Okay, look! "Predictable" is what you might think now but listen up, I can prove to you why you two just click! There was no one else I could've chosen!

You two met in the Tavern (of course...). Actually it wasn't even him himself who approached you, it was Rosaria doing it for him because he just didn't shut up about you but he didn't want to bother you (actually he was too shy and he knows it).

Of course he acted as if she totally made that up and donned his cocky but slightly flirty side in front of you and that's how you started talking (she totally didn't make that up, by the way).

Your relationship is just amazing, you're basically the power couple of the town - much to the dismay of the older townsfolk who also would've loved to have the Cavalry Captain as their son in law.

Kaeya's love language is definitely physical touch. He just loves to hug you or snake his arm around you from behind, kissing your temples.

Also words of affirmation - prepare to be showered in praises because he can't stop telling you how amazing you are. Especially since you're one of the first one's who could actually dish out some playful teasing in return and he loves it!

The fact you're smart enough and comfortable enough with him to throw playful jabs back at him is just so attractive to him!

Kaeya would also 100% be the type of guy who acts cool and plays off his nervousness before going on a roller coaster ride but starts screaming the minute he is on it - much to your amusement.

And if that hasn't convinced you already, he is super protective. If he sees someone doing you wrong, you can bet everything that he is there to help you immediately! No one hurts his darling on his watch!

Wings Tour Final in Seoul ♡

An extremely long, detailed account of my experience attending the Wings Tour Final in Seoul Day 1!

PRE-CONCERT: I got to the venue at around midday mainly to suss out the merch situation, (quickly realized merch wasn’t going to happen because there were queues wrapping the block, it was mind-boggling how many people were in line!) but it was a blessing in disguise, because I ended up with a tonne of super cute fansite merchandise, and I ended up meeting a lot of really great people!

CONCERT: I was seated in Section B at the front section of the floor, near the centre stage and the left wing. I was very close to the front stage, even closer to the left wing stage, and a fairly unobstructed (but not close at all) view of the extended stage. They were very, very strict on photography during the concert (until the end). The concert kicked off with a VCR, playing some BTS highlights and also their BBMAs acceptance speech. Mic Drop: When the speech finished playing, the lights came onto the stage to reveal the guys in their Mic Drop costumes. I just about screamed my head off because I was expecting Not Today, and instead I was greeted with the beautiful sight of my Seven Guys in their Mic Drop outfits (and no bucket hats!) They were on fire, Mic Drop choreography is insane live. I was blown away by the energy, and the attitude, and then they did the dance break from Mama and their body rolls were rude and wonderful all at once.

Medley: This medley was the peak of my non-stop screaming because quite honestly, it was sensory overload. They started with We Are Bulletproof Pt. 1 & 2 and that in itself was a shock to my system, because I never, ever thought I would get to see those songs being performed live. They were having so much fun with the medley, and then they started taking turns going down the left and right wings. When the members were on the left side, they were SO CLOSE and it was a shock. I don’t really remember much about the music, or the stage, or anything (sigh) because my attention was solely on the member standing right there in front of me. (I’ll go into more detail at the end of this post re: My Reactions to their visuals bc... i need a separate paragraph for that lmao.) They then did Cypher pt. 1, 2, 3 and 4, and I swear to you my soul left my body. The Cypher series, ESPECIALLY part 3, has always been a dream and tonight that dream was realized. The best part was that Namjoon was standing right in front of me in the left wing while rapping his verse of Cypher Pt 3. He is an unbelievable rapper, charismatic and fierce and intense all at once. Also Yoongi’s verse in Cypher pt. 3 (the crazy fast one) was iNSANE live and I feel highly blessed to have witnessed that irl. He is ridiculously talented. Cypher pt. 4 (on the extended stage) they got us to stand up, and Hoseok owned it - he became Jay Dope and the energy in the crowd was great, we were all cheering and Yoongi threw water into the crowd!

Begin & Lie: Jungkook blew me away with Begin. His vocals were so stable, that if you were listening to him with your eyes closed, you would not have been able to guess just how hard he was dancing. Also, he is an unbelievable performer - he was surrounded by backup dancers and my eyes were drawn to him. He has a really intense way to staring at the audience, and he connects with the music and the crowd so well. Jimin performed Lie on the extended stage so I didn’t get the full effect, but even so, watching it mainly from the screen was incredible. His face when he dances to Lie is so beautiful, and he dances with his entire soul, seriously. The stadium was spectacular too, the Army bombs are synced to the beat of the song/specific colours, and the entire dome was slowly pulsing a dark crimson red and it was like something out of a film.

First Love: First Love gets it’s own paragraph because out of all the performances tonight, the most memorable one for me personally, was First Love. I can’t even explain Yoongi... he just rapped with so much intensity, and passion, and he just has It. It’s everything- the delivery, the way he stares into the audience, the nuances of his face expressions... he is a performer who makes you feel things. I could not keep my eyes off of him, I cried, and at the end he got really emotional too (which just made me cry harder).

