🥩💖 Hello‼️ I’m a 23yo trans dude looking for 18+ writers for some LONG TERM dead dove/super dark fandom roleplays, specifically Invincible, The Boys, and Cookie Run.

I tend to trans some dude’s genders, which is nonnegotiable!

I really want to have gore, cannibalism, eroguro + snuff, and power imbalances in the roleplay, but obviously, I can adjust accordingly (only regular gore is nonnegotiable for me, sorry). Other things I dig are yandere (although I heavily prefer that the characters are both crazy for each other), dubcon and noncon. All can be discussed later.

I am semi to advanced lit, and I would like my partners to be around the same range. Quality over quantity for me! ALSO, it’s okay if it takes weeks or even months for a partner to reply, as I still will be interested even in their absence. I just need a heads up first.

If you don’t care for the roleplay anymore or lost your muse or something else, I would heavily appreciate it if you’d tell me before leaving. Communication is key.

Smut is a must, but don’t let that think that it will be the only thing happening in the roleplay. I LOVE narratively driven stories, and I write my replies as such (roleplaying multiple characters in a scene is second nature to me and I really don’t mind it, so don’t feel too pressured to mirror me there). For the plots I have in mind, most will have several story arcs, and usually an end goal, but this can all be talked about and discussed!

I prefer wacky AUs to canon divergence, as I love worldbuilding and seeing where everyone would fit inside it. Canon divergence isn’t completely off the table though; I just have a preference. I am in LOVE with the concept of cakeverse and I really want to add those types of elements into the rp, though!

OOC chatter is a MUST, though. I LOVE talking about the rp and how it’s going. I may even draw some stuff too if I’m enjoying it a lot (for some pairings here I will draw ideas/concepts if I think it will help get whatever point across). I want to make friends, not just roleplay like it’s a job.

Now, onto the pairings - highlighted characters are the ones I prefer to muse and italicized characters take higher priority than those that aren’t. If they are both highlighted, then I’m comfortable with either or (some of my top/bot dynamics are not fixed, but my dom/sub dynamics are, just a heads up).

I’ve been playing around with the idea/AU of an evil/morally dark grey Mark who is a pure-blooded Viltrumite (Debbie is a Viltrumite here) arriving to Earth for the first time with Nolan and Debbie. He meets and saves William his first week on Earth and.. it goes from there.

•Ok I will admit, this is pretty out of left field. I’m a show only, and I recently found out that Stormfront was originally a guy in the comics. I’m aware that the two medias are VERY different in story, but I’d like to combine bits and pieces of both of them into something weird and new, like this version of the ship, for example.

Cookie Run (Kingdom & Tower of Adventures)

Milk Cookie x Dark Choco Cookie

•This is probably one of the few times where I prefer standard yandere dynamics to knife romance or mutual yandere shenanigans. Milk Cookie being absolutely obsessed with and overprotective of his prince.. he’s chasing after him in the pancake tower, trying to reunite with him, maybe. (Also, I’ve been brainstorming a silly superhero au with them and how Dark Choco was once a hero turned evil due to corruption, and Milk is trying to save him/bring him back by any means necessary).

Based on a few posts against Stancy that I’ve read in passing that last few months, I realized that to ship Stancy, you have actually have to believe Steve and Nancy’s stories as they are being told. Specifically, you have to accept two things: 1) Steve and Nancy have changed and 2) they have shared trauma (Barb’s death), and to complete their arcs, imo, they (specifically Nancy) must dissociate themselves from the shame connected to that trauma. 

Dealing with shame

Yes, Vecna tells Nancy that she killed Barb, but that’s just as ridiculous as him telling Max thinking she was to blame for Billy’s death. Vecna’s not a reliable narrator here. He’s a manipulator and feeds off people’s isolation, secrets, and shame. We saw that most recently in s4 with Chrissy, Fred, Patrick, and Max, who were all struggling with negative self-images based on past trauma.

Nancy once also told Steve that they killed Barb, but again, that makes just as much sense of Max believing that wishing for Billy’s death literally led to his death. None of that is true, but it is reflective of the shame they are both carrying, and both Nancy and Max have pushed their partners away (Steve and Lucas) because that shame has led them to think less of themselves and their relationships. 

