19. They get stuck in an elevator. How does everyone react?
Florian would be the one to press the help button,
Shadow climbs up and out the little door at the top, forgetting about everyone else.
Kai is trying to help people, but rarely anyone needs his help.
Wraith follows suit after Shadow.
Bluenix probably calls Ollie to pass the time until help got there.
Handler Blue is trying desperately to keep up with Shadow, but is failing miserably.
Handler Ellie is standing off to the side, burying her head in her hands.
Typhoon is probably trying to pull Wraith back into the elevator to annoy her and get back for the hair dye prank.

Ask game for Chase?
The pupper ever!! Also two other people asked for Chase while I was already working on it XD I'm sorry it's taking me literally days to get them all done, I'm having trouble to think properly on what to say for some stuff in these
My first impression - I'm not tanking this. His car is blue and white, he's a cop and HIS NAME IS CHASE. HMMMM WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE, OH I WONDER--
My impression now - He's precious. No, really. A+ for effort in everything he does but he should learn to relax a little more, just a liiiiiiiittle more
Favorite thing about that character - He's always willing to try new things out of his comfort zone and he always gives it his best, plus his loyalty levels are off the charts
Least favorite thing - He's too much of a people pleaser Istg-- Chase, sweetheart, you're supposed to be a figure of authority XD And this will sound like a dumb thing to dislike but I dislike the fact he's a German Shepherd. I think it's too obvious a breed for police dogs and he doesn't LOOK like one at all for me. When I first saw him without his gear, I was like "Wait is he a Belgian Malinois??? Omg please yes that would be cool to not have a German Shepherd as a Police Dog for ONCE" but yeah my dreams were crushed quickly on my first Google Search on him
Favorite line/scene - It's not specifically the line, but mostly the scene: Have you EVER seen Chase refuse a job or go against Ryder???
I know he ended up changing his mind after that talk with Ryder, but IN THIS MOMENT, he stood his ground and said NO. It's even in his body language: His ears are slightly back, his expression is serious like "don't even try arguing with me on this", his tail isn't relaxed, his paw stomping on the floor to make his point. Notice his frown even deepens as the elevator door closes just before it goes down. This is SO IMPORTANT to me you have no idea, especially considering how much of a people pleaser Chase is and how he holds Ryder as the most important person in his life. We know Chase would do anything for Ryder. But at this exact moment? He was decided to NOT do something for Ryder. This is such a powerful, yet overlooked and underrated scene, as well as character development. It encapsulates perfectly how there's so much more to Chase than any of us knew so far.
Favorite interaction that character has with another - Mighty Movie Skase moment #2 (I think? I counted at least 4 big moments) when Chase goes to check on Skye when she was sulking on the back of the Aircraft Carrier. Her problems there are totally out of his league, he literally cannot relate to anything she's currently going or went through in the past- still he tries to show support the only way he can at the moment, by being there for her, by listening to her. He's a keeper, Skye, go for it XD
A character that I wish that character would interact with more - Marshall and Zuma. They used to play a lot before, but now...? I'm still at the 8th season and I'm seriously missing those fun and slice of life moments
Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character - Leonardo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, specifically 2012 series
A headcanon about that character - I think Chase was one of those kind of puppies who just didn't know when to fucking STOP. 24/7 playful baby. Also a natural explorer, always sniffing everything, licking everything, maybe biting, touching, scratching, growling, barking at anything new for a while. Ever curious, always being the puppy to go ahead of the others, "exploring the waters to open the way and make sure it's safe for the others to come after him". On a second note, I've seen one too many people returning adopted puppies for this reason here where I live, because "they're a handful and I wasn't expecting this" 🤦🏽♀️
A song that reminds of that character - "Nothing Can Stop Me Now"
An unpopular opinion about that character - Idk why all the hate, even if you're ACAB, it's not like Chase even does a cop job at all XD Have you seen him arresting someone outside from movie verse? If anything, you'd WANT your cops to be like him LMAO
Favorite picture - Y'know how in the first movie Chase was in absolute awe when he saw his new car for the very first time? YEAH, like, he KNOWS Ryder designs and gets them crazy cool stuff, and it doesn't stop him from getting UTTERLY AMAZED every time. Tbh I had the same reaction as them all when I saw that sick af Mustang-looking police cruiser like HOLY SHIT YOU GET THE COOLEST TOYS-- AND YOU GET TO CATAPULT THEM DOWN THE HOT WHEELS RAMP AT TOP SPEED TOO??? Win for life.

Hi! With the bnha boys, who do you think are the most likely to bite their alpha? Maybe for jealousy or just because they like seeing the marks on the skin
Hope you have a good day! 💕
These boys will bite for any and all reasons, including no reason at all. Is their head resting on your shoulder? Bite. Are they feeling bratty or lonely? Bite. Are they horny? Bite. Are they bored? Bite.
Kaminari - He bites a lot. When he's shy, he nuzzles into your neck and bites, when he's playful, he picks up your hand and bites it while laughing, when he can't focus on work, he leans over and bites whatever part of you he can reach. It's one of his love languages, I swear XD
Dabi - He bites a lot too, but roughly, and he expects you to give it back just as hard. It normally has sexually charged undertones, but it isn't always explicitly so. He bites you when you walk past him, he bites in bed a lot, he bites whenever your flesh is near his mouth lol. And you better bite him back or he'll be disappointed.