So Far Away, Lost, Save Me, I Need U: So after First Love, was Seokjin singing ‘So far away’, and it felt like the entire dome was shaking from how loud everyone was screaming. They arranged it so well, the four vocal line members were standing on the extended stage, no choreo, just singing- and it never felt like one was overpowering the other, instead, they all blended together so beautifully? It was really moving. I felt so lucky to be able to watch them perform that song live. After that, was Lost, Save Me, I Need U which are all classic, so enjoyable, and they were dressed in these blue grey silk shirts... some of which were low V neck cuts and I seriously nutted off the face of the earth, they looked so good.

Reflection: I loved every second of Reflection. When I’ve watched fancams of Reflection from other concerts, I’ve gotten emotional because I (personally) sensed Namjoon performing it with a melancholic tone. Tonight though, I don’t know, he just seemed happy? He was smiling a lot, and during the instrumental bit he said, “I believe.” And he looked up and smiled, and said, (something along the lines of) “I believe we are all whales. We are alone, but we are swimming together,” in English. And he was smiling and swaying and then he asked a question, I can’t remember what, but it was a question he wanted us to say ‘yes’ to. Buuuut, because he spoke in English, the audience just chanted back “Kim Namjoon” and Namjoon laughed. It was really cute. He looked really happy, and he was wearing a sparkly black blazer and looked like a Visual Masterpiece.

Stigma: Stigma was another performance that blew my socks off. Taehyung hit every single note, and the tone of his voice in real life is so soulful. He was in his element, he was staring into the audience with this piercing gaze... he was basically eyefucking us and it was incredible. His facial expressions are NO JOKE. He kept smirking, and then staring, and then licking his lips and the entire dome was hooked. Every time he did a certain face expression you could hear people going “ohhhhh”. He absolutely knows how to perform, he’s mesmerizing. And at the end, he ad-libbed a few high notes in Stigma and his voice sounded amazing.

Mama & Awake: Mama was the one song I was the most excited to see prior to the concert! It exceeded all my expectations. Hoseok was in the best mood, he was beaming from ear to ear and being really playful - making love hearts and dancing with a huge grin. It was so heartwarming. He was born to perform, when he’s up there doing his thing EVERYONE is in love, seriously. He is such a good dancer, he engages with the crowd so well... and the end of Mama with the gospel-esque choir and Hoseok singing had my body shivering! He is an INCREDIBLE singer (a true Vocalist) and at the end he gave us the world’s biggest smile and my heart melted in to the floor. Awake was immediately after, and hello, I love Seokjin. I will fight everyone who doubts his vocal ability because his voice was so strong and stable tonight, and those high notes had my soul ascending. He sang with so much emotion, and his voice just filled the arena so beautifully and it never felt strained, it was effortless. I teared up, and the entire dome went quiet and after her finished, they clapped. It was a really beautiful moment.

DNA & Go Go: Before DNA, they played a VCR they recorded (speaking of? how do they have the TIME i can’t deal with them) and the crowd started to go nuts. When we heard Jungkook’s whistle, and the beat kicked in, the roar from Army was deafening. The fanchants were insane, the loudest fanchants of the night, and the guys were loving it. It felt like they were vibing off of us, and they were smiling and enjoying DNA so much. Go Go was so much fun! They were having a good time, and being so so so cute with the aegyo.

Medley 2: The medley started off with N.O., No More Dream, Boy in Love and Danger. They did the same thing as before, all taking turns to go to the two wings of the stage. I feel like I have no clear memories of the medleys, because I wasn’t paying attention to the screen at all when the members were right there ahhhh. I remember Jimin was in front of us and he did the body rolls from No More Dream (I was yodeling), and Jungkook was with us during either Danger or Boy In Luv and he stayed for ages, interacting with us and dancing around. The second half of the medley they returned to the extended stage, for Fire. They started from the 3:33 dance break and it was fucking crazy. These fireworks popped out of nowhere and they just BROKE into that dance and my eyes fell out of my head. Their dancing was so sharp and so strong (especially Jimin holy mole). After Fire they told us all to stand up, and they started to sing Run. It was an orchestra version, so kind of upbeat, and they were running around and EVERYONE was dancing/jumping up and down. It was the most energetic the crowd was all night, the boys seemed so happy, and then at the climax of the song these gold streamers popped over us on ground floor and it was so beautiful I can’t.

BST, You Never Walk Alone & Best of Me: Blood Sweat & Tears was one of my favourite performances of the night. The dance was AMAZING, they gave it their all and seeing them do that choreography irl was so memorable. Afterwards they said it was their last song, and Army were chanting for about 5 minutes straight refusing to accept that reality... and of course, they came out in these truck things. On my side, I had Taehyung, Hoseok and Seokjin. (from memory). We were waving at them, and they were SO BEAUTIFUL, because they all came out wearing Wings tour merch. When I saw Tae in the beret my jaw dropped and I whipped my head around to look at the screen to see NAMJOON IN THE BERET and I distinctly remember screaming out “THANK YOU” lmfao. YNWA was so cute, and then they did Best of Me which was SO ADORABLE. They were so happy, bouncing around in their trucks with their selfie sticks waving to us and singing.