Ultimately, Max is not to blame for Billy’s death. Nancy and Steve aren’t to blame for Barb’s death. Both Max and Nancy need to understand that to free themselves of Vecna and move forward (assuming Max gets out of her coma).

Accepting change

This is the hardest part for a lot of viewers online who are against Stancy imo. I’ve seen a lot of posts that have said Steve deserves better than Nancy or Nancy deserves better than Steve based on how they’ve treated each other in the past, which is more fan projection than anything to do with the story being told. Nancy hurt Steve, but he literally thanks her for it, and Nancy got back together with Steve even after his friends publicly slut shame her after thinking she was cheating on him with Jonathan. People may not like that she forgave him after that, or that she forgave Jonathan for the photos, but all of the characters have moved on from those events.

The only thing haunting Steve and Nancy is the baggage left after Barb’s death. Just as Lucas says he didn’t truly see Max or what she was dealing with, neither did Steve in seasons 1 and 2. Steve did not help Nancy in the way she needed it. He wanted to comfort her and keep them safe; she wanted to take action. However, that’s not the dynamic at all now. Nancy leads the charge against Vecna, and Steve follows as support. Steve now leaps into danger every season to protect people he cares about deeply. Steve and Nancy as they are now would function entirely differently than Stancy of season 1 and 2, which is why Steve doesn’t yearn for the relationship as it was but thinks they would work because they have changed. 

People can enjoy Steve in non canon relationships, prefer him in previous seasons as much as they like, or ignore his character development as much as they please, and they can have fun with Nancy in other non-canon relationships or imagine her as feeling differently than what they’ve show onscreen. There are all kinds of ways to engage in media.

But the show’s only obligation is to be consistent in the story it’s telling, not the story other fans are telling themselves based on their own biases, desires, and personal experiences. What the story the show has been telling us so far is that Steve and Nancy is that have changed and that carrying shame and negative self-evaluation based on trauma is detrimental to the traumatized person, their relationships with others, and their growth. That to me makes for an infinitely more interesting story than two people whose feelings never change, who never evolve, who define themselves by the shame they carry, and who can’t see each other for who they’ve grown to be.

Ride or die ship: Hollogrove. Heather and Billy are my bread and butter. Like so much of my stranger things content is them. I just love them healing and growing together.

Most annoying ship: St*ncy. I just hate it. What Nancy did to Steve was kind of something you can’t return from. I have seen the effects of a similar relationship on one of my irl besties and I would never wish it on anyone. I would cry if that ship happened in S5.

3. Second favourite ship: Either Elumax (platonic Elucas) or Eddie x Chrissy x Steve x Jonathan (with Jonathan, Eddie and Steve dating Argyle and Chrissy dating Robin. If someone has a ship name please suggest in the comments). I adore these ships as the developed relationships there are just *chef’s kiss* but the people who haven’t met? Just so much cute potential for love!

4. Favourite platonic dynamic: Stobin is my platonic tea. I adore Steve and Robin and believe whole heartedly that they are disabled besties. Platonic soulmates.

5. Underrated ship: Hollogrove obviously but Cunningway, Cheerscoops, Photocheer, Stargyle, and Murrlexi. Those ships are also so top tier but underrated. There are so many more.

6. Overrated ship: M*leven. Again I hate it. It is so teenage abuse romanticized. And too many people think that it is healthy or OTP. To be honest, Mike is a bit of an ick for me anyway.

7. One thing to change in canon: Destroy any hints or hopes of St*ncy or M*leven or any abusive relationship. Stop the characters putting up with it, to the extent that it is romanticized. Abuse is not good or something to be idealized. And actually include canon disabilities please.

8. One thing canon did right: Making Robin a lesbian and allowing Max and Eleven to have a strong friendship which is not focused on the boys. That trope is so overused so I am glad it was not used.

9. A thing I am proud of creating for the fandom: I am really proud of my Hollogrove stuff because there is so little content for my babies. But some of my work for @disabledbillyandsteveweek is also something I am super proud of and I can’t wait to show people.

10. A character who is perfect to me: Heather Holloway is my queen. Like she is so sweet and caring but obviously has so much depth potential. The Duffers really made a mistake not giving her more screen time. They could have done so much.

