tag partner. “Of course we aren’t surprised. If anything, that was the plan. Our title match tonight is an open challenge. But we,” she motioned between herself and Bayley, “won’t know who it is until the bell rings. Anybody could challenge us up to that moment.”
“You see,” Bayley added, “it’s no secret that Sasha and I haven’t always gotten along. All this year we have done our best to rip each other to shreds to find out who is the better woman. We put that aside so we could win the first ever Raw Women’s Tag Team Championships, and we’re not letting them go until the rest of the locker room shows us what, or who, they’re willing to rip apart to take these from us.”
With a nod, Sasha agreed. Sorta. “Not that it’s going to happen tonight, or any time soon. If any of those ladies think they can take our championships away on the grandest stage of them all, they’ve got another thing coming.”
The champions left, leaving the announce team to hurry and get their pre-show opinions in order.
***
The first official match was the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. All of the participating wrestlers were in the ring, and at the bell, they each found an opponent. Several men flipped over the ropes, and a couple under them. It took about forty-five minutes to make it down to the final five. It was Mojo Rawley, EC3, Jeff Hardy, R-Truth, and Cesaro.
After a few more minutes, it was down to Mojo and Cesaro. The Swiss Cyborg was just going over the ropes when the missing wrestlers appeared from under the ring. The rough hype came to a standstill as he recognized his old partner and the man with the longest losing streak. Zack Ryder kept a close eye on him as Curt Hawkins followed him into the ring. It was two versus one, but Mojo succeeded in throwing both of them off. He tossed Hawkins through the ropes and set to tipping Ryder over the top. Struggling, Ryder was able to wriggle onto the apron.
Curt rolled backing into the ring, restarting the fight. It was Mojo who ended up going over the topes, but he took Ryder with him, despite Curt’s death-grip on his friend’s wrist. Mojo had a grip around Ryder’s waist. If Ryder fell, he fell. And Hawkins was the only lifeline. The duo started to slip backward, Hawkins’s grip failing. Zack smiled. “It’s all you, man.” Then he let go.
The bell rang. Rawley and Rider had been eliminated, and Curt Hawkins had won the battle royal. And, he had ended his streak.
***
Behind you on a screen, Ryder was celebrating with Hawkins in the ring. You were too busy arguing with a flurry of women to watch it. “Ladies, enough! There isn’t time to add another preshow match. As much as I hate that you are fighting backstage, I can’t give you a tornado tag match. Bayley and Sasha’s opponents will just have to bide their time and strike when they can. Whoever they are. Now please, I’ve got things to do.”
Begrudgingly, the women left your office. You were rubbing your temples when there was a hesitant knock at your door. “I thought I made myself clear- oh.” Large hands gripped your shoulders, working out the stressed kinks. “You’re going to get us in trouble.”
“Only if we get caught,” Sheamus chuckled. He succeeded in wrapping his arms around you before kissing the top of your head. It was enough to help you release a long, deep breath. Suddenly his touch was gone.
“Can I have a moment with my cousin?” Dean asked, calmly staring Sheamus down from the doorway. After your red-head gave you a reassuring pat between your shoulder blades, the men sidestepped each other.
Hey, Dean,” you whispered.
He stepped in rubbing the back of his head. “Hey, Ladybug. I know you’re busy, but I need to get something off my chest.”
“Go for it.” Easy to say. The tightness of your chest claimed otherwise.
He nodded. “I get it. I understand. And I’m sorry for the ride through hell to get there.” His hand shot up to stop you from putting yourself down again. “It was an impossible choice. Either Roman and I were going to lose Seth again, or I was going to have to give up… everything. I mean, we just got him back. And I just got you back… and there was nothing you could do.” Dean set his shoulders, but his eyes couldn’t meet yours. “I should have been willing to listen. Then maybe we could have found a way to avoid all this.”
You were on the verge of tears. He booped your nose, forcing you to smile. “Roman keeps telling me I have nothing to worry about.” You wiped away a tear. “And I have complete faith in both of you-“
“But?”
“But Brock is dangerous. Past the stupid stipulations. He’s… just about everybody ends up bloody or worse-“
“And I’m prepared for that.” He rested his hand lightly on your shoulder. “I’ve been preparing for a lot of things, actually.” His voice dropped out. Neither of you wanted to point out the two worst case scenarios again. “That was all I needed to say. Keep up the managing thing. You’re good at it… and I couldn’t be prouder of you.” He let you catch him in a tight hug, stroking the top of your head. Then he wrenched himself free and rushed out of your office.