Ment 1: (I can’t remember in between the ments because there were so many, but this is a vague memory of ment 1) Jimin said he missed us a lot, Seokjin did his heart event (punching through a sheet of white paper to reveal a red love heart), and Jimin said he really loves performing Best of Me :) Seokjin wanted to mess around with the army bombs and do a wave of colour, and then Yoongi made us all clap ‘once’. Jimin asked us to sing the melody of Best of Me and we couldn’t (it sounded so bad) and they kind of went “oh..” and everyone laughed. It was really nice, and intimate almost, they were mucking around and having fun and I was the softest bitch in the room. They also all went around talking about this year, and thanking us for the success of LY:Her. Then they said that this was going to be their last song for the night.

Road/Path & Born Singer: I can’t explain to you my reaction when I realized they were singing Road/Path. I was facing the extended stage, and I turned to see on the screen, their faces next to different clips of their debut/early era selves. It was so, so emotional. People around me (and me) were crying, seeing for example, Jungkook now singing next to debut Jungkook. (Also, unrelated, but because I was at the front of the section right by the massive screen, I could see every detail of the member’s faces it was kinda intense... e.g. I could see the texture of their skin and the fact that Yoongi had a tiny lil pimple). After Road/Path, they stood in a circle and Jungkook sang “I’m a born singer” and the entire stadium exploded. I was in shock, and I started to cry because WHAT THE HECKIN HELL! It was the same as in the original performance, them in a circle on a rotating platform. I can’t even explain the feeling. They sang/rapped with so much emotion, and behind them was a sea of glittering army bombs. It was really beautiful. The lyrics of Born Singer are so intense and you could hear it in their voices. I was an emotional wreck and it was at that moment I told myself that I will support these guys til my old age, they deserve the world. They’re so talented and humble and they put their 100% into their music, you could feel it in that performance and I think everyone was crying.

Ment 2 & Spring Day: Namjoon was crying, and they all went in turns to say their final words. This time, it was really emotional (as opposed to all the others during the night were they were joking around, teasing us, etc). most of them were crying/teary, and so grateful. They kept thanking us. The most emotional one for me (aside from Namjoon) was Jungkook. He was speaking in this really thick, quiet voice, like he was on the verge of tears, and he told us that he wants to perform well for us, and that tonight he felt like he hadn’t done that. He said his condition wasn’t good and Army all cheered, “it’s okay” (idk how to translate the korean word exactly? but kind of yeah, ‘you did okay/it’s okay’), and Jungkook teared up and said, “Thank you, I love you”. They then performed Spring Day, which was so beautiful live, and they disappeared. A video played on the screen of them writing letters, and a lot of Army left because they thought it was over (fools!!! hehe), because after the video we looked up to see them in those hot air balloons!

ENDING: OKAY SO!!!! Because of where I was sitting, the Hot Air Balloon above me would dip inwards like close to the ground and then back up, if that makes sense (basically I was really close to the balloons). Everyone stood up and was taking photos, and I spotted Namjoon in his beret and I kid you not I dropped my army bomb, my phone, everything, and grabbed my slogan. I had this huge slogan, white fabric with black Korean letters that said “WE LOVE KIM NAMJOON” and I held it up. I didn’t mention this earlier but my section seemed to be full of Yoongi/Jimin/JK stans and every time Namjoon was around there weren’t THAT many cheers for him, also everyone had their phones out, but i was like WAVING my giant slogan from side to side. Namjoon spotted it and I let go of it with one hand and pointed at him like saying “you, you, you” and he smiled and pointed BACK and did the ‘you you you’ and I did a thumbs up (lmfao I didn’t know what else to do) and he laUGHED (and then turned around) but i seriously think my ass was trembling the entire time. They got off the balloons and spent time going to both wings again to say individual goodbyes. Hobi came around and I did a big heart on my head with my arms and wiggled from side to side and he did a head heart back and wiggled I FUCKING SCREAMED, it was a fleeting moment but iconic nonetheless. Namjoon came to the left wing second to last, and I held up the slogan again and yelled “NAMJOON THANK YOU” (in Korean) and no one else was yelling and he saw me and HE POINTED AT ME and I pOINTED BACK AND HE SMILED AGAIN AND THE GIRL NEXT TO ME GRABBED MY ARM AND WENT “AHHHH”....... anyway after this, they all went back to the centre stage. As the big screens were closing they were being cute, Jin asked us to give him flying hand kisses, etc etc, and doing individual dances (Yoongi did a break dance thing) and saying “Bye” until the very last moment.