11. Most relatable character and why: Robin is the most relatable character for me. Her social awkwardness and passion for certain topics is really relatable to me. We are both band kids, lesbians and we even look fairly alike!

12. Character I hate most and why: Karen. Moral trash who willing flirted and tried to seduce a child her daughters age. She also put down other teenagers simply because she was being petty??? Like she is the adult in this situation. Even though she backed out of meeting Billy, the fact that she ever flirted with him is creepy. If you reversed the genders, the fandom would be freaking out and be like it’s so creepy!! It’s still the same situation?? Of course, it is creepy. Neil Hargrove is a close second.

13. Something I have learned from the fandom: To be more confident in sharing my opinions and work. Before I met a lovely group of people in the fandom I was so scared of being attacked for my preferences in the fandom but they showed me that despite us all not shipping or producing the same thing, we can all still support and respect each other. It really helped my social anxiety around sharing stuff, particularly for this fandom, online.

14. Three tags I seek out on ao3: I don’t actually read much stranger things on ao3 but Hollogrove, Hellcheer, and fantasy au’s are probably my top three for the fandom. I really want to see more fantasy au’s that aren’t just werewolves or vampires. I might actually write one now.

15: A song I strongly associate with otp and/or my favourite character: Pretty Brown Eyes by Cody Simpson for Hollogrove for a YouTube edit I saw. Love that song for them. Love Story by Taylor Swift is a close second.

it's girl's night! at least that's what Haru tells her parents ^^;;

they don't care, especially if Utsuki is staying over after a study session that went on too long. As long as their daughter is doing good in school it's fine

if they're not too tired and don't have class the next day, they'll make/get something sweet to eat, watch a nostalgic movie, maybe do a craft together and chat until the early morning, all as quietly as possible as to not bother anyone past bedtime

Haru isn't all that comfortable with touch, so she actually prefers to sleep in separate beds. it still feels very close tho, as they keep talking (whispering) to each other even after the lights are out, until one of them falls asleep <33

11: Do either try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other still tell?

It depends on how long has passed since the events of the canon story, but mostly yes on Dália's side. I mean she doesn't even let HERSELF acknowledge those feelings...

I interpret Saeran as a system: host Saeran, who Dália is dating and is the one fronting most of the time; suit Saeran, who prefers to keep his distance from her (and vice versa tbh); and Ray, who is also kinda dating Dália but he fronts way less and isn't as present as Saeran, so their relationship is more of a d/s dynamic than that of girlfriend/boyfriend

Being the one that knows her best, host Saeran doesn't hide his feelings at all, and he notices if she tries to do so. It's also with him that she's most comfortable being open with, so note the "if"

Ray tries to hide his feelings bc he's ashamed, but fails. He's usually too flustered and in his own head to notice when Dália hides things from him, tho

Suit hides his feelings AND knows Dália also does, but he doesn't want to pry and just leaves it be. He feels guilty for what happened in the main story, and Dália keeps her distance bc she's too scared to confront her own feelings about it.

I like this one bc it focuses more on the 'secret' part of 'secret relationship', which is just crucial to laz and griff's whole thing

Before lovers, they're confidants. yeah, lazarus is completely obsessed with griffith, but griffith doesn't even like him that much (at least at first) The only reason he kept him around is because Lazarus offered a secrecy no one else could, and would THEN come to form a bond with him based on that trust.

Lazarus is basically the family doctor for the royalty, on top of being very knowledgeable about poisons and a bit of an alchemist (nerd) So his job is to listen to nobles sharing their physical weaknesses and gross secrets and telling them abt each different poison whenever someone feels like doing an assassination. (he never participates and will refuse to even listen to anything related, hes just a "I'm here to share my scientific expertise with my patients; whatever they choose to do with that information is not my business" kinda guy)

basically, he's privy to A LOT of stuff, and has lasted so long in that position bc he takes patient confidentiality REALLY FUCKING SERIOUSLY. and then he sees griffith for the first time ever and decides he'll make an exception for this random twink. lol.