The women’s battle royal was just as dramatic, if not more so, than the guys’. Of the final five, two women took the center of the ring. Zelina Vega, Asuka, and Nikki Cross huddled in corners, waiting to see what would happen. Natalya and Rhonda stared each other down. Not six months ago they were the best of friends, battling for the same goals but with handshakes after every altercation. Now they were cold. Unmoved by each other’s goals or aspirations.
They set to punches and head blows that rocked the ring. Unfortunately, in their haste and determination to eliminate one another, both women ended up landing on the apron after twisting over the ropes. Then the other three women sprang into action. It took all of them to launch the women off onto the floor. Thus, eliminating them both. Then Nikki and Asuka set on knocking each other out of the match. Zelina came bouncing off the ropes, succeeding in twisting Nikki over the top.
Now it was down to two. Zelina rushed not to lose her momentum. Bu Asuka wasn’t going to make it easy. Twice, three times one of them would stumble through the ropes. The Empress of tomorrow did everything she could to take the victory today. They both ended up on the apron. Taking a risk, Zelina jumped and grabbed hold of Asuka’s head, dropping with it. Asuka’s face bounced off the edge, and her body followed. Zelina fell back into the ring, running her hands through her hair. She’d won. After the referee raised her hand, she left the ring and stood by the trophy. Her trophy.

Roman marched down to the ring. He paced from ropes to rope like a caged lion, ignoring the continued mixed welcome from the crowd. When the lights finally dimmed for Dr. M’s entrance, he kneeled in one corner with his back against the turnbuckles. Dr. M grinned and eventually met him, standing toe to toe. Even though Roman towered over him, the trepidation in Roman’s eyes made the doctor smug. And gave him an edge.
Not waiting for the bell, Dr. M rushed forward. He caught Roman unawares, knocking him to the canvas. The rain of punches and kicks didn’t stop until Dr. M stepped back. He laughed. “You aren’t ready to defend yourself. How could you ever think you could keep me from healing the WWE? From healing Y/N?” His smile flickered away as Roman struggled to his feet.
They went at it again. Dr. M still had the upper hand, despite Roman’s mostly effective offense. His prior attacks had created several openings for future hits. Roman’s ribs and throat were easy targets. If he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t fight. And he wouldn’t win. But Dr. M had forgotten one very important thing.
No one messes with his family.
“You know, Roman,” Dr. M said into his ear while controlling him with a headlock, “Y/N really is such a perfect puppet for Hunter and Stephanie. Maybe they won’t mind if Sister Abigail borrows her vessel for a while, hmm. And why not bring Dean into the family too? I’d hate to break them apart again. Though I would have to break through their fevers by any means necessary.”
With a roar, Roman broke free and headbutted Dr. M. The man staggered back, fighting to shake free the blurriness in his vision. By the time it was back, so was Roman with a spear. Dr. M groaned and gasped as Roman walked away and gripped the top rope. The tape whined under his grip, and the referee took several steps back. Dr. M was eventually back on his feet. He dodged the first spear, but the second after Roman bounced off the far ropes. One, two, and three seconds later Dr. M was nowhere close to getting back up. Roman gave him an extra series of kicks to get him out of the ring, then swayed on his feet. He left the arena as the rest of WrestleMania started.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Elias.”
Inside the circle of light, Elias strummed his guitar. The crowd was deathly silent until he finished, then they started the ‘walk with Elias’ chant. He smiled at them. “It’s great to finally be recognized at the greatest concert of them all. Even if the arena is filled with disgusting rabble like you.” He waited for their shift in mood to die down a little before playing his song. It was dedicated to the dirt people of Brooklyn, punctuated with the occasional jab at Drew McIntyre. He was met with thunderous applause as he finished. “Finally. No interruptions.” He strummed to start another song, but he’d spoken too soon.