MEMBERS VISUALS/MY IMPRESSIONS Jungkook: He is so, so handsome. SO HANDSOME. His face is so chiselled irl ugh he’s grown up so much I can’t deal. He has a really nice body and the thighs are NO JOKE. He’s such a good dancer and he exudes so much confidence on stage, he’s so attractive it hurts me Taehyung: I am convinced that he is one of the most devastatingly beautiful people in the entire world. He’s very sharp and intense and beautiful, honestly. His features are unreal - his eyes!!! And at the end he was wearing the beret and his eyebrows and smile had me so weak. Jimin: Also so, so handsome. He has a really nice facial structure, a really nice jaw. And he’s beautiful in a soft, almost delicate way. On stage (after Namjoon because im biased af) I found him the most captivating to watch. Also I know everyone rags on him about his height but he really didn’t seem that way to me! Hoseok: Okay Hoseok is a visual masterpiece? Photos do not do him justice, he was the nicest facial structure and such a handsome face. He’s softer in real life too, and so, so charming. His smile is ridiculous, and when he has that intense stare........ no one is safe Yoongi: Also a visual masterpiece? He has a smaller frame but the way he moves his body is so attractive. He has a really pretty face too. he just has this charisma about him, he’s undoubtedly the sexiest person alive. Seokjin: My jaw dropped when I saw him. He is IT. The best looking man alive, no joke. Like fucking hell, I honestly gasped. His body is f*cked, his shoulders, his torso, his legs, and his FACE. HIS FUCKING FACE. his hair was styled so well and they put him in a lot of plunging shirts, fuck. He wasn’t as fanservicey at the start of tonight as the others and I found it so attractive, he was just STARING at the audience ahhhhh. And during one of the medleys while he was on my side of the stage in the wings, he picked up a bottle of water, drank it, and tossed it over his shoulder with an idgaf expression on his face. It was the hottest thing I’ve seen lmfao Namjoon: I have No Words to describe him.... other than.... truly........ the Visual to end all Visuals. He’s SO ATTRACTIVE. SO. SO. ATTRACTIVE. He has SO MUCH stage presence and he smiles and has these lil face expressions all the time that you don’t usually see in videos, but holy mole. Whenever he was on stage I was staring straight at him. He’s tall, and he has a really nice body, and his FACE!!!! He has a really dainty face and he’s honestly 128293898210x better looking in person which i didn’t even know was possible. HIS SMILE, THE DIMPLES, EVERYTHING, wowowowow

OK SO (wtf this is so long I commend you if you are still reading this), in conclusion, this was an emotional, amazing concert and I am at a loss still! They are all INCREDIBLE performers, and you can really tell that they love what they do. I will never get over this! i feel blessed and lucky. and i love these guys so much.

After letting the experience of discovering seven korean guys that I’ve never expected to love them that much sink in, I think I’m ready to write this out.

I actually have wrote something in the past but I accidentally close the tab without saving it.

Before getting into it, just wanna let you know that I think I have finally found the perfect formula for my coffee. I usually cannot stand latte because it makes me in sort of a state of mania???? But, I am now writing under the influence of Americano and my mind seems like in its optimum state, weird. Despite it’s 2.53 am now.

Oh, and I’m playing Abyss by Kim Seokjin for the 1293792th times. I’m also in kind of ruminative state right now then this song came out and for me it’s like God answers my prayer.

My encounter with BTS is... kinda puzzling, but not really

Hari ini kebetulan ada sender lewat di timeline yang nanya, siapa member yang pertama kali menarik perhatian kamu?

Kalau ditarik ke belakang, ternyata jawabannya yaitu Kim Line.

Gimana bisa? Sebenernya perhatian ke Kim Line ini ngga langsung terjadi dalam satu waktu aja, tapi dalam 3 acara yg berbeda dan rentang waktu yang agak panjang di antara ketiganya

Urutannya juga pas banget sama foto ini.

Kim yang pertama yakni si uri leader, Kim Namjoon.

Inget banget, mungkin sekitar pertengahan menuju akhir tahun 2019, saat jam makan siang kebetulan lagi makan bareng bertiga sama temen di kantin Fisipol. Salah satu dari temen yang satu meja saat itu seorang Army yang Jimin-biased. Waktu itu kebetulan dia lagi janjian sama temennya yang Army juga, kalau diamati sih mereka lagi janjian mau transaksi jual-beli keyring gitu, tapi lupa banget itu keyringnya gambar siapa. Kalau misal inget waktu itu gambar si bias line alias JK, Yoongi, Namjoon, atau Seokjin sepertinya aku akan menangis. Canda.

Nah, sembari mereka bercakap-cakap soal grup yang isinya 7 pemuda koplak korea itu ku diem-diem ngikutin pembicaraan mereka. Sampe satu poin yang ku inget banget, mereka lagi ngobrolin tentang Namjoon, yang waktu itu mereka berdua nyebutnya masih “rrrrrrap monsterrrr” 😂

Mereka ngobrolin tentang gimana Namjoon ini punya cerita yang cukup unik. Kata mereka, Namjoon ini kalau di kalangan para Army kayanya agak jarang mendapatkan perhatian, karena biasanya orang-orang suka lebih perhatiannya ke visual dulu. Tapi, dari nadanya sih kedua orang yg lagi duduk di meja itu ngebelain Namjoon, dan sangat menyayangkan orang-orang yang overlooked eksistensi Namjoon hanya karena faktor visual. Padahal, Kim Namjoon ini talentanya gila bgt apalagi soal nulis lirik, dan udah bukan rahasia umum lagi kalo dia IQ-nya 148.

Mendengar percakapan mereka yang demikian, aku diam-diam ambil hape dan langsung typing di Google dengan keyword “rapmon”. Wkwk.

Seketika waktu klik tab “image”, satu hal yang terbersit di hati & pikiran, *deg* “kok aku kayanya cocok ya sama ni orang” (buset udah kaya milih gebetan). Alias secara appearance Namjoon ini screams “my type!”. Alias yang lain ialah kalo dia beneran ada di kehidupan irl jd temen SMA atau apa, ku kayanya diem-diem bakal naksir ni orang. Yes, at first it was visual-wise. I meaaaan, look at them dimples 🥺

But then there’s also his brain, his personality, his words, which makes him even more attractive and I love him for that.