So Griffith is drawn to him as a resource for political games and shit, right? but then, also, Lazarus is someone that Griffith doesn't have to impress. He's already obsessed with him, he's not a noble able to give him land or titles, and he's not a hawk putting his faith in Griffith's dream, so there's no outside pressure for Griffith to maintain his facade.

There's literally nothing Griffith COULD do that Lazarus would blame him for, even if it's outright evil shit. If Griffith is weak or tired or conflicted in front of Lazarus, he'd never tell anyone or think less of griffith, so it's him, and only him, that griff seeks out when he needs help

in short, their bond is based on that trust and secrecy rather than, like, attraction. they're not really lovers, i'd say they're co-conspirators with benefits 😌😌

A buncha headcannons of Ben 10 Reboot!

Lucien Lagrange is a shapeshifting EVO who only escaped due to a french scientist that pitied him and took him away when he was only a toddler. They taught him how to be just like them, and he shape shifted into a small boy to blend in. No one actually notices he's an EVO until you see his eyes.

That's why he wears his red shades all the time so no one would notice it. Only Vin had seen it but he kept it a secret because he promised not to tell.

Zombozo, and almost every villain, is gay for Hex. But Hex had friend zoned them, in which they cried about it in front of a tired Steam Smythe at 3:00 a.m.

The only reason Forever Knight didn't hired Hex but instead his niece was because he knows what Hex is capable of when provoked. And he does not want a raging sorcerer breaking everything he had planned.

Since Ben realized he can bake, you can just imagine him just showing it off in his social media. Then he would do a step by step video on how to bake a cake as delicious as his.

It was pretty easy at first until he would switch into XLR8 to mix it all together on a bowl. Which is the hard part.

When Hex heard that Kevin's dad is a piece of shit, he immediately went to Kevin at great speed and asked, "Where is your father?"

Kevin just answered carelessly thinking it was just nothing.

Till he saw a news about Hex beating the heck out of Kevin's dad outside their house with him yelling curses at his dad. Kevin's reaction to this was-- "Wth?" (ಠ_ಠ).

Grandpa Max also saw this and was shocked to see Hex beating the ever loving muffin out of Kevin's dad. Ben was even more shocked when he watched it.

Fear the magic man with many issues. Don't provoke him or face his rage.

Hex was actually grateful when Ben saved his life. He just didn't want to admit it because he was in denial about it.

Sydney's a girl but they prefer themselves as "he/him & they/them".

Charmcaster's slightly cool with Gwen after Roundabout. But not to the point she'll be "buddies" with her, its kinda like the dynamic between Kevin & Ben.

Billy Billions doesn't trusts anyone because his so called friends only became friends with him because of his money and not actually him and his parents didn't took care of him. Which is why he's super bratty and spoiled, but deep down he's a lonely kid with parents who doesn't bothers about him and only does when he gets in trouble.

Dr. Animo & Hex are the "Daddy Issues Duo" (DID for short).

Zombozo got a playful crush on Vilgax before, now he's got a fully gay crush on Hex.

What's your opinion on Rios and Nick's dynamic? I think MM and Ignacio have chemistry. I wish we got to see them work together and have a healthy family relationship but thats def not what we got. I still wouldn't mind if they had this complicated relationship. What's rly not sitting right with me is the way that Nick is abusive towards Rio and dont even get me started on this sick "love" triangle. Would love to know how you see it?

I think the whole storyline is a stupid mess.

Nick's "Power" He told Beth he was a caddie before he became a councilman. So after 15-20ish years, he hasn't risen higher than that? Councilpeople don't have that much power. If they had played it like Nick had made a lot of connections and simply passed info along to Rio (who also had his own connections), then fine. Still rewriting a lot of canon, but passable. But Nick mysteriously has all this influence. Cool. Where was he when Rio continued to work with the woman who got him busted? Where was he when Rio was "killed" and out of action for months? He obviously doesn't try to hide his connection to Rio (picked him up right in front of the police station, openly visits his bar, attends family functions together), but the show posits none of his political opponents dug up that dirt on him and used it. Please. Rio's (first) Beth-fueled arrest was on the news.

