I want to emphasize the facts that. 1. I do not currently hold anything against Sheetz or Sizhens besides this current thing. I thought clearing my blog of everything and then deleting my explanation post would be enough to signal that, but apparently it is not. So I would like to make that clear. 2. A prominent assertion in the callout is that I still hold feelings for tumblr user Sheetz. I don't. Like, genuinely, I meant 5 years ago. That's kinda done with, I liked her more than she liked me, I was 18 and mentally ill and whatever. 3. Another assertion is that I originally made that post because Sizhens is Taiwanese. That is not the root of this, was never the root of it. The root of it was me assuming that Sheetz would care enough about a callout ~5 years ago that her wife would somehow know about it or have any awareness whatsoever. Which was completely insane of me. Frankly, again, I wanted this to be over with and I genuinely thought that trying to purge it from this blog would signal that. At this point I literally just want the post claiming these things to be deleted, I was more than happy with both of these people mutually blocking me, and I personally think this situation doesn't need to be as public as it is. I was frankly not in the best mental place last month and it took about a day to realize I had been going about my response to this in the worst way possible. Thank you, and I'd really appreciate it if someone could forward this to the people involved that I don't want to deal with this anymore.

full disclosure guys, I wasn’t the BIGGEST fan of London Beckoned when I first listened to afycso, but like the majority of the album it grew on me after the second listen—london beckoned, I constantly thank god, and the only difference are by no means my favorite songs on the album (tbh, they probably are the most forgettable songs if I HAD to choose) but afycso is such a good album overall that even the “worst” songs are insanely good

(although, I genuinely despise I write sins—i legitimately feel as though it is the weakest song on the album, possibly because it is overplayed but also I don’t think it holds up as well as the other songs off the album)

anyway, this wasn’t originally supposed to be patd fanart but the disco ball was too on the nose, so I just added in a lyric that I felt was fitting. which, by the way, this sort of pseudo-alliteration (for lack of a better phrase) appears a LOT in afycso—some more that come to mind: “relax, relapse” “alone in this bed, house and head”

i feel like these pics really kinda illustrate what i meant by “carving the figure out” that I described in the commentary under my build god post—if you ignore the fact that i took the disco ball from a picture of the disco ball i had at my 18th birthday (i didn’t want to draw a disco ball. sue me). ignore the fact that a LOT is missing from this progression, i forgot to record my process

anyway, just to wrap up, i really like the execution on this one!! it’s very similar (but i think slightly better than) my build god piece, so i think this is a good sign of improvement! maybe I’ll make this a series and draw every song off afycso in this style, who knows! just started school again today, so we shall see how much free time i have haha

duster appreciation post

now that i finally got a tumblr blog i can ramble at length about how underappreciated duster is.

not only does he bring a TON of utility to the party at no PK cost at all, he is also super swift and is able to deal a whole turn of damage before the fight even if youre ambushed.

he also has genuinely delightful sprite work and sprite animations. whenever he goes up and down the ladders he wiggles back and forth, his limp is visible in every animation from every angle, and also the little stray hair pixels he's got are very cute.

there's so much more i could say about him -- his stint in DCMC and his time spent with the mr saturns... there's so much about him!! he gets all the fun stuff!!

i just think he is so delightful and underappreciated that i need to gush.

I love that Isabeau is the one to bring up the "what do we do if you die" conversation cause its a very good insight to his character at the very start of the game. Isabeau is practical, smart, and loves everyone dearly and wants to know how to help them when shit goes sideways. He's the one to ask about Bonnie too, which is a delightful read on how he thinks because everyone else shuts that down instantly as a "That wont happen and cant happen" but we see later in the game it can happen which is such a startling thing for a game to do but justifies the foreshadowing of Bonnie can die what do we do if that happens? Isabeau, despite everything, is also the one who gets to the heart of the matter even if its not something must people are willing to talk about. All without it being part of his friendquest, thats just him naturally. Which! Says so much about him and how he is! His character when its not about his relationship with Siffrin is a very intriguing thing because it feels like a very classic hard intellectual stance that's been softened after many years of learning to better communicate healthily with others. A reflection, if you will, of Odile but in a very drastic direction. I find him fascinating and I also want to scoop his brains out and study them under a microscope to see all his little brain thoughts.

I love giving advice, apparently, so if you are a newly pierced person or are planning on being pierced, here are some of the things I found helpful, as somebody who isn't a professional piercer but has had six plus piercings on my face and body, and multiple ear piercings (which I don't count, since I DIY'd them):

Normal bath towels are your enemy, proceed with caution after bathing. NEVER wipe moisture away from a fresh piercing, always pat it dry

You will hit a new piercing and it will hurt. This is inevitable, just know that you likely haven't destroyed it. Feel free to cry, though, it hurts like hell.

If your piercer gives you instructions, heed them. If you're on restrictions, please take it as seriously as possible

When you're going in for a piercing, please eat or drink something - at least what constitutes as a snack for your body. It really helps

If you're getting an oral piercing, make sure you size down after the healing period - I hadn't sized down for my last oral piercing when I first had the chance, and it was... so annoying to have too-large of jewelry

Not all jewelry is made equally. Do your research on materials, threading, and sizing. I've found that titanium jewelry is really nice for me, and I like it, but that isn't the only option. Make sure you think about your body and its needs and preferences

Close your eyes while being pierced (I found this really helps me)

Don't over-clean a new piercing, twice per day is usually a good place to start

The completed healing period is a very average suggestion - you may heal slower or faster. Try to adhere to that suggestion, though, especially if you do not feel you're healed enough

Personally, I have found that I am completely healed when my piercing feels like just another part of my body, even when it is touched. When my piercings start to feel as though they are foreign when they never do before, I know I likely need to clean them