Soon enough, Drew was in the ring, dark and foreboding. He handed the Intercontinental title to the referee, glaring at Elias while the title match was announced.  Elias only let go of his guitar long enough to get rid of his mic and his scarves. Once the bell rang, the instrument whistled through the air, just barely missing Drew’s head. The champion slid out of the ring to quickly arm himself. Steel chairs, tables, and another guitar hidden in the bell box (after the first one was broken) came into play. The ring was littered with bamboo strips and fractured tables. Still, both men eluded the count.
A third guitar came out from under the ring. “How many guitars does Elias have?” Corey asked, flabbergasted. No matter how many more were hidden under the ring, it was the last one Elias needed. He scaled a turnbuckle and jumped. Drew turned just in time to catch the hit on his shoulder, collapsing as it splintered. Elias pinned him, even with chunks of wood jabbing into his own body. It had taken almost a year, but Elias was finally the Intercontinental champion once again.

It was time to see who won the backstage battle to face Bayley and Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Tag Titles. Renee had kept up with the results better than anyone else. “The last people we saw standing were Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan of the Riott Squad. Right before Roman’s match against Dr. M, they had gotten the jump on Natalya and Rhonda.”
Corey shrugged. “I don’t think any of us really thought that team was going to face the champions. They had quite a moment during the women’s battle royal. And it cost them.”
“But now it’s Boss and Hug time,” Cole said as the champions came down the ramp. The women waited patiently in the ring to see who their opponents were going to be. They bumped each other’s shoulders as the aforementioned team came out to the stage. Sarah and Liv cackled, proud of themselves for having won the moment. They were just about to take a step forward when they were hit from behind. Not waiting for them to get up, Alicia Fox and Mickie James rushed down the ramp. If they could make it to the ring and survive until the bell, the match was theirs. They made it, jumping and hugging one another while Sasha and Bayley stood back and golf-clapped.
The partying didn’t last long. It was time for the match. And it was a showstopper. Alicia and Mickie had years of experience on their side, years of being glossed over, years of waiting to step up only to be stepped over. Sasha and Bayley had the legacy NXT’s four horsewomen behind them and the rebuilt strength of their friendship. They had the championship buffer as well. That helped a lot when Mickie knocked Sasha out of the ring. She was willing to wait for the count, taking her time to roll around, but Alicia raced around the ring and shoved the champion back into the ring. Caught off-guard, Mickie was too busy mocking Bayley to sense the danger behind her.
Bayley ran across the ring to spear Alicia off the apron so Mickie could be pinned. Their titles retained, they stood together, ushering the new era of women’s wrestling.

The guys’ tag match didn’t go as smoothly for the champions. At first, it looked like they had everything under control. Rezar started the match against Sami Zayn. Behind him, Akam shouted what to do, and when to move away from the ropes when it looked like Kevin Owens was about to try something. Eventually, the tags switched and the process was the same. But as the match progressed, battle lines were drawn. Akam took a particularly teasing hit from Sami, who was good at dodging his grasp. Kevin was able to keep up with Rezar and keep him on his toes. The fight extended to ringside, and that’s when things got… broken.
No limbs, thankfully. But things definitely fell apart. Rezar was ringside meeting Owens blow for blow, toss for toss, and was mid-roar after throwing Owens into a barricade when Sami came running by. Akam was quick on his heels, but the champions zigged when they should have zagged. The two massive bodies colliding sent both men flying back the way they came. Sami and Kevin had recovered, and it took both to toss Akam back into the ring. With Rezar still reeling and unable to help, Sami made the pin. The victors met in the center of the ring, falling to their knees and accepting their new tag championship. They met again at the top of the massive ramp and held their titles high.

The last singles match of the night was for the Raw Women’s Championship between Ruby Riott and Alexa Bliss. As hostess, Alexa directed the biggest entrance of the night worthy of her talent, and arguably her ego. Ruby took a simpler entrance. Not that she needed anything bigger. Having the championship around her waist, and then on her shoulder, was stunning enough.
Alexa brought out all the stops. An unspoken goal had been for her team to hold all the Raw women’s titles. But with Mickie and Alicia coming up short, it was up to her to take up the slack. Ruby was similarly in mood. Her tag-mates had been denied their match. If she could retain, the Riott Squad had hope to rise again. Ruby accepted Alexa’s attack, then rerouted it for her own mission. A Twisted Bliss was narrowly avoided, and the stunned Alexa was easy to catch in a submission while Ruby caught her breath. Several more dives from the top ropes happened, but it was a Riot Kick to one of Alexa’s leaps that finished the match. Ruby retained, screaming into the night air with her title in her hands.