Terus juga ngebatin, ini penampilan dia ngga ada yg salah lho btw, kenapa pada overlooked doi.

Kemudian, dari situ mulai tumbuh respect pada BTS, walaupun belum bener-bener siap buat ngulik dan dengerin karya-karya mereka lebih dalam. Tapi semenjak itu kaya tiap ada yg nyebut tentang BTS jadi agak lebih atentif.

Agak menunda ngulik tentang BTS juga mungkin karena sebelumnya emang belum terlalu cocok dan ngeh sama musik korea. Selama 22 tahun hidup, musik korea yang bisa masuk di telinga baru musiknya Big Bang dan 2NE1. Tapiiii, dulu jaman SD/SMP pernah sempet mau jatuh ke lubang K-Pop setelah mendengar Ring Ding Dong dan Hello-nya SHINee dan ngeliat MV-nya Girl’s Generation yang OH! 😂. Sampe pernah bikin editan gambarnya member SNSD dari MV yang sama. Bisa dibilang kalo jadi sone dulu biasku adalah Seohyun. Lel

Sebelum ketemu Namjoon, dulu waktu SMA juga udah sempet denger-denger nama BTS, karena salah satu temenku, Happy, udah support mereka dan jadi Army bahkan kayanya sebelum mereka debut.

Inget buanget, dulu jaman masih di OSIS apa ya? Happy bawa beanie tulisannya “I don’t give a sh*t” kata dia mau dikasih ke Suga BTS nitip temen dia yang mau ikut fansign/fanmeeting. Waktu ngeliat Happy kaya gitu jujur iri banget, karena waktu itu ku statusnya masih jadi Directioner 😂

Irinya tuh karena enak banget si Happy bisa ngefans sama grup yang skalanya masih kecil dan lagi di awal-awal alias rookie wkwk. Jadi kesempatan dia buat berinteraksi sama mereka lebih gede daripada diriku yang ngefans grup yang skalanya waktu itu lebih geda kaya 1D. Terus juga sekarang kalo dipikir-pikir dan diamati treatment dan hubungan artist ke fans juga menurutku beda jauh antara BTS sama 1D (ku ngga tau ya kalau idol group korea yang lain kaya gimana).

Fast forward, bulan Januari 2020 saat magang di Magelang, ku satu kamar & kosan sama 2 teman yang dua-duanya pengabdi K-Pop, tapi beda fandom, yang satu Got7 (& Day 6?) yang satu lagi NCT & TVXQ (kalo ngga salah). As expected, hampir tiap hari waktu ngerjain tugas dan berkumpul di satu kamar yang sama mereka berdua nyetel lagu K-Pop yang sama sekali ngga familiar di telingaku, kecuali.... “omamamai” dan “aya aya” alias Boy with Luv.

Walaupun cukup familiar karena iklan si ijo, tetep agak gimana gitu tiap denger verse yang dua itu. Sampe-sampe waktu mereka nyetel BWL di kamar kayanya raut mukaku agak masam dan mereka kaya agak merasa bersalah karena takut mengganggu 😂

Padahal sebenernya engga gitu, cuma mikir aja ini lagu kenapa genit banget nadanya???

Di sela-sela mereka bahas soal K-Pop ku penasaran mereka ini apa fans-nya BTS? Ternyata bukan, yang sesungguhnya Army itu temen yang satunya lagi dan mereka cerita kalo biasnya dia V alias Taehyung. Nah, udah penasaran tuh V yang kaya apa. Akhirnya berujung pada typing di Google lagi, kali ini nyari gambarnya Taehyung. Bener aja, waktu ngeliat Taehyung ku langsung ngebatin lagi, “hnggggg kayanya udah saatnya aku membuka hati buat K-Pop dan ngulik soal BTS, soalnya ni orang kayanya bisa jadi bias gue” 😂

The power of Kim Taehyung. But, spoiler alert, ternyata dia tidak berhasil menjadi biasku. Wkwk. Cuma kagum aja sama sifat-sifat & kelakuan dia, selera musik sama selera berpakaian dia juga ciamik abis. Tapi, hamdalah ga sampai level bucin Taehyung.

Suatu hal yg perlu disyukuri karena aku yakin kalo aku bucin taehyung aku akan semakin ga waras 🙏🏽

Lagi-lagi, kegengsian dan kemageran ini membuat PDKT dengan BTS jadi terhambat. Ngga keburu ngulik lagi tentang karya mereka, kecuali ada satu lagu yg udah bener-bener kudengerin, yaitu Make it Right yang featuring sama Lauv di tahun 2019 silam tapi baru masuk playlist sotoyku tahun 2020. Ini ku dengerin juga gara-gara penasaran karena si Happy pernah posting lagu ini di Instagram dan ngomongin soal Lauv, kebetulan dulu ku juga sempet suka & ngikutin Lauv (tp skrg udah ga sbrp), akhirnya coba ngepoin collab BTS sama si Lauv.