While I have DIY'd piercings, I personally do not recommend it, especially if you are either not using sterilized equipment, or are piercing a very dangerous place (like the tongue). If you are absolutely positive about committing to the DIY mindset, please try to do due diligence in research at least

Tip your piercer. Body mods are a luxury service, and it takes years to even become a piercer, much less to be proficient at it. Tip your piercer, ESPECIALLY if their prices feel too good to be true - they likely are. Unless you are directed otherwise by your piercer, just assume that you will be tipping them for their services and budget accordingly

Make sure you understand how your piercer wants you to take care of your piercing, and ask questions. There is no question too "dumb"

If you are getting a body part pierced you are insecure about, realize your piercer has most likely seen HUNDREDS of different body parts of various sizes, shapes, and oddities. Your body is not uniquely bad, nor would a good piercer make you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable with your body. If they do, however, DO NOT go through with the piercing. You should feel safe being pierced by somebody, and, indeed, that is the bare minimum.

If you use saline wash to clean piercings, you can DIY it. You will go through NeilMed like no other, and with it being $5USD a bottle, that price can rack up quickly. Make sure you use distilled water and non-iodized salt, though

If your piercing is infected, please don't be too ashamed to seek help. It's in your best interest to make sure you don't get ill or your site gets nasty ("nasty" as in painful)

These are just some of the things I've learned being a pierced person! My piercings are something I absolutely needed, and I do not for a minute regret having them. I want that same happiness to befall you, and that happens when you are able to understand a bit more what goes into piercings. You are, essentially, getting a new body part installed by a pro, and so I don't want you to not be ready for that.

Again, I am not a professional piercer, but am rather a body piercing enthusiast with many different types of piercings. I don't have every piercing, though, so please look at this critically for the piercing(s) that you want or have. At least, treat this like a soft suggestion or ways to help you brainstorm what you will find helpful.

More tips are obviously welcomed, especially if you yourself have more insight or expertise. Good luck to every pierced person or future pierced person reading this💛

idk maybe it’s just my occasional haterism for characters and ships with zero nuance but i was just thinking about how incredibly boring paolo’s character is! i wish his death wasn’t the reason for lucrezia and juan’s drift considering how they had a loving and trusting relationship and how ferally overprotective juan was of her before #that incident, like i can't say i didn't feast on the antagonism between lucrezia and juan, especially how she toyed with his fear of her wrath while he threw something witty back at her, but i would've preferred it to stem from something more flavorful and remarkable!! something that makes better sense for her to shun him away forever and never look back no matter how many times he tried to reconcile with her. but instead, their disconnection revolves around the peasant she kept shading because he was illiterate while projecting cesare onto him and wanting him to be something he actually wasn’t?? (similar to how cesare wanted ursula to be lucrezia and then fumed when she took a will of her own lol)

i feel like they chickened out from juan admitting that he acted out because of his incestuous feelings for lucrezia, (which provoke him to be aggressive toward her when she looks at him in disdain while not recognizing that, according to him, he does everything because he genuinely wanted to protect her) since the show only subtly addressed the sibling incest at the time, and neil jordan initially refused to go along with it, that being said, still nothing changes that lucrezia and juan's relationship is profoundly tragic and compelling, and little did they know that people will always yearn for the incestuous siblings' trio, and it took françois, holly (and even david who was shipping cesare x lucrezia + the cesare/lucrezia/juan throuple online) to knock some sense into the showrunner and finally convincing them to explore the incest route for lucrezia and cesare in s3 since it was too late for juan.

sometimes you just wanna gush about your favorite artist and let them know everything you adore about their art

sometimes your favorite artist is your best friend, and now they have no choice but to know about all the good things their art does and how much you adore it

thats me with Doody btw. Ill always remind them how they are my favorite artist and wont believe me.

But thats the truth, and I think more people should shower their favorite artist in compliments to remind them that YES!!! theres people out there who go insane with their art, even small little sketches, that you pay attention to every detail in their work! Even if its incredibly unnoticeable, it shows an artist how much you care for their craft and makes them feel like their work has been appreciated.

Cuz yeah, you can support and artist with all the likes and RBs in the world (please do) but also, replying to the art, commenting things that you love about it, means SOOO much more, even just a simple key word smash bc you just love it so much you cant put it in to words makes a difference.

hey, really appreciate this anon. i'm with you, they definitely could've heightened the sexual tension in the fight scene while staying 'on tone.' for me, it's just frustrating and/or confusing knowing that tomgreg 'won' last night (e.g., in being solidified as a 'forever' pairing), yet nevertheless feeling like there was something else still in the room, holding their chemistry back/preserving grounds for 'projection,' even if subtly.

more than anything, though--why confirm stewy as queer in the finale but not push beyond subtext with tom/greg? why maintain plausible deniability with one ship if you're still choosing to ally yourself with lgbtq+/alienate homophobic audiences with another? not to sound jealous of kenstewy fans (lmao definitely am), it's just too bad, that in choosing to make one queer-affirming concrete judgment call, they didn't take it a step further/make others.

I keep forgetting if I talk about this here even vaguely-mainly next to my awful memory I really use my tumblr like once a week lol-but as my mega man fixation scarily crawls back to me and I find out about more of the media that inspired it I realize I’m definitely more huge on series focused on “human looking robots who develop sentience and how that causes so much conflict for humanity” over “giant humanoid robots who don’t have sentience most of the time and are just a vessel to its pilot even if the machine does bring up conflict one way or another”

But Ryoma fucking Nagare still has to be my favorite character soooo people probably just think I’m a mecha fan anyways next to all robot media overlaps.