Shigaraki - He bites in a bratty way, and he gets bratty a lot. He likes to sit on your lap and if you suggest he gets off so you can get up, he bites you. If he's frustrated over a game, he bites. He basically uses biting you to stop himself dusting his possessions all the time. He does not like being bitten back!
mild n-sfw under the cut
These boys will bite in bed. You, the blankets, themselves... something is going in their mouth. They love seeing the bites on themselves and their alphas.
Tamaki - He has to otherwise he's so loud that his neighbours will complain and also never look him in the eye again.
Bakugou - He bites less than the other two people in this section, but he's a physically sensitive person, so when he feels good, he does tend to bite. It's about 50% swearing chance, 50% biting chance when he feels good.
Aizawa - To put it bluntly, he likes it rough. And biting into stuff just elevates the experience.
These boys only bite under very specific circumstances. Only if they're jealous or feeling very playful.
Midoriya - He will sometimes bite if he feels jealous, (or when he's drunk), but he always feels so embarrassed afterwards and apologises x100 and says he doesn't know what came over him!
Mic - He playfully bites, mostly when there's some innuendo or if you're wearing something nice. He also fake bites and growls because he's dramatic like that.
Monoma - He is a big brat, but he only bites on occasion. He's weird though, he bites when he's feeling vulnerable. If you're cuddling together in bed and the conversation gets a bit too sincere, he bites you so he doesn't have to talk because some topics are hard for him.
Bitey boys, these boys are not.
Kirishima -His teeth are so sharp and he's not interested in harming you, so he keeps them to himself.
Todoroki - It genuinely doesn't enter his brain that this is something someone can do outside of biting someone to hurt them. When he finds out other people bite within relationships he's supportive but confused. It's not for him.
Mirio - Why would he bite??? When he can kISS??? 😚😚😚

I have crawled out of my mole whole to humbly ask you
but what type of southern accent do you think Twilight has? 🤔
hello thank you for coming out of your mole hole, have a treat :3
uuuuh well so im like Midwest Supreme so my interp for his accent comes from like podunk midwest backwater nowhere XD we're talking towns built around grain elevators where theres more cows than people and you can get snowed in for days if you dont live on a snow route
but usually the Default Southern accent i write for OCs is either like Appalachia or gater rasslin loosianna XD
depends on if i want cowboy or chewing tobacco yknow
i think twi just bc of the goats and pumpkins is probably somewhere in the wyoming or northern colorado range of That Peach in Levis cowboy. like modern twi wears a duck coat and chews on toothpicks and has a stetson hat. or when hes doing ranch work hes wearing coveralls but has the sleeves tied around his waist and a carhartt shirt underneath. and you know his carhartts are just destroyed and patched over and over in the ass. he gives fresh goat milk to the farm cats and the dogs follow him *everywhere*. hes riding draft horses recreationally. epona might be a perchie
imo a lot of people write a Tennessee twi but mostly like knoxville. maybe arkansas? not quite In the Swamp south for a lot of them but more like Mountain South. but not mountain enough to be the kind that sets bear traps for cops yknow. just mountain enough to have anarchist leanings.
#im sorry this was so long#and thorough#i love twi sm#and i love talking dialects and accents#so fascinating how local language forms#somer answers#love me a cowboy in jeans#save a horse and all that#fr tho we know twis got Dat Ass#i think wars has one too#times got a hank hill ass#mans got longback#dumptruck malon#linked universe#lu twilight#writing accents

Hii, I just wanted to tell you that I really loovee your work 😍, 'finders keepers' somehow managed to make me root for riddledore even though I'm a die hard grindeldore shipper😅
I adore how you characterise everyone and (sorry if you already got this ask before) wanted to ask how you see Percival und Kendra Dumbledores dynamic, not only as parents but also as lovers
(sorry if there are any mistakes,I'm not a native speaker)
Hey ❤️☺️
I'm always so happy to share with Finders readers! It's my baby but it's so niche i'm not sure half the time anyone is actually reading it ahaha
My view of the Dumbledore's is a bit grim tbh.
I HC Kendra seduced pure blood heir Percival hoping to elevate herself in magical society (i see her extremely ambitious and a bit cold and ruthless like her eldest son ahah)
Percival I see him like a hothead man with a bit of a rebelious streek. He fall hard for her and marry her on a whim.
Thing didnt turned out good for them and Percival's family shun him away and they find themselves poor and having to work hard to raise their kids. Kendra was probably preg with Albus before they even married ahaha
Percival, like most rich people didnt adjust well to poverty and became a bit bitter and drank a lot to forget about it. Kendra was bitter too I guess but she pushed all her ambition on Albus so she dealed with it better.