Sebelumnya mohon maaf kepada BTS dulu sempet overlooked lagu ini juga dan belum paham sama daya tariknya. Emang bener kata Min Yoongi, “you’ll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice”. Jadi, sekali lagi maafkan aku, Min Yoongi. Yah, kalo ga gini kan sebutannya bukan Army jalur karma hyung.

Akhirnya sampe pada pertengahan tahun 2020, ku stumbling upon IG story-nya salah satu panutan yang cerita tentang Kim Seokjin dan songwriting-nya Min Yoongi. Selain itu, panutan saya yang lain juga kebetulan pernah mention tentang RM di twitter dia.

Ditambah beberapa ingatan samar soal BTS yang pernah bawain speech di UN dan love yourself/speak yourself campaign. Juga tentang album mereka, map of the soul, yang konsepnya terinspirasi dari teorinya Carl Jung. Kebetulan, ku juga dasarnya pengabdi psikoanalisis tapi malu-malu. Hhe.

Nah, dari banyaknya sinyal BTS yang berdatangan dari berbagai arah akhirnya aku coba ngepoin member BTS yang satu itu, Kim Seokjin. Lalu, penasaran juga sama ceritanya Min Yoongi.

Selanjutnya, abis ngeliat foto Kim Seokjin, ngga mau bohong tapi emang uri mad-hyung ini pesonanya bukan main. Ya gimana ya, he didn’t earn the title Worldwide Handsome and “third guy from the left” for no reason.

Not to sound like I’m emphasizing on his visual, but I had to admit sekali liat foto dia ku langsung paham daya tariknya dia di mana, karena biasanya suka lamban bgt bgt kalo ngeliat cowok korea. Tapi, kasus Kim Seokjin tentu beda. Terus, makin belajar dan mengamati lebih banyak dan lebih dalam tentang sosok Kim Seokjin dan kepribadiannya, rasa kagum dan loyalitasku makin bertambah dan menetap.

Sebelum ketemu dan menatap Kim Seokjin secara serius, beberapa minggu sebelumnya di Instagram juga lagi banyak banget yang posting iklan Samsung, “The Strange Tailor Shop” starring two of my biases, Jeon Jungkook & Kim Seokjin.

Cumaaan, lagi-lagi waktu itu diriku ga langsung kepoin mereka. Ga paham lagi ini sinyal BTS udah kenceng banget lho, tapi aku-nya yang ga nangkep-nangkep.

Setelah itu juga kejadiannya jadi blur lagi, yang paling inget yaitu suatu hari akhirnya aku memberanikan diri bener-bener ngelihat MV Dynamite di YouTube.

Pertama kali nonton MV-nya aku udah nandain, Namjoon, Taehyung, sama Seokjin. Tapi, waktu scene nge-dance bareng-bareng suka ketuker lagi antara Jungkook sama Taehyung.

“Kalo yang ini taehyung terus yang itu siapa???”

“Ini kayanya Suga deh tapi kok bukan ya???”

“Yang ini kok mirip kaya... rey mbayang?” menatap Jimin dengan heran] *ampuni aku Jimin stan*

Walupun first impressionnya kaya gitu, Jimin agaknya menjadi bias wreckerku dikit-dikit kalo si Black Swan ini lagi menari sama kalo eye makeup-nya lagi on-point. Koleksi antingnya juga membuatku terpana. Sumpah gila banget tu orang. Takut. Salut.

Dari MV Dynamite akhirnya merembet nonton iklan Samsung yang beneran kali ini, pertama nonton punya subunit Yoongi, Hobi, dan Taehyung. Lanjut ke subunit Jinkook. Momen di mana statement, “You don’t choose your bias, your bias choose you”, terjadi di antara aku dan Jungkook. Astaga. Makin gak waras.

Abis itu lanjut nonton mereka perform live yang di Radio.com waktu mereka perform lagu Dynamite, Make it Right sama Mikrokosmos. Di situ juga jadi momen jatuh cinta parah sama Mikrokosmos ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Itu lagu apiknya banget banget, lagu ini energinya kalo di aku kaya magis bgt, dan pas baca liriknya juga kaya, “waaa!” *major hearteyes*

Yaudahlah akhirnya lanjut ngepoin performance mereka yang lain terutama di talk show US kaya Jimmy Fallon dan James Corden. Lah, ya bener aja Carpool Karaoke-nya mereka, US interviews, (& kompilasi video-video crackhead BTS karya Army yorobun yang kreatif, e.g., “BTS funny moments”, “BTS moments I think a lot”, “what’s going on inside Jungkook’s brain”, “namjoon vs maknae line”, you name it 😂) jadi obat pelipur lara. Di titik itu udah mulai hafal nama sama mukanya. Makin dibuat jatuh cinta dengan Jungkook’s high note dan “English RM” yang *chef’s kiss*, pas Carpool Karaoke.

Semua itu terjadi dalam waktu yang sangat sangat singkat. Rasanya kaya tiba-tiba aja, tapi padahal ya kalo ditarik ke belakang ternyata engga juga. Kalo kata Nassim Taleb mungkin ini yang disebut sebagai Black Swan event.