Now was the main event.
“This match is a Universal Championship triple-threat match set for one fall. The competitor who is pinned will have to leave the WWE forever.”
Dean nervously looked between Seth and Brock Lesnar. And the title. He bit back the urge to look towards the ramp as if you were there. Backstage, you were just as nervous. Roman was hovering by the tv too, but from a distance, so he could run to the ring as soon as the match was over. Sheamus stood right behind you, holding the hand you had resting on your shoulder.
At the bell, Seth and Dean instantly rushed to attack Lesnar in one swoop. He was laughing before they reached him. With his two large hands, he caught each around the throat. First, Lesnar tossed Seth one way and between the ropes. He threw Dean back towards the center of the ring, then caught him with the first suplex of the match. Seth pulled Dean to the floor and slid in, starting the attack he planned. His quick movements kept confusing the Beast. And they were wearing him down. A well-placed Frog-Splash caught Lesnar in the ribs, but he twisted Seth into a submission. Dean rushed back in to break it up before his brother had to tap out.
Seth remained huddled in the corner, nursing his arm while Dean and Lesnar faced off again. This time Dean was successful in dodging the harder blows and the attempted suplexes. He managed to drop him with a Dirty Deeds and instantly tried for a pin. Which instantly failed. Dean knew he couldn’t let up on the attack, but Lesnar’s low laugh was unnerving.
“I don’t care which one of you I pin,” he chuckled. “It’s all the same to me. No, what will matter after this match, is how your little cousin survives with me as champion.” They both rose to their feet, circling each other. “Maybe I do care. If my reign is going to be a bit more hands-on, I’d rather not have you in the way.” Behind them on the floor, Paul Heyman nodded, grinning ear to ear. Seth heard too and used the ropes to get back to his feet.
Lesnar was flanked on both sides. E wasn’t bothered by that until the timing of brothers kicked in. If he thought keeping up with Rollins or stomping down Ambrose was hard, it was nigh impossible to keep tabs on both. Dean was wildest of the two. The threat was enough to send him boarder-lining on several mistakes. Those close calls got him suplexed across the ring, several of which sent him hurtling to the floor. Still, it distracted the Beast enough from Seth’s darting attacks. Alone, the plan might have worked. With both of them working against Lesnar? It was becoming a sure match.
Then Lesnar fell out of the ring, just as Dean and Seth found themselves on opposite sides of it.
Backstage, you shook your head. “No.” You whispered. “Don’t do it guys.”
They looked at one another, and to where Brock was out of sight. Seth launched half a second before Dean did, catching him in the chest and taking him to the canvas. The referee was just swooping in to count when Seth jolted back. The price came to mind. And it was too high. With another shared look, they rolled through the ropes and set on bringing Lesnar back onto the canvas. With both of them then leaning on his chest, the referee kneeled to count. Dean backed away before he started, watching as all three seconds went by.
The screen erupted with the cheers of the crowd, but you were frozen. Sheamus shook your shoulders. “What’s wrong? They won.”
“If this had been the original contract, Dean would have just given up his career… of his own free will.”
Roman was already gone. You hurried out the door to follow him. By the time you made it to the ramp, Dean was already enveloped in a Roman-sized bear hug. You took over, hugging Dean with all your strength. Seth was still in the ring, showing off his retained Universal title at each ring post. Brock Lesnar and his advocate came up the ramp, both of them panting. Dean’s back was still turned to them. Unaware of the danger. You pushed him and Roman back and stood between them and the advancing party. Lensar paused, amused that you thought he’d give an effort now that he was done with the company. He was long gone by the time Seth caught up.
The brothers in arms shared a victory hug. One that you watched from a distance. You couldn’t hear what they were saying to one another, but that was okay. It wasn’t for you to hear. When the huddle broke, Dean caught you around the shoulders the same way Roman caught his, and they led you backstage.
Seth Rollins looked out over the crowd. A sold-out arena all shouting ‘slay the beast’. Because he had. With the biggest smile on his face in a long time, he lifted the red and gold belt above his head. It was theirs; he’d won it for them. And he’d defend it for them, no matter what it took.