Still I think they did love each other at the end but in a cold a bit distant way. I mean they are children of Victorian era xD
That's why Albus believe hard in love even if it's tough and cruel love. 🤔

Literature Reading and Discussion #2
(These are informal readings, take aways and just thoughts I have on interesting articles that I think were worth sharing. My comments are developed AS I read them, cause I always talk to myself and the article while I read them. This is just literally how I annotate literature papers, so read it like a live blog of sorts; people are welcome to read and discuss and comment)
Article: The Neurobiology of Infant Attachment-Trauma and Disruption of Parent–Infant Interactions
"The focus of the present manuscript is to review the current literature on infant trauma within attachment, with an emphasis on animal research to define mechanisms and translate developmental child research. [....] Through rodent neurobehavioral literature we discuss the important role of repeated elevations in stress hormone corticosterone (CORT) in infancy, especially if paired with the mother (not when pups are alone) as targeting the amygdala and causal in infant pathology."
Just putting a focus on this and emphasis on the context that this is a review based on rodent studies. Rodent studies are actually really helpful and have been pretty foundational in a lot of psychology so its not to undermine it, but important to keep in mind.
... Jesus though I do love how the introduction cites like 8000 articles supporting the main claims. I do like that. Oh hey I actually know one of the professors / researchers in the list referenced in the introduction. She was a great professor XD
"Notably, there is typically a social context to this early-life fear and anxiety, observable through excessive fear of strangers, novel environments, and distress upon separation from caregivers (i.e., Separation Anxiety) and this is damaging enough to disrupt typical, daily childhood experiences"
You know, its not a NEW thought to me, but it does make me think of the potential cascading affect that this alone could cause. A lot of early childhood brain development is heavily based on the ability to explore diverse stimuli and give the brain a lot of material to work with to learn more and basically become an efficient guide to navigating the world. Ignoring any other neurobiological mechanisms, if a child has excessive fear and avoids new activities and opportunities, the overall development of many skills and regions of the brain that might be dependent on that input to develop "typically" would likely be hindered compared to peers that don't have that issue.
"While some may suggest that parent–infant attachment is unique to humans, John Bowlby, the father of Attachment Theory, was strongly influenced by animal research on attachment. Bowlby’s discussions with animal researchers, specifically with ethologists studying rodents, non-human primates, and avian imprinting (Lorenz, 1958; Harlow and Zimmermann, 1959; Hess, 1959; Kovach and Hess, 1963; Seay and Harlow, 1965; Hinde and Spencer-Booth, 1971; Suomi et al., 1971; Lorenz et al., 1982; Hinde, 2005; van der Horst et al., 2008), led him to postulate that attachment is phylogenetically preserved across species, further supporting the usefulness of cross-species research to inform the understanding of child development."
Ah yes the classic "humans are special!!!!" idea that some people really do have.
"For example, imprinting research showed that the critical feature of attachment learning was not based on a specific parental care behavior, but rather through simple movement of the infant’s attachment target (Hess, 1959)."
I think I might have to skim that article to understand more of what theyre saying here. LETS GO ON A READING TANGENT. This one Ill keep a little more casual because its really old literature + I have to manually retype things I want to comment on + its not the focus, I just need context on that but DETOUR to Imprinting in Birds (Hess, 1959).
"Such limited 'critical periods' during which the animal is extremely susceptible to theeffects of certain kinds of experiences, have never been found in cases of association learning. This is apparently one reason why some researchers have resisted the idea of critical periods in imprinting. [...] if experimentation on imprinting is carried out with animals who are beyond the critical age period, then only assocaition learning, and not true imprinting, is possible. This fact has not been fully recognized by experimenters who believe that imprinting and association learning are the same process."
I find this just an incredibly interesting thing to reference and look at because critical periods are now EXTREMELY well supported and extremely foundational in developmental psychology / developmental psychopathology and to hear that there was a notable resistance against them because of a lack of findings in "cases of association learning" specifically is honestly such a funny and great example as to why its not a good idea to write off a possibility / concept based on one specific type / perspective / field of research. Cause yeah, I can believe there wasn't any signs of critical periods in association learning, but there ARE in developmental psychology and developmental neurobiology. Its also a great discussion and commentary on how bias impacts research.
There is another striking difference between imprinting and association learning. In association learning, pain- ful or aversive stimulation causes animals to avoid association with the object connected with the painful stimulation, but the opposite is the case in imprinting. If a young duckling is being imprinted to a human being who steps on its toes, the duckling does not run away from the careless human being in fear; on the contrary, it stays even closer. This observation led us to conclude that the enhancing effect of such painful experience on the degree to which the animal imprints represents a basic difference between imprinting and association learning.
[...] he found that hatchlings first exposed to him would not form an attachment to their own mother. In association learning, whatever has been most recently learned has greater influence on an animal's behavior, while in imprinting, the object to which the animal is exposed first is the one to which it is most strongly attached.
Just a neat passage on key features of imprinting.
While we now consider food imprinting and social imprinting in birds to be highly similar, we do not expect to find them alike in all respects, for they are related to two very different vital functions-social cohesiveness, necessary for the survival of a social species, and ingestion of nutritious ma terial, necessary for the survival of the individual. Further research will indicate which properties of these learning processes are basic to both and, therefore, characteristic of the imprinting mechanism in general.
Just another neat passage.
