And when I mean that, I don’t mean “oh haha, look, man dressed up as a woman funny.” I mean “this is the only way he can truly express himself without being A. Publicly Ridiculed or B. Shot on site

The 20s were a wild time man.

How Nick/Elise gets away with it? Still a mystery to this day.

Probably something to do with everyone being hella drunk most of the time

Also bc— she’s just a riot.

He’s…a little oblivious to most of the shit that happens

How he doesn’t noticed Nick was Elise all along or when/why Nick sneaks out is baffling. I couldn’t answer you if I tried.

But we need to cut him some slack

All of this was an exchange for sneaking her into one of Gatsby’s parties.