Gara-gara Carpool Karaoke waktu Namjoon bilang “it’s the best drive song” pas lagu Circle-nya Post Malone ku jadi makin halu tiap denger lagu itu, halunya halu semobil disetirin Namjoon jalan-jalan muterin Seoul di malam hari. Tapi kehaluanku akhirnya dihancurkan karena Namjoon sampe sekarang ga punya SIM dan kayanya ga berani nyetir mobil, ya gimana mau nyetirin. Yaudah, naik sepeda aja hayuk sambil namjooning. Hiya. Astaghfirullah.

Semenjak itu tiada hari tanpa ngepoin mereka bertujuh, dari mulai ngepoin hal-hal trivial berbau pseudoscience kaya zodiak, MBTI, dll., sampe sejarah mereka dari awal sampe bisa di titik ini kaya gimana. Belajar juga lirik-lirik mereka sampe mangap bgt hampir di tiap lagu mereka credit-nya selalu ada inisial RM dan Suga. Dah, emang deserved banget kalo mereka berdua bisa debut di Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters (kudos to Hobi songwriter-nim as well) 👏🏽 *chateu wi bang bang, ddaeng* 🔥

Begitulah perjalanan saya jatuh ke lubang kelinci, and the history repeat itself, dari yang udah taubat karena ditinggal Zayn Malik dari 1D sampe fangorl behavior ini muncul lagi. Tapi alhamdulillah, kenal Bangtan di umur segini kayanya emang udah paling ideal buat makhluk impulsif kaya saya, karena kalo ngga kayanya damagenya bisa makin parah.

Tapi secara pribadi, makin kesini makin kerasa perbedaan-perbedaan nge-stan grup barat sama grup dari korea, dan bedanya jadi “fangirl” di usia remaja sama dewasa awal. To be honest, it is much much healthier 😂

Alhamdulillah udah dikasih kesempatan mengenal Bangtan karena emang mereka kalo bikin karya ngga sembarangan. Dari konsepnya yang well-researched. Cerita dan pesan terbaik mereka juga secara pribadi selalu berhasil sampe ke hati. Kayanya kapan-kapan mau bikin tulisan lain yang lebih reflektif dan heartfelt soal Bangtan. i think it was the moment i watched bangtan bombs and interviews with no eng subs and just smiled so wide and laughed my ass off with them even though i had no idea what the hell they were talking abt?? and also when anyone asked me what i would want for christmas for for my birthday or anything like that and it was literally just like “buy me bangtan merch please”. o and when i forced my my mum and my grandpa to watch three whole episodes of eatjin. i loved it.

15. the very first moment where you felt their sincere passion for music?

i mean, i always knew they really did love what they were doing, it was apparent just through how they express themselves and how invested they are in getting the music and performances just right.. but i guess it was really during the start of the wings era when i realised how much effort and time and heart that namjoon and yoongi and all of the members put into the lyrics and the whole album. what really hit me was how namjoon told us abt how they all just sat with jk and cried, and how the lyrics of begin really showed his feelings. along with all the lyrics from the wings album, especially their solo songs. it really gave me that feeling of knowing that they completely loved what they were doing and loved it enough to write about their own heartfelt experiences.

21. what was the reason the you believed that they would make it big one day?

i think it’s always just their sincerity and hard work and pure talent that got them where they are. they’ve worked and grafted so hard to get to this level, but it was clear to see at the start of their career how much raw talent there was there, either with their fucking lit dancing and different style of music, there’s just something so attractive abt bangtan that you just can’t deny. they are DIFFERENT and i think that’s why so many people love them. also they’re huge dorks and i love them sm :(( also!! their music videos.. damn son. if you want just one reason out of many, there’s one. captivating storylines, amazing music, beautiful boys, beautiful dancing. need i say much more?

23. how did they impact on your life positively?

um, where do i begin??? ok so, first off, i’ve made new friends since discovering bangtan, interent and irl! they have such a huge fanbase its hard not to run into a few people you connect with. also, they have always, ALWAYS made me smile everyday since i found them around a year ago… yes hello i am that sappy stan trademark but like!! my boys!! sunshines of my life!! their music always makes me feel better, i love listening to it until i can sleep at night,, i have found my soulmate too?? mr. kim taehyung?? whatta man?? also a certain min yoongi has made my cry thoughtful, sincere tears with a lot of his lyrics.. i find this positive bc he opened my eyes up to a lot actually? his and namjoon’s lyrics are always hard hitting on a lot of down-to-earth, normal subjects like school and everyday problems. also i’ve found many more posters to fill up my walls with so thats good!! they make me feel all fuzzy ok, i love them :’)

well, there are no negatives that affect me personally really.. i mean i’ve gotten some teasing and stick @ school for like something that’s not essentially “normal”. i mean, i’m from a tiny, tiny town in rural ireland so?? please fourteen year old white boys?? give me your opinions?? bc i need them so much?? tell me how weird it is to listen to korean songs and how i dont know what they’re saying and how shit they are even tho you have never even layed eyes upon them?? :/ it’s really nothing tho, my love for bangtan outshines any hate that i’ve ever received lol

okay this video was so so good, I loved the editing like with the arrows on the bench ha! this was so fun and I loved how you showed the like... whole narrative!! I also thought the various angles/settings/lighting colours really kept the video consistently super visually entertaining... this was my second favourite but I feel like if the competition wasn't so strong it would've been an amazing winner

Dan:

Creativity - 9 Effort - 9 Overall - 9

Holy crap! This was so fun! I loved all of the text you added to give it a little spice. I could tell that you and your friends had a blast making this. I don't know who you are, but this video totally made me want to be friends with you! The only areas it lacked were precision with lip syncing and some minor editing things (but lets be real, this was dope).