Nick & Rio dynamic It has only been a few episodes of Nick/Rio interaction and the writers are all over the place. The flashback episode made it seem like Nick was the brains and the driver of the criminal enterprise. Young!Rio's reasoning for going along was because......the one gym wouldn't take him back? That's it. So Rio was "forced" into crime by Nick, which is not at all how the character was written previously. Then the stool incident. Rio was needling Nick, so it wasn't like he was fearing retribution. He was shocked when Nick's bodyguard restrained him. But then he just brushes it off when Beth gleefully asks about it. And he doesn't seem upset about it the next time him & Nick interact. They tease each other, but sometimes Nick does actually seem to value his opinion on things.

The "love triangle" I've said since the first spoilers came out that I don't like love triangles. I especially don't like M-F-M love triangles because the woman is ALWAYS written as an object to possess. It's gross. And actually misogynistic. Although you wouldn't know that from fandom's hypocritical reception to this storyline. (psst: they like it because all they care about is Beth being desired by everyone.) And that's how it has played out—gross, misogynistic bullshit that objectifies Beth. Rio is acting like a tween with his first boner. And Nick is acting like a total creep. And for what? Beth never should have trusted someone she met thru Rio. I don't care how "clean" he's supposed to be. He openly admitted to Beth that he knows (at least) that Rio is up to shady stuff. So why did she trust him at all? And she most certainly did until the Secret Service showed up and set her wise. Nick has seen how Beth has ruined Rio's life. One thing that has been consistent with his characterisation is how savvy he is. So why is he getting involved with her at all? Because the writers want this dumb storyline. That's it.

"Family" I was over this brother/cousin nonsense after Nick's first appearance. Why is it a secret? It's not funny. It's not clever. And unless there's a Chinatown twist, it's pointless to keep dragging it out. If their relationship doesn't matter, then don't make it matter. You know? No one is clamoring to figure out Mick & Rio's relationship because "Mick works for Rio" is sufficient. So this is just more unnecessary drama that also shows how little thought the writers put into anything involving Rio. (I & some other haters called it. We've learned more biographical details about Nick in his scant time in the story than Rio in all 4 seasons. Krebs says: MYSTERIOUS!!!)

Additional points: If Nick had to be in politics, having him be a senator who spent a lot of time in D.C. and around the state would have been much smarter. Then the writers have an explanation for why this apparently actually in charge other presence (I wuv u, billy!) hasn't been around for really really really important moments on the show. And it would show a trajectory from caddie to local to state to national politics that is much more believable than "The Great and Powerful Councilman."

The ambiguous family stuff is low key high key stereotyping of Latine families.

The story would have been SO MUCH BETTER if Rio's boss was a woman. I would have preferred non-relative, but once I saw that they cast Marlene Forte as the grandma, I was fully ready to embrace her as the boss (I was stupidly—because I should know better by now—shocked by how they underutilised her). It would have opened up such interesting territory; especially in the face of Beth's continued use of her motherhood as a shield. And it would have been much more unique than this insulting men vs women thing they are doing.

danny loves a toxic relationship, and thus, he doesn’t really have a “compatible” partner, really. as an adaptive and adjusting type of guy in a relationship, he kind of just adapts to situations and partners he has. he’s very bad at being himself (he’s a serial killer), so you can decide whether that’s good or bad.

uh honestly, i pull a LOT from the original scream movie. like, the first scream. billy and stu. their comedy really plays into my portrayal. i also really enjoy using 80s schlocky comedy in my portrayal of danny. i really just wanted him to be more funny than actually threatening. because when he is threatening, it’s a bit more scary. when the jokes fall away, there’s nothing left but danny and the knife. y’know?

danny is very multitalented! he’s a genuinely good photographer, and he has an eye for art. he’s also pretty good with languages, having picked up a bit of french, some italian (this one is just BASIC), and spanish. mostly, i want him to be normal, outside of his killing. it’s that kind of like compartmentalization. it is compartmentalization, i suppose.

AEW Double or Nothing 2021

In which the spirit of WCW is alive in confusing and delightful ways and we are left to parse whether overbooking and extracurriculars are offset by having actually very good wrestling happening at the same time.

- Lessons learned from Revolution on the production side? Maybe just cool it on pyro, though the rappelling adventure in the Stadium Stampede showed some of that now-characteristic 'trust us it'll look better on TV' flair. Hot crowd tends to paper over most woes, and the crowd was pretty hot. My one gripe is that the casino theme is hanging around like yesterday's takeout containers. Nothing wrong with clinging to a theme, I just think it's time for season 2. My suggestion? Under the Sea.