Anyways, detour over, it seems to just be commenting on how attachment seems to be affected and the specific quality doesn't impact imprinting as much as 'being a moving object' in the vicinity of the chick during a critical period matters. Which I probably would have understood if I continued reading rather than going on a tangent but WHATEVER. It was a nice read
"Furthermore, even though there is a biological predisposition for attachment to bird-like objects, the moving object did not need to approximate a caregiving behavior, and the moving object could be almost any object (i.e., box, another species) to support attachment learning in the chick. Moreover, most surprisingly, during this sensitive period of imprinting, shocking chicks actually produced an attachment to the moving attachment figure (Hess, 1964; Sullivan, 2012), further illustrating that attachment forms regardless of the quality of caregiving, including in the experience of pain."
This was literally the part right after it. Listen, I'm too used to reading people who don't summarize or explain the literature when they cite it ok. I forgot this was a proper paper
"Specifically, research supports that secure attachment to caregivers provides a safe haven which can shield a child from the negative implications of increased stress and prevent it from compromising functioning, but infant attachment associated with a maltreating caregiver is associated with reduced social buffering (Cicchetti and Toth, 1995; Gunnar and Fisher, 2006; Fries et al., 2008; Evans and Porter, 2009; Pechtel and Pizzagalli, 2011; Gunnar et al., 2015; Hanson et al., 2015; McLaughlin et al., 2015; Sanchez et al., 2015; Drury et al., 2016; Koss et al., 2016; Howell et al., 2017; Raineki et al., 2019; Opendak et al., 2020; Perry et al., 2020; Shakiba and Raby, 2021; Smith and Pollak, 2021). In other words, one reason for high stress in infancy is due to infants’ experiencing trauma, but it is also due to the infants’ inability to use the parent to socially buffer their stress response—both of which can produce high levels of stress hormones during infancy."
I think this is the best description / explanation of how 'its not necessarily the trauma that happened to a child that determines the impact as much as the ability to have support from their peers and caregivers that determines the impact of trauma.
In summary, within typical development across species, the presence of the caregiver reduces infants’ response to trauma by reducing the stress hormone release. Animal research suggests that the mother blocks the release of stress hormones by blocking activation of the HPA axis and depriving the amygdala of an age-specific dependence on the stress hormone CORT. CORT is required to engage plasticity mechanisms within the amygdala during the transitional sensitive period (see Figure 3), with the mother blocking its release, thus blocking the response to trauma, and learning about the trauma. The evolutionary significance of this maternal blockade of trauma-induced stress release and its blockade of responsiveness to trauma may be to protect the infant brain from the disruptive effect of stress hormones in early life
Just sharing this bit. TLDR; parental bonds serve a buffering role in early development to reduce the cortisol stress response and helps in preventing the stress response from having long run effects on the infant
The child development literature suggests that the parent–infant social buffering system is degraded with repeated trauma-parent associations, which can occur in maltreatment (Nachmias et al., 1996; Gunnar and Donzella, 2002; Gunnar, 2003; Loman and Gunnar, 2010; Tottenham et al., 2010), and has been replicated in both rodent and non-human primates [...] To better understand how the quality of caregiving can alter the infant’s neurobehavioral response to trauma, we again can look to research on rodents. As illustrated in Figure 4 early-life adversity, if it occurs in the presence of the attachment figure, disrupts neurobehavioral development equivalent to maltreatment (amygdala, hippocampus), while early-life adversity when the rat pup is alone has less impact (only hippocampus).
And aye there's the rub.
Honestly there is probably more I could say on this but Imma be real with you I got sleepy AF half way through this so you get what my half awake brain puts out. Imma nap /hj /maybe serious /we will see

I love the titles of you WIP... I feel there is a certain... common name (all my FF16, or almost all, are about the same person as well XD).
I am curious about this one : The Captain and the Soldier. To be honest I am curious about a lot of them but this title striked me the most.
(From this post)
Oh thank you!! Well, all my wips are pretty much about Steve Rogers in one way or another!
I don't know if you have watched any of the marvel films or know much about the character, but The Captain and the Soldier is set in the movie Captain America : The Winter Soldier.
The 'Soldier' part of the title references a friend of Steve's who has been turned into a fighting machine for an evil group, Hydra. In the movie Steve manages to expose Hydra's evil plot and break through his friend Bucky's brainwashing.
But the idea of this fic that Steve actually gets captured by Hydra during an early fight in an elevator. So instead of being able to stop Hydra Steve also gets turned into a brainwashed fighting machine (the Captain) for Hydra, and because he isn't there to fight them, Hydra's evil plot succeeds and they take over the United States.
Most of the fic will focus on Steve and his friend slowly being able to regain their humanity and join back up with the people still resisting Hydra—who think Steve is dead.
I've already written a recovery fic for Steve's friend before, and I'm very excited about writing the same type of recovery for Steve. The idea promises a lot of angst, but also comfort as they finally get treated right by the resistance (the Avengers) after escaping Hydra.
#asks#sorry if you know Marvel and I over-explained#but I wasn't sure and wanted to make sure it made sense!#The Captain and the Soldier#my fics

Ruin is one of Cassie's worst days. She got a chip implanted in her brain, got lured, tricked, got lied to and got betrayed. She almost died multiple times and objects constantly fell or crashed at her or near her.
The vents she was in broke down.
When she walked the stairs up, something fell past her.
When she climbs the ladders something falls past her.
