that rose of versailles remake looks utterly lifeless and it's like. are people unable to watch any anime made before 2010. is that the problem. if it doesn't look like demon slayer or chainsaw man are people just unable to watch it. hate it here

i dont think a manga getting an anime is an indication of how good the manga is, especially when a lot of the adaptations turn out to be shitty anyways, but i see some of the series that keep getting new seasons or remakes and im like. how

constantly reminded that majority of people will look at older animation/3d models and immediately deem it ugly & unwatchable while it doesnt even register to me. i'll see old 3d animations and just straight up accept thats how they look, it can even be charming to me idk it just ends up feeling stale in a way when everyone demands hyper realistic graphics & lifelike animations for everything. wheres the fun in everything being the same

This day (Feb. 29th) is only "visible" every 4 years. So it was fitting that I finally saw The Invisible Man (1933).
I think I have found my new villain obsession!
(And the special effects are just as amazing now as they must have been back then!)
I had to see it with an invisible friend of course 🥸
I'm gonna have it as a tradition now, and watch this movie every leap day (feb. 29th) and if I can't make it on the exact day then at least watch it once every leap year!
Happy last bit of visibility of the "invisible day"! I hope it was alright!
Let's see if we can make it to the next time this day will be visible (in 2028)❤ 🥳

thinking about the death of originality in media in the west. thinking about this coiciding with anime becoming extremely popular. thinking about how hollywood and netflix and amazon are all convinced that people are mindless drones consuming the same boring shit endlessly but theyre Wrong because people are actively seeking out original ideas from half way across the world.