*Pre-Card Serena Deeb (C) v Riho for the NWA Women's Championship (***1/2) - Serena Deeb's star has finally risen. She's a remarkably consistent technician and she can get a match out of anyone at this point. She's working at the level of Mercedes Martinez or Madison Eagles at this point, it's amazing that she was overlooked or considered fit only to be a coach for so long. With the NWA belt she has this new swagger, she's basically everything Tessa Blanchard might bring to the table with none of the downsides (Serena has a lot of friends and seems like a lovely person, even!) - Riho's back and here to stay. Her time in Stardom didn't do much for my evaluation of her, which is that there are many better wrestlers that would be better representatives of the joshi style and she's merely pretty good. - The match was very good. Serena showcased a champion's aggression against a sympathetic Riho, they really work well against each other, Deeb's technical prowess against Riho's flexibility led to a very dynamic finish.

*Main Card Hangman Adam Page v Brian Cage (***1/2) - Here the shenanigans start. Brian Cage is on Team Taz, Team Taz has nothing else much to do tonight, so why wouldn't Team Taz flex their muscles, bait us with HOOK, etc? (Because it would be nice to have some variety in the card in terms of a match where one competitor stands across from another competitor?) - Hangman is (checking notes) yeah, still over as fuck, as befits the Anxious Millennial Cowboy. Cage terrifies me, he's a child's drawing of a body builder. He do be very agile for a man of his immense musculature tho. They match up well, Page is biggish for a flyer, Cage loves to play catch. Nothing much to write home about, other than Hangman's beautiful moonsault to the floor and what was overall a very good curtain jerker. - Okay fine, I am curious about Cage's reluctance to lean on the goons, Starks can't come back soon enough.

The Young Bucks v Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston (***) - I will not be referring to Mox & Eddie as (The) Wild Things because it gives me 'he calls it the wacky line' flashbacks for some reason. - The Bucks have to cheat and abuse Rick Knox's attention span constantly to be on even footing with Mox & Eddie, which is a clever sort of thing that gets washed out by the appearance of LG and Karl Anderson, which again, is cool in a vacuum but was the story of the evening. - Pace was weird - repetitive in eliminating Eddie, then Mox fights back, failed hope spot, Bucks team up, Eddie saves x2/3 in a row. - Mox, unlike Cody (in so many ways,) will probably actually be taking some time off with Renee, which is the kind of thing I would prefer not to know in terms of booking, but they really uh, put him down on the canvas here, and it felt pretty finale-esque.

Casino Battle Royale (n/r, but on the balance pro) - Any changes to the theme of the PPV would likely include changing up the nonsense suit format of these largely joyless slogs. - Obviously anticipating a NJPW talent, or... I dunno, actually -- Lio Rush was a surprise. Got in a quick demonstration of his otherworldly quickness, and you know what, there's probably a fun place for him in AEW. He'll need some friends, of course, feel like Team Taz might fit his temperament. I wonder if he was aware of the Mark Henry news... - Christian does not need to win this kind of match to get a title shot, obviously, but that said it was super lovely to use him to give Jungle Boy the shine. Jungle Boy would be a license to print money if he was even as big as Hangman. - Could register some continued griping about how Penta is not getting his due in AEW but he also literally was dressed as the Joker so I'm low on sympathy on this one particular night.

Anthony Ogogo v Cody Rhodes (*) - I did not like this. It's hard for me to read jingoism as a face move to begin with, and Cody's was egregiously tone deaf and kinda silly yet delivered without a trace of irony because Cody doesn't do irony on purpose, ridiculous neck tattoo aside. - Great argument to be made that Ogogo just isn't experienced enough to be winning matches against Cody. But like, what are we doing here? Cody needs to take some time off, maybe. I thought that's what was happening when he had his mini feud with Penta that really just ended in quick decisive Cody win. I though maybe Cody was being turned when QT and The Factory snapped-- sure, they're a group of impotent player 2s, but Cody is an out of touch elitist with a callous and manipulative streak. Alas, also no. America #1. - Cody is approximately 8 times as tough as Billy Gunn based on his weathering of the one punch man. Match ran a bit long given how little there was to go on. Cody gigged? Quelle surprise. - Cody had the best match on the card like, 3 out of the first 4 AEW events or something, and that was all booking and storytelling. I do hope Cody follows Moxley's lead into a little sabbatical.