The go kart drives straight at her.
When running away from chica a huge piece of rock or something falls behind her, almost crushing her (or chica) in the process.
The elevator she is in drops.
And the animatronics tried killing her even though she didn't even do anything to them.
The huge cupcake pushed her.
Monty pushed her into dirty water in the sewerage.
And Roxy scared the shit out of her when grabbing her arm and by simply mistaking her as Gregory.
That girl had a lot of bad luck that day.
Why is every Fnaf character doomed?
Well, that's the point and that's why we all get to cook with the characters, right?
I swear, if I were her, I'd be angry too. Though revenge? Hm... Maybe. Though, I'm not sure if I would. Especially if I did all of this for my best friend.
I do find the idea intriguing and I can see her seeking revenge (or at least an explanation, which is what I would be seeking), and even though most people hope for that - I personally don't. I'm a sucker for happy endings - which fnaf usually never has. So, I prefer the happiest ending that I can get. So, even though she'd most likely end up becoming “the next vanny”, I prefer thinking that everything's “just a misunderstanding” and will get resolved. At least until it's proven and shown otherwise :)
I don't really mind the path that the story and plot is going (mostly because I'm not as “hardcore” as other fans), so I respect that others are frustrated and complain. Don't worry. I'll support those fans nonetheless. They have a good point and theorize and think deeper about things than I do and I definitely admire and respect that! Not sure if I should tag anyone though - in case they'd be uncomfortable? I'm just using my creativity and create my own “happy endings”, while enjoying the drama and mysteries that happen in the actual games and franchise.
Why did this become so long? I only wanted to talk about how unlucky Cassie is- my bad- sorry y'all. Hope you didn't mind reading all this Xd

Espresso Yourself Full CC
I love hot drinks while reading my favorite novels, so why not make it into a cozy business? Where all introverts bundle up together to create a fantasy in their minds and put it into story books. This lot is my inner introvert design came into fruition xD.
The floor plan is pretty much simple, I don't really like to burden employees with heavy cleaning haha.
Cafe Interiors is filled with Jacky93sims goodness (Donuts and pastries), most of them are self-service so, it's pretty much fun:
Library Interiors is pretty simple, discussions table and bunch of Parsimonious bookcases. I want to recommend this mod to create functional library. But you cant study life skills from AL so I am not recommend it.
I also love reading in a park, and eating street food and webnovel is a match made in heaven. So this is just a small part of that indulgence.
This computer room is where you can write articles or papers or just chat in the community.
Finally, a room where you can watch documentaries, novel inspired channel and many more, accompanied with Jack93sims popcorn maker.
Bonus room is upstairs using elevator, however it mostly for witches in training. You can stay here as long as you can until your witch level reach maximum.
I have tested the lot so for it's fun to play, people eating popcorn while watching Tv and many more. I originally want to make it residential business to make the computer room functional but, the bills goes through the roof. Haha, So yeah if you want you cant change it using cheats.

26-30 from the otp asks for whoever strikes your fancy :3
Gonna dredge up the Spy Nerds for this one (Jaaide/Theron) bc that seems fun. Also I miss them
26. What are their vices?
Both are workaholics. Theron has trust issues and a caf addiction and Jaaide has trouble letting people help her. She thinks she has to solve everything herself, but then will get grumpy when no one helps her. (She's working on that, she's been called out by a couple different people)
27. Who is the light weight that needs to be taken care of after a party?
Jaaide. She doesn't tend to drink much, and when she does it's things with low alcohol content, so if she loses track or tries something new that's stronger than usual, Theron will be giving her a piggyback ride out of the club. xD
28. What are there thoughts on pet names? Do they have any?
They like them, but tend to stick to standard things; love, dear etc. Theron uses "sweetheart" a lot, and Jaaide's most common one for him is "darling". They don't have anything that's strongly personal that's turned into a nickname/endearment. that I can remember.
29. Who is more likely to jump in an elevator? Who freaks out?
I was gonna say neither, but then I remembered Jaaide 100% took the "Boo!" option during War for Iokath to see him jump. Sooo I guess she'd be more likely to jump, but I dunno if Theron would freak out. Maybe get a little on edge and ask her to stop, but I don't think he'd freak out.
30. Your OTP gets to pick out each other’s outfits; what is each wearing?
Theron's pick for Jaaide is the Jarael's armor top in green with leggings and comfy boots. (He likes her arms and green goes with her eyes.) Or his jacket and nothing else if they're staying in. Jaaide's pick for Theron is EITHER a shirt with the sleeves rolled up under a vest(think Impulsive Adventurer set) with his regular pants and boots or *cough* the Bold Hellion set, just with a tank top underneath. (he looks good in a leather jacket, but she doesn't need other people ogling her man, thanks.)

BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Conflict episode 6 review
I must admit I was a bit surprised over the fact this episode was too used for a build-up for the upcoming battles. But it only makes sense, since the upcoming battles will be heated ones!