Creativity - 8 While this is a Super basic song to use for a music video challenge, I don't feel like I've ever seen it used like this before, telling the story using a pair of friends, that was super cute. I loved the little bits where you're rocking on "stage" with your boyfriend, that was super cute!!! Effort - 10 This music vide had so much attention to detail, between the little disclaimers, MTV logos, and the storytelling as a whole. The next time you do a video pay attention to the lighting though! There were some points where the crazy color lights were casting a strange shadow on one half of your face that didn't look super intentional. Overall - 10 This music video had me laying in bed CACKLING the whole time, it had the perfect blend of sophistication and stoopid that just made for one of the most enjoyable music videos I've ever seen done. Amazing job.

OKAY WHAT THE FUCK YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. With all the videos in this community this one totally stands out. It is clear you had fun with this but also how bad you wanted this immunity, clean editing, watching a story play out before our eyes just like a real music video, and also we are at a rave! If I have one complaint its that for a lot of the song you don't really match up with the song when you are lip-synching, and in most cases that would be backbreaking but when you pull something out like THIS, it only hurts you slightly in my eyes. AMAZING JOB!

this was so cute I loved the concept and idk why you having the tribal behind you really got me. you had some really really fun editing ideas in this, I think you just got unlucky where for the second half you kinda were out of ideas and it was just you lip synching so even tho you were serving it didn't maintain the momentum of the first half

This was such a cute video. I loved the greenscreen and all the parts with your cat in it. I think that it just got a little boring/repetitive toward the middle and I lost interest. I think it might have been a song choice issue, but your lip sync was on point.

Creativity - 9 This is a super basic song, but the concept was really funny, I really appreciated that the song wasn't just about love, but about immunity. Effort - 8 Girl you involved you cat, idk how you did it, but you did. That cat deserves an EMMY baby. Anyways, the effort was very obvious with the full grenscreen moments to the contextual scene changes. Good shit b. Overall - 8 The music video's concept really carried the entertaintment portion, I feel like it was very one note in its humor, and the song choice probably contributed to that a lot. Slower songs really need a LOT to make it work in context to a music video challenge.

Okay WORK!! Thank you for having a clean video it made it satisfying to watch. The issue here is the song, there's no real reason to stay hooked. I just woke up and that could of put me back to sleep, but not because of the effort you put in. I just am not staying engaged and that might be what's holding you down, but still enjoyed it!

Honestly, this isn’t what I expect to see from an individual immunity challenge near the end of the game. Where was the fight?? I give you credit for the dance moves, but other than that, this was lackluster.

The only thing you did cool was throw a ball at the camera... like.. John, you've got IRL friends in the ORG world who have done killer music videos (Hey Nedd <3). Someone definitely should have given you a second opinion, this is the final 5 immunity. The video was only 45 seconds long, really poor song choice, and below average dance moves. Sorry dude, but I expected a lot more.

Miss Rachael! What a great take on this challenge. So many people just lip sync the house down, but you thought about the lyrics and created something really interesting. I think there are a few areas where I wanted more, but I was fully entertained the whole time. Danny Devito deserves love too!! Also, you looked like you had so much fun making this! Great job.

Creativity - 8 The dancing / scenes you used were very expected from that song, there's almost only one way to make a creative statement with that song choice. And you did it. Using a celebrity as your lover was the icing on the cake for the creativity portion. Effort - 10 I absolutely loved you getting your friends involved, it was so fun to see your "Cheerleading" friend in the music video. I also loved the editing, it probably would have flowed a bit better had the editing matched the scenes you filmed, like the change in car color, but you can't always control that. Also, messaging survivor alumni for shoutout vids for free instead of using Cameo is amazing, good job!! Overall - 9 I loooved the video, and the ode to Danny Devito, I thought it was hilarious, and iconic, in the most ironic way possible. Great job Rachael!!

Miss William!!! With the RUVEALS! I was gagged at all the tiktok dancing, but it got a little repetitive at times. Your lip sync was solid and really in time with the music. I would have loved to see you do more though. Like change up the scenery or something. (I know it’s quarantine and a lot of people can’t do this in front of their families, but like roll around on your bed? On the floor? Something different)

Creativity - 7 C'mon brooklyn hytes!! I see your inspirations, and I see how it all accumulated. The song choice is very recent, which unfortunately makes it expected. I wish this could have been done in multiple takes, with scene / wardrobe changes etc. Effort - 6 The effort value comes in play with your original choreography. However, the lack of editing puts you beneath most of the other videos, because the low quality audio. Overall - 7 I feel like this music video was very average, I really liked the dancing, and I could see how much fun you were having with it, which makes me want to have fun and go dancing with you, but when it stacks up next to the other music videos, this is the score you earned.

Nice! Song choice great, you knew it well so you were able to focus on your dance and honestly, really good as a whole. Not a whole lot of effort because it is a one shot and you have several others against you who did more but still loved the video!