Miro (C) v Lance Archer for the TNT Championship (**1/2) - Card's hossiest hoss match, a quick burst reminiscent of a car wreck. Absolutely hit on what it should've hit on but a little slow moving considering it went all of 10 minutes. - I will not complain about Jake the Snake, who I love. And also the gimmick spot, with Miro very astutely yeeting what was definitely a snake in a bag (surely.) back down the tunnel.

Dr Britt Baker, DMD v Hikaru Shida (C) for the AEW Women's Championship (***) - Picked up a lot of steam toward the end but seemed a little toothless (heh) until the last five. - Shida 'deserved' some more time as champion in front of crowds but also it's time to let heel Britt reach her peak, I can't even imagine how obnoxious she can be as the champ, it's going to be great.

Sting & Darby Allin v Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky (***1/2) - Such is the power of STING that I feel like I might be underrating this match... I mean it was an okay match about very simply getting some revenge and the sixty year old man did a very subdued Code Red and a slightly less subdued dive. He's also Sting. They missed an opportunity in calling it the 'Scorpio' Death Drop, but the main takeaway here is you see something like this where it's The Icon and you start to understand why WWE trots out their legends to come out of incredibly still kick ass without bending their knees. - The difference, I guess, is that Sting is absolutely being used to build up Darby Allin, whereas it's not like the fed brought back Goldberg and his attendant aura to pump up... anyone but Goldberg?

Kenny Omega (C) v PAC v Orange Cassidy for the AEW World Championship (****) - Off the top I have to say I'm very sad that the rest of the Galaxy's Greatest Friends were seen only very briefly, nice of them to bring OC's backpack. - Also have to point out that PAC's promo featured one of my favourite jokes, that Kenny must be short for Kenneth as a sort of legal/birth name belonging to a professional wrestler. (See also: Samoa Joseph) - And Mr Cassidy certainly did try in this match, ragdoll sells and all. Kenneth and PAC are absurd talents who bring aerial, power and technical maneuvers in equal measure and OC is not doing any of those on the same level, but he picked his spots, showed his genre savvy and hung in there to the point that he wasn't just the fall guy. - The extracurriculars continue in a match that was already a little overboard for silliness due to asymmetry... I think if you're the Invisible Hand it would've made sense to save up all your tricks for this match, but who am I to question the golden goose? - Sure, Kenny and Don ran the classic heel manager interference spot and taking out the ref in desperation spot but having to take out the ref because PAC wouldn't break the hold is fun, as is the stupid/inspired sense in running the 'smash opponent with the belt' spot four times so as none of your heavy gold prizes feel left out. (I love that AAA Mega Championship, they weren't on TV so we get to see it?) - "Fuck You, Don," indeed.

The Inner Circle v The Pinnacle in 'Stadium Stampede II' (***1/2) - This one had to grow on me for two reasons, first that it's usually pretty unforgivable to co-opt the main event spot from the championship match, and second to law of diminishing returns on dumb gimmick matches. - But grow it did. There's a full on meat locker? Commentary will refer to a cardboard cut-out of Shahid Khan as Tony Khan's father (that's canon now,) and Jericho will lovingly pat it? Konnan happened to be the DJ at whatever night club there is a Jaguar Stadium? Spears surrounds himself dramatically with chairs and his hoisted by his own petard? - Ultimately it comes down to letting Sammy shine. His involvement with the Inner Circle has sometimes come at the cost of being able to showcase that prior to AEW he was an ascendant talent in PWG, on his way to Ricochet level feats of acrobatic excess. Still feel like Sammy could've/should've been the one tossed off the cage a few weeks ago, but even better is being the guy getting the pin in the ring.

I'd say my favorite tropes have to do with heat cycle (the alpha helping the omega through it), hierarchy in the society which may be super interesting to explore (maybe even slavery/prostitution), and a lot more! 