When Urahara and other shinigami were trying to create that gate to Soul King's place, it took in my ear when Urahara stated they were lacking reiatsu. How? After all, they had all available captains and Visored in there to help them. And if they wouldn't be enough, what about Kenpachi and Kyoraku? It has been stated over and over again how much reiatsu Kenpachi has, but now it wasn't enough? Not to mention Kyoraku who has been captain for a very long time? Kenpachi's case could be explained because he was in battle earlier and went to shikai, so he probably used a lot of reiatsu. I imagine because it was his first time, he probably didn't have any control over how much reiatsu he put in his shikai, but even so... And with Kyoraku? It felt a bit weird. Especially when it was mentioned they wished Ukitake could help them. Just how much reiatsu did Ukitake possess? Not writing about the fact will they just leave him there for later to be picked? Don't know, but the whole 'we don't have enough reiatsu!' felt a bit odd. Sure, maybe two shinigami couldn't really fill the needs of that gate, but they had help. Well, luckily Mayuri had his amplifier ready just in the side.
As a side note, when all the shinigami (and the remaining Quincy) were filling their reiatsu balls, the color of those was very pretty. The fact everybody was golden-colored made it feel like they were truly united at that moment.
On the other side...I suppose Ichigo just has to go with the flow, lol! The fact he was demanding an explanation of 'what's going on?!' was hilarious.
I've to give it to Nelliel and Riruka for both being 'we're on the clock people, so no fighting and fussing over!' It was hilarious when Nelliel took "down" Grimmjow so easily who was all ready to fight against Ichigo. Things seemed really intense for a moment.
I think Orihime's reaction to the fact that Nelliel was an adult thanks to Urahara's equipment was justified. I mean...it's obvious there was a bit of jealousy in there, but also the fact Urahara's 'things' could be a bit more classy. Then again, it seems all mad scientists are a bit eccentric... even so, it's nice that Nelliel can now switch between her adult and child form. She will be a formidable ally! ...and someone has to take care of the big blue cat. xD
The garganda elevator was a nice surprise. It was also neat that they explained it this time better than in the manga. (Riruka looked cute in her new outfit!) And writing about explaining things better...Wahr Welt was explained better. Back then when I read the manga, I remember it puzzled me where exactly the last battles took place. Now we know Wahr Welt replaced Soul King's old place and the upcoming battles will take their places in there. I can't wait for those as those will be just epic!

On this round of P3R, we’re heading to the red-light district!
But first, I just want to say, Fuuka’s link requires MAX COURAGE to start? Omg. Now I’m assuming Mitsuru needs max academics. Good god. NG+ is absolutely gonna be needed for this.
So it’s now the third (technically fourth) full moon! And now that I’m thinking about the Magician and that whole mess, I think it’s a little funny that no one in SEES, in any of our downtime, has ever questioned, “Hey, what the fuck was that thing that ripped itself out of Orpheus and bodied the Magician in one shot? It might help with some of these slogging battles.” But no. It’s fine. We don’t need to know what that vastly powerful persona was. Whatever. Let’s rock.
Shirakawa Boulevard, despite Ikutsuki’s attempts to talk around it, is where the love hotels are!
I’m pressing X to doubt, sir!
So we’re off to the Champs de Fleurs hotel, and actually other than the weird curtained waiting area and sexy price list next to the front desk, it does look pretty normal? Like, it’s a hotel. It’s got hotel hallways and elevators and stuff.
And then we get to the third floor and the equivalent to the presidential suite.
This is labeled as the Hierophant’s Chamber, and… Lovers is supposed to be here? Did the P3 movies just straight-up skip the Hierophant Shadow and I never noticed? XDDD The Hierophant is very round and kind of looks like a really big guy with a lady with a head made of coral behind him.
Hierophant wasn’t bad, actually, and we get to explore the room afterwards before heading back downstairs. The kids clown on a lot of the décor, but like, the silly round bed would be cool for the novelty, and who DOESN’T want a tub that big???
But when we try to leave, we all get knocked out, and Minato wakes up in a different room, where Yukari is taking a shower.
This sounds very like Orpheus, but it’s definitely not Orpheus, because Orpheus would know that Yukari is not our soulmate!
Yes I will continue being biased. XDDDDD
If you say anything other than the correct answer, you get a “wait, that doesn’t seem right” thought bubble, and the dialogue just loops back to the start. You cannot fuck up the mission and game over on a night of brainwashed debauchery. XD
Minato comes to his senses, gets up from the bed, and Yukari comes out wrapped in a towel. She abruptly realizes where she is, screams, and slaps Minato before running back in the bathroom. And… Yukari? I was literally just standing here. Holy shit. Is this the pre-Kyoto warmup scene? God.
NONE OF THIS WAS MY FAULT???
Fuuka gets through to us, and we go back up to the second floor to meet up with Junpei and Akihiko.
I can only assume Junpei and Akihiko were put in the same room.
No one accused you of anything. Although now I’m giggling wondering what would have happened if I’d brought Mitsuru along instead.
We roam the hotel to find the mirrors we need to break to get back into the suite, and this is weirdly hilarious, all things considered.
But eventually we find our way back into the boss arena, and the Lovers has the perfect design, honestly.
GOD is it a bitch to fight, though. This fight took AGES because EVERY time it cast a spell with a charm effect, people got brainwashed. God forbid anyone other than Minato ever dodge an attack. Jesus fuck. I used every single one of my patra gems and dis-charms. Plus it cast diarama halfway through and of course when a boss does that it heals THOUSANDS of HP back to full health. Just give it salvation if you’re gonna do that.