Anything else that you would like to mention or say?: I have to disclose that I'm a bit new in the omegaverse community (but not in the rpc, cause I've been rping for like 13 years now). I've roleplayed only a couple of plots that were omegaverse and mostly read fanfiction so please be patient if I don't know about some "niche" dynamics or terms.  The MOST IMPORTANT THING, however, is that I don't want this plot to be only about smut and sex and the dirty deeds. What I love about omegaverse is the potential for developing really interesting relationships between muses, how dark it can get, and the infinite possibilities for worldbuilding, so let's do a lot of that. Smut will come, of course, given the nature of this au, but let's not focus solely on it.  Ultimately, I love dynamics that are more than "submissive omega" and "dominant alpha" cause it wouldn't really fit with how characters are in canon. So give me uncommon dynamics such as an aggressive omega and a soft alpha, or that omega which looks a lot like an alpha and the alpha that looks like an omega but are the opposite of it, etc. Let's make things spicy!

Why I like them

max was definitely a breath of fresh air in S2 because even with wonderful characters like joyce, nancy, and jane, ST can still feel like a boys’ club sometimes. she fulfills the tomboy archetype that is often done really poorly (i’m not like other girls) and she does it in such a satisfying way. it makes younger me’s heart full. narratively, she’s awesome because she’s this loner kid who, like, eventually persistently sticks with the weirdos bc they were nice to her one time and she even stands up to billy because he was threatening her new weird friends!!! i <3 her

Why I don’t

this actually isn’t her fault at all but at a writing level i didn’t vibe with the way lumax was fighting in season 3 (which anybody who’s read my fic Shrike might be surprised to hear; this is why I rationalize it in-story). i’m not a big fan of the bumbling bf/gf who’s always right trope (which also happened with! jancy! and mileven! why!!!) bc it honestly feels lowkey misogynistic in ways that i can’t explain without a 10 page essay. and lucas is smart! and he knows that being honest with max is what works best bc that’s what he eventually did in S2, so where did “boyfriends lie all the time” come from?? if there was anyone who got as shortchanged as much as will did in S3 it was lucas.

again, none of that is max’s fault. she’s wonderful.

S2E9 “The Gate,” which is where she 1.) stands up to billy, stabs a needle in his neck, threatens him with The Bat and 2.) drives a fucking car. I can’t drive a fucking car. she’s like 2 years old here and she’s driving a fucking car. i can’t get over it. she’s so cool.

hahaaaaaa this is hard but I do think I prefer max in season 2 because she was so new and it was so exciting. she’s also just allowed to look less femme in the fall for some reason and I can’t wait to get back to that (even tho I love her summer look too).

A wish

all I want for everyone in this show is for them to be queer

since she started out as a skeptic, and even keeps a few of those tendencies in S3 (specifically when she doesn’t want to believe that billy is flayed) I think it would be cool to see her leading the charge a little more. i liked watching max and jane put together the pieces about billy and heather in S3, so more of that—especially her striking up a platonic dynamic with dustin that we haven’t gotten to see yet, would be!!!! probably really cool!!!!

actually i'm back on my stranger things bullshit sorry

i'm in need of someone who's willing to work on a multimuse omegaverse plot again, this time specifically about the town of hawkins as a pack a few years in the future where everyone's grown up. we can set up an au or it can still be canon-esque, we can play a bunch of characters with different ships and dynamics, poly ships and single ships, the whole shebang, off the top of my head, here are some ships i'd like to include (ones in bold are the characters i would prefer to play, i'm pretty flexible with dynamics but if i put the dynamic by their name i would heavily prefer to write them as that dynamic):

steve / billy (who could sort of be in a poly ship with tommy / carol)

alpha robin / heather

alpha nancy / jonathan

joyce / hopper

polyamorous party (i would prefer to play alpha max, dustin, and will)

that's quite a few characters, but we won't be focusing on all of them all the time - i just want to do some worldbuilding and i find i always do my best work when we're dealing with lots of characters. we can discuss who plays what dynamic for each ship outside of the alphas i pointed out, and we can let the plot develop as we go! i'll set up a very detailed server on discord that should make the whole thing a lot easier for us to navigate. if you're interested, leave a like or message me!