As a brief side note, I love that when Minato casts the Jack Bros’ fusion spell, he just casually walks “offstage” afterwards and leaves them to it.
But finally, we’re out of here.
...Yukari volunteered so that I couldn’t take her out of the party and ruin my scripted undeserved slap. X’D
Gee, Yukari, I wonder if it’s because no one ever has anything nice to say to him? He just gets treated like the comic relief.
Also, we’re being watched by these dudes.
So when you say “we” do you mean you three, or like… humanity as a whole?
Back to the dorm to sleep this bullshit off, and then we move on with our week!
...christ, dude, I just came to see how you were doing. Can I please have a dialogue option so we can talk about this??? No???? Okay… God, this is Mona all over again. My god damn Magicians are always having problems.
...well, that’s nice. I wasn’t expecting that.
People at school are gossiping about how the school was rebuilt after an explosion ten years ago, and I’m getting texts from my attendant, who I apparently haven’t added to my phone? But at least she texts nicely.
It’s pre-exam week, so all my social links are busy. Instead, my academics are lagging, so I’m studying with the members of SEES who aren’t cranky with me. That means Yukari and Fuuka, and Mitsuru and Akihiko. Akihiko recommends doing a quick workout after every few problems, because then, you’ll power through the next set in anticipation of getting to your next workout!
Everyone I live with is insane. I love them. :’D
Ikutsuki calls a meeting to discuss something important, but before he can get to it, Yukari wants to speak. She’s had Fuuka looking into some stuff from the incident that happened ten years ago, and now she wants answers, because she thinks Mitsuru has been hiding things from us.
Other than the explosion, students were sent to the hospital, even though they were formally noted as just “absent”. It’s the same thing that happened to the girls bullying Fuuka; they fell unconscious and were unresponsive. Turns out, yeah, it was the same sort of thing. And it was Mitsuru’s grandfather, Koetsu Kirijo’s fault.
In greater Persona lore, knowing that he broke off from the Nanjo Group, he probably had access to tech that made his bullshit significantly easier to pull off. At the very least, we know he had the blueprints for a prototype anti-shadow suppression weapon, and the method to create artificial persona-users. But of course, he pushed too far.
(Sorry that these subtitles are kind of blurry. Basically, they gathered up a shitload of shadows and then lost control of them, because of course they did.)
Tartarus and the Dark Hour exist because of all of this. The lab explosion happened because they lost control, and because the lab was around/under Gekkoukan, it ended with the school needing to be rebuilt as well.
Yukari is not pleased with this development. She feels like we’re just being used to clean up other people’s mess. But as Ikutsuki puts it, we’re the only ones who can fix things. Normal people can’t fight shadows.
He also says that no one knows why the Arcana Shadows suddenly reappeared after ten years, but… Well.
No one is okay after this.
Junpei is angry because he feels like nothing he does is good enough, and that all he’s really good at is fighting, which won’t be necessary anymore if the Dark Hour vanishes.
Akihiko goes to see Shinji, who he apparently grew up with in an orphanage with someone named Miki, to tell him that they know how to stop the shadows now. But Shinji still won’t come back to SEES.
Me and Minato aren’t okay because I’ve finally started this guy’s social link, and he’s a dick.
Yukari’s dad was the lead researcher on the shadow stuff that led to the explosion, so I assume that he’s the one who got blamed for everything. Ikutsuki mentioned that the media picked one dude and demonized him.
I think this date is wrong, though. If it was ten years ago, that’d be 1999. Right? :/ It’s also just funnier if the lab exploded like 3 weeks after the Sumaru crisis ended.
But I saved the cat! So everything is not a complete wreck.
Pharos comes back to see me and implies some sketchy shit about my parents.
My parents (and my sister, shush, I’m pretending it’s canon) did not explode, though. So this isn’t their fault.
We’re absolutely friends.
After affirming that at least one person will stick by me to the end, even if that one person is a strange child who keeps waking me up at midnight, I come home from school the next day to find everyone sitting around experiencing the most awkward silence ever conceived.
Akihiko, no!
Thankfully, we manage to talk through what’s bothering the group as a whole (Junpei is still mad at me, I think), and Ikutsuki shows up to suggest that after exams, we all go on vacation to Mitsuru’s family’s summer home on the island of Yakushima. Her dad is going to be there, apparently!
Mitsuru reluctantly agrees, Yukari apologizes to her for being too gung-ho and accusatory the other night, and I think we’re all chill again. Which is good.
…….it’s my last night before exams and my option for study-buddy is Ikutsuki???
Nah. I’m out.

at last she is RENOVATED
it took a lot of drawing and a lot of writing but I've finally created some adequate character pages and an okay-ish elevator pitch about my stupid oc project!!
Main Characters!
About Page!
While I've tempered expectations that basically sub 5 people on the Internet even give a shit about what I've put together, I'm happy to have achieved this at all. -w-
Writing short character bios may have been the hardest thing to do this year XD Long form is much easier to rant and rave about an OC. I wanted to stay away from the typical pitfalls of writing too much detail in their backstories/what they're like and instead keep it concise. I like to think I succeeded :P

Okay but have you ever thought about how literally every ending can be seen as a type of break up?
Like the Freedom ending being the idyllic way people would break up - calm, peaceful, happy to go their own ways after finding things that didn't work between them.
The Countdown Ending could be seen as what happens when one partner tries to hold on in a very toxic and hurtful way to both parties, and in the end just results in a countdown to their demise, no matter how desperately they try to fix it or how much hope they had to take control....
This same thing can be applied to literally every single one of the endings. I mean that...
YOU... I like the way you think 👁️👁️
Bc holy cow that definitely could be the case with certain endings. Though I personally find it a little unclear with some endings like the non bucket elevator ending. But I DEFINITELY see it WITH the bucket endings (elevator, bottom of the mind control facility, etc.)
Regardless, I think it's great and makes a lot of sense bc AGAIN, Narrator is the concept of divorce XDD.
I also find it interesting that Davey Wreden said that instead of confirming or denying that the Narrator himself is divorced. Part of me wants to think he and the Curator are divorced but idk. More of me still likes the idea that they are more just... transcendental entities that happen to be coworkers/know each other in some way than anything.
It's a bit odd but I like having little to no explanation for them. Makes it very magical realism to me. Especially cuz to me, a lot of the endings raise more questions than give answers but still simultaneously give a bigger picture of things. It's probably confusing but yeah XD

Honestly one of my favourite things about ruoyao is how unhinged a ship it is! Like okay WRH and MY are fundamentally different people but they fit together very nicely! WRH is very capricious and MY knows how to deal with capricious people, WRH seems to be one of the few people in the entire novel to elevate people purely on merit (see: MY, WZL, WQ) and thag drives me nuts!
Like are you serious??? The unhinged megalomaniac is better at recognising and rewarding talent than everyone here??? Says a lot about the jianghu. In the same vein, he seems like the one person that would 100% respect his mom, without being awkward about it because he doesn't give two craps about social conventions or propriety
The same way I don't think MY's kindness is a facade, I don't think his cruelty in WRH's court is one either! MY can be very unhinged and cruel himself when he's pushed to it! (see: JGS's death)
There's also the fact WRH treated him better than anyone until that point (except for LXC) and like, obviously MY was playing a role in Qinshang, but it wasn't a role necessarily antithetical to his character!
It's really fun to explore the whirlwind of emotion MY was dealing with at that point! The power, the rush of WRH's respect and care, so on!
I've read every ruoyao dynamic under the sun (wen-gongzi, wen-furen, codependency, sexy torture times, etc.) And they drive me crazy!!!! Have you seen manhua WRH's reaction to being killed? He doesn't look like he's angry and wants to rage and kill! He looks confused and devastated like he doesn't understand why his talented Yao'er would do this!
It's about the potential. Like yeah WRH is basically a cartoon villain in the books but he's so fun to toy with with the little info we have! One thing that I like to believe about him is that he 100% adores his family! Hurt WX or WC or MY? He'll skin you. He was probably about to shatter baxia and have MY skin NMJ when he died
AAAAHHHH You get me!!!
YES! They are different ppl but they align so well with each other! As you said WRH is the kind to do whatever the hell he wants, and one thing MY is great at is accommodating, and he has no issues with that so long as his own needs are met too, and woULD YOU LOOK AT HOW HE ACTUALLY GOT RECOGNIZED!
And WZL! I forgot about him, but YES, that dude not only got accepted in the sect, he even was given the Wen name! LIKE PLS WRH was going around collecting talented rejects :')
Oh, I totally agree with your assessment of MY. I believe he was an inherently good person, but he was more than capable of cruelty. He probably had to exaggerate a bit in Qishan, but he definitely had what it took already, that cold blood is just something you can't fake, no matter how good an actor. And you know, that's what I love about Wen Yao, that he could be fully himself like that, he didn't have to hide his "dark" side nor pretend to be better to not hurt others' sensibilities bc, as good as he may have been at his core, he was not all about pure righteousness. He understood nuance and the need for harsh measures, and only with the Wen was it properly appreciated (but not exploited and abused like JGS did)
There are so many flavors to the ship indeed! I mean, you are still not going to get the healthiest pairing out of ruoyao lol, but you can get some wonderful codependence or the ever so delicious "I'm horrible to everybody but never to you" dynamics :'D
Ahhh the manhua!! I made this post some time ago PRECISELY bc I was going insane over how crushed WRH was when he discovered his Yao'er betraying him! He wasn't angry, he just couldn't understand why T-T
Lol he's a wonderful cartoon villain XD. It's about his potential as well, how we can have fun with the bits and pieces of info bc those are actually telling. And I do agree that he cared about his family, even if he wasn't aware of how he came off to them (aka that one donghua scene with WC kneeling), bc we would have been told otherwise since this is the Horrible Fathers novel :P. Also iirc, the whole "torture of NMJ right in front of him" thing was bc he killed WX, sooooo...
#replies#wen ruohan#meng yao#jin guangyao#ruoyao#mdzs#am I a bit (a lot) delulu? Yes#am I having too much fun with this? Also yes#I'm actually going rabid over them and I'm overjoyed at being validated with my niche rareship :')
